Trace Gallagher: When I Faced My Fears & Looked Like A Kardashian

Trace Gallagher, host of Fox News at Night, delivers a sharp critique of California’s overregulation and the political culture behind it, using the metaphor of the evolving beach sign to illustrate how freedoms are gradually replaced with increasingly complex, arbitrary rules. He argues that decisions like closing beaches and schools during the pandemic were not based on science or public safety, but on a desire for control, reflecting a broader societal shift where fear and bureaucracy take precedence over personal freedom. Gallagher contrasts this with the risk-assessment mindset of outdoor activities like water skiing, where individuals constantly evaluate danger and build resilience through experience. He blames leaders like Gavin Newsom for enforcing policies without evidence, claiming their actions are rooted in control rather than evidence-based reasoning. The episode also critiques media institutions like CNN for adopting similar rule-heavy, reactive stances, adding new “rules” without accountability. Gallagher emphasizes that such policies disproportionately target marginalized groups—like the homeless—while exempting wealthier citizens who can afford compliance. He warns that the pervasive emphasis on "safety" has undermined democratic freedom, personal agency, and economic fairness. Ultimately, he calls for a return to personal responsibility, experience-based judgment, and a rejection of fear-driven rulemaking that stifles innovation and liberty. The narrative underscores a growing societal crisis where freedom is being replaced by a system of compliance, control, and rule-based policing.

Thank you. I see you in the building on occasion. You know, there's an open chair for you, right? Anytime you want to come in, sit down, talk about whatever topic you think is top of mind, we would love to have you on. Just so you know. I would love to, and I will definitely take you up on it. I always. There's a lot of people that have a lot of rules about stuff. Like, I do this, I don't do that. I've always just been like somebody. My number one answer when people go, why'd you do that guy's podcast? I go, he asked. Right. So I just went, fine. We'll figure it out. We'll make it happen. We have very few rules. Our rules are that you come on, you say something interesting, you be compelling, and you have an open invitation. It's a misnomer, and I get it all the time when people go, you go on those Fox shows, you echo their talking points, you read from the script, and you cash the check, and you leave. I always go, you don't get paid, and they don't tell you what to say. But other than that, you're two for two. And the opposite, I would say, because you actually give us talking points. There was something you were talking about a couple of weeks ago where you went to a beach and you were talking about the signs at the beach where in the old days, you'd have a sign at the beach that said, you know, do not bring your dog on the beach or something. And now the sign on the beach goes from, you know, one thing to 600 things that you cannot do on the beach. I'm glad you brought that metaphor up because it's sort of a metaphor, but it's also an example of sort of where we're at. And I just want people to picture this. The beach sort of historically, it's like where the Mayflower landed, you know, and the pilgrims and the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria, you know, like the beach is sort of landing freedom America. Right. So it's sort of symbolic that way, but it's also has a modern day symbolism. Like when they show movies or TV commercials, like from the seventies, they're on the beach, they got a Michelob, they got a bonfire, they're playing, they're playing music. It's at night. The guy's making eyes with the girl. And it's like, it's a freedom. Like if you really think about the beach, you talk about people who surf, they just go freedom, just being out there, just being on that wave. You know, it's so the beach is freedom. California is one big beach. And now it's one big sign of stuff. You can't do on the beach. I, they don't let you throw a Frisbee anymore. And so my metaphors, they never take, they never take anything off the sign. They just add stuff onto the sign. And now 30 years on that science full of a lot of stuff you can't do, but it's just a metaphor for California. All they do is add rules. And not only just adding rules, but they make it more complicated as it goes. Like why live in Manhattan beach. And when you go down to Manhattan beach, you have to figure out, okay, tell me what this flag means again. Is this flag mean that there is some rip tides out there? I'm not quite sure because this flag used to be, here, this flag is this color. Now it's an X flag. It looks like an Indy 500 race, but I'm not sure what that exactly means. Can I go in the water? Can I not go in the water? And then you get the lifeguards going back and forth all day long, looking to see, are you, uh, do you have a bottle? Are you drinking anything? Are you drinking something that maybe is nefarious inside of that thing? It's crazy. If there was one place that was literally, if God made a place for smoking, it's the beach, right? It's one, giant ashtray. Like if you really break it down, ashtrays, you should have sand. It says buckets was saying that there's no fire. There's also nine, not breeze coming off the ocean. Every time there is no secondhand smoke, it's just, but, and everyone is spread out. If you lit a cigarette on the beach in California, you would be arrested in no time. But if you want to just go to Venice beach and slam heroin fine, fine, so it is, it is insane. But every understand everybody, your civil liberties are taken away one at a time. And it's always for your safety. It's always for your safety. Everything at that beach is for your safety. And you're like, look, if I want to smoke, I should be able to smoke. If I want to have a beer, I should be able to have a beer. And also I will risk, getting hit by Frisbee so that other people can enjoy throwing the Frisbee. How about that? You touched on it. You said, listen, the beach is about freedom. And you had the governor of California this week saying, Hey, remember when we were shutting down the beaches, man, that was really a bad idea shutting down the beaches. But they were told that the experts told them the place for people to be is on the beach. Let them go to the beach. The best place to be is outside. You keep stuffing people inside. You're doing the detrimental work that we are asking you not to do. But they continue with that. And that was the point is you have Newsome saying, Oh yeah, we shouldn't have closed down the beaches. Yeah. But you, now you want to shut down AI. You want to shut things down. It's your first reaction. And you are adamant about, Oh, we got to shut down this AI. Now we shouldn't have shut down the beaches. We shouldn't have shut down the schools, but we do need to shut down AI. Right? My thing with Gavin Newsome is your excuse is incompetence. Essentially. You go, I didn't know anything. No one knew anything. First off, they do this. Nobody knew anything. I knew it. Plenty of people knew it. You deplatformed them and fired them from their jobs at Stanford and canceled them. But people knew stuff. You didn't ask their opinion. Fine. This new thing of we made a whole bunch of mistakes, but it's because we didn't know anything means you need to step down. Now you're, you're basically, it's me. Go on. I'm a sea captain of a tanker ship and I ran it into the rocky shoals and I destroyed, uh, I destroyed the sea sanctuary. I didn't know what I was doing, but by the way, put me in charge of the fleet now. And it's like, Oh, you didn't do it on purpose. No, I'm incompetent. I didn't know the rocks were there. I had no idea. The rocks were actually there. That's your job to know the rocks are there. That's why you have a Navi. It's why you have these incompetent sea. Captain and you must be fired right now. And it's an interesting thing. I connected to the feminization of our society, which is men want to punish. So men, you know, the football coach goes, you know, the guy goes, I forgot the snap count coach. Take a lap. Uh, by the way, you take a lap. Everyone's taking a lap and you can blame Higgins Staller because he forgot to snap count. That's right. Now, women come in and go, he forgot to snap count. Leave him alone. He didn't do it on purpose. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Women always do the he didn't do it on purpose. Leave him alone. And men are like, we need to punish and we need to discipline. And the more feminine we get, the more we realize is Gavin Newsome didn't do it on purpose. He was incompetent. And then his whole thing is now you can leave me alone because I caused millions of dollars of damage. God knows countless lives. How many people are set back? Who's got hooked on drugs? Who got became an alcoholic and who killed themselves? I, Who put on 40 pounds locked in their apartment? I don't know. You did all that, Gavin. You did all of it, but you didn't know what you were doing. Right. You didn't know what you were doing. You're saying, I don't know why we did that. And then two seconds later, you come out and say, now we should do this. And you think, wait a minute, why don't you get some feedback? You knew this stuff was wrong when you did it. You knew the schools. You did it because the teachers union said close the schools. And now you want to shut down AI because you have people in your party and you have people who think that they can control your bid for the presidency if it goes that way. And you're now taking advice from them to say, shut it down. Shut it down because the downside is worse than the upside is high. And Gavin Newsom is just sitting there like, you know what, this is a good idea. I'm going to jump on this until I say two years from now, boy, that was a bad idea. Let's try this. You know what I realize? This is the Democrats and CNN and MSNBC and Gavin Newsom. Come on. This is their this is their. New ivermectin. You guys didn't know shit about ivermectin. You still don't know anything about ivermectin. You know nothing about ivermectin. Somebody told you to call it horse paste and all you stooges dove and all jumped in line and you didn't know shit about AI. You still don't know shit about AI, but you're stooge and somebody told you to attack AI and you all got on the same page overnight, just like you all got on the same page about ivermectin. You didn't know what it was. You didn't know how to pronounce it. You never heard of it before. All of a sudden, overnight, everyone in CNN became an expert on ivermectin. And they have been asked again and again. And I have we ran on the show a couple of nights ago where they have been asked again. So tell me about AI and tell me why you think this needs to be put in place. And they leave the microphone. They walk away because they don't have an answer for this. The only answer they have is when someone told them, OK, the briefing is this. You need to go out there and say we're going to shut down AI. And when she gets here, Trump needs to be tough. We need to be tough with him because, you know, this whole kissing she's butt is getting old and you can't do that. And then you got to tell she that we're going to shut down AI and he needs to do the very same thing. And it's laughable. And then they turn and they walk away from the microphone because they don't have any more answers. Yeah. Let's let's tell India and China to watch their carbon use as well. Right. Good luck. Right. Yeah. Let's ruin the U.S. economy. Ruin the U.S. economy is totally fine. But but China and India are going to keep going. They're going to keep dominating. And then you're going to. They're going to say in five years or 10 years, man, we shouldn't have done that. Maybe we should have waited to see if they were going to jump on board and they didn't. And we did. And boy, we're awfully sorry now. Remember, everyone's safety. Is your friend if you're working on an oil, Derek, but societal wise, it's the enemy. Everything