Think Grace Part 1

The speaker delivers a message centered on the sufficiency of Christ's grace versus the inadequacy of the law. He asserts that every promise of God is a present reality for believers because they are in Christ. Salvation, redemption, and life are found only in Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The heart must be established in grace, as the law places the burden on human effort and cannot save. Mixing law and grace is rejected, as exemplified by the Laodicean church; believers must choose grace alone. Good preaching turns people to Christ and His finished work, not to self or the preacher. The speaker uses Hebrews 13 to call believers to go outside religious systems, bearing Christ's disgrace, and to feast on grace rather than dietary rules. He contrasts the law, which shows sin but cannot fix it, with grace, which transforms believers as they behold Christ. Using the story of Saul and the Amalekites, he warns that even good intentions can be disobedience if they deviate from God's command. Ultimately, all of God's blessings are imparted through the message of His grace, received by faith, not by human works or rituals.

[Music] You see, every promise of God in the world is God's will for me. Oh, oh, oh, more no exception. Because everything truth about Christ is true about you. And we know on my side we walk by things. So we speak as truth of our reality in Christ Jesus, not as a future aspect of it, but as a present reality. Because I may say it is my people who are coming in. Shower themselves, I seek my face and turn from now we can win. So, I'm in the law, you turn by yourself, it's from your new. But, by redemption, it is Jesus who comes you away. Oh, glory to the Lamb of God. Glory to the Lamb of God. Jesus. Oh, yes, oh, yes. Oh, yes. In Him we have life. In Him we have salvation. In Him we have redemption. In Him we have wisdom. God is satisfied with the sacrifice of Jesus. Hallelujah. Somebody make a joyful noise. And the Jesus is the smartest. Hallelujah. Here is the chief cornerstone. And the Bible says those who put their fifth in here shall never be disappointed. Behold, I lay in Zion the stone, the chief cornerstone. And all who put their fifth in Him shall never be put to shame. Somebody say, "You know what that means? We will never see. We will never be disappointed." You know what that means? You will not put your fifth in Jesus and go to hell. Doesn't work that way. Doesn't mean it. You don't put fifth in Jesus and then God turns his back on you. So there's nothing like a believer going to hell. Believers don't go to hell. You know what I just said? Believers in Christ don't go to hell. It can't be his own sentence. Tell them, "You're welcome to church this morning." Hallelujah. Praise the name of the Lord. Does it think grace? What does that mean? Let your perspective, your approach to God and to life be the grace of God. Now, you see what I'm saying shortly. Hebrews sat up, "Fetin from verse 8." I really found the King James and they would see at his rendered in the T.P.T. Right? He was the same yesterday, today and forever. Be not carried about with diverse and strange doctrines for it is a good thing that the heart be established with what? Talk to me. Be established with what? Grace. Grace meets foot which have not profited them that have been occupied, they are in. When he's speaking about that, he's talking about the law. So when you see Grace, the, is he antithesis? Is that correct English? The opposite of that is the law. So when he says, "Grace," or he's initially knows he talks about afterwards in opposite of that, and he says, "With meats that have not profited them that have been occupied, they are in." He's speaking about the laws of Moses, the law that was given to Israel that the thought could give them salvation. Is somebody here who I'm saying? And one of the things about the law is that the law puts salvation on what man can do. The problem with the law is that it puts the burden on what you can do for yourself as against what God has done for your salvation. I might make a sense to anybody. So the law glorifies man, but Grace glorifies Christ. It doesn't make sense to anybody. So he says, "Not carrying the burden with diverse and strange doctrines, for it is a good thing that the heart be established with what? Grace." So any teaching that is not Grace is the diverse and strange doctrine. Is that what I just said? It is not Grace that is strange doctrine. Is anything that is contraven to the grace of God that is strange doctrine? Is somebody here in what I'm saying? Now, with myths that are not proficient in that are occupying their reign, we have an altar where they have no right to eat, which serve the tabernacle. In other words, you cannot eat from the law and Grace at the same time. You're not following what I'm trying to say to you. You're not just a said so. You said you cannot mix new wine, put new wine in old wine scheme. You can put a new cloth with old cloth. So he says, "Police is in the name." You cannot eat from here and eat from there. Somebody say, "You're man." You cannot mix it. You cannot mix human effort and what God has done. You must choose what God has done. And I told you some weeks ago, this was the problem of the loudness and church. The loudness and church was the church that they were neither hot nor cold. They were slated between the grace of God and the law. Grace, law. And I'm just going to say choose one. Choose one. I wish that you were. I wish you were not hot nor cold. And what they say, "I will spew you out of my mouth because you are here. You are there. Stand in one place. Let's know where you are." And I'm making sense to anybody here. All right. Now, it says in verse 11, "For the bodies of those beasts which whose blood is brought in to the sanctuary, but the