Trump-Friendly Influencer Has MAJOR Buyer’s Remorse (w/ Mario Nawfal)

A multi-part audio transcript blends promotional content, product reviews, and in-depth political analysis. It begins with a Crown Coins casino promotion highlighting real prize wins and a free bonus code for new users. It transitions to a discussion on Cupi Mayo, praised for its rich, umami flavor derived from egg yolks and its growing adoption in food culture. The central focus is a political conversation between Tim Miller and Mario Nafal, analyzing Donald Trump’s foreign policy, particularly his actions toward Iran, which experts describe as impulsive, strategically flawed, and legacy-driven. They argue Iran will likely endure and strengthen, using economic pressure to weaken U.S. influence. A broader bipartisan trend toward reducing foreign military commitments emerges, especially in the Middle East, signaling a shift in U.S. foreign policy. The midterms are expected to see a Democratic win in the House, with Senate outcomes hinging on key swing states and election integrity concerns. J.D. Vance is viewed as a likely Republican nominee who may distance himself from Trump’s hawkish stance. The discussion also touches on Trump’s erratic behavior, including potential nuclear threats, framed as a symptom of an over-ambitious legacy agenda rather than mental instability. The piece ends with brief product endorsements for Madison Reed hair color and Sensodyne toothpaste, emphasizing user experience and comfort. Overall, the content blends entertainment, consumer advice, and urgent geopolitical commentary.

subscribe to the feed here if you haven't yet i'm getting subscriber mogged by the guy who's
just doing an interview with mario naufal this is part of kind of my effort to continue to get
outside the bubble a little bit
it's got an international stream that is like a little trump friendly or was a little trump
friendly during the campaign you wouldn't have known it from this interview because uh this is
kind of in the vein of those that really bought into trump's candidate of peace message which uh
is going none too well uh as you might know so um i went over chatted with mario it's almost
a little sad kind of just kind of a sad little puppy he's just i can't believe how bad
it's going so we hashed out what's happening with iran and ukraine uh what's happening on the on the
right and kind of horseshoe intersection with the um you know potential alliance between the kind of
dsa left and the right on various things um i talked about the possibilities there and the limits
um uh we did some domestic politics it was good so subscribe to the feed here for my own ego for
my dignity please uh and uh stick around for a chat with me and mario hope you enjoy it hey mario
what's up man
good to see you you know you're just always you're always in my for you feed you're pissed
off what are you pissed off about yeah but i don't know i was kind of planning to have at least one
last relaxing weekend before the war breaks out and i just saw a report as we're going live
reports are emerging unconfirmed but we're getting different sources that iran has placed
its military forces at the highest level of alert for the next three days because usually weekends
when war breaks out so i'm like great i was just planning to have a chill night tomorrow on
saturday it's like all right i planned it out like this is my last night before
all shit breaks uh breaks out again and i get this well you could find somebody else to sit
in for you while you you know i don't know what you do in your free time but while you hang out
one night but because it's a little bit i don't know like the groundhog day movie we have here
where you know it's it's new but it's old it's the same story you know trump threatening the
mother of all bombs and this was was in the news today that they're being you know they're being
presenting him the idea of doing the moab um and uh you
know he threatens annihilation backs off you know they don't have a strategic end game here so what
you have instead are these kind of little bouts of activity and i think that with the midterms
i've been a couple weeks here you have trump probably thinking you know maybe the idea of
being on offense feeling aggressive seems better than the posture they're in i don't know i think
he's honestly wavering on it i'm i'm just so
i know every presidency considering how the system works in every country not just the us but a
presidency is never like what what is sold to you in the campaign trail all the promises made
most of them are not going to be delivered but at least you get a sense of what the president
will stand for and trump one of them the core pillars of his campaign was no more foreign
wars i've got a fight against the swamp i didn't give much credence to that but you know ending
foreign wars that was the big one for me and i'm just so disappointed to see us here
what do you the first time we speak yeah what do you see us see the us and the rest of the world
what do you what do you make of this like what led us here and what is what do you think is going on
in his mind now like he's i mean i think one thing that's particularly particularly striking about
that pivot for him versus past presidencies is that nothing prompted it really i mean you know
if you go back to 2000 which was like the first campaign i was really watching closely you know
george w bush was running on kind of focusing on domestic issues fixing our education system all
that and then you he ends up embroiled in iraq but that was like largely because september 11th