is done under the guise of safety. Nobody says I'm a maniac who wants control. That's why I'm shutting the beaches and outdoor dining. Right. They don't say that. They say it's for your safety. Everything they tell you you can't do is for your safety. It is a plague. It's a problem. I'm I've told my assistant over in the kitchen there. I leave. She'll go have a safe day. Everyone says I can stop saying that. She starts laughing. I go, I'm not I'm not kidding. Stop with the safety. Stop with the fucking safety talk. Yeah. Every dude's a pussy. Of course, they can't drive a stick that everyone's where they wear a helmet to leave the house. Fuck that. Get some balls and let's get back to it. The safety thing destroys civilizations, California and Los Angeles. All they do, every everything they say is safe. Every freeway sign says slow down. Yeah, I'm going nine miles an hour. I'm stuck in traffic. What do you mean? Slow down, click it or ticket slow for the cones. They don't say drive like champions. They don't say use your blinker. They don't say anything. Safety Uber, Alice. It's part of the guy. No fascism. It's pushed by women. COVID. We all just got fucked by COVID because of the guys of safety and because so many women sort of were weaponized by safety. Well, remember, I mean, the whole the whole idea behind the vaccine was, is that the reason that we are firing you from your job, the reason that we are pulling you out of the military, the reason that we are pulling you out of military school and so on and so forth, is because you're putting other people at risk by not getting the vaccine. Who are vaccinated. That's right. And then you said and then and they knew and we have the documents to prove it. They knew when they said that, that you the vaccine didn't stop you from getting it or spreading it. It was a personal decision that you and you only should make. Nobody should tell you because it did not stop you from giving to somebody else or getting it. And they penalized you for not taking. You had to get vaccinated for them and their safety. And then you had to wear a mask for them and their safety. And I just go, I don't want to wear a mask. I don't care. You're wearing a mask. Yeah, but you got to wear a mask for me. All right. So it's it's all narcissism and it's all safety. By the way, there are no there are no other human beings who rail against safety like I do. And I've told this and Dawson, you can find me with Chris Cuomo challenging Gavin Newsom on shutting the beaches. I'm sure Trace would enjoy watching that clip. But I race. Cars. When you get into a race car, everything is safety. It's one big safety film is a race car. Every you have to memorize every flag. You're talking about memorizing flags, every flag. It's not just the checkered flag or the green flag to start. There are flags. There are 10 other flags. You've got to memorize. It's a full course caution. It's a local caution. It's a red flag. It's a black flag. You got to know what all the flags are. You have to. I had a. I had a. I had a brand new what I thought was a perfectly conditioned helmet and an expensive carbon fiber helmet. I mean, like a two thousand dollar helmet in my world was like brand new, too old. It was like eight years old. You've got to buy a new helmet. Every Hans device. I'd buy a new head neck thing. It was too old. I had to replace the seatbelts or the harness in the car. Too old. Expired safety, safety, safety, safety, fire suits, everything else. I do it. It's an it's an environment that's dangerous and you and you want safety. So that makes sense when they closed down Laguna Seca one year because of covid, a big outdoor environment at, you know, in Monterey. I said, no, I don't I don't need that kind of safety. I need I need ride a motorcycle, put a helmet on safety, not bullshit, shut down outdoor dining safety. This is me on. Election on the debate night and Gavin Newsom was zooming in and he didn't know I was there. He wasn't warned that I was there and I wasn't warned he was zooming in. They told me two minutes before he zoomed in. Gavin Newsom's coming on. You got a question for him? They weren't setting me up. They didn't know anything. So I thought of a quick question. Adam Corolla here. Governor, why did you shut the beaches in California during covid? Yeah, I think we all were working on information at the time. We had no basis of deeply understanding the virus. I think they didn't know anything. So why did you shut the beach like Florida? If you didn't know anything, why did you shut the beaches? Well, we didn't know. Yeah, because people were concerned early in the pandemic. Information was coming out as it relates to how it was transferred. The disease and people were cautious trying to keep people alive. And I should say this. You let them go in the sunshine and get vitamin D and exercise. So you shut the beaches. OK. And you arrested a guy who was paddle boarding in the bay. And health, wealth and. Yeah. Any science behind that? Any science at all behind shutting down outdoor dining? Why'd you shut down outdoor dining? Go ahead. Science. Based on science you didn't have. The debate tonight. It's not a debate. You shut down outdoor dining. You canceled business. It's nothing to do with science. All right. Let him finish. He blocked. All right. Go ahead. All this happened in the with members of the Trump administration. Members of the Trump administration. Right. All right. We didn't know. It's crazy. His favorite line is hindsight is 2020. It wasn't hindsight. No, I knew a lot of people that knew what the facts were. They knew you ran them out of town. You fucking coward. They knew. By the way, who wants a leader? Well, there's a who wants an airplane pilot going, hey, in hindsight, I wouldn't. I wouldn't have hit the volcano. Yeah, we all wouldn't have hit the volcano with hindsight was a bad move. I actually should have pulled up on the yoke. It was a bad move. That's right. But but hey, listen, can I fly that 747? Can you let me fly the 747 now? Because I think I can do it. I've learned a lot. You know, in hindsight, Newsom does this all the time. He talks himself into a hole that spins himself deeper and deeper and then comes out of it with some excuse like, well, we didn't know we didn't have the information. Yes, you did, because we provided the information for you. Yes. We gave you and your press office the information for you. And you came out and you still did it, even though you had the information. And you can say maybe they didn't hand it to you, but you had the information because we confirmed that you had the information in your office. Well, here's an interesting, maybe psychological dynamic. If there's something you want to do versus something you don't want to do. So you go, well, what governor? would want to shut the beaches and the parks whatever. And then somebody comes up to you and goes, hey, how about COVID? Well, if you didn't want to do something, then you would go search for information to not do it. But if you wanted to do it, you would ignore that and search for information to do it. So what I'm saying is if you're, let's just say your wife said, look, I heard you have to get a prostate exam every Friday. Every single Friday, you got to get a prostate exam from your doctor. And you would think, geez, I don't want to go in every Friday and get a prostate exam. And then what you would do, you would set out immediately to look on your phone, prostate exam, figure out whatever. And then you would present your wife. You'd go, no, no. It says that the Mayo Clinic suggests only once every other year. That's after the age of 70 or whatever it is, you would make your case. If you didn't want to do it, you would go to the Mayo Clinic. If you wanted to do it, you would go find information. So you have to think about the mindset of Gavin Newsom. There is no data that says shut down outdoor dining. There is no data that says shut the beaches. There is no data that says shut the parks. There's no data. But he went and did it anyway because he wanted to do it. If he didn't want to do it, he'd say, like the prostate exam, hold on. I want to see the data. And he would be the first to acknowledge that, oh, no, no, no, no, we didn't, as he did on here, and we didn't have the information. Well, then seek out the information. Find the information because we do this all the time. I mean, the bottom line here is he shut down the beaches not because he thought it was a good idea and it was going to save lives to shut down the beaches. They shut down the beaches. The same reason they want to shut down AI. It's control. They want to control the situation. They want to control the beaches. There was a bathroom in Noe Valley in Northern California. It took four years to build. It cost $1.6 million. It was a lot of money. It was a lot of dollars four years ago when they finished it. And it went through 32 different regulatory things, including the Forest Service. And you're like, what is the Forest Service? Well, it's all about safety. No, it's not. It's not about safety. It's about control. You want to control the situation and you're not doing your homework. You're not saying if I'm going to get the prostate exam every Friday, I'm going to damn sure find out why it is I have to get this prostate exam. Right. But now here's the bigger problem. Gavin Newsom is Gavin Newsom. He's a sociopathic dope who wants control. Who votes for Gavin Newsom and why do they like it? And I'm telling you, we have a growing number of people who want to be crate trained. They like the feeling of it. They think. So if you said to them during COVID, I'm not shutting any beaches, I'm not shutting any schools. You're on your own. This thing can't be controlled. It's invisible. You can wear a paper mask. Good luck. I can see the side of your face through the stupid mask because you've got the band twisted around your ear. And I don't know. Use all the prowl you want. It's not going to do anything. People feel scared and out of control and panic. So what I do is I come in and I go, hey, crazy housewife, would you like to not get COVID? She goes, yeah, I'll do anything. Every time you pass a telephone pole, you walk around it twice. And you say, olly olly oxen free and you won't get COVID. And she goes, I'm listening to this guy. Yeah. And that's what we just experienced. Those people didn't know shit. And if you guys weren't such idiots, we wouldn't put up with this stuff. I processed the whole thing. I had like three people tell me. Bean from Kevin and Bean. I remember clearly Kevin and Bean show. Remember K-Rock? Of course. Yeah. Bean moved to England. I think he was that. And he got COVID. And Bean is a particular guy. And I knew he'd do everything they told him to do because he's a little Howard Hughes-y, right? And he goes, Adam, I washed my hands. I did all this stuff. I quarantined everything. I wore the mask. I did everything. And I still got COVID. And all I heard was, good, I don't have to do anything. Because if you did everything and got it, then why would I do everything and get it? Why not enjoy myself and either get it or not? And so I heard do nothing when he said, I did everything. And I talked, everyone led their story, by the way, especially the Hollywood pussies. I did everything. I did everything. Like they were going to get executed if they didn't do everything. I did everything right. I stayed home. I wiped everything down. I triple masked. I didn't travel. And first off, shut up. But secondly, good, I'm doing none of it. Right. And then there was the flip side of that where you had people, the smart people like Bhattacharya saying you're putting people in a bad position because you're, you are literally trying to embolden people by saying, listen, put one of these dumb masks on, put the, put the bandana on and put it below whatever you're doing, however you're going to wear it. And then go into Costco and feel, feel bold, feel strong because now you're protected. And so they send everybody into Costco and everybody's got the masks all over the place. Nobody's got a good mask, nobody. And so you go into Costco and they send everybody into