The episode blends emotional storytelling with lifestyle marketing, centered around the long-standing legacy of Nordstrom and the popular show *Abbott Elementary*. It highlights the personal, intimate moments that define everyday life—like a child's first shoes or a shared soup at a café—emphasizing how these small acts build lasting connections. The narrative shifts to the show’s dance competition, where dancers share their struggles, growth, and emotional journeys, revealing vulnerability and resilience. One dancer’s heartfelt performance and songwriting process showcase authenticity and deep emotional investment. The episode also features several sponsor spots for brands like Sonic, Nutra Full, Skims, and Squarespace, each tied to relatable daily needs—such as affordable meals, hair health, comfortable loungewear, and online presence. Personal anecdotes about fashion, health, and friendship further humanize the content, while moments of humor and self-awareness—like a dancer’s struggle with a tight costume or a joke about blocked social media accounts—add levity and connection. Ultimately, the episode balances entertainment with emotional resonance, celebrating both the enduring spirit of retail traditions and the raw, heartfelt experiences of performers and fans.

Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
Sweet boy is sick today.
Hi, guys.
I'm just like, I'm like, like my energy.
You just got really low thinking about like you not feeling well and dancing and it's
just like making me upset and it's just like, I think just about to start crying.
I'm serious because it's like a testament to how hard you've been working.
I'm serious and you're run down and it's making me upset.
I don't want to touch it.
Yeah, I was going to hold your hand.
It's just making me upset, especially considering your hard work is not going as appreciated
as I would prefer.
I'm serious.
Love you.
Love you.
It's making me upset.
I don't like that you're not feeling well, my sweet boy.
I feel like it only makes sense to get sick during this.
I don't know how no one else is sick.
What happens if you like are too sick to dance?
Is that just not an option?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Because like I know like if like you can like push through sickness a lot better than I
can.
So like if I like if my throat hurt, like I would not be able to dance.
So I wonder what would happen.
I don't know.
I think practice is worse than the dance.
You can go out and dance, of course.
No, like hours of practice.
It's just like it's not going to work for me.
I know.
Who knows?
I hope it's not strep.
It feels a lot like.
Can I see your throat?
Show me your throat.
What was that Harry Styles, Sarah Lee, SNL skit?
Send me a picture of your open throat or something like that.
What?
Show me a picture.
Show me your throat.
Do you want to see it?
Yeah.
Because you can see.
You can tell.
I don't have strep if you if you have if you if you have that that specific.
No, you don't have strep.
It's just red.
OK, good.
You don't have that like cute little white stuff.
Ew, it's white when you get strep?
When you get strep?
Yeah, it's like disgusting.
What?
Do you want to see a picture of a strep throat?
I don't know.
It's really gross.
Because I haven't eaten.
I don't know if I want to see the strep throat.
It's just like not pussy, but like I don't know what that is.
Like tonsil stones?
No, not tonsils.
It's like tonsil stones.
And it's white?
Your throat is white?
Yeah, I'm going to show you on my phone.
Oh, that's disgusting.
Yeah, it's like.
OK.
Yeah, it's like pretty damn gross.
It looks like the Hailey Bieber smoothie from marijuana.
Yeah, it's like really gross.
OK.
Oh, that's that's yucky.
Yeah, it's yucky.
OK, well, thank God.
I think you just have a sore throat and I think something's going around.
Something is going around.
Yeah.
Everybody's sick.
But.
You're so strong.
It will be so great.
You're our leading man and we'll push through.
I'm it's kind of, you know, when you're sick and you're like, I'm going to feel so good
when I feel good.
Yeah, that's what I'm looking forward to.
That's look forward to the other side.
Yeah.
But we say that every time.
Like, we'll be so excited.
Like, if we have a stuff nose, it's like, wow.
Remind me to to check my privilege next time.
I'm going to try.
Because, you know, every time we get a stuff nose, it's like the next time I'm able to
breathe, like I'll never take that for granted.
And like we always do.
Mine was like swallowing.
Izzy, well, do you mind making a note in next week's talk to check our privilege?
Like at the very top.
Be like.
Be like nostril check and swallow check.
And I don't like it would be rude for me to check mine right now because like it would
be boasting because you don't feel well, but like checking my privilege.
Wow.
That's awesome.
Now I'm happy.
I'm sorry.
Happy.
How are you feeling after last night's dance?
Good.
I need to see off my phone, but good.
I'm just like, obviously, like I thought you did amazing.
And like, here's the thing.
Like, I know that I have no dance experience and like can't really look at a dance or a
technical lens.
And like, I'm obviously very biased in your favor, but I'm also right through three things
can be true.
And like the judges are judging everybody based off of their ability to take their feedback
and put it into action.
And you do that every single week.
And I, for whatever reason, I'm not going to be able to do that.
And they're not acknowledging that.
And that's what's bothering me.
Like you're improving and you're taking their feedback to heart.
Like you went full eating man last night and they're just like not giving you the same
flowers that they're giving everybody else.
And like you're being super mature about it.
I'm not.
I, I hear you.
I hear you.
I was kind of bummed last night that it wasn't like more of like a, I kept being like.
Eh.
Eh.
Eh.
Eh.
Eh.
And then remember what you guys told me last night?
Yeah.
I was like, I did.
I did exactly what you said.
So it's just like annoying and like you're doing so well and it's just like nothing.
Like obviously it was so fun to be there last night and it is like just like a, it's all,
it's fun, but it just gets to a point where it's like.
Did you have fun?
Of course I had fun, but it's like, can, I wish, I almost wish the judges would have a
little bit more fun when you're up there, you know?
It is.
Loosen up for, loosen up my buttons.
Loosen up my buttons, babe.
I, yeah, I, so, and this is the only thing I'll say about the, like everyone's going
to be like, don't be hard on yourself.
It was so loud in the room, I could not hear Mariah.
Because everyone was cheering.
After I did the hump, the ground, I could not hear Mariah and I was supposed to get
up and do the, the one technical part of the dance that I was actually like struggling
with while I was struggling with the whole thing.
