Trump Faces MAGA Backlash as Supporters Turn Against Him

They're burning their mega hats and their Trump flags. Donald Trump supporters are abandoning him in mass as Donald Trump has betrayed everyone. Donald Trump's approval right now is the lowest in presidential history since the invention of polling. I want to share with you what we're seeing across the country and I also want to share with you some of the high profile Trump supporters who are abandoning him in public. Let's talk about what's going down across the country. For example, you've got these three-time Trump voters who are farmers and ranchers and here's what we're hearing for example from people in Iowa here play this clip. So I travel a pretty large area here in our counties. I'm seeing a lot of blue signs this election cycle that two years ago, four years ago, I was seen zero and this year it's just the opposite. I'm seeing zero red signs and all blue signs and areas that typically you know I wouldn't expect to see them in. And so to me that's you know let's tell me something somebody's out there and they've changed their mind. Now we did also speak to farmers who said they feel disillusioned by what's going on in Washington with one telling me that he feels his crop is being used as an negotiating chip in DC. Now Donald Trump can try to say things like this. That's what he posted last night. We have the best financial numbers ever and the fake news media refuses to report them. DJ Tino, you're just a fraud. You are a crook and a criminal and a felon. You're also a sexual abuser and a predator. The American people have figured you out they should have a long time ago but everybody knows that you are a liar. You are a loser and you are a fraud. Listen to what Sylvester Stallone just said in an interview he did with the New York Times. Now he was a Trump supporter and now he's out there saying I'm against war. I'm against this war in Iran really because you kind of aligned yourself at the hip with Donald Trump. But here's what Sylvester Stallone says play this clip. And now I realize all war is futile, it's stupid. It's a mechanism to make tons of money for the war department and manufacturers and these kids just going out there into a grismo being chopped up and then when they come back with no arms, oh sorry you're on your own. I hate it. I hate it and I'm bitterly opposed to it but at one time I was truly gung ho, really gung ho. And I don't know if I was just trying to go against the current you know in Hollywood there's a certain dynamic as you know but I can I admit it was I think it's just naive to say really because I read a lot especially after first blood and I go well this is brutal, this is horrible, there's no glory in war. Nine, nine. When did you become into war? It's it's if you're if you're under attack of course you have to defend yourself but I don't want to get into politics now but all wars basically destroy both sides. I mean it really creates this horrible history and you know I don't get over it. It just don't it's grudges are held and you know continents are just I mean countries are destroyed and lines are withdrawn for what though. And then we also learned this past week that Donna Ganger the mother of Renee Good voted for Donald Trump. Yes, Renee Nicole Good who was murdered by the Trump ice and border patrol Gestapo. Her mother was a Trump supporter. Okay. Here's what she said during a hearing that the Midas Touch Network covered this is from the C-SPAN feed here play this clip. As a parent it is our instinct and our honor to protect our children. Fast forward to today and as torture that as our mom and as our family we could not protect Renee but no one can protect against others who are determined to district art our countries constitutional rules and values. That is what happened on January 7th. Our family is a very American blend. We vote differently but we love each other deeply. I'm a registered Republican. I voted for President Trump under the impression that these agents were here to protect the citizens of the United States innocence like our family and the others here against terrorists certainly not to accuse those of us here of being terrorists and take precious lives. This is madness. You want to talk about another high profile Trump supporter calling him out in public on a podcast with the founder of a company that acquired Politico. Here you have Peter Teal. Don't get much more of a kind of Trump mega oligarch than Peter Teal. Here's what he had to say about Trump. Here play this clip. I think the two administrations kind of made opposite mistakes. The first administration brought in all these people who couldn't agree and it was just all this internal fighting. The second administration I think had all these they over corrected for the mistake of the first term with all these loyalty tests. You got sort of an administration staff by not very smart but very loyal people. So there are all sorts of ways it's it's it can be criticized. I don't but but it also again it reflected a way that that things things had reached a certain exhaustion on and certainly on the Republican side. In this past week we want to talk about other people who were Trump supporters. Nick Fuentes, I'm only going to play a short clip of this said that we need to burn the Republican party to the ground. And he said he wants to see Democrats destroy Republicans and hold hearings and impeach everyone here play this clip. So no this Republican party. I will continue to say it. The Republican party needs to be burned to the ground. They need to lose substitute. I want it to happen. Please I cannot wait for it to happen. I don't just want Republicans to lose. I want Republicans to be annihilated