Costco and everybody's got the masks all over the place. And so you go into Costco and what do you do when you go into Costco? You get COVID and you walk back out and you get the rest of your stuff. And that's the part, the problem where you think this is what they did is not only did they want to control you, but they were putting people. And I don't know why Costco was open and the local liquor store wasn't open. They didn't explain that, but they send you into Costco and they send you into Walmart and you got a mask and you stay six feet apart and you're like, oh good. Oh good. What's the six feet for? We don't really know. And why are you wearing a mask? And why are you feeling like you are empowered to go into this store? And you think, oh, look at me. I'm bulletproof now because I'm six feet away and I got a mask on. You walk out and what'd you get? Well, I got some coffee, some toilet paper and I got COVID. Boom, there, off you go. I got some coffee, got 900 rolls of toilet paper and I got COVID. And I got COVID. Thank you very much, California. Well, listen, everybody, I'm sorry to say this, but you're going to have to stop being pussies. You're going to have to wake up a bruise. Stop wrapping everyone in bubble wrap. We're nuts with the safety. I cannot tell you. And there's a relationship with safety that we don't have and it's killing us in this sense. There's two things we're suffering from right now as a society. One is we are not building things and creating things, which takes a mind which is very, it's tactile, it's very linear, but it's also logical. You have to be super pragmatic. If you want to build something, it's an order, it's a sequence, and it doesn't care what color your skin is or who you pray to or if you're a man or a woman. It doesn't care about anything. It's just this is how you do stuff and you do an order. And I started noticing, A, that all the guys who built things, guys that were contractors and wrench on cars and stuff like that, they weren't nuts about, they're not nuts about any of this stuff. They haven't bought into any nouveau nutty college, free Palestine, river to the sea, COVID, man as a woman. None of the dudes that actually build things or do things are nuts. The guys who repair transmissions are not nuts because they can't have a feeling about the transmission or say that they do some sort of transmission land acknowledgement or something. They either pull the tranny, crack it, fix it, and put it back or nothing. There's no talk. There's no anything. So there's that. But there is a relationship with danger that we grew up with, which is you'd get onto that dirt bike and you're thinking about taking that thing for a jump and you'd have to think about it. I know you played football, played football. You have to think about, you know, how you're going to play, what you're going to avoid, who you're going to try to avoid, things to do. You would never play football. You would never play football and run down the middle of the field and close your eyes. Right. For instance. Right. You had to constantly sort of assess. And then when you go onto a construction site or you use tools, every single tool is potentially dangerous, but it's also your best friend. But it will fuck you up. Right. If you don't. So every single time it's like you don't just take the skill saw and buzz through the plywood. You would clamp it down. You would hang it out, not do it in the middle of the two saw horses because it'll bind and kick back and everything is a. Everything's a calculation. Every every. The difference between getting on a ladder versus putting up scaffolding versus tying yourself off to the roof. I mean, it's all progression. It's all danger. It's all deal with it. Nobody deals with danger anymore because they grow up in a digital world. It's one big screen. They're sitting in air conditioning and they can't assess it. Right. So when COVID comes around, they just go lock yourself in your house for the rest of your life. It's like, no, no. Assess. Assess. Right. I mean, you make a good point. I played football, but more importantly, I actually was a professional water skier for a number of years. And the way that I made money is the more things that I could do, the more tricks that I could do on the water skis, the more that I could just go balls out and do that, the more money you would make. So I would kill myself learning how to do these things. I mean, I'd head toward a ramp at 35 miles an hour and go up and try to try to try to land a front flip or try to land a back flip because if you did, you would earn more money. And you realize the people who are looking at this and saying, okay, I have to do this and I have to go up. And the people who are taking the risks and fixing the cars and doing the tactile things are the ones who look at things reasonably and say, this is the way you do this. This is the way we build a consensus about how we're going to handle COVID. The people who never do that are just waiting for someone to tell them what to do. There's an old adage that says, those who can do, those who can't teach. And the people who teach are the first ones to say, we should be doing this. We should be doing that. Not the people who could and did, but the people who couldn't and taught were the first ones to say, this is the way you should manage your life. This is the way you should manage this disease. The guy who was going at that ski ramp at 70 miles an hour is not telling you, wear a mask and you'll be fine. They're not telling you that because that has been there. That person had to assess the risk for themselves their whole life. And they came out with a different judgment. And that's kind of the difference in this world is the people who haven't done, who haven't done these things in their life are the first ones to say, we've got to shut it down. We've got to stop it. Gavin Newsom, tell me about his football career. Tell me what he did. Tell me when he assessed damage. And the answer would be never. Well, he's lied about his baseball career. Of course he lies. But you know what? I'm not going to lie to you. But you take the LA city council. It's a bunch of ponchy middle-aged women who've never taken a risk and never built anything, never jumped on water skis. I want to hear about this water skiing because I am a, I as a guy with balance, I'm a very attracted to the water skiing. Now, first off you say getting paid. So that's like an amusement park type thing. I was a professional show skier. So places like SeaWorld and Cypress Gardens and Marine World, Africa, USA back in the day, and Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, where I skied Six Flags Magic Mountain out here in California. And we'd do these ski shows. And the more that you could do, the more money you would make. And I want to know, I got a few, I got a whole bunch of questions. Okay. I've always wanted to know how far under the water the ramp went. Well, the ramp is buoyed. I mean, so it's kind of anchored. You have the ramp that goes about maybe six inches, seven inches. Not that, not pretty, pretty close to the top. It's pretty close to the top. It kind of floats and it's anchored in place. Right. Because you don't want to catch that lip. No. That would be bad. The lip is down and you hit it. Lip is down. I always want to know how far down it was. It's just about six. Plenty far enough that you're not going to catch the tips of the skis. Right. And then the ramps were never progressive. They're always just angle seem to be. And made out of planks, I guess, back in the day. Plastic, planks, fiberglass. It's, you know, it's become a thing that the, the, the, the goal of the jump, the, the ramp is to get you up in the air as quickly as it can. How high above the water did it go? It depends. If you're doing a long jump, if you're cutting, cutting at the ramp and you're going 75, 80 miles an hour, you know, you can go up 65 feet and travel 150, 200 feet in the air. And the ramp is how high above the ramps are. The ramps that we used were either five and a half feet or six feet, the six foot one. You could get a little more lift. So if we were doing front flips and back flips, you needed a little bit more lift. To be able to get up and around the air. And that's kind of what I did. I tell a story where I missed so many front flips, learning it, that the back of the skis would slap me in the butt. And, and for the first 10, 15, I had kind of bruises on the back of my butt. By the time I did 50, I was, my butt was eggplant purple and they stuffed more padding in my wetsuit. They had to stuff it in there. And by the time I finally made one, as the book says, you know, I, I skied away, but I had so much padding in the back of my wetsuit that I looked downright and it's a very true statement because I mean, literally you couldn't do it. You couldn't bear to have the skis hit you in the butt one more time, but you did it because it was 25 bucks a week. And back in the eighties, 25 bucks a week was real money. It was enough for a lot of beer for that week. Simply safe. Well, when your home is under threat, you need more than a recording of a break in. You need it to be prevented. That's right. The guys who are doing the long jumping will hit the ramp at 70, 75 miles an hour as told by the speedometer on the boat as that's exactly right. And, um, and they would get up to 65 feet in the air and cover like 150. Sometimes the great jumpers now will do 200 plus feet. Really? Yeah. I mean, they're flying. They're there. You double the speed of the boat. The boat's going 35 and you're doubling the speed of the boat. Right. And you cut across. I've only seen ski jump. I've only seen it with two skis. I've not seen it with one ski, but I'm old Fonzie. And by the way, when Fonzie jumped the shark, right? Trace Geller was sitting home going, Oh, that is such bullshit. Total. That is total bullshit. Like when I see any movie or TV show where there's a construction site, that guy's using a finish hammer and he claims he's framing. This is bullshit. You must have real problems with Fonzie. Well, the funniest thing is that I actually had Henry Winkler on a show. This is probably 15, 16 years ago, Henry Winkler. And we talked about that. I said, listen, I was a professional water skier. You know, that was total BS. He's like, of course it was BS. We're out there. And he goes, but I did put some skis on and I did kind of get up and you know, the rest of it. No, but 49 years ago. 49 years old, by the way. Is it really? Yep. I just found that out. Oh my goodness. How old always two skis for you always two skis now uh it is there's some guys that will jump with one ski they're doing amazing things with one ski i mean it just comes so far i mean i'm going back i'm taking you back 40 years so uh you know not quite to the fonzie time but yeah i'm taking you back 40 years to the time when we used two skis and you you slalomed on one ski but for the most part the jumping was all two skis and you could do a front flip i could do a front flip i could do a back flip i mean i could do the things that i that i set my mind out to do you know because you back barefooting you get 25 bucks you know you learn the the lead doubles thing you get 25 bucks so add it on add it on to your paycheck yeah you get i think it was 250 bucks a week we were making then you add the 25s up and you make i mean for for a kid you're making decent money right you know the backflip like on a bmx bike or motocross bike it's a lot easier than it is on a bmx bike it's a lot easier than it is on a bmx bike it's a lot easier than it is on a front flip yeah because you're already halfway there the guys would do the backflips on the motorcycles pretty easily the front flip we're gonna look at a guy trying to set a record or 254 feet ah see is the record crazy this guy's hardcore let's see if he's on two skis now crazy they slow themselves down which is why they lift a ski and then you cut as hard as you can so you come back and that's flying i mean that's just to be launched just as well why they cut yep just to get the launch i mean that's the crazy stuff right there right you are if you something