Is the part that they were like, you didn't get that.
And I was like, oh, I know I couldn't hear Mariah's beat.
You should have said, let me stop you right there.
Couldn't hear over the cheering.
Let me stop you right there, Carrie Ann.
It's actually because everyone was cheering so loud.
I had lost my ability to process auditorily.
I couldn't hear the beat.
I could, I could not hear the beat.
The beat.
And you know, I like the beat.
So I'm just like, you know, I've never.
Followed sports.
I've never felt like this sort of passion.
So like, it's, it's a new feeling for me to like care so much about like my team.
Yes.
I like when my team is wrong.
Like I was, I've been pissed.
Yeah.
So when I got up and got my scores and I'm kind of like, oh, a six, that's a bummer.
And then the first thing that I see on camera, Brooke.
No, I did that when you got the seven.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's because it's like, okay, six, seven.
It was like, it was like a full like Brittany moment where she's like, it was like, well,
there's a reason they didn't show me until the seven because I wouldn't clap with the
six.
I'm sorry.
Like, I'm not fucking around.
I'm not playing good.
No, I right now.
Like, and then when Bruno gave you a seven, I was like, okay.
And then my man, my man, my man, my man, my man.
It's just like, and also like, I'm not, I've everyone like did really well last night, but
like Tyler.
Got three sevens.
Right.
That like, you should be getting three sevens.
He did.
Well, you did better.
Sorry.
Like, that's not putting him down.
Like you did.
It's just like annoying.
So anyway, well, thank you.
And Sierra should not have gone home.
So it's a solve.
Didn't the judges used to have a save?
They used to have a save.
I think they would have used it last week, though.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Taylor.
So it doesn't make sense.
The elimination part of the competition show does is it makes no sense.
Does not make sense.
You get to that part.
It's such a rude awakening every week.
So I'm like, oh, I forgot we're competing against each other.
No, I know.
Truly.
I look at everybody and I'm like, who could possibly go home?
It's it.
Well, it like it like makes a hole, you know, like it makes a TV show.
Yeah.
Anyways, I had a lot of fun.
Yeah.
That was my favorite.
That's a dance we've done.
That was unrelated to my strap.
Like I'm getting like I was freaking out last night because everyone's performance was like
super emotional.
You know?
Yeah.
And then I was like getting nervous.
I was like, OK, well, my friend's humping the ground.
No, I was feeling that as well.
And I knew you were going to be feeling that as well.
So it's like, let's not give him the time or you know what?
Let's not give me the time.
either to start.
To get that level, to work that level of stress and anxiety.
I'm going, hmm, okay.
Yeah.
Okay, everyone's tearing up.
Everyone's tearing up more.
Everyone seemed to have an uphill battle this week.
Everyone's doing an emotional arc this week and, you know.
Yeah, I mean, I was also having an arc this week.
Something you don't see in the package that rolls before my thing is that I didn't have the dance until a day before the show.
I told Riley right when we started learning, I go, oh my God, well, it was so nice to get to know you.
I will be heading home.
I could not get this dance.
It was not, rumba is the hardest dance.
Dylan texted me and was like, I don't, are you sure you want to do that?
And I was like, baby, it's done.
I don't, Riley choreographs everything, you know.
So I was like, I can't do it.
And then this was like the week where Riley kind of cracked the whip and was like, you have to learn it.
And this was also the week when I was like, oh, if I don't learn it, like I just do whatever I know.
Like the day of the dance, I guess.
Well, you did it.
You did it.
I thought you did amazing.
You took all of the judges feedback and internalized it and put it onto the dance floor.
And glad that Bruno saw that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I also want to say.
I love Bruno.
I love Bruno too.
He's really like that is actually my favorite.
Part of being in the ballroom is getting to watch him.
Such a spirited individual.
He's a spirited individual.
It is funny how they run them out towards the end.
They like run them out.
Yeah.
Get over to the judges.
Yeah.
Checks out.
So I had Spanx on yesterday and I walk out in my Spanx because I had a low cut shirt.
Mm-hmm.
And then I was like, hang on.
All of the guys are naked.
Yeah.
Everyone doing the rumba is shirt almost completely off.
There's one button.
I can't go out there with my Spanx on.
We got to cut this into a lower V.
It was a Spanx tank top.
Wasn't this last week too that you cut the lower V in the Spanx?
That was for sweat.
The lower V this week was for nipples.
Uh-huh.
Because my nipples were genuinely.
Like becoming a distraction for the screen.
Like when we did the camera blocking, the shadowing, um, under my nipple was the size
of a Toyota Corolla and it was distra- it literally looked like Twin Peaks.
And so we were like, we got to do something.
So, and then when I walk out and I see Harry Shum and I see Ezra just looking as they do.
Ezra looks like a Disney prince.
Just my beautiful boy.
Yeah.
Um, I go, we have to unfortunately like do something.
And so they start to cut my V and I'm like, no, I step away.
I ripped the Spanx off.
I ripped them off.
Get nipple pasties.
You'd be shocked at how much of a backward step that nipple pasties are for me.
What do you mean?
I have a unique body.
There's no way else to say it.
But what would the nipple pasties.
Draw somehow more attention to my breasts.
No, not the cakes ones.
Cakes?
Yeah.
I'll order you cakes.
I blocked someone.
I blocked, I blocked someone this morning that said you need cakes.
I thought they were talking about my butt.
I got to unblock the young woman.
Oh yeah.
Okay.
Cakes, body, nipple covers.
Oh, I'll explore these.
They just like, they, they go, they, they go wider.
They go wider.
Now that looks like something that you put on.
I didn't know the pairs, the pair.
They just explore different shapes.
So you can try a few different options.
Like one is really big.
Like, so it'll like take the whole cover the whole breast.
It depends what you're looking for.
So we could do a few, try a few.
I would be open to trying those and seeing how they work.
Let's try.
Oh, they look good on that young woman.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, I will.
Let's try some cakes.
I wouldn't mind.
Wow.
Okay.
Some cakes.
Um,
yeah, so I ripped the Spanx off.
