President Trump is reportedly considering replacing Chief of Staff Suzy Wiles, with Kevin McCarthy and Stephen Miller being suggested as successors. Critics argue both are politically and morally unfit—McCarthy struggled to maintain Republican support, and Miller’s aggressive policies like the Minnesota raids have drawn public criticism. Stephen Miller claims fear of prosecution, highlighting a broader need for accountability. The host calls for immediate, aggressive Democratic action, including subpoenas for key officials to answer under oath regarding alleged misconduct. A major point of contention is the "Save America Act," which is falsely presented as a voter ID bill by Republicans; in reality, it’s a birth certificate requirement that disenfranchises many, especially women and minorities. Scott Jennings is criticized for misleadingly supporting the bill, revealing systemic Republican hypocrisy. Voter sentiment is shifting, especially in rural areas like Wisconsin, where economic frustrations and unkept promises have led to disillusionment with Trump. The host asserts that Democrats must move beyond political inertia and appoint a bold, principled leader—such as Chris Murphy or Chris Van Hollen—to represent the public, fight corruption, and uphold democratic values. He warns against complacency, emphasizing that inaction could lead to long-term political losses and a erosion of trust in democratic institutions.
All right, joining me today on I Hip News, Isaiah Martin, Isaiah, major news breaking today. Trump is considering firing another woman in his administration, pop this up. Politico is reporting, President Trump is calling up friends to ask their views on his chief of staff, Suzy Wiles, and whether to replace her. Kevin McCarthy and Stephen Miller are names being floated as potential successors to Wiles. I mean, no surprise here, but I think we're going to be the beginning stages of major shakeups. - Yeah, I mean, look, Trump needs scapegoats because he obviously doesn't want to have self-reflection about how bad everything has been. I think it's laughable, the names he wants to pick. - Yeah, Kevin McCarthy couldn't keep his caucus together, Republicans opposed him, couldn't get anything done. He lost multiple votes when he was speaker. You got idiots like Stephen Miller, like a total ideologue, when he had it this way, he was doing the raids in Minnesota that were going in that were extremely unpopular, right? So you're going to get more of that stuff going on probably is just going to double down, it's crazy. - And there was some reporting I reported earlier in an earlier episode we dropped. Stephen Miller is calling all of his friends terrified that a presidential pardon won't go far enough. He is terrified that the state and local governments are going to try him and incarcerate him. And I want to do everything in our power to help make that American true. - We should, because look, I mean, think about all the embezzlement that we've seen, the stealing of our tech, I mean, the Kimberly Guilful stuff, it's just a tip of the iceberg. - Oh, child's play. - You know what I mean? It's like they're so sloppy with it too. - Yeah. - That's the thing about like, I always tell people, not only are these people doing crazy stuff, but they're incompetent. It's the sloppiness of the way they have gone about all this, which is going to be really beautiful. That's why I think on day one, I hope Democratic leadership's like, we got to get subpoenas. I mean, see, I'm bold with it, right? - Me too. - I think that we should go to the same arena that Trump had when he went right after the inauguration. He did all this executive work. Let's go get all the members of Congress to go do committee meetings inside those suites. And let's just start getting those subpoenas ready to go. One by one, on every single one of them, Stephen Miller, I want to know what happened with Kimberly Guilful. I want to know about what happened with all these situations. - Gary Kushner. - All of them. Immediately, make them answer under oath for everything that they've done. - And if they ignore subpoenas, the Democrats mustn't be shy about holding them in contempt and arresting them. - I agree. - They need to be arrested if they do not show up. That's why, you know, you had Bill and Hillary Clinton that showed up, they were subpoenaed and they went and showed up for the Epstein file. - That's right. - And you have these Republicans that will not show up if they're subpoenaed. And so I think the Democrats, I have an interview coming out this weekend with Robert Garcia, head of oversight. And I think that he is really preparing. So he is fired up. All right, let's get to lady Jennings, often a target friend of the show, friend of the show. You were on Abby Phillips show last night with lady Jennings. Let's just play the clip. - Yes. - He has to be about the same America act. - But what's the same America act? It's a bill that is a passport to vote bill. That is what the bill is. If you read the bill, Tex, you know that and everybody else knows that. He said that he supported voter ID and that is what the law is in the state of Texas and what he will support at the federal level as well. - Do you think he would vote for the state of America? - Of course not. - Probably not, and that's right. But why did he admit so much? - Because that is not what the bill is. - Because, but that's what the guy wanted him to