Lemonada. wrote and co-produced a new Netflix film called Best of the Best. And if you weren't aware, please comment and tag an equally ignorant friend below because this movie comes out September 18th, literally in two days. And we need all the views that we can get to satisfy the Netflix algo gods. Also, one more thing. If for some reason you haven't subscribed to Netflix, I recommend the ad free tier. But if you can't afford it, that's cool. Just be prepared to watch a lot of ads for GLP ones and then a bunch of cars that you cannot afford. But hey, it's your life. I just want you to watch this movie. Best of the Best is about the competitive world of South Asian dance competitions. You heard that right, folks. A new dance movie is hitting the timeline. Tonight, only the best move forward. I genuinely cannot wait for you to see the choreography in this film because it is incredible. I cannot wait for you to hear the music mixes because they are incredible. But if I'm being 100% real with you, the thing I am most excited for you to experience is the music. But if I'm being 100% real with you, the thing I am most excited for you to experience is the story at the center of all of it. Because at its core, Best of the Best is about the power of lifelong friendships. And a story like that only works when you have two incredible actors like Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedija bringing that friendship to life. Now, for those of you who don't know, Priyanka is an incredible actor who is stepping into her first lead role on a feature film. And many of you know Maitreyi from her voiceover work on My Little Pony. Maximum sneaky engaged. Oh. And a little show called Never Have I Ever. Now, let me just say this. All of you Never Have I Ever stans, you guys need to chill the fuck out. Half the comments on the Best of the Best trailer are literally just, Devi goes to college, which we know is impossible because Devi isn't at college because we know for a fact that Devi's dead. So instead of me, Hassan, explaining female friendship to you for 10 minutes, I invited them on the show to talk about their experience working on Best of the Best. We're going to jump right into the interview because we covered a lot. I first wanted to know what they thought about Best of the Best. No, I didn't dance. I play a professor in the movie on purpose. I've been telling everyone that you dance in this movie. Don't do that. South Asian representation in our industry. I love who I am as a Tamil alum woman. Through the process of my career, I've only learned to love my identity even more because it makes me who I am. Some unique skills that they brought to set. Why do I have a Hitler mustache? And we got out of the studio to tell the story of the kismet that brought all of us together. You were like, Hey, can you please put in a good word? Yeah. And I was like, I got you. Yeah. I put in a good word. We have receipts. Oh, wait, you actually did say that. And obviously, they both roasted the shit out of me because if I learned one thing from this project, it's that ya boy is officially a YA unk. Ladies and gentlemen, we have Maitreyi Ramakrishnan on the podcast. We're about to do a bunch of junkets together. Yeah. We're going to do the red carpet together. We're going to be asked hard-hitting questions together. You get asked a series of hard-hitting questions that are, quite frankly, kind of idiotic or annoying. You've heard the stupid ones. Who are you wearing? What's new in your love life? I want to hit you with the most important red carpet question that I haven't heard, but you need to answer immediately. Who is the best character in Super Smash Brothers and why? Kirby. Wrong. How is that wrong? Go to the data. You're on my show, Maitreyi. Let's go to the data? Hit it. This is cherry-picked data according to AI. I don't even need to see this. Steve is banned from competitions for a reason. Why? He is the most jailbroken DLC character that you can buy. Okay. He is. He is insane, and it's crazy that a Minecraft character is the best character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. First of all, you didn't specify. Are we talking about Ultimate? Are we talking about Brawl? Are we talking about Melee? You didn't specify. I'm going with Ultimate, the most recent. I'm talking about Legacy because— Maitreyi? I'm sorry. The creator of Kirby is the person who created Super Smash Bros. Okay. Why do you think in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, in the solo plotline, Kirby is the one who saves the day, and that's the first character you start with? Kirby. Now, I'm personally not a gamer. But you have a stream. I do. A stream. Called Twitch. Twitch. Is this correct? Yes. Yes. Who watches your stream, and are they cool? Yeah. My fans are cool. My fans are chill. My mom watches my stream. She's cool. So I'm— Your mom is very cool, but I'm imagining a certain time. What type of person watching your stream? Am I thinking of the right person? And what do they look like? Tell me. Tell me. Paint the picture. There's a breathing pattern? Interesting. Is it predominantly through the mouth? Their mouth. Okay. Yeah. Understood. Yeah. I think that there's definitely a group of them. Okay. Yeah. My moderators have to keep a close eye on that. So how do you do that? Like, do you have a good community of people that watch what you do on the internet? I'm not gonna lie. I have to, like, give credit. My fan base is actually quite large. Like, wholesome. Like, they're all very chill. Like, for the majority of them, they're all very nice. And I constantly remind them that they don't actually know me. This is a parasocial vibe. Right. And they get that concept. But then you get a couple of bad eggs that come in. Yeah. And my moderators will deal with them. But honestly, even sometimes the other fans will be like, ooh, you're weird. Don't say that. And then they leave. That's great. We have a very no-tolerance-for-weirdness policy. So you need to give me advice. Okay. The internet hurts my feelings. Yeah, girl, you're too far gone. Girl, you're lost. What do you mean I'm lost? You've lost again. No, but I intellectually, my trait, I know that I'm either, it's either a 14-year-old or a Russian bot. Okay. But it still hurts. Yeah. How do I not let it hurt me? Wow. How do you not let it hurt you? The 14-year-olds will always hurt. Let the feelings pass. It's like, you know, bad food. Is there any advice you have for elder-washed millennials like myself when we are engaging with the new PC? A piece of technology that wasn't made for us. Take out the millennial pause in your clips. That's going to save you from a lot of hate comments. Okay. Do that first. The millennial what? Oh. Wait, what did you just say? The millennial pause. You know what I'm talking about? No. Oh. Wait, do it. What's the millennial pause? It's like when you do a TikTok video and before the video starts, like the video doesn't start right away with you doing the thing. Uh-huh. You're kind of just standing there and then you start and you didn't edit that part out. Honestly, I know it's not even you editing your videos. You got really good editors. No, I know what you're talking about. That's the thing with like Boomer. They know what they're doing over there. You're safe. You're safe. They know what they're doing out there because the millennial pause is the Boomer parent. It's up there. It's the videos up there. Yeah, that's what you have. But honestly, you do you. Don't let the Russian bot get to you. The 14-year-olds, get again. They will always get to you. Yeah. But just, hey, it's okay. You know who you are, bestie. Maitreyi, do you remember your childhood dreams? Yeah. What was your childhood dream? I wanted to be a unicorn, like as an occupation. That was my first like dream job. Do you know what you've said in other interviews? You did like research and shit. What did you say in other interviews? That I wanted to be an animator. Yeah, you did. You said you