This may be the most disgusting political ad ever run
15m 39s
The transcript critically examines several controversial political actions and statements by Donald Trump and his allies. Trump’s campaign in Kansas includes a bizarre and unethical "giraffe" test, a $5,000 voter bribe, and accusations against Senator Roger Marshall involving predatory lending and anti-Semitism, all of which are seen as deeply unprofessional and damaging. A campaign ad by Vivek Ramaswamy against Amy Acton uses her mother’s traumatic history of abuse to attack her credibility, which is widely condemned as exploitative and unethical, ultimately backfiring and deepening public distrust of Ramaswamy. Meanwhile, JD Vance’s refusal to acknowledge that Trump’s family may have profited from political power is criticized as insincere and out of touch, especially given Trump’s reported crypto income and access to exclusive events. The public's growing anger over political corruption is highlighted, with voters demanding accountability. The narrative underscores a significant shift in political culture, where transparency and ethical behavior are now central to public trust. The discussion also emphasizes the broader consequences of such tactics—undermining democratic integrity and discouraging civic participation. Ultimately, the transcript positions these incidents as symptoms of a deeper crisis in political accountability, where voters are increasingly rejecting corruption and demanding integrity from candidates.
All right, Dan. Donald Trump was in the swing state of Kansas last night where he offered voters bribes and anti-Semitic slur and reassurance that he can identify a giraffe. Let's watch. If you elect a Republican House and a Republican Senate on November 3rd, you'll get $5,000 that if you lose, you get nothing. And with Roger Marshall in the Senate, we will make year-round E-15 permanent. But if Adam Hamilton is in, I'm not doing it. He was convicted by law to request strongly money owed from patients. You're not allowed not to do it. You have to by law go after those people. And they made it like, oh, he was some kind of a Shylock that guy. This one is they show you a lion, a bear, a snake, and a giraffe. And they say, which ones did your laugh? Okay. Dan, what do you think of, I know which ones the giraffe and I'll give you $5,000 as a closing argument? You really have to wonder why Trump is doing any of this. It's so bad. I mean, obviously he does it because he needs something to do when he wants the applause to keep him to fuel his ego or whatever else. But it makes no sense. The $5,000 thing he keeps trying and trying and trying. There is no evidence it works. There is that poll from verisite, I think, and strengthen numbers. It had at 13% of people believe that they'd actually get the $5,000 from Trump, opposed by majorities of Republicans when they find out it's connected to the election, like a terrible idea. The fact that he can't stop talking about the cognitive test is so funny. It's like bragging about how many field sobriety tests you've taken and thinking that means you're a good driver. It's so like, and I figured out it was a giraffe. You identified a giraffe. You're explaining that to people. You're bragging about it. It's like he's lying. So he could have said anything. I had to solve three quadratic equations. He could have said that, but instead he went with a giraffe. Also, the Roger Marshall thing he was talking about there, where he's like, "Oh, you have to. " This is what he was discussing was the scandal where Roger Marshall, a doctor, Senate candidate, basically went after legally and arrested, had them arrested women who couldn't pay the bills. And as low as $50. As low as $50. In one case. Yes. And it's worth not a law, very clear, when reporters look at this as very little evidence of any other doctors doing this. And he charged exorbitant interest rates on these people. A number that he said himself. And then threw in an anti-Semitic slur, which shows why not. It just shows how far we've come since Trump 1.0 is that, like, that's not the biggest thing on the internet today. No. I have not seen a statement from Jonathan Greenblatt yet on this one. Now, let's you think we're being unfair about how tired this routine has gotten. Here's a man who's probably done more than anyone to help Donald Trump get a good night's sleep. Another question. How was the president doing? And how are you doing? You look tired. You look fucking exhausted. I'm not gonna lie to my friends, but you do. And I know every time I see the president going up and talking, I see he seems really, really exhausted too. You looked about the tires. I've seen him. He was very, and I don't, I don't want to say the word down. He never get him. And we don't get down, but he did seem, um, but he got to realize he's on these rallies. I mean, he just just one after another. So that was my pillow CEO, Mike Lindell. Is he running for governor? Yeah, he is. Yes. Yes. Yes. Wait, did he lose the primary? He lost the