The Snack: You Can See Everything, Love is Blind, and Press Secretary Picks
1h 7m
The episode blends personal updates, political critique, and cultural commentary. The host shares excitement about moving into a new home and the emotional journey of fostering and rehoming dogs, highlighting the success of two out of three fosters. A central focus is on the political failures of the Trump administration, particularly the short-lived appointment and abrupt removal of Press Secretary Katie Zaichariah, which the host sees as emblematic of a broader pattern of dismissing women in public office. The episode also critiques the current state of men on reality dating shows like *Love Is Blind*, describing the season’s participants as unserious, ideologically extreme, and poorly matched, especially in Boston. The host laments the lack of genuine emotional connection in relationships formed through the show, contrasting it with the intelligence and depth of the women involved. Meanwhile, a positive note is the announcement of *Girls*’ reboot with the original cast returning, which the host sees as a hopeful return to authenticity and storytelling. The episode concludes with a fun, community-driven segment on doppelgangers and a deep dive into the Netflix documentary *You Can See Everything*, which explores Elizabeth Holmes’ story, noting its cultural impact and overwhelming demand, despite limited depth in the film’s narrative. Throughout, the host maintains a tone of both humor and sharp critique, blending personal life with broader societal issues.
This week on the snack, love is blind Boston, government fails and you can see everything. This is a cheerleader production. Enjoy! Hi guys! Hi guys! I am coming you for my new house. So, moving report, I moved in. I will talk about it on the episode on November 2nd and it is a wild journey. I think about it every day. I don't know what to do. I'm still processing the drama, but we're in and we love the house. But some shit went down and I'm going to share as much as I feel comfortable legally. There's two kind of separate parts of the story, but I'm gonna share on the second. And so this is like what will be my office is not set up yet. There's nothing in the walls. I'm really sorry, but you know, the lighting is good. And I just wanted to give one more quick update on the dog fostering a journey of mine that Zizu, our first foster, has been adopted. Oh, kidding. I know what I said. I mean, this is text yesterday with like him and his new dad. I was like sobbing and then a Cody of course has been adopted. And then we're still weighing on gumball. So those are the three fosters that we've had. So we're two for three. I like lost it Raina for Zizu. Like our first one and we were worried he wasn't gonna get a dog because he's older and it's just oh my god. I was just like really joyful moment. You guys are really doing the Lord's work. I wonder if any of our girlies adopted them. If anybody like found them through your Instagram, I don't know. I mean, I don't the older couple that adopted Cody probably not. I mean, who's to say, but regardless, I think that we're helping and like amplifying them. We're taking all the photos that they post for them. Yeah. So, you know, we were helping. We're doing our part. So gumball is still out there. My update is so I will be in LA next week. We will not have an episode on Monday. We have like a very, very busy couple days coming up at my house sold. So I I have not been able to sit out loud until like the million pieces of paperwork were signed. So I am flying to LA. I have junk removal coming. I moveers coming, cleaners, all these things. But I have finally sold the house. So we will be together, which I'm really excited about. Yeah. No, I've been sold on Monday. But this will have another episode next Thursday. So I'm coming out there and excited. We'll make videos of everything of Ashley's new house and me moving out of my house and all that for you guys. It's so funny. Like it was weirdly aligned in the worst way that you're going to be fully gone. And I'm I'm taking your patio furniture. So, you know, oh my god, I'm so glad you told me that I was going to have junk removal come to do that. Okay, I'm so glad you told me this bitch. You know, I was over there with the tape measure. You knew we were taking that furniture. I wasn't sure. I'm so glad to go to good home. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay. We figured out. Okay. I will think our partners and, you know, just follow along on our journey. You know, um, Ash has and Rated Ockeringberg. All right. Thank you to revolve, get 15% off your first order at revolve.com/gge with code gge and new sort of GLP1 program for $39 and have it delivered in as little as seven days at newcom and instant hydration at 40% off your prescription order at instanthydration.com/gge with code gge. And thank you to Columbia. Get your hands on an amazed puff jacket at Columbia.com and no CD if you're struggling with OCD book a free 15 minute call at no CD.com. Okay. We are going to kick it off with a walk that shit back report. Reina, is that correct? Is that what you want to call it? I was so delirious on the plane yesterday, but I was like, oh, she nailed it. Oh my god. Okay. So this is something you came up with when your brain was not your own. We're going to go with it. All right, guys, here's the walk that shit back report from Reina on no sleep on an international flight. Oh, my, I was so fucked up. This is also brought to you by our government. Obviously, most of it, most of it. Last week Katie Zachariah was named press secretary. Um, she was brought in to replace the former press secretary. And she was out sit after five days. She had one of the most fascinating first days at work. I've ever seen in my life. I mean, I know the public speaking really, it's probably most people's biggest fear. It's bigger than dying. But if that is the job, you are hired for it. Like no one comes to see me do stand up. You do stand up. And it's like, stand up hard. They're like, well, that is the job. You have one job. So I saw her and immediately I was like, Trump hired her because she says type. She's hot. She says exact physical type. Like I heard Caitlin Collins talking about that he hired her because of this and that. And I trust in Caitlin. But no, we hired her because he wants to fuck her. Like she's a hot or Ivanka, you know, like he hired her because she was hot. And she's been on Fox News. Like she has claimed to be a lawyer attorney, which has since come out. She's not technically. She passed the bar. So that's like one part, I guess, of why they sort of also went to technically get rid of her. Also, she had poor ratings. Also, she bombed. But I mean, I don't know what their exact reasoning is. But I mean, she's not a lawyer. She's been saying she is. I'm more of a lawyer than her right now. I feel like I speak much more eloquently. And I'm better informed and much better spoken as an attorney than she is. But Rainer, her first press conference. I mean, you guys have seen it. It was last week right after we recorded. We don't really need to like totally rehash it. But the way she starts and she goes, good morning. So I did so much like me and my mom. Like it was literally, I felt it because I was like, wait, that's how I say good morning. Like that's how me and Sydney has a good morning. The way she said it, it was so me coded. And then she was fighting for her life and she kept taking these big sides. Like after she stumbled through a sense, she would be like, and it just felt relatable. Like she was fighting. She was fighting for her life up there. Actually, it was like leave Katie alone. Leave Brady alone. And I loved every second. I was like, this is the first last time she's ever going to do this. But I have been entertained. I am actually sad. Listen, he took her out of there not because she didn't pass the bar, which she clearly didn't. But like you could have you could have won Google search known that she didn't pass the bar outside of China. But like I was kind of hoping he'd leave her in there for a little bit longer. And it was for so funny. Like he took her out of there because she embarrassed him. Say what you about Caroline Levitt, but she she's psycho. She's good at that job. She is great at that job. She's not something that I think is a good person or should have that job, but she is good at that job. This girl, man, we were robbed of some really great comedic moments. They yanked her so quick. And I'm sad about it. I'm sad about it. And you know, I don't want to get too deep with it. Famous last words. I just have mixed feelings on the way they set women up to fail with this administration. Like they just put them in front of the public and then discard them. And again, the women who carry water for the patriarchy should be the first to drown. And like you are acting against your own best interests and the best interests of all women. So like this is what you get. But like I just hate the message it sends that women can't do their job when these men are still employed. Like cash, Patel and pedags that still have their jobs and the women all have to go. So I just wanted to say that. But yes, it was funny. I loved all these memes. Like I've had leftovers in the fridge longer than Katie Sacriot's press secretary. I've had someone to message me right now. And the way I don't know what she was referring to, maybe my incident that happened in college, but she said maybe too soon, but I've had a tampon in longer than Katie Sacriot's press secretary. Ashley always finds a way to tell me that story every couple of months that she had a tampon in for days. Every couple of months, she's like, "For me that time? Yeah, remember, it's burned into my brain." But I need to get a