The transcript presents a detailed, evidence-based argument linking Jack Terrence to the Zodiac Killer through a series of coincidences and material similarities. Key points include matching handwriting, voice tone, and physical traits such as the use of a pilot razor pen and a homemade hood with golden stitching. The timeline of Jack’s movements coincides with major unsolved crimes in areas like Lake Tahoe, Arizona, and Michigan. Items discovered in Jack’s belongings—such as keys, a green metal box, and pre-cut cords—are tied to known Zodiac crimes. The show highlights a lack of transparency from law enforcement, especially in the absence of public statements from FBI agents or figures like Brian Hartnell, who reportedly never reviewed the hood or Jack’s materials. Researchers also note that Jack’s background—military training, hunting, and use of radio tech—mirrors the Zodiac’s known profile. While the connection is compelling, it remains speculative. The discussion underscores ongoing skepticism about official narratives and raises questions about suppressed information, especially regarding the handling of physical evidence. Despite the detailed analysis, no definitive proof of Jack’s identity as the Zodiac is presented, leaving the theory open to debate. The narrative emphasizes the importance of public access to records, the role of personal anecdotes, and the potential for overlooked patterns in cold cases.
Nothing sounds better than spending less on fresh groceries on Amazon, but maybe the sound of fragrant garlic crunching under a knife could compare.
Or fresh onions just as they hit the wok.
Or potatoes overflowing with cheese just bubbling in the oven.
Eh, saving money still sounds the best. Spend less on groceries with low prices every day on Amazon.

Good morning, true seekers and true crime junkies. Welcome back to another episode of Hit the Road Jack Finding the Zodiac.
I'd like to welcome to the show Nollandale Campo.
Good morning, everybody.
Good morning. How was court this morning?
Oh, they have a new system for records. They don't have copiers anymore. You got to pay them 50 cents a page to make copies.
They couldn't find my file. It was wasted time, basically. I get to go back tomorrow.
Are you, you have to now pay instead of being able to get up on the computer instead of making your own copies of the copier in a record room.
So you don't get to pull records anymore?
You can pull records, but then you just got to pay for clip the pages you want copied and they make copies for you at 50 cents a page.
And what was it before 25 cents a page?
25 cents for the copier.
So now they've doubled the price. They're obviously understaffed to begin with.
And they couldn't find my file. There's a trial set for Thursday. So I need to see this file.
Right.
Oh, my goodness. I don't miss it. That's the family law courthouse downtown.
Oh, downtown's even worse. I'm trying to order files into expungements and they won't answer the phone.
I'm going to have to go down there in person just to order the files because they don't have their own house.
So normally I can just go right, you have to wait for them to.
So yeah, you have to wait for the whole from archives, huh?
Yeah, it takes about a week.
Oh, dear Lord, why is everything got to be so complicated in the midst of technology?
We should be able to just walk right in and email yourself stuff to ourselves.
Yeah, why isn't that an option?
If you can go in and access the computer systems, why wouldn't you be able to email the files to yourself?
Right. I don't know.
Well, expediency. Not there, not there, but anyway, excuse my language.
I had to back us up because I know that we were talking last week about the fact that Jack was personal friends.
Because Dennis would put it with President Lyndon B. Johnson, right?
As far as having hunted on his ranch and then also had a wedding invitation to LBJ's wedding, which I kind of didn't put that all together when I was reading Dennis's book and it talked about Jack's wife, then wife, Lisa, writing to President Johnson to get Jack out of his military contract.
Wow. Are you with me? Are you still?
You're on a show, Nolan.
So did you hear what I just said?
Yeah, about LBJ and then getting him out of his military contract?
Yes. In the fact that she was able to write the President personally to get him out of his contract.
Of course, I thought that was, you know, a little bit of, oh gosh, where how many people could literally write the President?
Like Jack walked into the judges' house and had him take him back down to the jail to pick up his gun out of evidence.
Like who gets this preferential treatment and who could literally write the President and get their husband out of military duty?
How can I calculate in or figure in the other things that Dennis talked about with Jack's affiliation with LBJ?
I mean, that just like really puts it in the mix now and to know that she wrote President Johnson of all people kind of just adds to that list of who he knows and what he's a part of.
Well, we have somebody else who has some interesting takes on what is involved and what is going on.
At Frank Burnett 740 sent me a message on YouTube that says I may be mistaken but didn't heart now sell say that it did not look like the hood worn in the sign design.
And you have to keep in mind some of the agents may be using it for their new animal crimes unit.
Now I don't know what the animal crimes unit means. He did follow it with laughing faces so it might be a joke.
Yeah, animal crimes may be referring to serial killers who knows.
Either way, Hartnell to my knowledge has never spoken to Dennis.
I did have you obviously write to Hartnell and you attempted attorney to attorney contact to see if he would listen to Jack's voice and look at the hood to see what his thoughts were but we got no response from that.
Yeah, I don't know any knowledge of the FBI showing it to him either.
I mean, I would have thought that if that was the case that Chris Hopkins would have said I showed it to to Hartnell and he says it's not consistent or something to that effect.
So where people are getting information that says Hartnell's looked at this hood to my knowledge, this has not been seen by anybody.
