Trump's Day Just Got Worse

Donald Trump’s press conference in front of firefighters is a disturbing blend of absurdity, hostility, and dangerous misinformation. He claims to have "severe problems" while ignoring the real-world crises unfolding globally—such as attacks on tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, escalation in Ukraine, and North Korea’s nuclear tests. His remarks are laced with racism, including a misnaming of a man with serious sex trafficking allegations, and a false, fictionalized threat to impose the death penalty on anyone shooting firefighters. He mocks a Texas official, falsely calling him a "con man," and dismisses global dangers as jokes. Trump also undermines public safety by criticizing union protections, including those for firefighters, and by making hollow promises about economic growth while inflation rises. The event highlights his pattern of treating public service workers with contempt and fabricating narratives to deflect from accountability. His behavior, especially during a moment of national crisis, appears not only out of touch but dangerously delusional and irresponsible, raising serious concerns about his ability to govern responsibly. The tone and content mirror a satire of political dysfunction, yet the stakes are far too real to be viewed as mere comedy.

Donald Trump's day is getting even worse. He just held a press conference outside of the White House where he made a stunning admission. He said, "I have some very severe problems." And this was a press conference in front of firefighters. Here, play this clip. If you don't drink or you don't take drugs or you don't smoke, there's no problem. I have other problems. I have some very severe problems. But those are not one of them. I don't want to add them to the list. Do you understand that time? I don't want to add them to the list because if I did, I guarantee I wouldn't be here right now. Now, let's talk about some of those problems. Today, another tanker was hit in the Strait of Hormuz. Thirty tankers have been hit in and around the Strait of Hormuz by the IRGC since the beginning of October. Two tankers were hit off the coast of Romania in the Black Sea, Romania is a NATO member. The Houthis on Surala were able to strike the Saudi back government, the PLC's presidential palace in Aden with, we believe, six missiles. You have the war in Ukraine escalating. Russia continues to strike the energy sector in Ukraine. Ukraine said, "All right, we're going to continue to striking the Russian diesel refineries." And we've seen some strikes on those Russian diesel refineries. North Korea is testing more ballistic missiles from its nuclear capable submarines. There was the PPI readout this morning, the producer price index or wholesaler inflation, which came in at 6.3 percent when the expectation was 5.3 percent, CPI consumer price inflation, or the consumer price index is at 3.7 percent, which we expect to increase as well. So inflation even hotter than expected and people were expecting really bad inflation numbers. And then we learn the Trump regime is now covering up the report prepared by the Pentagon about the war crimes in Manab, the elementary school, where the Trump regime slaughtered the elementary school girls on the first day of the war. So while all of that's going on, Donald Trump's like, let me do a press conference in front of firefighters and I'll tell them I'm having severe problems. He also oddly then told the firefighters that we know that you don't like each other. So you're going to be very uncomfortable when we put you at tables with people who you don't want to be around. You're playing this clip. It's an honor to have you here. Maybe we should play a little music. You don't have to talk to each other so much. Some of you don't like each other. Some of you are very uncomfortable tables and some of you are loving each other, but I think there's a lot of love in this group. There's all love. I can tell you there's all love coming from this. He then said, but it's okay if you don't like each other because I'm going to give you a special coin and people love the special coin that I give you. So here's the coin firefighters here play this clip. We have a special coin that we're going to hand out to everybody here at everybody wants that coin more than anything else. They have a choice of the coin or meeting Trump. They say we'll take the coin, please. Everybody wants to have they would you're going to hand them out to you right now. Thank you all for coming. A tremendous honor. Thank you. By the way, Donald Trump has gutted union protections. He's gutted the National Labor Relations Board. He has basically been the single worst president to labor in general. So the very idea that you have these, you know, firefighters here are some union members who are there, you know, in some of the chiefs and some of the people who should know better. You know, I'll let I'll let you all reflect on that. I have a lot of friends who are firefighters and I know that the Trump regime ain't helping them right now on a lot of fronts. Also, the inflation and private equity takeover by the way combined. So inflation and then private equity takeover of things like fire trucks makes it very difficult for even firehouses to get new fire trucks and parts right now. Donald Trump then tells the firefighters, you should fire all of your top people if they supported Kamala and then he says her name incorrectly. Play this clip either. So I think you ought to fire your top people that supported Kamala. Can you imagine you have Trump and you have Kamala and they supported Kamala. What were they thinking? And it's a joke actually. She did absolutely nothing for you. And it's not because she was against she's incompetent. They're all incompetent. He then continues to be racist and hateful in front of the firefighters and he which what else is new for Donald Trump. He says I call Dr. Abdul El Sayed Muhammad El Sayed. But I call him Muhammad Abdul El Sayed. So Muhammad Abdul El Sayed was Dodi Fyed's father who ran Harrods who was under his dead now and they both they both obviously passed away. Dodi was with Princess Diana when she was killed. But Muhammad El Sayed has been under investigation. He's passed away. But for sex trafficking and very serious allegations of massive sex abuse and actually recently what surfaced is this interview that Trump gave in BBC in 1998. This is what Trump said about Muhammad El Sayed then who was involved in all these allegations of sex trafficking. You were with a man yesterday. Muhammad El Sayed who owns Harrods and he is a fabulous man. Trump said in a clip that was recently an earth by the BBC. It was in 1990. The Daily Mail actually unearthed but it was an interview with the BBC in 1988. So Muhammad El Sayed a great man, great person. Same thing Donald Trump said about Epstein. Great guy likes women or girls on the younger