circle back to the world that DM me, which did she mean too soon, because this happened when I was 19 or too soon because of Katie. It was like very funny regardless. Because the tampon was longer than that. Mine was, I've waited for a text back longer than Katie was press secretary, but I just really loved those. And yeah, I wanted to see more, but I wanted to ask you who you think should be next, because as we record, they have not selected another press secretary. So I want to, I have three picks, and I want to, here you are, sorry. I'm happy to see you. Okay. Did you pick real picks or did you pick like fantasy picks? Matter of fantasy picks. You pick people that could actually qualify for the job? Who, what qualifications are needed? Great point. Okay. Anybody could do this job. Okay. So I picked who I would be most entertained by. I picked who I thought Trump would pick because they would be good at it. And then I have like my top tier number one, like meet in the middle pick. So I would enjoy just like dealing with all these people DJing all this Andy Cohen and Chris Jenner. I don't want them in the Trump administration, but exactly. That's just who I personally would like to watch. Who I think the Trump administration would pick is a toss up between Anna Delvey. She can't give a straight answer. I mean, she is Caroline. I love it. I can't help it. Okay. Okay. Anna Delvey, Elizabeth Holmes. Yes. Also, can I give a straight and Bethany Frankl? Just the number one gas lighter on the internet. Bethany is so good. I know. I know. Okay. Here's where I think they all converge for me who I think would do a great job, but take it really seriously. But I'd be entertained by it is Martha Stewart. I just think she'd like take no shit. Okay. Yeah. And I don't think that she would work for Donald Trump. I do obviously say that. Okay. So on the note of a Bethany style, this is who I think would absolutely crush it. Hot blonde, lying ass gas lighting, bitch. Christine Quinn from Selling Sunset. Oh my god. Oh my god. She would be so good. That's so good. So good. Caroline, love it could never. The look, the vibes, the line, the gals, the poise. What's she up in for work every day? Oh my god. The outfits. Okay. So I actually don't want her to, she'd be too good. So we
But like that would be the person who accreted the most. I mean, Caitlin Upton, who was Miss South Carolina teen USA 2007, who people were comparing Katie Zachariah to, they thought that to it was, if you guys remember, the question was recent polls have shown a fifth of Americans can't locate the US on a world map. Why do you think that is? I remember watching this live in 2007. She responded, "I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps. And I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and the Iraq everywhere, like such as, and I believe that they showed our education over here in the US should help the US or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq in the Asian country so we will be able to build up our future for our children." "I mean, to read the transcript, I won't rush back." OK. And then lastly-- [LAUGHTER] --lastly is Susan Dell, because I want to see that robot work malfunction up there on the podium. So those are my pecs. Honestly, and like anything could happen, because if they are willing to put Katie Zachariah in there in this position, they are willing to do anything. The limit does actually not exist. 100%. So Anna Delby actually might have this job next week. They might pardon Elizabeth Holmes just to give her the job. Hear me out, Christine Quinn. I love it. OK. Moving along to the next government fail, Trump calls off the live stream of the Fort Hood attacker's execution by firing squad. So Pete Hegseth has been threatening to live stream the execution of this prisoner. Trump-- I don't know after how many days-- finally walked this back and said many very good, very wonderful, very amazing people would not want to watch this, so we're going to not do this. Yeah, there was backlash on both sides, of course. It's not Call of Duty. You absolute freak, Pete Hegseth. But yet he keeps his job. Treats the country like it's his war fantasy video game. We're going to live stream public execution like we're Iran or there's like three countries, Afghanistan. There's like three countries that do this. And everybody was like, absolutely fucking not. So yeah, anyway, I mean, that was a rough couple weeks when that was on the table. There's FCC laws about what you can and cannot put on television. So I don't know how they thought they were going to get around these FCC laws. I don't know where they were going to stream this. Were they going to stream it on the Pentagon's website? Was it going to be like, what's Charlie Kirk's? Trump also has his own TV thing now. I mean, yeah, it wasn't going to air on ABC right now. But I mean, I think they were going to figure out