How would they have that information?
I would have to believe that Hartnell knows somebody that if they had come across that type of information would have shown it to him, which would have given him an opportunity.
I mean, this was released in 2008, Dennis did these pictures, even Bart Baggett was aware of who Dennis Kaufman was and Jack Terrence when I entered in 2009.
You know, how is it that he hasn't seen it and if he has seen it doesn't believe that it's consistent and why would he not at least make that statement again we keep looking for these items that will help clear Jack so we can move on right but we just can't.
There's a lot of strange things about Hartnell.
First of all, wouldn't you want to help solve the damn crime?
You're friends and I don't know maybe lover of a girlfriend got murdered you got stabbed and the other thing is weird too.
So I would think I would want to help you know another attorney you know contact him saying hey we think we have a good suspect can you tell us we're on the right track or not.
I'd be more than willing to help but he's not.
He doesn't even call or write back or anything and the other thing is he moves to Riverside. Now he's got to know about Sherry Joe Bates being you know victim and pretty much everyone thinks Bates what was a zodiac crime.
So it's odd that he would knowing the zodiac hasn't been caught knowing he's killed people inside and he had to move to Riverside.
That would be a very very point. I think I would steer clear of any areas the zodiac had killed and if I had been almost victims that's true.
Well he was victim just didn't die.
Well I said yeah yeah you're right I'm sorry I say almost victim but almost murdered.
Well Frank Bernat goes on to say I would also look into how quickly the FBI holds on to suspect evidence.
I know I have read and watch docs where when it came to or dot crime or Narcos types they like to hold on to monetary items taken from suspect properties including cash etc.
A lot of law enforcement agencies have been known to say stop a hunter who had shotgun properly stowed in vehicles were stopped for other things and weapons were never returned.
So I said many stories of such from 85 up to the 2000s and you just ignore the request for such items be returned.
Do you have vids of this agent statements on the fabric that said would who would be returned to didn't the stepson who brought all these items etc. out pass away who gets the hood you I'm not trying to break balls I am just a nosy type I follow your show.
So my answer to that was is that Charles is still alive.
I mean if they don't believe Jack is a suspect or that he falls short of what they would conclude him as the suspect then that all of that and I wouldn't call it evidence if it's truly not evidence it's not consistent with the crimes or what was said there was other statements by Chris Hopkins.
regards to the stitching being this golden color
that we see on Dennis's hood is consistent
with what was known about the hood,
and not that it was a white stitching as is produced.
And this was one of the things that was supposedly
kept from the public so that there could not be coffee cats.
So of course, I believe that information came from Dennis
himself, but the information about the fabric,
the juke fabric existing previous to the zodiac murders
was something that Chris Hopkins did state in front of me.
And no, I don't have videos of this.
I mean, you go into the FBI office
and you're not allowed to pull out your film
and start video taping anything.
- Right.
What are the conversations with FBI agents
between Dennis and the FBI agents?
- Right, and they were fully enthralled.
They were very interested in his evidence and at no point.
I mean, when you think about those phone calls
where we're circa 2000 and 2002,
Dennis brings me in in 2009,
and we still have open door access.
We can walk in and get these agents
pretty much anytime we show up.
No appointment necessary.
At least I don't recall Dennis ever having made one
and it was always a shock to the agent that,
oh, hey, Dennis, I didn't know you were coming down.
(laughing)
- They're office in Sacramento, San Francisco.
- It was in Sacramento originally
and then moved over there off of freedom in Rockland.
- Okay, interesting.
- Yeah, Roseville, Rockland, whatever they want to call it.
It's right there on the cusp of both,
but it was the one over there next to American River College
on, was that orange,
- Orange Grove.
- Orange Grove Boulevard, yeah.
- By the sheriff's station.
- Correct.
So going through some of Dennis' stuff,
including his video yesterday to locate
some voice recordings of Jack,
I found the color version of the picture
that we showed last week in regards
to Jack holding a shotgun to his wife's head.
And it's funny, but it was a color version.
I thought I would just update the presentation with.
We had somebody named Michael,
and that's the way he spells it.
(laughing)
He says, would it be possible for you
to make playlist on your YouTube channels,
such as with all of the handwriting compilations?
It's very difficult finding all of them
and I'm having a blast with these videos.
So I have another person who's saying
it's hard to find these things chronologically,
you know, they're out there on many sources.
You can look me up on BitShoot.
Well, that probably doesn't have the handwriting compilation
that I did early on, I wanna say 2010, 2011,
but it does have all of the videos from beginning to end,
which I do cover the handwriting
as it compares to all of the crime sprees
we're talking about in video section.
And I do list it as a playlist.
So I had to actually go in there and ask it
to chronologically order it for the date
that it actually was placed on the internet
and now hopefully you will be able to find them
in order or the alternative is,
they're still messing with my algorithm.
(laughing)
- Gross.
- Nothing sounds better than spending less
on fresh groceries on Amazon,
but maybe the sound of fragrant garlic
crunching under a knife could compare.
Sean C1P1N says Jack and Larry and Post work together.
Jack and Larry moved to Nevada at the same time.
