The speaker delivers a fiery critique of Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic leader, over his secret meeting with Jared Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law. The speaker argues that Kushner, who holds no government role and profits from proximity to Trump, is a corrupt figure, and Jeffries' meeting with him is indefensible. Jeffries claimed Kushner requested the meeting to discuss the affordability crisis, but the New York Times reported it was suggested by a mutual friend, leading the speaker to accuse Jeffries of lying. The speaker also mocks Jeffries' video, where he promises to battle the Trump administration on tariffs, Medicaid, Epstein files, and more, noting that no concrete results have been achieved. The speaker contrasts this with New York Mayor Mamdani's meeting with Trump, which secured $21 billion in federal grants for housing and jobs, framing it as a legitimate and necessary interaction with presidential power. The speaker then attacks Neera Tanden, who defended Jeffries, highlighting her past failure to be Senate confirmed due to toxic tweets, including insulting Senator Sanders, and questions her moral authority. Ultimately, the speaker argues that establishment Democrats like Jeffries and Tanden are more concerned with maintaining power and proximity to it than with creating real change, and they attack progressive figures like Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed because their power is slipping away. The commentary is punctuated by advertisements for various products, but the core message is a call for authentic opposition and accountability within the Democratic Party.

I want to talk about Hakeem Jeffries. It's not my favorite thing to talk about, but we should talk about it. Where is Hakeem Jeffries? Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Did you guys watch this? Did you see this video? Did you see this? First off, what is this fit? What is the fit? What is this? Before we get into the video, I'm pissed off. What are you wearing? You're soon to be the speaker of the house. His hat doesn't even fit. All right, so if you don't know, what happened was over the weekend, the New York Times reported that Hakeem Jeffries met with Jared Kushner, had a secret meeting. We don't know what about. He didn't tell us about it. Everyone got very upset with Hakeem Jeffries because he had a secret meeting with Jared Kushner. Jared Kushner, by the way, has no role in the government, has no power, is not the secretary of state, is not the speaker of the house. He is a billionaire who makes money through proximity to Hakeem Jeffries. He's a billionaire who makes money through proximity to Hakeem Jeffries. So his father-in-law, Donald Trump, what the hell are you doing having a meeting with this man? Okay, so everyone got so upset, as they should. And so then Hakeem Jeffries released this video. Now, I haven't watched all this. We're going to watch it. I just want to point out when this came out, I said the following, because Neera Tanden said this. It is odd that it's excellent to meet with Trump, then bad to do this meeting, particularly as it signals that Trump knows the GOP is losing the House, which undercuts Republican frontliners. In other words, people who are perhaps in a swing district that could lose it basically is saying to them that, hey, we know we're going to lose. We're F'd. Let's take the meeting, okay? Okay. So I said Jared Kushner isn't in the administration. He isn't a government employee. He's the president's son-in-law who uses his proximity to the White House to make billions of dollars. It is nothing like the mayor's of the country's largest city meeting with the president because this person here said that I don't understand why everyone's upset because didn't Mom Donnie meet with Trump? It's not the same thing, okay? It's not the same thing at all. It's such a bad faith comparison. It actually really pisses me off. It really pisses me off. There's a couple of reasons why. But Neera Tanden then responded to me and said, this is such bizarre reasoning, meaning that Jared Kushner is in the administration that his proximity to the White House makes him money and that it's nothing like the mayor meeting with Trump, okay? This is such bizarre reasoning. Trump is the one deciding to do the horrifying things that hurt all Americans and basically the world. Obviously, he and Kushner are both corrupt, but Trump is worse on the monster scale than Kushner. Why is it cool with you to meet with Trump? Not a peep, just celebration for the mayor of New York when he does it, even though ice rates have gone up in New York City since. I just. It's so dumb. It's so dumb, it's brilliant. No, it's just dumb. There are multiple levels of stupidity happening in this statement. This person worked for the White House? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? First off, we didn't celebrate the meeting with Trump, okay? It's just something that should happen when the mayor of the nation's largest, most powerful city wins election. He should meet with the president, who, by the way, has the power to make his life better or worse for not only the mayor, but also its citizens. That's first, okay? Secondly, even though ice rates have gone up in New York City since, that's not even why he meant to meet with him. The mayor of New York, Mamdani, met with Donald Trump for one reason only, securing more than $21 billion with a B in federal grants to construct the world's largest deck over the world. The mayor of New York, Mamdani, allowed the city to build 12 million new affordable homes, including 6,000 new Mitchell-Lama-style homes, create 30,000 good-paying union jobs, and deliver on parks, schools, healthcare clinics, etc. I don't know what is going on where this lady, who has worked with establishment presidents her entire life, feels the need to attack the mayor of the world's largest city for no reason, and then attacking him for something that the meeting wasn't even about. It doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense to me. Like, there's something going on with the establishment where they're losing their minds because they can see that their power is waning, and so they're pulling out all of the tricks. They're pulling out all the tricks to try to stop this progressive, people-led movement from taking power, not only in the party, but in the country. Let's watch this. I want to give you a little real talk on this Jared Kushner situation. He asked for a meeting, and I took it to discuss the affordability crisis that exists that is not a hoax. Okay, we're going to stop right there because the New York Times followed up with a reporting that says that, you heard him, right? Kushner asked for a meeting, and I took it. This is so bad. He asked for a meeting, and I took it. Okay. Okay, tough guy. The New York Times followed up with a reporting that said a person with knowledge of the meeting who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive topic said it was a mutual friend, not the president's son-in-law, who suggested that Hakeem Jeffries and Kushner meet. So he's lying, just so you know. So just keep that in mind as we watch the rest of this. He's lying in your face. To discuss the affordability