The Untethered Canine

The episode explores a mix of sports, cultural commentary, and personal stories. It highlights Angel Reese’s groundbreaking achievements in the WNBA, celebrating her record-setting performance and defensive dominance. It then shifts to a critical discussion on artificial intelligence, examining how AI tools are being adopted across society—from social media content to food branding—while sparking debates about authenticity, creativity, and the environmental and cultural costs of overuse. The conversation reflects generational divides in technology use, with younger people expressing frustration at the superficiality of AI-generated content. Other segments address social media controversies, such as Chris Brown’s ongoing baby mama drama and Rihanna’s late arrival at a Fashion Week show, which some interpret as a critique of performative accountability. A lighter moment features Raven Simone’s humorous take on wearing period diapers, which is framed as a challenge to menstrual stigma and a call for greater bodily autonomy. The episode also confronts deep-rooted cultural narratives about Black Americans being perceived as lazy or unproductive, with personal experiences revealing how such beliefs are perpetuated through family and societal messaging. Finally, a heartfelt letter discusses the emotional fallout of a friendship fractured by silence after a close family member’s death, emphasizing the need for open, honest communication in relationships. The overarching theme is a call for empathy, self-reflection, and accountability in both personal and societal contexts.

oh yeah the new franchise yeah yeah yeah that's gotta happen okay let's get into this week's hot tops I'm keeping it extremely short this week because I am so tired words can't describe it and this shows ancient so is it still warm over there you'll be fine is it warm yes it was a hundred degrees no wait a minute it was 100 living degrees on on on oh my god and I said well I won't be able to be outside yelling gang gang I'm sure don't gang gang yeah it's just crazy our high is like 68 degrees today I think so yeah our friend text me and our Friday was like well it's 70 in New York so we're kind of I'm I'm not partially kicking it I love the transition to fall that it's one of my favorite things it's nice it really is oh nice it's pretty weather no broad just a hoodie on I can walk lay me eight times a day because the weather is just perfect it's not too extreme yeah it's great less humid than summer yes great time be outside yeah fall clothing if you're from a place like I'm from the get to actually see leaves change right yeah New York City fall is great fall here reminds me of Miami it's gonna be summer yeah yeah 50 degrees that's not that I I mean I just googled LA weather and it said severe weather warning 98 degree I'm like oh god oh yeah I just get used to seeing that shit on my weather app at this point extreme heat advisory yeah no you will fall out there so right and it's I mean we're a week into October and it's still that hot so it's almost as if the climate is changing I mean I actually don't know what the LA climate is usually like but that sounds accurate to me it's almost as if you bitches keep making me goes AI videos AI album covers AI free before 12 flyers AI what I would look like in a crack em a debt epidemic yeah AI what it would look like if I was one of the pits and how all of those things affect natural resources anywhere you know the elders are actually so bad about AI like oh yeah they're really bad about it they be on Facebook posting themselves with different AI haircuts and yeah they be making AI greeting cards and just all kind of AI the AI music you niggas make it's just yeah and now the plan is boiling so but you're great I almost I almost don't say it because it seems extreme with older folks I'm like okay I get why you're so fascinated by the fact that you can jump on the chat jeep is here whatever and in seconds you have a flyer for the cookout or you know for somebody's birthday like I get I'm not saying I might as well be magic to you right to them it's just like oh my god here's good wood life has become now so quick you know what I mean so I kind of feel feel like I guess like an understanding with them empathy whatever you might want to call it because you know I think of working at the Apple store way back when when the first iPhone came out and I think I mentioned this the amount of older people who come in and be like the icons on this phone won't stop shaking and I don't know what to do like all the time it happens and I used to feel so bad because I would just go whoop for two seconds and it would stop yeah it's like you came all the way out here to the falls for it um I worked at AT&T when that damn phone came out the number phone calls the number of phone calls with people like how do I the number one thing we had to walk people through was setting up their email on the mail app and oh my god you would have thought we were asking to build a spaceship from scratch the way they could not figure it out like girl you have to type in your password how you asking me what your password is okay sorry I'm triggered but oh my god God, hours on the fall with John Granny's. - So there's a part of me that I, my heart, my heart just kinda does a little lovely wiggle in a shake 'cause I'm like, "Oh, you found some new age technology that you actually know how to use and it makes you happy in one way or the next." Now, you will have to deal with me being the younger generation going, "Well, no, 'cause I'm gonna." - I mean, yeah. And your grandchildren won't have water or anything, but you won't be here, so it won't be your problem. - Exactly, so I'm gonna have something to say about it, but I feel less frustrated with Granny and old auntie being like, "Oh, I asked you at GPT, you know too." - Yep, make a flyer for my pot luck. - Yep, that's so easy. Look past this, I'm so sad GPT to put me in you in this old Lord, and then I print banners with that bullshit. - Versus people to age of like 10 to 50. - Yeah. - Like, here's what I looked like if I did quayloons. - Yeah. The bodegas and corner stores up here are starting to use AI artwork for like their food, like AI burgers and AI fries, AI subs, and sandwiches, heroes, and stuff. I'm just like, this won't even look good. That's not what you say. - And it's not what you say. - Right. - Nobody gets a burger out the fucking bodeguay anyway, but still. - And they probably write, and they probably like well, Wendy's Burger King, you know what I'm saying? Like those are in the burgers that you get. Yes, but they're not AI either. - Right. - They paint and airbrush them burgers, but they're not AI yet. - I mean, why don't you niggas make one and then take a good picture of it? - Did I make that up? Like, (laughing) Why don't you make a turkey Swiss and you know, with lettuce and tomato? Why don't you just make one? - I'll see, if you can make a breakfast sandwich using a bodega that's worth a picture just after you made it, then stop talking to me. And do you think we don't know what a bacon egg and cheese on a roll looks like? - Right. - When I see an AI sign on a corner store or a bodega, whatever it is, I just'm like, I'm not going in there. Even for a bottle, well, I'm just not going in there. Y'all piss me off. - Yeah, I said this off yours thoughts last week too. If you have an AI I'm covered, it is extremely unlikely that I will listen to it. - Yeah, yeah. - Like I don't care if I like you like your music. If you have an I'm covered that is expressly and explicitly made by artificial intelligence. The likelihood that I'm a click play is subset. Like it is practically non-existent. - Yeah. - I will judge a book by its cover in that regard. 'Cause why did you do that? Why did you do that? - I think those same goals for book covers as well. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - It's kind of. - This is ratchet for book covers, baby. Because people are using AI to write the book and design the book cover. So it's like what do you do? - So leave me alone. - Leave me alone. - This is supposed to be a creative endeavor. And you, you Claude wrote this, chat wrote this, you did not write this, you didn't design this. - Well, I wrote my name because it's expected to even not as spell it properly. - Anyway. - By living out. Okay. - Now that we're done being old, ranting about. - I don't give a fuck. If that's what it means, then that's what it means. If me being old is saying, "Hey, maybe stop making these pointless megos AI videos because it's killing the planet and we're watching it happen real time." If that makes me old, shady pines me bitch. - No, for real. Leave the AI for the cancer treatments and the, you know, the shit that's not the generative, creative AI. Like, let's leave it for the things that are actually progressing humanity and not this little bullshit that y'all using the past the time. - There are some versions of it is, "Okay, I'm gonna move on to talk about you." So not much to discuss. As I said, Chris Brown, baby mama's drama. One of his baby mama's is, well, he accused one of his baby mama's of not letting him see his daughter, the baby mama's like, "Will you threaten my boyfriend and his little brother?" So we good off you. - Yeah, that'll do it. - And so then he posted this whole long ass essay on Instagram stories about how, you know, he just wanted to see his daughter and she bit her and typical baby father shit when, you know, they get into it with their baby mama. Usually when they can't get their way or control them, and then they baby mama be like, "Well, you're an absolute piece of shit." So, yeah, no surprise. Or you're leaving out the full story. I don't know either one of these niggas so I couldn't tell you anything about them. I have not even heard of this lady diamond prior to today. I know that he has about four or five baby mama's. So, for what it's worth to seem like all the other baby mama's tapped in to, you know, become the Chris Brown Justice League or some shit and be like, "Oh, well, match that clear this week." - Yeah. - My lamp truck is here outside. So, what's Tee, why are you bitching? - Right. - I'm pretty sure that's nothing. - And so it has actually, it is now resurfaced the conversation of Chris Brown having the history of being abusive and manipulative and deflecting and not taking accountability. And of course, he and his fans are very frustrated about that because it's resurfaced after what eight days. - I'm talking about it. - So. - Yeah. I don't have anything else. - I mean, if she's really keeping you from your baby, then tell the judge. - Yeah. - If you go and post this on Instagram, I hope you posted it while you were on your way to the courthouse 'cause if you're not actually gonna do something about it, if you're not actually gonna fight for the right to see your child or be in their life, then I don't care that she's keeping you from the baby sounds to me that she's keeping you from the baby for a damn good reason. And you might not want to go to court because then them text messages and phone calls and whatever else are gonna come out. And the judges