Trump’s Big Midterm Event Turns Into a Growing Disaster

PrizePix is expanding nationwide with daily deals and a special $150 instant reward for users who win their first $5 lineup via code SPOTIFY, making it a major platform for football season engagement. Mint Mobile promotes its $15/month unlimited wireless plan, highlighting affordability and accessibility, though it requires upfront payments. Meanwhile, the planned Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas is being called a political disaster, with numerous MAGA congressional members citing family, work, or district responsibilities to avoid attendance. Critics argue the event is ill-timed, conflicting with NFL kickoff and lacking public appeal, especially amid a historic Democratic polling advantage. The convention’s scheduling overlaps with the start of the NFL season, further undermining its draw. Key figures like Congresswoman Salazar and Republican leaders have publicly cited personal and political commitments, with some accusing Donald Trump of promoting authoritarianism and endless wars. Critics also highlight damaging economic impacts, such as soaring fuel and food prices, which affect rural farmers and households. The event is increasingly seen as a symbol of political disconnect and disunity. A new book titled "WTF America" is set to launch in October, with pre-orders available now.

The so-called Republican Midterm Convention, which is set to take place on September 9th and September 10th, is becoming an utter disaster. This was Donald Trump's idea. Let's do a midterm convention. Well, with Donald Trump having record, low unpopularity, with the MAGA Republicans losing by the biggest spread in the history of polling at this time before a midterms across multiple polls in a generic ballot against Democrats, MAGA Republicans don't want to be anywhere near Donald Trump, especially MAGA Republicans in competitive congressional districts. So now all of these MAGA Republican Congress members, one by one, are coming up with excuses. So now all of these MAGA Republican Congress members, why they can't attend the midterm convention in Dallas, Texas. You've got MAGA Republican Congress member Juan Sisco Mani from Arizona. I've got a debate that I just happened to schedule on the same day. I'm not going to be able to attend there. We're trying to work it out, but I just don't think I'll be able to make it, Donald. What is your debate both nights? Yeah, what an excuse. Then you have MAGA Republican Congress member French Hill of Arkansas. I've got conflicting work stuff, he says. I have a place I have to be that day, and I just won't be able to make it to Dallas, Texas. You've got Congresswoman Marionette Miller-Meeks from Iowa. She said, you know, I have a district that I have to be in and take care of, so I'm just going to be in my district. I got a lot of work there. Also, there are numerous other Republicans who are undecided at this point who likely won't be attending. MAGA Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, who's currently losing right now to her Democratic opponent. You have MAGA Republican Rob Bresnahan. I'm not sure. I haven't made plans one way or another. I'm just going to have to see. Anna Paulina Luna said, you know, I'm just going to have to be with my kids. And look, I think obviously being with your kids is in it. Let me be very clear. I'm with my kids now, with my kid right now. I think it's a very important thing, but that hasn't really stopped these MAGA Republicans from doing that. I think it's a very important thing, but that hasn't really stopped these MAGA Republicans from being other places. So it's interesting that they're saying, it's my kids. That's why. That's what's the real issue right here. You've got MAGA Republican Congressmember John McGuire. We're still trying to figure this all out. We're just, we're working hard. We don't really have the answers yet. MAGA Republican Congressmember Eli Crane from Arizona. He doesn't know. I got a bunch of different things. Not really sure yet. We're going to have to figure this out. I mean, we're in the middle of campaign season, so we'll see. MAGA Republican Congressmember John McGuire. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not I don't know yet. It sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun there in Dallas, but we're going to have to really figure this out. I want to give a hat tip to Joe Pericone over at the Bulwark for getting the scoop by asking all of those members whether or not they were going to attend. And by the way, this follows MAGA Mike Johnson's press conference yesterday in the Capitol building where he said, you know, there's a lot of excitement around this. I know a lot of our members are going to be busy, but I think there'll still be decent attendance. I think it'll be okay. Watch what MAGA Mike Johnson said yesterday. Here, play this clip. Some of them need to be in their district on those two days of September 9th and 10th. It's critical time right before early voting begins nationwide. So people make individual decisions based upon what's best for their district and all that. But we'll have at least an appearance by most of our members, I think, will be there. It's going to be a good time. It's a great event. It's never happened before. It was the president's idea, which is why he's getting credit for it and it's rightfully so. I think it's going to be an extraordinary