from the face of the planet. I want them to be destroyed. I want them to be emulated and literally burned into a pile of ashes. These people are scum. They have betrayed us. They've enriched ourselves at our expense. I hope there's nothing left. I hope Democrats win 260 seats in the house. I hope they take the majority in the Senate. And I hope they impeach everybody in the cabinet. Not just Trump. I hope they impeach Vance. I hope they impeach Pete Hegseth. I hope they impeach everybody. And I hope they subpoena everybody else and depose everybody else. And I want it to happen because that's what needs to happen. Republican party has to be utterly destroyed. They have done nothing other than lose. When they promised that they would win. No, this is circulating as well. What Donald Trump was saying when he was running for office in 2016. And before that in 2011 about Xi Jinping and state dinners. And then Donald Trump had our service members, our Air Force personnel and our army personnel. Get down on their knees for Xi Jinping and roll out the red carpet as Donald Trump and all of his cabinet and state regime media Fox propagandists were faunting over Xi in the CCP. It was epic. They said so epic. These people are such grifters and traders here playing this clip. And we have the president of China come and we give him a state dinner. Now when people are screwing you, you don't give him state dinners. I would not be throwing him a dinner. We've had this conference. I'd get him a McDonald's hamburger and what he's done is sucked all of our jobs. Melania and I are delighted to welcome you once again to the White House. You are truly outstanding amazing people. I wouldn't give him a state dinner like we do for China and all these other people that rip us off when we give him these big state dinners. We shouldn't have dinners at all. We should be eating a hamburger on a conference table. You forget the state dinners that cost by the way a fortune. Now, Harry Enten broke down some of the numbers over here. How Trump has the highest strongly disapproved rating ever on record here play this clip? We have been talking about how President Trump has historic unpopularity going into a midterm election. But I'm not quite sure that goes far enough when looking at the data because when we break it down the approval ratings by how strongly people feel, President Trump has the highest strongly disapproved rating going into a midterm election on record. Look at this. 50% of Americans now say that they strongly, strongly disapprove of the job that President Trump is doing. That is, they don't just dislike him. There's record hatred for the President of the United States going into a midterm. The previous record holder was Trump going into the 2018 midterm, but then he was only at 45%. Before that, it was George W. Bush going into the '06 midterm at 41%. So right now what we're seeing is President Trump with record hatred towards him going into this midterm election. No wonder Republicans, at least some of them are running away from it. Okay. Is there a converse of this? Are we seeing any changes among those who say they really, really approve of him politically? You know, President Trump has been historically polarizing, right? Yes, they're those people who really don't like him. Dare I say, hate him. But there have also been those people who really love him, right? And those two counteracting forces have sometimes worked with the President's benefit. But not anymore. Why is that? Because take a look here. Okay. You can probably approve rating here, strongly approve of the President of the United States. Apparently, something doesn't want me to share this anyway, strongly approve of the President of the United States. Someone is clicking through here. Here we go. Strongly approve. Whoever is in his system is playing with Harry's wall. Why would they? Please stop. If you are playing with his wall right now on the internal computer stop, you could do it after we're done with that. Thank you very much. Okay. Strongly approve of the President at this point in a midterm election, which you see here is Trump. Look at this. Just 18% strongly approve of the job that President Trump has done. That's actually less than the average President going into a midterm at 27%. It's less than Trump had going into the 2018 midterm at 27%. So Trump actually has fewer people loving him than what we see with the average President. So what's going on here is normally Trump is able to counteract that strong hatred, which strong love, but not anymore as that strongly approved number has actually dip below what we normally see for a President going into a midterm election. I never so provocative. You can hardly. That's exactly apparently the number just want to jump off the screen. All right. What about the key swing group independence? Yeah. Okay. So you see this 18% right and you see the strongly approved and you see this strongly disapprove at 50%. What about the independence? Look at these numbers. Look at this independence on Trump with strong feels 56% 56% of independent strongly disapprove of Trump compared to just 9% who strongly approve among the group that determines elections in this country country. You see the hatred for the President of the United States, this is what the voters are saying. Now north of them, north of 50% it's a majority of them and that is a difference what Johnny be of 47 points in the negative direction in terms of the strong feelings on Trump from independent. Now, did you see this circulating as well? These videos are showing what the remaining Trump supporters look like and it's going mega viral here. Play this clip. My President, please, I don't need to know what it is, just give