This New Leak Changes Everything...

Well folks, Donald Trump is scared of dying. And according to insiders, according to reports, he is now in legacy building mode. And he's entirely focused on making sure that he is remembered fondly as opposed to helping the American people and doing things that help people who are struggling, which is a concerning story to say the least. I think any American could agree on that. The president should be focused on legislating, not creating their stupid ballrooms or the reflecting pool and stuff like that. But of course, Donald Trump has done the latter. And so we're going to get into the story. We're going to talk about his fear of dying as well. But let's start here with White House aides sounding the alarm over Trump's big obsession. White House insiders are sounding the alarm that Donald Trump is far more interested in building his own legacy than improving the economy or his war with Iran. Trump is frustrating aides by refusing to meaningfully address issues that matter to American voters ahead of the midterm elections. And instead of focusing on vanity projects, he feels will better cement his place in American history. Wow. You got to be really delusional to think that it's going to cement your place in American history in a good way. A senior administration official told the paper-- and this is according to the Wall Street Journal, by the way-- that Trump has entered legacy mode and is fixated on how he will be remembered by future generations. Aides say Trump fears his presidency will be remembered similarly to past occupants of the White House he views as weak, such as Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter is actually remembered quite fondly now. So Donald Trump, I don't think, will ever be in that conversation with Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter is much better. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a Trump coffin on, told the journal that Trump is one of the handful of presidents who thinks on an entirely historical scale. He noted that Trump is obsessed with how he has perceived. He wants to be consequential. He wants this to matter. He wants to be the kind of president who people say, you know, it mattered that he was president, which really is anybody ever going to say that or at least say it in a way that's positive? I think it's reasonable to say that it matter that Trump was president because of how much he destroyed and how we're going to have to rebuild our international relationships, our institutions here in the United States. And more, it'll matter because it sucks so bad if that is OK with Trump. Trump's fixation on vanity projects is a problem for other Republicans who want him to spend his time. And the $400 million war chest, his super PAC has accumulated, helping the party hold on to slim majorities and the House and the Senate this fall, which Donald Trump so far really hasn't done. He's very much focused on himself and the polling is not good for Donald Trump. As you can see here, Trump's midterm plan to run commercials, highlighting his own perceived wins, despite his approval rating becoming 10 plus points under water and most polls has rubbed his party mates in Congress the wrong way as it should. And I just find it so funny that Donald Trump's idea of cementing his legacy is like building an arch or painting the reflecting pool or building the ballroom and stuff like that. And this reports and what we're about to talk about in just a moment really provides some helpful context on some stories we've gotten recently about the Trump administration, such as him putting his face on the dollar coin that apparently is getting released. Yes, we're spending taxpayer dollars to put Donald Trump's face on a coin. Or of course, the Kennedy Center threatening now in court filings to demolish it altogether if his name is not allowed to be on the building, which is really psychotic or him lining everything with gold. And of course, he redid the Rose Garden in the White House paving over this beautiful garden with cement. He's created that wall of presidents. He's putting gold everywhere. It's just crazy. It's weird that one thing would go, you can't imitate gold. We'll go, there's no paint, then imitate gold. - So these aren't like from home depots? - No, this is not home depots stuff. - No, I'm not. Stuff you buy. - This is not home depots. - God, you know, I talk about this sometimes on the show. I've actually had the privilege of being in the Oval Office. I was invited to meet President Biden in the Oval Office near the end of his term. We had a quick chat and it was such a beautiful office. Like, I wish I could take you folks with me, you know what I mean? I wish I could show every American how beautiful the office is because I was just blown away. And I hope I get to go back in the future when there's a Democrat there, not with this president, of course, but it's so beautiful. And he ruined it with all this gold. It just makes me sad to see it. But a lot of this is because Donald Trump is scared of dying. And he's spiraling behind the scenes about his death. And that's why he's so focused on legacy right now. Check this out. The sudden death of Lindsey Graham at the age of 71 caused Donald Trump to ponder his own mortality. Graham, a staunch Trump ally died on July 11th from natural causes linked to the tearing of an artery. The shock death of Graham who showed no obvious signs of ill health and had traveled to and from Ukraine just days before prompted concern from Trump and forced him to look inwards. In private conversations within his inner circle, a subdued Trump asked whether Graham's hectic travel schedule could have taken a toll on the Senator's health. Trump also began looking into Graham's family history to see if any genetic factors could help explain why the active 71-year-old had died so suddenly. I mean, you know, Donald Trump doesn't even read his daily brief. He doesn't read anything pertaining to the presidency. So Graham's death must have really shocked him to the point that he's doing some reading and research. Trump's shock over Graham's death was also evident in the frequent praise he lavished on him, saying he's a tough one to lose. He was great. He was very unique in every way. I just can't believe it. Trump, who is on course to become the oldest sitting president in US history, has repeatedly boasted that he's still as the mental and physical stamina to