high priest for sin, are burned where without a camp." Verse 12, "Wherefore Jesus also, that it might sanctify the people with his own blood, so far where." "Without the gate, let us go for fear for unto him, without the camp, bearing what." Here's we approach. Verse 14, "For we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come." "By him, fear for, let us do what." "For the sacrifice of praise to God, continually, that is the fruit of our lips doing what, giving thanks to his name." Now, let us see how this is written that in the passion commentary. We'll call it. Show me from this. Yeah. What we said from this it, I think. Good. Jesus, the unknowited one, is always the same yesterday, today and what? Forever, next verse. So, so, so. Is it the connection now? Because that Christ is our message. I'm making sense to anybody. Christ is what we preach. Day in, day out. Week in, week out. Year in, year out. Christ is the message. Tell someone say Christ is the message. All we need, all every time we hear the word of God, your faith in Christ must be strengthened. Good preaching does not turn you to the preacher or turn you to yourself. Good preaching turns you to Christ. Does that make sense to anybody? When you hear preaching, how do you know it is good preaching or bad preaching? When you hear bad preaching, it turns you either to the preacher. So, it's not looking to him for what he needs to give to you by his so-called anointing he claim the house. Or, it turns to you for you start thinking what should you do to provoke the hand of God. Or what are you not doing to, that God's another provoked already? Yes. But good preaching points you for the fact that all that needs to be done is what God did in Christ already. And that your faith in Christ is how you receive anything from God. Have you preached to somebody beside you? So, your faith in Christ? Come and say, "How do you faith?" in Christ. Your faith in His finished work is all you need to receive anything from God, somebody say amen. Glory to God. So that's good preaching. No, no, no. So don't let anyone leave the vertices. So let no, don't let anyone lead you astray with all sorts of what. No, no, no. That's new. High, sound, the rubbish. No, no, an exotic teachings. What, what, what are you, what are we learning? Don't be tired of learning Jesus Christ. So I'm looking for new things to hear. The people who feel that we're not, we're not, there's more we need to see. But I told you in John, in John, in John, I didn't John for John six, Jesus called himself in John four living water in John six living bread. The water does not get stale. The bread does not get stale. We keep drinking that water. We don't give us new water to drink. No, that water is living water. He that drinks of this water is never shes again. But you eat this bread. You never hunger again. Somebody rejoice over here. What I'm saying. We feed on this bread. We drink this water. What is that water? He died. He was buried. He rose again. My salvation, my healing, my provision, my protection is hinged only on what he did for me in that cross of Calvary. Somebody say, hey, man, I'm a shot of my tender salvation. But that what he did for me on the cross. Jesus the saying yesterday, today and forever. What's possible? We preach him today. We preach him yesterday. We preach him forever. So don't let anybody, what is it? Sum it up? Where to get? Don't let anybody leave you a straight with all such a novel and exotic teachings. It's more beautiful to feast. Oh, now, oh, now, this is more beautiful to what? Feast on grass and to and be in one's strength than to be obsessed with dietary rules which in themselves have no lasting benefits. Colossians too. Pause these rules. Have the show of wisdom. Don't do this. Don't do that. Don't do this. Do this. So tell these rules have the show of wisdom but have no power to check the dungeons of the flesh. The law tells you what to do but has no power to help you do it. The laws like a mirror. It only shows you what is wrong with your face but has no power to adjust it. Now you can see I just have but but but grace is different as we behold as we behold as we behold we are changed. We are changed. Grace changes us. The law cannot help us. It shows us what is wrong but can do nothing about it but there's a different mirror to look at. Or is it there's a different way to look at the mirror as we look with the crisp perspective we are changed into the same image from glory to glory not by our power, but by the spirit of God not by might, not by power but by my spirit says the Lord. Somebody rejoice if we hear what I'm saying. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Go back there. No benefit. We fist. I love this. We fist on a sacrifice. We fist on a sacrifice at our spiritual altar but those who serve as priests in the old system of worship have no right to eat of it. Let's see. Level. Hi. For the happiest carries the blood of animals. So the whole less chambas the sacrifice of sin and then burns the bodies. What for sure is that? Okay. Of the animals outside the city. That's well. And Jesus our sin sacrifice also. Suffering death outside the city. Walsh to make us holy by his own blood. That's 30. So we must arise and join them outside the religious walls. Outside the religious walls and be a lot. He's this grace. He's what they missed to carry your cross because religion hits what Jesus did. Religion is said. That's great. That's true. That's great. That's weapon of deception is somebody here. And what I'm saying. Religion possesses salvation. What you can do and rejects what God has done is somebody here. What I'm saying. Let's go out and shout and say. Look at me. Do you know that if when people of the world want us to think Christianity is morality? No. It's not moral instruction. The Christianity is