kind of changed the environment you know for um and i think obviously he gets into this quagmire
in iraq but at least i think the americans and people around the world i kind of understood
why the change of focus right and it's kind of obvious why it had changed with trump it was like
he said that the iranian nuclear threat was dealt with in 25 you know when they did the bombing then
uh and you know you basically get this pitch from bb in the oval office you know you have a lot of
iran hawks around trump who are getting in his ear i think that the venezuela thing gets him high on
his own supply feeling like he can do this and that it's easy you know i think bb told him that
they're going to build a gold statue to him in tel aviv and he starts thinking about legacy and
it's this just change out of the blue that i that nobody saw coming you know and he gave a speech at
now now i'm going from memory i believe it was two nights before he started the war and didn't
mention it and it was certainly within a week before the war and didn't mention iran in the
speech really and so look on the one hand being a never trump or someone who was against him from
the start um my my instinctual response to you is you should never believed in the first place i
mean he was a he's a snake oil salesman he always was um uh but um i understand why you know people
got more blindsided by it i think even as a
never trumper you have to be honest though you didn't expect it to be this bad you did you really
expect him to go to war with iran no i mean i thought the corruption
immigration stuff yeah the immigration stuff was about what i expected um but no even after the
war with iran started mario i mean on my show over in the bulwark i remember distinctly uh you know
it happened on a weekend like you said so the first it was kind of just starting on that monday
by the tuesday or wednesday show i was already saying
he's gonna pull out like you know they had 48 hours of shock and awe he's gonna just call it
good call it a victory ayatollah's dead like good luck over there we'll see what happens like i
thought that that's what was gonna happen even after the war had already started and it was kind
of i couldn't even like part of the reason why i couldn't believe that he was sticking with it
was just because to me i it was so such an obvious strategic quagmire you know and like
and so obviously harmful to his political process
the midterms that i just thought that like you know there's just those forces if nothing else
would cause under to kind of turn around on it um but you don't know once you know once he got in
as far as he got then once you have the stuff with the straight a whore moves like there's no
face-saving way out for him you know i felt like there was maybe a window within that first 72 hours
where you could have maybe you know had a face-saving exit but not not now and what what
does an exit even look like
yeah exactly like this is why i've said it many times like before the war it's very easy for me to
have a position like this war should it should just not happen it's a stupid war now i really
have no idea what he should do because there's just all these so much mess that he created that
it's impossible to know how do you please the uae and saudi and israel because you got all the
influences the lobbyists etc and take care of the us and america first and europe is pissed off
asia's pissed off china wants this ukraine wants that
so it's just everything is is uh the hooties has been you've got the hooties
yeah i mean and and the cost and here's the thing like you know the cost the the energy crisis is
this this has caused like even if the straight opened today right i mean the disruptions like
prices are going to stay high for people for a long time like there is no easy kind of turnabout
on this um and you know it's been something i've been saying i feel like
in a lot of ways um domestically the media has been letting the republicans off the hook because
a lot of the republicans have been trying to say well you know i think it's time to wind this down
but it's but the question is like how what how what is the plan for winding it down i mean you
just give iran control of the straight okay but now what what what is going to happen on the other
straight and all above with the hooties and and saudi um you know as but then escalate it to what
i mean they he they created a mess with no plan and they're not going to be able to do anything
they're going to have a good plan um to me and you were and we're on the same page on this like i
just on the start to me it was just obvious that it wasn't going to be that they didn't have a good
plan and um it was just total megalomania man i mean that's what happens when people get very
um full of themselves and you know he's in this bubble and and nobody believed you know you can
understand his psychology a little bit it's like everyone told him he's gonna lose the first time
everyone told me he was done he thought he might be in jail he comes back in he gets to the white
do this Venezuela gambit and
I don't think people realize how close that was to being a disaster.
I mean, like, the Venezuelans were shooting at our troops.
Like, imagine if some troops had died there.
They'd get out by the skin of their teeth.
And I just, he feels like he was a guy at a hot craps table.
And so they got into this without any thinking about what it could be.
So I'm with you.
I don't, I mean, I don't, luckily, as somebody who's just a podcaster
who told him it was stupid from the start,
I don't need to be the person to have a solution.
But I don't know what their solution is.