goes wrong i mean you are moving at uh 80 miles an hour this guy and you are flying through the air i this i would have loved this when i was young you would have i did not have any access to anything i went water skiing once and i got up on one ski the first day i did it and i could have the balance and everything but you would have needed a lake and a boat and skis and all stuff the corollas would never would never funded but you are so right in that you had to constantly assess danger and and and so there's a like a part of it where you go how about a front flip and then you go well that's potentially dangerous and it's difficult and you know inherently that you're going to miss a bunch of times before you make it right and i guess the difference between missing it and making it is the feeling of making it is is is different and and you haven't had that when you're missing you haven't had the feeling of making and then when you have the feeling but it's also a psychological thing where you go i did this yeah and it makes it easier when the skis are hitting you in the back i mean it's it's painful and you don't want to do it again and you're trying and it's actually kind of a dangerous thing because you're trying to throw it so hard that you end up going out the front now falling on your back head first and that's when you start hitting the skis and that's when you start getting in real trouble right so you know that's where you can get hurt where would you miss it i mean so you you do a front flip skis come over the back yeah and when you land how do you you do you go up you go up and you do you're you're you have a rope and a handle in your hand and so when you get to the top of the ramp you pop which means you go straight up in the air and then you pull in you tuck and you pull the rope into your stomach and you rotate and you come around and you try to you try to get a visual on the water and if you can see the water then you land it and you ski away when you learn them you know after i after i did 150 of them i started learning i might make one out of two sometimes one out of three and then i started making nine out of ten and then when you make nine out of ten very seldom do you ever miss anymore so you it becomes like it's it's second nature you pop you walk around you see the water boom you pop anything and it's an easy it's a super easy thing and you ski away it's exciting and it's adrenaline thing and that's kind of the reason that we did this as kids because we had so much damn fun out there doing these different tricks and performing and you know you'd meet people like-minded people young people that you know i still have uh friends today and it's it really is one of those things where it was one of the building times of my life you learn more the boat driver that i'm telling you about when i learned the front flips is one of the most famous stuntmen in hollywood today he lives up in malibu uh he you know he doubled harrison ford for years and years there's a chapter in the book about him and his career and it's just you know it's one of this unique bunch of character stories that that people kind of are attracted to because the guy who's doing that i mean adam you show this guy doing the 90 mile an hour at the ramp jump that's not the guy who's walking into costco with a with a mascot that's not the guy who's like oh i'm not going outside i'm not doing this he's the guy who's doing his research he's the guy who said well son of a gun badacharia says that that if you go outside that's the best place to be why are the beaches shut down that's the guy who's questioning it and that's the guy that adam i mean that that gavin newsom fears is because that's the guy who's going to have the evidence to question him and and gavin newsom is not going to have the answers the other thing that i don't think people fully understand is these experiences sort of begat the next one and what's water skiing have to do with covid well a lot more than you think because it helps you think clearly assess danger and and then also going into the next endeavor you go i did a front flip on a water ski so i think i can handle whatever this whatever it is there whatever that is the next thing and if you have to have a collection of these experiences and the experiences are sort of um vast and and and different in nature where you go yes i've had this experience like i have a i got invited to do a car race at willow springs or whatever coming up and i was like yeah i've been there i've driven that i drove a professional trans am race there i'll go see the car and then it'll be a thing where the race will be saturday and the first time i see the car will be saturday and someone will explain to me how the car works they'll go is the shift and that right and here's the thing and and i'll ask a couple of questions and then we'll go do practice and i'll i'll learn it but it's only because i've driven a whole bunch of different cars on a whole bunch of different tracks and had a bunch of experiences otherwise it'd just be overwhelming you would just show up it would be scary it'd be loud you wouldn't even know what to think and you'd have no base there's no base you have to build yourself a base of like experiences some failures um some risk some getting hit in the fanny with the skis but i mean listen the the famous uh education secretary the first drug czar in this country bill bennett who uh i talked to a lot and bill bennett's the guy who said for years and years listen it's fun to win the fight it's more important to show up for the fight because when you show up for the fight you are telling your opponent that you are willing to go toe to toe and you're willing to go face to face and you're willing to endure consequences that are going to be very uncomfortable even if you win even if you win you're going to get your butt kicked a little bit in that fight but these people like gavin newsom can you can bet your bottom dollar did not show up to the fight did not want to endure the consequences to get to the next level i mean well i think they realize pretty quickly their constituency isn't guys setting distance records on water skis it's scared women and illegals and basically all i got to do is gather up all the scared women and all the illegals and you know trace gallagher and adam carlin water skier guy can go pound sand because i'm just going to be in office for the rest of my life so they're not even trying anymore with all this you know ask not what you can do for you or any of this you know i i regret that i only have give one life for my country like oh that's all out the window that that that shit's for the water skiing guy right that's not us and all your talk about freedom or guns or whatever you want to do on the beach that i am my i am catering to scared women essentially and illegals and and some scared dudes mostly dudes that are scared of the women who they live with so that's my constituency and so i'm shutting the schools down yeah and then you go i want freedom and i go yeah but then we got a lot more scared people than we got long distance water skiing jumpers right and you would think that these people who didn't hit the ramp at 90 miles an hour whatever the speed was and they made these rules that we all followed that we're all forced to follow and they acknowledge now that those rules were mistakes and they should not have done that and they should have approached it differently and they just didn't have the information and yet they're going forward and they're making new rules and you ask them if they have the information and they don't they have nothing to offer well they didn't you learn and the answer is always what this is the way it's got to be done this is the way we've done this we've studied this you haven't you're doing the same thing that you always do again right and you're getting yourself in trouble and at some point you'll back off of it but look at cnn it's you know four years of russian collusion and steel dossier right and then they go right on into covid and then they go right on into hunter biden's laptop and and everything and everything and everything and everything and everything and in between, they just go right in, now there aren't, Now they're on AI. They're just on whatever the next scare is, you know, whatever. In between, they sprinkle in some stuff like he's building a ballroom, you know, like who cares, reflecting pond, you know, whatever. But it's mostly literally just move on to the next thing they're wrong about. But I don't blame CNN. I blame the watchers of CNN who are getting taken for a ride and they're using cognitive dissonance at this point. They don't want to know. When you start explaining stuff to them, they walk away like they don't want to know at this point. Listen, I still blame CNN because I think CNN is horrible. But what I'm saying is, I guess is what I'm saying is Coca-Cola and McDonald's are making. Kids fat, but really their business and they don't care. Right. You're going to have to start policing yourself and parenting and no, no Coke for breakfast. Sorry, nine year old boy. And no, we're not going to McDonald's after like at a certain point. It's on you. Yeah. And yes, you can still dislike Coca-Cola, but at some point you got to make a choice because they're always going to be there. I would steal your analogy. My thing, and I would steal your analogy on the beach sign. I think. CNN and Ms. Now they are the, the, the, they are the, the people behind the beach sign. They are the behind the, the, the sign that just continually has more rules on it every day. That's what they want to do. Their viewers are the ones who go to the beach and they see one more rule and like, wow, we got a new rule. That's their look forward to having rules. They look forward to not bring to me. I'm sure they're, they're following the letter of the law and that's the problem is that CNN cannot wait to add. Stuff to the beach sign and the rest of the country is like, why can't we one time just take one rule off? Let's say this, let's say that, you know, walking in pink shoes with, with, with green flippers coming out the side, wasn't really all that dangerous. Maybe we just take it off the list. We take it off the list and we trust people and we say, Ooh, be careful if you're going to wear shoes in the beach, but we don't have to have it on the list. We trust our people to do things. We are the beach capital rule committee. We are the star of the world. And yet you drive down the four Oh five, like I do coming home at night and you know, you see these cars go on 130 miles an hour and you never see anybody pulled over anymore. Why is that? Because the insurance rates are too high. The, the lawsuits are too high, so they don't pull these people over anymore because they know they're going to get sued. And so nobody gets a ticket anymore, unless you, you know, unless you can absolutely prove they did something wrong. And that's a problem. I think that's a post COVID problem where everybody gets to do what they want to do. Everybody else has to follow these narrow set of rules because that's society today. Well, look, they realized that taxpayers had checking accounts and credit cards, and then they're a bunch of illegals who are empty bags and you pull me over, you'll get paid. You pull the illegal guy over and he doesn't have that car registered and you got to pay to tow it and then you got to pay to impound it. He's never going to pick it up and he's never cutting you a check. So they figured out. Real quick, who's cutting checks and who's not cutting checks and they acted accordingly. And he's going to be back at it. He's going to be in whatever jail for the next two hours. Then he's gonna be back out. Yeah, he's a drinker. He's cost you money. That's right. I make you money. I write checks for taxes and tickets and, you know, you know, I got to get, I got to pull a permit. I got to go down and cut the Department of Building and Safety a check. Like I'm a check cutter. So basically they go, we got a group of check cutters and we got a group of. Empty bags, homeless people sleeping wherever, defecating, whatever. They don't