Trump’s Own Words Expose the Madness of the Iran War

The video critically examines Donald Trump’s statements regarding the ongoing Iran conflict, highlighting inconsistencies and contradictions in his claims. Trump claims he never promised wars, yet the U.S. is now deeply involved in a war he says began after he destroyed Iran’s nuclear program in 2025. He repeatedly claims the war would last only weeks and that it is now over, yet it has persisted for over six months. He asserts that Iran has abandoned nuclear ambitions and that the U.S. can end the war now, but insists on a written guarantee to prevent future development. This demand, combined with the elimination of Iran’s leadership, makes a diplomacy-based resolution nearly impossible. Trump also openly downplays the economic toll on ordinary Americans, boasting that high oil prices benefit U.S. energy states and claiming the cost is a “small price” to pay. He has no regrets, stating he would start the war again even if fuel prices tripled. The transcript suggests the conflict is effectively a “forever war” driven by political and ideological motives rather than strategic necessity. The speaker urges Trump voters to reflect on these points and consider whether supporting Republican policies aligns with their values, especially given the financial and social costs of the war.

Hey, it's Will Salatan from the Bullwork. Look, we all know there's a lot of Trump voters out there, people who voted for Donald Trump in 2024, who are not happy about the economy, and a lot of them are not happy about the Iran War either. So what I want to do today is I want to talk to those voters. So if you're not a Trump voter, and honestly, if you're a Bullwork follower, you're almost certainly not, I hope you'll share this video with somebody you know who is a Trump voter. So speaking now to the Trump voters, full disclosure, I don't agree with you about Trump, and I don't expect you to listen to me. But what I want to show you is Trump himself on the campaign trail, explaining why he started the Iran War and why we're still over there and what this is doing to you and to your pocketbook. Personally, I think if you watch what he says, the logical response would be not to vote Republican in this election, but you can make your own decision. All I'm asking is that you watch. Okay, so I'm going to show you 10 points that Trump has made this month in October. Here's the first one. He says that when he ran for president in 2024, he did not tell you that he was going to start a war. Here he is at Arale in South Carolina on Wednesday. Here for the things that I'm telling you I did, I never discussed in the campaign. I never said we're going to take over Venezuela beautifully. I never said we're going to stop Iran from having a nuclear, you know, we have to do that. That's true. He did not tell you that he was going to start any wars. In fact, you probably remember, he said he would not start any wars. He said that he was America first and that we were going to stay out of other countries. But here we are, two years later stuck in a war in Iran. And by the way, if you want to see the full context of any of these clips I'm showing you, you can scroll down below this video. We put links there so you can watch the whole speech. Okay, that's point number one point number two. Trump says we obliterated. We obliterated Iran's nuclear program last year. Here he is speaking in Florida on Friday. We obliterated Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity with Operation Midnight Hammer. You remember that late at night, one of them. You probably remember that attack. Trump sent B2 bombers to hit Iran's nuclear sites in June of 2025. And I will give him full credit. That was a huge, huge success. Here he is talking about it a couple of weeks ago in Montana. And they will never have a nuclear weapon. It was all about the nuclear weapon. And we've already done that with B2 bombers. They will never have a nuclear weapon. We've already done that. He said we obliterated their nuclear program. That was more than a year ago. But then, then he went back this year, this year in February, just just eight months after we obliterated their nuclear program. He went back and started this war, the one that we're in now. And Trump says when he did that, he knew. He says he knew that he was going to drive up your prices. Here he is two weeks ago at a rally in Arizona. This is a very small price, people, but now I thought it would go up much higher. We were at $1.85 a gallon. And we were at $1.95 at another station. $85.95. I said, boy, that's good. I said, but we have to meet tomorrow because the Islamic Republic of Iran is two weeks away from having a nuclear weapon. And I knew gasoline would go high, but I had no idea, I thought it was going to go much higher, to be honest with you now, I can say. There's a couple of things to talk about there. One is he says he started this war in February because Iran was two weeks away from having a nuke, but that was just eight months after he