Trump Blindsided as It Gets Worse

A growing wave of public disillusionment is sweeping across the U.S., particularly among voters who once supported Donald Trump. Many now view his policies—especially on immigration, foreign wars, and economic management—as broken promises and harmful to marginalized communities, including Hispanic families and long-term immigrants. Voters report being betrayed by the lack of tangible outcomes like lower inflation, affordable healthcare, or job creation, despite their election support. Republican leaders like Ron DeSantis, Ken Paxton, and Jim Justice are openly distancing themselves from Trump, highlighting internal party fractures. Economic indicators, such as soaring mortgage rates and manipulated inflation data, further fuel skepticism. At the same time, polling shows rising support for independent and Democratic candidates in key states, signaling a shift in political momentum. The sentiment is compounded by real-world consequences: deportations, business disruptions, and the cancellation of major conservative events. This reflects a broader crisis of trust in the Trump legacy, with critics arguing that his policies prioritize wealth and power over safety, equity, and the American dream. The narrative emphasizes that trust in leadership is eroding, and the political landscape is shifting toward accountability and reform.

Donald Trump is watching as Maga dies after all. Donald Trump killed Maga. He betrayed his base. He screwed over the entire country, but he screwed over Maga a lot as well. And we're hearing statements like the following. I'm 21. I'm going to college here in Fayetteville, voted for the first time in 2024. Straight Republican. I plan to vote Democratic this year. At least against Tom Cotton and Sarah Huckabee. This war in Iran is a betrayal. Not a broken promise. A broken promise is HW saying no new taxes. This is a betrayal of no more foreign wars. Americans are dead on behalf of Israel. The Republicans have completely effed themselves. And they deserve everything coming their way. And they aren't even sorry for it. My friends keep saying the Doyle thing that I just need to deal with it. Costems are worse, but that's bullshit. That doesn't work on me anymore. Or how about this furious Maga caller abandoning Donald Trump over the catastrophic war, inflation, and broken campaign promises calling into the Megan Kelly wrap up show. Listen to this. Let's play it over the last couple of weeks. Been getting. It seems like a handful of colors every single day who are totally disillusioned by someone. In many cases, they say they voted for Donald Trump. Thanks for taking my call. I voted for Donald Trump. And I got to be honest with you and tell you, you know, we didn't get a war. We didn't get the lock up Hillary. We didn't get the drain to swamp. We didn't get affordable healthcare. We didn't get to eliminate the national debt with dogs. Remember we were looking and they only raised it from 36 trillion to 40 trillion. Okay. We didn't get the Epstein files accountability. I think Pam Bondy probably got fired because she released some of them. It wasn't supposed to. We didn't get a doge check of 5 grand. We didn't get a $2,000 tarp check. Okay. We didn't get lower interest rates. We didn't get nothing but lied to. And like I said, I voted for the guy. But this guy is the big. He should be selling used 67 Cadillac poop devils at some youth car lot because all we've gotten is garbage. Iran. Iran. Iran. Okay. The price of oil comes down. His big buddies are in a rich buy. Price of oil goes up because we buy them. They sell, sell, sell. The whole thing is a sham. Well, he's selling watch. Could you imagine if Barack Obama was selling watches, sneakers, and all kinds of stuff, we'd be going nuts. I'm sorry. I would never vote for this man again. And you know what? Sometimes things got to get worse before they get better. But there is no America first with president Trump. I'm sorry. It's just wrong. Wrong. Yeah. Yes. And I think that sentiment right there that things have to get worse before they get better. So from his perspective, voting for Democrats is going to make things worse. But he's going to do it anyway because he's so angry at Trump and he feels like Trump has to feel some pain. Another woman called in recently and said the exact same thing. Yeah. That is, you're seeing 50 to 55% of people strongly, quote, unquote, strongly disapproved. That is euphemistic for how those people feel about him strongly disapproved as being generous. Then you had yesterday Ken Paxton's recorded meeting where he said that Donald Trump screwed over the entire Republican party with the Republican midterm convention. And that Donald Trump is a drag on Paxton's polling numbers as well as Republicans across the country. Here's what Paxton said here. Play it. And then Scott Jennings on CNN said, I wish Paxton would have just kept that to himself here. Let's play this clip. I was not happy with this comment today from Ken Paxton. Even if he thinks he was being honest, sometimes keep it to yourself and say, we're grateful for everyone's support. We even have the mega Republican extremist senator from West Virginia, their former governor, senator Jim Justice and deep red West Virginia, breaking with Donald Trump on ice. Quote your dragon people away that have lived on your street corner for 15 years. I don't know that we need to be doing that to get better. The first thing you got to do is admit you're doing something wrong. The rats are fleeing the sinking ship. I mean, you've got mega Republican governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis calling Donald Trump out for renaming A.I. S.I. and saying that they are data centers. They are S.I. Center, super intelligent centers. And we're going to put them all in your backyard. I mean, this is what Ron DeSantis posted yesterday. Super intelligence factories equal surveillance centers. And this is after Donald Trump was saying, oh, the data centers are so big and beautiful. I know real estate and I'm going to put data centers everywhere. If you want to get rich, you need data centers. Ron DeSantis, again, he's an extremist. It's a bad person, but he's clearly positioning himself against the JD Vance Marco Rubio Trump. And that regime, especially heading into 2028, I find that notable. And then not only that, he held a press conference where he went after the data centers, which is a major part of Donald Trump and the kind of Trump regime's policy right now is data centers everywhere. And DeSantis called him out for it. Here, I'll just play a short clip because I'm not going to play a long clip of DeSantis. Just play a short clip right here. I agree with that. You know, the thing about the data centers is there's not really a big economic impact once they're created. Like, yeah, if it's constructed, people can make some money doing that. Obviously, there may be some jobs that can go. But once it's done, it employs like a half dozen people. And you know, these