have checked books. They're no good to us. Let's go focus on the guy trying to pull the permit or trying to get his car registered. So Corolla gets pulled over. The other guy doesn't. I mean, that's kind of what it is. They see you coming down the road like, hey, let's pull him. Well, I mean, you can find Dawson or Andrew, me and the great Gavin Newsom 14 years ago. Now, I'll let you buy. We'll play the Steve Hilton thing. I'll let you play the Steve Hilton with the small business in the shoe shoe store thing. Look, I was telling Gavin Newsom when he was sitting where you're sitting 14 years ago. You can't have these two economies. You can't have people paying insurance and mortgages and all the stuff that they all Department of Sanitation and Safety and everything and all this stuff and employees and everything. And then other guys that just selling shit on the street. It's not. It's not fair to the guys who have to pay the mortgage and pay for health care and insurance and everything else for their day. And they can never compete economically here. But Sarah just did it again. He just did it with the talk and did it again with the taco stands. And you're like, what are you doing with the people you are paying rent? They're paying rent. They are going to pay rent and the taxes and these guys are coming up, popping up, going home in three hours. And they're they're done. Well, so listen, I said at the time. At the time, 14 years ago, there's people selling flowers up and down for salon drive. What about the mom and pop flower shop down the street that has to compete with these guys? That's right. You've got to put an end to this. Now, at the time, they're writing speeding tickets to people on the other side of the street. Those are people with checking accounts. That's right. The other side is the empty bag illegal. Who's their constituency? So I said, knock it off. That was 14 years ago. Back then, it was basically flowers you could buy in the street and a bag of flowers. A bag of oranges. Now, then it's spilled into food and now you can get tacos and falafels and whatever. Now we're just at durable goods. You're going to buy your next. My prediction. My son is going to buy his washer dryer stack set off the street on Pico. Yeah. With full warranty. Yeah. From a legal like we're now selling shampoo, toothpaste and shoes. You understand? Watch this Steve Hilton clip. He's going. He's going in South LA to a brick and mortar, a guy who owns a shoe store and he's and it's empty. How are you? Welcome. Great to see you. How long you been here? 13 years. 13 years. Almost 14 years. Sometimes the business up and down. But this time it's got a big empty shoe store in South LA. There's a lot of vendors. You're talking about the street. The vendors on the street. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Can we go and have a look at them? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The people directly in front of the shoe store. This is right here. People need to see this. I mean, it's just here. Yeah. It's right there. Right here. They're 30 feet away. They're selling shoes. Everybody. Yeah. Look at that. Javier Bracero likes these people. By the way, he's, he's, he's, he's the top cop, you know, except for not, not if you're illegal and selling food or shoes. Oh no. No. By the way, everything's, pause it for a second. Everything's dangerous. But selling power tools that were stolen off a job site to table four, that's fine. And selling toothpaste and shampoo and soap and bootleg Purell from China on a sidewalk. And by the way, handing out food out in the sun, tub of mayonnaise out in the sun, making a Waldorf salad out in the sun. That's fine. But, but the beach with the Frisbee, now we've crossed the safety line. I love the drill with the bit in it. You know, you're like, oh, we're good. Why don't we just sell that? We just sell it with the bit. Just put it off. Yeah. It's a one-stop shop thing. You get the drill bit in and off you go. Look, they stole it with the bit in it and they pass along the savings. Go back 10 seconds as a, as a owner of tools. This bothers me because this is where my tools end up when they get stolen from my, from my guys. All right. Sorry. Go ahead. Makes me laugh. It's, it's unbelievable, but this is what California has become. It really has become this. When you opened your store 14 years ago, was any of this here? Oh no. No. No. Look, I understand. They want to make money. They want to. Well, I get it. That's good. That's business. But you've got to play the rules. Exactly. We call the city. They say nothing. We can do. Call the city. Your costs for this store. They don't have to pay that, right? And they don't pay. They're selling peanut butter and pancake mix. We're there. Everyone. It's, it's there. It's on. Now it's because you idiots did nothing. And if you listen to Gavin Newsom, 14 years ago, I said, there was a problem. Right. And, and it needs to be addressed. And guess what? A, he laughs at everything, which is always kind of funny. I'm like, it's not a joke. They're selling flowers illegally. But he takes the side of the guy selling the flowers. He doesn't even, but like Becerra and we'll find Becerra's tape. It's worth a replay too. But what you, here's what you need. You need the veneer of caring. And if fiduciary duty, like you go, look, you need to get up there and go, I understand this as an issue. And I understand it's an issue for the people who own the flower store. Right. And I'm going to look into this now, then you don't look into it, but you don't laugh and side with the guy, unless you're in a super majority state. Here's how bad it gets. I mean, I have a guy that I know in Manhattan beach who owns a restaurant in Manhattan beach. I'm not going to sell you which one, but he literally is sitting there one day and he says, some guy from the city is coming over and he's looks at the guys under the table. Like, what are you looking for, sir? What are you measuring? What's going on here? And he says, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not doing anything I'm actually measuring to see if your chairs. are too far out into the sidewalk area that we need to slide them back in you need to make sure that these chairs don't go by you've got you've got people selling stuff around them that nobody says a word to and you've got inspectors coming over and checking to see if chairs on your patio are encroaching too far into the sidewalk it's not well so blow up this picture i want to see what they're selling on the street but so listen trace it's not let me explain you go to tijuana and it's a free-for-all cops on cop bikes riding wheelies down the street okay fine so in a free-for-all city you guys sell whatever you want on the street and then you owner restaurant put your chairs wherever the fuck you want because it's a free-for-all and by the way me who wants to build a master bedroom on the side of my house i don't need a permit we're in a free-for-all state right this is not that this is free-for-all if you're here illegally if you're paying taxes it's a clamp down state all right let's see if we can see what's what they're selling on these a lot of like oh they're selling pharmaceuticals they're selling like creams and sobs and lozenges and right they're selling things you put in your mouth for ailments jesus christ everybody we've looked that's right they're they're selling stuff you buy at a pharmacy on the street and wide open and no one said by the way dr drew was saying to me he goes you're going down to sofi dude selling tall boys at takati i said hold on drew it's tall boys at takati on sofi property you're going down to sofi and they're selling stuff you buy at a pharmacy on the street and wide open and no one said by the way dr drew was saying to me he goes you're going down to sofi dude selling tall boys at takati i said hold on drew it's tall boys at takati on sofi property in front of cops who are just standing there. That's exactly right. And not only that, I was there two, three years ago. You could get a shot of Cuervo from the same dude in the parking lot. For a couple of bucks. You can negotiate a couple of bucks, five bucks, get a shot of Cuervo. Next to the cops. It's $22 inside SoFi. The beers are $20. They're $6 on the thing. And guess what? Who's going out and who's going to get a couple of beers going in? They're going to get them at the carts where they're cheaper, and they're going to sit there and they're going to drink the beers. Until the cop walks over and says, oh, by the way, you can't drink outside. Yes. You've got to move into the tailgate section if you're going to drink outside. And you think, oh, so the guy can sell them outside, but I can't drink them outside. What is going on? Oh, and by the way, if you're leaving the game and you're driving home and you've got a Miller Lite between your legs and you get pulled over, you're going to be in deep, deep doo-doo. Hollywood Bowl last week? What are you saying to me, Andrew? I don't know. Everyone thinks I can read the screen. I don't know how many times I can tell you. This is a full bar some guy set up. Oh, outside the Hollywood Bowl. Okay, yeah, just set up a bar outside the Hollywood Bowl. There's nothing to do. All right, but let's listen to the great Gavin Newsom 14 years ago where I'm trying to explain to him this is a problem. Let's see what his reaction is to me and this problem. If you're ready, Andrew. Go ahead. It doesn't seem like you're ready, but if you're ready, you can play it. Stand by. When we need to be on the screen, right? Got it? Or not? Hold on. I got it over here. Oh, okay. You play, Dawson. Well, I don't know why it's not playing. Oh, well, maybe it's a computer glitch. The good news is, is I can talk. We got it. We can double. Here we go. Can you hear that? Mm-hmm. Every time I drive home, I drive home down Forest Lawn Boulevard or Forest Lawn Drive, there's illegals selling flowers. There's a big mess, a big pile. There's this whole underground culture. Everyone's selling. There's a pile of garbage, by the way. Those are all the flower boxes they use. That's not good. And then I can show you a picture of the guys selling the flowers illegally. By the way, it's not going into the coffers of the state. They just sell illegally. I can show you a picture of a highway patrolman, a California highway patrolman, giving out a chicken shit ticket for rolling through a right, rolling there. Oh, there he is. Now, just beyond him is all the illegals doing their illegal business. But what are we focusing on, Gavin? We're focusing on the guy who didn't come to a complete stop. We should bring him in. I have a CHP officer with me. You should bring him in. We could talk about this. Bring him in. Non-answer. Look, that poor guy in the corner is selling something that people apparently want. I pause it. Those flowers. I mean, I don't know. He's selling. He's a poor guy. He's selling. He's an illegal. But he's a poor guy who he likes. He feels sorry for him. But he's selling something people apparently want. Yeah. People want heroin. Yeah. People want child pornography. People want Tecate beers for $3 versus $28. That's right. Yeah. People want all these things, Gavin. People want to drive without their seatbelts. People want to go 150 miles an hour instead of a bang. Apparently, people want these things. Yeah. Okay. Well, and if you're not paying taxes, you can have those things. And if you are paying taxes, you can't have those things. Guess what else people want? They'd like to add a deck onto their house and not pull a fucking permit. Right. How about that? That's something people want, don't they? They'd like to have their chair in the restaurant just an inch. Your friend wants that. Does he not? He wants another inch. He's just looking to say if he's not comfortable, we can add a third chair and you can sit and have lunch here without having the inspector come and tell you that you're breaking the law and you need to move your chair in. How about restaurants? There are restaurants that don't have a liquor license who still want to have a full bar. Don't they want that? Right. All right. Let's