This episode of the Midas Touch podcast blends personal health tools with political commentary, beginning with a positive review of WHOOP, a screenless wearable that offers clear, actionable health data to help users improve their daily routines. The host then transitions into a sharp critique of Donald Trump’s recent speech in Ohio, describing it as incoherent, misleading, and filled with absurd claims—such as promoting “super intelligence centers” instead of data centers and emphasizing his love of aspirin. The analysis extends to broader political and economic issues, including rising energy prices, inflation, and the failure of Trump’s economic policies to stabilize markets. The host also highlights political corruption, citing examples like former lawmaker Mike Rogers who profited from corporate advisory roles after leaving office. Democratic candidates are presented as advocates for transparency, accountability, and reform. The episode concludes with a call to action, promoting the book *WTF America*, which explores the roots of current political dysfunction and the path toward democratic renewal. Through a blend of personal wellness, financial tools, and political critique, the host urges audiences to engage critically and collectively with the challenges facing democracy.
This episode of the Midas Touch podcast is brought to you by WHOOP, the wearable health and fitness
coach that gives you personalized insights into your sleep, recovery, strain, stress,
and overall health. Listen, I've tried a bunch of wearables and I found a lot of them to be
so overwhelming. I don't need another screen constantly tapping me, pinging me, and sending
me notifications. But that's what I love about WHOOP. The WHOOP 5.0 wearable is screenless,
so it just sits quietly on my wrist collecting data. Whenever I want, I can open the companion
app and get this incredibly detailed picture of what's happening with my body and actually
use that information to make proactive decisions. And with a one-year-old, sleep has become a bit
of a luxury. WHOOP helps me pinpoint the things that are actually affecting me. Did that 4 p.m.
cup of coffee hurt my sleep? Did that run on the treadmill bring down my stress? How well am I
actually recovering? WHOOP gives me a full picture of my health without overloading me, and it's
helped me build a healthier routine around what my body is actually telling me. To learn more,

that Dayton, Ohio high school where he was talking about aspirin and talking about his love of data
centers? I've never seen anything like it. The depths of the oddity, and that's
saying a lot for Donald Trump. Anyway, he left Dayton, Ohio. He arrived back in Washington,
D.C., slumped over, struggling to walk around. 11, 15 p.m., you can see him here now,
arriving back in the office. But I just want to reflect on a moment, just like what went down
at that Dayton high school gym, right? He did this event at a high school gym. I know there
are different camera angles, so sometimes it looks like there's more people there or it sounds louder
than it really is.
Can I just show you from an angle of what it really looked like at this low-energy event as
he talks about the story of the snake, and the snake, he let him in, and he said to the woman,
how you let the snake in. Just listen to this. Here, play this clip.
Now, Donald Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy and this whole MAGA Republican thing in Ohio just getting
utterly mocked and trolled right now. Like, did you see this one right here as Vivek picks up
clown Donald Trump? Because what really went down was when Donald Trump was
the president, and when Vivek picked up the child, and the child was too heavy for Vivek. I mean,
this whole MAGA Republican clown show right here, as we approach the midterms themselves, I mean,
it's absolutely a sight to behold. Watch Vivek trying to behold this child, and he can't hold
him. So, no wonder we're seeing polling data like this. The latest New
Democrats leading by seven points in Alaska, and the Senate race there, six points in Texas,
three in Ohio. Kansas is tied. Republicans up one in Iowa, but it's pretty much a dead heat.
I think Josh Turek is actually going to pull that ahead. I mean, just look at the messaging
from these MAGA Republicans. I mean, you have this Lorraine resident, Brenda White,
big data center proponent, major supporter, next to MAGA Republican,
Senator John Huston, holding up a sign, data center. We love data centers. I mean,
the Democratic candidate, former Senator Sherrod Brown, is like, the main thing he's talking about
in his campaign is what aligns with what Americans are saying, which is like, no data centers in our
backyard. Like, we stop it. And then the Trump regime's like, well, we're going to call it SI.