wanted to be a Disney animator. Yes. First dream job though was to be a unicorn, actually. That wasn't a lie. That was legit. So I was. A unicorn for Halloween that year. All right, so you couldn't be a unicorn. Yeah. You wanted to settle by being a Disney animator. Yeah, pretty much. Look, we all know you're very talented. Yeah. You're a superstar. I don't know about that. Movie star, TV star. But can you be a Disney animator? No. We're going to put you to the test and prove it. Here we go. I'm going to give you 60 seconds to draw one of these Disney characters, and we will see if they're accurate. Now, during this time. Hang on. That's gross. I will draw a non-Disney character of equal difficulty. No. I know what you're going to do. What? You're going to do your little Husson character. The one with the hair. No, no, no, no. You're all the one, though. No, no, no. I'm not doing my Husson character. I will be doing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which is property of Paramount. Please don't sue me. Okay, who am I supposed to do? Up first, you have Dory from Finding Nemo. We have 60 seconds. Let's go. What the shit? We have other precedents. First of all, that's Pixar. Literally Pixar, bro. Owned by Disney, the parent company. Here we go. Let's go. Oh, my God. Here we go. Bro, I don't know how to do. Why'd you pick Dory? Bam. Go. It's a fish, bro. It's a fish. What's the page underneath that? Don't worry about it. Husson, what's the page underneath that? What's up with your caption, though? Are you. It's not a caption. She's. Bro, she's, like, forgetful and shit. She has, like, Alzheimer's, right? Is it Alzheimer's? No. She doesn't have Alzheimer's. She's forgetful. No, she has a thing, though. Dory is not a character about Alzheimer's awareness. It is not. Let's keep moving. Also, Pixar. But. But this is big Leonardo, I was about to say Leonardo DiCaprio. This is big Leo energy. Big Leonardo DiCaprio, yes. Guys, focus. Next one. Here we go. Tinkerbell from Peter Pan. Here we go. Bro, what kind of bang does she have? I'm freaking out. Growing up, I wanted to be a Disney animator. Okay, prove it. Oh, you don't need the 10? You're all good there? Are you all good? Yeah? Raphael. I'm going to be candid with you. Okay, no, go please. Please, speak your truth, King. That's not Tinkerbell. That's Amelia Bedelia. And you know what? Also a great franchise. It's a great franchise, but that is 100,000% Amelia Bedelia. Thank you. Way too square to be Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell has both a sweetness, but also a devilish sense of play and chaos. That is on some square bear Amelia Bedelia. Why are you body shaming? Ramona Quimby, age eight. Why are you body shaming Amelia? I'm not body shaming. I'm saying this is about their- You're just calling her as a square, like not this- A square bear, which is- Square bear? And a bear is actually, that's a form of allyship. Let's keep going. Okay. All right, all right. Next. Okay, Roz from Monsters, Inc. Roz? Roz. Yeah, yeah, yes, Roz. She's got those beady little eyes. Show me yours. She's kind of giving bird. Let me see. It's just funny. That's actually pretty good. No, it's not. No, it's not. It's dumb. I've given up. I've given up. This is the side of. Who the. Can you please read the caption? I'm so blinded by my glasses. Warp up? Was up. No pepperoni, please. Michelangelo's. Secretly Muslim. Mushrooms and peppers. At most birthday parties I went to as a child, it was always pepperoni. Oh, okay. So I was like, can we just please not get pepperoni? Can we just not do that? That was you. Yes. Oh, that's nice. That's nice. I'm really proud of your. Michelangelo is down to clown of a good time. Yeah. But he also wants to observe his faith. 100%. And that's his right. Last assignment. No jokes. I'm not here to fuck around. I'm not here to, like, troll you. I'm not here to, like, clout chase and get a moment. Draw me. I'm cheating. I'm cheating. I'm sorry. It's just, there's, like, a lot to, like, unpack on that side of the interview. That's not the. First of all, way too long for a Hitler mustache. Okay. So why. Okay. First of all, it says, I love thumble people. Do you not love thumble people? I love thumble people. And why do I. Now I have a goatee. It's gotten worse. Give me the full. Okay. First of all, we all know. Your ears? This is what I look like. Why do you have a turban? That's hair. That's not air. This is what Annie, who works here, she drew this. This is of me. I don't have a turban. That's a super flat turban. It's just. No, it's. I didn't say it was a good turban. But it just doesn't give hair. But I think it. I try to emphasize how you use hair to make yourself seem taller. I notice you do that. And I really admire your commitment to the craft of hairstyling and the illusions that come with the tricks and trades of the beauty industry. Okay. So I really wanted to, you know, give you that. And then also, like, the makeup for men. Let me just, first of all, say this. The makeup for men, which is beards. And brushy eyebrows. Okay. And these are your kicks. The eyebrows are brushy. Those are my kicks. I don't have that. A goatee like that. Abba has that goatee. And I fucking love it on Abba. Abba's her father. And he's a charming man. We kicked it and had a great time at the Slanted premiere. Now I have a full beard. That's more like me. Let's talk about something really important that's an important topic on the internet. Cosplay. You do cosplay. I do. So I have some questions. Okay. Why? Like, why? Cosplay? Yeah. Are you, like, actually asking? No, I can't really. You do cosplay. I have questions. Why? Okay. That's nice. This was put into a document. These are real questions. Good, good. Very good. Okay. Proud of you. I want to do this seriously. Okay. We're being serious. Stop making this a joke. I'm not making it a joke. I'm going to answer. Why? Because, just honestly, it's fun. Like, it's, like, cool. I'm a fan of so many things. You know this about me. I'm, like, a nerd. Okay. And, like, I love being a fan of something to a point where it's like, oh, I, like, get to, like, dress up. I mean, I'm an actor. Like, we wear costumes all the time. Now I get to wear costumes of the characters that I love, especially, like, animated ones. Right. Which is really dope. And I'm here for the people who care about something that makes them happy to a point that, like, you know, they want to, like, express that. You know? Whether that's, like, a cool little bumper sticker for whatever, like, fandom you like or, you know, you're going full cosplay. What's the difference between cosplay and LARPing? I knew you were going to say LARPing. So, you're a LARPer. Wait, what is? Because LARP means, do you know what it stands for? Live action role playing. Yes. Yes. Okay. So, LARPing is actually, like, a thing. It is a thing. Yeah, yeah, totally. But now LARPing is, like, a term, right, on the internet. Okay. As we know. It's a big worldwide web. You are a LARPer. You know why? Why is that? Because at your core. Wait, wait, wait. No, I'm not. Because I know that LARPers are virgins. And I factually am not. And you can fact check this. I have two children that belong to me. So, I have. It's happened twice. It's happened at least twice. That's nice. So, that's. That's false. You're, like, a part-time LARPer. Because you act like, oh, I'm with it. I'm hip. Look at me. But you're a boomer. It's the same way I LARP. You know this. You're a boomer at your core. And I'm LARPing as what? A cool, trendy, millennial, like, I'm with it. Look at my high energy. You're a LARPer. I know. You're always scanning. You do these whipswine little jokes. You stay quippy with it. But I know. You're observing. You're listening. You're one of the most attentive people I know. You listen a little too well. And I respect that. But you're a LARPer. Mm-hmm. All right. Yep. So, let's just rank it then. You're a LARPer when you pretend like you don't care. I'm a comedian that can take the