Also when Jack moved to Minnesota, Larry was operating
in Oakland County, Detroit.
It's all CIA ops with media and psychiatrists totally involved.
Post ran CIA serial killer training camp for decades.
They have dozens of camps.
Now I don't discount the dozens of camps
and I haven't done a deep dive into post at all,
but I didn't know or didn't see anything,
especially when he was all the hype for the men
that he was that they indicated
he ran a CIA serial killer training camp,
but you must have to go to somebody's message board
to pick up on this stuff I'm assuming.
I don't know how they have that information.
I'm not familiar with Post.
Gary, I think his name was.
We covered him when he came out as a suspect for a hot minute.
The things I commented on were that he did not wear glasses,
not in any of his pictures all the way up
through his driver's license in his old age.
So I didn't see him at any given point in time with glasses on,
which really kind of erases him from the probability
of the Lake Veriessa because you wouldn't add something extra
like we've talked about.
You're not gonna wear glasses and then clip on glasses
on top of glasses in order to commit a crime.
If you're gonna do this,
you're gonna wanna do it as hands-free as possible
without too many things that can get all screwed up
and messed up in the process, I would think.
So they really kind of declared that the Zodiac Killer
required glasses since the composites were seen with it,
the Lake Veriessa hood was seen with it,
including clip-ons.
But again, I do have to go back to if this is CIA,
they learned to look completely different.
As you noted last week about Jack
in every single one of his pictures.
- Yes.
- Sean C1P1N again says I was there.
Where do you think he got the money to train dozens
of young serial killers over decades?
There are dozens of these camps all over the country.
I'm thinking he was saying he was at one of these camps.
- Wow, crazy.
- Right?
And of course I'm not gonna override something
he may personally know if it's true in fact
that he's been at one of these camps
because that is not within my purview or my knowledge.
It's nothing I found in any of Jack's stuff.
I only surmised that Jack is a government program
based on the capability of getting away with what he did,
never being convicted or married or divorced
under the right name.
Like there's so many things that make you go,
that would never happen to me.
I'd never get that lucky.
If I commit a crime I'm going in as an inept bartel,
just like it's failed.
So that brings us back to where we left off last week.
And that's, I also wanted to pick up an ad to that.
One of the items that they did in the physical description
was to say that survivor Brian Hartnell describes
the zodiac's voice as slow and measured
and having a unique sound and cadence with a monotone.
So I wanted to play an excerpt from Dennis's documentaries
that we played a few weeks ago,
where we get to hear Jack speak.
- Well, you guys can't always go back
and look, I suppose, at Dennis Kaufman's stories,
but of course that means that I don't have it on record here.
I'll see what we can do about that at a later date,
but you will notice or take,
but when you are listening to Jack speak,
that he is extremely monotone.
He doesn't have exciting moments.
He doesn't have high pitch, low pitch.
- Yeah, he's kind of low key.
His voices also are on the Aphrodite Jones cable program.
- Yes, the news.
- His interviews him and ask them,
and he says he's killed more than 100 people.
- Oh, which one was that?
- That was on the Aphrodite Jones show that you were on.
- There's so many things I've forgotten.
I know I need to go back and review that.
- Yeah, he films an interview with Jack on that show.
And that's, so.
- Yes.
- And I remember him saying things like,
many of the things I did, they don't have proof up.
- Right.
- And that most of the really bad stuff
happened before he even went into the military.
So I'm wondering how much more.
I mean, we know there's Texarkana.
We know there's some LA activity with Bowerdorf.
We know that there is the lipstick killings
in Chicago, Illinois.
So there are some pretty horrendous things
that were either pinned on the wrong person
or just went completely unsolved.
And we know that Jack has also admitted to
that there were people who were taken down.
The jobs he's done.
Either they're moving on with our items
and that was gonna be 62.
I was going to include Jack's voice
with the first composite match.
Maybe we can get that played next week.
But moving forward, we have a secondary composite match,
which is the Sonoma County composite
that we see that was done in 1975.
What's interesting is that Dennis shows this on his video
but states that he almost makes it look
as though the Zodiac was done disappeared and gone
by 1974 by his own words.
And in reality, we see Sonoma County
coming up with this composite in 1975.
So who did they do this composite with?
Take note to the lowered left eye that we see here
in both of them.
Very, very consistent with what we're looking at as Jack.
And this is a picture of Jack in 1973.
It's as close as you can get.
And then a journalist update.
- It's crazy, yeah.
- It's very crazy.
I mean, well, I shouldn't say it's crazy.
It's not even coincidental.
I match the handwriting.
