There’s Only So Many Topics

The conversation begins with a playful debate about which feeling to eliminate—anxiety or nausea—before diverging into nostalgic stories. They recall childhood moments, like sipping Four Loko at a birthday party and smuggling beers in a bumblebee costume, which leads to reflections on their younger selves. One speaker reveals plans to move out of her basement apartment, as the lack of daylight makes her feel depressed, though hosting college friends over the weekend was a bright spot. They also discuss upcoming events, including a brother's wedding in December 2026, where one speaker hopes to bring a plus-one for emotional support and humorously considers wearing a kilt to stay cool. The conversation shifts to personal habits and health. They talk about sleeping with stuffed animals, with one speaker admitting she still sleeps with her Beanie Baby, Hodgepodge. Skincare and cosmetic procedures come up, including lip flips, Botox, and Accutane, which one speaker claims shrinks the nose. They share uncomfortable experiences, like a hay steam room in Italy and intense sweating issues. Dreams become a topic, with one speaker describing disturbing, graphic nightmares involving Antonio Banderas as a sex therapist at American Eagle, which she attributes to anxiety. They wrap up by touching on celebrity news, including Taylor Swift's wedding and Benson Boone's career, and mention plans for the next episode with a different host. The tone is casual, humorous, and deeply personal, blending everyday anxieties with lighthearted banter.

If you could pick one feeling to never experience for the rest of your life, what would it be? Have I already asked this? Well, I know what yours is. What? Naja. But mine would be anxiety for sure. We have done this is something we've done because I was just thinking. No. You just don't want to be nervous. I've never experienced nausea or anxiety. I was just thinking that. But they're so closely linked. Yeah, because you could get anxious about how nauseous you are. And nauseous about how anxious you are. For sure. I would never experience nausea. We've, I'm sorry, we've had this conversation. It's like there's only so many topics. Well, I'll tell you one that's kind of like pretty closely linked to both of those. What? I picked up this new, I used to drink a lot of kombucha. Yeah. I don't know what, like I kind of just like, you know me. If people are like, this is good for you and this is like the new thing, I'm just going to start doing it. Retta. The kombucha has been around. I know kombucha is like, old as dirt. But yeah. They're like, GT, GTS kombucha. I remember when. I didn't know about the GTS model. Is it GTs? It's something. It's GTs, I think. I started getting this like in college because at my office that I worked at, they had it for free in the fridge. And I was reading them pretty constantly and I just saw them again and I was like, that sounds good to me. This specific flavor, vital C, is genuinely a four-local, and yeah, have you had a four-local? I was just about to say, you know, I've never even, it's never even touched my lips. Okay. I'm going to try to think of something. Think about if you mix. It can't chemical. If you mix together Cologne with like a fruit punch Capri-san, that is what a four-local tastes like. And it would probably. That doesn't sound like horrible. Cologne? I don't know. I mean, that sounds better than like vodka to me. Oh, Lord. I remember the first time I was exposed to drinking was a four-local. We were at some kids' birthday party and there was a four-local hidden in the bathroom. And everyone was like, going and taking sips of it and then coming back out. And my friend, one of my best friends took a sip and I was like, I honestly don't think I can be friends with you anymore. Did I tell you about the Halloween that we did, something similar? By the river? The Halloween. It was a lake. By the lake. Almost there. Yeah, but I was a bumblebee costume and my friends were all. Yeah, there's only. Listen, if someone might have started listening to you today and you can listen to this, sorry. I think we were 12 and my friends were older than me. So they were like a level of like, let's go out to my dad's fridge in the garage and we'll take some beer and they put them in because I was a fat bumblebee for Halloween. Yes, yes. I know this. And it zipped from the back and they were like, we're going to put the beers into your fat bumblebee costume. And they did just that. And so I'm wobbling through the house. Just fat as can be full of beers. And then we opened one and then we threw the rest into the lake. And then they started bobbing around like cauliflower and they're floating towards the house that all of our parents are at the back at yard of. Oh, that was nightmare fuel. Twelve feels really, really young. I always say 12. Like I'm pretty sure I was still like talking to my stuffed animals. That tracks your both of us. Yeah. I mean, I still check in with my stuffies. It is hard to shake that feeling that there is a living breathing sentience in my ceiling. Like you can't tell me that there's nothing there. I can't tell me that there's nothing there because the actual physical, almost debilitating guilt I felt for chewing off Ceeley's whiskers so I could fall asleep every night. Makes me still, still makes me feel very, very full. Not because I get the whiskers, but because I actually feel probably a little sick. Naja meets anxiety mode. I chewed his nose off too. Did you swallow it? Probably a decent amount of his nose. Yeah, I probably swallowed it. It was like a hard, I'm picturing like hard shell. No, this was a very nice stuffy. Oh, it was threaded. It was an elevated stuffy. I think the nose is more leather, which you can eat leather. Oh, it's leather. It was leather-bound. He's not leather-bound. His nose was leather, like felted leather, soft nose because he was a soft nose seal, I think. I go white. Hodgepodge's nose. Hodgepodge is a beanie baby. Is this still actively sell beanie babies or are they all antiques? I don't know. I could definitely see, and this is pretty tragic. I could see like LeBoubou putting beanie baby out of business, which is sad to think about. Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, out of business. Oh, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby. Is he, can you see if Hodgepodge is still for sale? Is he, see if they sell, still sell beanie baby? Just on eBay. For $5, that's extremely hurtful. He's worth so much more. Oh, 2002, he's so cute. He's a good boy. Do you, is Hodgepodge still with us? Of course. I sleep with Hodge every night. I didn't know that. Yes. Like, if you listen, do what have? I've got to have him on my arm. I know. I know that. Oh. I thought that was like a memoriam in memoriam. No. It's like honoring him. Oh. I see lives and breathes. Well, fabulous. What did it, what have, so I, I mean, I saw you. Welcome back to "Brook and Karamaka" podcast, too, as well. What has happened since I saw you last? I know that we have like an un, our schedule of late has been just brilliant. F'd. Kind of F'd. Yeah. It's been F'd. Hard to talk about. So the last we spoke, you were thinking of moving? I am out, no, I'm not completely out, but like, I am like in my mind, I have made several phone calls. Well, I've physically made several phone calls. In your mind, you've made several phone calls. In my mind, I have a plan to make several phone calls. Yeah. So, but in terms of action, have you done anything? Yes. This is the one time I have been like, get your ass up and move, because I'm like, this is just not conducive for me, and it's making me not feel so good. So I've sent several emails to no response, which is so funny. And then I've made some phone calls as well. But we are moving. Okay. And I'm going to be more safe, but it's funny because this weekend I had all my college friends come in town. And I was like, my place was like the option to have fee, but like, it was just like in between are like, we went on a boat during the day. I went on a boat. You went on a boat, too? Yeah, I didn't know you went on a boat. Yeah, we went on a boat down the Hudson. It was amazing, not like, not like Splish Splash, but a bunch of people like our friends like brought bathing suits, thinking it was going to be like, when we went to college in Austin, boat party meant like, you know, where you're bathing suit, and I was just you simply, that's just simply not, we were like over by the satchee liberty and they're like, when can we get off? And I was like, what did you? But yeah, I had people over and it was actually really lovely having people over because at night time, it doesn't matter how much, how much light you get into your apartment. It's not as depressing because it's lovely having guests over. But they're like, why are you moving? This is amazing. I've seen it at noon. Like just from what I had seen of it at night time, it looks like a pretty good space. So I would maybe give it, maybe give it a few weeks before you make any decisions. I'm not willing or it sounds good. I need day time. I need daytime. Okay. I just wonder what you thought before about a basement cellar. What? I just wonder like what you thought was going to happen with a basement like cellar. Probably. A basement? I'm on the ground floor. I wouldn't call it the ground floor if you have to go down steps. But I'm touching the backyard. I'm at sea level with the backyard. But your front door, like don't you have to go down steps? Sure. I would call that slightly below sea level. Okay. But the backyard is on on par with the house. I guess. Okay. Well, anyways, yeah, like sand isn't always even, you know, there's drop-offs and sandbars and stuff like that Like your back yard's not like on a higher like sandbar. So Okay Okay, I see yeah, that does make sense Well, I'm moving so that's it. That's that's all I have to say, but it was um I haven't seen my college friends in like Since the last time someone got married, which is crazy. We have not been all together and So it was lovely. It was amazing and the last but the last time we were all together, it was ordaining my friends wedding And then I was like wait, so I haven't seen you guys since you're wedding You know, these are like some of my best friends and they were like no And I was like So it's been you guys have been physically married for almost three years going on three years Which is we're there than me not seeing them, you know, yes, they're fully like in a We're going on five, which is basically ten, which is a decade or all of your college friends married No, I'd say half okay. That's fine. Yeah, and no one No, I keep forgetting I keep being like because I I introduced you my college friends one and Dana I introduced and I still felt like like I sat in between them at launch like I still felt like I was like the link between them Even though they're married, you know, right. Yes. Yeah, it's kind of weird They are married completely one hundred percent are any different. Yeah, you just went to a wedding me. Yeah when I'm losing track of like how much I was like a year ago. Oh, oh time. Yeah Okay, that's I want coming up though You do. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, and Philly. Yeah, that'll be fun one It does change the uh, then I have my brothers and the new brothers, right? We're kind of In a unique situation with that because originally me and Gabby were not getting plus ones Unless we were in like serious relationships. Yeah, so we were both like okay, I Guess that's fine. Whatever Because we both will just be each other's plus one and it's also our brother. So we have family there and stuff like that And unfortunately for for me Gabby's now in a relationship and so I guess if If that says like she will probably bring a plus one to know is wedding and so I think it will probably be hard for me To be at my younger brothers wedding alone while my sister eight years younger than me has a plus So we're gonna have to I've spoken to my brother already plans have been put in place That I will be able to activate a plus one if needed As for like for my health. Yeah, we're gonna plus yeah, yeah Okay, I don't think and this is like I think you guys being sisters like you could do a plus one. You should have no I know I I don't think like they're they're not giving any one plus ones. I don't think unless they're like I think there could be exceptions for your So that's what I had said But my brother said he wanted all of my attention on him, which I said is that makes sense. It's fair But you're not gonna care on the day You don't even see the public and this is a health thing. This is a health thing at this point. Yeah, if you care Yeah, I think like any if someone's coming in there like just your friend You didn't know and he needs to have plus ones because you're gonna have other friends there It would be weird. I'm not gonna have any friends there If they if you were just a friend of his that's fine to not you know, yeah, no, but I agree that I explained to him that it's abnormal But he's not giving He's been flexible