who y'all got in here in a 3v3 luffy zoro and yamato versus naruto sasuke and sakura these are the times i wish larry was here because obviously i never finished naruto so i might be leaning on y'all too to assist with some scaling and this matchup who y'all got depends on which naruto like if they're talking about like peak naruto then naruto okay yeah no i was gonna say it it very much depends on that era of the three naruto characters because as much as i hate sakura like boruto level sakura is stupid busted like if it's end of series for them like end of like bor like not even end of boruto but boruto level naruto sasuke and sakura yeah it's it's see the gear 5 luffy kind of makes it a little harder but as of right now especially with luffy's with luffy's stamina issue it's i'd actually have to lean towards naruto naruto squad i'm not leaning i'm laying all the way down on another okay we'll see like the thing is but like it's not really close i feel like i feel like like someone like emu i feel i would have been better for this matchup i feel like i would have been better for this matchup okay so that's what they're saying you're saying that naruto and then they get of of one piece do you think that they'll be able to scale themselves up to defeat these three or no i with how strong emu is i'm very i could see it for sure okay i don't know i don't know because the thing sakura alone does that because she's almost to be technical if i remember i could i haven't fully watched boruto i'm only going off of what i know from a couple of my friends that are big boruto heads you uh if i recall sakura becomes like dimensional level to a degree that's that's the problem like okay and twilight is right i feel like one piece characters are already there in terms of like speed so like they can keep up with naruto characters in terms of speed or be faster because they have a future cycle so you can say they're faster already but you think the hax is on naruto side yeah yeah yeah like yeah by far you know what i'm saying so but the problem is like one piece characters aren't even close yet and some of the strength so i feel like if they get that strength level and then you can argue that they're faster and they have the observation then that's when i'm like okay you can give it to one piece characters but i don't know if they're ever going to reach like that super duper high strength and not starting so i guess the question becomes even further like it say say luffy's capable of doing the the hockey knot type of stuff that joy boy was doing like is that enough or is that still not enough okay no no no yeah it it i'm trying to think of a proper way to compare like like because chad's even saying it pretty accurately like naruto alone hmm yes meanwhile devil food is kind of something that you get so yeah i kind of like the whole like mental and physical aspect of like hard work plus like dreaming big manifestation uh how disciplined you but about life itself we all know observation hockey let you see what many can't armament hockey turns your body into a weapon and conquers hockey belongs to the chosen few but what if those abilities aren't a fantasy what if they're metaphors metaphors for intuition discipline and the kind of world that changes the people around you and i'm not going to be breaking down hockey but i'm going to uncover why one piece might be teaching us how to become stronger long before we ever throw a punch so let's start with observation hockey observation hockey isn't about seeing the future it's about i'm saying if you as long as you ain't saying anything you're not gonna be able to beat emu i'm with whatever keep the team up out of here keep the team up over there they do that over in the mother emu's power that's why i feel like emu or blackbeard needs another power-up to be put on the level that luffy um and them are gonna be at by the time he would be coming around again in my opinion yeah that's why i said it'd be pointless if blackbeard was if luffy luffy sat there and beat emu and then went and fought blackbeard because it's just like the power the power is just so different if you really do it at that point i mean blackbeard's getting knocked like am i wrong it all depends on what i want to do with how strong blackbeard is man like i was like like we still haven't seen a dude fight all out we still might get another devil fruit he might get an ancient weapon he might get a whole lot of stuff that can make him more formidable you are taking them right now because it would be the next technical like as if that is luffy luffy comes back wins now and he has to fight blackbeard let's be honest as of right now well how did he win did they jump him with him and loki and the straw hats and like i don't like how did they you're saying luffy beat emu head up no well like what are we saying like what are we saying we're all saying luffy's gone i mean we all want luffy to be him emu head up because that's just what we want at least i do i don't want luffy they have that power to go one-on-one and be able to do that you know what i'm saying i don't know if that's bad to group fight against emu and then luffy has to fight and defeat emu himself it becomes a one-on-one that's kind of how a lot of these fights have been like like a like a way like how kai like everybody kind of had to kaito i mean they pitched in at the time and even then we had we had breaks in between where like yamato had to fight for a minute there you know maybe dragon fills that role you know what i mean like ultimately it'll be luffy who fights and defeats emu i i believe right but you know like i think people have