So how is it that the composites are so similar
to to Jamick. And of course, this is long before they know this is 25 years.
before Dennis introduces Jack as a suspect. So item 64, Jack and Doris moves to
night at California where Jack is working as a tow truck driver miles from where
Donna last is school is found and I mean like seven miles. In the world of
coincidences with my mom being scammed by somebody I think that was within
what she would refer to as familial people. The money that she was sending
supposedly to the scammer who claims to love her was being sent six miles from
this other girls house and her name is a version of the name that my mom was
sending the money to but my mom highly disagrees with me that she is sending it
to the very same person I believe she's sending it to but again there's no
coincidences. Late 1968 Doris leaves Jack says he killed the family animals and
her son walked in on Jack trying to smother her with a pillow but this is a
personal conversation I had with her. Wow. Yeah. She actually the first time I
called her and told her what I wanted to talk about. She got so skied out. She
hopped off the phone didn't want to talk to me. When I called her back the second
time she literally was like are you sure Jack's dead? I'm like well as far as I
know. He supposedly pulled his own breathing tube and there was a whole lot of
things that went on and was involved with that so she'd finally opened up and
she told me that he would kill the family animals. This is this this is serial
killer 101 and he's doing it as an adult. So it's likely he did it as a kid as
well. Also she remembers Jack walking her in the middle of the night into the
woods by gun gunpoint with a shovel telling her she is to dig her own grave.
That's pretty scary. 1968 to 1969 number 66. Jack is living in a converted
school bus that his sister and husband owned. I'm showing you the article
once again here. This article we cover in the presentation and this article was
from 1963 Jack's brother-in-law and his and I think one of his brothers were
involved with it and Jack had to basically somebody had to come save him. So they
basically converted it into a gambling bus took it up the hill and then his
brother-in-law and I believe one of his brothers had planned on holding up
the people on the bus and robbing their money from them. So this article covers
all of this that I'm talking about. So crap shooters get jump on the gunman
basically and so Jack has kept this article for all these years from 1963 on.
There's another one of those you know pieces of history that helped him to
remember the school bus that he lived on. So the zodiac killer claiming he
there is a bus bomb. Jack is that bomb and no address really meant no address
because he was actually living in a converted bus at this point. This could
explain the caves in the rest area at Lake Herman Road within view of the
Lake Herman Crimes. Item number 67 Jack the Air Force technical supply sergeant
zodiacs claimed to have concealed his fingerprints using airplane cement. We
talked about the Wing Locker Boots. There was definitely plenty of
indications that this person was trained by the military to some degree.
Number 68 at some point in the late 60s Jack's nephew Gary indicates that Jack
ran over a black man in Oakland and got away with it because he claimed self-defense.
While I was actually looking at the video from Dennis it also brought back to
mind at Jack also stabbing another man on Gary's memory and then sorry Mary's
husband had also discussed or talked about how Jack and his biological son
Denny had set ablaze a man in a cabin and I do believe that in my research I've
found that individual so there is that unsolved murder there as well of a man
that had died in a cabin on fire in an area proximity to where Jack was.
Number 70 was Lana works Lana Lana works for the Sahara Casino were Donna
last worked before she went missing and of course we just heard about the post
where supposedly post of all things also moved to South Lake Tahoe at the same
time. Number 71 1970 to 1971 Jack moves just two and starts work at South
Lake Tahoe Lening Company however he keeps his home on Durban way in San Jose
that has a film lab in the basement I want to say he didn't finally sell that
Dennis said until 1972 and that brings me back to the Donna last and and
negatives of the old pictures found of Black Dahlia and Jack's belongings the
ability to reprint film or record and reprint pictures from an earlier
time frame which you can see in the actual print itself the progression or
chronological order of the photo paper that was being used and the formatting of
those those Black Dahlia pictures are creepy. Nothing sounds better than spending
less on fresh groceries on Amazon but maybe the sound of fragrant garlic
crunching under a knife could compare or fresh onions just as they hit the
walk or potatoes overflowing with cheese just bubbling in the oven.
Yeah saving money still sounds the best spend less on groceries with low prices
every day on Amazon. Very creepy. I remember Dennis bottom over to your house
and we looked at him together they did there's definitely something going on
there I mean when I look at it I see somebody in pure shock I've had other
people tell me they didn't see anything that we talked about I want to say even
Chris Hopkins was like I don't see what you guys see I'm like oh my gosh are
you kidding me I mean even where they cut on the mouth lines up in this thing
where it appears as though that mouth is completely missing and that's
probably due to the fact that that one 10 film that took a pictures of those
earlier pictures was kept in that metal box inside inside storage sheds and
we know that negatives should not be stored like that or they will go bad.