now that there's been a health as you introduce That make it take your health scare introduced take your girlfriend with you. Yeah, so all good there Possibly that's amazing. Good for you. We'll see how that goes When is that? Winter of Six coming on seven Next year It's like New Year's vibes. Oh my gosh. Wait. It's 2026. Yeah, something weird is happening over here Like in the time space continuum. Yeah, cuz I was like oh you have a you have over a year to get No, it's in December But I could still be in a serious relationship by then for sure for sure. It's on July, but I'm not looking No, seek don't attract. I mean attracts Attracts don't chase. I want to I want to bring my cats That's not gonna you can't do that. I know that. I'm just saying what I want While acknowledged that I also can't do that if Rob or Jonathan turned into a man would you date your Man cat No, okay, unless like they were really hot or something? No, no, no, no, I really really truly need you to say with your chest If Rob or John turned into a man would you date him? No, those are my kids. Please don't say okay. Good. I was just really worried you were gonna be like yeah, what if like John like turned into like MGG What if you know no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no But like that's not John that's John morphing. No, no, no, that is John's soul Okay, if it was his soul Well, then that's we then it's like He's been there all on No, I would obviously not enter into a relationship with my cats Right, but but I'm just saying like I Think yeah, there's some really interesting ways it could go like if John turned into One like someone else That'd be a different person that'd be a different person Yeah, but if John was still John Then now just say no like we should we should move forward with like it's just a solid no Okay, that you wouldn't date your cat No, I obviously would not date my cat Connor. I'm in love with my cats. I know like as a as a child I'm like my soulmates like Truly, I believe that Yeah, okay I'm sensing something like there's a there's something I don't have romantic feelings for my cats Okay, that what you want me to say yeah No, I did want you to say that but there are the loves of my life. Oh, that's one that you would freak for. What? That's Leonardo DiCaprio, Marc Ruffalo, Michelle Williams. No. See, one thing I'm not going to do is watch Shutter Island while I'm living in a basement. Sorry. I eat. No, it's not basement-forward, it's island-forward. I don't want to be underground when I see a visual of that woman with her finger over her lips. She's just in it for one second. I can't. I really can't even. She's really. Like, that's her moment. Like, that's it. No, bro, can you imagine I have a can, and then I see her for one moment, and then I turn off my lights and my underground apartment, and I have to just imagine that she's probably not my cabinet. It is really an intense film. It's very much like six cents vibes, kind of. Like you think you're watching one thing, and then it's like, holy shit, I'm watching a different thing. The Charlemagne Twist? Yes. Is it Charlemagne? No, this is a Martin Scorsese motion picture. Very cool. It's really, really good. I will say for the first two hours, I'm like, and this was the same, I've watched it twice. The first two hours, I'm like, huh, I don't know. And then, the rest, like, wow, my God, that's crazy. You just have to get through that first two. Once you get through those first two hours, the rest is like very much the new sailing. And it's one of those where it's like, you don't know what's going on in a way that's like, I wish I knew maybe like a little bit more, but then once you know what's going on, it's like, wow. Can we remove the young woman? Sorry, from the screen. Why? And her up here is biggest brook on my end. It literally feels like broken, broken Connor and woman make podcast. I love her. I love that bitch. Broke. She's the shesher. Genuinely, like, that is what the essence of that man looks like. No, that's doing that woman a disservice. But like, that's how evil the that man's energy was. No. Yes. That was the worst in her. Was she evil in the movie? Don't tell me. I want to watch it. That was it. That's all you. We got from that woman was just how is she doing? They get to the island and then she's going and that's it. That's the last we see of her. What should you do for work? What do you have to say? We don't know anything about her. How does she pay rent on an island? What does she do? You do not have to pay rent at the mental facility. Oh, she said facility is a mental health institution for the criminal insane. Why was she out and about alone? We don't know anything. She was just walking the grounds. They're regards there. So. Lovely. Yeah. Oh, fabulous. No, I'm not going to be watching. I didn't even know you watched the island. I don't. I just watched the last episode because everyone was watching. But I have like, this is the most I've ever known about love island because of Trinity and Bryce. Yeah. Just like being everywhere and I really support them like with my whole heart. Just from what I've seen, Bryce is really like just seems like an awesome guy and Trinity seems lovely as well. But at first, everyone like when the season aired was like Bryce looks like Matthew Gregoubler and just like from what I saw of him like judging a book by his covers and like being a DJ, I was like, no, he does not. The guy's completely Matthew Gregoubler. Really? Yes. He, I mean, salts of the earth. He is an angel. And then it just came out today like he's good friends with like most of the glee cast. Like he's such an enigma like you wouldn't think that guy's look at look at that comparison between him and him. Oh, I see it. Yeah. Yeah. Stunning. He's a good guy. Well, that's nice. Yeah. It will never not blow my mind how much real estate people have just like the the consumer of these shows. How much real estate you have for like 17 new people in your life to keep up with every year. But then you only carry a few with you. Yeah, I guess. I think also something else I have about love Island is like, I have not watched since you. I told you when I watched. Yeah. Like I haven't watched since like really truly watched since like college. I shouldn't say this because I see these people a lot, but it is like magnificent how careers are started by dating someone. Thank you. Can you see how much I'm sweating? No. Yeah. Can you see? Yeah. It's a lot. Why is it hot in there? What? Is it hot in there? Yeah, we do have to we do have to