We'll see what We'll see what gets in the way halfway, halfway through this one. Speaker 2 Yeah, see, see how we go for. Speaker 1 Sure. So tell me how you got in the pig chasing the dogs. Speaker 2 I'll be old man sort of always shot foxes when I was a kid. And then he moved up to Queensland and and my uncle had a prop, bought a property out of Texas. And so like, say sort of smashing pigs. And I was probably 7 or 8 when you first took me out. And I think I sort of got that bit of blood in my system where I was like, fuck yeah, this is it. You know, like, I don't know. It's a sort of, yeah, me, that old man and uncle really sort of started the craze And and I'm going to say fuck them for keeping that craze going because it's been expensive. I'll be over the years. Speaker 1 Oh yeah, it's dear, isn't it? Yeah, but it's. Speaker 2 Still like, yeah, one of the best hobbies I've ever done. Oh. Speaker 1 For sure, for sure. So what do you think? So obviously you started hunting with family. What do you think turned it from a bit of fun, like obviously going out and having fun, to a passionate thing where you like, I've got to keep hunting. Speaker 2 I don't know, I, if anyone asks me, I really only do it for me dogs now. Like I just love watching dogs work. I think. Like I love catching pigs and there's always been about catching pigs in my eyes. But man, there's nothing more than watching dogs work and watching, you know, dogs you're training up sort of step up be the next best thing or however it be, you know, even the improvements over time. I think that's what sort of turned it into a passion was, you know, when when I was a kid, it was sort of going out with my old man and his uncle with their dogs. And once you get your own dogs, it's just, it changes the whole perspective on it, I think. Speaker 1 Yeah. Did you find when you started your own dog, you held them back a little bit because you were hesitant on getting them hurt? Speaker 2 No, I sort of always felt my old man had plenty of dogs over the years, sort of my uncle. So I was sort of very well aware of the risk, the risks that you can take in sort of big chase and then obviously dogs ended up in sick Bay and all that type of stuff. So yeah, I was, I was very, very well open minded to it from from a very young age of that is the sport we play and they're the risks that you take so. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 I sort of always throw my dogs in the deep end and yeah, let them figure it out in a, in a Safeway, of course, but yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, I think some dogs just naturally got it some night some. Yeah, it takes a bit longer. We've that's all right. Speaker 2 That's part of the game I've seen, yeah, I've seen, I've seen dogs hit their first pig, but I've seen dogs not hit a pig for 12 months as well. So it's part part of the parcel really. Speaker 1 Yeah, I think it's got a lot to do with breed and lineage and stuff like that as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So what does it do for you? Obviously you're always working. You're always flat out. When you finally get out and you escape that rush, what is, what does pig chasing sort of mean to you? Is it because you get to wind down and is it good for your mental health? What? What is it that keeps you going with it? Speaker 2 I'd probably say like it's, I wouldn't really say it wind down because if you come out pig chasing us, you think, fuck, these boys are fucking bloomed with each other all night. Yeah, yeah, I think it's just like I do a lot of pig chasing and my best mate. So it's a lot of, you know, quality time with him and even just some of the yarns you can have, you know, like you don't really realise, but those yarns you can have while driving in, in a Ute looking for a pig can save someone's life in the day. Speaker 1 So I think it's true. Speaker 2 The mental health things I sort of do it for and I just love it. Like I just love pig tasting. It's in my blood. Like I just, yeah, absolutely. Speaker 1 Love it. Yeah, there's a lot of benefit to it, isn't there? Yeah. Speaker 2 I go mad if I don't go pig tasting in two weeks. I start like getting in the dumps and thinking oh I want to go catch a pig. Speaker 1 Yeah. Speaker 2 So fast. Yeah. Love it. Speaker 1 Even worse when you have a couple of dry runs, eh? Speaker 2 Yeah, we had a few sort of last year, Yeah. So last year we caught probably 250 or 300 pigs on the property that we live on and sort of towards the end of that coldest season we had like 4 dry runs in a row and I was thinking what the fuck's going on here? Getting real shitty. And I know a lot of fellas that like yourself. You were saying the other night when you drive from, you know, it takes you 2 hours to get home from where you go run your dogs. It takes me 5 minutes but I still get that. Fuck me, sort of. Speaker 1 You know. Speaker 2 Fucking person but. Speaker 1 Look, that's pain. It gets you going too. It makes you start questioning it. Yeah, fuck this. I'm over it. Speaker 2 Well, actually a. Speaker 1 Week later you just thought fuck I'm going Hun. Speaker 2 Yeah, I had a dry run or sort of a dry run last week. I only got 1 pig. And I don't get me wrong, I've seen plenty of pigs but they just kept putting them like putting them up. The dogs I don't know what was going on and other dogs just weren't really keen or I don't know. Oh yeah. Speaker 1 The set up and stuff. Speaker 2 Yeah. So we'll we'll try again next week. We're gonna couple of mates coming up so we'll try and have a big wait. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. So give me a bit of a rundown on your dogs that you currently got and even ones you're bringing up training. Speaker 2 Yeah, so I currently still got well for people that don't know who I am, I've I've got a dog named Callais. She's a bull Arab kelpie. Fuck, she must be Ridgeback or something. But I I bought her she's a no bloodline dog from Victoria. She was an accident leader Where the neighbours kelpie had got into this Bull Arrow Bridge backyard like yard not enough. And I bought her and she's my main dog. She she's not a find out, but fuck, she can smoke pigs. Like she just hits them like a freight train. Yeah. And then I've got I had a few dogs in between. Oh, not a few. I had a couple of dogs, but then I had another dog named Molly, which I ended up selling her on because she just really wasn't my style of dog. And she would have been better in the hands of someone else. I got rid of her and then I bought, I converted into sort of violin style dogs. So then I bought Trixie. She's a yeah, Kelpie cross. All the boys reckon she's Staffie, but I'm in denial about it. But she's definitely got Staffie in her. Yeah. And she's just a young 15 month old violin sort of fond and young bitch. She's going at a fairway. Still got a lot to learn, but very, very being a kelpie. They're very keen to learn lifetime. They're very keen to learn and very keen and easy going and teach things too. Like there's there's little. Speaker 1 Things do you think? Do you honestly think sometimes that can be a downfall with a dog too over over stimulated? Like really wanting to go too hard too quick. Speaker 2 Oh, I think it depends on your hunting style. Speaker 1 And if you're holding them back or stuff like that. Speaker 2 Yeah, so I sort of just let her go. I like, I got a couple of main dogs or Cameron's got a couple of main finding dogs and I just sort of let her go with them. And so I don't really like really, I don't run my dogs in a lead. I don't run my dogs in a clip on the Ute. I don't run them on anything like that. They're just, they won't lead the Ute sort of thing, like Trixie will lead the Ute with the other dogs. But other than that, they don't really. You could pull up to a gate with my dogs and they won't jump off or fuck around or anything. Yeah, they'll just stay on the Ute till you tell them. Speaker 1 Yeah, I wish my dogs would do that. Speaker 2 Yeah, I've seen some of my mates got dogs, you let them plop at the gate and you, you got to keep reminding dogs stay, stay and they're running around. But yeah, mine, mine, mine too don't seem to do it. Don't know why that is. I got another pup on on the go. She's 4 month old pill Red Bull Arab. So we'll see how how she goes. She might be the same as the rest of them as she fucks off from the Ute but look, it wouldn't be a bad thing because you do catch a lot of pigs in situations like that. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Surprises. Yeah, Yeah. Well, yeah. Speaker 2 Last year we we pulled up at the fence, literally come from the house paddock which is on one side of the road, come through the 1st gate into our second gate, pulled up at the second gate and one of our main dogs, Buster, had jumped off the Ute and probably flew in 180 metres and pulled up this 100K. Fucking big, tusky, tall, long, fucking black boar. Yeah, that that was like, we'll rap about that, mate. That made the night, you know what I mean? But yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 Sometimes it does pay in your favour, but sometimes it's fucking annoying when you're seeing pigs in the thermal and you're like, get on the Ute, get on the Ute. But yeah, part of the game. Speaker 1 So what thermal are you running at the moment? Speaker 2 We've currently running a hit micro FH-35, yeah, just like a first Gen one. We've probably put 2000 hours on it in the last year and a bit. Two years. Yeah, right. We are looking to upgrade. Well, I'm looking to upgrade eventually. I don't know what to go. The market for thermals now is fucking crazy. And there's obviously so many different. Yeah. So when I was sort of looking, when I first started looking, it was mainly sort of Hick micro was like the bee's knees. Well, the one that sort of stood out the most and by mate Mark who used to own Victorian Hunting Supplies, which is now Josh has