Trump SHUTS EVERYTHING DOWN as Protests ERUPT

A wave of nationwide "No Kings" protests erupted across the United States, with thousands participating in demonstrations calling for democratic accountability and early voting. Protesters, including activists, community leaders, and former government insiders, condemned Donald Trump’s vision for the Triumphal Arch as a symbol of authoritarianism and self-aggrandizement, criticizing the militarization of public spaces and the use of taxpayer funds. Human chains formed in cities like San Francisco to visibly affirm the message: “vote.” The events also highlighted a major technological backlash, as Meta suspended the No Kings Instagram account during the protests—a move seen as censorship, echoing Brazil’s recent case where social media platforms faced legal action for algorithmic bias against left-wing candidates. Critics pointed out the irony that platforms removed Trump’s accounts after January 6 but now suppress dissenting voices, including those protesting Trump’s policies. Former Trump administration figures like Miles Taylor described the government as a “fucking ATM machine,” emphasizing the misuse of public power. The protests underscore a broader struggle between civic activism and state and corporate suppression. Despite strong public mobilization, organizers warn that political and technological forces continue to work against democratic engagement. The core message remains clear: Americans must stand together, defend their right to vote, and ensure their voices are heard before the midterms.

We cannot be weak, we cannot be weak, we cannot be weak, we cannot be weak, we cannot be weak, we cannot be weak. So why are we here? We're here to send a message through our voices, music, signs, and art that Americans are mad as hell, and we will vote! Damn right, and you know, check out the balloon in the background. What you're looking at on your screen right now is one of 3,000 different No Kings protests that took place today across the United States of America. People really showed up, they showed out, they used their voice, and they called Donald Trump and this administration out for their BS. These events specifically focused on getting people out to vote and vote early to stand up to Republicans, which is so needed and so necessary right now. And here's another one I wanted to talk about. This first one that we looked at actually took place at the Triumphal Arch that Donald Trump wants to build, the location of it, and they made sure to touch on that as well. But this one in San Francisco I loved especially because people formed a human chain saying, vote. All these thousands of people, it looks like, out in San Francisco saying, vote. And you're going to see it on your screen right now, a better view, kind of like a wide view of what it looked like from a bird's eye view. And there it is. It says, you have to turn your head a little bit, but it says, vote. Nightmare. No kings. And this human chain is huge. There are a lot of people out there and a lot of people at the different protests across the United States. And of course, during these no kings events, Donald Trump and his buddies tried to do everything they possibly could to silence them, to interfere with the protests. We'll talk about that in just a moment. But they really went AWOL. They went all in on trying to stop people from making their voices heard today. But first of all, before we get into that, I want to show you what some of the speakers said at these different events. So this was in December. E.C. and Virginia and whatnot in the locations where Donald Trump has targeted a speaker saying this is the planned site of the triumphal arch. What triumph is there in continuing to position our military against our own people, which is something that Trump is actually trying to do with the arch that he wants to build? And yet we all see how our country's resources are being diverted to normalize authoritarian projects on top of these disinformation campaigns. For instance, this is the. Land site of the triumphal arch. I ask, what triumph is there to be had? What triumph is there in continuing to position our military against their own people? The president said he wants snipers on there. Who are they meant to be looking at through their scopes? In the past year, our communities have been surveilled, kidnapped. Terrorized and in some cases murdered by mass federal agents. Our military has been ordered to carry out war crimes while suppressing their own conscience and the fundamental right to elect our representatives is under attack. That's why holding our officials accountable by voting early is so important and completely agree voting early, just voting period voting so important in these midterm elections. And what she's saying is actually true. By the way, Donald Trump is claiming that the triumphal arch is now a military complex. Apparently, they're going to be storing drones and snipers there. This is what he said on social media at the strong request of the United States military. By the way, there is no record of this request, probably because it didn't happen. And for national security purposes, I have agreed to convert the magnificent triumphal arch plans since the Civil War era many years ago and the receptive circle adjoining the Arlington Memorial Bridge into a top grade military complex. Slash triumphal arch to house store and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones plus snipers on both the roof and plaza areas and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage. So I think the speaker is right. We have to be asking ourselves, who are they planning to point those snipers at? Why are we storing snipers and sniper ammunition and drones in an arch that's meant to be? It's a celebration of something. You know, Donald Trump claims a celebration of America. It's more of a celebration of himself. But why are we doing that? That seems a little weird to me. I think it seems a