unplug the AC while we shoot. Oh, I didn't know that honor so it won't pick up on the screen. You should get a portable fan of like a little one that you have to I have to for my hot apartment. No, I mean just like the little handheld ones that you can press against your face, you know, I got I got two asleep next to him. You should get one of those like water bottle squirt ones. You had it. I have one. No, you don't. I have a water bottle squirt one. Oh, like no, you don't have a water bottle squirt one and it's next to my BB BB. Okay. It's sitting right next to my BB BB. Uh, did you know there are Uber XXLs now? No. Imagine my shock this weekend calling an Uber XXL a party bus showed up. To take four of us a mile. Why did you do an XXL? I was curious. Okay. And just for the sake of the story, I'm saying like it was me that called it, but it was actually Frankie's boyfriend, Wilson, um, but I was just saving some words. But now I've actually used a lot of words. Yeah. So like Wilson, but Wilson called an XXL and a full like party van showed up. We will probably never have those in New York, but I did. I have. They're starting to crank them out everywhere. Really? Yeah. I have like every limo driver's contact in the New York city. And I feel like they have my, I feel like I shared my location with some of them because I kid you not every single weekend when we like, like this weekend with my college friends. Like we went to dinner in Chinatown, like 15 of us walk outside limos there and he's just out leaning against his limo and goes, hey. Get in. Have you checked your location services? Is that kind of impossible to say? I don't really know how to access that. Okay. But he picked us up. It was amazing. I love the limo thing. I went in two limos this weekend. It's amazing because you can all fit in one place. For me, I'm talking about the Uber van, not necessarily a limo, but just amazing. Okay. Yeah. We had, um, we had like a bunch of Chinese food, like duck and stuff. And then we got into a limo and it was like 15 of us and no one was really talking. And I was playing like really good music from like college. And I didn't eat one of the options because it just wasn't really speaking to my palate. I could not tell you. Um, it's, I think it was some sort of seafood dish, but it just wasn't calling my name because we were just like underground again and like a big table and it was a BYU restaurant. So there was just kind of like a lot happening. I was like, I'm not going to eat that. And several people were like, I'm feeling not very good. Uh-huh. I had to go home. Wow. It was like, but your Helen, it was a very different experience because we took a, we took a limo. What? I'm not sick. I'm actually hungry. Mmm. This is how much she was sweating though in that movie. Can you see this? Oh, yeah. Oh, absolutely. At first, I had thought those were just like the places that your short was folding in on itself. But no, that's complete. Soakage. And soakage. I used to be so jealous of the girls that could drip sweat and I would pretend that I could. How'd you put splashing water like all over me, but I, I never have been able to drip. You're like things that you wanted for yourself are very unique. You wanted to be able to drip sweat. I want this girl on the bus next to me was always like dripping. Like having a wipe her face constantly because it was beads of sweat. And I was like, I want that so bad because I was just flushed, you know? Sure. And it didn't feel fair. That she was able to, that she was dripping like that. Yeah. God, I was pissed. That's a, that's a white girl. Yeah. I wanted the I- It's really, really bad, and I was always humiliated every single day because I would sit in like AC and I would be drenched in sweat, and it still is in it's inflection, and I still have. I want to get something. I want to get something fixed. I can get Botox, I guess, maybe in my chest or something. Oh, don't be surprised if I come back looking a little bit different in a few weeks, because I have a new dermatologist appointment. And I saw that there were so many things on the menu. So I might like look into that. I want to get a lip slip at the bare minimum. So my lips appear when I smile. What did you say? You have big lips. I did not have big lips, but my top lip disappears when I smile, see? They're bigger than mine. Well, yes, but I also wonder if I get lip filler if my like water type of lips will fill in email. Yeah. So I'm going to ask about that in that language. You know how my lips look giving water? Like, I got filler. Water. That's why. So I'm going to get a lip lip, I think. That's fun. And then possibly filler pendant, depending. Sure. And then I saw there were some few other things that piqued my interest. So. Don't they? I'm not going to do anything to my face. What? Don't they suggest things for you? Yeah, I'm going to ask them what they think I need, but I don't want anything on my face, except for my lip flip. Okay. Yeah, don't. Don't. Don't. Don't get. Don't let your eyes be bigger than your. No, I'm just talking about all this like cool sculpting stuff, which like could be a scam, but I'm really curious about it. That can't be. That can't hurt. I told you about when I got that facial the other day at that spa. Oh, and I want microdermabrasion, whatever that means. Yeah. When I was in Italy, but it was like kind of all an Italian. And did I, did I show you what they gave me to wear? You showed me personally. And I hope you showed the BNC community. I call her back in and be like, I don't know which side goes on the front of me. Yeah. And she was like, it's this one. I was like, what? That goes on the front of me. Like, it's not going to work for my facilities. Like, it's just not what about it wasn't going to work. It was like splitting me down the middle. Like, it wouldn't have provided accurate coverage. No, in fact, it was like, it was kind of like, smishing me. You were smashed. Yeah, but she was like, it's fine because you'll be on your stomach. And I was like, then what are we doing here? You know, like, why am I putting this on? And it's official. Why am I putting on it? I didn't like they weren't going down there at all. No, bro, like the times when I have gotten like a full body and then got naked and they're like, why are you naked? And then I go in for a facial and she's like, here's your thong. I didn't know that. Yeah, it was very weird. In a collian thing. Yeah. Yes, it actually was because even like the co-ed, like the steam room, I went into like a hay steam room, which is just