Todd McShay on the SEC Schedule Gauntlets & Reassessing the ’27 QB Draft Class

The episode blends sports commentary with promotional content, centering on college football, NBA matchups, and fantasy betting. Ryan Rosillo and Todd McShay discuss the SEC’s dominance, highlighting Georgia, Kentucky, and LSU as top contenders, while questioning the competitiveness of Big Ten teams due to quarterback injuries and inconsistent performance. A key focus is the Detroit-New York Knicks game, where Cat’s explosive second-half performance revitalized the Knicks, showcasing how past matchups influence current dynamics. Portland’s strong start is attributed to aggressive offensive play and efficient execution, particularly from Denny Avdija and Dame Lillard. The discussion also touches on draft prospects, with Drew Mestemaker emerging as a top talent due to elite traits and game intelligence, while acknowledging the overrated nature of some quarterbacks. DraftKings is promoted with a national app launch and a time-limited bonus offer, emphasizing accessibility and engagement across all sports. The overarching theme is the impact of injuries, schedule difficulty, and team resilience in shaping outcomes—especially in high-stakes environments like the college football playoff and NBA playoffs. The analysis underscores how situational play, player development, and historical matchups inform real-time evaluations of team potential.

Really wanted to pay attention to Detroit, New York. Again, Detroit is probably a team I like maybe a little bit better just because of how wide open the East is and how disappointing the playoffs were and feeling like they have this fundamental flaw that just can't take them deep enough. But no, Duren, with his injury, injury is kind of the headline. The first week of the NBA here. Now with the news to Anthony Edwards, who his knee was bothering him during this entire time where he looked like the best player in the world. But he's now out two months on top of everything else that happened with OKC. So I'll transition kind of that stuff into the Lakers, Portland. Nice one for the Trailblazers on the road. But Detroit, New York, and just kind of wondering like when's New York going to look like New York again? Well, the answer to that was the third quarter. Because in the first quarter, Detroit's going off. Even Tirico's on the broadcast going, man, New York. Just kind of looks dead. We'll get to that third quarter in a second. But one of the things that, you know, I liked about Detroit, even if we all were like, is this offense going to bite them in the ass? And it did in the playoffs. And then you look at it and go, well, I mean, Isaiah Joe's a nice player, but it's not like they've completely changed who they are. And you'd expect Duren to be better in the playoffs after another taste of it. But when I watch regular season games, I'll ask myself with certain matchups, be like, does this feel real? Is this a real thing? Is this a real thing that you can use when you think about potential series matchups? And when Detroit played New York last year in the regular season, it was overwhelming. It looked like Detroit's defense, their aggressiveness, the length, the athleticism, like it, it bottled up New York. And it was something where I'm like, well, if they play each other, I'm probably going to pick Detroit. Now, we all have to admit, we all look at the Knicks entirely different today. And I'm not even talking about like the only three star, who cares? But like whenever I'm like, oh, maybe I don't. I feel like none of us are really allowed to do that. And as I say, like, I probably would have picked Detroit in the playoffs in a series against New York. You're like, well, how could you have done that considering their offensive problems and everything? It was because of those regular season matchups. And just to remind everybody is because it was something I was thinking about last night going into it. It's like, remember how much you like Detroit against the Knicks because of those regular season matchups? All three games happened in January and February of earlier in 26, right? So the first loss, New York has their full football. Five guys, they lose by 31 points. All right. The second time they play each other, no cat, no G, but no Dern for Detroit. The Pistons win by 38. And then in the third game, also a Detroit win. So they were in the regular season series three zip. They went by 15. That's a full five Knicks and Dern and big stew were suspended after that. Charlotte dust up with moose. So taking it a little bit further Brunson in the three games against Detroit shooting splits, 43%, 20%. But they did a great job of keeping him off the free throw line. He only averaged like five, three free throw attempts per game, his scoring and assists on the lower side of what his splits would normally be 23 and five. So it was a real thing. It was a real thing and how it felt like a bit of a carryover of their previous playoff matchup in the first round where, you know, Detroit's young and it's new. It's not fully formed. You're like, Hey, I saw, I'll get better. Maybe Ron Holland will get better. Dern will get better. Cade already 10 points. To me is like, he's going to be a top 10 guy for a really long time. And in the first quarter, I'm like, man, like there might be something about this matchup. And then the Knicks were like, Hey, are you guys sick of this shit? You want to, you want to maybe win this game? And Paul Reed goes crazy in the first quarter because they don't have during again, because of this injury, we know Stu was gone. So now that center, that three man center rotation where Reed was kind of the odd man out last year in the regular season, he's the guy that's called upon. But what I loved about this game, there's a lot of things I liked about. The Knicks once they decided it was over, it was time to start playing some hoops, taking advantage of that matchup there. And cat was, you know, you set the screen Detroit, try to go small with John Collins at five. So that means Collins is likely going to have to like pay attention to Brunson's move off the screen before he can figure out what he's going to do with cat. And cat, you know, is probably somebody that likes to pick and pop a little bit more than pick and roll hard role in Cade is the low man on the baseline. And even with Cade's size, cat's like, this is over. You know, Paul Reed, um, whenever again, Detroit tiger goes small. I mean, this is why cat was so good last night. He finishes with what? 27 and 21, 27 and 20. So just an awesome performance for him. And I thought it was one of those things where it was kind of like, Hey, do you see who's out here? Like Paul reads a nice story and everything, but you should be able to attack this guy and those hard roles off of that screen. Whoever is guarding cat is caught up in that. Like, again, the first thing you're going to have to do is worry about Brunson a little bit there. And that's where it's just like a hard. And roll backline defense. It shouldn't be too much of a problem. And there was a couple of really nice plays from cat and all of that. Um, Brunson was one to nine in the first half, which is the second worst shooting percentage half of his career. He did get to the free throw line 10 times. So he gets to the line. Some of the Detroit normally doesn't do, but bottling him up even below what all the splits were last year. But that third quarter, it's 11, Oh, run to start the second half. Terrific defense. I thought maybe there were two easy shots from Detroit in the first seven minutes of the third quarter. So they're forcing turnovers. They're not like Pelicans turnovers in that loss where they blew that huge lead in the fourth quarter at Denver, where they're just like throwing it out of bounds. There's probably a Pelicans conversation. If I had, if I just did a Pelicans podcast, I might've done that on Monday. Um, don't know if we'll have time for it now. So 11 and a half or 11, Oh, run there, get the jump ball, hard shots across the board, covered all the cat stuff. Um, and it's just, it's something that I see with cat word in those kinds of matchups. It can be really scary. You know, you're worried about Brunson cat's ball handling and his passing ability surrounded by shooters. You're playing four on three behind all the traffic at the top on the screen. Like that should be something that's, that's rather simple. And here's something I didn't really expect because then there was another eight over on they're up 18 and that was kind of it. But cat, you know, there's probably games and it happened when I, when I talked about it in the playoffs before, like they had really put together the run is like, if you're going to have them out there, you can't. Have him not shooting. And, you know, part of it, I probably admire because there's, there was a version of cat with Minnesota where it's like, okay, well, you're the main guy. You're getting the contract extension. The team isn't very good. You're going to get your 18 shots. You're going to take a ton of threes. You're going to put up huge numbers, but like, what does it really mean? And defensively is the backline guy, which is one of the most remarkable parts about that next title run. Is that a thing that we thought like, I don't know if you can do it with him. Hell, I think I said it about Jokic too at one point. And now I'm starting to wonder if that's, that's a bigger issue. In the 26th version of Denver. I do have a Denver segment ready to go. We get it in the oven, but probably need to get a little more time. But I found myself kind of going like on a night, like last night, I want cat taking a ton of shots. I want him maybe back to like 17 shots a game, certain matchups for the Knicks. You know, he's around 14 shots a game for them. You know, if you look at the Minnesota averages and the Knicks averages over the seven years of Minnesota through New York, it's 4.3, 4.4, three point attempts. per game with both teams. At his peak with Minnesota, it was kind of like six. One year, he even had eight threes a game where he shot 41%. So I know this sounds crazy and remind me of this if I have a stretch where I feel like Cat isn't playing great for a month, but specific to last night, I just want to see him that aggressive, and I loved it, and the Knicks looked like the Knicks again. Probably worth taking a look at Portland here and their win, pulling that one out in the fourth quarter at L.A. Both of these teams haven't really played anybody. They're the number one and number two scoring offense in the NBA, so it's a lot of offense. It's a lot of fun. I'm primarily more focused on the Portland part of this, not just because they've won, but because I think Luka is good enough, and this is like a separate thing that we get into with OKC's injuries, with the way Denver's looked, with Ant being out two months. Get ready for that. That's going to be fun to watch. We're a week in, and this is going to be a week in. This is why we actually care about sports, but we're a week in, and we need to start thinking about how weird could the number two and three seeds look in the West. OKC's probably still going to be really competitive because SGA is so good and because of the system and because of this depth that is going to be tested, so I'm not ready to put a four or five next to them. But like I said, if you're these other teams, this is why you go, hey, we put together a roster, and sure, we're on paper not better than these other teams in front of us. But, you know, it's sports. Let's go. Let's go see what happens. So the Lakers can start looking at this differently. And I wonder if Portland can start looking at it differently. We'll get to the schedule at the end. Maybe throws cold water on all of this. But the things that I were looking at here with L.A. and Portland is that when they brought over Ja and, you know, Dame comes back from the Achilles injury, you're like, what's going to happen with Denny Avia, right? Because the best version of him is going to be Denny Avia. The best version of their offense and what unlocked him was an incredibly high usage rate, a million drives at the hoop, and living at the free throw line. Like SGA