listen to the great Gavin Newsom. Those flowers. I mean, I'm a little sympathetic to that. You know who doesn't want it? The guy doesn't want it. He's sympathetic. The guy who owns the flower store a mile away. Well, there's competition. So, you know, it's making those flower stores more aggressive. All right. So, you sell wine over here. Pause it. All right. Yeah. It's making the flower stores more aggressive. Yeah. So, you sell $5 to Cotty on the street and SoFi is going to have to sell it for $5. Right. They can't do it. They have overhead. Right. They have the rent. That's the whole thing is these people are not paying rent. They are not paying the day-to-day things they're supposed to pay. And yet the politicians are like, oh, good for them. It's not even. I mean, yes, it is the rent, but it's like insurance and permits and it's everything. And is somebody actually measuring their chairs or their things while they're in the middle of the street to see if they're too far out in the street? No, because everything about it is illegal, much less the chairs that they're associated with. All right. We'll keep playing. Sorry. It's fun. Flower stores more aggressive. You sell wine over here, but we've got a Mexican who makes his own wine. He's going to stand down the street from your wine store. I admire the small business person. The entrepreneur gets up, tries to sell a thing or two and wants to make it. I'm a small business owner. He feeds their family, working hard. At least those guys are out there working hard. Oh, listen. Here's Joe from the CHP. Who else is working hard? The CHP is working hard. Look, here's a living, breathing member of the California Highway Patrol. Joe, first off, bigger criminal. Illegal alien or somebody rolls through a four-way stop sign in a soccer van. Be careful, Joe. You're representing the good people at CHP. All right. Anyway, he turned it into a joke. He doesn't care. No. And if he sides with anyone, he sides for the illegal, which he calls an entrepreneur and a small business owner. Yeah. He doesn't call the person that has a flower shop a small business owner and employees who pays taxes. No. No. You bring up rent, but what about taxes? He's paying taxes. That guy's not a small business owner or an entrepreneur. The guy who's here illegally who sets up a card table and sells stuff on the street is an entrepreneur in a car. So those are the guys making the rules. So good fucking luck, everybody. But the problem is, is that California and Gavin Newsom and the lawmakers in this state are not just saying, okay, we're, oh, we support this guy in the small business. They are incentivizing these people to come here and start their own small business because of these sanctuary laws and the benefits that you get. You get all the benefits. You get all the benefits that anybody gets, and you don't have to pay anything for it because we have these sanctuary laws where you are protected from police. You are able to get these benefits that we offer you, health care, so on and so forth. And for that, all you have to do is pick a spot, put up a business, and off you go. They say put up a business, but it says put up a tent. Put up a tent, put up anything you want to and sell whatever you want. And then at the end of the day, you pack it up, you put it in the back of your car, and off you go home, and it's a great, next, and it's not busy enough. We'll pick a new spot next year. Well, imagine, and you can find Becerra maybe talking tacos, which is great, because this is the guy who's going to replace Gavin Newsom as a dumber Mexican version of Gavin Newsom when he's talking about tacos. But could you imagine a business where you just went, look, you don't have to pay rent, no mortgage or rent, employees, insurance, and taxes. You don't have to do any of that stuff, and you can just run a business. You go, that's the greatest business. I don't care if you sell candles. You have a huge advantage over everyone else who sells candles. And if his business is slow, you don't attract people to you. You go to them. You go to where they are. You aren't stuck in a building that you have to pay rent on. You get to move your business wherever you want to move it. Go in front of that shoe store with your shoes. There you go. All right, here's the retarded person that's going to replace Gavin Newsom and his plan for street vendors. Whether you are new to our state and visiting, and we hope you do, spend some money, and if you're going to buy a street taco, buy a real street taco, not something from one of these, you know. I can't speak, by the way. I'll leave it at that. All I know is that there's real food in California, and there are real street tacos, and you don't get them in some establishment that's been around for a long time. You get it on the street from the guy who's been making it for a long time in his little cart. All right. So you don't get it from El Coyote, established in 1964. You can't get real tacos indoors. Nope. You don't want to go there? You can't get it from some place that's been passed down through a family, and it has health inspectors, and you charge up the wazoo to do business in a liquor license. Do not get it there. Get it from an illegal with a shopping cart that has a propane tank on it. That's right. That's where you get it. This guy, Becerra, may be dumber than Newsom. And Newsom's not dumb. He's a sociopath. But Becerra's just dumb, pandering, something. He's pandering, but he gets himself in trouble, which is why he's a sociopath. Which is why he's now running the equivalent of the Joe Biden basement campaign, where you don't see him. He's not out. He's not making comments, because he knows somebody sees a D next to a name that says governor, and they're going to check the D in California. That's what most of the oddsmakers say. So Becerra's like, you know what? Play it low. Every time you get up and you say something publicly, you come across like that. You're saying the wrong thing. So just stay quiet, stay away from the cameras, and you'll win this governor's race. That's what he's being told. I know. That's what Joe Biden did. Trace, always a great pleasure catching up with you. Thank you, Adam. I appreciate it. That's the name of the book from the multi-talented Trace Gallagher. It's time to check Adam's voicemail. Yeah, hi there, Adam. This is Harry in Canada. I like listening to your show. I'm watching the clip where you're trying to think of a catchy rhyme for using a blinker. You get people to do that. And I got something for you, very simple. Just quote, be a thinker, use your blinker. Okay, there you go. This is Harry up in New Brunswick, Canada. I like your show. Take care. You can leave us a message at 888-634-1744. Thanks, Harry. And you know, it's funny. His name's Harry Dawson because I was thinking moments ago I was doing a TV show You can start the clock, Chuck. And I had the sound girl was a woman of color, and she was shortish. And she had very, very long, both the sound girls had very, very long braided hair, like way, way past their waist. Okay. And they were shortish. So they were like 5'4", but their hair was like 4'2", or something. I mean. It was this way. And we were like, I was having like a problem with my mic pack or something. And so the mic, what they do, the sound person, and for people who are listening, they drop the cord down your shirt, and they hook it up on your collar, and then they pull it down out your shirt, and then they plug it into the mic pack. They always have an extra 11 feet of cord that they don't know what to do with. I don't know why. You know, the mic is always underneath your chin. And the pack is. It's always on your belt. I don't know why we need 14 foot of cord. How far can your mouth get from your fucking belt? And it's always, you always have to wrap it around seven times, or they do a thing where they go, they put it in your thing, and then at some point it'll pop out, and it'll be a big thing, a cord, drag around. They'll go, take the cord and put it in your pocket. How about someone make a cord that's not 14 feet long? I mean, worst case scenario, Shaq comes in there. Yeah. Worst case. That's probably. The greatest distance you'll have. That's it. Most of them are just like young starlets, you know, little petite, little blonde girls and stuff. They always need an extra 12 feet of cord, and they never know what to do with the cord. They wrap it around the pack, but it always pops off because there's no modality for it. No one's invented a cord clip or a wrapper thing or anything. And then you have to shove all the extra down your pants. You bring it back. That's a really good point. What is Shaq? Seven feet? Seven. So if we're going, half of his body, it's a little less than half his body. The maximum amount that cable should be, needs to be, is three and a half feet. Yeah. Now you move it around the back, and you put it on the small of his back if you want. I don't like it there because you sit on it, basically. But fine. But why is it 11 feet? Yeah. Okay. Okay. But that's not my problem. Here's my problem. I can sidetrack myself with a secondary rant in the middle of my initial complaint. Both these women had super long braided hair that were sort of like back in the day, for some reason, it was flashy. It was trending in the 70s to instead of having a door from one room to the other, they'd hang these beads. I don't know what the beads did. They didn't keep mosquitoes out. You couldn't fuck in the room and have your roommate sitting on the other side of the beads. There's nothing. It was just annoying. But it was like those beads. That was the doorway into the pot room. Right. Into the strands and strands. It was like that. So at some point, the mic pack, I got a problem with the mic pack and she's over me and she's futzing with the mic pack. But her hair is all over us in the mic pack, too, because it's hanging all over the place and the cord in the hair. And then she's like she's wearing like a weird talkie clip thing on her thing that she can talk to the booth with. And that has a cord and a thing going down to it. Now the hair is getting tangled up in this and that. Also, it's kind of weird. I mean, I'm not a germaphobic or anything, but I don't like like when when there's the dude with the big ponytail that comes in after the show. It's like, let's get a picture. And he puts his arm around. I don't like putting my arm on your ponytail. I don't. It's weird to me. But OK. Someone else's hair. Well, now her hair is all dangling all over the pack and her clip and the cord and everything else. And I just thought, you know, you're allowed to have whatever hair you want. But if you work at a chicken processing plant, you're not allowed to have your hair hanging on the conveyor belt. Like you got to put a hairnet on. You got my thing is like have whatever hair you want, but you got to bag it or whatever it is you got to do. You got to do something with the hair together. You got to do something with the hair on the job site because it's flopping around and it's in everyone's shit. And here's what I'm saying. That people never understand when all they do is talk about our racist society. If that was the equivalent on a white dude, someone would come up to that white dude and go, hey, man, you got to tuck it up. Get up fucking scrunchie and put it on there. Right. That's a black chick. No one's going to go up and start the guys who would go up and tell her about her hair or middle aged white dudes. And they can go in there. What is that? Unintended consequences. That's right. All right. Oh, speaking of that. That or intended consequence. I just read a text from Ball Brian's wife, Christy, and the movie screening is sold out. Good. So she thanked us and those who retweeted and all that for Ball Brian's doc, which will be on Saturday. I will be there with Chris locks him on. They are sold out. All right. All right. The view host, the view co-host, Sonny Hauston. She's wonderful. She revealed on Tuesday on The View. Back in 1991, there was a trial of a notorious New York City cannibal killer called the Butcher of Tompkins Square Park. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity. And it's because Sonny Hauston was the one holdout juror that would not convict the guy. She talked about it on The View. Here's her saying. She said that and then she sort of said she convinced everyone after that. But let's see. The insanity defense has been around in Massachusetts for 182 years. So I think it's well established. And I thought absolutely that she was not criminally responsible by reason of insanity. And the reason I felt that I feel so strongly about this holdout juror is because I was a holdout juror in a case. In the Daniel Rakowitz case. I don't know if people remember it. The Butcher of Tompkins Square Park. It was in 1990. The guy who ate the victims? Yes. You were on that jury? Yes. You're going to need to explain. Yes. Yes. You're going to need to explain more. Yes, I was. Were you on the jury already? It was before I went to law school. Oh, because I would have never put you on the jury. And when I brought it up at the Hot Topics meeting, I don't think everyone believed me. And then my producer looked it up. And I'm in the New York Times. Oh, and that producer's in meetings? And apparently several jurors questioned afterwards said one holdout juror was principally responsible. A son-in-law. Preventing them from returning a guilty verdict. That was me. And it was because I saw clearly that he was. Psychotic. Of course. He was in a psychosis. He did not mean to kill her. And once he killed her, he panicked. He chopped up her body parts. Yes. Boiled her body parts. Tried to commit the perfect crime. And then fed her. And you got this guy off? No. No. No. All right. Pause it there for a second. He made soup out of her head. Really? And fed it to homeless people. I kind of like that. I kind of like it too. All right. Here's what I'm saying. So my feeling with people is sort of like dogs in that people go, well, you know, the dog was scared and, you know, he didn't know what he was doing. And that's why I mauled the four-year-old and she's dead. You know? And I go, well, we got to put the dog down. They go, yeah, but he was scared. You know? And I go, yeah, I don't. It doesn't really. Yeah. But he's good with his owner. You know? Yeah, I know. But he mauled the four-year-old. So we got to put him down. And I, let's, we can solve all this by putting him down. Putting these people down, you know, you go, well, he's insane. Why should he be locked up for the rest of his life? Okay. Let's put him down either way. Here's the thing. Your argument of he killed this guy and made a skull soup out of him, but he didn't know what he was doing. It's actually more dangerous than a contract killer. You know, if you're a contract killer, you just owe the mafia some money. You didn't pay up. Now you got a bullet in your head, but it wasn't, has nothing to do with me. But if, but the random killer people, we got to put them down. That's all. We'll just, we'll use them. You know what we'll do? You know, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to amend one of my things. Andrew, you didn't know my policy about dogs at the airport and how everyone bringing their dogs at the airport and they're shitting all over the airport and they're calling them, calling them service dogs. And the way to prevent this is to randomly stop people at the airport with their bullshit service dogs. And ask for real paperwork. And if they don't have real paperwork, we confiscate the dog and we use the dog to test metallurgy and jet engines. Now, jet engines have to be tested against bird strikes. And so what they do right now is they take a big frozen chicken and they put it into an air cannon and they spool that thing up. They fire it right at that jet just to see if the impeller and the propeller can take a bird strike. But we're going to do a dog strike. Yeah. Your dog would be perfect, Andrew. You got that little. You got those little itty bitty dogs. And what we're going to do is. Lucy would be great. Lucy would be. Lucy would be awesome. She would get in there. Would she be like 14 pounds? She'd be amazing. She'd get the job done. She's a great dog. She's super smart. Is that like 14 pounds? How much does Lucy weigh? She's like 11 pounds. Perfect. Yeah. Perfect bird weight. And I will then conduct the experiment. And what will happen is, is all you people be in the airport, you'll be watching CNN. And all of a sudden it'll get fuzzy and grainy like those 80 movies where they're like, I've taken control of your TV set. You know, Max Headroom is here. We are in control. And then I pop up and I go, hey everybody, it's Adam Carolla. You know him from the Man Show and Loveline. Everyone's like, what's he doing? Hey, quick experiment. I know a lot of you folks are here. A lot of you folks like to travel with your dog for free. That bothers a lot of other folks who don't travel with their dogs. You don't want to sit next to your gas box shedding dander on a fucking flight. And you got a bullshit note from your doctor. But I'll tell you what, we got a new policy here. Now, I went ahead and stopped randomly an elderly woman who was traveling with a small dog. And it turns out she didn't have property. She didn't have proper paperwork. She just wanted to travel with her dog. She wasn't blind. She didn't have any ailments. I'll tell you what we're going to do. We're going to take this dog. Why should we sacrifice a chicken? You know, that chicken could go to Zancou or Kukuru. We're going to go ahead and put it in. You're flying airplanes. Safety is paramount. Metallurgy needs to be tested. I'll put it in the air cannon. We're just going to go ahead and fire that thing up. Let's get that 777 Rolls-Royce engine spooled up to about 5,000 RPM. And when I say the word 777, I mean 777. When I say the word, we fire this guy. Oh, by the way, we have the owner of the dog. Come here. She's a hay pateer. She's begging. She's begging. Like, hey, bitch, you should have thought of that before you brought your fucking piece of shit to the airport. No, don't do anything. I can't be bought. Five, four, everyone, count down with me at the airport. Where we are. Three, two, one. And I pull the air can thing, and we fire Fluffy right in the brow. And the dog just evaporates. It's just pink mist comes out back, and she falls to her knees. I tell the camera, stay on her. Stay on her. She's a heap. I don't even want to go to Atlanta anymore. Good bitch. Go home. And then I look right down the lens, and I go, any questions? And we go back to CNN. Okay. I think that would prevent this. But now I have a new use for crazy killers. We're going to use them in the air cannon. Now, we're going to test that metallurgy on a crazy cannibal, and we're going to go in that direction, Dawson. What do you think of that? Well, I think it's overkill in the testing thing. You're never going to find a bird in the sky that is the size of. A cannibal? Yeah. Well, the way you stress something is you keep going. You know, when you're trying to test a 400-pound ladder, you don't put 395 on it. That's right. You put 700 pounds on it. You see when it breaks. Yeah. Well, we chop them into bits, like he did. Yeah. Okay. And we fire it. Okay. We'll do it that way. Let's see if we can take the meaty part of this, guys. thigh. Right. Yeah. Mm hmm. And save the chicken for the soup. Save the chicken for the soup. All right. Wait, Sonny Scott Moore. Sorry. That's how much I believe in the insanity defense. And he fed her body parts to the unhoused. The unhoused. I don't need to be around. But all that being said, it was so clear to me in the jury. And we were sequestered for nine days. One juror threw a chair at me. They were so angry with me. But one by one, I picked them off. And said, what about this? What about that? And we ended up all 12 unanimously voting that he was not criminally responsible. Now, let's get back to your family owning slaves. Yeah. Can we get back to that? By the way, everyone claim who's claimed they've had a chair thrown at them never gets hit by the chair. Right. Right. If I throw a chair at someone, I'm going to find it's Mark. I will hit you with that chair. They always had a chair. You know what they had? Some guy got pissed off and pushed his chair back or something. And then she then turns that. Or he just got up too fast because lunch was here. Yeah. There we go. This guy threw a chair at me. Yeah. And here's the scar on my forehead to show you where that chair hit. Right. It's always threw a chair at you. Right. Just like your kids were discriminated against at school. Right. Okay. Representative Pramila Jayapal said on Monday that more women should help negotiate peace agreements, arguing that they tend to be better negotiators than men. They're not better. What they don't realize is men give up. So it's not really a negotiation. You just learn with women. Fuck it. I don't want to get into this. But it's not a winning of a negotiation. It's just guys being beaten down where they just go, do you want to get into this? Well, you know what I mean? I parked in the middle of the driveway again. I couldn't fit my car in. I'll just go move your car. But that's not winning a negotiation. That's me being beaten down. That's me just going out of the fucking. I'm not getting it. Right. Yeah. So she's got thoughts about women. Let's see what she says here. War and the burdens of war fall primarily on women and families. And the research shows that if we have. Hold on. You know those women soldiers who died in World War II in Vietnam? All those women. Yeah. Primarily. Okay. Well, hold on Dawson. There were some, there were guys who died. Mostly in, you know, Jeep accidents and stuff, not in battle. But there were dudes. I can't think any off the top of my head. But if you were going to build a memorial for World War II, sure it'd be predominantly women, but you'd have to have a guy in there with like a chef's hat on or something. You know what I mean? Like the oven exploded on that battleship and he was taken out, you know? Like under siege or something. So you can't say all. That's fair. You're right. You can't say all. You're right. Yeah. There's some guys. And there were guys ranked as high as. Captain? I don't know if they got that high, but like sergeants and stuff. Okay. I mean, obviously not any tacticians or anything. Just keeping in charge of the gear and stuff. You're right. Keeping things clean. In the rear with the gear. It was a whole supply chain. You know, it's not just about firing bullets. Sure, those women are heroes, but they got to be fed. Jeez. Good night. Okay. So like in war, people take the brunt. Okay. Yeah. Here we go. More women diplomats, peacemakers, you know, women were more involved in the peace process. The research shows that peace agreements lasting more than two years goes up by 20%. What research? Just by having women negotiating those peace agreements, and it's why I'm so thrilled to see this room. Why do chicks hate each other so much and dudes can get along then? I mean, I think women tend to be much better negotiators. Bullshit. All right. Hold on. Pause it for a second. Isn't it? What a retard. I get it. But wouldn't it be weird if you just went through your whole life talking about your gender and then talking about your ethnicity? Yeah. Because 82% of her waking moment is gender and ethnicity about her talk. And is there anything that would be more boring? Like, I just watched a Norm Macdonald doc. Imagine if me and Norm just got together and we just talked about, you're white, right? Yeah. I'm a dude. You're a dude. Yeah. What's that like? Yeah. What's that like for you? What's your lived experience? My lived experience as a white male? As a white. Well, you're a white male too. I am. Well, tell us about that. I can relate to that, as a white male. That's all we talk about. It would be the most boring fucking thing in the world. It's all they have. It's like, I'm a woman and I'm a woman of color and no one gives a fuck in this day and age, what color you are or what your gender is, unless you try to invade the locker room and you're a dude calling yourself a woman, but that's your whole fucking life. Like, can you get into crocheting