mentioned the the idea around emu losing covenants and getting weaker because luffy's team is defeating his underlings that way it shows like the competence of my crew is making me win this battle when maybe joy boy's team wasn't capable of doing the same we're getting sanji conquerors hockey blooms now like who knows who else will get a conquerors hockey bloom that'll be fighting on luffy's side in a final war but if they're able to take out gorose members that should potentially weaken emu because he'd be losing covenants the way that he lost harold so if those happen in succession the way that one piece tends to happen where all the people underneath luffy win their fights and then luffy has his round two and three with the big bad like i there's a lot of ways we can go about this you know i'm saying so it's like we it just it just depends on what order decides to write which is a which is a cop-out i understand that it's a cop-out but i can see i can see him going either way as far as like who he has to fight first or whatever in order to win or become power king or whatever like i can see oda going at this point i can see it going either way i for a long time always thought it needed to be blackbeard's the main villain for the one piece luffy will find the one piece and then set his sights on the world government if oda wants this all in one bow at the same time then anybody could go at any point you know i'm saying and then it becomes what's the biggest narrative fight finale is it personal vendetta slash the the being the pirate king or is it overthrowing the world government which has never really been luffy's centric focus you know so it's like i didn't take a look here listen here so it is gonna be you could do it as somewhere black you we have uh luffy uh be but we know blackbeard a huge opportunist and he probably knows he gaining power as this going on so what if he went and took the one piece you know what i'm saying and luffy their final battle was luffy trying to get the one piece from him i don't like that personally the idea that anybody finds the one piece before luffy doesn't i don't i've never subscribed to any of those i'm just saying though i feel like it craps on i feel like that was for it like luffy's getting beat up it's hard like i have to say extreme diff still i don't know if i can you can you can just say both cat and kaido were extreme diffs fights for luffy but those are personal favorite series of mine um i got into it during covid um and originally i got into the manga but i found that it had an anime and then i watched the anime and i was like well this anime is too good now i can't read it like i want to see this in action instead of in the manga so i'm kind of like gatekeeping myself from the rest of it um but uh the series is the saga of tanya the evil they just had a season two release um and even then i'm kind of gatekeeping myself from that because i started re-watching it with my uh with my girlfriend um but it's uh it's i would consider it in a sekai from like the golden era of a sekai um they uh it's so hard to describe if you if you've ever been interested in like i don't know like maybe like war movies or just even you know mid to early 1900s documentaries like stuff about history and whatnot i mean obviously half of one piece is history related so i would assume there might be a little bit there um but it uh it strikes pretty close to that um obviously with it being in a sekai it's like reincarnation based but in kind of a more interesting way i would say um originally this series was a light novel series and then it got a manga and then it got an anime um so there's a lot more like to build off of for an anime story's sake um and i've been reading a lot of anime and i've been reading a lot of manga and i've been reading a lot of anime listening to the light novels just like through an audiobook thing um and they make so many good like deep um connections to like a lot of uh philosophy and a lot of like um like how the human mental can be shaped by like the environment that they're in and like how rationale is built and like depending on situation it gets it gets really deep and they draw a lot of like a lot of connections to real life examples um because from the main character's perspective he's like in our timeline just a couple years ago and then he dies and gets basically sent back in time um in a different world but it's you know similar enough um but basically like the main character and um the god figure uh they kind of singleize it in the anime or it's like one god in the light novel it's almost like it's like a court of gods it's very interesting how they how they do that um and they they kind of like the main character and the gods like buttheads essentially um the main character dies and the god is like why why does why do i have to reincarnate people like you you have no faith you know you just you just live and you die and i have to sit here and just reincarnate people like you you have no faith you know you just you just live and you die and i have to sit here and just reincarnate you know merely talking to people would cause them to worship me but now you know everyone just shrugs it off like it's nothing um the main character kind of goes into a really interesting perspective on it at least in terms of like religion and how people would perceive that kind of stuff with um you know like people don't really need to quote unquote they don't people don't feel they need to worship anymore because all of their like needs are met um they have food you know a majority or a lump some of people have good social class um you know they're not