Luca type free throw rates. And if you're bringing in Ja who's on the ball, and you're bringing in Dame who's always been on the ball, like what's going to happen? And you still have Drew and you have Scoot, who has tailed off a bit since the NBA opener. But Denny's numbers, if we run through it here, he's at the same shot attempts around 16 per game. The free throws are down about two. Not really even two minutes per game. He's down to a game rebounds assist to the same. The shooting percentage is on fire, which is kind of the story here with Portland shooting, which is one of the best shooting teams in the league to start here. He's a 44% for three. He was the 32 last year. That's probably not going to hold up, but the usage is the same. And Mike Inouye, he's an awesome coach. I wish there weren't so many like negative headlines about the number that he had to take to finally get a dream job of being a head coach. But everybody loves this guy. Everybody raves about him and maybe the mistake again, maybe it's schedule here, but the mistake was that he wasn't going to be able to figure this out. Or we could be seeing everybody playing nice in the early part of this and then seeing guys kind of revert back to what they're comfortable with. Because in those late possessions that matter, right? This is a basically a tie game. Jock can come up with the ball. So, hey, look at you. You're the point guard, but you're handing it off to Denny and then Denny is looking at whether or not he wants to attack on the drive. And then you have Denny. And then you have Dame kind of at the break. And there were three plays in particular where Denny decides to get the guard, meaning Dame, because like Jock hands it off and then Jock's kind of out of the play. So maybe he's not going to love that for 82 or the 65 that he plays if it goes well. Denny hits Dame to the left side three, right? Because there's like help to Denny. And the Lakers are closing with the three guys. We'll call them the three whites, I guess. Yes, Luca and Austin Reeves. And then it's Diable for the defense. And then it's Zyra Williams, who, you know, I'm a little surprised he's in the closing group for them. But, you know, there was a fourth quarter line of the Lakers had out there where Luca wasn't playing, where I'm like, man, this might be kind of tough to keep up offensively because Portland had their five guys in there to start the fourth quarter. So as I'm watching this happen, help to Denny, Dame, good look at a three, knocks it down. Another play, Denny gets the Dame, Dame dances a little bit. He's back, Denny, he hits a three. Then there's a drive on the right side where the help comes. Think of this. The help comes off of Dame Lillard, off of the three-point line to help on a Denny Avdija drive. And Dame is wide open for a three. Like, in what version of the Dame Lillard story have you gone, yeah, run off of him to help off of somebody else? So this stuff is working. The drives per game, which is really weird, the tracking stuff that's on NBA right now and NBA.com for those advanced stats. I don't really understand. Why this is so different, but it's still telling the same story with different numbers. Portland's number one on drives per game so far this season. Forty-five drives a game. Orlando's number two at 36. But the weird thing is, is last year, the number one driving team was Chicago at 82 drives per game. Portland was third at like 78. So either they're wrong or they're tracking it wrong or it's different because Denny Avdija last year was number one in drives 28 a game. He's number one this year in the NBA at 15. So something's weird with those numbers. Denny's number one, by the way, and Ja is number two. So he's off to the great start. Dame is off to a great start despite five less field goal attempts from his peak. The usage and assist is going to be down, but the free throw rate is higher because he is, you know, once he's got the ball, he's probably making the decision as opposed to dancing around with it and getting other people involved. Ja, who at his peak was a 20 shot attempt per game guy, he's at 12 right now. He's shooting. Splits are off the charts. These are not going to hold up 59 and 44. He's not getting to the line as much. The usage is the lowest of his career, which means the free throw rate is lowest career, which also directly relates to this odd number that kind of scares us all off a jaw is if you go with his field goal, hit the percentage of his shots and where they are on the floor. 40% of them are in the restricted area. His rookie year, it's gone down eight straight seasons, and now it's only 15% of those shots. So he hit two really nice, like dance with it. Get into that three to. 10 foot range. He had two of those makes, you know, there's going to be times where it just goes on forever and he kind of flails into somebody and it gets kind of annoying or whatever. But what I'm telling you is that they're still driving the ball. They're shooting the hell out of it. And this this clogging of like, is it going to get weird where Denny is isn't involved? They they basically like kind of hacked it in a way where it's like, yeah, you're the point guard job, but get rid of the ball. There was even a play where Dame off a defensive rebound had the outlet to the right side. I came up for the ball and then kind of like looked and then turned around and went back and Dame just brought it over half court. They've also played the Suns, the Kings and the Lakers and the Lakers are good, but the Lakers haven't played anybody either. So I don't know when the injuries are going to slow down, but if you're if you're running one of these teams, you know, in a week, you're looking at the top of the West very differently. At the gym looking for some of my favorites, you know, had a couple notes and some things. So it's good to see you, man. I really enjoy the sub stack on top of all the stuff you're doing with Mench, as you know. So I appreciate it. I appreciate it. So it's actually been fun having a newsletter a little bit different than ESPN Insider. And, you know, I like the flexibility of it. We'll get to that. I want to start with some general college football stuff because I think we're at this point in the season with the disruption that we've had from the last two weeks. I'm afraid to even ask this, but like, who do you like? Because I feel guilty of like, I'm just going to pick the same teams we all liked in the summer because the losses have kind of cycled it all out. But is there is there a team? I mean, other than like Miami, that's been clean here. Like, do you still like Georgia? Do you dislike this team? I kind of want to build the start of this around those teams. Obviously, I like Miami a lot. I feel like they're starting to get a little bit healthier. I think that secondary was ravaged. They had a bunch of injuries and they. Still, but they haven't played a lot. You know, the hard part for me is this. Let's just dive into it. The SEC is so good this year. And so it's like everyone's kind of afraid to have the conversation. Like, it's so much. It's so dominant to what the product is in the Big Ten in any other conference this year. OK, but it was the SEC forever. And then the last few years, it's been Big Ten winning the championships. And we're kind of lined up. We were looking on Saturday. Saturday night, man, we now have two one-loss teams, one being Georgia, and obviously coming off the bye now, getting ready for the Florida game and a brutal schedule down the stretch, and the other being Kentucky, which I think the realist, I've been a Will Stein fan for the last, I don't know, four or five years at Oregon, and what he's been able to do for quarterbacks and was wondering when he was going to take a big job, was kind of surprised before I knew the backstory and how dedicated he was to Kentucky and his personal connection there. I was kind of surprised it was Kentucky, to be honest with you, and now look at what's happened to Oregon. If you watch the rise of Kentucky and the downfall of Oregon, and if we didn't know how valuable Will Stein was prior to this, I think he's at peak value right now. But you've got those two one-loss teams. As much as I love Will Stein, it's a tough run for Kentucky, and you just. I just wonder, like, can they continue to kind of defy the odds? But then you've got these seven two-loss teams, Ryan, seven in the SEC. I think LSU might be the best of all of them. I don't think Texas is far behind them, but this Goosby injury after watching the tape is a real issue. They're tackled, right? Yeah, the starting left tackle, and what happened after Goosby left the game. And then I could run through the list, but there's seven two-loss teams. And so now we're talking about nine teams that are still in the mix. But what happens if there's a third loss for one of these teams that truly belong in the college football playoff because they're still one of the best 12 teams in the country? So that's kind of where I am on all of this. It's like, how do we sort through what the SEC has to go through with nine conference games compared to what Notre Dame's going to finish the season and what their true strength of record is? At the end of the year, and Miami's strength of record. Miami's going to be in. Notre Dame will very likely be in, and they should be. They're two of the best 12 teams. But how many from the Big Ten are we going to let in? How many deserve to be in? Do any other ACC teams belong? I don't think so. I only think there should be one Big 12 team. Let them kind of knock each other out, to be honest. But that's where I stand. But BYU, throws kind of a wrench into that thing because they'll have the win over Notre Dame. But yeah, that's kind of where I sit today. I think Georgia has the equation, right? You got to have their combination of coaching quarterback with Kirby Smart and Gunnar Stockton is, for the college level, about as good as it gets with the experience, 22 starts, the toughness, the dual threat ability of Stockton, and the proven ability in big, so that check is like a check plus in both boxes. And then you got to win on the lines. And you look at their rushing yards per game and per attempt, and then defensively what they're allowing per game, per attempt. It stacks up with some of the best teams in the country. So I like Georgia. I think after the bye week, we're going to see a rejuvenated version of Georgia. But I also think that there's a handful, I mean, quite honestly, if you told me right now five teams got in from the SEC, I'd be like, "Good, can we get six?" I mean, honestly, I know it's absurd, but that's kind of where I sit. I know. Okay, let's circle it back to the SEC, because I want to start with the Big 12, because we never start with the Big 12. And then I want to ask a Miami question. So I'm reminding myself here before we turn this into the SEC Big Ten, which wasn't really even the plan, but let's stay in this right now. BYU's got the game against Utah. And I went from really skeptical about BYU to seeing their physicality against Notre Dame, not expecting that part of it. You know, Bear is still probably not going to be my favorite quarterback, but he was so accurate in the first half against them. I'm actually willing to give them, like, I look at their loss against UCF. UCF balled last weekend. Oh, no question. Ballers everywhere. And I don't look at that going, "Oh, hey, BYU's a fraud." You know, I don't, I don't really like doing that. Like, there's some teams I feel that way about, but with the BYU win, watch that game. Let's have this conversation real quick. I hear, I do hear you on that, and they did ball. And it's a Scott Frost team, and, and it's the bounce house. And it's, it's the week after Notre Dame, right? And that quarterback thought he was Mike Vick for an afternoon, okay? Right. And it's a backup quarterback. I'm talking about the confidence. He's the backup too, right? Yeah, my goodness. Could he, I mean, he was a. His own nickname, Lights Out. But, but. But isn't that what we see in the SEC every, every week? You know what I mean? Like, it's not just about the one game. It's about the sustaining it every week. But go ahead. Yeah, I mean, you don't