It is well documented that she is basically only the first lady in name only. Because she does not stay at the White House. She doesn't stay around the White House. And she hates her husband. And the latest snub of Donald Trump. By Melania might be one of the funniest yet. Because of course, it is coming during the whole Natalie Harp saga. But also, as Republicans give up on her husband as well. We have so much to talk about in this video. A lot to me that suggests that these two might be getting a divorce very soon. Or Melania is waiting with bated breath just like us for that big beautiful obituary to come. But we got so much to talk about. But this isn't a recent development. It's an important point I feel I have to make again and again. This is. This has been the state of play for a long time. And a friend of the show, Sarah Matthews, who worked in the first Trump administration, but resigned after January 6th, told me recently what her experience with Melania was like. And it sheds important light on this latest story. It's where I want to start before we get into Melania's snub. Why I think they're getting divorced. And I also just want to talk about what horrible people Republicans are. So do stick around for that. But it starts with what Sarah had to say. Yeah, you know, it's so funny because when I was working on the campaign for a year and then at the White House the last seven months of the first admin, I met, you know, the vice president. I met almost, you know, every cabinet official, all these things at different events. I met members of the first family, met all of them at one point or another. The only person I never met was Melania Trump. I never met the first lady, even though I was the deputy spokesperson for the president on his campaign and then in the White House. And I think that that's pretty telling. That kind of sums it up. Where it was this known thing that she was just not around and she didn't want to be around. She didn't want to stay at the White House. You know, she thought the White House was old and falling apart and she wanted to, you know, be in New York and do her own thing. And I think she does have different things that she's passionate about. She's done a lot when it comes to foster care and I give her credit for that. Like that's why she showed up at the White House because it was part of her foster care work that she did. That's why she was at the White House this past week. But I have to admit that the timing is a little suspect with all of the Natalie Harp things happening in the news and floating around that she decided to make an appearance. And I will admit that I also thought that her, her joke was kind of funny, acknowledging it. But I, we know too that it's been reported that Melania gets paid for showing up at events when she was, when they were on the campaign trails, which is crazy to think that you have to pay your own wife to show up somewhere. But I wonder if her rate has gone up after all of this news because I'm sure she doesn't like any of this being out there. Whether or not it's true of if there is something inappropriate happening between Trump and Natalie Harp. Again, I don't think so. But I just think it's a bizarre relationship, but I can guarantee that Melania does not like that being out there in the news just so she doesn't like when everything came to light with Stormy Daniels because she thought it was embarrassing as it is. That is embarrassing for any wife to be put in that situation. And so I think that I, I imagine her rate has gone up now, given all of the news happening this week. To be the deputy press secretary and to have never met the first lady. And that could only happen in Donald Trump's administration, an administration in which Melania hates her husband. And these are the people, by the way, lecturing to us on quote unquote family values. Can you name me one happy Republican couple? All of these people seem like they're in and like jail or that they're hostages. Have you seen Newt Gingrich's wife? Who's the ambassador to Switzerland? I think she's got like a hair helmet. She looks like AI. She's not real. I don't think she is. And as it just goes to show former Speaker of the House, former Republican Speaker of the House and his wife is a robot. Like these people are not happy. There is no. Love in these relationships and it is why I am insisting on making the point that Melania Trump much like everyone in the Trump crime family should be investigated and should be prosecuted because she's made her tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of her connection to the presidency and she's not just she's not Trump's wife. Oh, they're going after the wife. No, she's just a corporate player. Melania is there to make money and we know that because she is not showing up to help Donald Trump during the midterms. It's just so funny. That it's getting so much worse. Melania hits Trump with a major new snub. The First Lady has avoided being with the president as much as possible this year. Melania Trump has opted out of showing support for Donald Trump at the president's midterm convention. So I guess the latest Republican to drop out of the event a White House official told the Washington Examiner that the First Lady has no intention of attending the event in Dallas next week. Which Trump will headline in an attempt to give the GOP a much-needed boost ahead of the November 3rd elections. Melania's absence is the latest humiliation for Trump surrounding his midterm convention with dozens and dozens of Republican lawmakers already confirming that they will not be attending citing an array of excuses. The main one being that they know Donald Trump is political poison. Melania will not be joining her husband for the