If Donald Trump can tear down our White House to build a stupid ballroom that nobody wants, why can't we tear down Mar-a-Lago to put in a stupid data center that nobody wants? I think that it is a great idea, and it came from one of my favorite candidates in this cycle, and that is Angie Nixon, who is a representative in Florida, fighting back against Donald Trump, pushing progressive and populist policy, and really making me laugh while doing it. Now, Angie Nixon and her race against current Senator Ashley Moody has not been discussed nearly enough in my opinion, but it is starting to be, because Angie Nixon is tightening that race. There are polls that are showing her and Ashley Moody tied. I know Florida at this point is not a state that we think of as maybe necessarily competitive, but that can truly change, and it is right now considering that Donald Trump cannot stop fucking up. And Republicans in his own state are distancing themselves from him. Now, I want to talk about Angie Nixon. I want to talk about this Mar-a-Lago idea, but we just have to start by saying how unpopular Donald Trump is in Florida right now. Byron Donalds has taken all of the photos of Trump off of his website, and Trump is now attacking him for that, saying if he distances himself any further, that he'll lose his race. Maria Salazar, a Republican in South Florida, came out against Donald Trump's immigration policies, and now Trump is going on a truth social tirade against her. So, Republicans already see that Trump is unpopular. Why, oh why, would Angie Nixon going after Donald Trump not be a bad idea? It is a great idea, and I want to get into exactly what she had to say, but it's not just about Trump. I want to begin with this comment that she made about billionaires on the Breakfast Club that I think is great before we get to what she had to say about Mar-a-Lago. And we've got so much more to cover in this video, including how Ron DeSantis might have just cost Republicans a seat or two or three or four in Florida. It's a beautiful video that we're going to get into. It starts right here, though. These billionaires need to pay what they owe, and then they are the biggest welfare queens there are. The fact that we have some corporations that in their trainings with their employees, they train them on how to apply for food benefits, food stamps, and Medicaid, and all the things, but they don't want to pay them a living wage. And they don't pay them a living wage because they get a government kickback. They get tax breaks. So, it's like, what is it? They're double-dipping, basically. They're not paying people living wages, and they're getting a tax break for hiring people who they won't pay a living wage. It's messed up. But again, if we get big money out of politics, we won't have to deal with a lot of it. We need to start using more language like this with billionaires. Nobody can earn a billion dollars. You can get a billion dollars. You can steal it. You can defraud someone of it. Donald Trump has done it with crypto. Donald Trump has done it with every billion that he has made in store. And I think this is the exact language that we need to use because people understand that our government is being abused. And it's being abused by the billionaires. The Walton family is a great example of this. No one pushed harder to make sure snap was protected than the Walton family because they underpaid their workers at Walmart. They rely on the federal government to make sure that people who work at Walmart who are underpaid can eat. And oftentimes, they are spending those snap dollars at Walmart. So they are double dipping and also getting giant tax breaks. They are having us, us, the taxpayer pay for their employees. No, I don't mind making sure that people can have food. But with Walmart's billions in profits, I think they can also do that. So I'm so glad that this is what we're hearing from someone like Angie Nixon. It's really starting to break through. And so did this idea about Mar-a-Lago? First of all, I'm a millennial. I grew up on Terminator. So I know how this stuff goes. And so, you know, I'm concerned about the privacy. I am also concerned about the jobs. We need to make sure that we're protecting people's jobs. People who work for companies, they should know if AI is embedded in them. Are they using AI for hiring purposes, for training purposes, for, you know, job, like job scheduling, whatever they're using. Are people training AI to take their jobs? People should know that. And also, we need to hold big-take accountable. And what I mean by that is that when it comes to these data centers, what we're seeing is that they are creating more pollution in some of the areas, more light pollution, potentially more air pollution, more heat in certain areas. It's causing the utility race to go up. So people's water and light bills are going up. And they regular, everyday people should not have to deal with that because somebody wants to get richer and deal with the AI data center. And so we need to look at ways. Do we do what they do in Alaska, which is like they give dividends to people who are impacted by the pipeline? Do we do the same thing for the now existing AI data centers? But right now, I think there needs to be a moratorium until more research is done. Or if people want to build a data center, they should put it on Mar-a-Lago. Angie Nixon calls for building a Dandas Center at Trump's Mar-a-Lago. Nixon is currently the Democratic nominee for US Senate in Florida. And I absolutely love this idea. Mar-a-Lago, the site of a ton of crime. So maybe we just scrap it, get rid of it and all those rich people who love their data centers. How about they have one right next to them? I think this is a wonderful idea. If you guys love data centers so much, all the billionaires fleeing to Florida. And by the way, it's getting incredibly unaffordable. I think Miami right now is the highest cost of living city in the country right now. And yeah, I would say that this is a wonderful idea. Angie, I think this is a great idea. All the billionaires who want to buy up property in South Beach, who want to buy up property in Palm Beach, if they want to do it with their data center money, then yeah, I'm going to go ahead and say if I can put a data center in there. This is wonderful. Can front them on it and run against this? And we've been talking about this for a while on the show. There are a bunch of layups in these midterms that if Democrats aren't taking them on, it's because we know that they're not actually real progressives. These aren't people who want change. There are still a lot of corporate Democrats. There are still a lot of conservative Democrats. Anyone who's not taking on the data center issue, you're not paid for. That's just what it is. These things ravage communities. They're not a real investment. It's the scam economy that we continue to see everywhere. And they're