What's the situation like in the U.S.?
You know, I'm not sure I've heard about it.
I'm not sure I've heard about it.
On the outside, I'm too deep in the geopolitics of the region.
Energy prices, diesel prices keep breaking records.
We've got, I'm seeing the odds on the midterms
of a democratic clean sweep.
What's the situation like domestically in the U.S.?
And how much have things changed for Trump?
I mean, I think they've changed pretty significantly.
His core base of, like, the types of people
that wear the red MAGA hats, like, 90% are still with him.
I mean, for a lot of these people,
it is just really, like, being a fan of a sports,
a sports team, you know?
And so, but that is not as big of a,
as much of the country as people realize.
It's probably a third of the country, 30%, you know?
And then the problem that he had
was that all the people that he added to the coalition
were people who I think have some sensibilities similar to you.
You know, it was a lot of younger men
who did not like the wars,
wanted the Epstein files to be released,
you know, wanted prices to be cheaper,
wanted more economic opportunity.
Like, that was the bill of goods that he sold.
And, and so I think they're the most mad.
You know, it's kind of like the last people in
are the first ones out.
And so, you know, he's going to have a huge drop
in support among Hispanic voters,
particularly Hispanic men,
that's going to cost them to bail out the Democrats
to win Texas for the first time since 1994.
You know, that's the heart of the Republican Party here,
but a lot of Hispanics in Texas.
And then he's going to lose a lot of ground,
you know, with younger men.
Who either don't turn out to vote
or, or reluctantly vote Democrat.
And I think he's going to lose a lot of ground
in rural America,
because this is where the cost of diesel really matters, right?
And if you're, you know, driving long distances,
you're a farmer, truck driver, like, you know,
if you're part of that farm economy,
you know, they've been hit the hardest.
And so, and that, like, that has been a place
that's been a Republican kind of stronghold.
So, you know, I think that's what's happening.
Like, for the,
for the people that are insulated from this economically,
you know, he still has, like,
I think the rich Republican types are still very much with him.
You know, evangelical voters are very much with him.
But I think he's lost a lot of ground
among kind of the more kind of non-religious,
younger male vote.
And that, that was the reason that he won the second time.
What do you expect to happen in the midterms?
First, do you expect peaceful elections?
Peaceful, fair elections for everyone to accept the results?
Or are you worried on that front?
I'm only worried about, it depends on how close it is.
So, you know, Trump, this was bullshit when Trump said this,
but his whole thing in 2024 was we've got to make it too big to steal.
Now, the Democrats weren't trying to steal it.
Kamala Harris was certified her own defeat in the Senate peacefully.
And so, like, that was an empty threat.
But like, the principle behind that empty threat is right, right?
Like, if it's a very, if it's a close one,
if it's a close election, I expect that there'll be shenanigans.
We have some news out today that the Department of Justice is,
is, you know, calling for a freeze on,
I think it's 20,000 ballots in California because they suspect that
these mail-in ballots went out to people who weren't citizens.
Hard for me to judge the validity of that.
But, you know, that, that's unusual thing to do
before the elections in this country.
So, you know, I think that obviously that they're interested
in trying to do things on the margins.
But, like, if the Democrats win by big margins,
it is, it's hard to have a believable story to tell, you know?
And I think about this, like, in, I was covering,
do you remember the character Carrie Lake?
Remember her in our election?
Yeah, sure.
Yeah.
I was covering that race in Arizona when she lost in the midterms
after January 6th, so it would have been 22.
And, you know, I was a little nervous.
I was covering, I was in Phoenix and, like, she lost.
I was like, are we going to have a little,
you know, mini January 6th here in Arizona?
And, like, nothing happened because it just didn't, you know,
you had to have, A, the galvanizing candidate, Trump, to do it.
It had to be close enough that people felt like it mattered.
You had to have a moment where they all gathered
like they did on the mall.
You know, it had to be kind of the right set of circumstances.
I don't really expect that to happen this time.
I think that the Democrats are going to win very handily
in the House of Representatives.
And I think the thing that gives me a little bit of worry
is that the Senate,
will be determined based on whether Democrats can win
in these pretty Republican states.
Like, the Senate control will be determined by Texas,
as I mentioned.
Ohio, which used to be a swing state,
but it's gotten pretty red.