72 item 72 1971 Jack meets Nora Dennis's mother and upon that meeting Dennis
smack Jan Jack's hand off his moms Jack then takes Dennis into the bedroom and
told him that he didn't like being here any more than Dennis did but he has to
be that's that saying of had to die must die have to do it have to kill you so
he's forced to do these things in order to keep his cover from blown so many
killer references to having to new articles to zodiac to move away changes
appearance find a family and stop killing from a concerned citizen all of
these things for kind of telltale signs that he is communicating through the
newspapers number seventy three Jack has a court date San Jose on 322 1971
and the Donna last card was post work March 22 1971 mailed from the very same
area which is Pleasanton I did see that in Dennis's documentary that he
literally pen points he follows the map with a pen and pen points where the
letter was mailed out to in conjunction with where we had to be for court that
day and again it's within miles of each other Jack is placed on probation for
one year and his guns are taken away Danny Reynolds doors Reynolds son and Jack
stepson from that marriage goes to CYA which is California Youth Authority for
three years it's Dennis's perception that he took the rap for something that
Jack probably would have seriously done some time for and in doing so Jack
rewards that steps on with bringing him home from CYA back to his new home and
family with Nora and Dennis and the girls in South Lake Tahoe and there's
evidence to support that item number 76 December of 1973 Jack and Nora go on a
double date to the movie the exorcist zodiac killer breaks and almost three
year silence with his exorcist letter debut on January 30th of 1974 so the
timing of letters for the zodiac and Jack extends to the Donna last 12 victim
card anthrax letters voids letters and Tim Miller's letter so again following
that pattern of proximity number 77 early 70s Jack hands are damaged from the
wrists down Jack claims he took off a hot radiator cap at work but Dennis
believed Jack knew better as an experienced mechanic plus there wasn't any
work comp papers filed for this so if he had done something like this and we've
seen him file several comp claims over back bad back had he actually burnt his
hands at work he would have definitely filed a work comp claim so I have to note
that is lack of evidence is evidence Dennis actually believed that he soaked his
hands in acid because of a new release of possible fingerprints in the zodiac
killer case from Lake various accrims and the nap a foam booth he also said that
the demarcation went up to his wrists so it was as if he dunked his hands in
something rather than having been intermittently splashed by something that was
hot
Number 79, early '70s,
Jack Seen Arthur Lee Allen being touted
as the zodiac killer by the media and made the comment.
That was the nice man that gave me a ride home
from Lake Berriessa.
So many inclusions here to the zodiac and D.V. Cooper.
If it were true that Allen had a plane
and was a pilot because Jack also made comments
about having been taking flying lessons
with a friend during that time frame.
And then of course, we know that there was research
that indicated there was a small plane
that was actually mapping out that area
during that time frame as well.
So it could easily have been them.
And then that's why Arthur Lee Allen is giving him
that ride home from Lake Berriessa
because that was their meeting point
with Allen being in Vallejo, Jack being in South Lake Tahoe,
come to Lake Berriessa and then fly that plane out
to wherever it might be.
Again, just a theory.
Number 80, 1972, Jack sells his home
on Dover and Way in San Jose, California
to finalize his move into the coffin family in South Lake Tahoe.
Number 81, early 70s, Jack purchases some acreage
from Nora's grandfather, which will later be searched
with cadaver dogs where human remains are found.
He does show that once again in his documentaries.
Number 82, one of the most, I know, doesn't he look psycho?
- Here's Johnny.
- Here's Johnny, but look how sickly thin he looks here.
- He looks scary.
He reminds me of Jack Nicholson in the shining.
- I know. (laughing)
Same eyes.
(laughing)
But one of the creepier things
that I had ever seen anybody write down on paper
was to skin, treat, and tan hides.
Some of the things that he talked about in this
was the liberal amounts of salt should be rubbed
into the flesh size of the skin,
then dried in a cool, airy place.
Then we look over to what the zodiac had written about.
And he says, I shall skin them alive.
They'll be placed in cages of the fed salt beef
until they are gorge.
Then I shall listen to the pleas for water.
- Whoa.
- So salt being one of those key components there.
Number 83, Jack is seen with the craze
of dancing around proud after killing the neighbor's dogs.
This is while the dentist is family.
He's proud of himself.
And the zodiac killer be described as a psychotic laugh
in a frenzy while stabbing Cecilia Shepard,
probably due to drugs.
And I would say in both instances,
this picture as well.
(laughing)
Side note, I also wanted to throw in the dentist
has a meeting in South Lake Tahoe of all places.
South Lake Tahoe, where he is met by men in black suits
and they extend to him that as long as he sticks
to the zodiac killer stuff that he will be fine
and safe.
But if he traverses and works outside of that,
looking at any other crimes I'm taking it,
then there would be issues.
So basically was either an idle threat or a serious threat.
They haven't extended it to me.
So I'm gonna pick up where Dennis left off.
(laughing)
- Yeah, I was wondering basically.
- Right, right.
And then we had the odd taking and returning of Jack's urns.
So basically at the wake, I guess, if you will.
The families there, these men in black suits walk in,
they grab Jack's urns, they walk out the door,
without saying a word to anybody.
And then somehow inside of a week,
it is then returned back to them.
So I don't know if this was the CIA's way of checking
to confirm that it was Jack's--
- This is protecting DNA.
- You know, I wouldn't have thought that they could,
but if there were some bone pieces,
they might they still be able to find some DNA in that.
- Who knows, I don't--
- I know, I don't either.
If there's a way to validate
or maybe they needed to have their own ceremony.
- Who knows, that's Phoebe.
- Very weird.
I've never heard of that ever happening before in my life,
but then I'm not a huge part of the CIA fam.
(laughing)
Oh, and here was Jack actually skinning an animal.
So of course we know that he's completely capable
of doing what this letter says that he would do.
Skin them alive.
Wow, that's creepy.
That's Buffalo Bill, right?
It flips the lotion on the skin.
(laughing)
Number 84, Jack's matching handwriting traits.
Now of course we do the presentation.
I'm just going to give you a basic summary.
He has the ability to write online paper evenly
and straight just as the Zodiac does.
The use of paper IE margins and line spacing
while writing online papers also consistent.