don't be like, oh yeah. You cannot go around threatening her family members or her or whoever else and think that you just then don't have access to this small child. Like you don't get to act like that. Kids are better than that. So. But yeah, if you don't go to court, niggas who don't go to court but complain about what they baby mama will or will not let them do, y'all are not serious. - Yeah, that's always very fascinating to me. There's too many men who have fought for the kids to let you niggas lie with it. - Yeah, just go do something about that. Because the comments on fucking shade room, Hollywood or mocked or whatever the fuck, like none of them niggas can get your baby. Why are you? - Right. - Right, tell the judge. Well, Rihanna's back to her subtle Instagram, social media shading antics after. EJ Johnson made a comment about her being late to a show in Paris Fashion Week and the show starting an hour late because she was late. And he basically made the comment that we didn't care to wait for her, but it's fine. Like the show was great regardless. It was very much just like him and his like, Kenya Moore wig and he's clearly just talking about Fashion Week. You know, going about with his DJI, Mike in his hand and just like, oh, you know, here's what this is, man, that is. So didn't feel like it was directed at Rihanna or this is about Rihanna. He was talking about the show and how it started late and here's what it started late. - Gotcha. - Not long after that, there were reports on Instagram that he got blocked from entering a hotel after posing for paparazzi like moments after that happened. Rihanna responded to this report and just put damn with countless replies. It has now become her latest social media comment mean. - Gotcha. - Damn. - I mean, that is very Rihanna. I get it. If I was DJI would also be probably a little frustrated. I mean, I personally stood in line for over an hour to get into culture car. So I kind of get it. I get being annoyed by a massive delay. but. Yeah, this was this past week in here in New York, and I heard that they, you know, fixed things, got it tightened up, got more security added so the lines weren't as bad on Sunday, but on Saturday, it was fucking miserable. So I get that at the same time, if Dior delayed their show so that Rihanna didn't miss it, then I think that says more about how Rihanna is simply that bitch than anything else, because I know she's one of their spokespeople, but if they were like, yeah, we'll wait till she gets here, then at that point, you got to take it up with the brand. I wouldn't even brought Rihanna's name to it because once they wait for her, hello again, this didn't feel like it was an attack on Rihanna as much as it was a comment of the show that he went to. The show started an hour late, it started an hour late because Rihanna was an hour late. We can care it away for her. The show is what it is. I'm sure he was not the only bitch in there that was like, don't care it away for this hoey either, but at least the show was spears, but at the same time, I initially reacted the same way you did. I was like, if I was there, I would probably be a bit frustrated, but at the same time, how fear says it was like all of you bitches. You can simply wait editors, reporters, models, models, industry execs, all you bitches are going to see here and wait for Rihanna to get here tough. Yeah. That's pretty concy. It is. It is. But you're right. It's not like EJ attacked Rihanna and even Rihanna only said damn, like, huh. Yeah. I mean, but we know we know I thought you was going to talk about that video of her when they asked if she had lost her, her accent and she went immediately into I don't want to get it wrong. I won't, I won't imitate the accent since all of you let me know very vocally and multiple times last week that my Jamaican accent is indeed that bad, so I would okay her accent. She's not Jamaican. Well, no, but I'm not even going to try to do her accent. I'm not because y'all are quite different. Yes, but anyway, she immediately was, she went into her dialect to let y'all know that she hadn't lost shit, but yeah, her accent all the time. Right. Right. I mean, you know, she, she codes, which is like a lot of us do, but when she's comfortable and at home, I'm sure she just be flowing. But if you do not want to hear me in Oklahoma, around all of them, Oklahoma, it's a real 20 year round. The same way my Jamaican accent comes out when I'm at home, like I speak Potswab more so what I'm at home. Right. So this is what it is. That's like I hear her accent all the time. There was this, there was this funny clip of the show lanterns on HBO, which stars Aaron Piers is great. That's Mufasa. Yes, that's Mufasa. You know, Niggas still don't realize that he's British. Well, Niggas are still finding out that he's British. Oh, I'm niggas. I just learned this right now. What? How was it? Was it, did I know that and forget it? You didn't know Aaron Piers, that's Mufasa's British? You know, I've probably heard him speak, but I don't think it just, I don't think it really clopped to me that he's British. I don't think so. I think that's probably not paying that much attention because he's fine. I'd rather look at him. That's fair. So he is on this show lanterns on HBO where he's playing a superhero and there's the scene where he's like interrogating someone or something. Obviously, the character is black American. The writing is actually really, really good in that aspect, like all together. And it's also very specific to blackness in that character in many ways, skin tone, skin color, all of that shit. Shout out to Vanessa Kelly. I know she was run out of writers in that room and that probably explains why that part's legitimate. But anyway, all that to say, there's a scene where they're interrogating someone and he goes, "Speak up!" Like his accent comes out for half a second and they kept it, they kept that saying which I thought was so funny. And Niggas posted it was like, "Yeah, he's absolutely British and here you can hear it come out. Speak up!" But yeah, accents and things, they happen and Rihanna, I hear her all the time and I always think it's adorable because he's like, "She's not interested in losing her accent." Right. Kids. It's probably that EJ said we didn't care to wait for her. That's probably what got people agitated because I think he had just left it. The show started in an hour late because Rihanna was late but it was beautiful nonetheless. I don't think people would have, it wouldn't have turned into so much of a thing but we didn't care to wait for her. It's like, "Oh well, but you did though, didn't you?" But you sat there twiddling your thumbs and looking for some popcorn or whatever the hell else, scrolling on TikTok until she got there. So. Okay. Remember when La Rocha and Naomi Campbell were at Fashion Week and they did that video afterwards when Rihanna came out. I don't remember if she was late or if she just came out last, but she came out and it's like beautiful white dress and her titties were all up and high and La Rocha and Naomi Campbell did a video outside of it and we're like, "We don't come to the show with our titties and our chachis out." Oh wow. Very demure. It is, yeah, I see. Well, good luck, because I'm sure people took that as shade as well. I don't even know if him being stopped outside of a hotel or wherever he was going and has anything to do. It's very likely as I haven't even been able to do it that. Okay. I wouldn't be surprised if it has everything to do with EJ Johnson just looking like EJ Johnson and being in pairs. Yeah, probably so. Raven Simone has told the internet that she's obsessed with wearing a diaper when she's on her period. I'm obsessed with the menstrual cycle diaper, she said on her podcast. She said, "Shut up to the rug rats. She wears a diaper all day with a little baby tea and a binky in her mouth. I'm thriving." She joked on her podcast with her white wife. Mentional cycle diapers, a thing. Well, I know there's period underwear that you can just bleed into and it is very absorbent. I did not know there were diapers so to say, but I guess that makes sense. I don't even think that I don't care about because a lot of people are choosing different ways to manage their cycle. It's more of the I wear a little baby tea shirt and a binky and run around the house and my diaper. Was that a joke? Did you say that? Definitely. She's just joking. Oh, okay. All right. I'm thinking silly about how to say. We'll say, "Oh, let's get a psyche ball in here." She's being silly about the diaper part, period. Okay. Okay. I guess some people on the internet are acting like this is an overshare or I don't know. Maybe some people who aren't familiar with it feel like it's silly or whatever. When I read this, two things came to mind. Raven, share in a lot again and be diapers. That makes sense. Yeah. It really does. I know they give freshly postpartum mothers, they give them some extra strength diapers when they don't because you're bleeding a lot after you bring a life into the world. It makes sense that they make those for regular periods too. I have never seen them on the shelves in the way and read or whatever, but I'm not shocked that they exist and I really don't care what you use as long as you're not free bleeding and all over the train, bitch, do whatever you want to with your pussy in your period. I could not care less. So. As a period, some periods are more intense or have. Oh, yes. Right. Yes. And I see here that she said she didn't like the period underwear because it wasn't absorbed enough for her. So that lets me know her period probably be beating her ass, so you do whatever you need to, girl. I'm very, very fortunate that it seems like overnight. My period just decided it was going to be three days with minimal cramps and. You work. That truly feels like a blessing. It feels like a privilege to be like, "Oh, yeah, my period." I guess there you go. Like that? Ugh. I'm sorry, girls. I don't want to brag, but uh, yeah, I mean, I can see people being like she's over-sharing, but I also think it's good to decrease menstruation stigma and things around it because. Completely agree. There are a lot of people who have really heavy, terrible periods, fibroids. I shouldn't even say women because it's all kinds of people who have those parts. So, you know, and a lot of people that their period destabilizes them. So, again, whatever you need to do, whatever you need to do, girl. Thank you. Thank you. I honestly, I feel the same way. I was gonna say to you I feel like the people who might have thought over sharing in this case are probably say people who don't like On somebody like breastfeed a public. Yeah, yeah, okay, girl. I keep them for myself Okay, but that's Raven Simone and her talking about it might make somebody who's struggling with really heavy periods Realize it. There's another option out there because I am at big 44 and did not know those existed So right and maybe there's someone else who does also wear a diaper for their period and is like for some like maybe embarrassed or shy about it Right, like anybody else doing this. Oh, yes. Yes, that makes me