Iowa, which is a kind of a plain farm state
that used to be a swing state, but has been pretty red.
Alaska, which is a red state.
So all those states have, like, Republican governors,
Republican, you know, people that run the elections,
Secretary of State are all Republican.
And so if one of those,
if it ends up in a situation where the Senate is determined on Texas
and it's a 10,000 vote margin between Tallarico and Ken Paxton,
you know, then I would have some worries.
Like, they'd challenge certain votes
and people would say, well, there were some, you know,
in the brown counties or too many votes, whatever, you know.
And so I think that there's some risk,
but I'm not quite as concerned as some of what you see out there.
Yeah, some people are really concerned that the system itself,
internally, is going to collapse.
But what worries me more is less so either I have faith in the American system.
It's been pretty resilient despite everything it's been through.
It's going through a tough time now.
What worries me more is kind of the,
I wouldn't say it's a lesson learned after Trump became president,
but it's more kind of how much closer these two sides,
left and right, Democrats and Republicans,
have come when it comes to foreign policy,
especially now Trump v2 proves that.
So the big worry I have is will anything change?
Democrats do get the House and the Senate,
and then we get a Democratic president afterwards
because there's a lot of reports that Iran is going to wait out Trump
and make a deal with the next president.
But how much different would the next president be?
Yeah, I think that there is actually a pretty significant change
in both parties on posture when it comes to foreign policy,
posture when it comes to Israel in particular.
I wouldn't say that there's. I don't think there's a zero percent chance
that a strongly pro-Israel person could win the Democratic nomination
because sometimes things happen kind of by accident.
You know, maybe there are three strong candidates
and there are kind of two that are more,
not isolationist, but, you know,
two that are more pushing for restraint in foreign policy
and one that's a little more hawkish
and they kind of split the vote.
You know, so it's possible that like a Josh Shapiro
who's the governor of Pennsylvania
wins the Democratic nomination, I'd say.
But I think more than likely,
the Democratic nominee will be somebody
that wants more restraint in foreign policy.
I think that they will want to be more supportive of Ukraine.
But I think other than that,
they'll be kind of more on the dovish side of the party.
And then I think that J.D. Vance,
I'm kind of in the minority on this,
so take it for what it's worth,
but I personally don't care for J.D. Vance at all.
But I think he's much more deft politically
than people give him credit for.
And I think that he likely will be the next Republican nominee.
And I think that he will likely distance himself
from Trump on the Iran war.
I just think you're seeing all of that.
And so I think it's quite possible that you end up having J.D. Vance
versus, you know, some Democratic nominee
that wants to dial back America's aggressiveness
on the world stage and that you do see a real change on foreign policy.
You know, a lot of this is going to be also dependent on world events.
Like, who the hell knows?
Like, what if China gets more hawkish between then?
and now? What if something with AI happens that
causes you know uh requires more aggressive posture i think maybe in other parts of the
world besides the middle east but i think that you're gonna have two nominees of both parties
that want to give us the fuck out of the middle east um in 2029 i think that's the most likely
outcome i hope so we were hoping so before this war and then this what happens it's difficult to
be hopeful after this uh these last year and a half well this was the problem you put your hope
in the wrong person i mean jd i mean trump and bb were friends for they've gone way back um jared
kushner and bb go way back um i don't know i think maybe you put your hope in the wrong person
uh i wouldn't let your whole hope be dashed um because donald trump cheated you you're not
you're the latest in a very long line of people donald trump cheated going back to
you know the people that uh uh he didn't pay that he stiffed when they were contractors for
his companies and you know the people
don't know
went to trump university that was a scam trump has a long history of scams so
i mean it was um investigated by the obama administration and then shut down
because it was fake it was like an ml anything anything come out of the investigation any
charges at all boy you're really testing my memory now that was like back in 2015 20 maybe even
earlier but um i think he forgot about it till he mentioned it it was like an mlm marketing situation
yeah and um i i it was i don't i don't believe that it i don't believe that it ever rose to i
trump ended up having to settle trump ended up having to settle now now you're we'll see what
ai says about this i forget i'm upset i should i i usually am like a bank of all these things
yeah well it is a long time ago yeah um but your university had to settle a 25 million dollar legal
agreement multiple fraud and false advertising charges so it was like a civil civil settlement
not a criminal
there's also you know there's the camp of people that i worry he's completely lost his mind going
through dementia etc some people talking i'm talking about just random commentators you know
people like marjorie taylor green tucker carlson joe kent but to a lesser extent i'm not in that