heat. No, you can't. It's very clear that I can't. It's true. I didn't say you LARP well. Everyone knows that I can't. Yeah. If you do cosplay, and now we know where LARPing is, where do medieval times and renaissance fairs rank? God, dear. Different. Broke the scale. Broke the scale. It's above cosplay and LARPing. It's its own thing. It's a legacy. I love medieval times. I think that shit's so funny. Have you been to medieval times as an adult? Like an adult? I've taken, as an adult, taken my children, and they love it. No, you got to go without the kids. Go without the kids. Go with the homies. Yeah. It's fun. It's fun. Get drunk. Go crazy. That's the one. Okay. Trust. Go live your life. Just go there for the vibes with adult money to medieval times. Sure. Yeah. It's its own thing. That's a state of mind. Okay. So you've clearly identified medieval times, renaissance fairs, cosplay, LARPing. We found a photo of you, and I just want to put it up here. Now, is this cosplay, LARPing, Halloween? Or is it just a Tuesday? Not a Tuesday. It has to be either a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday because it was at a convention. Okay. It's definitely not a Tuesday. Okay. That was at the convention. Okay. This is what we call a casual cosplay. That's actually at the convention parking lot. Of course. Yeah. I'm aware. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. It's a casual cosplay, and I know you respect that. Super. It's cool. It's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yeah. I'm on my Donnie shit. The staff is a power move. Thank you. Thank you. I made the mask. It was really hard. So you do fuck with the Ninja Turtles. I take that as a yes. Okay. So this brings us to an important question that everyone with melanin in Hollywood gets asked. This next question is about representation. Anyone with melanin is asked about representation in Hollywood. Now, as you know, people on the internet lost their fucking minds when they found out that Helen of Troy. Helen of Troy was black. But here's a more interesting question that has not been asked. Are the Ninja Turtles black? 100%. Let's take a look. Hold on one second. I got to get this. It's the point. Done. It was the point? Yeah. Done. Yes. Done. It's a wrap. Yep. Did you not think they were black? I always felt they were. Right side of the picture. Yeah. Now, in New York City. I was like, they're either black or they're Dominican or Puerto Rican. Okay. In my head. Yeah. Now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Are you familiar with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? That's some American shit. But I'm aware. I watched it and this was the crowning moment. The Ninja Turtles performed with Busta Rhymes. Let's take a look at the video. And I was like, they're for sure black. 100%. Let me just say this so no one on the internet gets mad. You can't tell me they're Italian. No. No. No. It's just, it's the vibes. There's certain characters in like pop culture that you're just like, you're black coded. For sure. For sure. For sure. Like Knuckles from the Sonic franchise. Black. Splinter? Japanese. Okay. 100% Japanese. Okay. Cool. Let's pivot to, from hobbies to the moneymaker acting. The bread. One of your first roles was Never Have I Ever, which we'll get to. but we'll probably not get to because we don't have time. But you played Priya in the Disney Pixar movie Turning Red. You also did voiceover for My Little Pony, Big Mouth, Twits. I've only done voice work on a Batman podcast and Far Cry 4, but I would like to do more. How would you voice me? So in the booth, when you're, you know, voice acting, even though there's no cameras on you, sometimes it helps to like really get into character. And you know, you got to like move your body. So if I was to be Hassan, you know, I just think like, I have to move my hands when I talk. And there has to be like a little, a rhythm. You know, it's not really about getting the right tone. Cause like I could put my voice lower, but like, you know, I think there's a quip and a little pause here and there. And then there's a little, wait, I'm just, I'm just trying to have an interview here. Okay. And we only have like, sorry, Scott, how much, how much? Oh, we only have, wait a second. We only have 12 minutes. Okay. So I just think this is just how I would do you in the booth as a character. And I hope you feel represented. Oh, wait, PB, can we actually get a real, real quick check on this? Oh, okay. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Awesome. Awesome. Thank you so much. Hey man, we're here for the he's ha ha's. What did you want? What did you expect? You teed me up. What'd you expect? This is racist. Uh-huh. Was it, was it the hand movements? I don't know what it was. What was it? What was it, Austin? At best it's racist. At worst it's fucked up. And at best it's right. So Prashant and I, we spent five years trying to get best of the best made. It went out on spec. Then it goes through the studio system gauntlet where your heart gets broken and it gets ripped apart. Sometimes a project will get shelved. I don't know if we told you this, but you were always number one in our minds. Oh, you didn't tell me that. Wow. But a lot of people don't know this. You actually had to duke this out. Through the studio system. You had to studio test. You had to screen test. You had to chem read. I had to be partial through, impartial through all of it. We're going to let my Trey's merit get this and we're going to see all the options. But in our heart, we wanted you. And then you killed the screen test and you killed the studio test. Why did you say yes? There's many things you could have done. And this particular project, it meant a lot to us. But for actors, you can do a lot of different things. It's true. I never asked you. I was like, you said, you said, yes, you wanted to do this. Having the audacity and the ambition to enter this world of collegiate Bollywood dance. Like what a no brainer. It's kind of a movie that should have been made yesterday. Yeah. You know, if y'all weren't going to make it, I think someone was going to make it, you know, and I'm glad y'all did. It's sometimes hard to bring people on board to see the vision that we know objectively is a really cool, like culture. Like, you know, it's kind of crazy that people can get more fascinated by racing cars and give you like 12 movies. About it or whatever, how many, but like this very real collegiate thing, you know, is somehow hard to understand. I also like racing cars, not shitting on that, but you get my point. Good ideas will always float to the top. It will persevere. Maybe I'm being an optimist about that, but I think it was going to happen at some point, you know, and I'm glad it's happening now rather than later. Cause why wait? I knew that at some point, some movie is going to come out and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. And I was a huge fan. You know this. I was a huge fan of you before I was famous. She admitted it. I didn't know you were going to do that via road mic. I didn't know you were going to do it via road mic. I was a fan, but I always thought like you were really cool. So I want in on this because it's objectively really cool. And I have the opportunity to work with people that I deeply respect who I think are incredibly funny. Yes. But also smart. I'm thinking about Prashant when I say this. I knew this. I knew it was too good. It was too good. I was dropped. I'm joking. I'm joking. You can just call me Mr. King. But there you go. There you go. Well, let me just say this. You got to see an early version of the script and then you got to see changes applied to the script, but you brought so much of your Tamil Sri Lankan heritage to the script and we completely kind of morphed and took your brilliant notes. And we kind of made Maya the central focal point of the movie, but also your Tamil Sri Lankan heritage was this huge part of the movie. I think that's really like beautiful