it from hard hits. Speaker 1 Yeah, he. Speaker 2 He sort of said, look, I'll get you this for this price and I was like fucking run it, get it. And it's been an unreal investment, but I think it's time to step it up to a range findings style thermal where you can sort of look at them and be like, all right, they're 500 metres away instead of driving 500 metres and going fuck, these pigs are getting further away instead of getting closer, so. Speaker 1 Yeah, I had AI had a situation I was out hunting some crop with contours in it. Yeah, yeah. And, and I'm looking for the thermal and the wind was coming where the pig would have smelled us. Yeah. So I've got out of the car and I'll just started running and I knew that my dogs would follow. So I'm, I'm running down the contour and I'm looking and I'm like, yeah, I'm close to get to the next contour. I'm like, oh shit, I'm even closer. And it took me, I reckon I ran for about 500 metres. Yeah, yeah. Before I realised I'm like, fuck, they make them so much closer. Yeah. Speaker 2 We had a few problems like that. Like we got a paddock. We, it's like a honey hole and yeah, you sort of get to the top of the hill and on the back of it's like, it's like a big Ridge and then you look down, it's a big, big flat. And like we'll like get on Google Maps and be like right away we have 500 metres and we'll drive 500 metres. And I'm like, fuck, there's still like a KOA. It's just fucking yeah. Those range finders seem to be the guy. So we might look into upgrading to one of them next, I think, and spending a bit more money, of course. But yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, I just, I got AFQ 35 two .9 Yeah and I can't fold it at the moment. Speaker 2 Has that got the range Finder in it? Speaker 1 No, that doesn't have a range Finder because I was going to go the one with the range Finder, but I couldn't pass up the deal. Yeah. It's. Speaker 2 Going pretty tall, no way though I fucking find. Ran for a range Finder. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, they're pretty deep. But yeah, I couldn't pass it up. And now I don't regret it. I'm open. I'm open because I'm only really use that in a infrared one. Yeah, but I'm pretty like, I'm open to see what's out there too, because I don't really know thermals that well. All I know is you find things out in the paddock with it and that's about it. Speaker 2 Yeah, we. I used to fucking hate them. AI used to think fucking fucking. Speaker 1 Yeah, I was like that because I sort of haunted up the hills, see. So yeah, they were no good to me. But now I've sort of branched out and doing a bit here and there, they do come in handy and it just surprises you what you're actually missing like. Speaker 2 We take our thermal out every single night. We go out, pee and we've got them. Yeah, it's the first thing on the Ute is the thermal on your iPad. And like, like every time, we'd never go out without it. Like if, if it's flat or you know, I've left it in Cobra or whatever, all the way up on the farm. I, we don't even go out because it's just I reckon, and this is my strong belief on it. Is it it, it saves your dogs a lot of fucking fucking around. Yeah. And a lot of burnt out energy for no reason. Like you. You can pull up like we've got a lot of paddocks at home that are like big paddocks, big flat, open paddocks, but they're sort of like rolling hills. But you can quickly look, look around and go, oh, there's nothing there. Then you just go to the next one instead of slowly driving. Your dogs are working. Look, all most of our dogs fine off the Ute so it's not a problem. But I just feel like you're preserving your dog's energy a lot more when you've got a thermal then and you don't. And there'll be guys who disagree, like, yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. No, no, I get what you're saying. And that's what it's about. Obviously you're not. If there's a pig a Kay away, you're not going to drop your dog there and then when you can see what it's going to do and make your dog run the Kay. Are you? No. Speaker 2 100% yeah. You're going to, you're going to get as folks into it and then either if you can't pull up on it or sort of go to where you've seen it and drop your dog in a scent like yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, no, I think they're a really good tool as long as it depends what style you hunt. Like obviously I want dogs that are really handy on the nose. So I would try my hardest not to be dropping dogs right next to the pig. I'd rather put them in the right wind and let them make that decision. But like this, like we say, each to their own, However you run it, that's that's totally up to you. That's just what I like. Speaker 2 Doing yeah. So we get a lot of, it's funny because we get a lot of pigs at home in the same areas. Yeah like, like, like I said that paddock we like it's a honey hole. We used to go there last year and you'd always bound to catch a 90100K pig