primary. That's right. Yeah. That's right. Yeah. He's doing some kind of a Zoom call with old people. Yeah. It was very curious what the context of that was. Still don't know. Still don't know. But apparently the president seems down, tired and down. Do you back up once up? Do you have reason to believe that there's a my pillow in the in the West way? Or in the West way? No, I'm sure. I'm sure. That's not true. Right. Okay. I mean, it could be. It seems on brand. Yeah. Maybe. Maybe he's got a special pillow. And as we're recording this, I saw a tweet that the president's falling asleep in the office right now. Yeah, well, you know, he's doing these rallies. He's working really hard. He's, he's never been as focused and disciplined. No, never. The final stretch here. Pots of America breaking news is brought to you by Zippercruder. Let's be honest. Zippercruder is everywhere. Why? Now to Ohio, where Vivek Ramaswami's campaign has run maybe the most despicable ad, I think of the entire Trump era, all 10 years, against his opponent for governor, Democrat Amy Achton. Before we show it to you, the video features Achton's estranged mother, calling her a liar and telling people not to vote for her. But what you need to know is why they're estranged. According to Achton and her brother, their mother's husband sexually abused Amy as a child when she was 12 and court records confirm that this man was charged with rape. Both children were removed from the household and their mother stayed married to this man who abused her daughter until he died. So that's the backstory. This is the person that the video that you're about to see presents as a character witness. Amy's daughter, Arthur, and I made me Achton's mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America. I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent, it's not easy for a mother to say this. It Amy has a serious problem. She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent, not about as true. She's lied her entire lie. My daughter needs help and she can't help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn't doing that. Don't vote for people who lie. Don't let her become your governor. If you think she'll make your life better, you're fully yourself. It will only get worse. Now, the Vivek's campaign has responded by saying that they don't know what happened between Amy and her mother and then they attacked her as a serial fabulous. Attacked Amy is a serial fabulous. Also, Acton's brother has condemned Vivek Ramaswamy over the attack. Again, he was taken out of the household as well. I don't know. I don't know where to begin on this one. I mean, it could not be more disgusting in a relationship or form. I also think it is going to blow up in his face. On paper, the idea of a candidate's mother opposing them in an ad seems like that would be a devastating ad from which candidates could not recover. I don't think that's the case here. Vivek Ramaswamy is losing this race, according to all the polling averages. The reason he's losing the race is that people in Ohio think he sucks. They just think he's a sleazy asshole. As evidence of that, he is a proof of rating. You say you're building rating in Ohio and the Maris poll that came out last night, minus 17 points, NSA-1 by 11 points. Running an ad like this and all of the ensuing blowback is going to come from. It just reinforces what people already don't like about him. So I think this is going to end up being a, it's disgusting, it's horrible, it should not happen, it's also going to end up hurting him more than it helps him. I saw a few Republicans condemn the ad, was mayor Megan McCain, a couple of people, Don Jr. amplified it. Don't fucking the president's son. Of course. Retweeted this ad and then said, wow, crazy. Because Donald Trump, senior is the one who picked Vivek Ramaswamy to be the nominee. He anointed him to for this job. And if Republicans lose the governor's race in Ohio for the first time in 16 years, it will be because Donald Trump picked this horrendous candidate to run. I just like, it bothers me. I mean, first of all, like the fact that Amy Acton has had to go through this as a child for her whole life. And then now, in the final weeks of this campaign, have this become a national story, have this broadcast to however many Ohio voters or people across the country. I feel horrible for Ohio. It also like, this is the kind of shit that prevents people from running for office and like participating in public life. Because you know it's a tough business. You know if you get skeletons in your closet, they're going to come out. But like the fact that you could go through something so horrific and then have an opponent use it in such a dishonest, disgusting way is just fucking beyond anything. Yeah, it's so gross. And it's very fitting with Rebecca I must want me to kind of campaign. He's run this entire time the way he's acted in public life. It is right on point. I hope he fucking loses it. I hope the polls are right. And he is because he is disgusting.