have to convince me of the SEC part of it, where I go like, okay, so Georgia's got Florida in a rivalry game rank. They have to go to Ole Miss. And then, oh, by the way, before you play South Carolina, that's turned things around, you have to play a great Mizzou. And when I line that up against other teams, and we can keep doing this, like, bam. Bama's got the LSU game. LSU's off. They've got Bama, which you never know how that game's going to go between. LSU's got the worst, the hardest path of all of them. And I think they might actually be the best team right now. The trade has greens back. They've got number four of the receivers is emerging as an absolute star, Jackson Harris. But, Reed, do you have their schedule in front of you? Yeah, it's Bama, Texas, and Tennessee three straight weeks after being off this week. And you just, so, like, this is part of the Big Ten thing where I get, like, pissed about it because I go, well, if you just think that's the same as going through what a Big Ten team's going to face four weeks in a row, like, we're just going to disagree. We're just going to disagree forever, and there's no point in wasting any time on any of that kind of stuff. But if I stay with the Big 12, because I don't want to get distracted here, Utah's weird, where I kind of used to think that they were better. The Colorado game freaked me out. The game against Houston's an incredible comeback, you know, but you're like, man, Dampier's all over the place with them, so I don't know that. I trust him. I think I trust Bachmeier more than I trust Dampier. And the fact that Texas Tech isn't going to play anybody. Absolutely, by the way. Absolutely trust Bachmeier. Yes, but go ahead. Although, you know, Cincinnati getting Tech, your boy J.C. French IV. I love how he's my boy. Cincinnati should, feels like a tougher out. Like, that wasn't a fluke at all. If anything, they were making mistakes. No, Cincinnati should have, should have, could have won. The previous two games. I mean, they, they were right there and couldn't finish it off. So, I'm asking you, like, do you look at it as, hey, it's BYU and everybody else, and you're going to be upset if there's a second Big 12 team in there? And granted, this has a lot to do with what's going to happen with the conference championship game. If, like, a win cancels out, like, oh, this is, like, could a win in the Big 12 championship game mean two teams in? Because the collective work of 13 games, you're going to go, hey, we can't have two of these teams. Ow, we've got to have the second one in over a three-loss SEC team. Yeah, I, I think it comes down to this. Like, as we get close to, and we're at that point for the committee, right? Looking at, it's okay to have a three-loss SEC team in if, if they're actually better. Based off of, hopefully, people in that room looking at, at the talent level, how they've played as a team, what they had to go through with strength of record, all of those things. Um, I, honestly, I would rather, so, let's, let's flip it to the Big Ten before we answer this. How many teams does the Big Ten deserve to have in? As I'm watching 17-13 and 13-10, and, I mean, the Big Ten has been a bore. And now you've got Julian saying, oh, Dante Moore's done for the year, and Oregon was done before, that, that kind of. Is it all about the quarterbacks, by the way? I mean, what UCLA's doing, a lot of it's scheduled, but they've done it with two different, and Dieffenbach, and relief of Imali Alba. Sane has regressed. I read your report on him this morning. I completely agree. I thought physically he would look better. Hoover, I hope, is hurt, um, which they said he is, between an arm and wrist injury, where they thought I've even benched him in the Michigan game. Northwestern, shout out Chip Kelly in that crew. Because the fact that Aiden Shiles, a quarterback, like, I watched the beginning of the year, I'm like, I can't believe this guy's still getting a starting gig right now. And, um, there you go. Uh, I actually like Wisconsin's deal. I don't have a problem with my Alba at all. Oh, I like my Alba. I just, it's that USC, every time you want to, like, cling on to some hope that they finally hit stride, Saturday happens, you know? Right. And then you go, Illinois is on their backup, where I kind of would, like, watch Hauser play for Illinois and going, is this what Sane would look like without Jeremiah Smith? Um, Oregon, Oregon, like, the Raiola thing, that was fun for a half against SC. Iowa is already down. They're kind of their backup. So, Michigan, that story goes on and on. And then Penn State was, I'm wondering if the Big Ten, which it's worth reminding everybody here, if you do the Power Four and Notre Dame records here, the SEC's 10-2 this season, the Big Ten's 4-10 behind the Big 12 and the SEC that also have losing records and Power Fours, because the SEC's had a really good year with all that stuff and how much that'll matter. Is the Big Ten about the three teams being overrated or is it about, like, the quarterbacks that are still playing regressing and the fact that half the league's on a backup? Yeah. I guess my point. point in bringing this conversation up is i think the preconceived notion of well the big 10s won the last few national championships and and the big 10s resurgence and the big 10 is is it in some ways it is a little bit deeper right because you just listed like northwestern's a lot better than what we thought wisconsin's actually a really tough out um and playing really top five in the country and they're playing great ball man um i i love iowa if i love 21 players starting players on iowa you know it's just like but watching their games it's punishing i promise i i had i was my like coming into the year sleeper team minimum nine wins probably still will um during the regular season but but i i'm but i watch it and the quarterback play i knew it wasn't gonna be good going to be good but i didn't know it could be this punishing i watched i think it was three interceptions with two different quarterbacks on saturday man so i i just and is the magic carpet gonna like disappear and chesney and ucla or they're just gonna keep this up like i'm here for chesney i'm here for what ucla is doing that's one of some of the best team football you're gonna see so like if it is ohio state and indiana and ucla fine but but is there a fourth that really is going to deserve it when it when it's all said and done and maybe is it just two truly what if what if ucla loses the sc they're 11 and one and bama loses the lsu and then runs the table and they're a nine and three team ucla is getting in but we all know the better the better team the better like collection of talent and and then and then you'd be looking at lsu that on a what a four game with three or four game winning streak to finish the season levitt's playing at a high level man do we talk sam levitt right now no i will not yet we can't okay noted but do you get what i'm saying that there's only 12 spots and one goes to non-power four and if it's three to three or four to to the big 10 let's say it's four that's four plus the one non-power four that's five then if it's two to the big 12 then you're down to then it's seven then one of the acc is eight so you're maxing out at five teams from the from the scc or i'm sorry 14 four teams from the scc you can't get in the fifth i don't know it's just it and there's so much ball to to play out right especially in the scc and we could have multiple i mean lsu could be a four loss team we're still looking at him being like my gosh if they got in that tournament they're not gonna you know anyway yeah look against bam i have no idea with this one you know usually you kind of go into this game being like yeah we'll see i mean some stuff's gonna have to go their way but they never made mistakes with saban if it's keelan russell second half texas a&m bama probably wins that game um because he's gone through that stretch where you're like all right you know this is what you'd expect from a young quarterback you saw it a little bit against george in the second half the tennessee game was abysmal um there's still stuff with bam a week to week where i'm like what are they on offense you know and then sometimes when ryan coleman williams is at least out there he hasn't played the last couple weeks you go who cares yeah that's been huge man he uh ryan coleman williams for for all the frustration last year and for all the disappointment i don't think people quite understand the turnaround he's made from last year he's so far better than he was as a freshman and everyone goes back to oh his freshman year this guy's running routes this guy's showing some toughness he's catching the football which he wasn't doing last year he changed his number he changed his name and he's playing the best ball of his life this year it's just he's got to be on the field for them to be successful that's been that's been one of the biggest things okay so we've turned this into a bit of a like what do you do with all these scc teams which people would probably expect me to do and i'm not maybe even as far along as you are but i'm not as far along as you are and i'm not as far along as you are on like what it's going to look like but yeah i think there's going to be a 93 schedule what's it's really easy i mean the rest of the way they've got nevada coming up um i think minnesota's the only other like kind of tough game here because i don't know that could be a no it's at minnesota illinois at home um i don't know if hauser if he's expected to come back by then or not um i could it's sometimes it's hard to keep up with these big 10 quarterback injuries um at michigan i mean michigan's one of the best defenses in college football so it's not going to be fun and you wonder like ucla's done this kind of one-dimensionally too which is the other impressive part about their run game they're just gashing wayne knight has been awesome and that right that offensive line yeah i mean it feels like there's another loss in there a three loss team i mean as you read that they could but like you want to pick usc yeah but you could against so maybe there's a nine and three texas maybe there's a nine and three bama maybe there's a nine and three lsu and we're talking about it against 11 and one ucla and every single one of us that i think would be fair if we had to pick a neutral game would pick the other team and not pick ucla i don't think the committee will do that and the problem is it becomes so political the entire time is that there's not going to be one person that comes from a fan base of any of the other conferences that is going to think that it's a genuine conversation they're just going to look at the standings they're going to say hey this is what it should be um you know kentucky we haven't even talked about it yet but i think it's going to be a genuine conversation and they're just going to mentioned here they're off this week they're lost to bama watching it like that was just one of those games where the score looks really bad but it got so bad so quickly they outplayed alabama in the first half of that game they did minchi hasn't had a pick since that game but they're at tennessee which despite their loss to south carolina who's kind of figured this thing out they're tennessee's defense is incredible i love the receivers again they've got flora they're at tennessee i think i just wonder if the standings and the extra losses if there isn't there's going to be a lot of cancellation of some of these teams and this is we're going to hear the second big 12 part of it you're going to wonder is there any other acc team is it the fourth big 10 team that's in the conversation not four necessarily from the conference that's what's going to happen let's go back to the big 12 byu has done something where you're like i believe in that team and if byu turns over they run the table like yes in the regular season like yes they beat notre dame we know what they are utah can be up and down but utah i like utah i think utah are you going to pick them against byu no no but what has texas tech done even prior to the loss i know you've watched it looks nothing like last year's el matador club team it's not