and awesome. The world of collegiate Bollywood dance has been something that existed for over 40 years. We have this thing where all of us kids from the diaspora come from different parts of the diaspora, but we were able to reconcile kind of sectarian lines, state lines, languages, cultures, and then you brought it together. You really insisted that Maya was Tamil Sri Lankan and me and P. V. went back into the script and we kind of infused you and your notes through all of it. And it was a scary thing to do. What if we get anything off? But it was important to us to do it for you. Why was that so important for you to do for this particular movie? Because of the nature of the world that we're entering, where there is so many different South Asian cultures and backgrounds and languages and just nuances. I felt deep like in my soul, because I know like in the beginning it was, I at least felt I was like, okay, let me like pepper my ideas, you know, but I love that by the end of how many like, you know, script calls we had and even just throughout filming, it would just be the shorthand of just like, guys, this is my idea. And like the trust was really solid, which I will never ever take for granted in my career because that's not always the case on a set where you get to be so transparent with a producer and the writer and director, shout out Lena. I love my family and my like cultural history. And I think, through the process of my career, I've only learned to love my identity even more because it makes me who I am. Like I am Tamil as fuck. And that doesn't mean like, I do everything on the textbook page or like, I can't speak Tamil fluently. Not that that's a flex. Like, no, I'm trying to learn, but that doesn't take away my Tamilness. I'm still Tamil 100, you know? For sure. And I know that a lot of people out there in the world resonate with that, whether they're Tamil or not, just people who have cultural pride for who they are, who their parents are, how they are raised. Because at least for me, it really informed who I am, right? You've seen me in my family. So you do this Kuthu dance, which is like a traditional kind of like folk street dance in Tamil culture, and you do it at the frat party. And so for me, the movie was always, could we reconcile all these different identities into this new thing and then paint it on the tapestry of what you would consider like a college movie to be or a frat movie to be? For you to do something that's so core, to your community and like who you are. You know, Amma cried that day on set. Yeah. I was going to tell you that. Yeah. She was very, me and Amma had a moment, me and your mom had this really beautiful. Yeah. And my mom does not cry like that. She does not cry. My mom does not give me a hug like that. But the hug she gave me that day, because Never Have I Ever was such a huge gift. Yes. And the opportunity of that was amazing. And we already broke so many like, you know, glass ceilings through that. It's kind of crazy to think, that we broke another one as like, you know, Thumbel people. I think that moment was like this realization for my mom and I of like, wow, we just broke another glass ceiling. Like this is going to be a moment that's going to be like clipped all over the internet. Not that that's what matters, but it's like, this is a moment that's going to be seen by so many people. And a lot of also young people, older folks that might not have had that moment yet. Yeah. And specifically Thumbel people that are going to watch it and be like, yo, this is Thumbel is fuck. Just like the same way I, and I know Prashanth knows this, same way when I was in high school, well before Never Have I Ever, well before that open casting call. And I was famous when I was just a high school brat. And I was watching Patriot Act while doing my homework. And I thought it was cool as hell. But when the credits rolled and I saw Prashanth's whole long Thumbel name, I was like, holy shit, he's Thumbel. He's Thumbel's fuck. And that for me was one of my first moments of representation. Wow. And I was like, would like, Thumbel man is behind all this. You don't have to compliment him like this. This is too much. He already knows his compliment. I do gas him up. You're number one on the call sheet. You had to go through this crazy gauntlet. And for real, for real, I was like, I already told the studio this, Netflix, you know this, you had this on the record and off the record. I was like, comedy chops there. Heart, are you fucking kidding me? Season four is all about grief and processing it. She's going to fucking kill the drama of this. I'm telling you. But they were like, where's she at dance wise? I'm like, let me do some research. Let me see where she's at dance wise. Let's take a look. This is where you were. What the shit? So I was like, the spunk is there. Do you guys see the attitude? Attitude is there. Charm? There. She's got heart. Footwork. Music. So. You don't like the music? Feet. Thank you. The feet shot. They're moving. Yeah. Yeah. Is it footwork? What's tap dance? Tell me that's tap. Tell me that's not tap. It could be. So now I'm having this combo with the studio. And I'm like, Need I say more? Don't focus. Don't focus on the feet or the rhythm. Focus on what's happening. All that happening on the mug. Yeah. Yeah. Got it. Got it. Got it. Go from lens crafters to the smile, to the attitude, to the arm movement. I think those are my Garfield themed glasses, by the way. Fantastic. Thanks. Even better. Love Garfield. But you had to go through dance boot camp. Yeah. And you had to train for this. Like you were motherfucking Jason Statham. What was that like? Because I don't know what that was. I was in a production office and I was like, I can't dance and I'm not going to judge. Yeah. Real. so she's gonna go batman style okay yeah and train with the league of shadows and come back out what was it like you know when people are like well people would be like oh like what's your favorite dance movie like which one do you relate to like you know like now that you're on this cool journey where you're learning how to dance and there's so many like dance underdog stories like which one do you relate to and all these choreographers that are insanely talented and super successful in the industry internationally recognized are the ones that are training me you know like ask me this question and i was like y'all ever see kung fu panda y'all ever see kung fu panda they're like like the one about the fat panda i'm like yeah that's me i'm poe uh-huh i'm poe you're like master uguay yep right sure you're master uguay you're saying trust the process yeah you know you're gonna fade off into the peach tree yeah or i'm like the duck who's like i'm your dad that yeah low-key maybe like where i'm in the wrong movie i'm sometimes yeah maybe for shots if anything is master uguay yeah you're like my dad you're mr ping you're at the noodle shop i'm mr ping yeah yeah you're like worried are you okay is she eating is she healthy yeah you know what i'm glad you know who you are so you know lena is shifu 100 she's worried she's still trying to root for me but she's worried she's like do we have a movie here right and the rest of the choreographers that were teaching me throughout like that four month long boot camp before we even got to like training yes are all the rest of the furious five and they're also wondering this is who you got for your movie oh my god this is kind of insane yes and i'm poe and i'm just thinking i i'm gonna i'm not gonna lie to you there was those days where i was like uguay what am i doing i can't you know do kung fu like that i'm not the dragon warrior yeah stop giving me like peaches right i just want to eat dumplings a hundred percent and then i learned because i'm poe in this shit but like for real it was tough like and there was a moment where like i couldn't keep up with my body like my brain was able to tell you the choreo but my body couldn't keep up because i just didn't have