You have to have the most normal Republicans, normal politicians, the most serious of people in our party up on the stage making serious arguments. I don't want to hear anything from Sebastian Gorka or Steve Bannon or any of those kind of people who independence are repulsed by. I think this should be for the people who are skeptical right now. And if they do that, you're right, it's an amazing opportunity. Nobody, myself included, is going to watch midterm convention speeches over football. I really don't understand the strategy here." So listen, this is what they're doing. What you're doing campaigns sometimes, if you know something's going to be shitty, you just temper expectations. You don't even pretend like you don't even pretend like it's going to be good. You just say, "Hey, we got to do this. It's going to be terrible. We know it's going to be terrible. Don't pay attention to it. And let's just move on." It sounds like that's what Republicans are doing. They're like, "This is a waste of money. No one's going to show up. We know it. They don't know it. Trump doesn't know it. So I think what that was is just kind of an incentive that we need to make sure that we're all, you know, supporting or working. Oh, okay. I like that because some members I think will like, I don't know if I want to pay that, but I get that. I'm also the finance chair for the NRCC. So I understand that this is definitely a team that can only make sure that we're staying on the majority and helping candidates who are in a lot tougher races where they're seeing Democrats being able to outspend them two, three to one, bringing in a lot of money from outside the state. We need to be able to support our partners. Now we also have some leak text messages that Donald Trump is sending to his voters that just sound very desperate to me. They are screaming, saying free tickets with links to the convention's registration page. It says here, as you can remember from that previous video, the free tickets you want to see President Trump at the midterm convention RSVP now. They are literally giving these things away because no one wants them. They suckered, of course, the Republican members of Congress to give away $25,000 of their money, but they have to fill a stadium. And as it stands right now, I don't know if that thing's going to be full. When the thing happens, we will, I guess we will see. We will see. I'm looking forward to it. All right. Now, the frenzy giveaway comes as a party members express limited enthusiasm for their first ever midterm convention, which is designed to energize Republicans before voters head to the pop ballot box in November 3rd. By holding it in Dallas, Trump and his MAGA allies are hoping to bolster fortunes of imbattle Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton who was locked in a surprisingly tight race with James Tallerico. The Daily Beast found that most Republicans in competitive house races were not planning to attend with some declining, even to say whether they would show in the White House also confirmed that not even Donald Trump's wife, Melania, is going to be showing up also sad. Meanwhile, the RNC has simultaneously tried to turn the gathering into a massive fundraising grab with Trump donors being asked for $250,000 to attend or round table with him and another $88,000 just for a photo. That's crazy. Well, I'm going to spend a quarter million dollars to sit next to this joke of a person. So, the RNC actually said that the event is supposed to draw 20,000 people and be the biggest in the party's history. Let's see. We'll see. They've also gone on the record saying this event will be larger than the Republican convention in Milwaukee in 2024, which by the way, had about 50,000 people attend.