Um,
I feel like I had more to say about that,
but I, I'm having trouble remembering last night.
Let me check my notes.
Lynn,
I have a funny story to tell you.
Is it unrelated to the Spanx?
Yes.
Closing that chapter?
We can close the Spanx chapter.
Okay.
Um,
I mean, the only thing,
the wardrobe I was having trouble with last night
because I wasn't,
I wasn't really,
um,
doing the like body roll on the ground in my full costume.
So it ripped during the show and I was really scared.
It was my pants.
It ripped.
Um,
I felt the rip.
I heard the rip.
I couldn't hear Mariah.
I could hear the rip and I couldn't tell if it was my shirt or my pants on my ass.
And the reason I was scared about it being my ass.
I'm not,
anyone can see my ass if you want to just ask.
Just ask.
Last night,
the underwear I received for my costume was one size too small.
So it had gone into my body.
You've been wearing underwear during performance night.
That's nice.
Yeah.
Have to.
Um,
and I was so I'm doing the body roll and I go,
if my tuckus is out and I'm wearing genuinely a thong,
like we have taken the dance too far.
We crossed the threshold of sexy.
No.
And I was just thinking like,
is Bruno seeing my cheeks?
Right.
Like my ass was eating this underwear.
Oh,
I wish I had seen.
What was my shirt?
Do you,
are you allowed to say what you're doing next week?
We're doing the Samba.
Are you allowed to say what song?
The song to hips don't lie by Shakira.
Is that sexy?
Surely the only thing,
the thing that I like about the Samba is what I'm learning.
So when they talked about last night,
the Rumba,
I'm going to show you,
I'm going to turn on.
Yeah.
Let me know if you need another body.
This is my understanding.
What?
I said,
let me know if you need another body.
I'm being serious.
I'm double checking.
I'm just going to show you the hips.
Cool.

Guys,
we want to take a break to thank a sponsor of today's episode.
Skims.
I've officially reached a point where I care just as much about what I'm wearing
around my house as I do about what I'm wearing out of it.
I used to sleep in whatever random oversized t-shirt was close to me,
but having an actual matching pajama set makes me feel so much more put
together.
Skims has completely converted me.
Their sleep and lounge pieces are so soft and comfortable,
but they still feel cute,
which is exactly what I want.
Hey,
I also love having a matching set because it makes getting ready for bed feel
a little bit more intentional.
all and then in the morning i can make coffee
hang around the house, or get some stuff done without immediately feeling like I needed a
change. It's basically the comfort of sleeping in an old t-shirt, but you look significantly
more put together. Shop my favorite loungewear and pajamas at skims.com. After you place your
order, be sure to let them know we sent you. Select podcast in the survey and be sure to
select our show in the drop down menu that follows. Um, the comments I got last night
was that I, you know, Ezra did a rumba and I'll just show you. I know I'm not comparing myself
to Ezra by any means. I'd like, the guy blows my mind. Let's not do the same dance as Ezra in the
same week. Would love that. Would love not. How do we, how do we find that? The same costume.
Literally, genuinely, like, this is how I felt when, when Ezra walked out. Same costume. Ezra,
um, Val. Same costume. Pasha. I mean, it's the same. The dances get the same, similar costume.
Slicked back hair. Deep button. It felt like, I'm Janet. And I'm rank. You need to make that
TikTok. And I'm Doonies. And I'm rank. It literally, when he walked out, I was like,
you're fucking kidding. That's really good. Why didn't you make that? I, I thought about it when
I got home and I was like, what? Like, why would you do this? It's the same reason I don't
stand next to Tyler Cameron in photos, you know? Like, give me a break. That's, I need a little
Apple box to stand on. That's good. It's just like, okay. So the Samba, the Samba, well, the
Rumba, I'll show you first. So this is, I'm, I'm gonna, can I talk outside the mic? Okay. I'll go,
I guess here. So ideally in the Rumba, I would have gone. Bring it around town. Yeah, but not
bend my knees. So it's here.
Here, here. And I had my, I was supposed to have my hand here and go, ooh, ooh. See, I bend my knee.
Is your fly open? Wide. Wide. Yes. Appreciate it.
I'm not wearing, like my penis is, could you see it? Okay. No, you couldn't.
I was like, oh, there's a breeze in here today. Okay. So.
You're amazing. I think you're an amazing person.
You're like, hello.
Well, I didn't want to, like, I was worried it wasn't open and I was just going to like
draw attention. No, it's impossible not to. Yeah. Okay. So Rumba would be here with the hips and
Ezra, you saw Ezra. It was like one of these were like, and they said I was too safe with,
with my arm here. Ezra did the, the, the Rumba arm, which is good to do. The Samba. So see this,
this range of motion, the Samba, you can bend your knees. That's nice. Oh, you're more,
you're, you own that movement. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I love that. Yeah. You're good at that.
I can tell. So that's good. That will be, that will be fun. And my, my costume actually is very
fun. So is the Samba like slower?
More sensual? Are we back to sensual? I don't know. That I don't know.
Cool. That I don't know. Um, but anyways, that was fun. I had a good time last night.
Yeah. Me too. I had a great time. I had a great time. Yeah. Of course. It's just,
you know, when you get really into it, it's like, it's impossible not to.
A hundred percent. Be passionate. Yeah. I, again, I'm just saying one more time. I cannot believe
the feedback is not bothering me at all. No, you're being so mature. It's, it's, it's even like
after, like when I saw you after the show briefly, just like not a care in the world, I was like
ready to march the, the stand, the judges. Truly. It's because Guillermo was next to me and I just
like calms me down so much. I mean, I love the guy really. He's, he's a genuinely good person.
You know, when parents are like, you should not die before your children. Yeah. That's like, I,
I need to go home before.
Before gamma. I have, I have something horrible to tell you. I just like don't imagine a world
where he, I'm not. Maybe he'll come visit. I'm here and he's not in it. Maybe he'll come visit,
but like, I do think he could have like another week. One hundred percent. Or two more weeks.
And you have to, we have to talk about Whitney choreographing like such creative. Yeah.