even close to the same defense the defense last year was off the charts you could talk about the scheduling and then like but you know it's kind of funny because you watch baron morton in the bowl game against oregon and you're like hey this is why we all kind of are like whatever and then you were excited about the will ham and stuff that you saw in the utah game when morton was getting knocked around i was just not look good i was very excited about him and that part of it hasn't happened arizona oddly enough maybe the key to what happens the fight is the best player in the country that no everyone refuses to talk about i love that guy they they they they they they they they they they they they other than the byu loss they've been kicking everybody's ass and they're going to have texas tech and they're going to have utah so arizona might be the key to what the big 12 story is here that's must watch by the way saturday texas tech for that defense which i will say watching some of the tape is is playing better than i kind of thought just watching on saturdays but but it's certainly not last year's group but texas tech's defense going against fafita on on saturdays saturday like i'm i'm here for that we have gone in circles on this i don't know if it's good or bad but i i still have so we cover ucla yep you've got three teams in the top seven in the big 10 ohio state indiana and then what happens if ohio state loses two more well it's going to be like all of these like who am i comparing them to this is where i hope like ohio state is not penalized for scheduling texas because that's the shit that i can't stand is when somebody's like wow you know they got the extra it's like okay you played central who gives a fuck and they went down to austin and they lost a game where most of us probably left that game saying within a week they're probably still better than texas yeah yeah they're gonna be a tough one because it depends on on where they are at quarterback at the end of this thing right in today's new york nobody carries cash anymore but harry lehman still makes a living the old-fashioned way john tuturo stars in the only living pickpocket in new york as a legendary thief who refuses to change with the times harry survives on charm instinct and decades of street smarts but when an maslani will price and steve beshemi the only living pickpocket in new york is a thrilling funny An unmistakably New York story about survival in a city that's changing faster than ever opens October Can you do a little on San here for me? Frustrating watching him prior to the injury. I thought he got off season two a really good start distributing. I love how I was worried Arthur Smith was going to come in and still try to ground and pound. Known for the run game. He just opened the thing up. And that was great to watch. I feel like, here's the thing with Julian. I thought he would, honestly, there are times where I'm like, his arm's good enough. And now it's like, I don't know. Even that touchdown that he threw to Jeremiah Smith. It was a terrible throw. And it actually was one of those, like, had it not been a terrible throw, those two defenders would have been in position to make a play on the ball, or at least contest it, right? And so it worked out to his advantage. Well, I think the corner spazzed because Smith is behind him. He spazzes. And then the safety, because of the throw, mistimes it. Mistimes it, yes. Because it's like, wait, that thing's still up there? Right. And so it was such a bad underthrow. And you've seen multiple cases like that. Occasionally, he takes off running. I want to see more aggressiveness. I want to see more aggressiveness out of him this year. I was hoping to see a guy who, like, with an offseason, hip rotation, all the things that quarterbacks are doing now, is going to be driving the ball a little bit more aggressively and with a little bit more energy, and utilizing his legs and becoming a little bit more dynamic as a playmaker to help supplement what they have at wide receiver. And it just, I haven't seen any growth in his game. That's the best way I can put it. And so, while I love him, I love him in that place, with those receivers, especially, obviously, Jeremiah Smith, in that system, start projecting to the NFL, and it's like, I can't, I was hoping I was going to get on board within this year and see that progress. I just, I haven't seen it. I'm with you, by the way, on that. We didn't mention Notre Dame. We were running through the numbers. Because if it were Big Ten 3, Notre Dame, Big 12, P6, ACC, that's five more slots. Then it's three in the SEC. That's, I knew the numbers were off. Because four is like, yeah, that's reasonable. It's three in the SEC. Well, that's if there's only one in the ACC, which, you know, wake the rest of the way. You're telling me right now. Who are all, so, Georgia, Kentucky. You want to go through the SEC in the top 12? It's Georgia 3. Yeah, go ahead. Kentucky 9. Bama. This is where it's just like a run of SEC teams. Kentucky 9. Bama 10. Texas 11. Ole Miss 12. And then it's Texas Tech, Wake, and then LSU. And like, look, the committee's going to do something different. Generally, the committee will do something a little bit different where theirs and the AP catches up and mirrors the committee. Like, it takes them a couple weeks to go. Maybe we've been doing it. Sort of weird. I mean, look, if you dig into that AP voting tracker. But what if Florida gets hot again? And like, they've kind of, the bye week, and they get things back. What if Missouri, by the way, with Austin Simmons playing at that level, Ahmad Hardy now coming in? Coming back, according to reports. What if they get hot? Yeah, maybe. But they also, how are they going to get hot? I mean, they've got Arkansas. Okay, fine, this weekend. And then it's like, okay, here's how you close your schedule. Texas, Georgia, Kentucky, and Oklahoma. Like, okay. Have fun. Like, there's a third loss in there, at least. Right. But if you win one of those two, and then you beat Kentucky and Oklahoma, I'm just saying, like, there's going to be a three-loss team or two. Two or three. Where we're looking at this thing saying, we're really going to keep that team out and let another Big Ten team in or a second Big 12 team in. That's my only point in all of this. So your point is like, whatever we've talked about with the hierarchy of the conferences is that the 26 evidence tells you, and I think I'm speaking for you here, is like, it's a fucking joke if you don't see the gap between the conference and the gauntlet here of these teams versus what these other conferences are facing. Yes. And the unfortunate part is we look at all these schedules, and I just did this the other day, that so many, I don't want to say backloaded because they're front, middle, and backloaded, but so many of these big matchups for Georgia, Texas, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama are happening in the next five weeks. And so, like, there's going to be a recency bias of, well, but they lost two games in the last five weeks where I'm saying, or they just lost to this team, but I'm saying, if Miami had to run that, how many losses would it have? How about Notre Dame? How about a second Big 12 team? That's my point in all of this because the level of play has been different this year at the SEC level than any other conference. 2007 season, which is what it's felt like certainly two weeks ago, where, you know, you just had all these teams that were number two, and then every single, like, hey, the last time number two lost, and it's like 2007, 2007's always the answer, and it was just such a fun season because it was wide open, and that's how LSU at that time prior to the playoff gets back in because they go, well, you know, one of the losses is triple overtime to Arkansas, who, you know, we could laugh about Arkansas, but back then, it was a really talented football team, and it was kind of like it cycled itself, you know, and then they go, what are we doing? And I think it's a good reminder now with 12 teams of that's where you could be looking at this final product of the 12-13 games where the committee might just go, yeah, we understand, but that's also, by the way, going through that part of the SEC schedule and assuming everything else is going to stay clean, and if it continues to go down this path, it's only going to help the SEC out if you have BYU losing one they're not supposed to lose, UCLA losing a second game in there somehow, if you're going to go ahead and pick USC, which I think would be a little optimistic based on the way SC's looked. Let's do some draft board stuff. Yep. QB1 right now is? I'll go CJ Carr, but the greatest upside of all of them is your boy, Drew Mestemaker. I got to be honest, man. Like, it's interesting. You go back and mention I've been talking a lot about it. I changed the way I evaluate quarterbacks after Mahomes. Give me traits over college production. And I think what's changed, too, is, like, we didn't talk draft during the season. NFL scouts I talked to in August versus September versus October versus November. Like, we're all going through it, right? But now that, like, every week, two, three times a week, talking about quarterbacks is, like, the ebbs and flows. But there's also a good reminder out there. You can get, like, two caught up in what's actually happening in college football, okay? The guys like Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar, their college careers weren't, like, they weren't Mendoza undefeated. It wasn't Joe Burrow undefeated, you know? And so it was drafted on traits. It wasn't drafted number one overall pick. It was drafted on, I see the ability, the ceiling, what he can be. And so I'm watching MestaMaker, and we can go back and laugh about, I just, I didn't give him the time of day. Like, he didn't play high school football. I talked to scouts in the summer. I talked to scouts in September. We're like, yeah, he's got to be back. We'll deal with, and then all of a sudden, he keeps putting up these, forget the numbers, putting out this tape with these performances and the movement in the pocket and the throwing on the run. And the arm talent and the playmaking instincts. And you're starting to be like, we got to deal with this because this is that of a, of a potential number one overall pick or a top five pick. And Josh Allen was, I mean, there were times where he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Lamar Jackson going back and watching a tape was like two or three intercept, maybe four interceptions. And it was something crazy and missing throws behind receivers and completely, well, 49% at some point stretches. You go and Mahomes and the losses and they've completed like throwing the ball almost 50 times a game and wildly bad decisions and mechanics all over the place. But you go and look at the things they can do and the throws they do make and the escape ability they do show and those traits and you start to really focus on what they can do. And you start to see a clearer picture. Now, the trouble is in this class, you've got, you've got a mess to maker with those traits. You've got an arch with those traits. You got a sellers with those traits. You got a Leavitt with those traits. I think all three of those guys will and should return back to school. So where does that leave us with this class? Mess to maker is the most talented. CJ Carr is the most NFL ready, even though it's just, second year as a starter, this guy gets between his ears the progression reads pre-snap in and out of plays all those things floor high ceiling not as high with mess to make her i don't know what changed for everyone so much on on dante moore because he was the same guy this early this season i just i've literally finished his tape i watch every snap of his tape including portland state which normally i would have thrown out that tape but i just don't have enough tape this year so i want to get everyone nothing's the oklahoma nothing's changed so is the oklahoma state tape on him is that the offensive line's fault well it was o-line problems it was a defense it was an absolute disaster it was the first time they had ever played together like they just grabbed 