think of that girl She's an actress she played in Wicked she played the disabled character What is her? Oh, I don't remember her name. I know you're talking about though. Yeah, I want to say her name is Marissa or something like that Yeah, Marissa boat or Boate I just saw a video from her on TikTok because you know, she's disabled and she talks about how She wears boxers, but underneath her boxer she wears a diaper because in continents and that sort of thing and it's the that's that is So useful and so helpful for you know somebody who's recognizable like that to talk about using products like that again to Decrease the stigma and the shame that people might feel for needing products like that. So I Baby, I thought she was regressing to toddler and when she was on her period So I'm like, oh, let's call somebody with an MD behind their neck But never mind you good Miranda gets my formula and make sure it's warm. Okay You're very like you know, we don't like pepper and don't do that This is my last one. I don't know who this person de ventures But this person has upset folks Indeed apparently DaVinci was on Cam Newton's podcast and began to talk about Americans and the difference I guess in growing up as Someone who is who has like a Haitian family because he said he was born in America How's it he might have been first generation or something? Yeah, he was born in Brooklyn, but his people are Haitian and So he just sort of described his upbringing is in this sort of like elitist way like Well, you know, I When I was at home, it was Haiti and everything else outside of that was America and I was self-sufficient eight years old and the work ethic of Americans is like poor and It's low effort or whatever some shit like that. So basically just going off on this tirade of how Americans are lazy and poor We need to get over slavery all of this other type of shit And like not me because my family Haitian There was a woman named Sunset Monet who I believe she's a host on Afro TV You could probably just look up her name Sunset Monet Video, yeah Everything I feel like that needs to be said she said it and she's also Haitian American right Pist live it. Oh, she was I rate Right, oh, she was mad. I feel her. She was pissed Someone's first generation Jamaican I definitely have people around me growing up who had this idea of like oh, well black Americans such and such versus them and a lot of times it was more it was kind of like Respectability politics shit like what you wear and you know, the Monique of it all But I don't it never anything about like labor work Like my my family parents especially hit me with the same you black this America Nice your family ain't even from here We have accents This bitch is not set up for you. So what we're gonna do is And I think that's why I'm so much of a her to write in the nigger as opposed to like my younger brothers I went to public school they're in magnet program and I was so I was so aware Endowed into racism and colorism and I was so connected to The messaging from my family that was like you you are gonna have to work three times it's hard Yes So by the time I was in like Early middle school you can say nothing to me about blackness American Jamaican or otherwise Yeah, cuz I was on at AS and I gravitated more towards black American people like myself Because I'm just like we on the same type of timing. So I never really felt Division yes, my household was Jamaican. My grandpa's house was Jamaican the food the music the TV everything Yeah, yeah But I wasn't raised in this state in in this mind state of like well Black Americans are to disadvantage or whatever they can't advance cuz they po and their work ethics It's such it's such just like that was never That was never the deal at all. It was more so like you know, I don't know you got on flip flops of pajamas And even that I'll be like wrong who cares? A lot of black people subscribe to like you need to perform a certain way or look a certain way in order to be acceptable or good enough So I'm not shocked that black immigrants have that attitude because a lot of people do period But I do think it's it's worth talking about and I'm glad to see the conversation happening of like a lot of us Internalized or even just learn these messages from our parents and we never actually question them or where they came from and instead We just go around acting like Everything about our upbringing was right or good or that our parents and grandparents and whoever else just absolutely knew what they were talking about when a Lot of the times they told us some something that was pure bullshit like complete bullshit because Bragging about being completely self-sufficient at eight is actually extremely tragic and I don't understand How you can be like oh well, you know y'all lazy y'all do this and that maybe you were selling drugs in the 5th grade and getting arrested Home invasions and shit like is this the Is this the childhood the rest of us were supposed to aspire to like it's just interesting that you can he it doesn't seem that he's been able to parse you know the difference between being proud of your heritage and where you come from and Shitting on other people for not being that because you think that distinguishing yourself as Haitian American is going to stop these white people from treating you like you a niggas But you never question that you don't interrogate that you just go right along with it and then you go on cam Newton's podcast That's another certified jump ass and say this Say this extremely stupid shit and then you wonder why black Americans are like well, fuck you. Well, then fuck you So we're lazy and raggedy and we're too stuck on Slavery and that's why LGBTQ relationships are more accepted than interracial relationships because black people can't get over the The history of the slavery and all this which if you want to date your white girl, just do that niggas Yeah, like just do that, but this the if you are so much better than black Americans then Then then then why are you playing black American roles for the past seven years? Who is this person? He was on Grownish. He's an actor. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's an actor. I don't know why isn't he made like R&B music Well, he might because you know niggas do be doing that, but he's named DaVinci He was on bmf and all American right. Why are you Haitian calling yourself DaVinci? That's another excellent question I make a name is Abraham Yeah, it makes more sense. Right. So He's been around for a while. It's not somebody who you know name or face. I would have automatically recognized But I knew enough about him to where I heard about this. I was like yet another I mean, you're you're black American and an immigrant and you're from Brooklyn with me like I'm so If any One place in America is full of all different kinds of niggas. It's Brooklyn And you just never thought huh, maybe Maybe everything that I was taught wasn't you know completely accurate Maybe I need to unlearn some things or at the very least not publicly shit on the people who without whom I would not have a career Well, my grandmother and my mother moved from Jamaica. They moved to Brooklyn. My parents, my mother and her mom lived in Brooklyn first. Yes. Yes. And I still have tons of family in Brooklyn. No one out was ever like, "Man, these lazy black people." It was just like, "Whoa, we all out here making away." Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Right. And if anything, like I said, I feel like sometimes they felt like they might have been a notch behind because they were immigrants. So it was like, my family, when I wanted to start working, or actually I got my first job when I was 15 and I was working at same time. Same thing. And my dad made me quit like after three months. He didn't like the fact that I got the job here. Oh wow. And then he made me quit because he was like, you need to focus on school. You're 15 years old. You don't really need to be earning money for anything right now. Stay focused on school. Maybe in a couple years than yes, but you don't have to be leaving like high school to go and flip burgers. You-- Wow. Focus on school work. I wanted to work because I wanted a job. Like I thought it would be fun to have a job, make a little money. I don't have to ask you for an iPod. Yeah, free walk. Booby-Doo-Boo-Boo-Boo. My mom was like, "Yes, he wants to work. This is great." He's, you know, God. My dad was like, no. No, he just the-- all he needs to focus on right now is school work. So like laziness to me is interesting because my Jamaican Jamaican Jamaican-ass daddy wasn't like, yeah, get out there and start earning money and whatever. Very much. The lawn, that grass is looking bushy, bitch. Very much. We have that much. We have this set up, this Toyota Good Girl friend. We know that shit. Yeah. That were hurricane. Would you go shutters? But just thinking of black Americans as lazy, to me, it's wild. Again, like you said, especially being that you are black American and hey, Shed, they're from Brooklyn. Right. What happened? Like I have to guess that the household shit talking was bad. It was bad, yeah. Yeah, they was shitting on black Americans, but at no point did you think, "Huh, y'all shitting on me." If being black American is so terrible, why did they come here to have you here? I think that you also hit it as well when you say, like, not questioning things they say. Because there were some things that I heard my family say, not even just about other people or black people. It was just some shit that I heard them say that I was like, I don't make no sense. That's known foolish or I hear the ism, phobia coming out. I didn't adopt every single thing that I heard family or close people in my life. Yeah. Man, do you want to? All I hear is you back me, you're trying to dig a hole into blood. Would you like to get out? She said, "Why don't you mind your business the same way she's minding hers." Thank you so much. Yeah, though. I do think that there are situations where my fuckers are not questioning the things they say, but it makes me wonder, when you do go out into the world, like you said, and it's not hating it's America, what's it giving them in? Like are you just going around and seeing black Americans as just being like, you bitches are lazy as fuck. It was changing on an alternator or transmission when I was seven. Yeah, you was also doing home invasions. So again, I don't aspire to have had your childhood, but my black American fan, I don't remember a bunch of, or really any anti-African or anti-Caribbean sentiment, but lazy was absolutely last thing I was allowed to be. I had to work. It was not optional. I absolutely had to work. I had a job before I had a car because like I said, I started working at 15, too. And my mom and daddy was like, yeah, if you want a car, you're going to have to have a job because you're going to have to pay for the insurance and put gas in that bitch. So guess what? And I've been working ever since. So the lazy, to hear you say that, it really makes me wonder how your family talked about white people for you to be repeating this shit about black Americans. Like did they talk