do. - The question was why did he just straight - Why did he shoot straight with the guy? - Because you guys lied on the very premise on what the bill is. - Well, the barrel is not what the bill is. - The barrel is a voter ID bill. It is a bill to require effectively a passport to register to vote. Are you going to disagree that only five states actually would be able with their IDs as it is today to be able to qualify under the state of America? So are you going to say that they're not true? The state of America? - Love it, love it, inject it into my veins. Are you just taking them to task? And you know you're winning the argument when that old queen sits there and he's going to be dead. (laughing) I don't know. No, you were cooking. - All right, tell us about what the argument was, the Save America Act and why Lady Jennings is such a disappointment day in, day out. - You know, it's fascinating. So we were talking about the Tallariko town hall. He had it last night and he was answering about a bunch of things. But this particular was about the Save Act. And so Scott was trying to essentially say that Tallariko is hiding behind not wanting voter ID by opposing the Save America Act, which is just simply not true, because it's legally a state of Texas or voter ID is the thing in the state of Texas. And Tallariko has said multiple times that he's okay with that. But the Save Act is not that. It is a passport to vote bill. It is a birth certificate to vote bill, which disenfranchises a lot of people. And it's still, even with the real ID upgrades that have been made, only five states qualify under it. So the Republicans like Scott love to go on television. They say, "Oh, well, this is a bill for voter ID. It's a bill that's just going to require that when that's not with the bill, Texas." And so I know that because I read the whole act. And so when Scott goes on there, he tries to go and play this little game, but it's like, "No, I know what the Texas." And that's why, you know, he reacted the way he did. And you know, Republicans historically have always lied to the public and said that there's all this voter fraud. Even the Heritage Foundation, which is a terrorist organization, in my opinion, a domestic terrorist organization full of bigotry, misogyny, etc. - Absolutely right, America. They really hate America. They did a study about fraudulent voting in America. You can't find any. But Republican ideas are so unpopular. The only thing they can do is make it difficult for people to vote, particularly historically black people. And the Save America Act is really targeting women, women that are married and took their husband's name, will be disenfranchised. And getting a document is difficult. And these people, then, that control how you get documents is the government, which they're putting in the swamp. This is a fix. They're trying to put a fix in and they're laser focused on this. And Scott Jennings is so, he's such a smudge. Like after January 6th, you know, he had this tiny little moment of clarity, tiny little moment. And he knows how important the Save Act is to Donald Trump because it is a cheating mechanism. It is an anti-democratic cheating mechanism. And I think Lady Jennings just desperately wakes up every day and looks in the mirror and says, I'm going to make him proud today. (laughing) You know, like how am I masculine? Yeah. How am I masculine? You can see you're sitting there with conviction, fighting for democracy. And he's sitting there like fighting for Donald Trump. It's pretty sad, isn't it? Oh my god, it's awful. All right, let's look at some conservative polling and with some predictions for the midterms. Pop this up. Senate projection from Rasmussen, Democrats, 53 Republicans, 46. Now Isaiah, let's talk about you, I, all of my audience here. We all have a lot of PTSD from 24. And I get excited about the polls. And I project my moral compass. Like nobody's going to vote for this. Everybody wants to see these people held to account. And I project that onto the population. But I think there's a lot of secret, embarrassed Trump voters. They're the proud ones that go to the rallies and the proud ones are the 29%. The 29%. Scott Jennings is at the top of the 29%. But do you think the secret Trump voter is still out there? Somebody who knows better, but does it anyway? Yes, I do think that that person exists, but it's not enough to win them this election. So I was just in Wisconsin and I was going to rural Wisconsin to go and talk to people. And you would see folks that are independent, folks that are Republicans, some of that voter for Trump, some of that didn't. And it's amazing how many of them have just changed their tune. They're mad about the gas prices. Rural Wisconsin nights are really frustrated with the tariffs. I can say on my own, I have my live stream where I debate Republicans. And going into 2024, I mean, we would just get dozens and dozens of just Trumpers that would just be like just berating on every single thing they could. Now, they don't have anything to say. Like, and it's not just on my stream. It's a whole thing like why to where the Republicans, they might come up there for a second. And then they'll say, yeah, I don't really, I'm not really with them. Because they know that this stuff is crazy. They can't really defend it. They ran on no new wars. Didn't do that. He said he was going to release the Epstein files. Didn't do that. He said he was going to cut gas prices down to less than two bucks a gallon, didn't do that. Right, it's done. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So it's like everything that he said he was going to do, he did not do. There's a 29% of America that still approves of what Donald Trump does. And I think maybe there is something to, maybe it's a little bit higher than that because there are some secret Trump voters that voted for him for other reasons than what they like to project. Yeah. But I really do believe that comments in America, the majority of them see the stuff for what it is. Okay, so let me ask you this. From the rule Wisconsin people, that always vote Republican. That's right. And they're saying, okay, we're not with him anymore. Do they cross over and vote for a Democrat or do they just sit on the sofa? I think for some, they will just sit on the sofa. Which helps us. Yeah. And that's mine. [LAUGHTER]
I was actually talking to a conservative the other day. And he was like, you know what? I hate the Democrats. I hate the Republicans. I've been voting Republican my whole life. I said, so you voted for Bush, you voted for HW and all that. So he was like, yeah. And he said, so this is the time you're not gonna vote. He said, yeah. I said, well, am I gonna change your mind there, brother? (laughing) He's like, okay, like if you don't want, like that's on you, right? So look, for these people that vote conservative, they said on the couch, that's fine. But I think that again, you know, what is drawing people to the Democrats is that very specific candidates are running on policy specific things. Like Talleriko last night, Universal Child Care. That was massive. I was very progressive and I was glad that he did that. David Crowley, he was running for Governor Wisconsin, talked about rooting the revolving door of lobbyists to where people might be a state legislator. And then they might go to become a lobbyist. And then that influences how they make their decisions when they're in office. He wants to in all of that. He also wants to go and help with child care over there as well. People in these Democrats, a lot of them, not all of them, but a lot of them, are running on real concrete things. And I think that that's what kind of gets people, you know. - Deliverables. - Right. - Yeah. So do you think if we get 53 in the Senate, do you think the Senate should make chuckles the majority leader, or do you think they should go rogue? And vote for somebody else. And you're perfect world. Me personally, I want chuckles. He's not the man at the moment. - So, I did, here's the thing. I disagree with a lot of stuff that Schumer has done. And personally, I think that some, other people would be a lot more aggressive than him, which is personally what I like. - Yep. - But knowing like how the Senate, like how Schumer controls so money of like their money, I don't see them like moving away from him because he like literally gives money and raises money for almost the entirety of the Democratic Senate caucus. - Yeah, he won't give any to Angie Nixon. - That's right. And that's a problem, right? I think that there should be someone aggressive. - For me, if they do that, then they haven't listened to the base. - I agree. - If this is so unprecedented, it's just everything we're experiencing is so unprecedented. And if the Democrats play politics as usual, if we do get the blue tsunami, if we're able to overcome cheating and all of the things that Trump is doing, and all of the chin-and-against, they're gonna pull on election day and after election day, 'cause it's coming. If we're able to overcome all of that, and then the Republicans are like, "Well, it's just, I mean, the Democrats are like, "Well, it's just, this is the way it works." It's a seniority. I think that's treating the electorate in such a patronizing way. And that's why we will ultimately end up potentially losing 28. - Well, and here's the other thing about that, right? What cannot happen, whether it's Schumer or somebody else, is them to act like they're a government in waiting. And what I mean by that is, they'll say, "Oh, well, we're not actually interested "in holding people account "because we have to bring bipartisan solutions." Like, that cannot happen. - If they do that, I'm throwing this microphone out the window. - 100%, right? And whoever is the leader, whether it's Schumer, whether they take a lead, 'cause, look, I don't even know who would replace them. If you got so much stronger, right? - What about if it was like a Chris Murphy? Somebody who is very outspoken right now, who has shown that Chris Murphy has been a guest, he's shown that he listens to the base, he understands what the problems with unregulated capitalism have been. Somebody who listens more, maybe not just like the, you know, the most furthest left senator there is, but somebody who's a, and who will fight? - Right. Yeah, Chris would, I mean, you know, Murphy is a good senator and I think he would do a good job, and I think he's very solid. I think Chris Van Hollen is another person. - Chris Van Hollen would be my top choice because he is incorruptible. And he has really fought for Americans that have been killed in the West Bank, every other senator is silent, completely silent on it. Yes, and so it's just, when you hear somebody rise up and really take a moral position, I'm with you on that. - So that's what I'm saying. I think someone