11 talented guys off the street and i don't know what was going on the second there with communication they also had never heard of mess to make her it appears like they didn't know that he could move at all and then it was the the running back on the very last play of the off what was it a drop or a fumble i think it was a fumble right um it was multiple drops by the receivers yeah he missed a sail route to the to the left side there were a couple there's a fourth down throw in there that i i didn't love because it was just like i think a three-man rush beat the pass protection and then maybe he my notes i was reading my notes today because i had done that tape previously so i watched the other three um and he threw in there was like three defenders there not a good decision yeah fourth down um but my point is everything else was really really good and i'm watching the tape today and i'm like he doesn't have we we do one's elite two's good three's average four's below five is is marginal he's got a two arm it's not it's not elite but it's not it's not just at like his arms he's got a little bit more energy than than than mensa mensa is another guy who i think high high floor is a good guy and he's got a two arm it's not it's not elite but it's not it's not just at ceiling so you've got these three guys in cj car who i think is the best of the group mensa and dante more who are right system don't have elite traits but are really smart really get it i think the best pure passer of that group is is dante more still but then you've got mess to maker on the other side right and trinidad chambliss who he's short he plays i think he plays the position better than anybody like in the moment of when you need it i think he's the guy i would trust on third and seven more than anybody else in college football no question but he he's short there's been some erratic tape this year there's no question about it but for the most part like look at what he does look at that georgia game in the playoff last year look at actually the miami tape even though they didn't put up big numbers how awesome he was in that game given the circumstances look at the louisville comeback look at the florida comeback even though in a lot of ways they didn't put up big numbers they didn't put up big numbers look at the second half this is like he's a second half like he'll kill you he's an absolute assassin when the game's on the line and his team needs him and so i i don't he's a first rounder so this this class sucks it's overrated we did it again i can't believe it mcshay and piper and and and jeremiah like you guys could you do it like ah you told dante more to come back you ruined his this class sucks it's overrated we did it again i can't believe it mcshay and piper and and jeremiah right it's still a pretty good group and there's some depth like myava some teams are fringe first round on on him out of usc and we got a group of like i said arch and levitt and sellers you talk about traits where the college stuff isn't as good as you want it to be and you get frustrated and all that but they come back for another year those three guys and throw in keelan russell if he decides to leave early after next year or uh and and camario taylor so i i don't know i just i'm always the glass half full you and van pellet used to make fun of me i'm an eternal optimist i've had people say i'm uh i'm a um oh what it was there was a line recently someone had that i'm i'm uh it's like detrimental like how optimistic i am but i look at it like yeah give me five guys that could go in the first round and that that's a really good group we've had two each of the last two years we had six in 2020 2024 that won the top 12 and that was like as good as 1983 right so i'm still kind of optimistic about this group even though it's not nearly as good as we thought it was coming into the year okay i have like a quick thing so give me enough time but you haven't mentioned arch yet so you are very much like early on this of like hey i think he might just come back next year anyway um your review of what this year has been like from him i love because you didn't mention that that no i didn't well i i mentioned yeah maybe i didn't but you didn't mention him as one of the five first rounders no because i don't think he i don't think he's i think he's coming back and i think he should um i love watching him the first two series last or maybe it's just the first series last week where it's like pro style shotgun but pro style get your read top of the three-step drop out of the gun plant the back foot reads their decisive rip it second that's the first throw second one's the same thing but now he's beating the blitz his eyes are in the right place here's let me give you my 60 seconds on it i think sark is actually one of them i think there are very few guys in create one-on-ones and opportunities on specific plays thirds and sevens whatever it is and actually scheme up hey this guy's open okay i actually think some of the and i called the other day the stuff you know the the orbits the the the um jet sweep the the misdirection the all the other stuff right i think that there are times if if used properly in the right situation they're great opportunities like you get you get a guy like wingo number one with his speed and his explosiveness he has created oh i get this guy who's inconsistent catching ball but has been better this year just get him an easy catch on the move with momentum a runway go i think he's brilliant in that way i but that can be true and what also can be true is that maybe he's not the best quarterback developer for let's get this guy ready to the for the nfl not because he doesn't know the game not because he doesn't communicate well any of that stuff but i'm watching an offense that feels disjointed for a series we come out and we're pro style we're going to run we're going to play action off of it we're going to get to the top of our drops it's not if the corner goes here we go there the corner goes there we go here look off the safety come back to this and and when arch is in that and is believing his eyes and trusting it he can be really good but what happens as a quarterback is you need rhythm and and so when you do that in the first series and things are going well and you come back in the second series and it's jet suite to orbit suite to screen to this to the day all that other stuff you kind of it's like this you get unbalanced as a quarterback and now you become this just like you're the distributor kind of like press the button and you're like oh my god i'm not going to be able to do this on the on the joystick ball goes there and you're not in control again i think the thing that people forget about or don't realize about the quarterback position is you have to empower that guy there is a confidence there is an a an emotional and a mental part of playing that position where you have to be empowered i don't see an empowered quarterback playing for sark for four quarters series to series so sark's great sark's a genius sark's play calling sometimes sark's play designs are off the charts but maybe it's just not fitting with with with arch in terms of like his art and his development now there's the other thing too and if i'm just going to be like truth serum here you and i talk into the bar there is a there is a concern in the back of evaluators mind this is your four even though you have all that and maybe you don't feel balanced or confident you don't have you're not empowered and all that but so throw a couple screens but stay but get back in rhythm and know where to go with your eyes and why does it feel like a lot of times it either has to be a total clusterfuck scramble drill everything's on the line fourth and seven pressures come and you're running around making a crazy throw or it has to be part of that first two drives and scripted that you've run through it at practice and you feel really comfortable with your eyes go everything in between is shoddy holding on to the ball lack of decisiveness not confident what you're doing so it creeps into evaluators minds of does he get it the the football smarts why four years later in the system second year as a starter are we not so all of it can be true or some of it can be true and it's leading there's a cause and effect bottom line i think art should come back i think there's development that still has to happen i still think Like, Arch can be a really good pro. I would love to see him. And I haven't heard anyone else say that. I've heard Georgia. I've heard Ole Miss. I've heard all different places of where he could transfer. We already talked about him, man. There's one guy that turned Bo Nix into Auburn laughable Bo Nix who got drafted 12th overall. There's one guy who turned Dylan Gabriel into a third-round draft pick. There's one guy that turned Dante Moore into, it's not working here at UCLA, let's come sit for a year. You go, okay, come sit here for a year, learn, and you take over the reins. And now we're saying, I don't know, the upside's better than him on Mendoza if he had come out. Or he would have been the number two overall pick. One guy, Will Stein. That's what my advice would be is to explore that avenue. Whoa. That'll be the breakout video, just so you know. So get ready for that one. Producing already? Yeah. I know you've got to run, so I'm just always trying to help. I was looking at your top 50. Watch KJ Bolden track down one of the Bamba skill guys on the left sideline. Eye-popping. This safety class is awesome. There's no top 10 pick. He's a little low. He's a little low for me on your board. All right. Von Homme, tight end, Iowa. Iowa, love him. Don't see him on your top 50. Just think. Because he's coming back next year. Okay. All right. And I know what you're probably going to say. You're going to say, hey, college legend, linebacker. It's you loving to Kobe Dean, although he's balling for the Raiders. I love him. Caleb Woodson, seven for Bama, is a game wrecker. I'm getting ready to do his tape. I'm not ruling on that. I haven't gone there. I will say this about you, Rossello. You've gone from laughable days of Tim Tebow's height and Colton McCoy to now you're stacking some bricks. You've shifted your emphasis to smaller school quarterbacks with traits and offensive line and front seven play. I like your arc, your scouting arc. I feel like you're heading in the right direction. Look, I got to tell you, the Tebow height evaluation, I had a girl that was with me that I thought he was going to take from me. And so I wanted him to be shorter in my mind. And then the Colt one, you're completely forgetting what that was because you and I bet and I actually bet against my guy, but we're not going to we're not going to go down that road because that's been paid with friendship. But I have I have started to put the work in. I feel like after 20 something years, some things are starting to pop on tape for me. It could be because sometimes the YouTube TV records the all 22, but it's not. It's not really the all 22. It's like the all 12. So you want come come March. I'm your left right guard guy because it's like the only I can't see the fucking receivers on this replay tape. And then I have to find like the different feed. So I could be your guy on some of that interior offensive line stuff. You know, you're the best. Check out the McShay report. It is awesome content. I'm not saying that because he's my guy. Like every single email alert I get on, I'm like, I am interested in this. And then I read it every single time. Then check out the McShay show. Bring her Spotify. To the kids listening, because I've got another parent that thought they were the only person that did it that I ran into that said, our son asked to put your podcast on and it was so he could fall asleep. So I've got to get whatever that public domain thing is. Maybe I'm going to get a new one. Maybe I'm going to get IT on this. I've got to figure out a book. I'm going to go buy a book and then we're going to read it for the kids out there. And, you know, if we're putting kids to bed early and saving marriages, you know, fuck. That's for free. Yeah, if we pick one from like 100 years old, there's no royalties on that, right? Yeah. That's like Winnie the Pooh's all horror now, right? Killing people because he's 100 years old and they're doing stuff with like old, the first Mickey Mouse. You can just do whatever you want with them. So, yeah. Whatever you want. I think so, dude. If it really does work. I'm going to plug down. That's deep. There are no rules. I think so. I went to Barnes & Noble and bought like a new award-winning children's book and I taped it and I read the whole thing and I read it like very, you know, hey, about to tuck you in. Now this is getting creepy. Yep. Clips. Clips incoming. Yeah. I can't stop using that Kyle gif. You have used it a couple times. I'm sending it to people who don't even know who Kyle is. My reputation precedes me. That's great. Yeah. They're like, hey, does 12 o'clock work? And just Kyle. I want it to become something. I want Trump to use it. It's not even a political. Yeah, I know. I get it. Just the sheer numbers game. That would. Yeah, exactly. Huge. Yeah. All right. Get some. Oh, you know what? Little feedback on Cerruti. 