a way to do it. I mean, the dark web. I don't know. I don't know. And it was never going to happen. So I mean, I feel like almost like embarrassed I even got riled up about it. But I mean, also anything is possible with this administration. So yeah, but you never know. And I feel like they use the FCC to their own benefit. And it's like who's to say what's legal and what's not? Jimmy Kimmel is going to be taken off air for saying certain things about the Trump administration. But Shane Gillis can call women whores. And yes, we can also murder them on TV. Yeah, but it was never going to be on a TV network. But like, where were they going to stream? Like Kimmel, they couldn't air an interview on Kimmel. They put on YouTube. Like the internet has different roles. Like it was never going to air on TV. Like turning point USA, I was going to put it on their website. Something, it was never going to be on TV right? Actually, you don't know. I don't know who to say. OK, well speaking of what is actually on network TV is dancing with the stars. And I've watched it on and off. This has been really spicy season. Like there's just a lot of shade. I watched these recaps after the episodes on TikTok. And I mean, you know, I feel like I stopped watching when Sierra got eliminated. I was so fucking pissed about it. And I talked to her last week about it. I saw her at this party, which I'll talk about the party. But I just, I couldn't help myself. Like, Sierra, I was just so fucking furious. And we kind of got you talking about the politics of everything. And so, you know, after that, I was just like, I'm just kind of out because she was doing so great. She was improving week after week. She was like really starting to come into her own and have fun. And she got eliminated. And there's just like mediocre white men that are still on the show or at least we're on the show after that. So it's just been a spicy season. Lots of controversy. And the latest is that Val, one of the pros who is dancing with Jenna Dewan. - Yes. - And Jenna Dewan. - His wife is also a pro. She's Jenna Johnson. She's dancing with Harry Shum Jr. So Carrie Ananaba really criticized his Jenna's, Jenna and Harry's dance. And then Val, being her husband, went on TikTok and posted a mirror selfie overlaid with the text that said you almost saw fresh prints enter the ballroom last night. Alluding to the slap because Will Smith slapped Chris Rock over what he said about his wife. And Carrie Anan, I guess, posted it was like, this is what we're doing now. And so they suspended him for a week. - So he says that what he meant was to like take my wife name out of your mouth thing. And it's like, I mean, I guess that's it could be the truth. It could also be a convenient excuse. I think the thing that we all remember from that moment is the physical violence. And secondarily, the take my wife's name out of your mouth. - I'm so with you. I don't think he was like, I'm gonna slap, Carrie Anan. You know, I think he knows better. But I also think if he would have just posted a meme that said keep my wife's name out of your mouth, this may not have gone this way. Because then I don't think people would have made the jump to like, oh, also the slap. Like, that is a quote that can stand alone and doesn't have to reference the slap. But instead he left it open to interpretation. And to your point, when you hear that and you hear I'm gonna go fresh prints on you or I'm gonna go, well, Smith on you, you think slap. So it's like, I think he should have realized what people would take away from that. That's just my take. - It's interesting that you have these pros that are married and like you would just think by the nature of the competition, you are sort of used to watching people say things about your partner and their creative abilities. I mean, right. Unfortunately, in any creative industry, you are open to feedback, especially in competitive shows. That is just the nature of what you've signed up for. So it was sort of surprising to hear him say anything. - I know. Maybe just keep Will Smith's name out of your mouth. Everybody, I think it's suspended from your own show. And then he had to walk it back. He had to issue an apology. And was like, of course, I didn't mean it back. I don't remember the apology said I don't care. But he has an apology, he walked it back and that concludes our walk that shit back report. - Okay, well, we have huge news coming up. But first we're just gonna take a quick little break to thank our partners. I am telling you about instant hydration. So whether you are working out or you're like me and you don't work out, you just, you know, if you spend time outdoors and traveling and you're just trying to like feel your best hydration matters. And I have somebody who gets no hydration. Everybody has been following my whole life about the lack of water that I take in. So instant hydration is exactly