Ability to write naturally
in several different styles of handwriting.
Jack has a vertical to hard write slant.
Jack's favorite pen is a pilot razor point felt tip pen.
Jack creates spaces between syllables and a word
creating the appearance that the word is broken into two
or maybe three words.
Jack also combines two or more words into one
and uses them in writing like wannabe
or the Zodiac used a few of them, what's his name?
He created one word out of what's his name.
Individual characteristic of spacing between letters
and words are identical between these two authors.
Jack proclaims he is right handed
but can write with both and claims to have written
the channel nine newsletter 5, 8, 1974 with his left hand.
Addressing sequences are identical between authors,
punctuation and linguistics are similar
between both authors.
Jack carried a ham radio license for seven to 10 years
after returning from Matsugi, Japan, Air Force Base,
where the main job for the military personnel
was to man a radio station with the allies as service,
learning to encode with many systems.
There is evidence to suggest that he knew this well
before his service in Japan.
Jack has a hypnosis symbol written in his own handwriting
and has been observed using such a device
during his affiliation with Dennis Kaufman.
This hypnosis symbol resembles the crosshair symbol
recognized as the Zodiac sign.
Jack is an avid hunter with skinning,
fleshing, bisecting and hide tanning capabilities.
Jack was an excellent orienteer
that could call out lakes in different states
at 35,000 feet in the air,
which is something D.B. Cooper did.
Piction eyewitnesses support this.
- Nothing sounds better than spending less
on fresh groceries on Amazon,
but maybe the sound of pouring an ice cold glass
of orange juice comes close.
Or the first bite of a honey crisp apple.
Or the sweet sizzle of bacon frying to the perfect crunch.
Nah, saving money still sounds the best.
Number 85, the green metal box that belonged to Jack,
which can be seen in Steven Doherst's book
and in Dennis' documentary.
Steven's book says Dennis took the material
he got from the shed on Cooply Drive back to Sacramento
and started going through it.
He realized that he had gotten almost all of Jack's
personal payers going back to the 1940s and into the 1980s.
There was also a grish green metal file box
with very worn paint and a creative bus psychic called
in on the Zodiac case in 1971 had predicted the existence
of such a box.
Dennis had never seen the box before.
Inside Dennis found what looked like a collection
of souvenirs from a serial killer.
Over the next eight years, Dennis continued to excavate
materials from that hall and it would be 2008
before the full relevance of that material
began to be understood.
So the metal file box and the contained sandwich box
found in the flagstaff storage in 2001 contained
among the items found in that metal file box
and flagstaff was a small, oblong, rubber-made sandwich box
inside where one pocket knife with a broken tip
and missing side panel equated number 86
to the Sherry Joe Bates murder.
Four earrings, eight, seven, item 87, possible missing items
from crimes as the Santa Rosa hitchhiking murders.
One set of keys with GMAC key return tag number 2128-04.
I related to the Chris Bush and his father
who was a big wig for GMAC item number 88.
Item number 89, one shell oil key return tag key
and a number 0 426-84.
Inside the green metal box was one long leather
thong worn and soiled.
I don't know what that means.
I don't see a picture of it.
Maybe we'll see.
One boot type shoe lace.
Oh, not that, not that.
Well, back then we called them thongs.
These days with the competition of women's underwear,
I get laughed at by the youngins because they act
like they don't know what a thong is.
Either way, whether it's a whale tail on your foot
or on your butt, it's a whale tail.
It's a thong.
One gold coat button, women's type, two blue pilot felt tip pens, similar to those
used to write the zodiac letters.
One packet of writing paper identical to that used to write the zodiac letters.
So this must have been where he found the eaten bond paper.
So I don't find that to be a coincidence that the eaten bond paper and the pilot razor
pens, which appears to be zodiac's favorite pen, were all found contained in one box.
It's crazy.
Number 90, oh, go ahead.
Where did you find the cake?
What was the real, the real case where he found the hood and then it's found the hood.
What shed was that in?
That was some type of a PA system, and I'm not sure if he got that from the ant in copley
Arizona, which is one of the places that Jack lived at last in two, that might be where
he got it.
The 2003, 2005, I believe that's when he was flopping back around.
Where Nora had died and he had moved back temporarily, at least we see on his Wells Fargo
checks, that he ordered checks with the copley address on it once again, because he had been
there previously when Nora was alive and they lived in the Arizona area.
So I want to say it was 2005.
Dennis had gone to see if he could get the stuff out of this woman's storage shed.
She wanted to get rid of it, and I guess Jack had owed her some money.
So Dennis paid a little bit of money to her to be able to obtain what he could, but it
sounds to me like he left the majority of things behind because he said he couldn't take
everything with him.
He didn't know how much was there, and that's a shame because there's probably a lot
more.
And that doesn't include the items that did get thrown away by another ant in Texas when
Jack was out there in 2005.
So item number 90, Zodiac's favorite pen, is found in Jack's box and eaten bone paper,
which was the Zodiac Stationery.
Here's some pictures of those items.
Get to see the different keys.
So this is the Shell Oil Gas Station Return Tag.
This is the GMC Return Tag.
We can see this pre-cut cord.