obliterated their program. So that doesn't really make a lot of sense, right? This message is brought to you by pendulum metabolic daily. In fact, he admitted in that clip that he thought he thought it was going to raise your prices even more than it has. And it still might. So he decided to start a war at your expense to stop a nuclear program that he had already destroyed. Let's move on to point number four. Trump says when he started the war, he told you that it was going to be over in a couple of weeks. Here he is at Aralei and Alabama on October 2nd. And we've been there for a little more than six months and they said he said he'd do it in two or three weeks I did. And then here he is in Oklahoma around the same time, admitting that he promised the war would be over in four to six weeks. And I said it numerous times that it would take four to six weeks to get rid of the Iran nuclear threat. And I did it in one night. That was when the B2 bombers went in there. You can see there that he's confused. The B2 bombers went in last year. The promise about four to six weeks was this year. But the point is Trump knows he told you that the war would be over in no more than six weeks. And here we are eight months later. So that takes us to point number five. Why are we still there? Well, actually, Trump says we could leave. He says we already achieved what we set out to do. Here he is in Kansas last Monday. By the way, somebody said you could leave right now. It's true. We could leave right now. They're not going to have a nuclear weapon. Those B2 bombers. There you go. We did the job. They're not going to have a nuke, right? And here he is at the rally in Alabama. And we could leave tomorrow and it would take them years to rebuild from what we did to them because they just wouldn't it would take him years years to rebuild. He says and and this takes us to point number six. He also says not only not only did we wipe out their nuclear program. He says the Iranian regime has also decided they've decided not to build a nuclear weapon. Here he is talking to the press on October 3rd. By the way, Iran, as you know, is virtually giving up any plans of a nuclear weapon. Look, I don't know if you believe that, but the point is Trump believes it. Maybe he has some intelligence. I don't know. But he believes that we destroyed their nuclear program and he believes that they've given up. They've decided not to restart it. Which again, raises the question, why don't we leave? And the answer from Trump is point number seven. He won't leave till Iran signs an agreement, an agreement that it will never develop nuclear weapons. Again, don't take it from me. Watch the interview. This is Rob Finnerty. He's a very conservative host on Newsmax. He was interviewing Trump on October 15th. You've stated many times that the Iran nuclear program has been totally decimated. If that's the case, why don't we pull up anchor now, declare victory and get out of there? Well, we could. But if we do that within a year, we may have to do it again. I want to do it so that- But that's okay. Do what you did when you took out the police. But you know what I would be more concerned? If I'm not president and we have some weak ineffective person like we've had for many years as president, they will allow that to go on. We want to make it so that they will never have a nuclear weapon. Never, he says, never. He's not going to leave till he is certain that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. And here's the key thing. He's not going to believe that. He's He says, "Till Iran puts it in writing." Here's what Trump told the press on October 10th. "At your rally, you said that the US has stopped Iran from having a nuclear wedding. That's right. Why not just declare victory at the end with it?" "I have to keep it that way. I don't want to have to do it in two years. We have to have a guarantee that they won't have it in the future." "I agree. It's actually a very good question. We can leave right now. We have to guarantee that they can't have it and we'll get that." A guarantee, he says, "We have to get a guarantee." He says, "We'll get it." He's not going to leave till Iran signs a guarantee. There's a lot of problems with that demand because for starters, what if they won't sign a guarantee? Is he just going to stay and bomb forever and isn't that literally a forever war? The other problem is point number eight. Trump doesn't know who to deal with in Iran because he killed all the leaders who could get their government to agree on a deal. Again, this is what he says. Here is the president at his rally in Arizona. "Their radar is gone, their anti-aircraft is gone, their leaders are gone. That's one of the problems I might have gone too far. I don't know who to help to deal with. I probably went a little too far, I'm sorry, because I don't know who to help with dealing with anymore." I mean, I'll give him credit. It's great that we took out some of those guys. That regime in Tehran was terrible and it still is. But you can see from what