every time you went there. It's a bit hard going now we're in a drought. But yeah, prior to that, always catching pigs. And then like even on the other block like that, that's crossroad from the house is it's called, it's literally called paddock #2 and they're being feeding grain out there. So we every time you go there, you know you're going to see mob of pigs like yeah, they don't really like sort of fuck off too far from where they where they are. It's it's quite funny how it works. Speaker 1 Yeah, don't I? Yeah, it's. They're a creature of habit, but I think different areas too, like oh, is, is that paddock? Is it somewhere where there's a lot of feed, a lot of water or anything like? Speaker 2 That, that paddock there, it's a real soft sort of sandy paddock. So when the when it's wet, it holds its moisture for a very long time and it's not boggy. Like we've fucking flown across that paddock doing crazy speeds like chasing pigs, pissing down rain. And it gets slippery, but it's not boggy. Like if you stop, you know you're not going to get bogged. But it just seems to always produce quality pigs where there's a few properties that sort of one of that one property where they all come from them. So the paddock, the property beside it, they've got like oats here. Yeah. So they sort of come from the oats through like the fence into that paddock that we we hunt or into that block that we hunt. And they always sort of hang around and yeah, used to see like mobs of 80 and 100 out in that paddock at times like. But yeah, now since we're in a drought, it's been a bit fucking hard going. We haven't really been seeing many out there. And I think the other thing as well is like probably a cave from where it is, is storage plant. Yeah, righto. So they're sort of coming back inwards and grossed to catch them pigs, but sort of coming back and forth from there and passing through and mains these pigs, they are, they're covered in scars and yeah, look pretty, pretty gross looking. But they generally have like, good, good boys, but they just look a bit crook really. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. Sheep. Pigs, I'd say. Speaker 2 Yeah, I caught one. Fucking probably. Yeah, literally sheep, pigs. Yeah, that's what I mean. I caught one there two years, two years ago, two weeks ago. And he had fucking not massive hooks, but good sized hooks. And but he was just covered in scars. I already on his back. It was like he had some sort of staph infection or something. Yeah, my mate looked at it and said fuck, get me dogs off that fucking thing. I don't want that thing anywhere near me dogs. And yeah, true. Put up a bit of a fight. But yeah, he was, it wasn't, it wasn't like quality in a sense. Like he was a nice pig, but he wasn't quality at all. Yeah. So yeah, don't know. Speaker 1 Right, I say. Outback Pigging told me a bit about it. How'd it start? And obviously it's been a bit of a journey. Speaker 2 Yeah, 11 years now, eleven years in July. Started it when I was 14 years old. I was just a bit of a piss take. There was no real sort of market or not even market, but accounts like that back in the day where it was sort of slowly transitioning from all the bacon buses and brought up your and all them sort of magazines and Facebook pages sort of had just become sort of the next best thing. So I jumped on it as a young fellow simply because I was just so fascinated by the world of social media as we all are at that age. And it sort of hit, you know, it grew big enough pretty quick for us. But yeah, I was like, oh, she'd have got 5000 likes, you know, in the 1st 12 months and and I sort of stuck with it. Yeah, I think Facebook now is about 30, 2 or 33,000 followers serums just hit 30,000 today, the Savo. So congratulations. Yeah, big, big achievement has been a big journey. And then and I sort of didn't never really started it to make money or sell merge. It was more just to show what I was doing and what other people are doing and just to sort of community side of pig chasing really. That's all I wanted it to be. That's all I still want it to be. I just want to see people chasing pigs and yeah, yeah, obviously the last sort of 12 months it's turned more into we sell a lot more clothing now and deal with a lot more companies and have a lot more people that we obviously deal with on a daily basis, like whether it be clothing or hunting gear or product or all that type of stuff. We. Speaker 1 Or just that, even general yarn. Yeah, someone wanting to know something. Speaker 2 And that's what I was saying to you earlier, like I know a lot of people on my Instagram page on a personal level now where I can have a yarn to them or you can call them or see them and it's not awkward, you know what I mean? And that's sort of really why I sort of done it the way that I'd done it because. And I just love talking to people and love seeing what people are doing and not trying to compete and anything like that. Like it's just, to