little weird to a lot of people. And I think it's also right to call out Donald Trump's pet project. I mean, he is spending billions, billions of dollars on his different renovations in D.C. with the arch, with the reflecting pool, with the ballroom, with the Kennedy Center. All these different things that he's wanting to do to, you know, somehow involve himself and put his name on something. Spending billions of dollars in taxpayer money. What happened to Doge, by the way? What happened to cutting wasteful spending? You know, Elon Musk and Donald Trump, they went after, like, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP. They called that wasteful. But building an arch that contains snipers and sniper ammunition is apparently well within the budget. It is so backwards. It is so insane. Here's another speaker I wanted to show you. Miles Taylor, a former member of Donald Trump's administration, that being Trump 1.0. He wrote that anonymous book talking about his insider view into the Trump administration. He has, of course, since turned on Trump and the Republicans. And this is what he had to say at his No Kings event, the same one we just heard from, saying that it's all been turned, the government, into an effing ATM machine for Trump's projects. Now, let me say, we've talked about this a lot today. The corruption is breathtaking, okay? It's breathtaking. The White House, he's building that billion-dollar ballroom with a bunker underneath. Of course, going to try to build an arch at this site. He has put his, yes, boo it. He has put his face on the coins. He's put his signature on the currency. He's put his damn face on our park passes. I urge you to get scissors. Snap those in half. Keep George Washington. Drop the Trump off of them. He's put his name on ships. He's put his name on airports. He's put his name on federal programs. He's put his name on the 59 companies he has started since he came back into office. Did you know that? 59 new entities and the $2 billion he's made. So I want to ask you, this guy, do you want his name on the buildings? No, you don't. He has turned the presidency into a side hustle. He has turned the White House into a deposit box for bribes. And he has turned your government into, forgive my words, a fucking ATM machine. Mmm. Man, he's exacting. Exactly right. I'm loving the energy from these protests. You know, three weeks away from the midterms. They are not far away at all. Maybe even less than three weeks from the midterms at this point. I love the energy. I'm loving what I'm seeing in these different protests. Al Sharpton was also in New York City at the New York City Kings at No Kings event. And he went off. He also said something that I think you should hear. And then we're going to talk about how Donald Trump and his buddies tried to interfere in these No Kings protests today. Watch. Thank you. We are here today. Because we are all under siege. We have a man in the White House that is under the hallucination that he is king. And we come together, black, white, Latino, Asian, gay, straight, trans, all of us together saying we will have no kings in the United States. We will not have our votes taken from us. We will not have our rights taken from us. We will not be separated. We may not be the same water, but we are of the same blood. The blood of Americans that shed and died to get the right to vote. And your billions will not take that right from us. Blacks and Jews, Goodman, Cheney, and Swerner gave up their life. And they didn't give it up for you to sit in a penthouse and act like the White House is an extension of your penthouse. Damn, I love that line. Don't act like the White House is an extension of your penthouse. That was a good one. Thank you, Reverend, for that one. That was a really good line. So it's just great to see these protests. Great to see the energy. But as I mentioned, Donald Trump and his buddies tried to interfere with the protest in the middle of it taking place. During these protests, 3,000 events, people needing communication, needing to understand what's going on around the country. Meta, which is like Facebook and Instagram and all those platforms, suddenly suspended the No King's Instagram account in the middle of the day. In the middle of their day of action, they said, account gone. This shocking censorship just comes weeks before the midterms. One of the organizers of the No King's events, Ezra Levine, said Mark Zuckerberg's Meta just suspended the No King's Instagram account. I just rushed back for my local No King's to jump on this. Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro No King's folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No King's today. The nerd Reich strikes again, which is a nice take on the third Reich that applies to Donald Trump. He also did an interview with Midas Touch. They spoke to him. Organizer Ezra Levine is sounding the alarm after Meta suspended. the Instagram account for the movement saying, quote, this is striking. reminiscent of what we saw in Brazil, we might be seeing something similar from Meta in our country right now. We're not going to stop organizing against this regime. We're not going to stop organizing against the regime's collaborators on the outside. And what he is referring to is something that just got settled in court recently. A ruling just came down. Brazil's Lula, who is the left-wing candidate in their presidential election, has won in court a challenge against Meta for alleged pro-Bolsonaro algorithm bias. Now, Bolsonaro is the Trump endorse, basically, you know, the right-wing candidate in Brazil, super crazy, a lunatic. And they won this court case saying that Meta had an alleged bias, an algorithmic bias toward Bolsonaro that not only boosted him, but also tore down Lula. That's what Levine is alluding to here, that maybe you're seeing something similar right now in the United States that. was just kind of settled and ruled on in Brazil. Something to keep in mind, even Bill