camp but they believe that trump could even use a nuke if he gets desperate enough and i'm not
talking about nuking an entire country but using at least a tactical nuke as a way to to get
concessions from iran or try to end the war if this gets a lot worse is that a worry you have
and do you think he's meant to be a nuke
he's mentally all there i'm a little worried that tucker's lost his mind but that's kind of
for neither here nor there i guess really a little bit yeah i mean he was talking about bestiality
today on the show and he has he thinks that the germany or the good guys in world war ii i don't
know tucker tucker doesn't feel particularly stable to me he's in a russian grocery store
talking about how great work they're doing over there he's like oh man it's so everything's so
cheap here um i don't know yeah
that worries me less than the like about germany i think the argument the world war ii argument is
now i'm not a historian etc but i know the argument is like germany yeah germany could
have uh you know they wouldn't have been a war if the uk did not get involved wouldn't have
evolved into world war ii i'm not saying this is the case i don't remember the argument because i
moderated one on that but um but anyway because that's the one that will impact your country yeah
um look trump's always been like this it's kind of what i think
i think i mean i do think that he's a little insulated uh more so um and the thing that worries
me like if you look at uh is less about like dementia or him going so crazy that he doesn't
have his faculties like i feel like that feels like a little bit like fan fiction to me like
that a realistic worry that i have is if you kind of tie together all of his choices over the last
year the ballroom the arch um uh the the flirtation with greenland
um the the flirtation with greenland
venezuela coup iran it all feels like very focused on like legacy right like i want to be
remembered there was this weird thing i don't you had jonathan swan on this right because i watched
that um because i had jonathan swan on my show he wrote the uh regime change book with maggie
haver yes yes i've had both of them yeah yeah and um they had one anecdote in that book where
trump was telling them that he had like a list of the people in the history of the world who had
napoleon and all this sort of stuff and so i worry less about like dementia and more than like he gets
in his brain that for him to be remembered as one of these great figures of history
like you have to do something crazy like take over a new country or nuke somebody i i don't i'm not
saying that i think that's a 50 chance but i i think it's a non-zero chance that trump in his
last year he feels power fading he wants some history to be remembered and i think that's a
historic legacy and he does some crazy aggressive action um i don't think that's out of the question
at all i think that's something very that's a very legitimate thing to be worried about
oh i didn't expect you to be worried about this because you weren't that worried about
the midterms which i thought found to be less alarmist than him using it well yeah you make
you you make it i mean again again it's all like mario it's all like okay well is it a two percent
chance sure but like two percent yeah was there a two percent chance
of biden did a nuke no you know what i mean like to me it's just like any chance above zero is too
much and i and i do think he's thinking in very grandiose terms and my point is i don't want to
predict what it is because i could not i would not have predicted the greenland thing you know
what i mean like i don't our venezuela for that matter i'm just saying like once you get in this
grandiose world historic leader thing you know that takes you to a place of of conquest or of
some other grand
action that that people remember i think that i think that's a very legitimate thing to be worried
about what do you think he's um um what do you think he's going to do with iran
with iran um yeah because you started off at the beginning you thought he's going to walk away here
we are yeah the midterms are about to happen he's in a pretty shitty quagmire how far do you think
he'll go to get himself out of that mess because you you also talked about how he cares about his
legacy so much and that's a pretty shitty legacy if it leaves it leaves iran as is my first instinct
is that he does you know i think the most likely outcome is the thing that he's already done
so that he does some other dramatic you know moab bombing or you know shock and awe style
bombing and then and then calls it a victory you know and then gets them to the table and
and does a bad deal and leaves i think that's the most likely outcome but um i don't know
that um that's assured you know i mean i think that like some kind of escalation is also uh
is also certainly possible um and i think that um you know like sometimes this the scenario
you know he might not be in control of all that anymore right i mean i don't know exactly what
iran has planned and this is i guess the one area maybe i turn this back on you
like the thing that is a little bit of a black box
for me is it's hard for me to tell like how bad is the iranian economy really like how long can
they weather this really like who is like you know uh how how um aggressive are the people that
are in charge you know so i think that this kind of depends on all that like is it the type of
situation where iran would be happy to do a favorable deal with him after he does a face
saving bombing like if so then okay but if not i think i think anything's possible now all the
