Pakistan and Afghanistan have said they will pause fighting for Eid. According to the UAE Moon Sighting Committee, Eid will begin on Friday, the 20th of March. Pakistani information minister Atala Tara said the pause in fighting will last from yesterday until midnight on the 23rd of March, in good faith and in keeping with Islamic norms. The Taliban made a similar announcement. In Iran, the pause gas field was struck yesterday. Pause is the Iranian section of the largest natural gas deposit in the world. Iranian media reported that the attack was carried out by Israel with the agreement of the United States. Neither country has claimed responsibility.