opportunity for us to get a couple of nights on national television to talk about our extraordinary record of achievement, to push back against the false narrative that, you know, a lot of people in the media have advanced about this Congress. We'll talk about what has actually been done, the facts. Facts are stubborn things, as John Adams said. And then we'll grade our stars across the state and the president. We'll talk to American people and talk to them about the stakes of this and what would happen if these crazy communist Democrats took over the House of Representatives. And then notably when Manu Raju then tried to ask MAGA Mike Johnson a basic question like, hey, MAGA Mike, six months ago, you predicted that this war in Iran was going to be over very quickly. And it's six months later. Should we hold you and your fellow Republican Congress members accountable for your bad predictions? And telling the American people that this war was going to end in a few weeks and now we're six months into it. And MAGA Mike Johnson is like, that's the stupidest question ever. Why would I be responsible for any of this? I don't know, MAGA Mike. You may want to look at Article 1 of the Constitution about who has the power to declare wars. You may want to also know the power of Congress to rein in and block what Donald Trump is doing, but you've aided and abetted it every step of the way. I think one of the reasons that the American people are going to issue the most historic rebuke in probably midterm history against MAGA Republicans right now is because you have all so capitulated and kissed the gangster ring and forced the United States now into this never-ending war, into all of these never-ending wars. You've destroyed our economy and you're out there, you know, trying to, you know, boogeyman communism and, oh, the communists are going to get you when you all have been paved like the worst communists in history, right now creating state-run oil companies that are taking over Venezuela, Trump oil companies, and you're taking equity stakes in companies, you're manipulating the market with your right-wing oligarch. So run away, MAGA Mike. Run away. Hide, MAGA Mike. I used to think jeans were just supposed to be a little uncomfortable. You wear them all day, you're adjusting them, the waistband digs in, and you just kind of accept it. Then I tried the perfect jean and these things actually move with you. They have that classic denim look, but they're stretchy and comfortable enough that you're not thinking about your jeans all day. And at $79.99, they're a great value when compared to some of the crazy prices you see for denim. They've got a huge range of sizes, fits, and washes. So you could actually find a pair that fits your body instead of trying to make your body fit the jeans. I absolutely love these things. I got so used to, like, having a pair of jeans that fit the waist, okay, but were too long or too short. This solves all of that. Scott McFarlane from the Midas Touch Network was commenting on how Congresswoman Salazar also said, I'm not really sure. I'm going to be able to attend. You know, I have family commitments. School is about to start September 9th and September 10th. Should also be noted, and Scott McFarland points this out as well, this midterm convention event is going to be taking place the same day as the first NFL games. And he's like, who's going to want to watch the midterm convention when you have the first NFL games of the season? And this event is just turning out to be an absolute disaster. Also, they're making Republican Congress members pay $25,000 each to show up at this event. Watch what Scott McFarland from the Midas Touch Network had to say. And he was also responding to Congresswoman Salazar saying she's too busy to attend. I was so struck by what Congresswoman Salazar told Manu. I almost wanted to cheer her on. She said, point blank, I can't be in two places at one time. How many parents at this table? How many spouses at this table? Especially this time of year. After Labor Day, they're going to have a convention in Dallas. You know how bonkers this idea is? First of all, the vice president speaks Wednesday against the debut of the NFL football season. The president speaks Thursday against game two of the NFL football season. Who is going to be watching that? Perhaps a very narrow subset of Americans, perhaps. Maybe they'll defy expectations and beat the football game. Also, this arena in Dallas hosts 20,000 people. They're going to get 20,000 people to fill that arena? That could be a heavy lift. They're still trying to push out tickets. And the RNC says it's going to be a Trumpapalooza. I'm not sure if that moves tickets or not. I hope it is. It is a Trumpapalooza. It's interesting. You know, Congresswoman Salazar was all about the Dignity Act. And Donald Trump is going to respect immigrants. That's what she was selling her congressional district in southern Florida, which has a huge population of Venezuelans and Cubans and other people from South America. Central America, Caribbean nearby areas. She said Donald Trump's going to protect the immigrant population. That's what he's going to do. And he's going to make sure there's a pathway to citizenship to the people who've worked here for a long period of time. And oh, Donald Trump's also going to be very hard on Delcy Rodriguez. He's going to take a firm stance against Delcy. I mean, you