100% agree with Cerruti on volume settings. The only proper settings for volume or room temperature are even numbers. Or multiples of five. Fuck one, three, seven, and nine. Correct. The odds taking it on a chin. I mean, it's definitely like an OCD thing. I would assume. I have a little bit of like a weird quirk when it comes to that stuff. But it's just like the difference between nine and 10 is not that big of a deal. And nine is insane. So it just bothers me. So that microwave thing that I told you about my buddy using the odd numbers. Like you just keep you like get out of the house. Yeah. No. Yeah. Zero. Zero percent chance. It would legit. I would like. I don't care what the package says. Yeah. Okay. SeaTac is the Poughkeepsie of Washington. I totally get that. It's a shithole. Yeah. It felt like a shithole. Wait. What are people saying about Poughkeepsie, man? Yeah. Damn. You know what? I mean, we just got a long road. I mean, we're getting grants all over the place. We're revitalizing the Kmart Plaza that was built on a landfill. They're figuring out what to do with that. You know? So like, I mean, that's fine. They can keep talking eventually. But, you know, I'm going to be the one holding the keys to a investment property over here and I'll be the last one laughing. So, you know, say what you want. I don't hate the idea of making a T-shirt that says Poughkeepsie, we could be Hartford. I don't know. I love that your entire, it feels like your entire Instagram algorithm is just Hartford content now because you just, you send a lot of it to Kyle and I. You're peppering us with it. That wasn't even like a joke one. That was just like a real Hartford influencer. It's like, all right, you're deep into it. Every time I see Hartford stuff. Which is any time I open up Instagram. I mean, golf swings, Muay Thai moves, girls. I don't see any of it anymore. No. It's all Hartford. Excel Center. Not complaining. Okay. Overage trick-or-treater. Good time for this one. 33 years old. I don't think that's too old, is it? Yeah. Whoa. 5'11", 209, pickup comp is a 200, 2014 Ford F-150. Still reliable. That doesn't run like it used to. It's seen better days. Dumb joke, I know. That's fine. Mine wasn't killer off the top. So, with Halloween approaching, my wife and I were discussing our plans for the big night. We have two young kids, ages four and one and a half. So, we will do the usual brief early trick-or-treating and head back home to pass out candy ourselves. Which is something I've enjoyed doing since buying a home and being in a neighborhood where kids actually trick-or-treat. But every year I'm bothered by the one kid, quote, kid, that trick-or-treats at our house. He's our neighbor from a couple houses down. He's definitely closer in age to joining the army than he is to joining the army. joining Little League. This kid's probably 16. He's not one of those teenagers that looks like he could pass for 12, big for his age. He's about 6'3", 290, and has a job bagging groceries at the grocery store near our house. In the past few years, he knocks on the door in no costume or slight attempt to be dressed up in a costume and says, trick or treat. He doesn't even trick or treat with his younger of age siblings. In the past few years, he's come over to trick or treat every year I'm annoyed. Do I do anything about it? Absolutely not. I still hand over candy, albeit only a single piece rather than my usual handful that the other kids get. I'm not the type that says anything, so there's no way I would turn him away empty-handed. I brought it up to my wife, to which she doesn't see the issue with it. She always says, quote, there are way worse things teenagers can be doing than just trick or treating. And she's 100% right. Exclamation point. I totally get that there are plenty of other things this teen could be doing, but at least put a little effort into it. So I need input. From the crew, am I just being a curmudgeon or would that annoy you all too? Do I toss a line like really went all out on the costume or what are you supposed to be? I'd love to hear what you all have to say and hope you have a happy Halloween yourselves. I think the one fun size drop in the candy bucket is a statement in itself. Maintaining eye contact. Yeah, I think you don't know what's going on with this guy that he's still doing it. He's not doing it with friends or doing it ironically. You know, I'd feel even better about that. Like, I don't know what this kid's got going on. This could be the biggest night of the year for him, which would be really sad. So I think I like the I like the one piece drop. A little quip is good. But yeah, I wouldn't get in your head about this. It's strange. You're right. You're not wrong. But I would certainly bring it up to my wife. I would, you know, maybe even if I was friendly with a neighbor, like, hey, you mother fuck this kid to your wife. I think I would. But you know what, Kyle? Kyle did. And I wasn't going to say I wasn't going to, like, go in on the kid. But Kyle kind of made me sort of pick the other side in that, like, yeah, maybe maybe he just likes trick or treating, man. Like, maybe is he a nice kid? Maybe he's a really nice kid. And like, if he's an asshole, it's easier to be like, hey, this kid's also like, you know, TP in people's houses. And he just generally sucks. But if he's if you don't really know, he seems to be nice enough. I mean, the dressing up thing is kind of annoying. But like, maybe he realizes he's maybe too old, but still kind of wants to do the charade thing. I don't know. Going solo to that's like, hey, man, is he actually not really have any friends? Like, is he is kind of a loner? I would I would not be mean to that kid. I'd give him the candy. The one thing is fine. Talk behind his back to your wife. But like beyond that, what like what are your other options? Are you going to start a petition in the town? You can post in the town Facebook group being like, what the hell is the deal with this kid? So his parents see it like there's no good outcome here. Yeah. Because I know the Poughkeepsie next door is like a place to be, dude. It's the place. It's the most addicting thing on social media is the town is the town Facebook page. It's just, man, people were crazy. I hadn't got I wasn't on Facebook for years, but my brother got me on next door. And like, we know we know like the MVPs, you know, we know like the MVPs. And like, you know, we know like the MVPs. You know, like the first team all next door. He's like, do a drop. Cheryl, just post another one. You have to check it out. Like, yes. Yeah, there's there was one. I mean, now we're gonna go off a tangent, but like, it'll just be like, hey, did anyone else hear that noise? Or there was one where like, not even anonymously, this woman posted like about her kid being like, hey, my kid's like kind of a weirdo and like was just shitting all over a kid publicly on Facebook. Not again, not anonymously. Like, that's a bummer for that kid being like, hey, he needs friends. He doesn't have any outlets. What should he do? It's like, well, first off, his mom shouldn't be posting publicly on Facebook. Yeah. Anyway. 290 bags of groceries. I'd say leave this kid alone. I think we know it might be one of the many fears I would have about having a child is if he was a massive loser. Although that's a window for one of you guys to be quick and be like, well, you'd have a lot in common. But I just You know, I think one of the saddest things is just a very tough, like socially awkward kid. And when you know, your kid doesn't have any friends. And so if you try to see the world through the lens of like, I don't know, maybe he's the coolest fucking kid in the school. And they're like, hey, this guy gets a discount on Gatorade. It's awesome. So I don't know. But I feel like you're painting a picture of somebody that like, you kind of get it. And then you think back to like, your husband. school days and go, man, that had to be really rough. Like what a bunch of dicks. Everybody else was. And so if the worst thing this kid is doing, because he doesn't have, by the way, this means he also doesn't have any friends that want to hang out with him on Halloween. I would say just give him the candy, man. And maybe maybe this is that way. Yeah, right. I totally get your point. I understand you being annoyed. And yeah, maybe it'd be like, hey, school shooter again this year. Maybe there's some, some like, comment of you didn't put anything into it. Or wait, what are you just to hear his answer might be kind of funny. But my guess is this kid is probably struggling a little bit. And if a win for him is free fucking candy throughout the neighborhood, despite not much effort, I would let him have that win. Case closed. Yeah. 30 year old me would answer that differently. I think I think me too. Six three, though. What was it? Six three 190. Like, channel that to 90 to 90. Yeah, dude, do you need a tackle? Like, what's the football coach doing? We blindside this thing, right? Yeah. I don't know how many reps his kids get a tackle. I mean, it hasn't happened yet to get some aggression out. I don't know. Small towns, you know, some of these guys are going to eight man, they can't even feel the team. So yeah, we had a guy like that, who was just enormous. They were like, he's, he's like, I'm going to Tennessee. Guys are like, you're not even way good here. What are you talking about? And he was like, NFL left tackle size in high school. And, you know, that mean, I think that kid is like, you hear your helmet and pads like you, you have to go out there for you going to juvie, you know, he just didn't love the game. All right. Am I a jerk? Gentlemen, avid listener since before Ryan got his name on the show. Yes, ma'am. I love that. That's just like, defining line, because it gets referenced all the time. Anyway, Van Pelt and I had a good catch up session the other day. And we usually veer into all sorts of fun story time on that. Anyway, 66 300 pounds. Damn. Do you do any trick or treating by yourself lately? D three hoops in my 240 pounds years. I can't. I have a D three rant. And it's a good rant. Like I'm, I'm envious of all you D three years out there because it means you could definitely hoop you know, you meet him like I had 2100 points in high school or something like that. It's like you probably just weren't big enough for your position or maybe you weren't the greatest athlete. And even though I'd love the pressure of like running out of the tunnel at Texas, there's something to be said of like a small New England college that's not near anywhere else. It's like you don't want to play D three in the shadow of Ohio State. But if you're like D three, 30 miles from a highway. Yeah, it must be awesome. Because you're just you get to do like all the normal stuff. You're still competitive. You got the gear, you're on the team. It's a cool thing to have. But you also kind of can be a normal kid. So shout out to the D three years out there, man. Envious of you guys in those days, a poor man's debtless shrimp lived off a corner threes and crafty post play. I hope so. Try to be concise. Three hour road trip this weekend to watch an NBA