about white people ever? Did anybody acknowledge institutional racism and oppression and how slavery must have affected the black people who were here? Like, was there any smoke at all for the people who actually committed these atrocities? Or y'all just took it all out on us. It's just you 30, though, bro. So you can't be going around on podcast saying shit like this and think, ain't nobody going to have nothing to say about it. That's going to be it for the hot tops this week. We're going to go ahead and take a really quick break. I'm going to come back and read your letters. All right, Niggas friends, slurs. We are back. It is time now to read your letters. Indeed. Please send your questions to [email protected]. We may read them aloud on the show. We do have an update this week from DJ. If you remember a couple of weeks back, DJ emailed us about their brother and how the brother was like going through a divorce from a real shitty woman, but kept posting about it on Instagram. It was affecting custody and all this right. So DJ said, hello again. I'd first like to say how cathartic both my sister and I found your response to my letter. We've been feeling a little crazy and like we both been doing too much and not enough for him. So it was just nice to hear an outside perspective. We had the group call and it did not go exactly as planned, of course. We were able to bring up our concerns about his posting online, but he fully shut down when I asked, so because she hurt you, you feel justified act and wild on the internet. Then we got to the deeper issues and his mental health is not good right now. So we have to pivot to some emergency emergency management. We found out that he has stopped taking his antidepressants. So getting back on those is going to be step number one. I guess our emotional intervention worked in a way because he wasn't being honest with us about where he was at. And now we can at least direct our energy in a more helpful way. It was good to get a more accurate assessment of where he's actually at instead of just assuming based on what he offered to us in conversation and his online activity. Please say hi to your docs for me. I love when one of them decides to get Malve on the podcast. Thanks, DJ. Hey girl, they say hi. I'm not waking her up for that, but yeah, thank you, DJ. And yeah, stop in your antidepressants. Not a great idea. I was about to say that girls, not a great idea. Very bad idea. Very, very, very bad idea. If you feel like there is a real reason that you don't want to take the myth. But any reason that you feel like not taking antidepressants anymore needs to be discussed with a doctor, preferably the doctor that prescribes you the medication because you can't just stop taking them. It is not safe. It is not safe. Yeah, don't do that. You don't do that. Right. Don't don't do that. I didn't even stop taking mine. I just stop taking them as consistently briefly. It was like for two weeks. I was like, Oh, I'll take it every other day. You know, just whatever, blah, blah, blah, baby. Eventually, that shit hit me. And I was like, I was like, why am I sleeping for nine, 10 hours and still waking up tired? Why am I dragging ass all day? Why can't I motivate myself? I said, Oh, that little pill. Your girl actually needs that little pill. I think you with sometimes when you've been on a medication for a while, you might forget that like that shit is actually doing something. Or if your if your new baseline feels so familiar, you might be like, oh, this ain't even doing nothing. Oh, baby, but it is. It really is. It's doing something. It's it's it's doing something. Yeah, all a fair in your body. It is. So when you sit. Stop. Yeah, your body goes. What? Right. Bitch. If I go a total of two days. Oh, I cannot play. I cannot. There will be no getting out of the bed. And it will be my inner saboteur on the outside, going, you ain't shit, bitch. And you knew you weren't shit. You bitch. It's just like and legitimately, there are times where I wake up and I just feel so bullshit. It's so sad. And I'm like, I'll take my man's last night. I did not take my man's. Yeah. It's just don't do it. Don't do it. If you feel like you'd stop or change. Yes. Get a doctor to help you do it. It's like that. You can't stop taking men. Don't just take it yourself off, bro. Do not get expert assistance help or how to do that. It's not safe. Yes. But good on her. Our good on you. I'm sorry. Yeah. And I'm glad. Yeah, because woof. Let me tell you, I will never play that game again. I don't know how some of y'all do that on a regular basis. I will never play like that again. Different. Different. Oh, I felt I felt wretched. And then I had to when I started taking it regularly again, it was like I had started taking it for the first time. So like Trent Alex can cause like stomach upset. And they like make feeling nausea and all this and I was like let me starting back at square god damn What I'm never doing that again. Oh, yes. That's a great point to your body be like well What is that it's a bullshit right now? I'm gonna deal with those symptoms again. Yeah Yeah, you wanted to play games. Oh, yeah, and I have a master's degree at mental health counseling I fully know better and I still play Oh, I'll have it to the best. That was a good luck moving forward. All right, let's get into our first letter this week It comes from Let's start with Mars So Mars says back in 2018 I became good friends with Janelle and ever since then I've been there through her many many many Life challenges everything from ain't shit family members losses in her family and all of her manipulative As friends even being states away I've always done my best as a friend to give her a listening ear my advice on certain situations and even a couple Dollars here and there and up until now we've never had any major issues In June, I lost two family members two weeks apart one of which was my favorite cousin and I didn't hear one damn word from Janelle about it In fact while I was at the hospital after receiving the news She sent me 15 voice messages on how the girl she was dealing with had her so fucked up I didn't listen or respond a couple days pass and Janelle hit me back with more drama and bullshit that I quite frankly did not have the capacity to deal with After the two funerals the messages and drama continued and Janelle continued to reach out to me for help and advice Never once sending condolences or even acknowledging what I was going through and I started to feel some type of way I didn't want to quote unquote beg for sympathy, so I tried to see things from her perspective But then I remembered that she has been in the exact same situation where she's lost people she was close to within a short time However, while she was grieving I was there for her and checking in on her very often and doing what I could Typically, I'll let something like this just roll off my back, but since I valued our friendship I thought that if I sent her a message about how her actions or lack thereof made me feel it would help her realize how hurt I was I ended the message by saying that I know my feelings aren't facts, but I needed her to understand how she made me feel before it turned into resentment 10 hours later Janelle finally responded saying that death is a sensitive topic and she was taught never to bring it up because it could trigger someone but she did apologize I never responded because I still felt some type of way and I didn't think that conversation needed to be prolonged or turned into an argument Two weeks later, I went to our messages hoping to let her know that I wasn't mad at her and I didn't think that it was like a friendship ending conversation or anything But before I hit sin something told me to check her social media That's when I found out that she had unfollowed and removed me on every app and that really enraged me Instead of cousin her the fuck out, I simply blocked her on everything Do y'all think I'm wrong for not responding to her message to me? Should I just let this friendship die? I'm not sure what to do. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks for all you do Mars Hmm That's something told me to go look at her social media footage You know she know you right both y'all get there y'all know each other We see each um Do I think you were wrong for not responding to her message the one about Dealing with her speaking about death or being taught not to mm-hmm um I don't know if you were wrong But I don't feel like you have to respond to any fun thing You know what I respond to to be honest with you, but I Would have yeah, I would have personally and as crystal was reading this I did Bookmark you know responding to what she said But then be hitting back at me like well now I want to have the conversation again, right on my time. Yeah So I completely understand why you felt some type of way initially. I kind of also understand why she feels some type of way That she said what she said to you and you and I should right. I do think That this is a situation that could have just been talked out It's salvageable for sure y'all gonna have to stop the social media Back and forth of it the You know all of that stuff but Ultimately, I think that She's Janelle No, this is Mars right Janelle's the friend right. I think that Janelle saying to you that she wasn't taught or she was taught not to speak about death and things like that to me I would have been More not even just understanding yes But I also would have wanted to have a conversation with her about that if we're friends friends I think I would want to have a conversation about why you weren't Why you were taught not to speak about death outside of it's just like oh, it could be triggering for someone or you know upset them It was just be something I want to have not even like An inspection or interrogation about but I think I would just be like oh, okay Then this kind of explain stuff like let's to chat about that. Why how did that manifest? Into other parts of your life or whatever But hearing what Didn't sound like a bull should excuse and then being like Man, but then it's like well now I want to talk to you And then being surprised she's like girl. I don't want to talk to anything and in fact I don't want to see you I think it just makes sense to you now the next step I Guess it would just be reaching out to her and being like all right let's Let's go down to the Penaer bread Get a bowl or two And let's have us the conversation we should have been have oh, yes Let's get a bread bowl with this soup and talk about it. I haven't had it in age. It's been a long time I heard Penaer is different now that it got bought out by them private equity people So I heard it's not even the same, but it's been a maybe as well here about it no more maybe so Because baby anyway, that was 15 years ago I think I agree like I see why at first that would have been very off-putting to me that you didn't bring up nothing about my family members But her saying you know, I was taught not to bring up dev I think that would have I would not have been so angry I think at that point I would have been like oh, I get it because you were probably taught to do