really dumb for someone that's like completely allergic to hay. I was like, why am I so itchy in here? But everyone was naked, the guys and these like older women and these older men were all naked. I was like, I gotta go. This is like, again, then I looked on the outside of the thing and it was just like a clothing optional. No, the naked body is so much less taboo in Europe and so many other places. Yeah, if it wouldn't have been so itchy, I was making everyone uncomfortable because I couldn't stop itching my body from the hay, hey now, hey now. Yeah, I broke out a lot after my facial, which is just like, it was just like, what was the point of all that? Yeah, maybe it was like all the bad stuff was coming out. That's a good way to think about it, but that also sounds like a scam. No, that happened when I was on Acutane. It was so scary. But I wasn't on Acutane. Sure. Oh, okay, sure. I paid for a $56 fee. You would have loved Acutane. No, I talk about water. I had a lot of friends. You can tell when someone's on it. Imagine my lips now, but on Acutane. That is truly just like, you're going to have to go through the eye. No, it's going to get worse before it gets better. It was hard to watch. It's so funny because I guess a lot of people were on it in high school. I didn't know what was going on. I just knew that a lot of people started looking like they had a condition. I just was like, I didn't put any of the pieces together until I went on it. I was after college, I went on it. Then I looked in the mirror and realized everyone that had that condition was on Acutane. It was kind of like a massive brain blast. This one guy, because this one guy's condition, I didn't know what was going on. He was just so soaking wet, greased up. Literally, he put his head in a tub of Vaseline and was also really red. I was like, what happened to this kid? I would stare at him all of his history class because I was like, what happened to this guy? Then all at once, suddenly, all of that moment, I realized the guy was on Acutane and did his head in Vaseline because he had no choice. The guy had no choice but to slick his entire hair back with petroleum jelly and I get it. Now I get it. I wish he had just said something instead of making me guess. I'm doing full head in the tub today. Hi, we want to take a quick break to think of sponsor of today's episode, Tumble. I just moved into a new apartment and I get told you guys about that. And finding a rug is weirdly one of the hardest parts of decorating my space. Kind of because my space is a very weird shape and build. I'll find one that's gorgeous but then I'm terrified to actually live on it because one coffee spill or one muddy shoe could ruin it. And washable rugs always end up looking like a washable rug. That's why I've been so impressed with Tumble. Their rugs actually look like beautiful designer rugs but they're made for real life. One of the coolest things is that rugs are spill proof. Liquid's beat up on the surface instead of soaking in so you can just wipe them away before they become a stain. And when it does need a deeper clean, you can remove the rug from the pad and throw it right in the washing machine. Even the larger size is. The rug pad is honestly genius too. It tucks into hidden corner pockets underneath the rug so everything stays in place without signing around or bunching up. Tumble absolutely nailed the designs. They have so many styles that look elevated and timeless and they're Okiotex certified. So they're made with non-toxic materials that are safe for kids, pets and anyone hanging out on the floor. It's one of those home upgrades that makes your space look lucky while also making your life easier. And I totally owe hundreds of thousands of homes have made the switch. Machine washable rugs made better. For a limited time, our listeners can get 10% off plus free shipping at tumbleliving.com/bnc. That's t-u-m-b-l-e-living.com/bnc. Accutane in and itself is like you get a little nose job with it. How? What do you mean? It's shrinks. To minimize pores and your nose genuinely shrinks and people think it's like a conspiracy, but it's not because when I got my nose job and the swelling wouldn't go down, my nose job doctor was like go on Accutane because that will drastically reduce the swelling. Then I was like, I don't really want to go on Accutane because my acne is not that bad. Then a year later, my acne got really bad and I went on Accutane and the swelling that had never gone down went down like years after my nose job and so I had gotten like a second nose job when I went on Accutane and so many people say who haven't even had nose shops to begin with that they have their nose has shrunk. Alex or I got an Accutane nose job. Oh. Yeah, so I want to go on it again. Did it change your personality? Accutane? Yeah. No. No, I wish. But I was on it when I was teaching and it really like your body just like hurts. It's a hell of a drug. Like your whole body hurts and feels like kind of like achy and brittle. It took me like a joint. Like a joint? Yeah. Like my back was always like, and I just felt like I was a really old person and I was 23 and I was always sitting on the floor with the kids and it took me genuinely 45 minutes to get up like with the help of the children. Like I would have to turn on to all fours and then like they would help me up. They thought you were 400. Yeah. They thought you were that woman on Shutter Island. Yeah. But I have no pictures of myself from that time and if I did you would see that all of my lips at the corners were cracked open and I was constantly bleeding out my face. It was so hot. Have you talked to any of your kids? I guess it's only been what? Like six years? Yes. Oh, not my kids, but their parents. Yeah. And some have read the book and text me and they're like, I remember this like about the preschool scenes. What would they remember? There's a part in Phoebe where like all of the kids are pregnant by shoving pillows under their shirt. Yes. That's something that happened in one of my preschool classes. Did you report that back to their parents? It was just like a well known fact because like they were like continuing to be pregnant at home too. Okay. That's a phase we all go through. Oh, absolutely. So that's been sweet. But I'm also like, okay, we'll don't like finish it. Don't finish the book because it's like, I don't want you to think of me. Like as a romance writer. You have moved on. I understand what you're coming from, but they can't hold that. They can't hold you to that. You don't work there. Yeah. You