the stamina yeah and that was like really mentally tough because i felt like bad about my body and then i had to learn the valuable lesson from my furious five choreographers my master shifu i need to give myself grace that i'm not going to just get it right away and i need to build stamina and i need to work at it but if i have the the heart the energy i can get there you didn't just get there you were i i was texting you this when i saw the director's cut when i saw the first studio cut when we were testing the film you had it all everything we've poured into you you've taken that but everything that you've worked for all your discipline all your sacrifice you're away from your family you're putting the whole movie on your back it's the same feeling you have with a loved one when they're leaving the house or they're getting married or they're taking this huge step in their career i can't walk through this door with you and you didn't just walk through the door you fucking kicked it open you killed it i'm so fucking proud of you and i hope you're proud of yourself because you really did an amazing job you fucking have incredible parents but you have an incredible mother growing up in canada someone in your life who's giving you a lot of guidance is amma aka your mom you have said in other interviews that she told you quote be who you are speak up if something is wrong but she also has said don't be a brat yeah now why didn't you take her advice on that because only a brat would do this so so you're learning your choreography yeah you're learning your lines yeah how do you have the time to get photography yeah of me and prashant at video village and then you put it in a meme with graphics that looks like it's a ruavza commercial how did the greats get anything done listen isn't that the question listen isn't that the question listen isn't that the question because i emailed that to my So you're not going to get in trouble. But we just. These are. These would be sentences you would say potentially in a movie. My brain doesn't work in this direction. I understand. But I don't speak. Let's just start easy. Okay. Where's the bathroom? Where is the bathroom? I. Okay. I'll feed it to you in Spanish. ¿Dónde está el baño? I know how to say, ¿Dónde está el baño? Yes. Bathroom. I would just say, the bathroom. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Bathroom. ¿Dónde está el baño? There we go. I'm an English girl. Okay. Like, I'm English. I'm not judging. What is the word for bathroom, though? I don't know. You don't know? So, I'm asking the questions. Okay, fine. Who is your greatest enemy? This is dramatic. Yeah. ¿Tumara sabse bara enemy ko kya bolte? ¿Dushman? ¿Tumara sabse bara dushman kon hai? Yes. ¿Tumara? Is that right? Yeah. Yes. My accent is going to get flamed online. Do you think I'm cool? ¿Tum mujko? No, I was just asking in general. Oh. You're okay. Okay. Why don't you eat meat? ¿Tum meat ke kareem? What's the. I was thinking about that. ¿Tum meat kyu nahi kahte ho? Is it gosht or is it tum non-veg kyu nahi kahte ho? Tum non-veg. Yeah, we would say non-veg. Yeah. ¿Tum non-veg kyu nahi kahte ho? Oh, no. My parents are going to be so disappointed. I'm sending this directly to your parents via WhatsApp. And we're going to do this the raw. I'm going to do the raw video. On a WhatsApp group chat, too? That's fine. Dil wale dulhania le jayenge. There we go. This one's really hard. This one is really, really hard. And I didn't even go to Google Translate. What is a gel manicure? Gel manicure? Kya hai? Okay. I was thinking. I didn't know how I was going to. Can I make a disclaimer to the people? Yeah. Hindi. I'll say it. Yeah, do it in Hindi. Mere mummy aur papa mujhe hindi mein baat karte hain. Lekin mein unse English mein baat karte hoon. Toh hindi mein bolne mein sochna padta hai. Okay? This is great. This is wonderful. I can't just uno-reverse it without any, like, any preparation. Okay? That's not my. I was born and raised in the Bay, bro. Like. Which is. In Little India. Yeah. Hindi is like the second or third language after Spanish. Let's talk about how we know each other. Do you know. Do you know how we know each other? Because we have to talk about the KCC of it. now for those of you that are dodging my marketing posts like neo i am an investor in a chai company called kooka chai company which has numerous flagship locations here in new york city shameless plug shameless plug and not only do they sell tea all over the country shout out to code husson 10 use it at checkout but where's my code we could do priyanka 10 do priyanka 10 i'm worth 10 what do you want give the people 20 at least priyanka 20 use priyanka 20 at checkout you get 20 off but they need to know that i was there first at kcc you were there first i was there first before you got there so before i even knew you were an actor yeah you were just a really friendly person that i would say that i was i was the personality hire i was the girl that served you chai when you come to the cafe you were the personality hire i was the personality hire i think they'll confirm that i earned my keep with a sunny disposition what did you do to make them hire you i am really good at talking to people so on my first day training i think i was like oh that giant vat of oil i'm not i can't lift that physically but i can make a repeat customer out of whoever comes in okay nobody leaves my cafe without a compliment you know that's a great story but why are we talking about it when we can actually live it we're gonna do a field piece so let's go to kcc right now right now let's go okay okay is it fun? I pulled my weight around here i did but where i really thrived was right here nobody left my cafe without a compliment i could make regulars that's a really good skill to have thank you okay we have an order a dirty chai would always have to be this size this is our two ounce measure so we go like this okay boop pop it beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful and then you got to give it a little to really make sure it's all mixed up in there i will be honest i will i will be honest that's delicious what i tell you you still got it you're welcome back any day anything we were we were working the deli boys event they're like premiere party and i was standing right here and um the stars were right here and i was talking to them and you went priyanka could you just get out of the shot real quick and you know what i am you know what i am i stood right here and this was my villain origin story and i said one day i'm going to come back here as an actor and he won't be able to tell me to get out of shot your experience of you working here is very different from our experience of you working here i just want to put that put that out there i was telling them every time you came in you would say something like so what's been up and i'd go good uh-huh and i'd be like same did you know that she was an aspiring actress no no i just knew she had she always had i always had a cap on yeah i was trying to be the cute neighborhood barista yeah in my cute little outfits that photo exists i'm gonna i'm gonna fight yes i'm like in pigtails yeah all right what happened when you guys found out priyanka got like submitted a tape to best the best you have receipts yeah about what because you were like hey can you please put in a good word yeah and i was like you're like i got you yeah yeah i put in a good word i slacked pb i was like hey there's any upcoming roles or whatever our staff member is one of our staff is like aspiring actress and wants to get into the industry like let us know and then when you submitted your tape i said i like priyanka kedia bold we have receipts oh wait you actually did say that damn i need this i by the way i need this for i need this for family arguments i need to be like flying the receipts our very talented cafe staff bold priyanka kadia that's really sweet and i didn't know you actually did that priyanka this is major there's critical context that's