the exact opposite That's why when her people died you kept bringing up and maybe she should have said something to you like Oh, I would appreciate it if you didn't is actually being very triggering for me or whatever like Maybe something like that should have been communicated, but after she apologized I do think that a You know maybe just I appreciate that Yeah, I'm gonna you know, I appreciate you saying that I didn't realize that and you know I'll hit you up in a couple of days or something like something like that. Just some sort of acknowledgment of her apology right Some kind of acknowledgement of her apology two weeks later. Yeah, I would have I would have felt some type of way too I definitely I don't know that I would have you know unfollowed you or blocked you or whatever But I'm not really shocked that she did and yeah, and so when you realize she had unfollowed you on all the apps You didn't say nothing to her about it. You didn't You blocked their like okay, yeah Do you want to be first? It sounds like you was ready for that shit to pull up right Damn yeah, so I do I won't say you were wrong for not responding, but I think it's what led to this like you even said you didn't respond because you still felt some type of way and she It's very possible that she was like you still feeling some type of way after I apologize like Take it two weeks to text me back like what even is that I mean she probably don't even know that it took two weeks because you never actually did Texter so far she you know, you still man Oh, I don't think you handled it in the most mature way. I don't think she did either but I think you were less mature and As far as letting the friendship die I Mean all you can do is try to text her or try to call her she She might have you she might have noticed that you have her blocking so now she has you blocked and so y'all just Are never gonna get anywhere. Yeah, I'm feeling bad Yeah, but I heard her her but her reply was reasonable like it was it really was that is a sensitive topic Some people would rather talk about any fucking thing else. So yeah Yeah, you I would have fully just been like oh But like you said even if I still felt some type of way it would and I think it would have been better to even just be like I Hear what you saying I accept your apology Let's talk next week or right whatever something let's get together. Yes face-to-face and spend some time. Yes. Yeah You didn't want to seem like you were begging for sympathy, but all you had to say was, "Hey, I just lost one of my cousins. I don't want to talk about the hose you fucking." Like, I want to talk about my cousins who just died or my two family members who just died. Like, had you said something? I think maybe then she would have been able to shift into supporting you the way that you wanted to be supported. But yeah, it's just a few things here that if they had been approached differently, we probably would have never ended up here. But yeah, all you could do is reach out and see Mars, but I wouldn't be surprised if she's not open to it at this point, 'cause hell, it by now has probably been a couple of months that you haven't spoken to this girl. So she might be truly over it. And I'm like, how we don't know that there is something deeper connected to what she told you. Yeah. Like, how do you know that there wasn't a death in the family or some sort of traumatic situation in the family that led to this, that she might still be feeling some type of way about and she tells you and then she doesn't hear anything from you. Right. That's why I would have wanted to talk about it. Yeah. But good luck, Mars, with whatever you decide to do. Let us know if you decide to reach out and she hits you back or, you know, whatever. Our next question comes from, this person has a very, very distinguishable name, so I'm gonna call them something else, 'cause I think probably people could just Google you and find this. So this comes from Blaine, who says, I was dating my boyfriend Drew for about six months before Shit Went South. We've actually known each other for 17 years and he started off as my music producer. We stayed in touch a bit over the years, but during COVID, we started a relationship. It was very toxic and we finally broke it off a few years ago. However, over the past nine months, we've been getting back in touch. He promised me that he got into therapy to deal with his ego and toxic masculinity, which was a big problem for us. But within the past two weeks, I found out he was cheating and going back and forth with his baby mama. He told me that she lived several states over, but she's actually just across the bridge about a 20 minute drive from my house. So I aired him out on Instagram with my music as promo on the post. Well, that really pissed him off and he couldn't take it. He came to my, he came to my house and charged through the door and now he has been arrested and he is locked up. I grew up. What I didn't realize is that Florida was going to throw the book at him and now he's facing a felony. I'm questioning whether I can get him a lesser sentence because he does have kids who shouldn't be hurt by this. But I also have friends telling me that he did all this to himself and it was his own actions that got him here. My question is, should I just let it be and let the courts decide his fate or should I speak up and see if they would drop one of the charges if I vouch for him for the sake of his children? Thanks, Blaine. - Okay, Blaine. You said that your friend said that he did this to himself and his own actions and stuff. I think we're friends. I think friends and girls. (laughing) - Yeah. This person got upset because of your social media antics. Granted, you quote unquote airing him out on social media and the pettyness of using the music. As curious and entertaining as that. - Yeah, I love that. - Caused for someone to get very upset. - Yeah. - Not caused for someone to pull up to your residence and bust in your shoe. Now, to the idea of the sentiment of like, "Oh, but his children don't deserve to whatever." That's on him. Like, he needed to feel that way about his children. - Okay. - So you now try to get involved in the court. Baby, I don't want them to call me for jury duty. I'm not going down there to do a fuck thing if I don't have to. (laughing) So you having sympathy for his children when he didn't consider them is wild, especially when the crime was committed against you. - I agree. 100%. - I don't know what. - Anyhow. - This one? - Yeah, I would absolutely. I was trying to think of a petty or a thing to do, but nothing's coming to mind right now. All I'm saying is I would not be speaking to a judge to do a fuck thing for him. At best, I'd say a prayer and be like, you know, God, you know, do what you will for those innocent babies. Amen. - I mean, again, right. 'Cause if he was had devoted of a father, he would have thought twice before running and charging through somebody's door. Like, that's a crime and you know that? - Yeah. - Yeah. - So this isn't an adult man in Florida? - Right. Exactly. - Let's be serious. - Let's be serious. So I agree with everything if he said, the only thing I will add is that if you go in there and try to advocate for this man and get a drop to a misdemeanor or whatever else, he gonna do worse than charging through the door next time. - There's that. - I wouldn't, I simply wouldn't blame. - There's never a day. Your friends who said, girl, drop the charges when he the one who wrecked your shit, knocked your door off the hinges. What was he coming to do? Have a cup of tea and talk things over peacefully. I don't think so. I promised you he was in therapy to deal with his ego on toxic masculinity. What the fuck happened to that? Let this nigga go before things get much worse. Please, I'm actually begging you. He played around. You know who don't do shit like that? People who have soul custody of their children and something to lose. So. - Most of the time. - Well, okay, that's fair, that's fair. Yeah, most of the time. People who, yeah, don't want to be separated from their children, don't do things that would separate them from their children. - You know, sometimes as crystal likes to say, sometimes you just gotta find out that me. It's great. - Sometimes. - Some fucking times. Sometimes you just gotta chew on that little piece of brisket and realize that I ain't going nowhere. So. Like that you define it. - If you buddy say, I know it's old and I know I've heard it like my whole life is just one of those things that's always gonna be funny to me. - Mm-hmm. 'Cause why do I have to show you that? - Why do I have to show you? - Right. - And she said, "That is a crime." - And you know that. That's never been legal. You, it's never been like "It's not a new law." - It's not a new law. (laughing) - They didn't just make that up. (laughing) - Man. - That's not even a felony for a long, long time. - Long time. - You know, I wish I could get into the mind of some of you who look directly in the face of an ain't shit nigga. And they're like, I can help. - Yep. (laughing) - Why? - I can't do something like this. I can mold this. 'Cause like Rissa said, it's all you go drop these charges, get him a lesser sentence or get him a slap on the wrist and then he's gonna be like, well, I am rehabilitated and I love respect. (laughing) - No, he gon' come slap you on the wrist and everywhere else, he gon' come knock the fuck out of you. I would not play those games, baby. Let the law have him. Yeah, yeah. But best of luck to you, please take care of yourself and don't do one fucking thing on behalf of this man. - All right. (laughing) This next letter, this just cracks me up. This one comes from Naomi and it says, "Hey, Chris Link, if you're in, I met my friend Mary five years ago at a concert and we have been super cool ever since. Mary is 35 and married with two kids and has been in a transitional phase for the past two years. Getting married and having kids in her 20s has left her trying to figure out who she is and her 30s, which is completely normal. Now me, on the other hand, I'm 37, kid and husband free, so I work and do whatever I want because that's the life I made for myself. (laughing) Mary and I have had little disagreements here and there and sometimes she's a hard friend to have because she takes everything personal. Now Mary has decided to join the church and she has been heavy on the church life for a couple years. Recently I met Mary and her church friends for brunch. We hadn't hung out much lately, so I decided I would attend, but it was a regular black brunch spot, not a churchy spot. Things were fine at first. I guess she said that just to let us know that like the most is we're on the table, okay? - Yeah. - It was a coffee fight. - Important things change. - I hate it. Things were fine at first, but as conversations were flowing, I noticed that Mary is not really a very honest person with herself or with others. She's going through a divorce and has been open with me and other friends about being attracted to women, so I asked her when she starts dating if she'll date women. She acted as though that question was so obscure and so crazy so