They're not data centers. They're super intelligence centers. What in the hell? By the way,
did you see when John Huston,
the MAGA Republican senator from Ohio, started to speak and Donald Trump fell asleep standing up?
Watch what happens here. Play this clip.
Come to fruition if we didn't have a made in America, America first policy to go along with
it. And so now we're- Then Donald Trump told the crowd in Ohio. Again, that's that small high
school. You saw what it looked like in the previous video, right? Just to be clear what
we're looking at. I'm not trying to like exaggerate. You saw that angle, what it looked like. But Donald
Trump said, I'm not trying to like exaggerate. I'm not trying to
like we need data centers everywhere. And anyone who doesn't like data centers is probably hired
by China. And it's a psyop. Historic action to ensure that big tech
data centers benefit local communities. We want them. Look, there's so much money to be made for
Ohio. You can't just turn them off. They'll go to China. China is, you know, a lot of people think
it's sort of a PR attack by China. Could be. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I'm not such a believer
in that, but it probably is a little truth to it. But they don't want to see us. We're beating China.
Then he spent the rest of his time bragging about how he loves aspirin. He loves to take aspirin.
That's what he wanted the people of Ohio to know. That's his closing message to the voters of Ohio.
He loves aspirin. And just yesterday, bear. I love bear aspirin. I take an
aspirin a day. I don't know if it works, but psychologically.
I need it. It thins the hell out of your blood, I guess. I don't know if it works or not,
but I've been doing it for a long time. And here I am making speeches.
Oh, and by the way, then this happened at the event at the high school gym in Ohio
as someone was calling Donald Trump out. Let's play it.
Good morning, Mr. President. Why don't you start this again?
Liar! You're a liar!
Liar!
Why don't you tell people the truth? You rapist! Rapist! He raped E.G. Carroll!
Oh, and then this. You could see the crowd clearly was not feeling it.
You gotta beat her. Well, you gotta beat her. You got your central casting. You're gonna do it.
What a great reputation. You have good luck. And Eric,
Roy, from the 1st District, representatives, Warren, Davidson, Warren.
Did we do business, all right? Did we do that, folks? Number one, Ohio.
But all we did could not have come to fruition if we didn't have a made-in-America,
America First policy to go along with it. And so now we're seeing auto manufacturers
move some of their jobs back from overseas to Ohio. We saw pharmaceutical companies moving
their jobs from overseas back to Ohio. We see aviation companies moving their jobs back to
Ohio. You know what happened in Ohio this week, Mr. President? We had the lowest unemployment
rate in the history of Ohio. And these folks know my family had to leave Ohio because there
wasn't any place to go to work when I was growing up. But I stayed. I fought for the state. And I'll
just say this. I never wanted Ohio to be a place where your children and grandchildren could.
We're gonna take care of you. The Democrats took away their pension 17 years ago when Barack Hussein Obama betrayed them. He
betrayed you. These people got terrible. They worked their whole lives. They got treated. Many
of them have passed away, but they got treated so badly. But I'm working with John and Bernie
and Vivek and everybody. We're gonna get Delphi taken care of. We're gonna get your benefits back.
Right. Let's take a look at prices since the start of the year. European natural gas up 165%,
heating oil up 112%, gasoline up 105%.
Brent crude up 68%. U.S. crude up 58%. Coal up 38%. Midwest gasoline inventory has fallen to
its lowest levels in history. The price of diesel continues to hit record highs. Even notwithstanding
the fact that the Trump regime pressured Europe to release 100 million barrels from its strategic
petroleum reserve and the Trump regime released 40 million barrels from the U.S. strategic
petroleum reserve. It really hasn't even made a dent in the surging price of diesel.