two-day televised event. It's also another example. Of the First Lady largely being absent from public life and not even attempting to carry out duties associated with her White House position. Melania is often missing for weeks at a time during Donald Trump's second administration with a Daily Beast analysis and shout out to the Daily Beast for doing a great job of covering Melania's absences from in early from early August or early August revealing that she had been seen in public only 38 days of the year so far as of September 4th. Today, she has only made 40 public appearances her last public appearance was at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix where she seemed pretty displeased with Natalie being there so much so that she left last month the White House convinced Melania to give a speech in the Rose Garden to discuss expanding her fostering the future initiative at the time it was her first appearance alongside Trump since attending the FIFA World Cup final in New Jersey on July 19th, Melania was also wheeled out in public. Melania was also wheeled out in public. For the Rose Garden event amid growing media furor and speculation about Donald Trump and Natalie Harp. Oh, of course the president's favorite favorite favorite White House aide who earns a hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year as an executive assistant. Not a small salary. Certainly. I heard you missed me. Here. I am Melania joked with reporters and the White House Rose Garden on August 20th other high-profile events Melania did not attend this year include the rearranged White House Correspondents dinner on July 24th and the funeral for Senator Lindsey Graham a top Trump ally and closet homosexual on July 28th. Sorry. I just have to say it unfortunately for Trump Melania is not the only one who is bailed on the president's midterm convention next week. Multiple GOP lawmakers have said they will not attend the event with scores. More still undecided Republicans have given multiple reasons for their absence including deciding they would be better off remaining in their districts to campaign ahead of their crucial run-up to the midterms and concerns about the eye-watering $25,000 entrance fee. Others believe it would be better to distance themselves from the deeply unpopular president to boost their election hopes. One House Republican told Politico they are not attending the event because it will be a waste of time as it will only interest the president's base. You shouldn't be having to rally your base at this point. The House Republican. Told Politico you should be trying to convince independence. Independence are not attending nor watching the midterm convention and unfortunate scheduling issue. Also means the event could be a ratings dud both nights of the September 9th and 10th convention will coincide with the first two games of the NFL season, which are guaranteed guaranteed to draw a bigger audience than hours of speeches sensing a potential flop. Trump made the desperate move to headline both nights of the midterm convention. Oh great after originally. Being scheduled to appear on only one in an attempt to give the event a bigger draw. Donald Trump wants to set the tone for the entire convention. A party official told Reuters about the plan. Donald Trump is getting desperate. It doesn't get a lot more desperate than that. And he's also desperate with Melania. He's asking for money from Republicans and they're saying, oh, it's a dues paying thing because if you're in Congress, you know, you have to pay your dues to your party. You have to pay different sort of dues. And so they're spinning it as that but maybe Donald Trump is raising the money. so he can purchase Melania for a nice and I say it in that language specifically, I think we all know why, so she will attend. Maybe not this event, but one in the future. But I find it so gross that Melania and also these Republicans think that they can just run away without accountability, that they can just hide when these are people who are, what, they're also hiding the files? I'm not going to have bread or glass in my sourdough fucking bread, and no one's going to be held accountable for that. You're going to lose your seat. You will lose social credit. Not like the system way, but I mean, like, you should be shunned and shamed. All of these people should be booed everywhere they go for the rest of their lives. It is why it will be my—and I'm sorry for the language, although I'm not—goddamned mission to make sure that Donald Trump and the American government and his entire family not only are shamed for the rest of history, but that these people are held accountable. I will tolerate zero queasy Democrats going, "Oh, you know, Melania, she's just the wife of former first lady. Are we going to go after her?" First of all, it's politically popular because people fucking hate Melania because why wouldn't they? Like, she wore a jacket going to visit kids in cages that says, "I don't really care, do you?" And she didn't even really visit. She didn't. She doesn't care. She doesn't care about us. This is a person making business decisions, and those business decisions mean that Jeff Bezos pays not a cent in taxes. Neither does Amazon. So yeah, I want these people fucking held accountable for their crimes, and I will not allow any laundering of their legacies. It's not going to happen. And for you Republicans that think you can get away with this—I'm not even just talking about the people in power, the people who voted for this shit—you also deserve to be shamed. I'm not having it. Do not allow them to run away because they are running away from Trump, sure. They're also running away from accountability, and accountability, you better catch their ass.