not being put i got to do a whole episode on this first of all so low-key this isn't this is important with the pitch very low-key rv talented very talented v talented staff priyanka kedia bold has auditioned for the other lead for best of the best another heart emoji from breshawn she works at the cafe and wanted me to put a good word in she's auditioning for quote anjali end quote and that's all she wrote just wanted to flag her for you and if y'all have any notes or whatever more than happy to pass it along i was always trying that was really sweet that's your first time yeah well i just he was he was like he was like yeah i said something and i was like okay i just had yeah that's very good it's really good 24 it's good okay it's good under 26 and we're okay girl your memory is very good yes check that out now we have this year we have a chai butter song so we were like going through audition tapes and yours stood out as we were like oh my god this person's amazing i say you're stood out yeah and then when your name came up hassan on the call we were like going through our top picks from like that latest round of auditions and then he was like you know priyanka works at the cafe and i was like what are you talking about and i've totally served you chai before for sure yeah sure probably and he was like she literally works as a barista at the cafe at kcc and i was like what this is crazy i was like what are you talking about then when i looked back at my slacks with ayan and ani like months ago they had hit me up and said that someone from their cafe is auditioning and netflix was going through the tapes and then they saw your tape and also loved you and it started we started to be like oh my gosh this might be our person this might be our person and it was kind of mind-blowing because we were like it was truly one of the craziest coincidences that i've ever seen in my life the craziest coincidences ever and we're back uh i realize yeah that track we probably should have filmed that before and then thrown to said piece but alas totally now i know the kcc of it all probably feels like a cinderella story to you but you have been grinding take us through your acting journey because you got your first job in college shout out to tish nyu and you performed around different new york city schools as an actor yes so here's my question okay what is scarier performing for netflix execs or middle schoolers in the greater new york city area schoolers in the bronx is way scarier what happens what do they do no they're just like you just have no idea what you're walking into like i was doing shakespeare i was doing romeo and juliet for middle schoolers and high schoolers all over new york and you kind of are just like are they gonna like boo me off the stage but they were actually surprisingly super into it and when romeo and juliet kissed for the first time you would think that like bts had just walked into the room like if i have a video and the entire auditorium like stands up and cheers and screams and like we couldn't get through the rest of this these are eighth graders these are like yeah eighth graders they were actually adorable and they they understand a lot more than you think they will and we had the sweetest kids that would come up to like the fryer after and they'd be like hey fryer like i just had to tell you man like what you said to romeo that really hit me bro and i was like that's beautiful that's what shakespeare's supposed to be you studied at the royal academy of dramatic arts in london is that right yeah okay so can you do a british accent no yeah you can not a very good one well can i can i do it for you i can tell you an experience i had with my clowning teacher at the royal academy of dramatic arts so everyone there loves to name drop and say things that never happened so one time he was like this is like a really eccentric old british man and he goes tom hiddleston came up to me once and he said i'm trying to do this monologue and i just i can't get it jeremy what would you have me do yeah and i said tom it's because you're doing this and what you need to be doing is this and he looked up at me with tears in his eyes and he said jeremy you've done it again never happened uh-huh never happened but he was giving you this that's what i learned at the royal academy of dramatic arts and since then yeah this is the good part yeah you've been high-key popping off right now you are getting press as a hollywood rising star oh you're in vogue that was crazy that is crazy that was crazy and as much as i would like to take credit for this you were just in disclosure day directed by the one and only steven spielberg so i have to know what is it like working with the director of our time he's an angel you know actually a story about steven is he i love it love it he called me over on my last day and he said something that is so sweet to me that i think i would like get tattooed and keep with me forever but for me it's just i don't know how to describe it but it's just so sweet to me and i love it and i think it's so sweet to me and i love it and i think it's so sweet to me and i think it's so sweet to me and i think it's so sweet to me and i told him i'm going to do this movie with hessa minaj called best of the best and he goes yeah yeah yeah okay and i go just thank you so much for having me like i can't believe i get to be here and he goes um he goes you know i i hand pick every single one of you he goes i watch your tapes and within 10 seconds i know if someone has the sparkle and that's how i decide and i watched your tape and you had the sparkle what'd you do after this conversation i just cried probably i don't know i like floated for the rest of the day damn hey do you know who riz Ahmed is yeah okay great i watched bait i loved it loved it too pv shout out pv hey story editor you one of the things that we like to do when we have british actors on and as we know you studied at the royal academy so you are part british part yeah um i'm going to give you a line of dialogue i will We'll then set up four different different scenarios to say that line of dialogue. Now the first three you can totally do in whatever accent you want, but the last one I need you to go full British. Here we go. I have never claimed to be able to do any of this by the way. Your line of dialogue is, I guess that biochemistry course came in handy after all. I guess that biochemistry course came in. Are you typecasting me as Indian? No, you could be a multi-ethnic person that's good at STEM. Why can't I say, I guess that humanities major, that English degree. Why can't I say that English degree? Go for it. We'll go for it. Here is the prompt. You are an investigative journalist at the New York Times and a crucial piece of information has come out and it's hit your desk and it breaks the story wide open. You crack a smile and you say. I guess that humanities degree came in use after all. What was that? I like the nod. Okay. You stand in a field, okay. Frozen with awe as a ramp lowers from an alien spacecraft to reveal a being unlike anything you have ever seen before. You whisper to yourself. I guess that Humanity's degree came in handy after all. You can't laugh at the end. We were right there. I was in the scene with you. It's hard not to. You just found out your best friend kissed your boyfriend, who you are deeply in love with. With the fire of a million suns, you say. Goddamn. Love triangle activated. Why'd you kiss my boyfriend, Hudson? Here we go. Hard pivot. It's time to go to the UK. You are a British World War I nurse. You've been shot. Okay. And as you are dying in your lover's arms, your last words to him are. That's how I would die. I want to die in a movie. Can we do best of the best to the sequel, but I get to die? A dance to the death? Yeah. Prank, I got to say, I love it. BBC, call her. Best of the best. Coming out two days after this interview. For some reason, there is footage of every South Asian child from a very young age dancing