Choreography for, for him to really.
Shine. It's incredible. Like her brand to, it's performance art. Is it not? That was,
it's just like such a fun watch and you know, there's going to be like this thing. It's like,
that's Whitney's brand. Can I say something? And she's pregnant. It's just like an incredible
date. She has those belly limitations. Can I say something? Yeah.
Imagine like getting up on a stage on national TV and giving it your all and then having,
having one of the judges earnestly say, what was that?
That's what, that's actually what Carrie Ann had said to Guillermo.
Oh, I was already pulled for my dance when that was taking part, taking place.
That was, it was the, I think I got a few DMs. It was like, I like, maybe I'm just like being
dramatic, but I think I heard you start the booze. Pretty sure I did.
That's a crazy thing to say. I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. It's, it was reminiscent of such a shame.
Anyway, sorry. I feel bad, but I don't.
This is what, this is what the show's about though. They, they create fans of the show and
you watching the show and enjoying that piece of it, that performance, that's half it. And the
other half is, is them getting technical with the dances.
Anyway, I want to show you my spray tan. Okay. So Ezra got me to get a spray tan the other night.
I had left. Where'd you go? Sugar to bronze. We got it in the studio. There's an in-house.
There's an in-house. Yep. I did full body. Ezra randomly only did the top half. He's,
oh, this is like crazy. He's hairy. Um, I'm not. So like I had to do my whole body. I wonder if
it's still,
my pants are. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I, I want to do, I want to get one. That looks really good.
Your legs. Look at that muscle. Oh my God. They're like, there's like two coming down.
Look at that. No, that's like, that's muscle Connor. That wasn't there before. Yeah.
Your pants just got stuck. Good job. Thanks. I also, just the last thing I'll say about the
dance. This is like a good cutoff to watching like Amber do that insane move and then being
like, okay, well like, what was I, what's a young man like me to do except hump the floor
in this moment. But like also, and another thing that like is not being taken into account when
your reviews are scored, Amber has experienced like moving her body in
that, in that sort of way. They're curving this. They are curving. They're, they're,
they're totally curving. But like, I just really feel like it's just not acknowledged that you have
no, no experience. If they kept her, if they harped on that, I'd get my feelings hurt.
You have no experience. Okay. Well I've been to weddings. I don't know. I'm just like, I'm pretty,
I was pretty fired up after last night, as you can tell. So I'm happy for another week and it will
be fun and you'll be there and you'll be sitting next to our special guests that will be in the
audience next week. So fun. And Izzy and my parents. Fab. It'll be so fun. It's going to
be a fun week. I do wonder, I'll be all of a good attitude. You always do. I always do. Oh,
oh, sorry. I've been coughing so much. The other thing,
as I hump the floor, I look up, who do I see? Who? Abby Lee Miller. Oh yeah, Abby Lee Miller
was sitting with us. She asked me for a picture after the show. Do you have it? It's on her phone.
Abby Lee, if you're listening, can you blast that out? She looks gorgeous. Yeah. She was,
I never like saw dance moms or anything like that. I imagine it's like a little bit.
Maybe nerve wracking for the dancers to have someone of that.
Is she like, I don't even know the lore. Like, cause the, from like my understanding was that
like, she was like mean, right? Yeah. Okay. But like, we love her. Izzy just said, okay.
So I don't think it's interesting. So it's kind of like a non-dancer that just watches TV.
Like we found it entertaining. It's kind of like an icon situation, even though it's like,
like Maddie Zeebler, like has a vendetta.
like a valid vendetta against abbey lee i like yearn for the day when i can like i mean me
imagining when this is over like hanging out with the judges like they're not gonna talk to me but
like bruno and you know what derrick like i fuck with depending yeah i like them all i think it's
a good balance that we have out there i mean i guess like every judging panel needs a simon
cowell but also like simon was like very hateful simon should be in prison like i'm serious simon
was really not okay uh no that well simon had to talk about internally simon was battling something
did we talk about this we i think full blown like every every time he comes up i'm like
yeah simon's a villain no i know everyone is like in response to like hating on carrie
and everyone's like well would you have said this about time and cowell yes they absolutely
hate him anyway yeah enough of that enough thank you guys for voting please vote next week
i would voting matters as you can see voting definitely matters
it's so fun to be up there at the end of every show at the bottom three you weren't in the bottom
three last night almost i'm just ready every week to be like up there at the bottom three i'm just
like all right that weight in between and the the one going home is i'm just like i'm just like i'm
going home is oh it's like it has to be longer in the ballroom than it is on tv
it's like two two full minutes it's definitely like in the ball at least 40 seconds yeah
anyways i have your birthday present finally yeah but i think i'm gonna have to leave the room
why because you know how like after you dance you're like why did i do that yeah i'm feeling
that way about what i've done really yeah okay whatever
makes you comfortable i don't know i wrote you a song i'm did you sing it no you didn't
try try to sing i'm gonna try as he says i should try to say um i'm like i i've been having
nightmares about this connor i can't wrote me a song i wrote you a song
they ever is he made a lyric video or the editors made a lyric video
i went into the studio
no you didn't i did i'm feeling like sick i'm like feeling actually sick if i was being weird
for the first 30 minutes of the podcast it's because i'm like very nauseous i had you what
i think you're being very sweet and nice i had a nightmare a few weeks ago that you walked out
when when we played this because you're like i don't think this is funny
so it's a funny song no well the first verse is like i'm like ribbing at you a little bit
mm-hmm
and then it gets really earnest okay but like sweet you didn't make it past the first verse
in my dream and the podcast ended brooke i can't believe this i don't know what to do you have a
second book to write what are you doing writing a song not not writing the book i don't know what
to do with i don't think i can be in here well just let's just play it and then if you feel the
need to get up this is horrible
it's a country song
stop
oh it's called didn't have to go far it's your it's gonna be changed to your purse there's a star
in your purse can't look
oh my god
just a boy that never had a partner before
tried some doubles tennis but needed so much more oh that was stupid
my god
started every day wishing you were six feet tall that's when you walked out my dream
kept your head up high
despite it all how do you have so much in every single line in your shorts wired headphones you
took a pill
wheels up headed west
tattooed with the thrill
that was poetic
you made your way down the sunset strip
you caught my eye the way you move your hips
chasing stars just 25 beers from every bar and i knew
you were gonna go far i agree auto-tuned to the gods
you always said that you always said that you always said that you always said that
your tears are tied in my eyes
sat our large asses in the kelly clarkson's
asking izzy questions while you itch your feet
that's my favorite part
sorry we're so stupid we just wanna know
yes literally yes
holy freaking airball where does the time go
fast
oh brooke this is long
it's a long song
oh my gosh
you blew me away more than tristan's two

- Aw, that was so good.