it to me. Beautiful plate. Nobody serves it like this. Nobody. If you made it, I know it's good. That's not dirt that seasoning. Don't explain it to me, sir. I already. So with all of this going down, state regime media, Fox ultra desperate right now. And so you have Lara Trump, Donald Trump's daughter in law who hosts a show on Fox because this is North Korea crap right here. Actually, North Korea is probably a little bit more normal than this to be clear on what the hell this is. Lara Trump interviewing Nicki Minaj and if you read the Kairan, it says, pushing back on the pressure to vote blue. Some news here pushing back on the pressure to vote blue. And then Nicki Minaj says, the problem with Democrats, right, Nicki Minaj is like a Trump bootleger. And she goes, the problem with Democrats is they get too caught up in pop culture. So they've allowed their relationship with artists to cloud their judgment. And she's like lit. The projection here is outrageous here, play this clip. Well, I think the Democrats have gotten way too caught up in pop culture for lack of a better term. I think that they've allowed their relationships with artists to cause them to act like children and to be so petty and childish. But that's what I think they do. They allow people to, in the music industry, to influence them. And these people clearly don't have their best interests at heart. These people have their egos at heart. You see, and then you just look at, let's look at Michigan zoom in over there. Donald Trump's approval net negative 28 in Michigan. You take a look at the governor's race right there, according to the Suffolk poll, one of the top posters in Michigan, Jocelyn Benson, the Secretary of State, leading Maga Republican extremist John James, 51% to 34% right there, a commanding lead over there. And so you have Trump and John James, and people like that say, you want me to give you $5,000? I promise you this time, unlike those dividend checks and unlike tariff rebate checks, which we lied, we're really going to do it this time, but you got to vote Republican. It's so utterly pathetic. This Trump regime has caused so much pain to the American people with their tariffs against the world, ripping to shreds the government, catastrophic wars abroad. It's one thing after another ripping away people's health care. You know, like we give you $5,000, and you're not going to give $5,000. And it's not a plan. And you're just a bunch of liars and grifting frauds. You know what? I want to bring in Michigan Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, candidate for governor in the great state of Michigan. Let's bring in the interview I just did with Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson. Let's bring it in. Now I want to bring in Michigan's Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, who's running for that important governor seat right now. Great to see you. Let's talk about Michigan under attack from the Trump regime. It seems every day since Trump took power, you're running against somebody, John James, a MAGA Republican, extremist in Congress, who's been aiding and abetting every step in this process of Donald Trump's attack on Michigan and attack on this country. Where do you see the race right now when just talked us generally about what the people in Michigan are facing as a result of Trump's catastrophic war, the tariffs ripping away people's health care, just about everything pretty much. Yeah. Well, thanks for having me. And it's really clear in here from Michigan that we're in the middle of a battle over the future of our economy and our democracy. And the 2026 election is going to determine that future for generations to come. Our campaign is fundamentally about three things, cost down, wages up, and ending the corruption that got us here. And yes, every bad economic policy decision Trump has made has hurt Michigan more than any other states. This bizarre tariff war with Canada, our neighbor to the North, has increased costs on Michigan households up to $5,600 each. And that's more than any other state. And then you add the war in Iran, right? Driving up our gas prices so that they're close to or over $5 a gallon. It's unsustainable in a state like ours where health care premiums are also on the rise. And yeah, my opponent has voted multiple times to increase those health care premiums. Hurting Michigan families has supported Trump's tariffs, hurting and costing Michigan's families. And has voted six times to support the war in Iran, even though it's driving up the cost uniquely significantly on Michiganters. And that's the choice facing voters this fall. Who do you want the next governor of Michigan to work for? The people driving down costs and raising wages as I will, or as my opponent has shown us, he'll work for Donald Trump and for himself. That's not the leadership we need in Michigan. Yeah, I mean, I think one of the really sick things also is that Donald Trump and people like John James are saying, this is the golden age right now and that this is what everybody wanted and that things are amazing right now. You hear them repeat that over and over again, and they just blatantly lie about everything. And I think people are seeing it now for what it is, but that's their strategy is just everything. You know, health care is cheap, everything's amazing. People have never been richer. Jobs are, you know, on the rise, housing is a four, they're just saying it's like that's not happening. I don't know what world you live in, maybe in club Mar-a-Lago or golden ballroom world, but that's not what people are experiencing and Trump told people in Michigan in 2024. Here's what I'm going to do on day one. It's all been a lie. Yeah, and everything