I am here at Gate 6 in Washington, D.C., where Donald Trump's Freedom 250 race is about to start, turning the nation's capital into his own personal racetrack. This is where the Smithsonian is. This block is all closed for the race cars. I'm going to see if I can get us on the racetrack. You can see around, there's nearly 1,800 concrete barriers, more than 220 manhole covers. The covers of the sewer had to be welded down to the racetrack, to the streets. That, in addition to the streets being repaved, which we also saw, and Reagan National Airport will actually be scheduled to stop flights today for three hours during the race. So that's tens of millions of dollars, massive inconvenience for about thousands of people. Also, Indy cars. Can fly down Pennsylvania Avenue at 200 miles per hour down this track. Americans are getting crushed by the cost of groceries, housing, and health care. This is what Donald Trump wants everyone focused on, a giant spectacle in the middle of Washington, D.C. Maybe somebody should remind Trump that Americans need affordable lives a hell of a lot more than they need Donald Trump's racetrack. Absolutely. But I'm going to tell you this. Republicans are not getting the message. Because they're talking about how they want to do this again next year.