uncomfortable in their living positions um you know and they have technology and advances that just make life in general easier than what it would have been before and um the god's kind of perspectives on it are like um saying that like reincarnating or managing seven billion people uh is like a lot and he's he's like it's a lot of work and i'm overworked as it is like dealing with these like lines i have to draw like that just it doesn't fit for me and the main character bits back at him because he was a um he's like a a business analytics guy and before obviously he died but he worked in like an analytics side of a business and he was like well i hate to tell you this but being overworked is the sign of a flawed business model you feel like you're stressed out and you're working too much means that whatever you're doing isn't working um and he's like you need to kind of restructure this like it doesn't make sense they kind of go back and forth um essentially the god just kind of comes down to the line of well if i were to put you in a world where you didn't have ease of access of technology life was harder you were in dire straits food wasn't easy to come by every all all of the above of basically the opposite of what he was arguing he's like if i put you in a world in those conditions would your faith then awaken for me and the main character obviously started stepping back he's like no that's not what i meant i think you took it the wrong way he was like nah we doing it yeah and the god was like nope i'm putting you there and so it becomes like this kind of back and forth competition and it's really interesting so question question question because this does sound really interesting throughout the reincarnation is is the main character aware that he was reincarnated yes so the way and i'll explain because it's not really even spoiled like this within first episode or two yeah literally the the second one is kind of this reincarnation process um but the main character literally after they have that conversation with the god and the time he froze before his death and they are having this conversation literally the millisecond before he's dead um the moment that conversation ends he dies he wakes up and he's in a baby's body he doesn't know what's going on 100 it slowly starts to click as he's thinking to himself and looking around as a literal baby being held by like a nun in a church and like you know western europe essentially um so he he is aware um and as the character grows throughout the story um they kind of they have this really strong vendetta against them to prove them wrong and the god does continually step in to try to make conditions harder for him because like it's just not enough for him like he's he's just succeeding throughout it anyway and he's like all right well i'm gonna do this so then you know maybe you'll start to you know like chisel away at you know maybe belief for me or whatever um and it seems a little unfair but even then it just keeps pushing um and it almost seems less of like a the god is trying to convert him to faith to more of the god is trying to prove the point that he is god right and it like it becomes more of like they instead of main character having vendetta for the god it's like they both have a vendetta on each other at a certain point and it gets it gets really fucking and or excuse me really interesting um like and to what we were talking about you know the other week um about music i've always been especially with one piece um i've always been especially with one piece um about music i've always been especially with one piece like big band stuff like that like it when it it plays and it's in an important moment it like really drags out the emotion and like the intensity of a scene and this is like pre-world war one kind of war battle going on um so there's constant like orchestral music and it's it's this kind of like big big epic battle kind of stuff like something you'd hear if you've ever played any of the battle music um and it's it's just kind of like big big epic battle kind of stuff Battlefield games, stuff like that. like that um it's just it aids to it one of my favorite characters is the general uh general zatour he is just like this knowledge ball of a person like he it even states that he was like kind of too good in terms of knowledge he's all brains and he shouldn't have even been in the military but he stayed anyway because he really liked it and he's really good at it um but there's scenes where he gets like he's very flat most of the time like just that you know sit down be full of wisdom kind of character eyes closed all the time the moments he opens his eyes or he gets excited he starts showing these strong emotions you know stuff is happening you know it's getting like intense you know it's getting um like important because he's getting excited about it and it just every time i see it out of him it just makes me like super excited i'm like man if he's getting excited now i'm excited and he's feeling good you said it's on crunchyroll it is on crunchyroll yeah they just had a season two release um and they're doing a release like every wednesday do you know if it's eligible for downloads because i typically watch most of my anime on my ipad on flights and i have to download them for that so if i ever you know believe it is and if i'm going to even push a further recommendation for it i would do the english dub i'm more of a sub guy myself but i think the english voices okay for this series are done extremely well with it being a militaristic kind of setting it almost feels i don't know if it's a bad thing to say more american