at different occasions. Yeah. No, we get down. We get down. Do you remember how I said I have a surprise for you? Yeah. Okay. Me and your brother, Hirsch, are quite close. Yeah, you keep rubbing that in my face, actually, a lot. Shout out, Hirsch, my king. Shout out to Hirsch, my king. Yeah. Hirsch sent me some files. No. And I would like to- Oh my God, no, please, no, please, no, please, no, please, no. Drop them. Why are you doing this? Wait, I did not approve this. Let's take a look at some of these videos in an order of cuteness. Let's start with number one, Priyanka as a baby chidia. Let's take a look. Oh, okay. Okay, so tell me what's happening here. This is really cute, actually. This one is, I thought you were going to pull out something really embarrassing. These are cute. These are just polichuria. Yes. I am dancing. I get all dressed up. Yes. I've got my churia on. I would make my mom go back and pause and keep restarting until I was in position. Okay. And then I would have to dance along to Kareena Kapoor. She sticks her hand out from behind the wall to start, if you're familiar. And then I would have to dance along. I think I demanded this regularly. Okay, so this is a full circle moment. What does it feel like seeing this footage of you dancing? And the fact that you dance to it in the movie. No, it's crazy. It's crazy. I was like, I was so, I mean, I just remember hearing Polichuria in the mix for the first time. And I was like, wait, that's our song. And they were like, yeah, you're dancing to this. It was like, me, I'm dancing to this part. And I mean, yeah, that holds a special place. That felt really crazy. Hey, it's Julia Louis-Dreyfus from the Wiser Than Me podcast, among other things. And I've got a little holiday wisdom for you. Hosting during the holidays means lots of cooking. And that means your trash is going to be full of smelly, rotting food. Yuck. So here's the wisdom. Get a mill food recycler. I did. We've had ours for years and it has totally transformed our kitchen. It's unbelievable how much cleaner everything is now. Plus, it's so easy to use. You toss in basically any food you don't eat. Peels, pits, meat, dairy, bones. Last year, we put in a whole turkey carcass. This year, we put in a whole turkey carcass. While you sleep, Mill automatically dries and grinds all your food waste down to about a fifth of its size. That means at night, you can fill it after a big, elaborate dinner. And by morning, there'll be room for breakfast. Nothing rots, nothing stinks, no fruit flies. And my favorite part? No more of those gross, drippy, mid-dinner garbage runs. If you want a cleaner, calmer kitchen this holiday season, go to mill.com slash wiser for an exclusive offer. That's mill.com slash wiser. Happy hosting. Kill him. This is all provided by the people who love you the most. Humiliating. This is, listen, we just did what we were told, okay? So, so what's happening right now? I don't know. I couldn't explain it to you. You have to explain it because I've been sitting on this footage now for weeks. So this is Greece, but it's set, it's set place in Mumbai. I have no idea. Was this a big performance? I think that was just a regular one. Really? I think we would just. That was like a class showcase or something. You don't know what the vibe was after this? I have no idea. I have no memory. I blocked it out. Clearly it was traumatizing. This one. No, there's more. Was just called Priyanka close up in a group dance. mov. Let's take a look. Turn it off, please. Turn it off. Confidence. Prowess. Power. Power. I confidence. I don't know what to tell you. Boldness. Yeah. Courage. Courage that I'm not feeling in this moment right now, but yeah. Can you please give me context? Who, what, when, where, why? Again, I could not tell you anything. That was one of hundreds of humiliating things we did. But what about the friendships we made? The stories we told? No, a beautiful group of people. We were like trauma bonded. Okay. Because we would come to these dance classes. Like. On weekends. It would be like 12 hours and you would just get yelled at and harassed basically. But you did it for the love of the sport and because your parents were driving you to Fremont. So you had to kind of go along with it. Y'all are into it though. Austin, let's play it back. There's, I mean, y'all are moving. That is listen, damn body roll. Look at that body roll. Listen, there was no technical training involved in this. It was like a community. Yeah. It was like a community dance thing. Like you were just, don't throw shade at Fremont dance. Classes. We have enthusiasm. We have vibe, spunk moxie. Yes. Yeah. This is how we connected with our community. Yeah. Those people are awesome. Some of them are getting married now. Oh my God. This is the last one. Okay. Thank God. There's footage of me dancing at weddings. There's footage of all of us dancing at weddings, but there's a particular character in this video that I want you to personally identify, please. As you know, I am a comedian. But I'm also doing investigative reporting right now. Let's take a look. This is called Priyanka wedding video dot MOV. Wait, please watch. My grandma. Ew. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Can this please be done? So is that Nani or Gabi? I'm never coming back here. Is this Nani or Gabi? This is Nani G. Okay. So this is Nani G. This is Nani G. Okay. So this is Nani G. This is Nani G. This is Nani G. This is Nani G. This is Nani G. Okay. Okay. So let's talk about this real quick. Here we go. Austin, can we play it one more time? Why? No. Austin, wherever you are, don't do that. Stop. It's already been played. So quick time is on. So this is. So. What would you like to know, Hassan? So most South Asian mothers have iPads that they can record and watch us through. Yeah. What was. So is Dadi a part of the dance or is Dadi. No. okay she's adorable she is doing the blessing thing you come up to people and you bless them okay so she was waiting for her moment to bless you yeah i'm really mad about this and i'm not talking to you ever again. So look, I embarrassed you and I feel bad. Do you? I don't think you do. I really love you, Priyanka. I will be vulnerable and open up my treasure trove of memories. Totally. And you can ask any question you want. Wait, really? Any question? Yes. Or roast me or inquire further. Let's take a look. Okay. Um, Did Bina know you when you made this? Yes. She's in all the photos with me. Did you, like, Photoshop these? This was it. No, no, no. Did you, like, slide this under her doorstep with, like, a severed ear and, like. You know what? She's hot. She's hot. I married her. I got the government involved and everything. I had paperwork. Yeah, I just want to inquire about the facial hair situation on the top right. What's wrong with the goatee? There's. Yeah, it's a goatee. Yeah. I think that's what I've noticed. Are you familiar with the R&B star Craig David? From Britain, where you're from. From Britain. From Britain. From the UK. He's from the United Kingdom. No, I'm not familiar. Pop star. I'm only seeing what's in front of me right now. Pop star Craig David had brown boys in a chokehold between 2001 to probably 2005. Did you identify as a pop star? I identified as someone who was. Who could have a goatee? What did she think about it? I have not asked her about the goatee, but I think. I think it was cute. Was it because of or in spite of, you know, is the question. Her falling in love with me. Yeah. So the goatee is the main problem for you here. I think that's my main issue. Okay. Well, more just that it's like barely there. It's like go pick one. But that was the whole thing. It had to be like. It had to be like. Thin and mysterious. Thin is never a word I would like love to hear. For a goatee. when describing facial hair in general. A big reason why Prashanth and I wrote Best of the Best was to highlight stories that weren't told when I was your age. And I want. I wanted to ask you, because I've never