me, it's just social media is such a great platform to meet people and watch people doing what they love to do. And that's that's why we do it. Yeah, you're right. Speaker 1 A lot of people out there don't like the fact that the whole likes and followers and Instagram, people think, oh, he's just doing up for the Instagram or whatever. And but at the end of the day, if people want to see your stuff, you're doing something right. Speaker 2 Yeah, 100%, that's how 100% correct. And it's like even I've got, I've got blokes. I gotta his name is Brogan. I won't say his last name, but he's a fellow from up in Queensland and he constantly man, like is sending me videos and like some of the videos that we put up have have been like million view hits, like, yeah, crazy content. And and if you look through social media, you he is, he's he doesn't really post all that much. You just send it to me, direct to me. He you never really see him posting it, but he would just send it straight to me. Yeah. So it's just good to see that sort of world of pig chasing. I know a lot of older fellas don't really believe in all filming your dogs and this and that, but unfortunately it's 2026 and the world's changed a lot over the years as we can. Speaker 1 This is what it's come to. This is and obviously, like we spoke about before, it's all right to film as long as the dogs are sorted. Yeah, it's ethical and someone's getting in there and dispatching the pig. Speaker 2 Yeah, 100%. Speaker 1 Yeah, that's the main, main objective. But yeah, I think as long as people do the right thing, then there's there's no problem with it. Speaker 2 Oh, 100 percent, 100%, yeah, As long as you're doing it safe, humanely, ethically, whatever words you want to use. But as long as you're doing it correct and proper, where we all look like we're doing the right thing because we all in reality are, yeah, there's no I don't see any issue in in people filming, catching pigs really don't. Speaker 1 Yeah, Yep. No, I'm with you, I think. Speaker 2 That's where the world of social media has changed sort of from when I started. Obviously I've been around for doing this for 11 years now. Yeah. Is that you've never really seen much videos back then? It was mainly photos. And there's a lot more photos of people's utes with racks on it full of pigs. You are. Oh, yeah. I've got each more of them from back in the day than I do with people with actual pigs. But I feel like as a lot of these younger kids, and I'm only a young fellow myself, but a lot of these younger kids come up the quality of photos of catching pigs and the pig, you know, it's, it is absolutely 120,000% better than what it was. Speaker 1 Oh for sure, I've met a few old school fellas that have fired away albums. Speaker 2 I've got a photo album too. Speaker 1 Yeah, and there's P like there's pictures of pigs taken on like, you know. Oh, I wouldn't know exactly what the camera is, but when it's the old film and stuff like that, you know what I. Speaker 2 Mean you have wired up disposable, kind of. Speaker 1 Yeah, I've got a mate. He's his dad's unfortunately passed away, but he's a very, very well known old school hunter from the mid North Coast. Yeah, Gary Nolan. And he's going to come on and have a yarn about his old boy because obviously he's passed on, rest his soul, but he's going to come on and have a yarn about that. And like he was catching, he had a note. I won't give away too much, but he had a note in his like one of these photo albums and it said he's been out there catching pigs since I think it was 1940. I've been there up in the mountains and he pulled some fucking big pigs out of that place. Speaker 2 Yeah, and I bet you now, like it's obviously rest in peace, but if he was still alive, he'd probably say the pig population now was fucking mental. Yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, well, no one was really doing it around here when when he was doing it either. Like it wasn't. It's never been huge around here. There was a few boys older than me and a few other fellas getting into it, like when they're a bit younger, but not like this bloke. He was taking trailers up there full of dogs. Speaker 2 Yeah, right. Speaker 1 And had a heart and everything out there and was just catching proper good. Speaker 2 It would have been like the first Gen of the like pig dog and really like. Speaker 1 Oh yeah, yeah, you could. Speaker 2 Say that it would have been. Speaker 1 All around here he's like a like a legend. Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah. Speaker 1 And you don't know him if I think if you don't know him around the area I'm from, well, you got a lot to learn because I actually went hunting movies, young fella. Yeah, he's not young, he's older than me, but he's young bloke, you know. And I remember hitting the forest with him and he goes to me. If there's no pigs down here, they'll be further up. And I just looked and thought bullshit because, you know, Howard, he's hunting them. It's like it's hard going. And sure enough, no pigs where he first took me and he said they'll be up here probably 500 metres away. Bang mob of pig, pigs. And I was like, fuck it, how'd you know that? He's like, my dad studied this place religiously. Yeah. Speaker 2 Yeah. Speaker 1 I've done a lot of mountain mountain walking, like the whole lot. So I give respect to give a lot of respect to that man because yeah, hard going imagine that back in the day there was probably No 4 wheel drive. There was. Speaker 2 In 1940, you need to be rolling. Yeah. Horse and cart. Really. Yeah. Yep. So FJ Holden. Speaker 1 Yeah, I'm Cane. I'm actually really keen to do that with him, but I want to do that one in person because it's a bit bit more personal. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, I can't wait to get him on there. Speaker 2 So it sounds sick. Don't. It sounds real good. Speaker 1 Yeah, it'll be really good. It's it's unfortunate we can't have him on there. But his son, he grew up doing all his hunting with his old boys. So I like yeah, it, it's the next best thing. Speaker 2 Yeah, 100%. Speaker 1 Yeah. So I'm going to get away from that because I don't want to give too much on that. But seeing as we were talking about filming and stuff like that, I want to talk about Boar Wars because it's it's fairly new, am I right? Speaker 2 Yeah, it's only so we're only up to episode 1, So episode 2 is getting released obviously next month. Yeah, I, I don't have a date for when it's going to be released, but yeah, that's just sort of four teams that limit it out. Speaker 1 Role Can you tell us? Can you tell us who's in the Teams 18? Speaker 2 We got Bailey and Ty from Seiji Boring up in Mackay and then we've got Jay and his old man from the Sporting Boys. Boys, they're out from Sydney. They do a bit fair bit out of Goulburn and sort of all them areas, yeah. And then we got Courtney from Flinging and Swinging and her sister and mum. I believe I don't I've. Speaker 1 Seen a bit. Speaker 2 Yeah, man, she's showing, she's showing everyone that the girls can do it. And obviously there's a lot of girls out there that chase pigs. Like shout out to Miss Mack and Kobe Jade and stuff like that. They're absolutely killing it. Yeah, but and then obviously there's me and Cameron and sort of that's just Outback pigging the team Outback pigging. But it's yeah, we're all sort of really close mates. We can all call each other and, and shit talk and it's, it's mainly just trying to show everyone that like, yeah, we're just young fellas having a crack. Speaker 1 And a banner. A bit of a banner. Speaker 2 You know, obviously we're all trying to battle out to be in the number one spot different country. Like, you know, Courtney's hunting all the Lingam country, we're hunting all these rolling hills, sort of hilly country. The sporting boys, boys, they've either got crop or mountains. And then the central QLD boys have got the cane and all that sort of river country up there, which is, as we all know, big ball country. But yeah, we're sort of just battling out there. Speaker 1 To and it makes it hard with NSW too, because yeah, it's nothing to get 100K ball right there, but an 80K ball down here, you start with it. What are the the pig? Is the pigs habits changing? They'd be changing drastically out there. Speaker 2 Yeah, they're, yeah, they're getting a bit more brazen. You, you can put a Bale high out and you'll come back that night and there'll be, there'll be fucking pigs on it, 20 pigs on it. Like, and for us like mob of 20 pigs is a lot where we are. I know at West it isn't, but where we are to see 20 pigs sort of on the, on a, you know, in a paddock, it's pretty good. Like we've seen mobs of 70 and 80 before obviously. But yeah, they're definitely becoming a lot more brazen than just sauce and food pallets. Obviously we've been putting heaps of grain out for cattle and pallets and stuff like that and they're, they're just smashing into it. But I suppose with the good, the good sense of that is we've been catching a lot of young pigs lately with small, small heads, really good teeth, no hooks, but they're, you know, 7. We caught one for for bore wars and he was only very young, had a very small head on him and he went 70.1 or 71 kilos or something. Speaker 1 Yeah, they're still. Speaker 2 Pretty healthy, he's just smashing the grain or whatever he was eating. But yeah, there was a few of them we caught in the same paddock over 2 nights there and they're all, yeah, very healthy, young, mature boars. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. No, even like obviously a bit different up in the hills. We get a lot more rain and stuff like that. I rang the cocky. I rang the cocky the other day and I was like, how's it going out there? And it's even too wet to run around out there. Yeah. Speaker 2 Well, well, Hunter Valley at the moment's got a fucking a flood warning. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. And like, that's a year after we copped it over here on the mid North Coast. Like, I've never seen nothing like it. It was like hell, man. So I want to go on like a from everything down to your N Yeah, obviously don't want to know what knickers you're running. Yeah, you know what I mean. All your hunting gear, all your trackers, your plate, if you don't talk on dog boxes, if you've got like a built dog box, whatever. Speaker 2 Or I just buy the fucking whatever's on the marketplace or yeah, yeah. As for dog gear, I've run a few different plates over the years and I'm sort of pretty content happy with Fenton. She makes a plate and for for a good price, very tough, like the plate that Calais got spin on 600 pigs now and it looks brand new still. And and yeah, it's got holes and stuff in it, but nothing that pierced their skin or going through or anything. So which is very big bonus. Sort of have that bit of gear that's very strong and safe for them. Yeah, Trixie runs a JS Enterprise RIP colour. Reason I went with that is because their strap, and I don't know if other companies do this, but their centre strap is removable. Yeah, OK. So you can just pull it out of the actual colour. And I just, it's a Velcro colour and then I just put AT5T5 tracker over the top and that's sort of used as a strap. Speaker 1 Yeah, well, that's that's like, sorry to interrupt. That's like Benny from Optic at the moment. He sent me out a neckie and it is like perfect. That's obviously you got to put your arm, your strap through like it's got a hole for you put your strap through, but it's the same thing. You tighten it with the the tracking collar and it's got a building protector as well. Speaker 2 Yeah, right. That's the go. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, they're really good. Speaker 2 Yeah. So because she's a bailer, I just run her in like a JS plate and then yeah. As for handpieces and stuff, I've got a Astro 4:30. I like the buttons a bit more than the touchscreen. I've had a lot of used my uncles over the years touchscreen one. And as soon as you get a bit of water on the screen, it starts setting waypoints and it's just not my cup of tea. So I I like to stick with the buttons. So it's a Astro 4:30 with obviously long range aerial, the basic shit like screen protectors and and the cases and then yeah, T5 colours. Yeah, he's still. So I just run one on her and her she's got a, I don't know what the brand is, what the the tracker protector is, but it's just like a fucking seat belt material for the strap and then and. Speaker 2 And then As for like thermal gear, it's just as we said before, FH-34, yeah, I hit micro like a first Gen, just a standard iPad. As for knives, I've used a few over the years. I started with a Tassi Tiger knife, which look was all right, but I still I prefer a double double sided blade. So then I went to Wolf Creek, which I got from hard hits. That was just a cheap $50 knife and it's been been good. I don't really use it anymore because I when to those U cuts or whatever they're called. Yeah, righto, which is good. But yeah, there's pretty much the same as like a Van Damon or an ethnic different sort of handle. Speaker 1 Yeah, OK. Speaker 2 And then I've, if some of people that are going to listen to this have seen or know me and we'll go into the after, but there is a knife being released designed by me and my mate that have, they're actually been confirmed for being made today. And I think the whole thought of it as well is to just try and be a good affordable knife that anyone can go and buy. Yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, of course. Speaker 1 I'm, I'm yet I've got to give credit where it's due with FD because man, they're always, always had a good knife. I don't think they've ever challenged it, to be honest. It's, it's our knives are a little bit longer, not much, but the bit no longer double sided edge has like both our logos in or burnt into the actual blade, which will get changed eventually. And it has a black handle because we wanted to ethics always sort of as you said, had the blue handles. So we were like, you know what, that's their thing. We're not going to try and be them when we're not them. So we'll, yeah, we'll choose a different colour. And yeah, that's what we've done. We went with the black ones. Speaker 1 No, it's good. What? So you've got the shots, you call the shots, it's your business. Yeah. And yeah, it's just congratulations. Yeah. It's sort of like the next, next venture of, of what we're doing. I sort of gonna keep it to our own sort of stuff of we're not trying to, you know, sell chest plates of another brand or yeah, anything like that because obviously there's already a big market for that and there's people like, you know, Optic and Hard Hits and Bristle up that already do that sort sort of stuff. So he's gonna, he's gonna build a couple of them and we're just gonna, we're going on a big tour at the end of the year.