And gas right now. And so the Trump regime is dealing with that. But look, they've got their
propaganda media networks. With all of this going on, I just want to show you what this Trump
propaganda network, RSPN, looks like. This is what they were saying at the event that we all watched,
which was like objectively the most psychotic event ever. And I'll just show you as they're
like Western civilization was about to die. And Donald Trump saved Western civilization. These
people are these people.
Are absolute freaking lunatics. Like these are psycho people. He's the leader of the free world. Western civilization was about to die.
out to fall, if Kamala Harris or Joe Biden got back or if Hillary Clinton got into office,
we would have lost our country. The borders would have been wide open.
Illegal immigrants would have been pouring in. Inflation would have skyrocketed. Taxes.
Everything would have become so unaffordable that the everyday American would have looked
around and said, this isn't the country I grew up in. I don't know how else to describe them. I'm
sorry. I watch that and I'm like, what the hell are we talking about? And then I'll show you over
here as they just continue the kind of just ridiculous propaganda. And President Trump's a businessman and he knows if we have control of the House and Senate,
we can pass legislation to make America profitable. And that's the whole point.
To get the $5,000 check is to prove to you, prove to Americans that we are a profitable country.
We can generate revenue in this country.
Tariffs are generating revenue and it's not a bribe. It's not just random handing out free
stuff. Now, in the real world, Iran continues to strike tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
Another tanker hit, I count, about eight to 10 tankers in the Strait of Hormuz struck by the IRGC.
In the past three to four days, Iran is escalating. I'm going to, well, because the U.S. has
threatened, we're going to obliterate Iran and Iran sees what's happening. I'll do a video on it
this morning. But the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier has retreated from the blockade. It's in
Phuket right now in Thailand. And so the George H.W. Bush and there's another Navy ship with it as
well that's in Phuket. So that's left one aircraft carrier in the Strait of Hormuz. The impenetrable
blockade is one aircraft carrier. The USS Theodore Roosevelt is heading here from San Diego along
with an amphibious.
Assault group is coming here as well, but that's not going to get here until mid-November. I'll do
a whole other video on that later about the U.S. not having munitions. I mean, we know we don't
have the interceptors. We don't have the Patriots. Now we're down to one aircraft carrier in the
region. The Trump regime not only engaging in malicious, despicable war crimes, they're also
incompetent and they also are unable to execute a plan. It's a plan that's horrific and should
never have taken place in the first place. And they've mangled the catastrophic plan.
Keep looking at what's happening in the region as well. On Serala, the Houthis, they've advanced
on Taiz City. They're making a major offensive. We've seen Saudi Arabia strike Sanaa, the capital
of the Houthis. The Houthis were able to strike in Saudi Arabia, Yanbu, the west coast port city
over there. Strike Riyadh. It's interesting. The Saudi defense ministry is like, oh, everything's
good. No, no, no issues here. No, no, no problems at all. Everything's amazing. Which reminds me,
of what Treasury Secretary Besson told Axios yesterday, told Mike Allen. When Mike Allen
asked him a good question, he said, so, you know, he said, look, you said, Treasury Secretary Besson,
that you're the house and the house wins and you will get the U.S. bond market under control. But
treasury yields have basically been on a vertical up since you said that you have not gotten control
of the treasury yields. I mean, the third year is approaching six percent. Heck, the 10 year
hit six percent. I mean, the way things are going. Mortgage rates, 30 year fix, seven and a half
percent or around there. Interest rates continuing to go up as well. So watch what Besson says. I
mean, this guy is literally and again, I forgot who said this, but I agree with it. He's like a
will. He's like Will Ferrell. It's like watching Ron Burgundy. And Ron Burgundy is much smarter
than this. But I'm like, what are you even talking about here? Play this clip. Last month, you told
the markets, I am the house now. They bet against you. They're
like, will Ferrell. Do you regret saying I'm the house now? No, because look, the house doesn't win
every hand. The house plays the percentages. And, you know, like, look, that I maybe they
heard some fragile egos on Wall Street that I always had respect for the market. And, you know,
I always tried to look and think, like, what's the move after the move that, you know, if you
have an ego, you lose a lot of money. But the market swept back. No, it didn't.
