Trump Melts Down After GOP Takes Him Out

The transcript critiques the Republican Party’s strategy and rhetoric, highlighting how attacks on progressive candidates like Abdul El-Sayed are driven by racial and religious prejudice rather than policy. False claims linking him to the Muslim Brotherhood and immigration are used to delegitimize him, revealing a broader pattern of baseless, inflammatory attacks. In contrast, voter data shows strong turnout among marginalized groups, especially Black, Latino, and Asian voters, signaling a political realignment against extremism. The growing influence of wealthy donors like Elon Musk in Republican campaigns underscores concerns about corporate control and corruption. The discussion emphasizes that voters are increasingly demanding candidates who prioritize economic fairness, transparency, and anti-corruption over ideological dogma. While internal Democratic infighting occurs, the consensus is that unity and focus on defeating extremism are more urgent than partisan bickering. The failure of GOP leaders to uphold ethical standards—such as Vivek Ramaswamy’s offensive ad—exposes the movement’s moral decay. Ultimately, the narrative points to a democratic shift where voters are choosing candidates who represent integrity, accountability, and a commitment to inclusive, real solutions over divisive, racially charged rhetoric.

I think they need to have him come out on stage with the song, Get Your Freak On. Yeah, there you go. I think he just needs to completely embrace it. It's hilarious to me that we can just look at any clip of Donald Trump in the last 24 hours and you have him like, I love meat. And he's kind of like. What was he doing? I don't know. That was. Has he ever eaten meat before? Appeared so. It appeared that he had a familiar. Maybe down at the Port Authority. Approach to that. But it's crazy that they're calling him a freak. Elon Musk is melting down on Twitter right now about James Tallarico hates Texas. These real juvenile attacks. Kidnapping your kids and cutting off their dicks. That's what he's saying right now. Yeah. I saw that right as I walked in. It's utterly insane. Can you believe their closing message? Also, if you were a billionaire, trillionaire, would you. Would you spend $200 million on Ken Paxton? No. No. Well, I mean, I think if you're Elon Musk and you believe that if Democrats take over, they're going to cut your government contracts and arrest you for the many crimes you've committed, like, yeah, I probably would get in bed with Ken Paxton. But I mean, I posted this the other day and it went mega viral. Elon Musk in the last two years has spent more money on American politics than George Soros has in his entire life, which is insane. It's nearing a billion dollars and it's all for the Republicans right now. And I don't think it's a controversial take. One billionaire should not own one entire political party. So he can spend it in Texas. He can spend it anywhere else that he wants. I think the American people know. And Tallarico has a really great ad that he's running. I don't know if you have it pulled up or anything. That literally is just tying all the attack ads to Elon Musk. And the ad is basically like, anytime you see an attack against me, know what's being paid for by Elon Musk. You need to tell them that Texas is not for sale. And that's it. And it immediately blunts whatever they say. And because of that, Tallarico's numbers don't go down. They've spent $400 million. The numbers are the same. Tallarico's about 50-51. Is this going to be like the, reckoning that we can do as people to Citizens United, that if there is a candidate and they are taking tens of millions of dollars from an oligarch, that immediately they are labeled as a prostitute that is willing to whore themselves out for special interests immediately? Is this kind of the people standing up to Citizens United? I feel like it is. I hope so. I mean, you know, look, James Tallarico has more small dollar individual contributions than the Republicans have in the entirety of the United States. James Tallarico, I mean, look, James Tallarico, I mean, look, James Tallarico has more small dollar individual contributions than the Republicans have in the entirety of their platform, WinRED. We have right here. Yeah, pop this up. A single Democratic candidate, James Tallarico in Texas, has had roughly the same number of donors on ActBlue this cycle as all Republican candidates and committees combined had on WinRED. Yep. That's nuts. It's absolutely nuts. And by the way, Republicans have spent the better part of the last two years trying to destroy ActBlue. And they've had the DOJ weaponized it and try to shut them down. They claim that they're funding terrorism and stuff like that. Things like the Muslim Brotherhood. They've been trying to connect them to stuff like that. So it's gross. And the reason is, they don't want us to be able to fund our campaigns from low dollar grassroots contributors. And don't get me wrong. I think the way Democrats fundraise is gross on many different levels and people are frustrated with it. But we fund our campaigns through small dollar donors. Tallarico has been proven to do that. Republicans are funding it through Elon Musk. Ken Paxton is the worst fundraiser I've ever seen. So I think to your point about whether or not this is a reckoning for Citizens United, that depends on what comes next. Are Democrats going to be prepared when we win the House and hopefully the Senate, when we take back the White House in a couple years? Are we going to actually do something about it? Or are we just going to talk the talk? Because I think if we let people down again, the next version of the Republican Party that will regroup, the GOP will regroup, the MAGA movement will regroup after Trump is gone. I don't know what it'll turn into. I don't know if it'll be better or worse, but they'll regroup and they'll be awful. And they're certainly not going to fix these problems. So are we going to fix them? That's the real question. And