good? Sorry. I know. I just scared because my new upstairs neighbor just texted me. Oh, what do you say? Well, we had been chatting because I've since found out some information about who I'm about to have an email conversation with and how they're not very super kind. So looking forward to that. Good. Yes. What does your pot say? LeCost. Oh, I thought I said LaCucci. No, it's like. LaCucci. Oh, gosh, it might as well. It looks like I'm full-blown lactating. How about you stand up? Stand up and show us. What's going on in your underarms, anything? No. You know what's weird? It's not really. My pits don't like, I don't have like pit stains in any of my shirts. Like a lot of my guy friends like, you look at their white t-shirts and there's like a clear. Right. They're like, this is just like an undershirt because that's, you know, it like is a catch-all for it. I think there's some women too. I might not be a dropper, but. The pits, different story. Yeah. I sweat on my chest and on my back, which is a lot. I sweat on my back. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Mine puts you in my crack. Yeah. Those are going to be hot spots as well for me. My dreams and like, I know it's not fun to hear about other people's dreams are so not okay in a way that I was like, okay, what am I doing that needs to stop in order to stop these dreams. So I stopped smoking and I'm still having these dreams and I don't know. It's like very disturbing graphic, like violent, some are violent, some are like just really unacceptable in different ways. Are you able to read them? I can, I'll share one loosely while trying to avoid how graphic it was, but basically, you know those sex therapists and Amsterdam, but like, you like, have sex with. Oh, no. I'm not familiar with that. They're like, if you have like issues with like trauma or like intimacy, like you can be physical with these therapists in order to like, break those barriers. Are they licensed practitioners? And I think it's legal in Amsterdam, yeah, it kind of seems like that might be off the book. It's not legal in the US. Okay. But they're so about it. It's pretty interesting. But anyway, I was seeing one of these therapists and it was Antonio Banderas, I'll be honest about that. And I'll be honest about that. And we're having a session, I'm sure you were. I don't need, like, I'm not getting into it, but the session was at an American Eagle. Okay. That's, I get that storefront and in an addressing room and Bryce from Love Island was working the counters and just like the general retail space and just kept asking if we have, you doing okay in there? And that then there was like a very separate part of the dream that was like, there was like a, like, there were like Nazis and I was like, this is not like pick one, pick one baby. Like, it's just I'm really like, I'm disturbed and I don't know how to make it stop. It genuinely feels and I'm just going to gas here. It genuinely feels like you're like just trying to cram everything in no one. No, it's all because there's death and violence in all of these dreams as well. It literally, it literally sounds like anxiety dream, wet dream. Like. Oh, but I can't. These are not like, I like sexual to me, like I'm not like, I like that dream. Like, there's nothing, there was nothing okay about what was happening. Were you like stressed in the fitting room that you were like, we didn't get any of that? Yeah. I did not want to go to it. This was like exposure therapy. Like, this was not something I wanted to be doing. Oh. Yeah. I was going to be watched. I didn't have to score it. What? Have you watched Spike Kid recently? Nope. I don't know what he was doing there. (laughs) Not all. That's funny. I mean, then I'm like in there here in gunshots too and I'm, so I go like, why like I'm having like the most like disturbed dreams like violent like all of the stuff and it says that I have too much anxiety going on in real life that like my subconscious is trying to process but like I feel like it's not the anxiety that I'm experiencing in real life isn't warranting this type of subconscious response. it doesn't warrant it. It feels really severe. And there's no new medication I'm taking. I don't know, this has been for like a week and a half. - All Antonio? - No, all different. That's like the one I feel comfortable sharing. Like the others are like pretty much like so much worse. (laughing) - Okay. Going like a long walk before bed. - I should do like milk. I should have like warm milk and cookies and like read a children's book. - Okay. - My dream journal is popping off. I'll say that. - I bet. Are you filling it out regularly? I can't, I have not had to need dreams as of late. But my like Sunday to Monday, my Sunday night to Monday dreams are always like, all completely like your planes going down. I'll have dreams that I have already woken up and I've started my day and then when I wake up, I'm like, oh my God crap, like I'm behind. - Do you still have the Sunday, the Sunday scaries? - No, not like Sunday scaries, but like, oh my gosh, like if it always feels weird going into Monday and like not having done any productive activities for like like when my college friends are here, I was like, kind of just like took off Friday. - Mm-hmm. - Like in my calendar, just kind of like it was like, reunion this weekend. And so Sunday, like not having had contact just like going to bed and Monday, I know that I'm gonna get like emails and follow-ups and stuff, I was just like, oh crap. But that's okay, that's kind of just like what a weekend is. - I always had the Saturday scaries growing up because Sunday was Hebrew school, which I hated. And I liked school, so I didn't, I was fine to go to wake up on Monday, I did not feel okay waking up on Sunday. - 'Cause of Hebrew school. - Yeah, I had to go to church every Sunday morning. So I was, there'd be some, I remember there was one time, like the hardest day of my life growing up, which is an awesome complaint, was that we stayed up all night because, and this is really, really insane to say, I'm gonna say it because like, - I want you to say it. - I don't want you to say it. - There was like a prank that was like going around. And this is like when I, I've already told everyone, we were kind of like, punks for a little bit in like junior high, you know? Like we would pull print, like we'd toilet paper people's houses and we'd like, I don't know, but someone pooped in a golf hole. - That's disgusting. - Yeah. They definitely, like-- - And you weren't on it? - Yeah, it was like a group