It didn't slip back. The rates went up, but oil went up. That, you know, I could say, OK, yes,
yesterday we had the, you know, we had the first full allocation since we have expanded our
treasury buybacks and rates collapse. You know, there's nothing causal there. It was coincident.
The Financial Times, probably your favorite paper, said Besant fails to break fever in U.S.
bond market. What did you learn from that? Well, I learned that the Financial Times is
anti-American.
Anti-business. And they have a fever. They're constantly trying to create a problem
for the U.S. But let's leave that disgraced publication in London aside.
Now, as Donald Trump heads back, lethargic, rotting, deteriorating, decaying,
I mean, clearly, rapidly, cognitively deteriorating before our eyes.
Just showing you some of these new young Democrats. Democratic Senator Ossoff, many people put him
as a future presidential contender. He's got the Senate race, of course, where he's surging ahead.
He's been ahead for a while. Listen to what he had to say. Play this clip.
And I don't know if you saw this now, the money that they took from you when they doubled your
health insurance premiums, the money that they took from you when they slashed Medicaid and
defunded hospitals and nursing homes to give yet another tax break to their corporate donors and
the wealthiest people in the country.
They're taking that money to buy corrupt taxpayer funded political ads on national television
to try to promote the failed and broken president who is now staring at this midterm election,
recognizing that accountability for his corruption and misdeeds is coming.
Or how about Democratic candidate Dr. El-Sayed? Here's what he had to say when in his latest
campaigning in Michigan. Let's play it.
How do we do it? It starts with getting money out of politics. And it also, it also means that we've
got to hold politicians who do double duty accountable. I just want to talk about the
revolving door. Y'all know what the revolving door is? Mike Rogers knows the revolving door
because, because he was, he was chair of intelligence, which is the closest he's
ever come to the word intelligence. He was a chair of intelligence in the house.
And then he moved to Florida after he retired, advising the very same
corporations that he was regulating just a year before. You know how much money he made?
$14 million, $14 million. He bought a mansion in two yachts. I don't know. Yeah. Who needs,
Mike had a yacht and then Rogers had a yacht. All right. It wasn't enough to have one yacht
for Mike Rogers. He had a, Mike had to have a yacht and Rogers had to have a yacht. All right.
And, and the reality of it is this,
I'm gonna come right back. So what does he do about the very same corporations? And,
and these, some of these corporations did some shady stuff, man. One of these corporations
called Telefonica, it was helping Nicholas Maduro of Venezuela spy on his own people.
Mike Rogers took a contract with a corporation that allegedly rewarded him for every piece of
nuclear material he sold in Saudi Arabia. All right.
Yeah.
I'm saying that's corruption. That's how the system works. So we need public servants who
aren't trying to walk through the revolving door twice, three times. We need public servants who
are committed to the service of the public who aren't trying to make a buck off of their time
in public service. And it starts with getting money out of politics.
Or how about Senator Slotkin, uh, Senator from Michigan,
um, who obviously wants Dr. Abdul El-Sayed to be her colleague over there. Here's what she had to
say. Let's play. I just want to say very quickly that Donald Trump is the most successful corrupt
leader in the history of the world. And you know, many, many years ago, I served in Iraq
and Saddam Hussein would like spit out his tea at the amount of money that Donald Trump has stolen
from his own people. And the reason why we focus so hard on flipping the house and flipping the
government is because then we can do three things. Number one, actually pass laws and legislation
that help people put more money in their pockets, help them raise their kids in a way that they feel
proud of. Number two, it allows us to hold people accountable who have stolen taxpayer dollars.
And then number three, the import, another important one, it's not as sexy,
but it allows us to frankly, Trump proof the government so that no other person,
can ever do what this president has done in office.