crisis that exists that is not a hoax, at the same period of time, I shouldn't have to say it, but I am. No one is going to get a pass. We're going to hold every single member of the Trump cartel accountable, beginning on day one. I'm reading your comments. Your comments are absolutely sell-out Jeffries, what's with Hakeem eyes, been done with him, absolutely. You're not managing the American people or screwing over the American people. You're going to be held accountable. We're going to follow the facts, apply the law, and be guided by the constitution, beginning on day one, and hold the crooks accountable. And that's what we've done as House Democrats from the beginning of this Congress. - Do y'all feel like he is holding the crooks accountable? Does anyone feel like the crooks are being held accountable right now? No, he might not be able to. He does not have power, but don't say you're doing shit. You're not doing, you're not holding anyone, you're taking a private meeting with the president's corrupted son-in-law who has no power. - Battle the Trump administration on tariffs, battle them on Medicaid, battle them on Epstein, battle them on nutritional assistance. - It's true. This is the worst video ever. Did they win the battle on Epstein? Did they? None of the files are out. Have they won the battle on Medicaid? What battle? I don't even, I'm not even aware of a battle happening with Medicaid. If you have no power, that's fine. But there are things that he could be doing right now, rather than just, in my opinion, talking with a lot of hot air. - Battle them on the Affordable Care Act. Battle them on the reckless war of choice in Iran. Battle them on ICE funding and battle them on the unprecedented corruption unleashed on the American people. And we've delivered results. Pam Bondi is gone. Kristi Noem is gone. And we're just getting started. At the same period of time, affordability crisis in this country is very real. It needs to be dealt with. I hear about it every day in a community in Brooklyn and all across the country wherever I may be people are drowning in this failed economy and are demanding action we have a responsibility to deal with the fact that life is too expensive far too many people are stressed to F out when it's time to go to the grocery store pay the rent or put gas in the tank that's crazy that should not be happening in the United States of America and we have a responsibility to address it and that's what we intend to do do you hear that that sound right it that means that summer is officially here it things that are fun anymore and that's like unsustainable but my question is what the hell is going on here in the United States and what's going on in the United States right now what the hell does that have to do with meeting with Jared Kushner does Jared Kushner somehow control beef prices can Jared Kushner get gas prices under control those things to me aren't adding up okay why are you so it does so it's like alright he's like I met with Jared Kushner he asked me to meet with him all right the New York Times reports and says that that actually is not true and then you go on this non sequitur so that I'm like now I'm like alright I'm really interested I'm really interested in what the meaning was actually about and we don't know well we probably will never know but I'll tell you this Hakeem Jeffries got 100% played here that is why you're seeing this leprechaun get very upset because Jared Kushner leaked this in order to make him look weak and to and it's kind of working want to work with fascists I don't want to collaborate with fascists there is no period period working with criminals we have to have an opposition party Hakeem Jeffries needs to come out and speak to the people the Democratic base wants fighters you know who's number one right now in the 2028 presidential estimates on the markets John Ossoff why because he's calling out why is Trump flying around with Natalie why is he such a corrupt criminal he is an opposition speaker at the moment every time he gives a speech he is opposing the corruption of this administration absolutely John Ossoff is really showing what this is all about I believe there is a tweet from Neera Tanden that said oh talking about his son piker I just want to end with this thank you for the butterfly I don't know what that is but thank you for the butterfly talking about his son piker I would think someone who is so toxic that a Senate campaign was to distance himself from him would spend a lot let a little less time attacking the people actually trying to win a house dem majority that was interesting to me now not a lot people know this Neera Tanden I believe is the only person in American history to not be Senate confirmed because of her tweets did you know that I knew that shall we watch I have to tell you I'm very disturbed about your personal comments about people you know it's not just one or two I think you deleted about a thousand tweets and it wasn't just about Republicans and I'll send mine disagreements and policy I think that's great I love the dialectic but the comments were personal I mean you call Senator Sanders everything but an ignorant slut that is not that is not true and when you when you said these things did you mean them I would have said ignorant senator I have to say I deeply regret my comments understand that did you mean them I understand you you've taken them back but did you mean them I'd say the discourse over the last four years on all sides has been incredibly pull I'm asking about yours did you mean them I really feel badly about them senator did you mean I feel badly about them this is the person by the way who wants to act like she's the moral authority on how Democrats should act online and in public this person who had to answer for her tweets who by the way I think probably should get her Twitter addiction under control is coming at everyone else and how we behave online when I'm sorry you can't even get Senate confirmed you mean them when you said them I mean I would say social media is a is is I did you mean when you said them I feel terribly about them did you mean them when you said them or were you not telling the truth I I mean I feel badly I look back at them I'm I said them I feel badly about them I deleted tweets over are you saying that because you want to be confirmed no I felt badly about them and did you mean them when you said them senator I I must have meant them but I really regret them I want the record to reflect that I did not call Senator Sanders an ignorant slut anyway so I guess like overall the way I want to wrap this up is like these are the people Jeffries Tandon they're all cut from the same cloth who are more interested in maintaining power keeping the status quo proximity to power than actually creating structural change for average Americans and the people who are actually doing that like Mayor Mamdani are the ones who are getting attacked Abdul El-Sayed who actually want to fight for people the reason why these folks are attacking Democrats who are actually working for people is not because they think that there's actually something they just don't like the fact that they can see their power slipping away okay if you're the type of person who wants data not
