An absolute bloodbath is beginning right now in the United States Department of Justice as the resignations have begun. One of the most senior officials in the Trump Justice Department heartbeat, Dylan has resigned from her job as the chief of the United States Civil Rights Division. Now, it's not like she did much work in the Civil Rights Division. Let's be honest, and we'll talk a little bit about that. But this is the first of what is expected to be many, many resignations inside the United States Department of Justice. As Congress prepares for significant investigations of anyone associated with the president, including people like Harmi Dylan. Harmi Dylan served as the chief of the DOJ Civil Rights Division under her leadership. Here's what some of the things happen first. The DOJ stopped efforts to desegregate schools in the South. The DOJ made it a priority instead to go after, quote, anti-white racism. And more, make sure if you can't subscribe or on the road to a million subscribers, like, comment, share them where you do the more people see. And let's go through kind of what we're seeing today. Attorney General Todd Blanche today announced, quote, that he accepted the resignation of Assistant Attorney General Harmi Dylan, who led the Civil Rights Division with conviction to past 18 months. She has defended the civil liberties of every American and enforced the law without fear or favor. The Department is grateful for her dedicated public service, and we wish her every success in her future endeavors. But quickly, former DOJ officials started blasting her. In a statement to Scott McFarlane, they say, quote, "Harmi Dylan has been the most destructive, lawless, and hateful head of the Civil Rights Division in Department of Justice history." After she appended the division's mission-critical work, the civil servants who dedicated their careers to protecting vulnerable communities were instead told to target them. And more than three quarters of the division's lawyers left, Dylan wielded the enormous power of the Justice Department to threaten universities, state and local officials, and election workers, in spurious cases that rarely won in court. And now what you have is a Department of Justice without a top lawyer eluding the Civil Rights Division. Now, I say that with some caution, because, like I said at the beginning, it's not like there is essentially many people in the Department of Justice who want to do civil rights work. In fact, the civil rights work that they championed was this kind of anti-white racism going after anti-white hatred, going after the desegregation of schools, literally promoting the president's agenda, the racist agenda of the president. That's what they were doing. So it's not like Harvey Dillon is going to change, leaving is going to change with this Department of Justice going to start doing the Civil Rights Division. They're only going to look to try to continue that. Now, why is Harvey Dillon leaving? Well, Harvey Dillon was confirmed by the United States Senate. The DOJ Civil Rights Sheep has to be confirmed by the Senate. They now have two months to replace her to try to force someone you through, because it's not like senators coming in are going to be voting for any Trump nominee. Take a listen to what Giuliana Stratton had to say. This is a new nominee after January to be a confirmation vote on a defense secretary. What would it take for you to vote yes on someone that President Trump nominated to be the next defense secretary? Well, Hexeth should never have been nominated, and I can't imagine anyone that Donald Trump would nominate would be competent for the role. I won't vote for any of Donald Trump's nominees, and I've made that very clear. Jerry, it full stop, no matter what? No, I mean, look at what this administration is doing, led by a president who is not concerned about what's in the best interest of the American people, and certainly not interested in what's in the best interest of our national security. This is a time that we are going to have majorities in both the House and the Senate. This is the time for Democrats to demonstrate to Americans all across the country that we are there to not just push back and fight back against this president's authoritarian agenda, a president who is the most corrupt president in history, but it's time for us to set the agenda about what the American people deserve. They deserve competent leaders. They deserve people who are going to really focus on what's in the best interest of the American people. So, Juliana Stratton is making clear, I'm not going to be voting for any Trump nominee, and I guarantee you a whole lot folks are also on that. They're not voting for incoming Trump nominees, and that's why current Trump nominees are trying to run, are trying to win. Now, another incoming Senator, Senator Abdul Al-Sayed, kind of made this clear as well, that good luck. Everyone watched during the campaign. There was a series of back-and-forth attacks between you and the vice president. I mean, he called you evil and then some. My question now is, as Senator elect, how are you going to approach working with or not working with the vice president and the president? Yeah, well, in his role as vice president, if he's interested in advancing things that are going to get money out of politics, put money in pockets, pass Medicare for all, I'm looking forward to working together. He is the vice president, Donald Trump is the president. I'll work with anybody to serve the people of the state of Michigan, and if they're serious about doing that, let's get some stuff done. In their political roles, in the ways that they behave outside of their actual roles as president and vice president, I find them odious. They've taken us down the path. You see JD Vance now. He's sprinting as hard backwards as he can from this terrible disastrous warning on. I'm like, now's not the time, my guy. It would have been eight months ago. You should have spoke up, but you never will because, of course, you are a coward who has decided that whatever Donald Trump says should go until, of course, Donald Trump is now a loser at the ballot box and now you're trying to find a different way. I'm looking for people who stand on principle, and it's important for the American public that they see who their elected officials are, because look, it's no, I don't have to, this is not breaking news. JD Vance is going to try and run for president, and I want folks to understand exactly who JD Vance is as a person as he tries to do that, and I'm going to take every opportunity to be able to differentiate between what JD Vance says and what JD Vance does, because I think it's important for the American public to know who their leaders are. So, if I'm using a word that I often hate to use, because it's used, you know, in Washington, but like, dialing down the rhetoric as Senator, it sounds like it's not going, I do all I say out on the campaign trail does not sound like it's Senator elect, I'll do all I say out is going to be any different in terms of the rhetoric. Here's the difference between us. You know, he goes on the campaign trail, makes all kinds of accusations about me because of my faith in my name, he calls me evil. I just pointed out the fact that constitutionally he's obligated to swear me in, and he did go to Ohio State University, which of course is a lesser university than the University of Michigan. Well, you can't end like that because then you know I can't fight you on that. I specifically though on- I'm just, I'm stating facts. Good luck JD. Now, if Governor Pritzker had it his way though, Democrats right now would raise the minimum wage to go listen. You put out a, I believe it's 75 pages of a plan that you think the Democrats should follow. When you hear what you're hearing from national Democrats, from Chuck Schumer, from Hakeem Jeffries, what is the number one thing that you think that they should do? Well, there's an easy way to start. Let's raise the minimum wage in the United States. I mean, it's $7.25 as the federal minimum wage. You can't survive on $14,000 a year with a single full-time job. People even with two full-time jobs at $7.25, that's $28,000. You can't raise a family on that. Barely survive yourself. So that seems like an easy first step, but there's so many other things. I mean, even before you get to the harder things like universal health care, which I think a lot of people want to make sure happens, what about just focusing on giving people a few paid days off? Here in Illinois, we give people a whole week off paid because if you're a working person, I mean, you just can't survive. You can't go on vacation. There's no joy anymore. You're just barely surviving by paying your bills if you can. So I think there are some pretty easy things that they can go after. Look, will President Trump veto those things? I hope not. I would hope that he understands what the American people have said. But I can tell you, Democrats need to be very clear that we are sticking up for raising wages and lowering costs for American families. Yeah, he's promising he'll become Mr. Vito. Let me know what you think, and I'll see you soon. Hey folks, thanks so much for watching.