I've seen that some polling that voters don't care about seniority or they don't even really care that much about experience. They want different. They want candidates that are different. And one could argue that that's why a lot of people voted for Trump. He was different. And now we're seeing this translate to the Democratic Party, where I don't think there's much of an appetite for if we win the Senate, go vote. If we win the Senate, I don't think there's any appetite at all that Chuck Schumer be the Senate majority leader. Yeah. I mean, the caucus is going to have to make their decision, but I think the bigger challenge is less about Schumer and more about these chairmanships, particularly in the House, because if they default and they just give it to the oldest member that's been waiting their entire career to get whatever budget committee or something like that, I think that's a mistake. Look at Robert Garcia now, who's the head of the oversight. Crushing it. So much better than Connolly was. May he rest in peace. But it's sort of ridiculous. We put a man with cancer who was near death. That made me so mad. Ridiculous. And I think Garcia's done an incredible job. We needed him in particular for the Epstein file stuff. I mean, it's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. Imagine if we didn't have him out there. Now we have a new Democratic star. So I think it's a balance. There's going to be some committees where it makes sense to elevate a senior member who knows what they're doing because they're is the machinations of the government. But when it's something, especially if it's investigatory right now, I would put somebody younger with real teeth into it. And I agree with what you said. I think everything's so broken right now. Did you see the clip of there was like a woman, I think she was like a hairdresser. And she was like, I don't give a shit about socialism. Like I'll take a risk on socialism right now. And I don't even think, I don't think the democratic party is socialist, but again, it, those terms don't mean anything right now. Capitalist socialist doesn't matter if you can't afford to pay your bills. Like nobody cares. Right. And it shows that these narratives that controlled focus groups and political strategists want, they want to dictate the narrative. And this woman is in Michigan. Abdul El-Sayed is a capitalist, yet he still gets a lot of attacks from within his own party. There is still some jockeying where people that are not fully throwing everything behind Abdul El-Sayed, much like they did in Zohran Mamdani. The common link between the two is they are both Muslim men, which seems to be an antidote to Islamism. And I think that's what's going on. And I think that's, I think that's, I think that's what's going on. And I think that's, I think that's what's going on. And then when I see the Muslims that run in the United States, the Muslims that I see that are in government are really liberal and progressive and stand up for the LGBTQ plus community stand up for a woman's right to choose the religious fundamentalists that I see as problematic in the United States. I can just start with Marco Rubio, who just did some bat shit, crazy state department video where he's talking about his family. And I think that's, I think that's, I think that's, I think that's about his faith, or I can venture over to Pete Hegseth. So the problem with religious fundamentalism is, are the Christian nationalists, in my opinion? Yeah. Well, I mean, like, look, we have an American Taliban. Like, let's just be super clear. Pete Hegseth, Ken Paxton, they're fake Christians, and they just want to use it to shove their really radical agenda down people's throats. And I think part of the reason you see that, you know, Muslim men and Muslim women who run for office are more progressive is because they've experienced what the opposite is like, right? They've been in an oppressive government, like, look at Ilhan Omar, like, how far she's come and now what she has to face here in the United States. From the right, it's gross. The one thing about folks not lining behind Abdul, and I'm just going to push back on this narrative, because I think that most, like 99.9% of people who are operatives doing the work out there, they're behind Abdul, Senate Majority Package Chubb Schumer, I think they spent more money on Abdul than any other candidate. Like, they're doing that. I think we can have the argument about whether or not Abdul was like the perfect best candidate for Michigan in this. We can have that after the election. In my opinion, there's a lot, there's like two, three people on the internet. It's like Neera Tanden and a few others. And by the way, there are folks, I think, on the left that are more interested in having that fight with Neera Tanden than they are about getting Abdul elected. I've been telling everybody forever, like, I didn't support Abdul in the primary, okay? I was with Mallory McMorrow. I thought she would have been a better candidate. We lost, okay? I moved on. Now I'm on right-wing media every 48 hours advocating for Abdul in this campaign, which is my job and my role in the ecosystem. I want people to spend less time on the Democratic Party infighting right now and more time on getting people to turn out to vote and defending our goddamn candidates. Here's my problem. I like how you and I push back on each other. Yeah. And it's friendly and it doesn't have to be, yeah. Here's when you said, I think Mallory McMorrow would have been a better candidate. I do. But the voters in Michigan didn't think that. Well, Mallory dropped out before that. I think it's patronizing the way political strategists are dismissive of the way people vote and say, well, we know what the better candidate is versus all of these people that went out and voted. I think I'm entitled to my opinion on what the better candidate is. have been no you're not i'm just kidding i mean my my opinion is like i don't want to go down this road because because to me it's reductive is like i