Kristol, you know, big Republican, said the first subpoena for the new Democratic Congress should be to Mark Zuckerberg for taking down the No Kings Instagram account in the middle of one of the largest days of civic activism in American history. No Kings. And that's coming from Bill Kristol, everybody. It's not something you see every day. But of course, he has also turned on Donald Trump. And think about the irony here. Think about how backwards this is. Of course, after January 6th, Mark Zuckerberg, Meta, and a variety of different social media platforms took down Donald Trump's accounts because he was inciting violence that is explicitly against their terms and conditions. They took down his account, and then Donald Trump got back into office and was running for president as well and sued Meta and all these different platforms. And Meta and Zuckerberg was one of the social media platforms that bent the knee when they agreed to pay Donald Trump $25 million over the suspension. So they're willing to give Donald Trump money after suspending him, but the No Kings Instagram account gets taken down in the middle of the day, and there's no comment from Meta. There's no nothing. There's no recourse. It's just like, yeah, you know, it happened. And that's kind of, that's all you need to know. It just happened. And, you know, Mark Zuckerberg has had quite the right-wing shift over the past couple of years, donating money to Donald Trump, hanging out with Donald Trump at the White House, kind of endorsing a lot of his policies, which he hadn't really seen previously. But meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg is clamping down on left-wing accounts and left-wing people. We've learned that Meta blocked dozens of Instagram accounts protesting the Kushner-aligned Albanian resort project. This is the project that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are working on in Albania that none of the Albanian people want, by the way. It's on this land that's meant to be protected, and suddenly the land became not protected, and they got a permit for the resort. People are pissed off, but a bunch of these accounts got taken down for calling this stuff out, which is really just insane, really just crazy stuff. And look, Donald Trump knows that he has a lot of these tech companies in his pocket, and he's not going to let them get away with it. So he's going to pocket. He said at a rally today, actually. So, you know, while this is all taking place, I called Google, Google Maps. They wouldn't have taken my call in the first term. Now they kiss my ass. And he's referring to renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. He's saying in the first term, they wouldn't have done anything for me. Now they help me out. They kiss my ass. And if I call with a request, they take it and they do it, which is just so humiliating for these companies. I mean, these companies are very wealthy. They do great for themselves every day. And yet many of them have. And he's taken notice and he's willing to call that out in front of the entire country, which I think is especially embarrassing. And we know how Donald Trump handled the last No Kings protest back in October. I remember. You know why? Because I was the one who Donald Trump posted this video about, and he was in the jet flying, an AI jet flying, dropping feces on people. This is how he handled the last protest. Remember this? I remember it. I still get asked about this video to this day. This is Donald Trump. And then look, there's me. There's me. Embarrassing for the United States. So I just wanted to cover this. The main takeaway here is the positives that there were thousands, hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people out across. We don't have the official number, but a lot of people out across the United States today protesting against Donald Trump, protesting against this administration. That's the positive. The negative is that there's still so much work to do. And there are people and companies and organizations and the president of the United States who will try to do it. And I think that's the main takeaway here. And I think that's the to stand in the way of that progress and try to stand in the way of that activism. We just can't let them. We got to get out there and vote and make our voices heard. So look, I will leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching. Please make sure to subscribe down below, drop a like on the video comment. Let me know what you think about the story and everything we just talked about. Have an amazing rest of your day and we will talk soon.

FAQs

The 'No Kings' protests aim to resist authoritarianism and political corruption, with participants demanding accountability and the right to vote. They emphasize that Americans are not willing to accept a government led by a perceived 'king' like Donald Trump.

The protests occurred across 3,000 locations throughout the United States, including major cities like San Francisco and New York City, with a notable demonstration at the planned site of Donald Trump’s Triumphal Arch.

Protesters formed human chains that said 'vote,' criticized Trump’s plans for the Triumphal Arch, and denounced the use of military forces and drones in a structure meant to celebrate democracy, not authoritarianism.

Critics argue that the arch, intended as a celebration of American democracy, is being reimagined as a military complex with snipers and drones, raising concerns about surveillance, militarization, and the erosion of democratic values.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) suspended the official 'No Kings' Instagram account during the protests, prompting accusations of censorship and algorithmic bias, similar to issues seen in Brazil.

Miles Taylor, a former Trump official, called the government an 'ATM machine' for Trump's projects, stating the presidency has become a profit-driven side hustle with widespread corruption and misuse of public funds.