always saying, oh, well, we got to stop China. What? We got to beat China. You notice all the people who are always saying we got to beat China on something? Those people are also the ones that Trump's state dinner was using paying. Like Jesse Waters can't be screaming all night about the Chinese Communist Party. And then also, having champagne with Xi? Does that make sense? What does make sense is it's all one big club and we're not in it. But the host that Fox certainly are. But it's not just the host that Fox. Because as we continue to see Angie Nixon get closer in this race, the people who do not want to see a progressive win in Florida and kind of disprove this argument that if you want to win a swing state, you got to you got to be nice in the center. You got to capitulate to corporations. You got to throw out a couple of mega talking points every now and then. The blue mega people, the light mega people, the conservative Democrats, the corporate Democrats, often the APAC Democrats. These are the people who don't like the idea of a progressive winning in Florida. I'd also say they don't like the idea of a black progressive winning in Florida. Because that's the argument that you hear so often that that progressives aren't actually championing the issues of of black people in America, which is just bullshit. It's not true. Medicare for all would address the much higher infant mortality rates that we see in the children of black women. The historic oppression in neglect that has been thrown the way of black people in their access to medicine, their access to care. These things are all baked into one. But what you hear is everyone trying to discredit the success right now of Angie Nixon. They just want to say it's about anything but her and also that we shouldn't invest in her. I think this clip from Bacari Sellers tells you a lot about where the establishment of the party, where they want to be. We won't be wasting money in Florida now. We were going to be spending tons of money on a Senate seat that we were not going to win in Vindamine instead of spending money in North Carolina and Ohio and maybe in Iowa, a Senate seat we can win. And now you're going to see that money not go to Florida. It's going to go to the places that are necessary that we have a fighting chance that we have an ability to win. And so the map has a funny way of realigning itself on primary night and that's what happened last night. It is very obvious that Troy Jackson, up in Maine, Abdul Al-Sayed, of course in Michigan and Angie Nixon, in Florida, do not get the attention. of maybe some of the other Democratic candidates running for Senate right now. They don't get the type of attention and they don't get the type of money. Now, I'm not talking about the corporate money, they don't take corporate money. I'm talking about money and ad spend, of course, from Chuck Schumer, from Kirsten Gillibrand, and from the people higher up making those decisions. And why? Well, it's because I think Chuck Schumer would rather be Senate minority leader than just Senator. Truly, I think these people are happy being right, which they're not. They want to sabotage progressives and prevent them from winning so that they can claim that they're right, so that they can hold their power, so that they can hold their sense of self, that they can hold their kind of faux expertise. Absolutely, that is the case. Because we know, we know, that if it had not been Abdul Al-Sayed, who won that primary in Michigan, if it had in fact been Hailey Stevens, you would have heard all the centers telling us, well, you gotta be right down the middle to win a Michigan. We can't run progressives in a swing state like this, and they wouldn't have recognized that the reason it was even a competitive race in the first place is because it was a 12 to one spending differential. Hailey Stevens, 12 times the spend that Abdul had in the race. She spent what, $60, close to $70 million, getting like 40 of it from APAC, fucking crazy. So these people, establishment Democrats, the blue maggot Democrats, the conservative Democrats, don't want to see someone like Angie Nixon win. They don't want to see someone like Abdul Al-Sayed when they don't want to see someone like Troy Jackson win. They don't want their theory of politics, which is wrong, by the way, disproved. You know who the most popular politicians are in America? The most popular? Democratic politicians? Bernie Sanders, AOC, Zora Mamdani. Progressive suit deliver. Ooh, scary socialist title, apparently isn't so scary. But the center, they don't want that. The establishment, they don't want that. The corporatists don't want that because it means their money doesn't matter. Right, if we realize what we know to be true, that people who are not beholden to the corporate interest, who can actually work on our behalf and care about us and deliver for us for once, those people are broadly popular, and they win elections. They had to sabotage Bernie in 2016 and 2020 to stop him from winning the nomination both times, and they have always and will continue to sabotage progressives. That's what they want to do. And that's what we're still seeing with Angie Nixon. People trying to sabotage her campaign. Don't invest in her. Do invest in her. Invest, donate, volunteer support. Tell your friends about Angie Nixon. This is a great candidate, and this is a great opportunity across the state of Florida. I'm not just talking about Angie Nixon's race. I'm talking about the whole state because, if you may have remember, Ron DeSantis jerrymandered the map, it is now blowing up in his face. Let's talk about it. DeSantis's redrawn Florida seat leaves Trump ally two points behind. A Democratic-backed survey puts an educator, Pia DeDia, I should say, sorry, ahead in a South Florida district Republicans re-drew this year to expand their house advantage with no incumbent to save either party. A house majority-packed poll conducted by impact research from August 24th to the 31st places, Pendea at 46% in a scar at 44% the Republican that is, in Florida's 22nd congressional district. The 22nd congressional district is in open seat. There is no incumbent to absorb the backlash if voters reject the new lines. Florida's official redistricting record shows that the map came directly from DeSantis's office, so this is what he wanted. This means, with Dendea the Democrat leading in the polls, that DeSantis's jerrymander has backfired. How delicious. How delicious is that they specifically drew this map to serve Republicans and help save them from their own doing, and now it is blowing up in their face. You see this in North Carolina as well, as Texas, of course, Florida that we just said, and this is why we need to invest everywhere, why we need to focus everywhere, where we need to have high expectations and just high work ethic everywhere, then especially includes in Florida and with Angie Nixon.