yeah all the reports are pointing that their economy's in in a really bad shape but they're
they've been pretty resilient because when you bomb the hell out of a country you get a massive
rally around the flag effect you saw the people at the protest you got iranians now a lot more
resilient than they would have been at the beginning of the year when they were fighting
their own government in the protests um the the people i speak to the iranians and their reports
came out about this is that the iranians are most likely unless trump comes out with a crazy deal
which looks highly
unlikely because it will be embarrassing for him um they're going to wait him out so they're going
to maintain the status quo where they're also attriting the u.s military because the costs of
getting those ships out of the state of humus is astronomical there's the cost itself per day used
to cost fifty thousand dollars a day just the shipping fee it went up to 1.3 million dollars
a day from 50k and that excludes the military cost for the u.s um so
all all around these two just wait it out weakens the u.s make it less and less likely the u.s return
to the same capacity to the region and then when there's a new president who's less friendly to
israel more pragmatic and he wouldn't be it wouldn't be as embarrassing for a new president
especially democrat that comes in and says i'm gonna clean up trump's mess people would understand
if he does a deal that's shitty they'll blame trump for the mess but if trump does a shitty
deal it would look horrible on him so it's best in their best interest to just wait out trump
i think that's right i look the people i've the folks i talked to here who are you know a lot of
the um you know my foreign policy guests are people that are more hawkish on foreign policy
and you know would want a more aggressive american posture and all of them even said
that this was a stupid idea and the big takeaway um you know from the foreign policy experts kind
of on the center left center right here was that that iran probably comes away from this
with more power in the region right and you know and so if they can wait out as you're saying
some economic pain in the short term don't really care that much about their citizens we can just be
honest um you come out on the other side with a lot of economic leverage with a weakened saudi
weakened israel probably you know um you end up in a situation where iran is more powerful
more influential in the region than they've been in a quarter century
like that's just that's what people who don't like iran think is gonna happen
oh absolutely absolutely it is it's a it's an objective way of looking at it because iran
now has proven control over the strait of hummus and we saw already one of their proxies or allies
the houthis just have so much success in such a short period of time um i just remembered because
you we mentioned tucker earlier and i remember tucker's conversation with anna kasparian and i
want to ask you that question are you seeing because of what trump did when it comes to foreign
policy especially when it comes to the middle east and israel are you seeing both people on the on
the left and the right side of the table and you're seeing both people on the left and the right side
of the table and you're seeing both people on the left and the right side of the table and you're
seeing both people on the left and the left side of the table and you're seeing both people on the left
and the right coming together on those issues of just stopping all these forever wars not only in
the middle east but internationally just getting the hell out and approaching the world differently
um certainly you're seeing it online um and i think that you're seeing it in the democratic
primaries somewhat um where uh you know look apac put in a ton of money in a lot of these races to
not not a ton of results in democratic primaries usually it was the more uh you know i don't know
i would say in some cases hostile to israel and other cases just kind of more neutral or more
realistic or practical candidate on israel was winning um a lot of democratic primaries and so
i do think that you're going to see that i i think that you know it kind of depends on whether you're
just talking about the military or more broadly you know i think that a lot of people in that
kind of anna krasperian tucker set are also like basically pro-russia and like don't think that we
don't think that we're going to be able to have a democratic primary base in ukraine in the ukraine war
i do not think that sentiment extends into the democratic primary base at all maybe that's maybe
like a 10 20 position on the on the more far left of the democratic base i think that the
democratic base will want to re-engage with europe more you know um i think that the china
thing is kind of up in the air about i don't think that there's really a lot of fully formed views on
how to handle china um right now among democratic voters
there are among the politicians so yeah and i think that at the middle you're seeing a pretty
you know united maybe not united but a coalition developing between a big part of the republican
base and i think a majority of the democrats on wanting to to completely reassess the relationship
towards israel and the middle east and and dial back our role significantly and then i think
disagreements beyond that you know what a shit show in ukraine though the last few days that is
just crazy
it is crazy it's throwing allies under the bus while making deals with the enemy out of desperation
who's the enemy in this case you think yeah you think russia's the enemy