I was a little bit thrown off and then I realized that she must not talk about her attraction to women with her church friends. I wouldn't have cared either way, but her reaction was almost like she was disgusted and totally against it. She was like, "Oh, I'm not attracted." a woman like that and said she wouldn't want to expose her kids to that. I'm a completely straight woman. But this irritated me because she came off so fake and I hate people who do that and then she had the nerve to bring up the church and how it's not right to express acts of homosexuality. Then the next day she texted me trying to be cool but checked me by saying I need to be careful asking questions around others because she doesn't share everything with all her friends and I should read the room. Am I wrong for asking questions about her being open to dating women around other people who she always hangs out with and would it be petty for me to distance myself because I feel like she has become a fake person for the sake of being close to the church. I just don't like when grown people don't live in their truth and I'm not about to walk around and help you fake your life. Please give me some advice because I'm so turned off this friendship right now. Thanks Naomi. So Naomi I um layers I think I think it's completely fine and normal for you to say a friendship's run its course. I'm not because if you're ultimately saying like I don't care for the way that this person shows up I feel like a lot of this shit is fake. I'm just not enjoying this. I think it's something that is okay to just take a step back from but it also sounds like it's worth having a conversation. Right. Um if you're going to get to that place. Yeah. Um and I understand the frustration that you're expressing based on all of the things that you've described. Do I think that it was wrong for you to bring up her liking girls with her friends is hanging out hangs out with all the time. Not necessarily. Right. But if she were to let me know that she didn't want that to happen I'd just be like okay girl. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. Well I don't think it was anything wrong with bringing it up because like you said Mary has talked about it around friends so there was no reason to think that was a secret. Right. And when you say I should read the room it's like girl a lot of church people are gay or have gay friends. It's very that's a very dated idea that just because you go to church you're homophobic. So I wouldn't have automatically assumed your church friends were homophobic. I just wouldn't have but if you don't want me to bring it up fine I'll take that like you can say that but for you to I think Mary's reaction to oh okay well since you getting divorced you know like are you going to be open to dating women her being like oh I don't even do that. That's so wrong to express acts of homicide like you know that's not even how you feel like that kind of lying and then shitting on gay people and all that that would make me not want to be your friend. It's more like like are you not being your full self around your church friends you're not telling me the truth about who you are like you that's your choice if that's what you want to do but it's just kind of like I the lady doth protest too much this all that's so nasty. Oh, I wouldn't even do that. I don't even like coup d'acat. Oh my god gay. They're the worst gay like girl. Right I'm not attracted to women like that. I wouldn't expose my children to that. Okay that's not what you said three weeks ago when we was at the club and you was kissing holes in the corner like right. You're being quite weird um but expose your kids to it like what are you like it's anthrax like it'll kill them. So no I don't think you were wrong for asking questions because it's not like it was a secret or it's not like you knew it was supposed to be a secret right and I also don't think it's bet it's petty for you to distance yourself although I do think when you're like I don't like when grown people don't live and they truth and I'm not gonna help you fake your life like coming out is more complicated than that. So I think maybe your attitudes toward that is you're so straight that you don't really maybe you don't understand that it is a lot more complicated than just coming out for a lot of people but the way I think if I were married I would have been like girl I am not dating a woman and then texted you or something if I wasn't comfortable having that conversation with the charged girls but the way she reacted and you know her blaming you like read the room like bitch I was supposed to know you was lying to the room. I was supposed to know that. So like girl I'm not dating a woman girl but I have to go to the bathroom you want to come with me. Your order is surely terrible. Yeah, surely. Bitch. Why is you telling all these hoes? Bitch these is the Bible study hoes. I don't know. I know they was like that. I agree. So yeah I think that like it's fair to be like oh the way that you've reacted to this is gross or the feeling of you faking your whatever faking your life right. It has a lot to do with the way that that was communicated. Yeah yeah exactly but as Chris will say coming out being open about whatever your sexual identity is is more complicated than just being like oh yes girl I can't wait to e-box right. You know at the chilies. Yummy yum yum can't wait to be out here with the girls in my pride flag like yeah. But do you want to be friends with her. This is kind of like the other letter where it's like do you actually want to rekindle something with this girl or fix things because it sounds like she's getting more and more on your nerves. Yeah. And if she's slight going being more into the church is not a problem. Being more homophobic is that's but I understand you're straight so it probably don't affect you the same way it will be but that's where that would start to piss me off like girl. I love guy you look I was wrong with you like I get it I do but the rest of this no so I probably wouldn't even want to be that close with her no more if that's how she going at but again she's going through a lot she's getting divorced she had kids early she trying to figure out who she really is and all that like you said y'all are in two different places and so you know maybe she do want to go be one of the handmaids and just go knit and and talk about Ecclesiastes or whatever all day and she can make that choice for herself if she wants to it's just do you want to be around for it right all right good luck to you Naomi let us know what you decide to do we're going to wrap up the listener letters right there again if you have a question for us please do send us an email ask the [email protected] we'll be right back. What's up howdy this is girl making a sale educated high girl coach oh I'm getting so good at it okay so fast um we're back it's time for the read I'm going to start um I started this read on the latest episode of Fear of Slots and I said that I would talk about it so more here not that I I took a break on the podcast or segmented it in any way I just want to talk about it again okay I was walking link the other night you know her night poop why would you say good like that it's taking on her her night poop walk and I'm right across from the building there's a nice park right by me but nighttime I'm gonna walk her over you know through the park so I'm just walking along there was some sort of event that was going on I don't know might have been like a something nearby whatever through something going on so it's niggas in the street people coming in and out of garages nearby and whatnot as link is you know and one of the patches of grass sniffing about seeing if she could find a spot you know us dog mamas hyper aware oh yes hyper aware I mean I'm talking I'm damn near one of those cameras on top of the Waymo where I'm just like so creepy one false move so I'm looking ahead of me at this there's like a woman who's walking towards my direction but she stops because she lives I could tell she clearly lids in the building across from this across the street from us and next to me um and after I say can I notice that there's a dog with her but the only reason I could notice I could see that there was dog with her is because it had this collar that like lights up it was like a bright blue led collar or something yeah yeah um which I you know assume was because it's dark to help you see the dog I would not have seen the dog otherwise right now here's the issue I have with this the dog was not on a leash the dog was not on a leash the dog was a small dog like smaller than link oh wow so first of all I don't feel like my dog is saying, I don't give a fuck how big, small, kind, your dog may be every dog is sweet and cuddly and kind or whatever. It just take one bitch to look at them the wrong way or one day, one cent. And it's like, I'm not fucking with this bitch. It's mere you. It doesn't happen all the time, it doesn't happen often. But girl. I said, you know what, I cannot, me and Link were just standing there out there after she did her thing or whatever. I picked that shit up in the bag and we were just standing there waiting for this bitch to move because I'm like, I'm not getting close to you, you're not getting close to me. Now, I'm already tight. Why do I notice after a bit, she turns around, come on, then I see a little red light pulling up, a red collar, two dogs, both off leash, two small dogs, both of them off leash with these little glow sticks around, they got in there, oh my god, okay, bitch. So first of all, you're walking to these dogs off leash. If it was a middle of the day in the park, in the park, perhaps, because even I will take Link to the park sometimes take her off and just let her run around or get like a sniff spot. So she could just, you know what I'm saying? Do her whole Olympic sprint shit around in the grass. But even then, you know what I'm saying, if you're not in a dog area, a dog park, somewhere that's like designated for them to do that, I find it to be very just unsafe, not smart. I agree. It is nearly 10 p.m., it is dark, this is a residential street, it is also active tonight, so it's bitches on the road. You have, not only do you have one dog off leash, you have two small dogs off leash and you not even watching both of them, because I didn't even see the second dog, you had to turn around and tell the bitch to keep up and then run across the street with them. Are you stupid? I could barely see you, because to be honest with you, I feel like it might have been assistant. I couldn't tell if she was black, light-skinned, whatever, she was not a white woman. Okay, well, I could barely see you, bitch, I could barely see that dog. The first one, I damn sure didn't see the second dog until moments later. Do you think a cyber truck will see them? It's a Waymo program to stop if they see a dog with a mighty Morphin Power Rangers wristband around the neck. I wanted to fight this person, like I was enraged, because my dog is one thing, but you're not about to play well. Like let's be honest, I'm going before, no, you're going before either one of us. But if