believed that she would have been a better candidate and it didn't work out in the primary and there's a lot of and i could sit here and complain i could complain about rightwood polls and all that and i complain about donors i compare about aipac aipac backing haley stevens was was ridiculous and the amount of money they spent was awful um but the voters chose and to me it's like i i've said this i've been doing this for two decades i've worked for very progressive candidates i've worked for moderate candidates when the moderate candidate won and i'll be honest with you most of my career more of my moderate candidates have won than my progressive candidates the the establishment lectured the progressive left and said get behind our candidates shut up it's time to win the general election that's right and in this instance my more i think mallory's still pretty progressive my more moderate candidate loss let's say relative to abdul and i did exactly what i've been telling everybody else to do and that's what happens and when mamdani won the primary against cuomo and a lot of people didn't rally behind him i warned the establishment if you don't get behind mamdani who's the democratic candidate for mayor in new york city you send a message and create a permission structure for others to do that and i've been critical of people like hassan piker for not fully getting behind kamala harris in the general election in 2024. i think that was problematic and i think it's wrong so to me it's if you're part of the democratic party tent no matter which way the primary goes left right middle whatever you get behind our goddamn candidates because it's more important we beat republicans and all the factional infighting on our different health care agendas or anything else we can fight about that we got a presidential primary coming up and like it's literally going to start in seven days okay i think people don't understand the presidential election starts at seven yeah you're right we can get back to fighting about all that later i would like to take back the united states senate please can't do that without michigan i agree and i also think that it's more than just at this stage it's more than if you're in the democratic tent i think our tent has to be if you oppose corrupt fascists yes and you don't have to call yourself a democrat seventy percent of the country if you expose corrupt fascists we have to get together then we can bicker about economic policy and so i think we're in complete agreement there that's why i don't spend all my time shitting on the dsa like dsa i think is right about some stuff they're wrong about some other stuff i like their organizing model quite a bit and i would like to borrow from it but i just like spend less time bitching on the internet and more time knocking doors that's what the dsa does they're very organized okay let's look at the texas early voting numbers and they're showing black latino and asian voters are showing up in huge huge numbers pop this up this is really great stuff to look at okay so 2022 asian or pacific islander 132 000 in right now 238 000. you have a hundred thousand more 150 000 more black voters showing up latino votes have doubled native americans a thousand more uh white voters it looks like only 200 000 more voting up we really got to work on the white vote they're the ones who are really screwing us with this fascist stuff we got to win some white the white vote is the problem but this is really really good for us i think this is really really good for us what happened to the other non-coded voters they just plummeted skyrocketed down uh yeah i don't know what's going on there but uh i uh i love this uh that hispanic numbers should scare the hell out of republicans god i hope so because they gerrymandered the out of texas and other states based on the hispanic vote in 2024 and no group of people has turned against trump in the republican party more than hispanics that and young men young men under 30 are apocalyptically angry at the republic how great is it going to be and i i don't want to start saying these things because i want everyone to go vote go vote but please but i do want uh that they they gerrymandered and they did all of these um uh ways to skirt the system and you know gutted the voting rights act and then despite doing all of those things i want i want it to just be the biggest tsunami the biggest repudiation to this uh corruption this fascism murdering u.s citizens uh uh doing away with habeas corpus i believe to be a racist movement which is maga racist movement which is maga racist movement which is maga that even they knew like don't do this this, Vivek, and he did it anyway. Yeah. I mean, you only run an ad like that because you're desperate. Like, let's just be clear about that. I mean, every campaign has some version of like a break glass in case of emergency ad that's kind of gross, but it's a Hail Mary. And I've worked on more than a few of them. I've never worked on an ad that's as disgusting as that one. I would have quit my job if I ever even heard of a concept like that. And I would have burned the whole campaign to the ground. Even Trump, I don't think has ever run an ad that disgusting. And then now, of course, he endorsed it and asked Jamie Vance and turned it. I mean, that was like a seven day story that every Republican had to speak out about an ad in a governor's race in Ohio. That's how bad it was. I think for Vivek, it's just, he's a scumbag with no morals or principles. I mean, everybody's talking about that new Nathan Fielder documentary. I don't even know if you call it a documentary. Have you seen it? I haven't seen it yet. I want to go see it this weekend. I highly recommend it. I won't spoil it for you, but it's about Elizabeth Holmes, right? The founder of Theranos. Yeah. And Vivek Ramaswamy did the exact same thing that she did. Basically like hawked a fake Alzheimer's drug, lied to investors about it, and then pulled the plug. And now the difference is he pulled the plug and made a bunch of