the moral instruction. Christianity is faith in Christ. You can be moral and single to hell. I'm not making sense. Anybody but with your faith in Christ you know only a shot of heaven. You have morality too. Somebody say, hey man. Glory to God. He said let us go out bearing this disgrace because the world is okay when you speak about everything else but we some mentioning the sufficiency of faith in Christ. This narrow road that by only which man can be saved. That man can only be saved not by his good works not by anything he does but by faith in Christ. The world gets angry. People get angry. Who do you think you are? To say that only by Christ people can be saved. Child of God we stand ground our ground stronger that conversation only by Christ can be saved. Somebody say, hey man good works can save you. Charity can save you. Only Christ can save. Only Jesus can save. Take the present beside you. Only Jesus. Oh single our only Jesus. We sound is the old song we used to sing. Only Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah only Jesus. Nothing but there is no other way. There is no other way. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Somebody say, what did you just say? What did you just say? Somebody say, hey man, bearing his disgrace. That's for sure. That's for sure. That's for sure. Next verse. For we have no city here on earth to be our permanent home but we sit the city that is destined to come. And then I want we have no attachment to anything here. We see the way we are wired by our faith in Christ. We will not because of the world or acceptance but the world abandoned our faith in Christ because the truth is the truth is we are here temporary really. We are not these are the permanent location. So why would you because of something temporary abandoned something permanent? Next verse. That's 15. That's 15. So we no longer offer up. We no longer offer up a steady stream of blood sacrifices but through Jesus who offer up to God a steady stream of prayers sacrifices. These are the lambs. We offer from our lips that said it breaks his name. Somebody shout it big, hey man. Glory to God. Glory to God. So let us feast on grace. Let us feed on the word of his grace. Let us have a grace mindset that has be filled with the grace of God. Somebody say, hallelujah. I'll show you a scripture some from the TPD rendition. Acts 2032 Paul was departing from Ephesus and he told the church as he was living. He says, I commend you to God and to the word of his grace which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all of them that are sanctified by faith in me. Now, now, the guess but sanctified by faith. Now see how it is rendered again in the passion commentary. Yes, you will love this. You will love this. And so now I entrust you into what? God's hands. Enter what? The message of his grace. Where is all that you need to become strong? All of God's blessings are imparted. How are they imparted? Through the message of his grace. Can you see that his message is imparted not by anything that comes from you? Yes, sir. But it comes from him. Do you get that? His blessings are not imparted because you did something. Then patted because of his grace. You heard the message of his grace and you believed it and by your faith you received. I'm making sense for anybody. Because it's easy for me to tell you to do 40 days, 10 days, fasting, dry, 21 days, 40 days, dry, then bring your Isaac offering after the fasting. What we can do is we die. You have 21 31 this first in drag then at the end I will not I take you bring Isaac's seat. No now, that's burden upon burden. That's not the gospel of Jesus. Everything God does is in, but you know, human beings prefer that one because it's something you are doing. And you think what you are doing can make it happen. No, sir, no, sir. What happens is what you hear what God has done in Christ, put your faith in Christ, you can receive from God. Is somebody here, what I'm saying to you? Somebody say, "You man." You're a glory to God. So is this, all of God's blessings are imparted. How? Somebody say, "A man." Now, let's ask you an author's story that would drive you to point it for me. First summer of 15. First summer of 15. First summer of 15. From this 13. The stories have got told so to go to Amalek, kill everybody. And now, I let everybody kill everything. Not just you leave. Kill the king. Kill everything. Wipe out Amalek. I'm a making sense. And I told you many times people wonder, what would God do that? What would God do that? Listen, if somebody comes to your house and wants to kill your children, if you kill that person, is it more that you committed or defense? Talk to me now. I didn't hear you. If somebody comes to your house, I want to kill your children. And you killed the person. Did you commit murder? Or you defended your family? OK, that was what was happening here. What God did here is defense. Because all these nations had the capacity and in some way in their mind to wipe out Israel. If the wipe Israel out, Christ would not come in the flesh. So God, what God was doing here, to wipe out nations, he was protecting the Christ that would come through Israel. Is somebody anyone I'm saying? So don't let people tell you, oh, the God of the Bible, in search of people, keep people, keep people, ask the person if they want to kill your people. What will you do? All right, say, "Frighteous, say, "Frighteous person." What will you do? I'm making sense for anybody here. Well, let's get back to it. And this is called "righteous anger." Righteous judgment. God does right to do that. Somebody say, "Yeah, man." But now, so the story is that, so God said to him, Saul, to Samuel, wipe everybody out. Now, and someone came to Saul and said to Saul, "Blessed be thou the Lord, I have performed the commandment of the Lord." Samuel, Saul