they're saying is so out of touch with the people I talk to every day and to the point where I just want to say, have you not talked to any Michigander that is struggling to pay higher bills because of your actions? Because of your support of these economic policies, I live in Detroit and a neighbor of my name Gwen has been diagnosed with cancer and she told me the other day that she has a look at her bills every month and choose, choose, does she pay for her chemotherapy or does she pay her electricity bill? And what I've found, first of all, gut-wrenching choice that she shouldn't have to be faced with, but is faced with because of the failed leadership in Washington. And her story is not an anomaly. Every nurse I talk to, every doctor I meet with, every health care roundtable that I host, I hear very similar stories of these impossible choices that are life and death decisions people are having to make as a result of these failed economic policies, the big, beautiful bill that's designed to get people off health care and not make them healthier. They're doing everything wrong at the federal level, showing up everywhere we don't want federal government to show up here in Michigan, state leaders, and as governor, I can make Make sure government. showing up for our people, saving them time, saving them money, and then hopefully making their life a little bit easier. And then Trump's constant attack on Canada and how that's backfired and, you know, you look at our strongest allies, the bond, especially between Michigan and Canada, you know, historically, you know, strong familial, in a way. And Donald Trump just relentlessly attacking, and that has real implications on the economy in Michigan, right? And so it's like just enough of, like, what are we even doing here? Talk to us about how, you know, that's impacting Michigan. Yeah, significantly. I mean, I, I will say as governor on day one, I will begin talks with Canada to negotiate carve-outs to these reckless tariff agreements and subnational agreements between Michigan and Canada that will go around Trump's reckless tariffs that are driving up costs more than any other state and make sure we can try to lower costs and save our jobs. And, you know, getting this right is critical to creating better paying jobs and raising wages. I was in Michigan a few months ago and someone who's building affordable housing there said the uncertainty that these tariffs have created have made it impossible for him to meet his deadlines and even know if he's going to actually complete this affordable housing development and provide housing for the residents of Michigan. These tariffs are driving up building costs from lumber to steel to copper in our state, and that is directly impacting citizens' ability to afford to live in this state. And it's also impacting employers' ability to recruit and build a workforce that is able to get higher wages in this state. So it's all because of these tariffs and, again, the war in Iran, that big, beautiful bill, everything is combining to create an unsustainable situation for our economy, for our residents. And the only thing that we can do about it in this moment is elect state leaders who will fight back and will ensure that we are driving down costs with the tools we have in our toolbox here in Michigan, and that's what I'll do as governor. You know, the person you're running against, again, he's a MAGA Republican, extremist Congress member, John James, he voted for everything that Donald Trump did that hurt the state of Michigan and to hurt the country. He was a cheerleader for it. And I was just trying to, before this interview, I'm like, what's this guy running on? And basically, he's saying that I'm the, I was the arsonist, but I'm the firefighter now who's going to put out the arson that I created. But then also, I'll, you know, wrap my hands around Trump, and I still support him. But I'm running, I don't, I really don't even understand what the message is. It's like, dude, you created the problems, you and, like, and you had the chance, look, if things were great, like, let's pull back for a second. If Donald Trump did the things that he said he was going to do, if electricity prices were half what, you know, what they are now, that's what he promised there, half what they were in 2024. If gas prices were $2 a gallon, if we actually brought in trillions of dollars, you know, if all these jobs are being created, okay, then you then run on that, but like, you created like, you know, he created the problem. So it's just very interesting to him. Yeah, this is his mess, right? This is his mess that we have to clean up for our economy and also for our democracy, because remember, my opponent was also on the ballot running for the US Senate back then in 2020. He lost that race, and he denied the election results. So we're in a scenario where the path to future elections, the presidency and the like run right through Michigan, we cannot have a governor who does not know what it takes to defend the vote and protect our elections, not in this moment. And not only is my opponent shows he is no interest in protecting the vote, he has done everything he could to parent and repeat Trump's lies about our elections and our economy, sure every bad economic policy Trump promotes, he supports my opponent supports. And in addition to that, he denies election results as I defend them. And so the choice facing voters in Michigan in this critical battleground state couldn't be more clear, who do you want the next governor of Michigan to work for? I will work for the voters, I will work for Gwen, I will work for the people. And my opponent, he's already shown us who he'll work for. Donald Trump in the highest bidder.