it's one of us two is going to be like, you're nothing's going to happen to my dog. But your dogs are also not safe. You are putting your animals in danger, and I don't care how well they are trained. Sure they know who is walking them and they following you, but they are not safe. Again, busy street, people coming and going at that time. How you know that you was going to turn around and red collar was just going to be gone. Yeah. If anything like Link or even Laney, somebody could have just been like, oh, hey, next thing you know, they around the block with your dog. I hate it, Crystal, I hate, I hate when people do this. I hate it. I did do. It burns my grits real bad. There isn't a reason for there's no need for it. You're not walking your dog on a leash is not a, it's not abuse. It's not slavery. You're guiding the dog through the walk. It is meant for you to keep them safe. Keep them in your space. Keep an eye on them, protect them and guide them and guard them. They are not walking you. You're not walking together. You are walking the dog. Yeah. Yeah. I was pissed. I was like, I know you don't think to be fucking burning man bracelets that you have around these bitches next is supposed to do a fucking for them. I hate you. I hate you. And I honestly said, I'm going to do this on both podcasts just because I hope that there is just a fraction of a chance that you go here to this. You stink, disgusted. Like you really thought that little things was doing something. If it was a big ass dog, still with a leash, right, but maybe it's a big dog and you have that around them too. And I've been like, that's a choice, but it's a larger dog easier for you to see. A dog that's like four or five inches tall. Do you want that dog? You're not acting like it. I had to like brighten myself up and remind myself that I was taking my childhood and joy as well so that she wouldn't feel my project. I was so annoyed. I wanted to go back inside. I was like, let's just let's spin the block and get back to what we're doing. To people who, when I'm out on the street, especially with my dog and I see other dog owners, just acting a fool, yeah, it it does things to me. Yes. And like I said, most of the time when I'm outside walking on my own, I'm not paying you but she's no mind because I have great headphones on. I get to like two now, a lot of the everyday average bullshit and fuckery because I'm here. When I'm walking link, there is no headphones. I barely use my phone. Sometimes I only take my phone with me. Like I am watching this dog and I'm watching this surroundings. That is it. I'm super aware of all of the bullshit. I get my dog was fine. She was chilling at this bed. She was looking up at me and back up at me like, well, what's going to do? You ready? I guess. I don't know. But that also frustrated me because it's like, okay, the traffic stop now, you ready to run across the street and the dogs are running after you, but what if they didn't? What if a bike hit them or something, oh my god, 88? Somebody just died in Central Park a few days ago from that exact thing. Like they have off-leash hours where you can have your dog off-leash from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. and it was 8 a.m. So the dog was off-leash, but they have to be leashed along the drives where there are cars and bikes coming through. They have to be leashed along the drives at all hours. This car's and did not have their dog leashed and they darted down to the street and a bike hit them and the man on the bike died because somebody did not want to follow the rules. I see people do this all the time in New York City. I think so. I think the dog is just fine. But I see people having their dogs unleashed in New York City, I'm like, it's no way you want to keep this dog. At any point that could just run out into the street, I would, I really, it makes me so upset again because like I don't know what your dog is going to do and if I have to scoop my baby up and carry her so be it, but like, yeah, you, you niggas have got to do better with these dogs. Y'all have fun. Link has a harness for her on her leash because, yeah, small neck, tiny neck. But also if at it, if one of them, uh, power Rangers was a scoot on over this way or any other dog scoop. Yeah. Pull that thing up real quick as she just goes, we and you're in my only had to do it a couple of times, but a couple of times I have been so grateful that I could just, let me get chola last before this gets crazy because I don't, everybody not a good dog parent, everybody not a responsible dog parent, everybody do not do what they supposed to do bodies animals and it's the rest of us who suffer and we've moving into the winter and last year when we had snow every other hour, everybody was pissed because all of a sudden you can see the mountains of dog shit that people leave behind y'all don't clean up after you're fucking dogs and you don't leash them like you supposed to either. I pick up the shit in the grass. Yeah, I pick up Laney shit, no matter where it is. Yeah, no matter where it is, simply pick it up. People being like, oh, fertilizer. What? This is a public health concern. This is, we're in the middle of New York City, it's nothing but concrete around here. Ain't nobody. Actually, there are some of the, there are some like, some of them little stations where they have doggy bags. They also have a little compost thing. I've seen these in lower Manhattan where you can. dispose of your dog shit and they'll go do something else with it but most there's like four of those that's yes you can go back though you bag it up and throw it away uh this is part of having a dog it's part of the work clean up after your goddamn dog leash your fucking dog when it's supposed to be leashed they're not just meant to like beat you instantly your lap or like lick on your hands when you're feeling like shit they're living creatures that fly on you for safety and and for food and water and life they're not just you just the same way that y'all don't need to have babies because you like them and they're cute and like oh here's mine like they they're a living being and they have to grow and understand and be safe and it's like when I was a kid and we were anywhere anywhere public to Disney the park beach wherever you need to be in front of me mom, dad, grown-ups, whatever if we walk in together you I need to be able to see you all eyes on you at all times you're walking in front of me mm-hmm yeah if I could you turn around to a small dog to say come on in the pitch black Laney has one of the infestible collars but that's for when we go somewhere that has a fence them backyard and she can run around or something freely and I can still see her little ass you know that's what I guess that we don't you know there are dog runs in every park or all the big parks in New York City where your off-leash dog can go run there are places for this there's one half a block from here see it just does it does it makes me off yeah yeah oh that shit fried me so bad I really want to speak up but I was like you know what I'm going to ask me and that's a woman nothing is gonna come out of my mouth that would be positive I just I'm pray for those two fur babies and gone because that's y'all have to do better the shit to pick it up here we go pick it up pick it up when I walk down in street and I've you see it all over the place I'm like there they give you bags they're they're free bags here all the time I have my own mm-hmm but I still bring mine down here and grab one of the freeing ones because every now and then link my surprise you'll be like here's a number one double shit day it's double shit day so you never know I take the free ones too but if you need the girl the other day asked me for a poop back as she had just ran out and her dog did a double shit you can absolutely I've won I keep them on me for that reason you may yes you may have one just ask but do something I've used all kind of stuff to pick up lady shit all kind of stuff I've used masks that obviously I'm not gonna wear again but if I don't have a bag I'll use I always have napkins or paper towels or something on me I'll use anything but I'm not leaving her poop in the street cuz that's nasty it's nasty it's nasty and y'all and I told you and dogs will go around and sniff it yeah who's who is that some real canine her little bit of just food honest that's just me I think Laney is married now cuz she she was greeting a dog outside and she got so excited that she pissed while she was standing on her hind legs I'm like that's new and then the dog heard bestie well I don't know that she had ever met this dog before but after she was done he went over to her pee puddle and sniffed it and then lifted his leg and peed on top of it I'm like do y'all go together now is that what that mean like I've never seen that no shit like that I've never seen that either yeah but they do like I I always assumed when she when I'm walking her and she like sniffs and peas it's like guess someone peed here mm-hmm yeah I think she I think sometimes they can they can like they can tell who was there like they they're like oh that's my home girl oh that's a bitch I don't like oh yeah I think they can like their noses are I'm pretty sure they can really really advanced but yeah the the unleash dogs they pissed me off too and they really oh I hate it there's just no reason to do it I there isn't a reason to do it but you know you'll learn with something tragic happens especially when they're as small as this Macbook and it is darkest fuck outside mm-hmm yeah especially you all right yeah you're not the only person in the world time to act like it um Sophie kind of I'm gonna do this so the Indian fevers season is over everybody say thank you Asia thank you God the rest of us don't have to deal with these holes it's four teams that I don't hate in the semis but this is not even about basketball because the season is over so if you can't hand can go back to terrorizing the rest of us with her cheap ass fucking weave and her dumb ass opinions she went to Mizo um which is where she went like this which this is who she went to but she was at a Mizo football game last week and she decided to wear a hat that says it says woman across the front oh my god and on the side on the side it says no sis just dot dot ellipses so I guess it's supposed to read nope just stupid I know so I guess it's supposed to read no sis just woman just woman which isn't a grammatically correct sentence y'all think it's just be saying any fucking thing but also what happened to I'm not transphobic I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans and I never said that and blah blah what happens all that because now you partnering up with this brand that makes a bunch of conservative merch and shit like that the a bunch of pro life and save the babies and you know hawk if you love Jesus type shit um you're partnering with extremely conservative homophobic transphobic all of those rest of the things brand to make just hats or sell hats that say no sis just woman and then you also claim that you're not transphobic those two things don't go but also yeah no but also if you're not cis