came, he already put himself, "I've done everything this I should do." Next verse. And someone now said, "What made this bleating of sheep "and in my ears and the lowering of oxen which I hear." Next verse. And they so said, "They have brought them from their malakites." For the people spared, watch it now, watch it now, "Sped what, the best of the sheep and of the oxen, "to do what, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God, "and the rest we have all tallied this show." Look at me. This was not deception, that they stored the talk to some, so they can eat it. No. They had a very good intention. That the best of the animal, so as they were killing everything, "This one find now, this is the type that we need "for sacrifices." One of them questioned them, why don't we carry them? So in their mind, they were doing something for God. They were doing something to impress God. They are not following and teaching this morning. If this is not the trick of, let's go, if it's no, 'cause they eat them and look at what. If it does, who they will not kill anyone. They took the best ones. And the intention was to please God, to sacrifice to the Lord. I need to hear what they're teaching. It's nothing in their mind, in their mind. They were going to say, "Ah, we took the best one. "We will be commended for this." Show me. And there's some of them said to us all, "Stay." And I will tell you what the Lord has said to me this night, and he said to him, "Say on, let's verse." And some of them said, "When that was lit in your eyes, "was I not made the head of the tribes of Israel?" And then I'll walk, "Where do you do? "The Bikingo of Israel." Nothing. And the Lord, I don't think, King of Israel. Next verse. And the Lord sent the, and the John, and said, "God, I'll tell you the truth." He said, "Same as, but the guys will fight against them until they are consumed." Verse 19, "We're for the, we're for the, "then these, they're not obeyed the voice of the Lord, "but the, but this, fly upon the spoil, "and this even in the sight of the Lord." Next verse. And some said to some, "Yeah, I obeyed the voice of the Lord." He said, "Same mind, he obeyed God." In some mind, he did what God says, "You'll do in his mind." In their past mark. And I've brought agab the King of them, I'm a leg, and I'm utterly destroyed their malakites. Next verse. But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things, the chief of the things, the chief of the things, which would have been destroyed, to sacrifice, under the Lord thy God in Gilgar. Next verse. And some said, "Has the Lord as great delight "in bunch of friends and sacrifices, "as in obeying the voice of the Lord, "behold to obey?" He's better than what sacrifice, and to hack in than the fact of Rams. Next verse. Next verse. "For a billion is as the same of witchcraft, "and stubbornness is as what, iniquity and what, "I don't let you underline, I don't let you in." Because thou has rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected thee from being king. Look at me carefully. Saul and Israel, which are to do something good in their mind, it was something good they were trying to do. But God did not want what they were doing. All the one that was doing what I said, wiped them out completely. I'm gonna make a sense to anybody. And look at me. What God wants from us today, the obedience he wants from us today, is obedience to the faith, obedience to the truth, obedience to the gospel is somebody hearing what I'm saying. Now the obedience God needs to do in Romans let me say that's scripture. Romans chapter one verse five show me. Romans one verse five. Romans one verse five quickly. Look at the Bible. By whom I've received what? Grace and apostoship for what obedience to the faith. Oh, Romans 10 16. Romans 10 16 quickly. Romans 10 16. Romans 10 16. Quickly. But they are not on obeyed. What? The gospel not obeyed the gospel. Um, Galician 31. Galician 31. Galician 31. Quickly. Galician 31. Oh, foolish Galicians who has bewitched you. They should not want obey the truth before Jesus Christ. I've been evidently set forth crucified among you. Look at me. The obedience God wants to them, which is better than any sacrifice you can offer is your obedience to the gospel, your obedience to the faith, your obedience to the truth. What is the truth? What is the faith? What is the gospel? All that God has done in Christ Jesus is somebody having what I'm saying. More than any sacrifice you can offer. More than anything you can do for God. What it wants from you is that you rest completely in the sacrifice of Jesus. That is obedience in the sight of God. You're not hearing what I'm saying. Obedience in the sight of God is first of all that you rest completely because that's what he has commanded. That the only way man can be saved is by faith in not what man can do, but what God has done in Christ. If we see I hear. That's why the road is narrow. The road is not narrow to life because he wants to be a man. He wants to be a man to be saved. Because he wants all men to be saved. He's not as with an initial parish, but the road is narrow because there's only one way a man can be saved. One way and how has that by faith in Jesus? And when we say salvation is only a matter of time. We need to have no help. It's everything in between. From forgiveness to healing, to protection, to favor, to provision. All of the blessings of God are encapsulated in salvation. And the only way to receive it is by faith in Christ. Is somebody hearing what I'm saying? So that's why you must think grace and not sing the law. Whatever things are lovely. Let your perspective be a grace perspective. Somebody say, "You man, don't be carried away by strange doctrines. Anything that is not graceful." anything that plays down or downplays what God did in Christ Jesus is