of us. I actually remember whose name it was, but I'm not gonna say anything. - I was gonna say, do you know the shitter? - Yeah, I know the-- - Are you still in touch? - No, I'm not, but like, this is like a grown man, and I'm not gonna like out him for pooping in the golf hole, posthumously by 15 years. You know, like it's just like no real-- - Batchy delimitations right now. - Yeah, that it is true, but like, I guess the prank was that like this, like a golfer, an innocent, a genuinely innocent golfer, was going to hit a ball in the hole. - Well, I know what the prank is, yeah. - Go pick up his ball, and it was just be covered in poo. - I'm wondering like if I was on a date with someone, and they, and I was like, what's the worst thing you've ever done? It's like the drama, "Starring Zendaya" and Robert Pattinson? - I haven't seen it yet. - Oh, okay, well, there's basically just like the conversation they have is what's the worst thing you've ever done, and they all go around and answer. And if they told me that, that they pooped in an unsuspecting victim's golf hole, I think that's that, and it wasn't even nice meeting you, and that's it, I'll never see you again. - Yeah, that's pretty bad. - To me. - I'm aligned. I do know like from someone else's high school, who's high school was this? I think it was someone else's high school in Texas. Oh, I know who's high school was. There was like a guy in this girl that would come to like, all the parties, and there was like nothing, it was not like a bullying there, even though it totally was, but like, they would always prank this same girl that would like come to parties, and so I'm gonna go out and poop on her windshield of her car. - That breaks my heart. - I know. And it was just like, it stopped actually being funny to everyone, and like the dude kept like, "Look, I did it again." And people were like, "Why are you still?" Like we have moved on, and you're still at the restaurant, and the restaurant being her windshield. - I actually like, never mind. I don't want to, like I can't, this is like a little bit grossing me out. - Oh my gosh. - No, I don't like like pooping on things that aren't inside of a toilet. - Okay. - Like, that's actually not something I like. - Should we cut this out? - No! I'm just saying like, that's why I'm getting grossed out. I'm fine to discuss pooping into toilets. - Well, yeah. I know, I told my-- - Or something. - I told my-- - Or something trouble. - I told my roommate this weekend that I used to sneak his pair of pants that I really, really liked of his out of the house and wear them to work, 'cause I had my internship that I would have to go to, and I didn't have like a good pair of these pants that like fit so well. And I left work early, 'cause I had a stomach ache, and I got all the way home from work, and then felt safe, and then had to buy me a new pair of pants. - Your blue suit connected? - Yeah, it was definitely like that situation, like you feel safe, and then it was just like, you shouldn't have. - Yeah. - Oh, you really shouldn't have. - Um, yeah, bottom of a new pair of pants, but he was like always confused why I got him the new pants. And I was just like, you let me wear yours all the time. - What did he think happened to the original? - I came back. - Did you get them like-- - Yeah. - Dry clean? - Yeah. - Yeah. - There's a lot of money for a sophomore in college. - Yeah. - New pair of pants and dry cleaning? - Yeah. - Okay, we can move forward. - Now that we've gotten that out of the way. - That was the right thing to do. That was the right thing to do. - Move forward. - No, what? Buy him a new pair of pants. - Yeah. And now that we've done that, we didn't talk last week about the wedding that happened in New York. And I think that-- - We didn't. - I know, I feel like that was just like, due diligence we should have. - Yeah, I agree. - I was out of town, so I didn't see it happen. And I'm thankful I was out of town 'cause I think that was the day that there was like the heat advisory in New York. And like, all the elevators went down and then you couldn't get uptown or downtown, I guess, 'cause of the MSG shutoffs. But I don't know anything about it. So that's all I mean-- - I mean either, but I am itching to see photos. - I don't know if we-- will we? - We will. - You think if they haven't released anything, you think they're still gonna release photos of Taylor Swift's wedding? - I do. - It's been-- - I think we should post something. - It's been like 10 days. - No, I think we'll see something. I really do. - I don't know how they could make that look. Like not in Madison Square Garden. I have heard that it, you would not in one million years know you were in Madison Square Garden. - How do you know? Who'd you hear that from? - Just like random people who know people, who know people, who know people. - What? - Multiple people have said that. Like you would just never know that you're in Madison Square Garden. I know someone who knows someone who were like ushers or something. - Oh. - That being said, everyone was like, it wasn't my taste. But you wouldn't have known you were in Madison Square Garden. That's for sure. Regardless of if you liked the vibe or not, which I don't, I mean, I'm truly so happy for her. Like you will never find me having anything negative to say about like a hopeless romantic, like getting their happy ending. Like I really, I'm so happy for her. - I agree. I bet it was so fun. - I also, just like seeing Benson Boone, which makes sense. I just forget that like, Benson Boone is like that level now. And I have a Benson Boone who's like a TikToker with us. - He was? - He was like American Idol, but like he was like a TikTok person. Like he was very much like, I think I'm pretty sure. - He was on American Idol? - I think he tried out, yeah. - How far did he get? - Like I think he was like a Justin Bieber someone discovered him. - Top 24, not too shabby. - Is it? - The top 24? He withdrew voluntarily. Despite Katy Perry predicting he could win the entire thing. He decided to leave so he could focus on his original music and career path. Can I be honest? I think that's a great move. American Idol's not getting anyone anywhere nowadays. - Sad. - Yeah. But Ben to me was there. I don't know anyone else who went. - I know that- - Everyone went. - I know. - Except for Margot Quali. - Yeah. - Because her and Jock are splitting. - Rip and Peace. - Which as I take six months to read Lena Dunham's memoir, good for her. - I know, that's also in my boxes after I purchased it. I have a wedding