what I need. It is a premium electrolyte drink mix design to support hydration, energy recovery, focus and overall performance without sugar or unnecessary additives. And especially with the amount that Ashley and I travel, I just feel really like run down all the time, with like planes and ubers and airports and hotels. So it is nice to have something that just like lifts me up. And I love the taste of it. The biggest differentiator is an instant hydration uses authentic French-cray salt imported from France. - So it's fancy. - This is the thing, like the salt is like what you need to get back to feeling good. - Yes, it doesn't taste salty. The flavors are really refreshing. They're fantastic. There's a smooth taste. It's an easy habit day to day. And it contains zero sugar, no glucose, spike, no sugar crash. It is just sort of science-made simple. So it supports hydration, mental function, supports cellular energy. And again, it's just something really easy to work into your day to day routine. They have these little packs. I have like a box of them in my cabinet. You can just grab one and put it in water in the morning. And for a better way to say hydrated, go to instanthydration.com/ue and use our promo code GGE for over 40% off your first subscription order. It's instant hydrations best offer available. That's instanthydration.com/ue promo code GGE. - Okay, and Columbia, I'm telling you guys about the amaze puff. If you are on the hunt for the perfect puffer jacket, this winter, we got you. Because puffers can be in like two categories. They're really cute, but they're not the warmth, the function, the performance, they're kind of useless. Or you look like, I don't know, you look like you're hibernating for the winter. You know, like it's that huge. You feel like a giant puffy bear. So we really love the amaze puff. We both have the long ones. They come in three lengths, short, mid and long. I have talked about this before that last year, I'm on the coldest days of the year. Like it was a blizzard, winter and equals game. And I wore my amaze puff. I have the long one in the dark stone kind of like on ivory off white color. And I felt so warm. I just felt like I was all cozy up in a sleeping bag all day. And I also felt really cute. So this year, I'd mentioned I want to get the Sedona Sage jacket, a little more Eagles green color for the game we go to this winter. The other new colors this year, there's this mineral pink. I'm obsessed with this really light pink. And then the navy as well, but you can also get black. Raina has it in black. And a really beautiful brown tobacco color. And they're incredible. They're going to keep you so warm. They have that really elevated look. But of course, the performance that you're going to get from Columbia. There's the thumb holes and the pockets and everything. They're a little oversized. If you want to size up, you can wear your sweaters underneath them, resize down if you want a more snug fit. But they're really going to be great no matter what you want to do. It's 650 filled down insulation, which is the same warmth and more as the overpriced ones. They're a great price. And we are just really so obsessed with them. This is going to be the puffer you need for the winter. Check out the colors, check out the length, see what works for you, and thank us later. So you can visit Columbia.com to get your hands

Okay, TV, movie news coming in hot. So much stuff going on. Okay, so right after we recorded last week, Lena Dunham announced that they are rebooting girls for five episodes next summer. And the original cast is coming back. All the girls and Elijah are coming back. They announced this with this great video they're on a Zoom and they kind of reprise their roles for the Zoom, which I thought was just comedically really brilliant. And I was reading Lena Dunham's sub-stack about this. And she was just saying like, you know, when I started this show as 23 years old, I didn't know where I would end up and culturally what this show would mean. And now we're in our 40s. And it's like, where did these people end up? And I want to tell that story. And I'm just so excited to see who they are now. And that show was just, it's one of my favorite shows of all time. I think that the dialogue is so smart. It's how people actually talk. I think it's so comedically brilliant. And there's little pieces of each character that we all relate to. And there's lots of pieces of every character that we're all like, that's not me, uh, no. And I am just really excited to see where these people ended up. And they have not announced any of the other male characters will be coming back. So the people who played Ray and Desi and Adam and Charlie, none of them have been announced to be coming back. And I, for one, don't care. The show's called Girls. I know, I'm with you 100%. But Desi, that's my favorite guy from the bear, my favorite