like him that they both would be strong, but regardless of who it is, right? I think that the senators can't be like married to a leader if that makes sense. If you get in there and you realize that they're not doing what we want them to do, you gotta go get another person. - I agree. - All right, let's take a little check in with Little Moses Mike Johnson, speaker of the house. Let's check in. - For real. - Our little Pipsqueak. Let's check in and see what he's up to. Pop this up. Oh my God, Kyla, I can't see that. You read this. I can't see that far. - This is not your father's Democrat party. The dangerous Marxist left has taken it over to push their anti-American policy agenda. The choice is now clear. And even in the mainstream media knows it. Will America remain the most free, most powerful, and most successful, most benevolent nation in the history of the world? Or will it shred the Constitution and become the socialist republic of America, heading with down a. What is this? - A dark, deadly road. - A deadly road to communism and ruin. This is the future that Democrats want. - Okay, here's my problem with Little Moses Mike. He centers his. - Is that a Nazi? - No, no, it's a cover of. It's the cover of Newsweek and it has Zoran Abdul-Elsaid, Bernie, AOC, and Hassan. - You know what I'm gonna put? They gotta put Piker in this, I'm where. - He wouldn't be here. - All the politicians, and I put the twigs in here. 'Cause I think they're all horny for Hassan because nothing else has been done, you know? But my thing with the current speaker of the House, he centers his faith. It is a feature of his speaking of everything that he does. He talks about, well, if the Democrats win and the Lord has sent me a message, maybe I'll go back to Shreeport and start a lawn mowing business, which I wanna help him manifest that. My problem with this shit is, is it's so inherently anti-Christian, I'm not a Christian, but I understand what the central character of the Bible, the Savior, Jesus Christ, spoke out explicitly against the accumulation of wealth. He was very clear on that. You cannot worship both God and money. Little Moses Mike worships money, and he worships rich men. And I think that the Democratic Party has got to amp it up on these Christian nationalists that are such hypocrites in their faith, and they have got to get aggressive. Because he gets a lot of cover for saying immoral, anti-Christian things, because he Christians signals to the base. And they think, oh, he's a good guy. He's talking about the Lord. Therefore, I don't have to believe my lying ears right now. And I think it's just such a disgrace, the way he and so many of these MAGA Christians operate. - Yeah, I agree with that. You know, I'm a Catholic, and I think that he has just such a perverted view of what religion is. And that's why I do think that it's important to get people like Italico, like Warnock, that can go forward and say, look, that's not the Christianity that I see, right? That can go to dukes with him specifically on that. 'Cause I don't personally think there's anything Christian about defunding the sick, defunding, - Snap benefits. - Right. - Summer lunch program for kids. - Rejecting refugees. - Right, turning them away. - Yeah. - And effectively supporting a president that says beefing with the Pope. - Yeah. The Republican Party is beefing with the Pope. - Because he's too empathetic. He's too much like Jesus. - Right. So like if you have reached this point where you think that you are a better moral arbiter than the Pope, that's pretty crazy. - It's, and it's the hubris that they all operate, but I think more than anything, closing thoughts is that these MAGA Christians are weaponizing Christianity to people in America that don't have much, but they have their faith, and they have pride in being an American. And the Republican Party exploits two things that people take as a source of pride and weaponize it against them. And it's just, it's such a shame. I think Little Moses, Mike Grindr Johnson, that's his official name on this podcast. - I think we're all too. - Yeah, Kebler Elf, I think he will go down in history as the most impotent, worthless speaker of the house we've ever had. - I agree with that, because he stands for nothing. Let me ask you this. Do you think that someone like Mike is gonna be forgotten like in history, like as time goes on? - Immediately. You know who nobody talks about anymore? And this just happened like a month and a half ago. Lindsey Graham. Crickets, have you heard of Peep? - Yes, true. - He died, and nothing. You know who else? Rush Limbaugh. - I was just about to say that. - Talk, talk, talk, talk, he dies. - And then nothing. - And what he talks about. - Because they don't say anything remarkable. They don't say anything that makes change in history that is, that you want to remember. No. - They don't move the needle at all. - Lindsey Graham is dead, and nobody talks about it. - That's right. - I do from time to time, because these sex workers, These K-Six workers are coming out talking about Lindsay, but I was
was so blowing before the end. But anyway, Isaiah, I have to race to the airport. Thank you so much. I love that you're taking the flag back. - We got to. - You got to. - We gotta save this country from these pathetic fashions. - We do. And next time you're in New York, swing by every time my audience loves you. - Absolutely. - All right. (upbeat music)