game. My wife and I three hours for NBA game. This guy's into hoops. My wife and I are in our mid 40s, but have a group of friends in their late 20s, early 30s. I don't think you hear that a lot. No, I keep moving. All right. Wow. And there was a 30th birthday celebration, which was the purpose of the long weekend. The age difference is noted purposely because my passengers Yes, I drove the entirety of the six hour trip and BD don't know life without smartphones. While I have fond memories of childhood vacations helping navigate in the backseat via Rand Malley Atlas. We've talked about the Atlas terrifying for me. Yeah. Did anyone make money shorting the Atlas world? Not gonna see Adam McKay write that script. All right. The young wife is sitting up front with me. First comment starts 20 minutes into the drive with why isn't the map up? My reply was a polite. We're a couple hours away from needing it. No, the first two and a half hours are all interstate with one turn. We all made dozens of times. It's kind of like that drive from Portland to Eugene. Like we're good. Unless you want to stop in Albany. Her Oh, you think you can do this whole thing without a map? Me? Yes, but we can turn it on if you like. She does. And that's when it went from annoying to judgy. Her Why isn't the icon going straight? The dumb app is going the wrong way. Slightly confused. I asked the wrong way. Second, no, I don't use the maps app very often. So I've never personalized the display specific to the story. The icon goes directly on the map. So if I'm going south from where the icon is traveling down, it doesn't constantly face the top of the screen, which I gathered was the more popular option. We're traveling southeast. So the orientation of the icon blew their minds. I've been there. I stayed off Google Maps for years before I figured out how to turn that thing around. I was just like, I guess I'm an Apple guy now. Yeah, like I'm such a good sniper. I can't figure this out. Uh, anyway, 30 minutes. then began of the younger passengers berating me over the icon being quote wrong and quote dumb my wife didn't speak up but that's a topic for another email i repeatedly pointed out that i can look at the map and know which way to turn based on the orientation of the icon and assumed an on-time arrival after the final jab quote there's no way you will get these turns right it's going the wrong way how do they know where we're going your wife started a riot and just walked away it's crazy i upped the intensity of my response to maybe my brain is just bigger than yours and i don't need my car to force feed me north south east and west that's some bad stuff right there yeah there's the age gap classics this really affected the mood in the car and a little way into the weekend a man can only be pushed so far my question is um am i expected to be to be bold am i wrong and dumb for the entire three hours or can i invoke the nuclear option when backed into a corner or am i just the high strong old guy yelling at the kids to get off my lawn thanks guys um final note both my friend's wife and my wife are very attractive so maybe i just chalk this up to hot girl energy yeah they've likely been not corrected a ton i mean just from the start hot wife and good with the nav skills like that's you're ahead of like 95 of the population there that's that's that's a w for you like you're right he's right here like he's in the right no one's saying he's wrong congrats to you like i one of the most embarrassing things about me in general is i am just a bad navigator like i just i i've technology has just made me softer and i just i probably don't pay attention as much and i do have the nav on like way more often than i should including like things in my own town um and i hate it i hate it i'm embarrassed it's like it's it's it's you know makes me feel like a lesser of a man and but i don't know i don't maybe i just got i just got to on the road i also don't drive as much anymore every day but i am jealous of people who are just like hey i don't i don't need this and so i would be like this guy's the fucking man but clearly you're in a car with people who are are just not as cool as you i agree you're cool and um i think you should just you should just be happy you got a hot wife you're a good nav guy yeah i found that the wife's girlfriend in my experience if they're in the passenger seat they like to be a bit of a co-navigator sort of person so maybe she just wanted to get involved with it but then like the wrong and sent us the wrong place she took no responsibility whatsoever you know what i mean like they want to be involved and then when it was like we're 40 minutes away from where we're going remember we're going to the la la fair and she put in like pomona instead of where she put she didn't put in the right thing whatever and as we're getting there i'm like what the hell and she still to this day will not accept any sort of responsibility but i understand they want to be involved and uh so i understand wanting the screen on even if you're like yeah i don't really need uh but yeah everything that happened after that that's just that's annoying and i think you charge it to the game because you know you're a captain captain has to keep cabin cool at all times yeah it's almost like to them it'd be like sitting at home and watching tv and then standing up to change a channel which i did for my dad he'd be like get in here and change the channel before we had a remote and it you know i mean sometimes you were glad he was paying attention to you so you're just like i'm just i'm just glad i'm part of this so yeah i think to suri's point it like blows people's minds like i have lived well i don't live in la but i've had a drive through la and it's pretty simple it's up or down and there's three different ways you can do it and if you had to have me do it blind i mean i'd figure it out because you'd be like okay the ocean's supposed to be on this side and the other stuff's on this side the hill north right yeah i i couldn't tell you a street like all that stuff that you used to know and you go you want to turn on this street it's like knowing the the name of a song now you know i don't maybe you do it now more with the apps or cds it just became numbers so maybe songs have come back probably have because of the apps but i don't know the names of any streets or like how do you get there which is everybody in la's favorite conversation i'm like i just go up or down i used to think about that though even just like in in you know in my town or whatever whatever town you live in like pre internet whatever and you're just like hey i want to go to like my friend's house and you got or you know you got to bring your kids somewhere like hey what's the address and it's like dude i don't i don't how how do people do that it's by the dairy queen come on like how do people be like oh yeah it's on you know you know horizon we still write directions down you know so like you are to our emailer you lived in that world and you understood it their whole concept of any of that stuff they've never like he already knows that they just but the whole like the next level that they took it to is like do you think the guy doesn't know how to get there when it's one highway for two and a half hours and you're freaked out about the orientation like move on to a different topic like i think some people like to know the eta though like i get that i i'm kind of like all right how are we doing on time you know whatever that's that's actually really yeah but if a place takes three and a half hours like i know i know i'm not i'm just i'm not saying they're right i'm just saying seven minutes ahead of schedule yeah oh now it's so now it's only six you could have just done that like all right i'll pull over you could drive you know well this sedan of dudes is on your side so if that makes you feel better i did get an ad for this thing it's called the book i think or something and it it's literally just like a book of survival things in case like the world goes and don't think i haven't thought about that and i was like you know what there's some useful information there that i currently don't know that i i might want to buy this book it's just you know it's like how to find a fresh one that i didn't pull the trigger i was just something that's how it comes across i'm like i might look it up on google and do it that way but i don't know i just don't like clicking into stuff like that i'm trying to figure out how to do it i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i didn't click into it but i i watched the reel for it it was like it was just like yeah one of the things like how to find fresh water how to know if a if a plant is or not you know how to how to uh how to create like basically how to build a battery out of like scrap parts i'm like this is kind of kind of sick just saying i'd love if you built a battery next couple months let's know how that goes all right we'll do one more here um killer headline dream job 90 hours a week loneliest i've ever been uh 33 years old 61240 man just a ton of size off the bus today former college football player for a player comp think three-year jimmy butler first one in the building takes every assignment outworks everybody to the point where people start to wonder if it's healthy here's the situation um a vp at a young fast-growing startup i'm consistently the youngest person in the room the ceo trust me that works for me i'm the youngest person in the room i'm the youngest person in the room i'm the most strategic i'm good at it and i'm and i'll clear high six figures this year between cash and equity by every metric i should i would have set myself up at 25 i am killing it yet i've never been lonelier i'm working 80 to 90 hours a week life has entirely become the job the only routine i've maintained outside of work is the gym i'm single and haven't been on a date in over three months i've even interviewed three matchmakers which feels less like dating and more like another 10-month-old man i've never been lonely i've never been lonely i've never been to check off the to-do list the weird you are getting money that's good for you yeah yeah i wonder how that works i mean obviously i would never do anything like that no offense but i well no i'm not like no i'm not shitting on anybody who's doing it i'm just saying i don't like it i know it did that's why i said no offense but i i really mean it like you don't find any comfort there yeah you would be can you golf this afternoon no i'm meeting with a matchmaker my third one yeah this is i think this guy wants to hear it by the way right now he's so busy he can't actually like yeah i mean i guess there's apps right so all right so the weird part is that work has become my comfort zone i've been an extrovert my whole life but now going to a bar with friends makes me nervous is this everyone is watching me i would generally like i would generally rather be at my desk guess what no one's watching you all right you already know that though now ryan this question is probably primarily for you yeah you think by the way happy birthday to marlo saw the instagram stories so rudy me too four years old happy birthday just you know that was awesome thanks man she's dude she's the best she is absolutely the best she's crazy but she's the best oh she looks she looks great all right um so ryan well things were going well precisely because you work so hard when you stopped and asked what was it all for i don't know i think it was last week maybe um this is where i'm at right now i don't know if i'm just in a rut need to push through if i need to deliberately step back stop killing myself or i can use that time to build out the rest of my life what would you do in my position thanks chance lover pot yeah man i mean i don't know i don't know how deep i want to get on this one you guys got any thoughts i mean i'll say something eventually 33 yeah i think you could still grind that's cool old guy can't talk shit to you about how hard they worked that's pretty that's like a badge you can wear old guys love doing that shit and he's like dude i'm i'm putting in 90 every week i think the thing i'd ask like is there an end game