Trump said there that he didn't think this through it. He kept killing and killing and killing all their leaders to the point where he doesn't know how we're going to cut a deal to end the war. You're just going to have to sit there and pay the high prices until he figures something out. That takes us to point number nine. While you're doing that, while you're paying those prices, he is actually bragging that the high prices, the high prices are good because oil companies are making money from it. Again, don't take it for me. Watch the president. Here he is at the rally in Arizona. Our country is making more money than it's ever made because of the fact that oil is so high. Now, they're going to say, "Isn't it terrible?" He talked about the fact that he doesn't care about the little person they call them. I care more about the little person than I care about the big person. I care about the little person like crazy. But the fact is, because of the price of oil, Texas and Oklahoma, North Dakota and all these places, we're making a fortune. We're making a fortune, he says. We, we're making a fortune, not you, you're not making a fortune. So when he says we, who's he talking about? And then here he is on Saturday at a rally in Georgia. Our country is making hundreds of billions of dollars because of what's happened in the Middle East because they're coming to Texas and they're coming to Oklahoma and they're coming to Louisiana and they're taking that oil. We're making hundreds and hundreds of billions, trillions of dollars. But my people said, "Please don't mention that sir." Because people are paying a little higher. Sorry. Can we, can we pause right there? Can we, can we see that frame again where the president holds his hand up to make that gesture? Look at his fingers. Look at that little pinch he's doing. That's what he thinks you're paying. It's just a, it's just a little higher, he says, just, just a tiny little bit. And then he went on and he joked that the media would criticize him for bragging about making money from, from selling oil while people like you are paying for it. Here's what he said. No, I could just see the fake headlines. Senator Trump is talking about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. That'll be the headline. But I said, "I don't give a damn, I'm going to say it, we're making a freaking fortune." I don't think I need to say anything about what you saw there. His attitude about you and your suffering comes through loud and clear. And that brings us to point number 10. He has no regrets about the financial hit you're taking. Yesterday, Sunday, Trump was in Michigan. He said, "The higher prices that you're paying as a result of this war are no big deal." And he said, "If he had to do it all over again, and if the prices you had to pay were three times higher, he still, he still would have done the same thing." He would have started that war. You're going to take short term taking a hit. It's not a big hit. I thought gasoline would go up much more. I said, "Prices are going to go up." I thought, "Honestly, I thought they were going to go up much more, much more. $1.85, $1.85, just before I made that decision. And I have no second guess of it. I said, "If you had it to do again," I said, "Are you kidding?" I thought gas would be double and triple, and it's a small price to pay. No second thoughts, no big deal. You can see how determined he is to fight this war, regardless of what it's costing you. And there's no reason to think that the war is going to end anytime soon if Republicans stay in control of Congress. I want to show you one last clip that sums up the situation. This is Trump last week in the Oval Office. When people are unhappy with the gasoline, I hate to sound trivial, but they say it themselves. It's a big price, but actually it's a small price to pay for not letting Iran have a nuclear weapon. We could leave right now, and we would have done a good job, a great job. That beautiful play right there took them out, but it's under hundreds of tons of rock. Yeah, it's not good enough for me. We have to make sure it doesn't happen in five years, six years, ten years. And that's what's going to happen. So it really is, it's a very small price to pay for not letting the most dangerous country in the world have a nuclear weapon. Feel free to rewind that clip and play it back. He says everything, everything we just talked about. He says we already made sure with the B2 attack last year Iran wouldn't get a nuclear weapon. He says we could leave right now, but then he says that's not good enough. He says he's going to stay and make sure that they can't turn around and build a nuclear weapon ten years from now. That is a forever war. And he says if you have to pay more for gas and other stuff, that is a small price to pay. Now if you're okay with all of that, then sure you can go out, you can go out and vote Republican. But if you're not okay with what he's doing, then this election is your chance to send him and his party a message. See you next time.