strange doctrine is wrong doctrine so you must have that perspective to life that perspective that I look to the son I look to what God does on in Christ I rest my faith completely in what Christ has done is somebody here what I'm saying somebody say you man so looking for new things some people tell me someone told me once said bishop I think I need to change church I said why you said all your telemors is Christ Christ Jesus Christ I said that's what the Bible says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and for don't be carried away by new novel new doctrines stay with Christ he's living bread he's living water feed on him feast on him somebody say yeah man if our house I live beans friends they had beans for 10 days they were wiser they were smarter they were stronger somebody rejoice in this I know I know men are happy come in like beans I know no use beans do me a beans somebody say hey man so the obedience look at me so the obedience now that is better than sacrifice is faith in Christ obedience to the truth obedience of faith obedience of the gospel that is the obedience that God wants now that's the sacrifice he wants now trust in what Jesus did up your mouth I'm praying for what God has done in Christ you know asking you to bring anything tell somebody God is never asking you to bring anything for him to do anything for you to anybody that tells you God told him to tell you that has just light no matter his title no matter his title a true prophet will tell you the sacrifice of Jesus is enough put your faith in that sacrifice and then you receive from God somebody shout a big hallelujah the the a positive all I'm saying is to be legalistic and think that your effort or what comes from you is what makes God do what it does and whenever you shift from that to yourself what you can do you are substituting the work of Christ with yourself human effort and the simple language was substituting what but as on in Christ is called idolatry you are now you are now worshiping yourself you now feel that what you can do is more powerful than what Christ has done so your worship is now yourself so when Christ quiet singing today Jesus doesn't get call your own name yeah because you don't believe that what you just did is enough so if you believe what you don't do is enough then you can sing that song Jesus but somewhere in your mind if what he did is not enough there's something you have to do to after what he did or replace what he did don't call his name call your own name let's try to let me to what call your name Wally Wally self-worship idolatry no there's a lot of them we call what what is that name what is that name Jesus I'm Paul shows us that that is from verse four that's when you shift from grace to the law it is idolatry that is for from the seven look at Bible that is for from the seven I think we will stop at some point I'm going to finish this book I thought there was one day one one every seven that is for you there from the seven that is for the seven says we have four that what number seven but what and the Sunday and what have got through Christ on the other state what other state how be it then when you knew not God get it's not you did service unto them which we are which by nature are no gods you an idolatry how do you do that let's verse but now after you have known God or rather a known of God how Tony again to weak and beggarly elements we have by where until you desire a game to be impounded let's verse but you observe now how are they doing in idolatry you observe days months times yes you just reach what things you do in idolatry that you thought will give you salvation or make please the God that you are saving you know in idolatry who does have to do here before and you know some duty before and when I come you some duty come when some duty before when I come there's some to do before not be now so does do you give anything free you must bring fast to do you what do you give to you you bring to this call to this you bring your brother or your call yes yes so you so you observe so do you does not give anything free you must first bring for you do hoping that you do we now respond based on what you are bring and sometimes you know if you do not come bring do do do do do do do do do do do do do do with the high priest because that you say the thing you bring nor in all rich may go bring more happy you call the goal for you go bring good so power selling them when you serve idols that's what you did see how now you have come into Christ and you still think that you you are bringing the mindset of do you into Christ you nothing that is what you do you know think is what you do you have to do and do enough for God to respond our God is not like that and whenever you shift to that mentality sadness for you you have shifted into idol because you are saying what he did is not enough when I did church they were asked where ask for church where I say if woman telly horseback say you don't satisfy me I'm going to look for another man what did this man talk about the Gaza Gaza this is my way different so we say Gaza so if you don't know what Gaza is you know what Gaza is you know what America right now wants to take the country to leave there because Gaza is finished you tell your horseback say you know racial Salvo Gaza now it feels like a joke but that's what you do when you reject the sufficiency of the sacrifice of Jesus you are calling Gaza for yourself I I came to the one into you this morning what Jesus did is enough think grace think grace rest in what he has done rest in this sufficiency of his work is somebody here in what I'm saying think grace so it's so so when you shift from grace and you start thinking the law thinking months efforts you have come into idolatry I cannot say something by idolatry idolatry idolatry Podcast Summary