here okay is there a moment where you go okay this is enough for me i would say the problem with most of the people and i don't really put myself even in that category of like you know think of truly public figures right people that are actors actresses singers all that kind of stuff. Like I look at some of the stuff these really famous people are doing where I'm like, Wendy, when isn't it enough? And I think the problem is they all look around and they go, it's never enough. Or because this person is doing this thing, like I need to go ahead and do this thing. And I think specific to like, at least with sports in my career, you'd always be nervous of like going, Hey, I'm totally fine. But then I look at the path of some of the people that were totally fine guys. Maybe it, you know, it takes a little bit longer, especially if you're doing national stuff. So like late thirties, forties or something, and they go, Hey, this is my lane. This is really good. This is the money I make. And you know, I don't, I don't need to be stressed out like all of these other people about like, how do I fit in? Where am I right now? Is this guy ahead of me? So like this stuff's all playing out a little bit more publicly, although none of us really talk about it. So that's different than just, you know, 90 hours a week, grinding startup company, making all this money. But I'm sure there's some similarities that you are keeping score with other people around you because you are competitive enough to kind of put yourself in this position to be like, okay, these are all the things that I'd want. I think a lot of the things that I've done, I've done a lot of the things that I've done, I've done a lot of the public figure people. It's never enough. You think it's enough. You think you're going to be done. And then you never actually are done because you're going to miss it or it's going to freak you out. Uh, that certainly happens in my field all the time. Yeah. I'm in the other bucket. Like I just like good example would be like, I had no idea. Like Will Smith is a great example that you made. You, you're great. You know, you're fresh Prince. You had all this music for whatever million movies, dude, you made so much money. Like go away. I know you had the whole like thing with, you know, at the, at the award show, whatever. But then you, like, then you're now, now you're trying to, to make music again. Like why? But like, yeah, you're right. Some guys are just like, I need to be back in the mix. I need to be real. I need to feel relevant. And for me, I'd be like, I had a good run, dude. I don't know. You know, maybe I'm just, maybe that's not a lack of ambition or whatever, but like, I just, I just think, you know, finding your lane and being happy in that is, is also kind of a, a, a key to just being happy in life in some ways. Yeah. But I, I, I've done a bad job here though, of like kind of getting off center because this guy's like, well, dude, I'm not, I'm not any of these guys. Like, it doesn't really fucking matter. But the, like the root of what I'm asking here is, are you somebody that's lying to yourself about when you think enough will be enough? And then maybe you get to that point and you keep moving the goalposts on yourself. So like, I would try to understand that part of it first and foremost. Like I know a hundred percent, like I'm not done trying to do things. Like I could be very content. Hey, I'm going to do this. Maybe I'll even do it two days a week, you know, in a couple of weeks. And I'll start dialing it back and all that stuff. And it's like, I like to work. I like to do stuff. I don't necessarily want to watch, you know, 60 hours of football and basketball every week until I'm dead. But I, um, I'm a little bit older, dude, please. Yeah. Look, I think I'm actually like, even though noted Kyle noted, um, you need to figure out like the, the cool thing about going through this is that you start to go, Hey, I need to start prioritizing this other shit. And clearly you've been able to prioritize really important stuff like career, finances, and all that kind of stuff where you have been like, I'm going to tackle this head on. And this is what's important right now. But now that you're feeling this way and you're this lonely and now you're starting to turn into like an introvert, which is like a very difficult thing to do where you're saying like, you'd be more comfortable being at work. Like you need to stop this. You need to get in front of it right now and go, Hey, if I don't like that, this is how I feel. Then I need to prioritize that part of it. And then chances are a man, you could probably dial it back a little bit. You could probably even go to somebody who is higher up that you trust. If you've kicked this much ass and said, Hey, you know what? Don't worry about it. But like, I need to start figuring out the other parts of my life. Like if you want a family and you want all those things, which clearly it sounds like you probably do approach it the same way that you've approached the job. Because I think the good thing about working in some of the private stuff is I feel like publicly everybody can tell when you're starting to pull back. You know, I think, I think the audience and I'll just make like the only thing that I understand if I started like going to cider festivals every fucking weekend and didn't watch any games, I think within a few weeks there'd be, Hey, you listen to his Monday show. Like, man, they were great. I'm third down, you know? Um, although I do say that now when I watch, so I imagine there has to be some sort of balance where you have to force the issue. Cause you're not forcing the issue. You're just letting it happen to you. And if there's one higher up that you can trust, who's not going to then like be telling somebody else like, Oh, Todd's going to start fucking mailing in or something like that. Like somebody that you can trust. And if this is somebody that has a family and has a wife, like this is something they should all understand. Anyone that's going after something really hard. I think all of us understand that you're going to sign up for something for a really long time, but if you kill it, then you should be able to check out and adjust after that. Unfortunately, sometimes it becomes such routine that you don't know any other way. So maybe that's your case. Uh, specific to me. I don't know, man. I mean, that's, that's a much longer podcast. So 90 hours a week, right? Is that because that's been your formula to success when you were 28 and you're just like, wow, this is, this works. Like, have you tried to tweak that? And I imagine like VP, like you could probably do a lot of shit from your phone, from your laptops. Like you're not, you're not necessarily sitting in the office 12 hours a day, are you? I mean, maybe you are. That's supposed to be part of the reward. You know, like you go through all of that stuff and you're 33, you've been doing this a little so long. Like you've, you know, I don't have enough information. I don't understand. Not everything's the same, but my guess is you've probably proven yourself that this is when you're supposed to start to see this reward, especially this young. I mean, maybe there's older people in business listening and be like, actually, dude, that shows up at like 45. If you really kill it, you know, again, I don't understand or don't have access to all the information on exactly like what field it is, but anytime you need that change in your life, you can think it, you can want it, but you have to prioritize it where you're like, this is actually becoming super important. Super important to me. Um, and, uh, I, I think if you're driven enough and you're smart enough, which it sounds like this guy is, you can make that happen, but you're starting some really bad habits. If you're starting to feel like you want to go to the office when you're out with your friends, like this guy, just for clarification, this guy is 33. And so he said, hi, six, six, one, two, 40, six, one, two, four. He's he, so he's making, he said, hi, six figures. So he's, you know, so more than half a million dollars a year. Yes. Like, so if it feels like there's an out for you, like if you're making that much money and you're working this much, you don't have many hobbies. Like it, it feels like the end, it should somewhat be insight. If you've managed your money like decently correctly, you seem like a smart guy, obviously, if you're doing this well, like, is there just like a, Hey, like I've got, this is my time. I've got 10 more years of this. And then like, maybe if you want to live in C-type, do something that I like, is there like a goal that you could set for yourself where you're like, Oh, this is the amount of money that I'm going to bank. That's probably still not enough to go like, Hey, I'm done. Well, it depends what his lifestyle is like, but he's alone. Like he's not, I can't imagine his expenses are that high. Yeah. So I don't know. I'm just, I'm just thinking like, you know, you still have plenty of time to like meet somebody and start a family. If that's what you want to do, or like start another side hustle hobby thing that you really are passionate about, whatever. Um, it doesn't really help you in like the meantime, but like, at least, you know, if it's not like, Hey, I can't do this right now. Can you at least set a goal timeline wise for five, 10 years and be like, this is my, exit strategy. And then I'm going to live happily, whatever, ever, ever quote unquote, like, is that even a realistic thing in your field or with what your finances are? Cause that's what I would do. Cause I mean, again, if you 10 years from now, if you're 43 and like, you could still, I don't know, you could still get married and have kids at that age. Like you're probably, you know, keep grinding. Well, I'm just saying you're doing pretty well. You could probably get, you know, bag like a younger wife and you know, there's still a good look. There's still a good life for you. Who are you talking to me or the email? Um, my guess is that this guy's pretty driven. He's an athlete. You know, you, you, I know what I do when I prioritize something. I'm like, I'm fucking doing this. And for the most part, I've had a decent run of like, Hey, this is what I'm going to do. Some things haven't worked out as well. Other things have, but I also know like of the list of priorities and you need to move this one way up for you. Right. You wrote an email and do a show. This is obviously bothering you. You need to not think and talk about it. You actually need, and I know this sounds like super simplistic, but you know, there's a problem. You don't like the way it makes you feel. Apply all of the strategy that you've had, the mindset that you've had with these other things you've been successful with. And you have to start doing that. And honestly, there's probably a way you've probably held yourself to some sort of fucking standard where like, I can only do it this way. Cause this is the way I did it. And you probably don't even need to do that. Uh, which I'm guilty of as well. Yeah. I think there's a difference between quiet quitting and taking a claw in a little bit of your life back. I think you got a lot of yardage in there that you can play with what, what works for you. Can you find five hours? Can you find like five hours? Are you just like put into something more enjoyable going out more being, you know, being more of an extrovert that you want to be this guy's next time he's at planet fitness. He's like, what are you doing this weekend? What are you doing? Cause that is true. Like if you don't, if it is a classic, like if you don't use it, you'll lose it thing. If you're not like going out and with people and whatever, like your conversation, your conversations are just going to, they're going to suck. They're going to lack. And it's like a muscle. You got to work that out too. So I don't know, find, find a few excuses to do that. Take five hours out of the work week and do something else that's in public. A couple of shrimp cocktails at lunch for you. Yeah. How's it going? I'm Dave. Do any of you own atlases? That'll do it for the show. Thanks to Tom, Kevin, his name's Rudy and Kyle.