- Thanks, thanks.
Happy birthday.
Sorry it's so late.
- Thank you.
- That literally, to me-
- That was like really tough to sit through.
- That felt like, to me, I mean, that just made me like,
that just made me like life at a glance for a second.
Ooh, that was freaky.
It was, it literally felt like-
- Like, where does the time go?
- Like, when we go back.
- Yeah.
- Like, that was, I don't,
that was genuinely a why your tooth brown type of thing.
Every single line held weight.
- Yeah.
- There was no filler.
- Thank you.
I had fun with the songwriting process.
- That was fabulous.
- Thanks, Connor.
- It was so good.
- Thanks.
- And I heard that no you hit at the end.
- And I knew you were gonna go far.
- Yeah.
- My favorite part is-
- I need to really-
- Sorry, we're so stupid.
We just wanna know.
- Please look at the song that I was listening to
when I pulled up.
- You're gonna go far.
That was the inspiration by Noah Kahn.
That's really scary.
- This is, and I was at three minutes, 33 seconds.
- That's really bizarre.
- As I pulled up.
- Well, I was like, is this plagiarism?
- You're not Stella Lefty.
- It's inspiration.
- You're safe.
- No, we're safe.
- Wow.
Brooke, that was so amazing, truly.
- Thanks, Connor.
- That's like instant classic.
That's going platinum in my house.
- That's sweet.
We'll be on Spotify.
- Will it?
- I guess.
- Yeah.
- Wow, that's awesome.
- Thank you.
- Oh, Brooke, thank you.
- Yeah.
- That was worth the wait.
- I'm glad.
- Really quick.
Back to dancing for just one brief second.
- I'm more comfortable there, yeah.
- I was gonna tell you,
so I filmed that comedy special.
Did I say I filmed it?
Yeah, I guess it was like public.
I filmed the comedy special.
I'm just gonna say right now,
I don't know how much of a comedy special it is.
- What do you, like, it's not funny?
- It almost reads more like an Anthony Bourdain
thing than a standup special.
Like, it's not an hour of standup.
We're like out doing stuff,
which I think I thrive more doing that
and then mixing in some, like.
- Yeah.
- I think I talk better than in situations
more than like writing standup about the situations.
But one of those situations I was in,
in June, I went to a strip club.
- Wait, when you were filming in Fort Lauderdale?
- Mm-hmm.
- I didn't know you went to the strip club.
- I went to a strip club.
- In Fort Lauderdale.
- A male strip club.
- I didn't know you went to a male strip club.
- At noon.
- I didn't know you went to a male strip club at noon.
- Yeah.
- Can I ask who you went with?
- Yeah, I went with the team.
Xavier, Maggie all came.
Those young men taught me the ground body roll
that I did last night on the dance floor.
- We owe it to them.
Do you have the name of the establishment
that you could shout out?
- LaBear.
- LaBear.
- And let me just double check that it was
Fort Lauderdale.
I think it was.
Yeah, LaBear.
Can you click on the men?
Because--
- Oh, I'm sorry.
My mistake for thinking was bear like the animal.
- No.
- Bear like--
- Bear like skin.
- Bear like an ass.
- So, they're really wonderful people.
They taught me everything I know.
And that's where this started.
Obviously in June I did not know that I'd be doing this,
but they had me up on the stage with them.
- I didn't know you got up on the stage with them.
You got up on the stage.
Is that filmed?
- Yep.
- Okay.
- It's in it.
I was in a construction vest and tasseled undies.
So.
- When can we see this?
- It's being--
This is the--
- Was the construction vest open?
- Nope, it was closed.
I looked very weird.
And I had a hard hat on.
And Maggie, they were like, now you'll do a lap dance
for on Maggie.
- Yeah.
- So, Maggie's on the chair
and then me and Xavier are giving her a lap dance.
So, when the young men, they hang from the rafters,
they're very strong, you know?
And they hang from the rafters
and they lap dance your face.
So, they almost like--
- Love, yeah.
- Yeah.
So, I'm like not--
- They're almost what?
- They're what?
- What?
- Well, what did you say?
- What did you say?
- I didn't get, I didn't mean to say anything
if I did say something.
- What did you think I think you said?
- They're what?
- No.
- Oh.
- You stopped mid-sentence.
- Sorry.
- All good.
- Well, they are built like differently than I am,
especially upper body.
So, I was trying to hang from the rafters
and they did that kind of body roll
that I was like forward facing.
I couldn't really get to the two rafters up top.
So, I was holding like kind of instead of
the Y axis, I was holding on the X axis.
And so, I could only kind of like hump Maggie's ear.
- Mm, cute.
- And that's on film.
But they taught me that body roll on the ground.
And if you watch the dance back, that's not the worm.
Everyone was like, you did the worm.
I said, I didn't do the worm.
I said, I had my right foot planted on the ground,
moving back, that was like stabilizing me to move backwards.
- It was like a moonwalk of sorts,
but it was like a humping moonwalk.
- Yes, it was.
- Is there a name for it?
- No, the magic--
- The Magic Mike?
- Worm, the Magic Mike worm?
I don't know.
- Magic Conch?
- The Magic Conch.
- Yeah, no, honey, that's the Magic Conch.
- Okay, this is like my--
- Wait, did I ask when we can see?
- See what?
- Your special?
- Well, it's being shopped around right now
and someone has to like, a stream, someone has to buy it.
- Well, is there like a link that you could send to me?
- Yeah.
- I can watch it.
- Okay.
- You know, I can't watch things I'm in.
Yeah.
- Okay.
Did you see this picture of you grinding in middle school?
- What in the, how did you?
Izzy, is that you in the dress?
Oh, no.
Sorry?
- Someone posted that.
- Where did they post that?
- On TikTok.
- Oh my gosh, these are all my friends from high school.
Ellen Hammond, Lila Love, Curtis Petty, wow.
- You look adorable, I love all your jewels.
- These are all my friends, aw, miss you guys.
- What were you, was this someone's quinceanera?
- I think that's Madeline in front of me.
No, that is Homecoming.
- Cute.
- So fun.
Always had the shirt on underneath the button up,
due to nipples.
- We've gotta get you caked up.
- I need to get caked up.
And I need to apologize to the woman I blocked
for saying you need cake.
I thought she was talking about my butt.
- That's a, that's, you're blocking people for a lot, huh?
For not a lot, for a little.
- Yeah.
- You're block happy?
- Yeah, I commented back to someone last night.
- I saw.
That's fine to do.
- Sorry, you're pushing me to my limits.
- Yeah, you're being pushed, you're being tested.
- I don't know if the network will love
that I'm clapping back.
I think we're supposed to ignore that, but like, I can't.
- No.
- And I could, I would not be able to either, so.
- That just reminded me, I guess that was high school.
Do you remember in high school where the fundraiser
would be like for $5, you can throw a pie
at the principal's face?
- Yeah.
- They should have done like for 10,
you can throw a book at your teacher.
- Yeah, I agree.
- The teacher you hate.
Would you guys absolutely effing kill me
if I got another coffee really quick?
- No.
- Can I make one really quick?
And then maybe, I have one story to tell you.
- Okay.
- Okay, two things.
- I'm feeling like horrible about my song.
- No, Brooke, that was amazing.
That was the highlight of the episode, by far.
I'll be right back.
- I'm, it's like post not clarity.
- Can you look up on Spotify, yearning playlist?
- Yeah, I have one of those.
- No, but Spotify just made one.
that coffee smells good it's so good it's donut shop
yearning playlists yearning mix made just for me you'll know yeah this is perfect no you'll know
they made one no i know yearning mix no yearning playlist it's called yearning playlist
what okay anyone i'm getting yearning mix romantic yearning mix and late night
oh my god what what we're the cover
spotify just made the yearning
yearning to dance with papa playlist on spotify a spot of a spotify official playlist called
yearning and it's riley and i on the flow from last night they move quick they are amazing oh my gosh
i know they're so good wow you guys go check out the yearning
yearning playlist on spotify that's so fun
oh that is hysterical i wonder if they'll add um
what's it called
didn't have to go far parentheses there's a star in your purse and parentheses
this there's a star in your purse is a brilliant touch thanks i like when songs do that
i like when movies say the name of the movie
i like when that happens in books
you know what i hate though what when they say the name of the movie in your throat sorry when
they say the name of the movie and then it like cuts to black and it's like salt burn yeah why
was it called salt did i tell you i watched that with my dad yeah that's i forgot about that's like
brooks nader being naked on the boat with her dad no it's not don't say that do not say that
they have a different why did they call it salt burn why did they call it salt burn
it was the name of the manor that they were all on
the banner the house manor the manor exactly it was the name of the manor salt burn manor
okay but like people i kind of feel like
no i mean that's a fine title what i was gonna say like maybe i feel like title should be a little
bit more involved
but i'm thinking about my possible title for book two and it's the least involved thing that's ever
i like when it's a thinker i like when a title is a thinker but salt burn's not a thinker is what
i'm saying it's just the name of the manor i was just thinking or you were thinking like you were
obviously didn't pay attention to the name of the house because i was focusing on him licking cum out
of the bathtub drain so they couldn't name it come out of the bathtub i like do you remember like
that feeling when you first saw that in the theater that's why i go to the movies that is
why we go i will tell you too like you know when i don't f with people like reacting in movies like
i'm sorry i don't like interesting like laughing or going oh we're like like i'm like i don't think
i could go see i'm not like a marvel fan necessarily i'll go see the movies i'm like
it's fun but people being like there's the character that i like and like oh and then like
i get crying and stuff but like having audible reactions like there needs to be
a loud theater and then like one where we're all kind of just watching the movie but in the salt
burn theater you would rather have everyone watch the cum slurping in total silence
rather than like a few gasps and like that was the exception like i'm not i was i'm not
i love when we're all like no no no no no no no together when during the grave scene which we now
know was improvised which makes me so freaked out that like one of the beatles and the beatles
biopic improvised a scene where he was performing coitus on a grave no i honest to god think if you
are in the character and you are hugging the grave you there's there was no other option as to where
that's like a scene where you're hugging the grave and you're hugging the grave and you're hugging the grave
going spot on i'm doing i'm doing what i did on the dance floor you know what has to happen
when i will say and you're gonna do it when that happened that was an out of i turned towards my
seat and went like this that's a very much like he's not gonna fuck the grave is he he is gonna
fuck the grave okay i couldn't i couldn't watch it was like but like he had to it was beyond
desecration absolutely had to based off of the person that he was it would not have made sense
for him i'm so confused it
would not have made sense for him to keep his his dick in his member out of the soil wouldn't have
made sense wouldn't have aligned with his character you brookie when you're right you're really right
i know that i don't totally understand like where his head was at because no like you are who you
are when no one's watching and like no one would watch it it's all like it was at the funeral and
it was like i need to show everyone how much i am going to miss this young man
watch it was like oh i'm alone time to get it on what my body is compelling me to do
like did what was it wasn't even to me it wasn't sexual no i don't think so either i think it was
more like a craving for flesh i was like oh to me it was i love you
in a yearn almost a yearning kind of way but almost like a year like it was carnal that was
it was carnal it was like i you need to we cannot look at this image i'm so sorry it's it is
disgusting no matter what it is it's disgusting i see to me come the what come slurping was
disgusting like it absolutely loved it it was disgusting and it gave me chills great fucking
i was like didn't find it disgusting found it powerful at the end of the day it's like are you
a slurper or are you a great fucker do you know what i mean
oh my god who are you
you are a cinephile aren't you
yup wait i had a panic attack about being stopped by the letterbox lady
the other day and i had to write down my my big four i think that's a smart thing to do because
lord knows what i would say because fool's gold for christmas is titanic and
you're gonna want to lie do you think like i love that because but these people you want to
no i like that i i like that and i think that's representative of your your character and i think
that builds a person i have a lying one too what's your lying one princess bride well i would keep
twilight twilight i'm also not lying it's just like i love these movies it's like the more my
favorite movie is the one that i love the most it's like the one that i love the most it's like
the movies that are a little bit more what shaped you what was the house but these are not the
movies that i'm like putting on every second of every day like i did princess diaries super bad
twilight and tarzan princess bride is in there princess diaries is in my like i'm watching every
day princess bride is in my more elevated favorites so my more elevated favorites are
princess bride dirty dancing crazy stupid love and twilight
i didn't like crazy stupid love
i have to say i think that was like the beginning of these like youtube movies
see that to me is the last of the rom-coms the last of the good rom-coms i think it plays in
terms of rom-com i think that that's when we started getting towards like remember when
valentine's day came out and like why did they have multiple storylines it was multiple storylines but
also like everyone's too famous for me to like latch but like
i don't know i don't know
that was ripe yes they were all super famous but like
it was right before emma stone was like emma stone
i think emma stone's one of the best actresses in the world yeah i do too but
she doesn't connect with me for some reason oh interesting yeah um and begonia didn't help oh i
didn't see begonia oh but i loved four things honestly maybe that what maybe i'll put that on
my oh my god i'll put salt burn on
brooke don't put salt burn on your list please that's gonna be people are gonna
yeah make make up stories about why oh edward scissorhands maybe i'll put on my list
you are fascinating really yeah
um well let me try to think of like a deeper more serious book that i could or movie that i could put
on my list i love the royal tenenbaums but i feel like i haven't seen it enough to be like it's my
one of my favorite i've ever watched a serious movie
oh my god i don't know if i have let me go to my really long favorite romantic oh my god i don't
know if i have what's a serious movie think think you've seen things in theater like marty supreme
what the hell happened with that i thought that was
marty supreme was like going and watching a firework show like it's over and now it's gone
saint almost fire i really love oh my gosh is he just pulled up oh um hey you know what i like
what
oh my god maybe life of pie there that's a good one yeah it's symbolism you know i like symbolism
that is see that to me it's like way too much symbolism i like the symbolism i haven't seen
any of these serious movies that izzy just pulled up wait sorry oh my god you've not seen remember
me no what is it what's it about the robert pattinson movie with like a pretty big twist at
the end twist i'm gonna spoil remember me because it's been out for 25 years it's like
the whole everything happens and at the end they just zoom out and rob's like in the twin towers
and it's 9-11 and he's about to go down oh that's but like it kind of had the whole movie had
nothing to do with 9-11 he just like ended up the last scene of the movie is just like
him in an office and zoom out then you you realize that the movie takes place in
on 9-11 2021
2001 is what i meant to say so then just last shot is him you know i love shutter island i
watched shutter island the other day oh yeah did you not like it nope that's so insane
anyways every tuesday night do you want to hear pie do you want to hear an insane twist at the
end the pervert's guide to cinema what's that my memoir
i don't know i'm not familiar with the pervert's guide to cinema i'm sure my ass would like it
slavik zizek guides the viewer through some of the greatest movies ever made oh okay
this is like a not the type of movie that i would watch
um do you want to hear an insane twist at the end marcel the shell oh my god tick tick boom
that's my favorite movie love actually i have to completely redo my letterboxd for
big fat liar
these are like yeah movies okay i have to do some complete reframing
i went to creation the other day yeah well i didn't go i ordered it with a k to get a salad
i got a juice and a salad and i'm and i got a wellness shot in my in my bag and i'm like okay
cool this is a well-rounded meal and i eat this out and i'm like it's so funky that like
this is so dry
but i guess it's healthy and i'm eating this out eating this out choking it down it's very dry
i'm taking sips of my green smoothie to get it down and at the end i was like now i'm gonna
wash it down with my wellness shot and i take the wellness shot i'm like oh my god this must
be really healthy this is disgusting fired balsamic vinaigrette
ah you are i was so healthy i had the healthiest meal in my life i had the healthiest meal in my life
i had the healthiest meal in the world and then i washed it down with probably 350 calories of
salad dressing man you are
how's your do you feel like your body's strong my legs are stronger yeah i see that my upper
body i really need to go to the gym surely your arms are like feeling toned no no they're not
toned um i saw
verity did you really and i saw prime time okay everyone's being so dramatic about verity
what do you mean what are they saying it's the worst thing they've ever seen it was very
entertaining and like fun y'all are like doing way too much sorry like it's a fun time i don't
know what everyone was expecting but like it's a it's an entertaining two hours is it kind of like
bad acting vibes i
i honestly i i think how to say how you can say whatever you feel i don't think it was bad acting
i think dakota plays a pretty similar role in every movie which is maybe like you could have
taken her character from 50 shades of gray and put her in verity and it would be the same thing
it was it would be all like that's what happened um which is fine like i don't think her character
needed to be super deep um and ann was definitely it's like it was kind of like campy i and was like
playing a very like a caricature of a woman of this like of this author we've reached a point
really quick for you even for where like every movie if it's bad we can't just call it campy like
i'm sorry i didn't call the movie campy i said her acting i know but like we can't like it has
been for a little while like
I'm like, I think the movie was bad.
And people are like, well, it's campy.
Or the TV show was bad.
Well, it's campy.
It's intentionally.
Okay.
Crazy idea.
Why don't we make something good?
It's just like, I just thought it was like exactly like a good adaptation.
Like it was the book.
Granted, I read the book when it came out.
I don't know, 2018 or 2019 or something.
So I don't remember it that well.
But like from everything I remembered, it was just the book.
So like, I don't know what people were expecting.
Like obviously some things are going to change.
Do you feel like in today's day and age, everyone's very hypercritical?
I feel like everyone's being super, like it was just a moot.
Like it was a moot.
Like y'all, it was fine.
Like it was good.
It was entertaining.
And like, at least for me, like I was not expecting it to be anything.
Oh, shit.
Sorry.
Just a little fly on me.
I don't know why I reacted that way.
I was just not expecting it to be anything other than entertaining.
I think that the like outcry is like.
Kind of crazy.
Like I thought it was just so fine.
There's a public outcry?
Yeah, everyone's like, it's the worst thing I've ever seen.
It is not the worst thing you've ever seen.
Huh.
By any means.
Like, I don't know.
I just don't know what people were expecting, I guess.
Prime time on the other hand.
Robert Pattinson is like genuinely the best actor on the earth.
Have you seen what he's capable of in this film?
No.
His Chris Hansen impression.
It's like pretty scary.
Do you know Chris Hansen?
Enough.
I want to ask you about him, though.
I didn't know.
I didn't know much.
All I knew is that I had seen Chris Hansen talking about the movie and how it just everything
is a completely fictionalized version of his life.
Like nothing actually happened.
So when I saw the movie, something happens in the end.
And I was like, damn, that's like a crazy liberty to take.
That's like a wild spin on this story.
Come to find that's the true part.
I was like, whoa, I can't believe this happened and I never knew about it.
Can you tell me what it is?
Welcome back, Frick and Frack.
ABC Wednesdays.
Abbott is back.
It's going to be the best year yet.
Thank you.
Now we can finally turn this up and everyone's going wild.
It's going wild.
It's going great.
Abbott Elementary.
Anything can happen in the jungle, right, guys?
Fall never arrives all at once.
First the air, then the light, and slowly the things you love begin to find each other.
A jacket meets a dress, a hoodie slips beneath a blazer.
An old cap finds a new scarf because you don't simply step into the season.
You create it layer by layer until it finally feels like fall.
Find fall your way at Ross.
At ZocDoc, we know you care about your health.
You wouldn't do that early morning cardio if you didn't.

ZocDoc, ready to be seen?
I mean, I guess, yeah, because it happened in real life.
Basically, they caught a predator and he ended up being like, I forget what his role was,
something in the government, he was a DA.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
closing in on him he shot himself like on sight and that led to the show being canceled because
there were so many lawsuits involved i'm just like it's crazy that i never heard about that
happening because like that's one crazy thing for the da to be seeking out young men online
which like obviously that shit happens but like it's just crazy that it was so public and i never
heard about it and he killed himself and just this whole thing so that's what i was like oh damn that's
a crazy creative liberty to take but it really happened the creative liberty that they did take
which has to do with skylar what is his last name guisingado something like that who i'm
obsessed with by the way me too i want to we should have his skyler yeah i love him um he's
so talented the creative liberty that they took had to do with that chris hansen was referring
to had to do with his storyline but i don't even think it was that much of a creative liberty i
think they were actually like drawing attention to
something really important he plays a decoy which is like the the actors on how to
catch a predator that would lure the predators in and basically his storyline was like how that
affected the decoys because they were like in ways like kind of like assaulted like it's really scary
to like be associating with the actual predators yeah so they were kind of like drawing light onto
that and obviously taking creative liberties while they did it which i'm assuming is what
chris hansen was like none of that happened but like it definitely it was an interesting story
what's happening now with like the public eye like chris hansen didn't
is not getting like flowers from this show which like are this movie which is weird because i feel
like this is you would what do you mean like flowers like i'm i'm only seeing well he's like
fuck this so does it pain him
the part that is like questionable is the part of like how the decoys like they were put in these
really vulnerable positions that were like and like in the in the show skylar's like pretty
much assaulted because one of the predators like whips out his piece in front of him on his first
day and then skylar's or dan plum skylar's character is like obviously like very very shaken
by that and then they just kind of brush it under the sun and then they just kind of brush it under
the rug and chris hansen's robert pattinson is like you're good like you're doing great you're
doing great work like you're actually like catching predators like good for you like keep it up like
oh chris hansen should have been the decoy but chris hansen is like that didn't happen which
like i'm sure that scene didn't happen but like it's just like the whole concept of the decoy is
like he's gonna sue he's gonna sue so that would that yeah i'm sure can we scroll down a little bit
page six chris hansen's decoy is like he's gonna sue he's gonna sue so that would that yeah i'm
sure chris hansen will decide if he's suing over robert pattinson movie about his life
yeah i don't he's he's talking about it a lot and he's also like do i really talk like that
yes my lovey yes my love bucket i thought it was fabulous oh and rob did like like it's it's why
when you watch the side by sides i'll have to check it out i would have loved how to catch a
like without realizing i mean my ass probably wouldn't have realized it was problematic i'm
very stupid um but it's like the first catfish
yeah watch that let's listen to it how this looks you see how this looks you see how this
looks right again you see how this looks do you see how this looks thomas now you see how that
looks exactly what you see how this looks yeah i'm chris hansen with dateline nbc you see how this
looks right now i'm chris hansen with dateline nbc you see how this looks right now i'm chris hansen
right you see how this i'm having trouble taking him out of batman i want you to try to take him
out of batman to me that was like the joker talking he never played the joker to me and that
that was the joker you see how about you try it how about you go watch you watch it
no you don't have time i have time to watch movies it's in theaters oh
hmm no anyway i really really liked it i thought it was very interesting and i thought the
performances were really brilliant oh good okay i'll check it out but also like i'm stupid
don't say that about my friend or i'm not a cinephile so like what do i know me saying
hey verity was good i know i think there's a lot of very stupid people that have input on a lot of
things i'm definitely not a cinephile that's what i'll say i can only speak to what i enjoyed well
that's it if it worked for you it worked for you if it makes you happy here's what i'll say though
here's what i think is interesting while i was sitting in i saw verity and primetime