or something? The great Trace Gallagher, water skiing, live it, love it, do something. Just sitting around and talking about your fucking ethnicity and your gender. The two things you did nothing to earn. See, you want to talk, let me explain stuff, Dawson. Chuck, let me tell you stuff, how stuff works. If, you know, people come in and they go, oh, this is pretty cool. You got your own space here and you, and then I go, yes. I bought this warehouse 25 years ago and then I built all these studios and offices and yes, it feels good to come here. If the answer was my dad bought me this warehouse 25 years ago and then my dad paid guys to build everything in here, I'd still have a warehouse, but it wouldn't really be a good story and I really wouldn't want to share it with someone. Sure. You being born with a vagina and dark skin. You had nothing to do with, at least if my dad bought me all this shit, I could go. You know what? I was always a good dude. And later on when he got sick, I took care of him. And before he died, he bought me a warehouse and built me a studio. At least there is nothing you had less to do with than your gender and your ethnicity. Now you win a car race or you win a prize or an arm wrestling competition. Or you finish a zoo at Farrell's or whatever it is, that's an accomplishment. And God forbid or God help you if something happens, good or bad. But either way, there's a lot of things you can hang your hat on. But you being black or you being Middle Eastern or you being a dude or you being a woman is zero accomplishment. It has nothing to do with you. So shut the fuck up. Just shut up about it. Yeah. Just fucking go out. win something and do something. And make something. And create something. And stop fucking talking about your skin color. Who gives a fuck? That's all they do. Sunny Hauston. I would like to create a ticker like the amount of, like the national debt ticker they'll have up. Or amount of people killed by cigarette smoke. Of the time Sunny Hauston has said, as a woman, as a woman of color, shut up, bitch. You have nothing to do with any of that. Oh, well, why don't we just, you know, add something to do with that. Your ancestors, your great-grandfather and your grandfather, who owned slaves? Them. Why don't we talk to them about their ancestry? Just shut up, everybody. No one gives a fuck where you're from. No one gives a fuck where you come from. And you having a vagina versus a penis is fucking luck of the draw. Cosmically luck of the draw. No one gives a fuck. You did nothing. It means your parents fucked and didn't abort you. Your dad didn't pull out. Yeah. Great. Now what's next? Ugh. All right. Go ahead. All right. Dave Matthews. It's weird that Dave Matthews is such a fucking pussy. He's such a pussy. But it's weird because I like Dave Matthews. He seems like a fun guy, but he's such a puss. Right. But he's decided to share his political opinions on stage at a concert recently. Here we go. Dave Matthews. Atta boy. Dave. And other than this, I feel like I would like Dave Matthews. I said it last night, but I'll say it again. Man, I'm so tired of this fucking president. Yeah. Dumb shits. Hold on. Hold on. You want a brain-dead president like Biden or an imbecile like Kamala? Yeah. The whole thing is, these guys always act like we're going to dig up Abe Lincoln and reanimate him. Like, we're going full presidential Jurassic Park. Like, we just went ahead and pulled everyone off of Mount Rushmore, and hell, we got Gandhi in here. Someone went and found Jesus Christ's tomb, and we pulled him up, and we reanimated everybody, and now these are our choices. Your choices are Joe Biden, who's a serial liar, who's brain-dead, who's not running his own cabinet. Right. And his cabinet was making all the decisions. And he's a sociopathic liar with a corrupt junkie son who travels to all the bad actors And a power-hungry wife who didn't want to leave the White House. Yes. And they'll run the country into the ground. Or you can have Kamala Harris, who is stupid, vapid, sort of, she's super left-wing but has to pretend like she's somewhere around the middle, and she has zero thoughts about anything. Those are your choices. It's not George Washington. And it's not Abe Lincoln. It's not Margaret Thatcher. And it's not whoever you think the smartest. It's not Sigmund Freud. And it's not even Jimi Hendrix. It's anyone who's coming. It's not Carl Sagan. It's these two retarded people who you get to choose from. And now you can explain to me why the guy who doesn't sleep, who's always trying to fix shit, is worse than the two retarded people who sleep all day. Yeah. All right. And have never been to the border. Do you just want a fucking wide-open border? Or do you like the border being closed? All right. But let's hear Dave. One more time. Sorry. Oh, that's it. That's all I said. That's all I have. All right. He's- Excuse me. All right. What else do you got? All right. So next, Karen Bass put out an announcement on X recently. Spencer Pratt took note of it. Karen Bass said that we don't need an election. Because a Republican cannot win. And Javier Becerra is already the governor. Let's see what Karen Bass says here. And this is the real problem with California and one-party rule. Yes. All they needed to see was the R behind his name. That's why the governor's race right now is over. Our governor's name is Javier Becerra. You don't need an election on November 3rd. A Republican cannot. Win in this state. And yet, a Republican with a British accent? Oh, I know, right? Oh, what about your commie accent? All right. Hold on a second. What's funny about that? With a British accent, soul sisters! I'm just going to fucking sister it up a little because I'm talking to black chicks. Yeah. I thought, first off, I don't know. Is that some form of discrimination? He's got a British accent. Also, British accent is the go-to accent for all smart things in outer space. And all smart computers and all that kind of shit. When they do a commercial and there's a voiceover thing for, like, a car commercial, they'll use the British check because it makes a car seem smarter. Yeah. All right. But anyway, I don't know what her point was with the British accent. But to be fair, she doesn't know what the fuck she's talking about either. Becerra's dumb, obviously. And also, it's kind of a weird tell where you go, our city is shit. Our state is shit. People are fleeing our city. And our. Our state. And they're like, you think a Republican's ever going to. It's like, well, I don't know. If your city is shit and all you do is have super majority Democrat in your city shit, then maybe a Republican would be a good choice. Or let's not even call it Republican. Let's call it something other than Democrat. Which is what I would do if I had a coach that was perpetually NFL coach. He was 2 and 15. He was 2 and 15 for the last 30 years. Right? And then I know there used to be six in games. Anyway, he's 2 and 15 for the last 10 years. And then somebody goes, how about we get a new head coach? I'd go, where's he from? I don't know. Where did he. What college did he coach? I don't know. Was he like a defensive coordinator? I don't know. Here's what we do know. 2 and 15. That's all we know. Right. Then my choice would be, take the guy I've never heard of. Take the guy I've never heard of. Because what could be worse than 2 and 15 for the last decade? That's my argument. Apparently, it's got to get much worse here in California for anyone to fucking wake up. But here's what Spencer Pratt said. He said, this is what happens when you have one party rule. These politicians take you for granted. Don't even try to earn your vote. Becerra isn't even campaigning. And he probably won't even debate until most of the mail-in ballots are already sent. If you Democrats actually want. If you want your politicians to do something for you, you need to hand them a loss once in a while to keep them honest so they actually try to earn your vote. That's what I say about women who fake their orgasms. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Throw in the, you know, it just didn't get me this time on. Yeah. I'll believe you forever. Right. If I'm 150,000 and 0, I might get suspicious. Yep. But every once in a while, ladies, hold it back and just go, you know, I was watching Oprah and they had that lady on. I got her face taken off. I got her face taken off by the monkey and I can't, I just, it keeps going through my mind, man. I just can't get my fucking head right. Right. And then I'll go, all right. All right. And then you can fake the next nine in a row. Right. And I'm going to believe you. Smart. Yep. Hilton's right. I'm not sure what to take of this next story. KTLA is reporting it according to a poll done by UC Berkeley. Nithya Raman has a sizable lead now over KTLA. Karen Bass. I was talking to Andrew about this. The, the thing with Biden or Karen Bass or, or even you'll see it now with Kamala Harris. It's not the right going. It's not Fox news. It's not the right. It's when the left turns on their person. Like when the left is like, all right, we're done with Biden. Everyone done with Biden. All right. No more good shit about Biden. It's messy. All right. Remember, everybody was just saying that he was. He was fine and there's no cognition problem and everything. All right. He's done. And when they go on you, then it's done. So like weird scandal thing starts coming out or something. That's the left. The left controls all the media and they control the narratives and they do all this stuff. So this is at some point the left going, we don't want Karen Bass anymore. That's what it is. Exactly. It's not Trace Gallagher over at Fox. Karen Bass is probably not as extreme. Right. We want, we want a socialist. Full on socialist. We want full on socialist. They're bad breakers. Bigger uppers. That's it. Right. So they're just going to go. We're going to turn like, remember, um, Swalwell soon as Swalwell at some point with Swalwell, they just want to get rid of it. Right. They just want to cut him. Let all the fucking, let all the secrets out. Fuck this guy. He's gone. He's a liability. That was so satisfying. I know, but you come. So she's, I think they're like, let's get, let's go. We're going socialist. And by the way, it's going to be awesome. Cause the two biggest cities in the United States, New York and LA, the ones that, or all this shit happens are going to have two Brown people, socialists running them into the ground. It's going to be fucking awesome. It's a new day. Here we go. Here we go. So yeah, I think maybe they, they got rid of Karen Bass. By the way, the Olympics ain't going to fucking happen anyway. Whatever. They're not prepared. No, no. They don't like building stuff. No. Well, Rick Caruso maybe could have done something. All right. Tonight, flappers, Burbank. I'm not sure if Dawson's there or not. I'll be there. He'll be there. And then on the second, Casper, Wyoming. and doing a couple shows at the Rialto Theater. Summary:

FAQs

Trace uses the beach sign metaphor to illustrate how society adds more and more rules without removing existing ones, symbolizing how regulations grow increasingly complex and restrictive over time.

He argues that Newsom's actions are driven by a desire for control and fear, not science, and that these decisions lack evidence and fail to consider real-world risks or public freedom.

He emphasizes that people who take risks—like water skiers—develop better judgment and confidence, as they learn to assess danger and make informed decisions through experience and trial.

He believes that excessive safety rules, often justified as protective, actually erode personal freedom and create an environment where individuals feel controlled and fearful.

He observes that those who take risks—like athletes or water skiers—develop a deeper understanding of danger and build resilience, while those who avoid risks often rely on rules and lack real-world experience.

He claims CNN and similar outlets act like the beach sign, constantly adding new rules and fear-based narratives without removing outdated ones, shaping public perception through fear and control.