meet the demands of serving as presidents. I think the White House has claimed that Donald Trump is as healthy as a horse and that he could run like 11 laps around a track. However, as a daily beast has long reported, Trump's second term has been plagued by a laundry list of health issues and ailments, which the White House still hasn't answered. But this conversation about legacy, about Donald Trump fearing his death, the demise of his presidency, could explain why he's also making some dramatic changes to the Iran war and its strategy. Maybe he wants to wrap it up because he's so concerned about legacy right now. For example, one of those big changes is his side lining pentagon Pete Kegseth, as people call him, or the Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, because he has really not been effective in this war. Donald Trump previously has praised Hegseth as the guy to handle it. He's the guy to go to, according to Trump. And now he's been sidelined in favor of another administration official. Donald Trump has quietly begun to pin his hopes for resolving the Iran conflict on his treasury secretary, rather than Pete Hegseth. Isn't that something? Donald Trump doesn't even trust his own secretary of defense to negotiate this stuff. And according to reports, he's thinking about running for president, the arrogance of someone like Pete Hegseth, who has mishandled this war, presided over Americans dying, has committed war crimes, and has now been sidelined by Donald Trump, wants to run for president. God love you. That's according to insight sources quoted Saturday by the Daily Mail, which described a subtle shift within the eight-year-old president's inner circle when it comes to situation-room briefings on the war, while Hegseth is still routinely asked for updates on the war along with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, vice president JD Vance, and secretary of state Marco Rubio, an unnamed insider claim that Scott Bessens take has now given more attention by Trump in the meetings than Pete Hegseth. Interesting. But the fact of the matter is, Donald Trump can't undo the damage. He just can't. He can be as focused on legacy as he wants. He can be laser-focused on building the arch and the reflecting pool in the ballroom, all of which is very stupid, but that doesn't change the reality. And I want you to see the reality pointed out by a couple of Democrats here. Let's start with Representative Garcia, who really prosecuted the case against Donald Trump very well in this class. Something that you've all mentioned is we know that the president has claims that affordability is some sort of hoax. And I think it's so telling that he just won't admit that there's a real affordability crisis going on right now in this country. Now, Ms. Pancati, in August of 2024, Trump promised to cut energy and electrical prices by 50% within 12 to 18 months. Did that happen? No. In fact, in his first year in office, electricity prices rose by 10%. Have Trump's policies on clean energy made actually the life more affordable for Americans? No. What about the cost of new homes? In September of '24, Trump promised to cut the costs of homes in a half. Does that happen? No. He promised that 2% mortgage rates would come back. And right now, a 30-year mortgage sits at about 6.5%. Now, the president also is now deporting hard working construction workers. And there's tariffs, of course, on building materials. Does any of that actually make building new homes less expensive? No. In fact, it raises the price of those. And you've seen many home builders abandon projects because they don't pencil out. Now, this year, Congress passed one of the most important housing bills in years. Did the president actually sign this housing bill into law to make the cost of housing go down? No. So he's claimed he cares about housing, but has the president actually done anything in his actions to make housing more affordable? No. Everything he has done has driven up the price of housing. Now, scathing analysis, isn't it really? And it's the truth. Everything that Donald Trump has done has driven up the price. What about Governor JB Pritzker running for reelection in the state of Illinois? Check this out. Gas prices are high. Why? Because Donald Trump took us to war in Iran and Venezuela. Meat and fruit and beer and cars cost more today than they ever have. Why? Because Trump insisted on imposing tariffs and going into trade wars. Farms are going under. And businesses tied to those farms are laying off workers. Because president Trump started a trade more than had no greater purpose than a few cable news hits. Well said, and look, the unfortunate reality on top of all of this for Donald Trump is that he can focus on the legacy as much as he wants. The more he does that though, the American people sower on him even more. Just take a look at this poll. You were mentioning the CNN poll of polls, and of course the poll of polls is made up of individual polls. And one of them that just came out over the weekend was the ABC News Washington Post Ipsos poll. And you can see it right here. I mean, this just tells the story, right? The lowest net approval ratings ever for the president of the United States. That is approval minus disapproval. The lowest previous record, according to the ABC News Washington Post poll, was Trump was 24 points underwater. That was all the way back in term number one. My beard at that particular point did not have any gray in it like it does today. But guess what? As my beard has turned to gray, Trump's numbers have fallen to a new record low according to the Washington Post ABC News poll. He is now 25 points underwater on the net approval rating. That is the lowest ever that he has ever been at. And so it's not much of a surprise to me that the CNN poll of polls is reflecting that with the record high disapproval rating. Hmm. Ain't that something? So Trump is terrified of his death. He is terrified of his demise, and he's doing everything he can to cement his legacy and have people in the future believe that his presidency was good, and it mattered. The unfortunate reality for Donald Trump is that his greatest fear is being realized a relevancy. He's entering his final two years in office. He's a lame duck president. Congress is likely to switch to Democrats. Hopefully, if people get out there and vote, and he's nervous about that. It scares him. It terrifies him. And so he's not in a good spot.