And I think if this ad pisses you off, you should do what I did today, which is donate to Amy Acton. Yes. Yes. Because she's winning, which is being massively outspent by she and Sherry, they're both being massively. They're they're Republicans pouring all the money in Ohio, so they need your help. Finally, JD Vance sat down with Mark Helpern, speaking of upstanding characters, who asked him about the Trump family making money while Donald Trump is president. We talked on Pots in America yesterday about JD Vance being like when he was doing a CBS town hall with Tony Coppola was like, oh, I, a corruption. That's crazy. Not in our White House. Here's how it is exchanged with Helpern. How do you feel about the fact that they've gotten wealthier while you've been in office? Well, I think they were already very, very wealthy family, and I think it's their family. I think it's a family that suffered extraordinary financial consequences for him being president the first time. I just don't understand the argument that somehow politics has made Donald Trump or his family much better off. I do think that there's a separate concern that I sometimes think gets muddled with the first concern, which is that is DC just too corrupt of a town. Do people with too rich for knowing the right people do they sell access to the president? Now, I've never seen any evidence that anybody selling access to me, but like if there's a credible accusation there, I guarantee you the president of the United States is going to be the first person in line to say, that's ridiculous and despicable, and I am too. I just, it's laughable to me, the idea that Donald Trump has somehow been enriched by political office. It's laughable. No evidence. No evidence. Other than the president's own financial disclosures, the crypto business, the dinner, where buying his mean coin got you access to him, like the president Trump reported, reported more than $1.4 billion in income from crypto ventures in 2025. It is believed by several reports that the president has become $2.7 billion richer since winning the 2024 presidential election. I've seen no evidence of that. His mean coin operation offered dinner with the president to the biggest holders of the mean coin, like they advertise the opportunity. Twice now. It's not a media report and some outlet that JD Vance doesn't fucking trust her. It's a liberal, like the president's own company is advertising this. He got a fucking jet from the Qataris that he's taking with him when he leaves office. Yeah. I mean, it's like this is, it's so ridiculous. It's so embarrassing for JD Vance. He is insincerely drooping out of his fucking eyeballs when he's saying this. And there is a thing that, you know, for a long, long time, voters kind of really did turn of blind eye to Trump's corruption. You and I talked about this on Wednesday, America last week. Voters now care. Now they want to hold Trump accountable for it. They're pissed about. They want to hold the Republicans who enable the corruption accountable for it. Corruption is near the top of the list now. It's up there with cost of living as an issue. And JD Vance can pretend like it doesn't exist, but voters see it and they're going to make Republicans pay for it this fall. Can you just talk about what a fucking dumbass JD Vance is like? He could have said he could have answered that by saying the arrangements are all legal. It's probably not true, but maybe technically, like at least not proven yet, right? Beyond a reasonable doubt. He could have said, oh, Trump's children run the businesses, blah, blah, like to sit there with Mark Halpern. This is now the second time he's done this in a week and just deny that the family got rich at all based on their political position and the power that they have is just it fucking crazy. Well, his problem as a candidate is he never thinks beyond the four corners of the answer he's giving right then and there, which is just like, how can I survive in this interview by saying this thing without thinking about how it plays beyond that, the reaction to it, the repercussions to it. The fact he's going to be fact checked or noted or what community noted or whatever else is he just like he really is just a obnoxious high school debater running for president. I really hope in the 28 primary, someone runs against him or multiple of our against him who actually don't give a shit about Donald Trump and probably won't win the nomination, but can beat the shit out of him on a debate stage with this kind of stuff because I don't want to wait until the general for this one, like someone from the populist right that would be like a perfect opportunity for them to go after JD Vance on this. And since we know right now that the most likely things could change, as of right now, the most likely scenario was to get answers to the Republican nominee. The amount of time, energy, and money that Democrats can spend kicking the crap out of him from the day after the midterms until election age 2028 is going to be very, very valuable and quite enjoyable. And I am more than volunteering my time and my time to whatever that effort is. Yeah. Whatever we can do to help. Yes. All right. Well, please subscribe to PodSave America on YouTube. It is free.