have Congresswoman Salazar literally through her district and her constituents under the bus. And look, Donald Trump's doing a deal with Delcy. This ain't going to lead to a democratic transition. Donald Trump likes authoritarians. Just get that through your head, Salazar. Donald Trump is like Hugo Chavez. Donald Trump is a chavista in his own mind. Donald Trump is an authoritarian communist. I covered Latin America for 35 years. I have never seen that the United States, which is the liberating force in the Western Hemisphere, since Noriega in Panama, has forced. The bad guys to stay, stabilize, recover, and transition. But wait, wait, wait. So I understand that we had to live with Delcy. And I like the fact that the oil fields are going to be benefiting the United States. I don't have any problems with that. What I don't like is that those contracts are being signed with someone who is going to bite our hand, meaning Delcy. So I've been telling President Trump through the news media that you've got to be very careful, because you cannot trust Delcy, who is Alibaba and the 40 Thieves. She's the 39th. Take a look at this poll right here. The Democrat, Gray, beating Annapolina Luna, one of the reasons why she doesn't want to show up. As there's currently the biggest Democratic advantage in Gallup poll history with the leaners, that were the biggest since 2008 and even bigger than 2008 right now. What else are we seeing? MAGA Republican influencer, Nick Sorter. You don't get more of like a MAGA sycophantic propagandist than Nick Sorter. I mean, like this guy all day just churns out the MAGA propaganda stuff. And here's what he said yesterday. Unless we wrap this shit up in the Middle East ASAP, the midterms are going to be very, very ugly. Be mad at me all you want, but I'm not going to lie to you. All of those throwing tantrums in the comment section here, would be shocked to see who has liked this post. I will never reveal likes or DMs, but it's important to note a lot of influential and powerful folks share this sentiment, but can't go public with it. Just saying. I mean, Donald Trump loves never-ending wars. Donald Trump is what now threatening to once again destroy the Iranian civilization. Last night, Donald Trump destroyed a wedding, killing five or six people, killing kids. Sixty-eight people were injured at a wedding in Syrac. The Trump regime just killed them. I mean, we have gotten all the data and confirmation that this was, again, U.S. military weapons. And again, immediately, Trump and Netanyahu tried to claim, "Oh, it was Iran striking its own people." No, it's the war criminals who killed the little girls in Le Maire, who killed the little girls in Manab. It's the predatorial war criminal regime, the Trump regime, sickening indeed. I'll show you this. You've got MAGA Republicans. You've got Republican Congressmember Jason Smith, one of the leaders in the Republican Party. He's like number three in the House of Representatives. Like him, it's Lisa McClain, it's Tom Emmer, and it's MAGA Mike Johnson. Jason Smith represents an area in Missouri. And here he is saying how bad the economy is, how expensive everything is. Yeah, it's because of you, bud. You're trying to like disassemble and disassociate as though this somehow happened outside. Dude, this is you and Trump. Why do you think the price of diesel is at a record high? Why do you think the price of gas is at a record high? It's about to hit $100 a barrel right now when we see the nationwide averages for gas and diesel. It's the worst. Food, fuel, and fertilizer. Those are the things that constantly kept coming up and concerns with my constituents. I represent Southeast Missouri. It's one of the poorest congressional districts in the nation. And people, people are struggling with the increased cost in fuel and fertilizer and food. Yeah, it must be hitting farmers hard right now. I mean, what are some of the major challenges for farmers in your state and really across the country? Well, if you just think about it, most farm machinery is diesel. And when you look at the price of diesel, it averages $1 to $1.50 more a gallon than just regular gasoline. So this really hits their bottom line. And they use a lot more diesel just to harvest, to plant throughout all their operations. And whenever you're looking at commodity prices have been struggling, they haven't been the place where that they need to be. The input costs have been rising. It affects the bottom line for farmers. It puts them definitely in the red. And then finally, you know, you have Missouri farmers reflecting what we hear over here. Play this clip. This was from the Tucker show. Let's play it. We have to put America first. Farmers and ranchers, 63 farmers a day are going out of business while people can't afford their groceries. There is a serious problem in rural America. Farmers and ranchers are in crisis. Well, there you have it. Enjoy your convention. It's going to be a sight to behold. Perhaps Donald Trump's worst event yet. Can't wait. Can't wait to report on that one. Hat tip to Scott. Scott McFarland as well. And hat tip to Joe Petricone over at Bulwark. Breaking news right now. My brothers and I wrote a book. It's called WTF America. And well, doesn't that just say it all? It comes out officially this October. But you can preorder your copy today. Just scan the QR code or click the link in the description below. I'll see you next time.