Key Points:

  1. The speaker emphasizes that all God's promises are for believers in Christ, and what is true of Christ is true of them as a present reality, not a future hope.
  2. Salvation, redemption, and forgiveness come only through Jesus' sacrifice; believers in Christ cannot go to hell because of their faith in Him.
  3. The heart must be established in grace, not the law; grace glorifies Christ, while the law glorifies man's efforts and cannot save.
  4. Mixing law and grace (human effort with God's work) is rejected; believers must choose grace alone, as seen in the Laodicean church's error.
  5. Good preaching points to Christ and His finished work, not to the preacher or to self-effort; faith in Christ's work is how all blessings are received.
  6. Believers are called to bear Christ's disgrace, reject religious rules that have no power, and feast on grace through the message of His grace, which builds them up.
  7. The story of Saul sparing the Amalekite animals for sacrifice illustrates how even good intentions (like pleasing God) can be disobedience when they deviate from God's specific command.

Summary:

FAQs

The central message is Christ and His finished work on the cross. Faith in Christ alone is what saves, heals, provides, and protects, not human effort or good works.

The law puts the burden on what you can do for salvation, glorifying man, while grace glorifies Christ by focusing on what God has done. Grace changes us as we behold Christ, but the law only shows what is wrong without power to fix it.

No. The Bible says whoever believes in Jesus shall not perish but have everlasting life. Believers do not go to hell because God does not turn His back on those who put their faith in Christ.

Good preaching turns you to Christ and strengthens your faith in His finished work. Bad preaching turns you to the preacher or to yourself, making you focus on what you must do to provoke God.

It means to feed on the message of God's grace, which builds you up and imparts all of God's blessings. This is received through faith, not by human efforts like fasting or offerings.

God was protecting the lineage of Israel so that Christ could come in the flesh. It was righteous defense, like killing an attacker who wants to destroy your family, not random violence.