russia i'll call them a perceived enemy but still definitely more of an enemy than ukraine but if
you look at how things are looking right now ukraine as an ally is just being thrown out of
the bus you know i don't support the war i want the war to end shouldn't have never happened
yeah but at this you know i don't want it but i mean it's russia's fault russia's war i mean
russia chose the war and it's crazy
they continue to put pressure on ukraine like you're putting pressure on the wrong party
in the war it's like well what is ukraine supposed to doing out of desperation yeah he's doing out of
desperation after the iran mess yeah he's choosing his own political his own political interests over
what's best strategically in that war the thing i don't know about that i don't understand what's
happened last few days in russia it gets me a little bit into conspiracy territory because
it's just like i i don't know if trump is acting just emotionally i don't know
if there is some some deal like you know where trump and and putin and elon and this does this
is kind of my one worry about the midterms like maybe you know there's some coordination happening
there that that might have to do with midterms or elsewhere or whether he just really thinks that
the like he's been convinced that the bombing of the diesel plants in russia is what's causing him
all these problems because like it doesn't make the story doesn't make sense on the merits like
the idea that oh
we need to do this deal diesel deal with russia to help alleviate the price of diesel in america
like it's not it's gonna make what help 10 cents a gallon like help on the margins it doesn't
something else is up like something else is yeah i'm hoping i'm leaning more towards again
and i'll probably get a lot of slack for this especially the mess that was created in iran
but i am hoping the goal here is because you i don't know what's happening behind the scenes
is it looks like russia is the one that doesn't want to deal um and and recently i see like a
i'll meet i'll meet when you're well i'll accept to freeze the lines it just depends on what terms
i don't know if the disagreement is going back like in iran the disagreement is the straight
i feel like the main disagreement in the russia ukraine war is territory because putin freezing
the lines as they are after all the casualties he faced it's going to cause political issues back
home and zelensky giving up land that he currently controls that's just suicide and so you're in a
position where putin wants the entire donbass uh the all four oblasts ukraine wants to freeze the
lines and trump wants to freeze the lines and he wants to freeze the lines and he wants to freeze
the lines and trump is like i want to get this out i need a win before i was happy to support
ukraine till we freeze the lines but i've changed my mind right now you know what zelensky i want
you to go to accept putin's deal and give him the territory he wants give him the four oblasts and
we're done i can call this a victory and he's therefore he's using that deal the diesel doesn't
make a difference any difference economically it won't impact the price of diesel but i think it's
a signal to ukraine like hey we're going to start playing we're going to start pressuring you if
you don't accept the deal and he starts with this the whole starling story
the threats of not giving him his intelligence so he's just trying to get a deal i just don't
think that that's possible i mean you know zelensky you're in this deep like how do you do
that deal and if you're also if you're zelensky it's like okay great i give them the four oblast
we have the pause and then this all starts over again you know once russia is able to
you know re you know um not even if it starts over again not even that you're just giving your
own territory like i made a tweet today saying you know there's anyone that
criticizes including me anyone that criticizes the territory israel's invading wants to annex
and everyone criticizing the terror should also criticize should hold russia to the same standard
when it comes to ukraine something along those lines i can't remember my tweet it was this
morning but it takes a lot for a country and i'm in the camp that blames nato and obviously putin
for invading but blames nato for playing a role in getting close to the russian borders and giving
putin a reason it's a whole different discussion but it doesn't mean it justifies an invasion and i'm
i fully empathize with ukraine because they're the ones that end up losing not your u.s is not
giving up their territory nato members are not it is ukraine that is so i empathize with ukraine and
ukrainians and it's very difficult to ask the leader of a country to do that yeah exactly and
i guess the point i was trying to make is that i if you just take putin at his word you just listen
to the speeches i mean i his plan would not be to stop there right i mean like there would be some
ceasefire but all that would do would let russia try to catch up technology on drone technology
that they obviously
you know they're not going to be able to do that they're not going to be able to do that they're
going to have a shortage of of bodies or importing bodies uh people from north korea and elsewhere as
just like okay so like zelensky gets nothing out of that deal i mean he would he'd have no
political support for that in the country um it doesn't make any sense logically so i i don't
i mean maybe trump thinks that he can get zelensky to agree to this but i just i don't
see how that is possible yeah oh what a shit show well tim it's a pleasure to meet you i appreciate