This is kind of something that Charles, Jack's son, said that carried around two to three
foot length cords that weren't enough to tie anything down.
So he wasn't quite sure why they were in the trunk, but they were.
We see the earrings.
We see the knife with the broken tip and bent blade, and then the pilot razor pens were
found inside.
All of this, to my knowledge, was turned over to the FBI, and we never even got anything
back.
I have to believe they had either tested or done some type of testing on the ink found
on these papers, that they easily have been matched to or tested against the pen at a later
time.
But with everything going missing and nobody sharing, nothing sounds better than spending less
on fresh groceries on Amazon, but maybe the sound of fragrant garlic crunching under
a knife could compare, or fresh onions just as they hit the wok, or potatoes overflowing
with cheese just bubbling in the oven.
Spend less on groceries, with low prices every day on Amazon.
So the dinners take those pictures of those items?
Yes.
Okay.
So good thing you did, because you never got the stuff back, so you see those pictures.
Right.
And these tips on these pilot razor pens were worked over.
They were in sideways.
Like that, the person who used them used them aggressively with a very hard pressure.
Um, Steven's do her book goes on to say, "I spent a few minutes taking this up pictures
of some of the physical items Jack had left behind.
I had long been aware of the orange rubber made sandwich box and what it tamed.
But it creaked me out the first time I'd seen it, and it still creaked me out.
It became even worse when I realized that it was one of the items found in the flag of storage
shed in 2000."
So now he's saying 2000, but um, that would sound more like the time frame.
So maybe Jack gave him access to the 2005 one.
I know Jack gave him access to one the other he paid for.
Um, the Flagstaff connection was yet another unfathomable coincidence.
Uh, but the best close-ups I could of the contents.
So 92 is Flagstaff, Arizona proximity where two murdered and decapitated females were
found at the, at the same time frame that Jack was scouting, moving.
And in fact, when he moved Flagstaff, Arizona, he was supposed to move to enough location,
I believe, but ended up staying in Flagstaff.
And the location he was supposed to move to, or at least that's what Nora talks about
in the diary was where these females were found dead.
Wow.
Here's a close-up of the GMAC I did go on to take shares of things that I could.
So we can see that these are much clearer.
This has the number on the backside and the GMAC and Signia on the front side.
So item number 23, these keys were found in Jack's belongings and the return to owner
address goes to Southfield, Michigan.
We see Southfield, Michigan become the center of the Oakland County Child Killers activities
in 1976.
So it would be interesting, and then the keys themselves, they look like something that
you would use for a post office box or a locker at maybe a train station or a bus station
or something like that.
I mean, this is kind of the style of a key that I actually currently have for my locking
mailbox.
Interesting.
Okay.
Interesting.
Yeah, if those could be identified, I need a key, a key expert.
That brings us to item number 94, the PA system in the hood.
So we know that we've talked about Jack and his working, the ham radio stuff, Jack stated
that this piece or this, oh yeah, this piece of equipment was very important to him if
Jack, Dennis was ever to get rid of it, he expected it to be returned to Jack, which
is odd because he didn't want anything else in his life returned to him, not his years
and years and years of receipts that he had kept, not his other green metal filing box
or things of that nature.
But we can see here the makeshift hood that comes right down to the top of the shoulders.
We can see where it ends right here.
That's what they're describing here in this particular composite is that stops at the
shoulders, continues on down the chest with the zodiac symbol being in the center of
the chest, which is very consistent as far as I'm concerned, and even the square nature
of it would have caused it to buckle as we see in the original composite.
Number 96, Jack wears glasses, not just any glasses, clear glasses like the first composite
from the Presidio.
He also has glasses that have dark, oh gosh, I don't know why I don't know.
I don't know.
He looks so excellent, professional in that picture right there.
I know.
And so different from any other pictures, like he looked like that once in his life.
And where is he?
Is that his hand?
Uh, the other one's the hand radio, but what's, where's he there?
It's like, I'm not sure because he obtained a couple of his licenses in Texas.
So he was like operating out of Texas, some, maybe he did a machinery or a, like, maybe
it's IBM or maybe it's General Electric, who knows.
I believe he's, I thought he said this was 1971, the picture here that he compares to
the Presidio composite, yeah.
That would put him in South Ohio, I would believe.
But in this picture, so it makes me feel like this picture is even earlier because then
what Dennis probably presumed it was.
And the reason why I say that is because he looks completely different in a December 71
picture with Nora.
He's got a pop belly.
He's definitely looking a bit older, but again, he changes it.
I feel like from where to the next.
If we put his 1975 picture next to the last freaky, crazy picture, you'll see a completely
different person again.
Yeah.
Number 97, where's cleared glasses like the original San Francisco composite already put
that there.
Number 98, zodiac symbol was sewn in a gold yellow thread.
And Dennis claimed that the FBI said the real color of the thread was that color, not what
they had produced on the media, which was white to protect from false claims and confessions.
Number 99, right.
Number 99, who does made out of a juke fabric that was in existence, previous to the zodiac
crime.
So that is one way of confirming.
I mean, when I'm looking at a letter that's supposed to be from 1970, or I'm sorry, 1778,
I expect to find it on a woven pressed manufactured paper or something we don't see these days.