when I don't have a suit for it. And I wanna say very quickly, it is definitely hard for girls to find something to wear for sure. But I would love to just put on a dress, you know? Wearing it 'cause I'm sweating so much. Thinking about me wearing a three-piece suit in this 92 degree heat is making me so, so, so, so scared. - You could do a guilt. - I could do a guilt. - Do you have any Scottish roots? - Probably. Which white is they come? - So yeah. - I have a guilt. I have a guilt in my closet. Should I do a guilt? - Air flow. - What? - Do a guilt for some air flow. - Trying to think, do you wear underwear under a guilt? - Yes, Connor. - That's something that like you could have answered that on your own. If you thought about it for one second. Do you wear underwear with a guilt? Whether you wear underwear under a guilt is entirely a matter of personal preference. - Is it guilt like a score? Are there shorts under there? - No, it touches your knees. I'll just keep my legs cold. - So you would be fully just like. - Be and see out. - That's not okay. That's like genuinely. - Who, why, are you, why, are you shouldn't be looking? Don't look at my skirt. - Wait, I guess I'm thinking of like plaid mini skirts. - I'm not gonna wear mini skirts with a wedding. - What? - How long are kits? - Play your knees. - Not below your knees, are they? - Connor, but you're gonna be spinning around at that wedding. You're the one who's talking about how much you love to, look at that guy's butt. - Okay. - Where? - Underwear under your guilt. - I'm not gonna wear a guilt. - If you make the conscious decision, not to wear underwear under your guilt and you flash someone, that you are a flasher. Like that's an intentional flash. Whether you meant to flash someone in that moment, you making the conscious decision to not wear underwear, I would say makes you in a certified flasher just as much as someone with a coat that would open it on the street. I would, I honestly believe that. - That guy's walking over like a Marilyn Monroe style great, like that's not gonna happen to me. - You're gonna, there's gonna be a wind, you're gonna spin on the dance floor. - Why are you gonna? - All these photos of like killed up skirts. - And is he, what did you Google? - Do you wear underwear? - I thought you just Google like killed. - Yeah, no, I, I'm not gonna wear a guilt anyways, so I'm not too worried about it. - That will be fun. - What's going on? - Sorry, put my hip. And I like stuff to do, like I gotta get back. Have you seen the Odyssey, the Odyssey things? - What? - The press tour for Odyssey. - I haven't really watched any of it except for like Anne Hathaway being a fereal. - Who? - Anne Hathaway? - Oh, yeah, she's pregnant. - Yeah. - What is she wearing on her head? - It looks like a mini-ifle tower. - Oh, wow. This is like the most famous people ever, you know? - I'm actually like excited to see this, where like I don't think that there's any other world in which I'd be excited to see the Odyssey if it weren't just like this cast who I consider family. - No, I do, I feel the same way. - Did you hear Rob was the only one to ask to read the script when he was asked to be in it? - Really? - Yeah. - No, I didn't hear that. - Oh, I heard it. - That's very cool of him. - He's a cool. I can speak from personal experience. He's a cool guy. - Oh, wow, yeah, you do. - Yeah, he's like a good guy. - Yeah, this is something I really wanna see is someone who didn't take American history so much, but I did take Greek mythology in high school. We focused more on the Greek gods than the United States and its history, which attest them into public school. But also, I really, really like perked up when it came to Greek mythology. And that's, this is like Homer's the Odyssey, right? - Yeah. - Okay, so this movie and then Young Washington, I'm like over the moon. This is my-- - What young Washington? - It's like, like what would you think Young Washington might be? - Just like a story about like Washington as a general, probably. - Yeah. - They made him, they're making a movie. - Who's fun watching? - They made him. - They made him. - I don't know him. - They made him like really, really young. - Ben Kingsley, he was in Shutter Island. - Yeah. I don't know any of these people, actually. - Mary Louise Parker, I love. - Yeah, I wanna see this really bad. - Wait, have you watched the new Larry David show at all? - Yeah. - How is it? I hear it's just curb. - What? - I hear it's just curb, again. - It is, but it's also like, they're going through like the writing of the declaration of independence and the ratifications. And like all, there's a bunch of different players like Ben Franklin's, it's funny. - Okay, I need to walk. - And then they kind of just like, they personify like Thomas Jefferson as Larry David. Like, he makes the original declaration of independence, which is like, what is it? What did they call that thing? - Mm-hmm, Bill of Rights. Nope. - No, it's like the thing, it was like the rat. - Oh, I know, I know. Do not say it 'cause I know. - I know it too. Articles of Confederation. - I was about to get there. I was going through the Hamilton set list. - Oh, sorry. That's just something I pulled from the back, man. But it's the Articles of Confederation. And then they like ratified it all together, but they just put like, like in the first episode, they just have like Larry being like, yeah, and like boys shouldn't fan themselves. She's like, I don't want to see my son doing this. That one was, everyone was like, yeah, no. Me too. And he's like, people shouldn't take deep breaths outside. People shouldn't share an umbrella. And maybe he put that in there. That's kind of funny. - Okay. - It's like my kind of humor. - Yeah. I looked it up to watch and then I just started watching curb. It's sad. - I started watching and I did get on my phone, but there's a forward biobama, which I thought was kind of-- - Yeah, I saw that on TikTok. - Yeah. Okay. - Okay. - I gotta go pee. - Me too. - I just have to say. - All right, well I'll see you in the bonus then. - Okay, I'm gonna flip on the AC for just a minute. - Okay, that's fine. - If that's okay. All right, and we'll see you guys next word. - XO. - Do you have any like housekeeping? Anything? - I think next week will not be us. It will be you and Brittany, X Mickey. - Oh, next week? - I think so, 'cause we'll be on our special adventure together. - We'll be studying around, yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Okay, all right. We'll see you guys there. - Okay. - Bye. (crowd cheering)