tech companies will likely bring in foreigners to do that on some visa. They're not going to hire from your local community. It's just not what they do. So, you know, from that, I think a lot of these communities are not supporting the construction in their area when they go before these boards now because they're thinking like, okay, it's sucking a lot of resources. But it's just really something that we need in our communities. It's something that's going to benefit the community. And by and large, you know, this is a cross-party line. I think people are saying no dice on that. This episode of the Midest Dutch podcast is brought to you by our friends at Wildgrain. I love Wildgrain. Hispanic voters on the Texas border have sourd on Trump. Not sure why you would have went to this guy in the first place, but okay. In 2024, these voters were an essential part of the winning Republican coalition. Now, many feel abandoned and furious complicating the New York headlines, the New York Times headlines. They did a good report, but like the headline complicating the party's chances in November. I mean, Donald Trump put their family members in concentration camps. I mean, Donald Trump destroyed their small businesses. I mean, Donald Trump literally tortured these people. It's complicated. This is one of the things that I think about as important. I often get asked, "Hey, Ben, what's the political messaging going into the midterms?" And I go, "I'm not a political messaging guy. I'll get to that story in just a moment." I go, "I'm not a political messaging guy." I say, "What has been your lived experience right now? If you've lived these past two years, and you believe that this is the golden age, there's no political message I have for you. I just think what we all have to realize is that Donald Trump and this Epstein class oligarchy, they are out to destroy your lives and to steal from you and to torture an inflict pain. They can't satiate their desire for more money for more material things, even when they have enough money for hundreds of generations. I mean, the amount of wealth they have is insane. They want to see you suffer and they want to cover up child sex trafficking and they want to get involved in these never ending wars, where just as they're covering up child sex trafficking, when they get involved in these never ending wars, who are the first people they're killing? The children, the little girls and Minab, the elementary school in Iran, then the sports hall, where the little children and the girls were playing volleyball in Le Maird, where the United States tested out these new tungsten missiles that dropped these pellets and killed the little children. And the Trump regime, you saw a Hegsith and they were like, this is what Isaiah, the book of Isaiah told us to do, I mean, these are some real six, these are some six, six, six people. Sorry, I digress. I just wanted to get that off my chest. These New York Times article highlights people like Jessica Kanto, who runs a coffee shop in San Benito, Texas, who cast her first ballot in 2024 for Donald Trump. Two years later, her brother was deported, she feels angry and betrayed Ariel Salinas, who owns a construction company in McAllen, Texas, can no longer reliably, reliably find laborers for her work crews. He blames the president's immigration policies for his financial headaches, Louise Cabrera, a pastor, who once mobilized his congregation in Harling in Texas to vote for Republican candidates like Trump is now trying to keep Hispanic evangelicals from giving up on voting all together. And again, it highlights these stories, dozens of interviews across the border in Texas, of Hispanics who actually voted for Donald Trump. And they talk about quote, they betrayed me. They turn their back on us. Nobody cares about us here. I can see that clearly now, I knew that he was going to start deporting people, but that he was going to go after the bad criminals like true hardcore criminals rapist and killers. This was an individual who was in a small coffee shop she runs, and she was saying that she thought of her six children who ranged from ages six to 12. Of course, I want streets to be safe, but she didn't expect that Trump was going to not go after the criminals, that Trump was going to take people who were here on asylum, people on temporary protected status, people who were children, people who were here for generations, who were here for a long time paying taxes, building businesses. Your world truly does go upside down because now it's not just hurting you, it's hurting your parents, it's hurting your children, it's hurting your grandchildren. I started to hate this person said I started holding resentment and grudges, especially from those people that I rallied with for Trump. We feel betrayed. And I think it's important that you know this about Trump too. He picks on people who he thinks are weak, it's why he always goes after your children. And he goes after people who were here on temporary protected status and people who were here on who were here for asylum. It's too hard for him to go after the criminals. So he's going after people who are pursuing the American dream because Trump hates the American dream. So you've got that. I mean, there are more stories coming in as well. And you take a look, I mean, at some of the latest polling data over here from South Dakota, the independent candidate, Brian Bangs. He's leading the MAGA Republican candidate, 51% to 42%. You take a look at the latest, Marist polling over here. I'm dual L. Syed leads, Mike Rogers and Michigan, 51% to 44% in the governor's race. The Democratic candidate, Jocelyn Benson leads 53 to 41% over the MAGA Republican Congressman extremist over there. And again, one of the things that we're seeing too is mortgage rates now approaching 8% treasury yield, the 30 year approaching 6% to 10 year yield note. The worst performance since 1994, that's pushing all of these lending prices up. And continues to surge. And what do we see yesterday? The Trump regime changes the formula for inflation. They changed the PCE formula and they made it so that it would be reduced by 20 to 30 or perhaps even 40 basis points versus what the inflation number actually was. Like we came in 30 basis points lower than expected. Yeah, because you changed the formula. And then once everybody realized they changed the formula, they were like, really? And this is what the Trump regime does on absolutely everything, everything right here. And so I could keep on calling, but you get the point. Oh, should I, this is, you heard about the story. The MAGA festival featuring Kid Rock was canceled over poor VIP ticket sales, the conservative political event that featured Kid Rock in Kentucky, Eric Dieter's, the organizer said, I'm never, ever, ever, ever ever going to do this event again. It previously drew big crowds and now they couldn't even sell more than like two VIP tickets. There you have it. Let me know what you think. Hit subscribe. Let's get to 7 million.