to hear it during like the setting tells me that i might yeah i might be able to it might be able to work okay um i'll see if i can check it out it's super good i will say it's sad that the movie's not dubbed yet and obviously season two is not dubbed yet um because they fell in like a weird funimation crunchyroll dubbing situation when funimation fell under um so i don't i don't know how that's gonna work from this point on at this i don't know if crunchyroll has the ability for it life's saying it's always a touchy thing especially with a situation like that show so i remember i didn't season one come out like 10 11 years ago yeah season well season one was uh i want to say like 2017 2018 like it was like literally peak isekai era like overlord so good like that era of re-zero that era of isekai was in that class um and honestly i like to think that it stands just as tall as they do especially with the writing that like there's so much more beyond the anime that i know there is there's a like i said light novel series um the first season goes through like maybe the first two or three light novels and there's like in the 20s of light novels so there's a lot there okay so there's more data yeah if you're ever for a good read or even just for a dramatic watch um i would say this series is definitely worth the pickup um i think it's for most people it would be something really interesting if they're very um very logical very history driven whatever else maybe um but yeah that's what i got okay yeah i'm gonna have to add it to the list man i'm gonna have But I think Ifrit Jambi is stronger than what Marco can produce. Now, if he wins. If we're going off this theory that he wins with a hotter fire, his hockey makes him. ford he retreated in in front of rayleigh but that was because kobe and a bunch of other marines were there and he retreated from a kainu and the rest of the times he hasn't really retreated he's fought i think that's because he doesn't want it getting back to emu that he's as powerful as what his father was and that's because he saw what happened to rocks like rocks was demonstrating his power like he wasn't afraid to show how powerful he was but then he just got domi reversed he didn't wasn't able to do anything so blackbeard thinks that he shouldn't be showing his power because if he if blackberry did show his power like i i i have to assume emu would know that he's related to to rocks at least to some extent so so if if blackbridge showed his power and emu saw that he would be like oh i need to nip this in the bud before it gets anywhere just like he did with rocks so i think the reason blackbeard hasn't shown anything is is because that he is trying to prevent emu from seeing him and that's also why like the only fights we've really seen other than really law but but we didn't even see that full fight the only fights we've seen of blackbeard have been when marines are around him and that's also why like the only fights we've seen are around and i think otis trying to save blackbeard strength for when i guess for the final war because we still haven't seen it but because i find it hard to believe that blackbeard is going to get some miraculous power up at the end that's just going to propel him to the front i think that would like people would be upset about that it would feel like a mickey because like he's as powerful as he is right now and then he just gets this random power up that pushes him to the top tiers of power i don't i don't see that happening like i feel like that'd be bad story writing so i think blackbeard is at least relative probably to the top tiers right now however like where you want to place him i don't know so the reason the reason why i would push back as to it being bad story writing is because it's how he's gained power throughout the series backstabbing cheating cheating his way to the top you know what i mean so like to me yes he could be very powerful already but him getting another cheat code to getting more powerful is very in line with his character as has been written to this point so i don't know that i would agree that it would be bad writing that he got another power up to get him even farther up the scale here um that to say that he isn't already strong i'm just saying to me that's very in line with what he does how he goes about his business and how he's written he's taking the easy way as it were to the top you know but then that would mean so you know i guess that would mean that whatever power up he would get would have to be some kind of devil fruit related thing because hockey like i don't like he can't really just magically get top tier hockey yeah it would probably be another devil fruit but would that put him on the tiers of the like the devil fruits can make you extremely powerful and i think just blackbeard's devil fruits put him like among the mid to top tier but to become like joy boy and emu level i think you do still need that hockey because joy boy and emu had the top tier devil fruits but they also had the top tier hockey so in order to really compete with them you can't just have a top tier devil fruit yeah i mean double fruit he'd have to have some comparable level of hockey as well but why not both i think he could but i i think he already has like at least relative to that kind of level of hockey whose level he's just not sure about that he's just not sure about that showing it because he's trying to hide his strength until he's really ready to face emu or whoever he's gonna face well this is this goes in line with toby's theory about him being the one to take out emu in the end so hey i i i can see it happening i won't