side. That's what Trump was quoted as saying with Epstein. Anyway, here's what he says about Dr. Abdul El Sayed play the clip. Country away from this guy like I call him Muhammad El Sayed and his name is Abdul. But I think I call him Muhammad Abdul Al Sayed and he's a Muslim brotherhood guy 100%. Then you had a fire chief give Donald Trump a helmet. And Donald Trump says I wish I could have used this in Butler referring to Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was there was a purported assassination attempt. Although the individual who died, I believe, was a retired firefighter. So this is what he's saying. I wish I had a fire helmet and Butler with all of the surrounding circumstances here play this clip. You know, as he's talking I said I could have used this in Butler. This would have been very helpful. I mean, I wish you gave it to me a little bit earlier. Thank you very much. Thank you. Appreciate it. Thank you. Then Donald Trump says and I am hereby directing Attorney General Todd Blanche to impose the death penalty on everyone who is shooting firefighters as they're going up the ladders to put out fires. Personally, I don't believe in the death penalty. Just in general, I don't believe in the death penalty. I think it would be the most heinous crime if somebody's shooting firefighters climbing up fire ladders, putting out fires. It's just a like that's what he's telling the fire department. I may have gutted labor protections. I may be actually really bad for firefighters and other union members generally. But here's what I'm going to do for you. I'm going to say if there is any time a firefighter's climbing the ladder and you're getting shot at by people, that's the death penalty. And that's Donald Trump's dystopian, fictitious bending of the reality world that he creates when in reality we should say, well, what are you actually doing for firefighters right now? Anyway, here play this clip. Lisa Officer and I'm going to include, and nobody ever does this. I'm going to include because of what I told you with going up the ladders, a firefighter, can you do that, Todd? Anybody that murders a firefighter going up a ladder and they shoot him and they go away for three months or some death penalty, Todd. Okay, if we can do that, all right? That's a big deal. You'll see shootings will stop very quickly. The shooting will no longer stop. They'll call that an ancient crime. It never happens. I've been using one skin and what I really like is that this isn't just another skincare brand of making big promises. My favorites are their OS one face moisturizer and their OS one eye. After you purchase, they'll ask where you heard about them. Please support our show and tell them we send you. And this is how this whole event started, as Rupert says, every moment Trump is out in public, it just feels like an SNL cold open. And so I can't watch like SNL or any shows that even try to do parodies of like Trump. The stakes to me are just too serious. And his behavior's just too demented that I just, I don't find people even mimicking it to be funny anymore, like on comedy shows like that. It's just, anyway, but this is how it started where he just like listens to the music and he's doing weird motions and he waits till the whole song's over. It's so strange. Play this clip. He then attacks James Tolerico and calls him the Texas con man. And he claims that Tolerico lied about the flu. And so Trump, after all of this deranged right wing conspiracy stuff about Tolerico has been debunked after Tolerico, appeared at that CNN town hall, Jubilee debate where actually hardcore Republicans were able to grill Tolerico while he was live on stage and he answered the questions brilliantly while Ken Paxton is too scared to even debate Tolerico. This is what Trump is doing attacking Tolerico. Play this clip. - And man, the guy in Texas is a con man. Total con man guy gets lost for 12, 14 days. He says that he's got the flu. I never heard of a flu that lasted that long, but maybe he had a different kind of flu that we don't know about. But he's another one. He said bad things. Talk badly about Jesus. Talk badly about many things. Now he says, oh, well, I was only kidding or something. - Then Donald Trump says that nobody wants to go fishing anymore in the United States or in other countries because they're afraid the Trump regime military is going to blow up all of the fishing boats, play this clip. - Bad thing about it is nobody wants to go boating anymore. It's killed the fishing industry. Nobody wants to get into a fishing. Let's go fishing, darling. No, thank you just in case. Just in case somebody, one of you guys has a happy trigger. Let's get a boat. There's a boat out there that's going fishing. They don't want to go fishing anymore. I don't blame them actually. - Then Donald Trump's like, you know, when I said I was having serious problems, the media's going to misconstrued it. I'm not. I was just saying that to joke. That was just me being funny. I'm being funny while the whole world is at war. While North Korea is launching a nuclear capable ballistic missile test. While Russia's escalating in Ukraine, Ukraine's responding striking diesel refineries. While Donald Trump's making up fake diesel deals or announcing diesel deals are claiming that he's done fake cease-fires with Russia and Ukraine. While more tankers are being hit in the strait of horror moves. While war is exploding all over the Middle East. Donald Trump's joke, these are all just jokes, right? - Todd's going to have to try and defend me because they're going to say, he said he's got some serious problems. What are they with? I actually don't know. I was just having fun to the media. They're wonderful people. And then Donald Trump says, actually, we did way more than we even promised. These are promises made, promises kept. Things are great and we brought in $22 trillion. He says, play this clip. - He said, you know, this is the only guy that it's promises made, promises kept. But he did more things than he promised. I think we did. We did much more than we promised. Including the fact that we have $22, now it's $22 trillion. It's $21, now it's $22. And then he finishes up by talking about how the ballroom and the this and look what I did with the tiles and he talks like he's an interior designer and you're playing this clip. - We had moles made of the right side. We put it on the left side. It's all perfect now. So we re-skinned. Basically it's a re-skinning. And that building is good to go for another hundred years. That was at least actually. But even this, you see the top sections where it was so bad, I didn't even like standing under it. The thing was all cracked and broken all over the place. We put the sign up, solid breasts, half inch thick. As opposed to lemonade, give us see these lemonade. They don't want to spend the money on the breasts. - Anyway, there you have it.