But a one mark that's impressioned through the process of making that actual paper.
If these things were missing, then I could clearly state that the letter wasn't from the
error the person thought it was from.
So to note that it was made out of a juke fabric that pre-existed the zodiac murders is
another two in this hood.
Number 100, Charles Charles, Jack's youngest son remembered that Jack always carried pre-cut
white cord and two to three feet. I already
covered this, but pieces in the trunk of his car
for some odd reason.
He remembered thinking it wasn't big enough
to tie anything down except for people that is.
And of course, we've seen a lot of white cord used.
Yeah, wrists, feets, feets.
(laughing)
Hey, where there was couples like various,
so technically there were feets.
(laughing)
101, the timing of occurrences, proximity to the areas
and knowledge of areas related to all crimes listed here,
such as the I-45 killer, Minnesota, Arizona,
Michigan, Atlanta, Texas, Arcana, Illinois.
And when Jack was not in these areas,
unsolved murders of this kind were non-existent
or at a low during those times while picking up
wherever he went.
Getting into, now this one just extends a little bit further
because this is a solve versus a piece of evidence
out of Jack's belongings.
This was done by Lauren Swaringham.
Lauren's exactness with his solves equal to where
the location of Donna Lasse's remains would be found.
And in fact, had already been found in 1984,
they just didn't know who to attribute the school with.
So when this man concludes something in his solve,
either he has insight information himself
because he wanted to go off and write a book,
not support our cause.
He got the information he needed from myself
and from Harriet in regards to how Jack would use
the ciphering system based on Dennis' recollection.
And then he decided he wanted me to tear down all of his work
so he could write a book, which that's all I find
is people wanting to write books.
He stated when he first contacted me
that on his attempt to solve the 340 cipher
that he found only one person's name
with any other complete sentences, and that was Jack Terrence.
He did not find any of the suspects' names
that we are seeing coming out on Tom Void's board
or otherwise.
This is actually the writing on the wall
from the lipstick killer case.
And he used every single letter, albeit some of these letters
were posed as this looks like an E, but it was actually
a C in a relation of the word that it was put in.
So one of these would have been found in the word Jack, right?
But it looks like an E.
So he, him using them the way that they would be used
as perceived, he came up with a message.
I'm Jack Terrence.
I have slain.
This would be Francis Brown.
I see more of them.
You'll see more of me.
So kind of eaky that he came up with a full sentence
and might want to add and remind people
when we did the solve, oh my gosh, we're way over you guys.
I must quit.
I'm sorry.
I got so involved, it was time for me
to end this session.
We will be back the following Friday with more.
I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend.
Take care and we'll see you soon.
Thank you, Nolan.

Podcast Summary
Key Points:
The show explores strong connections between Jack Terrence’s life details and the Zodiac Killer’s modus operandi, including similar handwriting, voice patterns, and physical traits.
Multiple items found in Jack’s belongings—such as pilot razor pens, keys, a green metal box, and a homemade hood—match known Zodiac evidence, suggesting a potential link.
The timing and locations of Jack’s movements closely align with unsolved murders, including the Lake Tahoe, Sherry Joe Bates, and Santa Rosa killings.
FBI agents and Dennis Kaufman’s interactions indicate that Jack’s materials were examined, yet no public disclosures or follow-ups occurred, raising questions about transparency.
Jack’s claimed military training, use of ham radios, and experience with hunting and hide tanning parallel known Zodiac behaviors, supporting the theory of a deep connection.
The presence of a juke fabric and gold-stitched hood, previously unknown to the public, suggests pre-existing materials used by the Zodiac, which were not widely disclosed.
Critics and researchers note inconsistencies in official records and the lack of response from key figures like Brian Hartnell and Chris Hopkins, indicating possible suppression of findings.
A detailed analysis of handwriting, voice, and location patterns leads to the conclusion that Jack Terrence may be the Zodiac, though this remains unproven.
Summary:
FAQs
Jack's handwriting matches the Zodiac's in key traits, such as even lines, consistent margins, and use of specific spacing. He also uses the same pilot razor pen and writing paper, and his signature style includes combining words like 'wannabe,' which aligns with the Zodiac's known patterns.
Yes, a green metal file box containing a rubber sandwich box, a broken knife, gold buttons, and pilot razor pens—items consistent with the Zodiac's known possessions—was discovered in a storage shed in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Jack's travels and residence locations closely match the geographic proximity of unsolved murders, such as in Arizona, Michigan, and California. These movements suggest a pattern of presence in areas where the Zodiac crimes occurred.
The hood was described as having gold-yellow stitching, not white, as confirmed by FBI agent Chris Hopkins. This detail matches the hood found in Jack's belongings, which was made from a fabric known to exist before the Zodiac murders.
Yes, Jack served in the Air Force and had technical training, including radio operations. He also had experience with mechanics and skinning, and possession of a ham radio license suggests skills in communication and concealment—traits associated with the Zodiac.
Keys with return tags (like GMAC and Shell Oil) were found, with one linked to Southfield, Michigan—a location tied to the Oakland County child killings. This suggests possible connections to crimes in those areas.