then you're trans I was waiting for you to say it you because are so transphobic that you're looping around to calling yourself trans fears okay I'm just a woman okay cisgender is an adjective just like transgender there are lots of adjectives short fat tall bad good beautiful black white busy fair smart intelligent expressive kind pleasant unpleasant strange weird dummy we could put any of those words in front of woman to describe a woman or any other noun because that's what adjectives do yeah yeah so when you say no sis I fear you're only leaving us with one option yeah so fucking stupid imagine me saying oh I'm not a black woman I'm just a woman hmm okay so I'm gonna go ahead and call you a dummy bitch of a woman then because I fear you're not getting it yeah this was the last year of her contract or whatever it was I'm pretty sure she's a free agent now I don't if the indiana fever reassign her it will be for no reason other than their fan base absolutely loves what a bigot she is it won't be because of basketball this girl averages like two points of game so they probably will continue and I won't yes I won't be shocked if they do because they GM during the exit interviews last week was like we don't have a problem with Indian a fever fan base and that's just the media coming in here and people who have never even come to a game in Indiana have all we got a letter from somebody who said baby the problem is that them Caitlin Clark fans are also Iowa fans and I guess specifically Iowa Hawkeyes fans and those people are rabbit and extremely racist and I'm like I'm so far outside of Hawkeye business that that didn't even occur to me but it makes sense that people who are stone cold die hard racist about a college team would then transfer that over when the star player from that school goes to the WNBA so that does make sense I just I need all of you transphobic bitches to realize what you're saying when you buy this hat because you are extreme the extremely terrible grammar aside you're literally calling yourself trans and I don't think that's what you want to say you don't have to look at it. like being called cisgender, but you are still cisgender. No cis is crazy if you're not coming out as trans. What are you trying to say? And are you willing to be that dedicated to your hatred that, like, this is the type of message you wanna put out? Like, do you understand how stupid this sounds? Wack, unintelligent merchandise. Right, right. You see how those are all so adjectives. Putrid, idiotic, stupid. I probably already said that, but terrible, ugly, wicked. These are all wasteful, counterproductive. The selfie cutting him say, oh, I'm not white. I'm just a woman. Oh, I'm not tall. I'm just a woman. I'm not blonde. I'm just a woman. Do you or is this, do you decide that, like, adjectives regarding your, your gender, or your gender presentation are only invalid in this one specific situation? It's like the people who say they don't do pronouns. Oh, okay, right. I was just about to say you don't do pronouns, but if you're a woman, and I call you a man, all of a sudden, you definitely do pronouns. All of, if I be like, okay, sir, here you go. Enjoy your EMS day. Now you feel not have a fit. I was just about to say to you that have what you described. It sounds like when, when people say, like, my pronouns are four to F one 50. My pronouns are kick ass. Okay. Yeah, but no, no, they're not. Those are pronouns neither of them. It's like, okay, A, you're telling me who you are. There's the not clever, not correct, not smart. I don't do pronouns. You use pronouns all the time. You just don't know what one is, but your dumb is a box of rocks. Okay, every day, every day, every day, if you were like, I can't do the pronouns thing. You've done it your whole life. You do it without even thinking about it. It's a natural flow in language. I don't do pronouns and I told him the other day when he was talking to my mom. And she said, and then they went around the corner and daddy and auntie. They was all over there. And then she had did that. You, you used 20 pronouns in that one sentence. You do pronouns. You dumb, dumb woman. No, sis, just trans. They might as well be what the hat say. You ain't. No, sis. The girls, the girls just go ahead and, and, and take that and put that on marriage. No, sis. Because girl, they're so stupid. They are. And it's really boils down to that. Like, you're dedicated to being ignorant because, you know, theoretically, Sophie Cunningham has a degree from a pretty good school. You should know what words mean. And you should understand how this works. You should have a basic grasp of language and what it does. Soldier boy is going to Harvard, so I know he isn't. Of course, he's not. Well, that Harvard Business School that everybody go to, that, that don't count. He's not really a student there. He just bought a shirt and walked around on campus. Oh, okay. Oh, I'm like, no, you mean the real hard. I didn't even think you were. I think he might have applied to the, the real hard business thingy, the thing that a little baby did, not long ago. And Ty wrote, everybody does it. Yeah, yeah, okay. No, that don't count. Yeah. But, you know, you should really know better than this. This, the hat's real dumb. Don't wear it at home. It's so dumb. You might as well be calling yourself trans, especially if you try to like fake as if, oh, no, I do not. Hatred. No, I don't hate anybody. I would never. Oh, no, no, no, I, I never said I hated the trans, I, the trans. That's literally how she put it. She said for trans, like, you calling them the trans is how I know you hate them. Right, right. Cause you just one sound off from it being slower. Oh, Sophie, I pray you are never in a WNBA uniform again. I pray this is the last time I hear from you. Because when you inevitably start your career on Fox news or barstool or whatever, isn't a zero percent chance, I'll be fucking in. You know, it's going to happen. Yeah, when they have our own Fox sports, you will not have to worry about me. And that's where you go, switch to bitch. Where do you get off of having to say? Are you, why do you feel like where do you get to say anything? Right. Why do you, what is you contribute that makes you, you feel like you should be sitting there talking about anything? Literally that word. I'm more, I'm more qualified to talk about sports. Yeah, yeah. Sophie's a, a vile woman, a, a ghastly woman, a horrible woman, a disgusting woman, and a cis, gender woman, you simply are that you don't have to understand it or accept it to be that you always had like, not understanding it, not accepting it, not liking it. It's not changing it. Like you can call yourself whatever the fuck you are not cis. Okay, so, so then you're, so do you understand there's coming out? Right, are we supposed to, there's a secret we didn't know. Dumb nose though, y'all be so dedicated to being hateful that you will call yourself trans in the process. Advocating for your own exclusion from the league is crazy. But if that's what you want to do, I will not stand in your way. Bye, all right. Yeah, I was going to talk about Trump saying Iran could take out LA and San Diego, but at this point, I think the rest of y'all have done it. I think y'all have covered it. When I saw Gavin Newsom step down, I say, yeah, this is none of my business. Let me just let the white people in charge do something about it. But like, with any other president saying something like this, it, even with the all the contacts, I'm talking about gasping and blah, blah. Obama would have been dotted between the eyes if he even suggested some shit like this minutes later. Would not have even been able to finish the speech before they killed that nigger. And been like, well, when the American president is blatantly talking about treason, what can we do? And yet Donald Trump is going to be a bunch of conversations and he didn't really mean it like that. And it's not so bad and Trump is fixing that like to watch the way white supremacy is bending and contorting itself to make Donald Trump okay. I just hope all you da Vinci's out there are paying attention to who the real problem is. And it's like, at this point, what do you have to gain from it? What do you have to gain from it besides like, whatever political power benefits you get from the suck the dick right now? Like Nikki and that bang. Like the bang, that bang. You used to be known for a sharp bang, like a Chris right bang, right. And now they're shit looking like who's going to draw the store to straw? Because nobody would tell them wants to work with you anymore. I think a lot of people, I think they cannot face the embarrassment of admitting how wrong they've been about this man for the past decade plus. But you're out there. It's been this person. You're right. He's always in this shit here. It's like being shocked at a zillion banks move to Tel Aviv. How can you be? How can you be shocked? She's a horrible fucking person. How are you shocked? Oh, man, girl, I honestly love Israel. I just love it over here. The people hate my politics, but it's not like a big deal. And America keeps guys cancel me and now I'm working on my albums. I love Israel. All right, girl, all right. I love you, Sue. They, I hope they keep you. Please don't come back. You could, she said she has a real camaraderie and, and nobody's holding grudges against her because of her social opinions. Okay. Actively moving to Israel right now as then people are trying to exterminate the Palestinians is a fucking choice. And it's one you are allowed to make. I'm that I gave up a nebitch eight long time ago. Y'all can have it. But you can't be being shocked about a zillion moving to Israel is like being shocked that Trump is racist. Where have you been? Since the exonerated five, since, since his fucking companies was, was doing everything they could to keep black and brown people out of housing in Queens. For decades, this man has been this. When are you going to pay attention? And believe it. It's like. Hepatitis clowns, explosive diarrhea lettuce, we can't even do I know more of the girls, especially the everyday average flyover American girlies are like, well, I thought the people's just going to get rid of the Mexicans and the black, yep, and now I can't get no ex-mil. So I just want to know I don't stand when down drop and you know they still will vote for them again. Yeah. Oh, because everyone here is going to try. They're going to, of course, they are and he's going to make sure he's going to finagle his way onto the ballot some and we're just going to pretend the Constitution is not a thing. Oh, I hate it here. It's bad. Y'all want me to play seriously. I'm not, I'm gonna just stay put in New York, where mom Donnie makes me feel like everything is not completely hopeless because when I when I read the news and see what's going on, it's just easy to feel despondent, but anyway. And that's part of the plan, right? Maybe in time. Exactly. That's exactly what they want. And so resisting that, it's so important, but before we get started on a whole nother rant, let's wrap things up right there. That is going to conclude this week's episode of the read.