money. Elizabeth Holmes didn't, and she's basically, or at least is broker than he is. So he's a scumbag and he takes advantage of people. And then he tries to get inside the MAGA movement because most scumbags end up inside the MAGA movement. And he thought he could ride that to become the governor of Ohio, which would give him some credibility. And now he's losing. I mean, Amy Acton is running a great campaign. I thought her response added to this was really great. And I just, you know, I have very little expectations for how Republicans will campaign, but even this was beneath what I thought was possible for them, which just shows you there's no bottom. None. None. Okay. And they're desperate. Same thing. Same thing. Tie it to the Abdul stuff, right? Why are they being so racist against Abdul? They have nothing else that they have nowhere else to go. They have no policy. None. That's it. Yes. What is the policy of the- republican party we fight for billionaires what is even that that would be more specific than anything they've said i'd respect them if they just admitted that well i think mike rogers did in a fundraising email oh that's right we have to protect elon musk to protect elon musk okay john ossoff let's hit two more of these races we have john ossoff taking a massive lead in georgia pop this up ossoff up 15 points let's fucking go i love and that is georgia and then this one is really interesting so we have darlene uh graham the sister of the late uh lindsey graham darlene hussein graham darlene is our mutual friend jack coquerello it's darlene hussein muhammad graham and she's running against annie andrews and this is south carolina you guys and it's showing this race effectively tied play the clip i'm david beasley former republican governor of south carolina you might recognize this guy sitting beside me well that's because i'm jim hodges the former democratic governor of south carolina now over the years the two of us haven't always agreed on everything but one thing we do agree on right now is this country is too divided and the political rhetoric has gotten way way out of hand that is why we're coming together today to support annie andrews annie understands that leadership isn't about making people angrier well it's about making things better that's really really good that kind of stuff i think in it reminds me in the early 2000s a guy named brad henry was running for governor in oklahoma and he was a democrat and it's very difficult to win as a democrat but he had barry switzer the coach of the university of oklahoma sooners endorsed him and they ran that commercial over and over and over again locally and then brad henry won he won governor two times because he had this kind of endorsement so i think in local politics those type of endorsements are very very effective and successful i think they do and i think the republicans once again did something incredibly stupid by elevating darlene graham like she can't find she can't find taiwan on a map i'm not sure she could find south carolina on a map and she's not ready for the job and look it's it's it's sometimes customary for hey i got to finish a term so we're going to grab like you know the wife and lindsey graham have a wife so they grab the sister um and so they really why do you think lindsey didn't have a wife i mean there's i have a few theories what do you think what do you think what's going on there like i'll leave that to you um i'll let people can go find it on harry sisson's youtube channel why that might be um but you know so but to fill out the term and to finish it and instead to then finish it and run i think was a really stupid thing for them to do and annie's a great candidate they're attacking her we were talking about this before but they're calling her tranny annie because they're so scared of this which is gross and they wouldn't be doing that again if they weren't scared now the new york times poll backs that up 48 48 it's still gonna be it's still gonna be hard to win that i think but again it's still gonna be hard to win that i think but again it's still gonna be hard to win that i think but again it's still gonna be hard to win that i think but again it's still gonna be hard to win that i think but again it's still gonna be hard to win that i think but in every race republicans have nominated like the worst possible candidate and it didn't have to be this way but jd vance is in montana trump's in mississippi they it's getting booed in montana in a point a part of the state that they won by 26 percent last night delicious right they should be booed in every room that he goes in love to his own kids should boo him they should boo him because he is making the world less safer as mixed race children did you see the the clip of some guy yelled release the epstein files at jd vance and then jd vance was like and the guy was was brown and he was like oh i said we didn't let any illegals in but i guess we let one in and i'm like that guy i mean not to be like reductive but that guy could have looked like your kids his son's name is vivek yeah like what are we doing i mean you know which i think the coolest thing about jd vance is the fact there's nothing cool about jd i know but i would say that he has a mixed race family i think that's very cool i think that's very american but you know who doesn't think that's cool jd man jd vance he's embarrassed by his own family and i wouldn't even stand up for his own wife when nick fuentes attacked his family i know you tell me they love to talk about masculinity you know they're big brown you know yeah stand up for your wife god damn it yeah take off your eyeliner and stand up for your wife and kids and by the way he's gonna flip so fast the first chance he gets to be like a defender of like you know that it's we need to return to the party of reagan you know that's coming we can't let not on our watch mike listen every listen there's nothing new or interesting about donald trump's republican party other than that they're Podcast Summary

Key Points:
