You went to a couple of places. I don't know. I think we were all running around for like a straight month and a half, two months. They're like crazy because we did racing school. I don't know what you're doing. That look fun. Went back on the campaign trail, but where are you up to? Except for racing school. I was with you guys for the most of it, I think. I don't know, just working stream and say I'm all say I'm all live in that dream. Yeah. Doing the work. Dude, how goes campaign trail, Mr. Brandon? Well, it's really cool. I get to spend at least one to two days a week in my own house. It's really cool. Overachiever. Yeah, I get to sleep in my own bed. I'm like at a certain point. I was like, why didn't I just get a storage container in a just a hotel room when I'm in town at this point? Not bad. Yeah. It's not too late. It's it's been good though. Like we're going all over the place because it's such a big district. It's the biggest district in all of Texas. Biggest border district in the country. It's it's massive. So there's a lot of it's 27 counties that we have to cover. So we're we're just hitting the ground every day we can. Beautiful. Just talking to people and not even waiting to do the job, just showing up and and finding out what the issues are, whether it's data centers, whether it's power lines, whether it's like the big bend border wall, screw worm, just handling it now. What do you find is like the biggest issue that's coming up? There's a lot of like there's a lot of big federal issues. Like everybody wants to talk about, you know, like, Oh, gun control, war or this, that whatever, but really a lot of the things in the district that like we can actually help with are like the local issues. And a lot of them weirdly are not political. It's like it's not Republican Democrat. It's it's just, hey, we're running out of fucking water. Here's how we need to approach it. Hey, screwworm is an issue. How can we solve it? Hey, border walls going up here through this, you know, national park that doesn't need it. We're wasting a bunch of money and ruining the landscape. Like how do we fight that? And so it's or how do we, how do we keep the border secure without needing a physical barrier? And so it's there's a lot of localized issues like that. And honestly, that's been the most fun is because like for me, like as a business owner. I've just been a problem solver for a while, like anybody who's been in business knows that you just become a professional firefighter. It's a tech putting out fires figuring stuff out putting out fires. And so for me, this is fun. So that this is like right up my forte is just trying to figure out how we can solve these problems. And so we've been just killing that nonstop. That's awesome, man, question because I know what screw or screw worm. So do you do legit on up? I know, but okay, got it for the mask. So screw worm is basically so it's a it's a type of fly that has been. Okay, I had never mind. I don't know. Oh, really never mind. Yeah, you just threw a different screw worm is not one. So I'm like, yes, it's a fly. It's a helicopter. Well, so one of the well, that's one of the big issues right now is because you know, Texas is obviously very big in the cattle and like beef industry stuff like that. So there is a type of fly that exists that basically like it lays its eggs in, you know, wounds in cattle or different, a couple different things. But it has a near 100% fatality rate. That's probably within like I want to say two weeks. Don't quote me on that. But it's a huge, huge issue. And it was a really big issue back in the 60s. We put out a bunch of sterilized flies. So male flies that basically just made it so that they couldn't reproduce. And we beat it back. Yes, it was actually when the cattle industry was saved by fly shooting planks dead serious. We beat it back down south of the Darian gap down back to South America. And it hasn't been an issue until the last couple years. I mean, Connor did a video on it after we talked about it. So you want to look up the screw worm video by King Trout. Yeah. But it's it's it's back essentially for the first time in decades. And so we're making sure that we we fight it effectively. And I was meeting with the EPA USDA couple of Congressmen just trying to figure out everything we can do to expedite that. See, that's awesome because that can get out of control fast, which I'm assuming Connor, you had all the information on how much that fucked everything in the past. I'm sitting on my lap. Oh, I just really wanted you to sit on my lap. Trying to loop in the car about. Speaking of screw worm. Oh, no. Little banana in your pocket. You just screw them to see me. That's a screw woman. So my head loads that. We're right back. Pop out your dentures. Then we like completely beat it out of the country. Like Brandon said, starting in the 60s up until I think we got it out in the 70s. All the cases that were coming in were coming across the border from Mexico. So then we had these sterile fly facilities out in West Texas. I think there was one pushed them all the way back all the way back down into South America. We were funding this facility and then the problem was no longer around because it was outside out of mind. And so they shut down funding for the facility and wouldn't you believe it? Third world Central America nations didn't handle the problem and keep it resolved. So it made its way back as of what a month ago. How much money did you get into the US anyway? It came across a dairy and gap acute a couple years ago. And made its way back up through Mexico. Yeah, we've which for whatever reason years and years. This was like 2022 2023. We just didn't reopen the or approve the reopening of the the sterilized fly facilities. I think it over the wall. Ain't no wall in Panama. Sailed through the sale to the canal. I don't know what I'm talking about. Well, the answer to your question was like back in the 60s and 70s was like tens of millions of dollars and then believe it or not. The cattle or the population of cattle in the US is smaller now than it was back then because they kind of wrote off a bunch of those like losses to like blatant things. So the expectation was that you'd have you know a thousand had a cattle and 20% of them are going to die. Well, medication got so much better that now if you have a thousand head of cattle, 998 of them are going to survive unless they're infected by this parasite where you cannot sell their meat, Canada shut down live-stock, sort of looking poor. -What was that? -What was that noise? But so yeah it was like 100 minutes since I did the research, I want to say at bare minimum tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of dollars. -It's like 300 million I think, 300 something million. -For these modern, but just back in the late six. -Yeah, no, Chris, so nowadays it would be literally like tens of billions of dollars. -So something we definitely want to take seriously. And it also, you know, as to why it's on my plate, in the beginning at least half of all the confirmed cases in the United States were in my district. -Oh, of course. -All right. -Yeah, what a problem I walk into, but he's getting it solved. -Driving it. -I mean, it wasn't soft last night. -Thank you. -And also, well, something if I could say, I feel like we've monopolized a lot of time in the beginning about something that's not particularly interesting for those people, but I find it fascinating. -I find that interesting because I just learned something. -I find it fascinating. -We learned that a worm is a fly. -Well, because it's the larva. So the larva is what? Is it the name of this? -Your larva. -Yeah, for real. They're like the only fly species where the maggots that they're exactly like bop lies. It can be any sort of like exotics, like deer. This is kind of during the, you know, just at fresh out of the atomic age, I guess. Somebody just wondered like, okay, what if we shot up a bunch of those flies? Like, what if we bred the flies and shot them up with radiation and sterilize them? So we use radiation to sterilize the male flies and then just release those back into, you know, to the tune of millions and millions of flies. -Nagasaki flies. -Straight up. Like, we just, we would drop like canisters of flies into infected areas and it would just slowly make the flies sterile. And they went down into the tip of his finger. Oh, fuck that. They injected it into his elbow from his finger. Basically, Jesus. So it sounds like we got to inject this in the elbow. Why are you starting my finger? We can go any other path on this. Well, I feel like that's a beautiful segue to talk into a little bit of your day job. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, absolutely. I give people needles in their index finger for a living. Well, you have multiple, which is again, wow. Yeah, I'm all over the place. Multiple fingers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, ten of them still. Why? Because I didn't hustle his hair. Yeah. No, I'm an EMT. I'm a volunteer EMT. I'm a per DM EMT and 911 dispatcher. I just I couldn't really decide. So I hit the job market early and just took over all of them. That's what that point. But yeah, I mean, I've never quite dealt with something like that. But sure, I mean, I definitely do run into a bunch of different circumstances that I've got to be taken care of. Yeah, I'm an EMT for a volunteer agency. When I started, I just I still volunteer with them. So I just feel like it's the right thing to do. A per DM department, a couple of towns away from that decided to pick me up. So I still ride on the ambulance, per DM and volunteer. And my general, my actual career is I'm a 911 dispatcher for a police department, a couple of towns away from there. So I'm all in this one general bubble. And that's what I do. You've never had to deal with rabies. I have not dealt with rabies. I think it's because you like do you mind if we say what state? No, of course not. Okay, just in Jersey. I feel like I feel like the the ambient radiation of that state. Yeah, just kills all the 100%. Just wait. That same that same nuclear radiation that they use for the flies. If you can just go and drop it right there, that means it's great. I can't take it. I mean, listen, you guys saw it firsthand. You guys got the witness Jersey firsthand. How do you want? It's one of my least favorite places in the country. You know, I got a lot of friends there, which is weird. There's a reason I keep coming to Texas. I've got a lot of friends that live in Jersey. And they all for whatever reason, just pretend it doesn't suck. Stop doing that. Give it to the dark side. If you're going to get involved in emergency services, the way to do it is two months before pandemic starts. 10 out of 10 recommend. It took me seven months to finish the certification. It should have took me three. At the same time, I was going through this batch school and it was a whole bunch of stuff that was done. I mean, talk about trial by Chinese fire. Literally. When I signed up for EMS, I was telling Eli this. I was dealing with like little Johnny with the skinny or like grandma who decided to take a tumble behind the dresser and ended up all cocked behind there. We got to go lift her up at three o'clock in the morning or like, grandpa who fell down the stairs because he needed to use the downstairs bathroom because he doesn't like the upstairs bathroom like that type of stuff. That's happened. I'm guessing if you have that often. Yeah, that's not something you just pull out as well. Also, the house in reference that I'm talking about had one of those freaking chairs that take you down the stairs, but no, we had to walk. So yeah, take a tumble. Charlie takes a tumble. There's a reason you have that stupid chair. Anyway, I digress. But yeah, and then. So that's what I that's what I signed up for a few else. That was the EMS that I had been training with and training for. And then we went to the pandemic. And once I got out of EMT school, it became from little Johnny with a skin need to 20 patients a night that couldn't breathe, couldn't walk, couldn't talk, couldn't think. They were altered mental. They were unconscious. They were vomiting. I was telling you, like, we were showing up to house in Tyvex suits with respirators and goggles. We looked like, yeah, we looked like we were just straight up going into a nuclear facility. And it was wild. And that we would strip that gown off, change out our filters, go to the next call and just rinse and repeat. We would dispatch a lot of times from the hospital. We wouldn't even make it back to headquarters. Because like, well, I, I recall correctly. You guys were right next to what was essentially ground zero at the time of New York City. Yeah, where I heard things got real fucking real bad. Yeah, they brought out a giant boat that they used three rooms for. That was great. We loved that. But yeah, that we, we ended up having a. Could you explain what you just said a little bit? So New York ended up in Africa. I forgot what they called it, everybody. They, they brought out this giant hospital boat and they docked it in the harbor. Where was that boat called up all of the Navy boat? Yeah, it was a, it was a mercy, the mercy. That's what it was. Yeah, it was literally a boat. There was a facility that was designed to house COVID patients. And they use like four rooms of it. But don't worry, they pulled all the respirators and all this stuff out of a bunch of hospitals. That was great. So, but yeah, we're borrowing this. We're plugging mom. But, but yeah, it was, it was, you have to understand that this was something that was new. This isn't something anybody had ever dealt with before. So they're, they're trying to work with this exploding clock that nobody really understood or knew how to navigate. And in doing so, we're taking on 15, 20 calls. Hospitals are developing protocols that have all these rooms outside. Trailers are showing up or refrigerator trucks are showing up outside. You don't put healthy people in refrigerator trucks. Now, with each station of you or each call, do you have to clean the outfair? Or is it a brand new out? No, we would, we would rip, we would rip the suit suit comes off at super thin. It's like, it's almost like a thin fabric paper. Yeah, paper tops. Mostly probably just because we didn't really know that much back then. Exactly. We were throwing it, it comes up to a hood, it comes to your forehead. But goggles on, you have this big respirator on just the double-sided respirators. And, yeah, we were, and one call after the next, one after the next. And that's, that's how my content started was because I, I went from knowing what I was getting into to being very much out of my element. And it was, it was taken an emotional and, and mental toll on me because I wasn't, I didn't know this is what it could be. And that's why I started making content was because it was a way for me to kind of disassociate from everything and just kind of be stupid for a little bit and try to make myself laugh. And if it made somebody else laugh too, that was awesome. But it was a way for me to be like, you know what, it's, it's not all so bad, it's not all so bad, you know. And that's, that's how we ended up making goofy content. At least I hope it's goofy, you know. Yeah. You're telling me people who actually experience hard things in life resort to dark humor? Not, not, I would never do that. What is? I would never do that. God, you would love my, my dark humor jokes. It's what I'm pretty low, it's just, I'm not gonna get canceled, can't have that. Oh, tell me how I know. But yeah, but yeah, that's, that's what it ended up being. And I was just any, any little stupid thing that would make me laugh, I would make some sort of content about it. And then there was that one phallic video with the stupid gold thing that was just kind of serpentineing up. And I was like, that looks like a bending weiner. We're gonna make some jokes about that. You're actually the only man I know that is. I believe I might be out of sticking shit in people's ass. Well, unfortunately she comes out of it as the problem, whether it comes out or not, I got a great story for you. But last time I was here, I told a story about, about a cap that came off of a swav bottle. And at that time that was the only call like that that I had had you were here for a dollar. It's okay. They went after him, he slotted the one guy, was going to start engaging the next guy who tried to hit him with a truck in the meantime. And it's really cool little micro brand company that does a really nice job making nice watches. It has picked up one of their day trippers. I can show you that one, but I have, it's a day-tripper blue. So that was Trafford Watch day-tripper. So that's not exactly this watch, but it looks similar to this. - Okay. - One of these guys. But yeah, so we do the podcast. We do my short form is over on the original batch 502 channel. And then I started doing through my 502 reviews. That's the new channel that we created was 502 reviews. And that is kind of reaction videos to, now listen, I've never been, I work in law enforcement, sure, but I've never been a cop. I've never been in the military, unfortunately. And so it's hard for me to speak to like weapons and tactics and things like that in shootings. Like I just, I don't understand that enough to be able to speak educationally about it. But I, listen, I can bust balls as good as fucking anybody. I can make fun of you. And you will not know I made fun of you for another 45 minutes until I walked away. So what we are doing is things like DUI's case, is stuff that a 911 dispatcher would send you to, have to understand EMTs would show up to. And we're doing like DUIs and-- EMTs showing up to a DUI. Oh, yeah, we do it all the time. Really? Oh, yeah. Yeah, when people crash their cars. Oh, well, well, yeah. Yeah, well, yeah. That makes way more sense. Yeah, words of Ron White, anything's a DUI checkpoint if you crash your car into it. You're exactly right. I'll give you first, the first one that we just did was the Assistant Attorney General. She was out of Newport, Rhode Island. I said, New Hampshire, yes, I've had Newport, Rhode Island. She's the Assistant Attorney General over there. And she's getting like trespassment. But she's not a couple too many drinks. And they're like, I, this lady's got to go. She's getting jacked out of here. And it's like her, her friend, and the two guys, and obviously two guys are super fucking helpful. And then she's with her friend who's just screaming. And it's Newport, Rhode Island. They're just hoidy, toyty, rich motherfuckers who just want to free. So this is what she's an AG. So she knows what she's talking about. But she's talking about like, you need to shut your body cam off, all this stuff. And I'm like, well, first off, no, no, the fuck they don't. I mean, they're situations where they might ask you to. And it might be viable. It's like a super delicate situation. You can ask that. But it's still going to be the opposite. Well, what would a situation be that you would shut a body cam off? So yes, if it's like a DV conversation that is getting hyper personal if they're talking about juveniles in a certain way, but there's certain things. Again, that officers can technically have the ability to do it. But there's more like, you're going to cover your bases. Like, no officers are really going to be like, we're shutting our cameras off as well. I was going to say, I feel like no matter what. Even if it is super delicate, like that's something-- I mean, if somebody admits to something that's like, oh, well, that's like a child crime. Yeah, exactly. You want that stuff on it. So I can think of very minimal reasons. My animal, which I beat WC off. But she keeps telling them that they have to shut it off. You have to shut it off. And mind you, she's in the middle of a wide open restaurant front with a couple cops. And she's just screaming, I'm an A.J. I'm an A.J. And I'm like, well, you're fuck it. First off, there's two aspects of this. First off, you can't just scream, I'm an A.J. And expect people to help not to not do something. Because first off, look at all these people that are watching. So if you're like, I'm an A.J., they're going to be like, oh, OK, well, we can't do anything that. No, you're going to get fucking jammed up because these cops are now going to be like, well, I can't not do anything now, because everybody around you is going to be like, whoa, they're letting you go, which is an attorney general. So you can see it through them. On top of that, in public, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy. Correct. It's 100%. 100%. 100%. Now the other half of it is-- and go, I guarantee you, you're going to feel at least 5% this way. Cops do not love A.J.'s, man. They don't love A.J.'s. They don't love prosecutors. If I was to arrest somebody for 15 freaking crimes, and I go to court, and they drop nine of those crimes, or 13 of those crimes, what the hell did all that work for? I just did all this work trying to-- and these guys are just like, nah, you're good. We're just going to get them on this. And we'll call this then. That wasn't your area. I can't. It's fucking-- Oh, yeah, never mind. Now I get why you would not like them as a-- I'm not going to bring this partisan-wise, but let's say I'm assuming this was a soft on crime, A.J. It was Newport, Rhode Island, baby, you know? There was a-- There was a day soft on crime, 100%, most likely. Like there's a spot in it where I was like-- the cutaway was, what's your superpower? I'm rich. It's like, just a bunch of rich people that aren't used to being told no. And I think she said, one of the officers was like-- lived over at the guys, and was like, can you get your kids out of here? Just like in real life? And I'm like, that's fucking hilarious. Like maybe not the height of professionalism is still fucking hilarious. And please get these kids out of here. You're ridiculous. But yeah, so we're doing things like that where it's going to be just breakdowns of things like that and just kind of chop bust in. And hopefully it's funny. I hope you guys like it.