gotten the chance to be part of a project that is entirely South Asian in its cast from the top to the bottom and in front of the camera and behind the camera. So I wanted to know what was it like to have a cast like that and to have an entire group of people kind of have a shared common language? I mean, it was insane. It doesn't come around that often to be part of a project where. Everyone on set has like a shared understanding of what it means to be here right now. It's like everyone has hustled. Everybody has had the door slammed in their face. Everybody has heard no. Everybody has struggled to see themselves represented anywhere. And then all of a sudden, all of us get this really beautiful moment where everyone is being celebrated. And I think you could feel that joy in every second of every day on set. Yeah, I would see these moments. So Lena would basically go from behind the camera and then walk on set and talk to you and my tray. And you'd be hiding from our AD. Yeah, I would be hiding. She's awesome. Hi, Karen. Hi, Karen. But I would be hiding for two reasons. Number one, I have ADHD and I will go on a tangent. You're very familiar with this. But there'd be a moment where like my heart would be so warm in that moment because not only is Lena an incredible director, but she's talking to two South Asian leads. She's this incredibly talented, passionate director. That for sure has a shorthand with you guys. What was that like for you? I mean, it was so special. First of all, Lena's incredible and she's amazing. And from the beginning, she made it clear how excited she was to be making something about a female friendship and how important that was to her. So a lot of the time when we would huddle, we would just be bringing it back to that. You know, she would just be like, just remember that feeling when like, you know, like remember that time. So it was, if anything, I think being a South Asian woman and knowing what having other female friendships is like in this space. Like the very unique kind of love. And we've talked about like female friendship as a whole is so complex. It's so messy. It's like beautiful and raw and your heart is on your sleeve and it gets hurt, but you just love each other so much. Like there's so many complexities in it. So I think it was really special to have a female director, especially who would understand that and be able to always bring it back to that. I was having fun while. Yeah. Well, I think I also asked you to stay away from me because I was like, every time you'd come up to me and you'd be like, I'm so proud of you. And then I would just start sobbing and then makeup would have to come full soccer dad, full soccer dad. But I just was like, oh my God, Hasan Minhaj just told me he's proud of me. Like I can't realistically be expected to finish anything else today. I was too soccer dad. I was hard on the guys, but I was a soccer dad. It was really sweet. I'm just proud of you and I want you to do amazing. And I just want you to do so well. What are you most excited for people to see in this film? I really, we keep talking about it, but I am so excited for there to be such a powerful example of female friendship. In mainstream media, because I am someone who has built my life around female friendships. That's always been the core relationship in my life. All through college, high school, even post-grad. The trips I take are with my best friends. Like I think female friendship is so, so, so special and is such a pure relationship that enables you to grow, like grow up together in such a special way. And I think a lot of times in my life, I felt really frustrated. With the narrative that relationships are the only valuable, like romantic relationships are the only valuable relationships out there. Yeah. When I think female friendship has so much to offer and so I think to see that in a way where that really is the core of the movie, I want that to be an example for people and I want them to see like, you can, you can build your life around female friendship. Like it can take center stage in your life. It is valid and it's beautiful and the boys can be, the boys can be hanging out in the background. You know, you can have your romantic relationships, but you can prioritize. There's a world in which you choose to prioritize your friendships. Yeah. I'm really jealous of this. One of the things you have to do on the press line is describe things with extreme brevity. So describe your experience of working on this film in three words. Good. Fun. Hard. Two words. Good. Fun. One word. Good. One syllable. Okay. Woohoo. No, that's two. Woo. That's, that's two. Woo. Yeah, woo. A little onomatopoeia for you. Girl, what's next for you? What do you, what, what's your answer to that? Because I always kind of like have an existential stare into the distance. You're like. Yeah. What is next? I have an indie film I'm doing soon that I'm really excited about. I would love to get back to my roots. I would love to do some theater. Stage. I would love to do some Shakespeare. Love it. Some Broadway. I just want to make things I'm proud of. I want to do some weird dark comedy shit. If you're. Yorgos Lanthimos. If we can get him on the phone. Yorgos. Yorgos. I love the lobster. I loved poor things. I want to. Let's get weird. Weird and dark. Let's get weird. Best of the best is partially for the girlies. Yeah. And I will be honest. For the girls? Yes. You and my trey have taught me a lot about that category. I'm listening and I'm learning. Do you remember when I taught you how to use she? Yes. Can you try it? It was in regards to like. Like, like your mug. An inanimate object. Yeah. You were like. You'd be like. She's here. Yes. Yes. Or you would say like. It could be like the chair and you're like. She's ready. Yes. Yeah. Good job. But then it could also be like earth. Mm-hmm. Where it's like. She's giving. She's giving. She gives so much. Yeah. But it could also be about you. If we wanted it to be. She's here. She's here is one. Okay. Now how would you say this blue shirt? How would you describe her? She's there. Okay. Do you have any questions? For me? Really? Yeah. Okay. Can you just be present with me? No. It's impossible. Eye contact. Tell me something. This is really hard for me. I know. Tell me something meaningful. Something that's important to you. Today was my son's first day of first grade. Oh my God. And I walked him into his classroom. And there were three rules written on the board. Okay. What were they? Number one, put your backpack in your cubby. Number two. Number three, sit down at the table and introduce yourself. And number three, write your cubby card. Write your cubby card? Yeah. There's like a card that goes above your cubby. What do you have to write on it? Your name and something fun. What would be on your cubby card? Probably say H-M and like kind of like the Stussy font. It'd be like H-M. Like a little basketball. Like this. Basketball. H-M. What do you think is the meaning of life? To love and be loved in return. Cool. What did you think? Of the drama between Charlie XCX and Taylor Swift? I think that it's a bit unfair. I think that certain parties were brought into it that shouldn't have been brought into it. And I feel like there is a disturbance in the force not because of it. Cool. If you were to get canceled again, what would you hope it was for? I would hope that it's for something really amazing like wire fraud. Tax evasion. White collar crime. Tax evasion. Something about accounts overseas. Yeah. I love when people say that. Something like that. Something like that. That'd be great. I aspire to be a white collar criminal. Correct. Yeah. That's the Indian dream. That's the real Indian American dream. Indians. As bad as we want to be. Wait. We need to make that. Yeah. A TV show. Yeah. It's been my North Star for a long time. Oh. Ha ha ha. Priyanka. Priyanka. Okay. We have like three other things we have to do. That was great. Anything you want me to pick up or are we good?