actor. I think he's the least likely to come back 'cause he was like-- You out of driver? Oh, I mean, as a character. I met as a character and not as an actor. Totally, totally, okay. I am so excited. I could have watched that Zoom call all day on repeat. Give us the whole call. I love the way they announced this. I can't wait. I mean, even you just talking about it just now got me so excited to see where these women are. Like you said, in their 40s, I believe, right? It was how old they would be. And I just think we're all a little traumatized from and just like that. So I know that Lena will not do us wrong. I trust in Lena. I trust that it will be great. But I think we're all just like, but remember, remember what they did to us with "Sexy City." So I'm sure we'll be better and different. And again, limited five episodes. I'm sure they'll just put their whole pushies into it and it's gonna be wonderful. But on that note, Raina, I just saw that. I saw like a collection of memes. And once it that they were bringing Che Diaz onto the girl's reboot as a podcaster. And I believed it for a second. And then I realized the whole carousel was like fake fantasy. But like, Che Diaz on the girl's reboot, like the ultimate trolley, not like really. Gotta kick out of it. But like, we never know because that was so devastating. Like what they did to that show and they took these characters and they made them so uncool, unwith the times, so backwards in like every way. And it's like, you took all these characters that we loved and you like made them terrible and dialogue that's not believable and characters that aren't believable. Yeah, and it's just like, you wanna say it could never happen to girls because of Lena and the people who she surrounds herself with to write and all of that. But I would have never thought it could happen to sex in a city either. I truly think it's going to be great. It is certainly not gonna be an angels like that situation and they're younger and all the factors, but it's crazy. 'Cause I would have never thought that about sex in a city. I would have never thought it could like go that route. But girls are so edgier and just different and so I don't think we're gonna have that happen. But you know, there's still a little part of us it's just like we're not over that trauma yet. No, and I won't be over the trauma until the show comes out. And I actually don't know how many people were connected to and just like that. They were connected to the sex in a city. Was it all the same producers? No, there was certainly different people and there was a bigger gap between and you know, there's a bunch of different factors. I really don't anticipate that happening, but you know, we'll see. And I think it's gonna be great. And Judd Apatow was signed on to produce as well. Yeah, that too. And Jenny Conner is not been announced, but if you're readily into this book, they don't have a relationship anymore. Also her and Adam Driver don't have a relationship. So don't expect either of them to be back. But I love these characters. I'm excited to see like what their political affiliations are. Like I'm just not sure about any of them, you know? How do they dress? Did they get married? Do they have kids? Like I just can't wait to see these roles reprised. So stay tuned. We'll try to get her on the show and say how. We'll try to get her on the show. Yeah. I saw Jenny Conner last week at the nobody wants this party, which I will talk about as I keep teasing it. Okay. And so next, Love is Blind, season 11, Boston, as someone who married a Boston guy, and someone who loves Boston, both of us. We wanted to root for this so much. And also, I will say, it should show on 'cause that you're typical Boston guy. This isn't my special. Don't make me do the whole bit. But he's that you're typical Boston guy, even though he spent most of his life there. But I feel like these guys weren't all typical Boston guys either. They were the tallest guys in Boston. They found some tall dudes for the show. But I mean, I'm excited to hear what you think and we are gonna do the doppelgangers, but the guys were a tough watch on this season. And that's not specific to Boston. That feels like every American city, because I don't really think the UK feels like this. On Love is Blind lately. And we've said this once and we'll say it again, it's just not a good time to have men being themselves on TV. Like, they're ruining it. Like, specifically men who have the time and desire to be on reality TV in the first place that doesn't apply to women, it's weird. And I just think we need to have a break from having men on reality TV till we fix them. - No, let's take all of their microphones. Let mention a podcast either. Like, let's just take all the microphones away. - Thank you. Like, they can still act. I guess we do need them to act and stuff. But like, they need to not be doing reality. Like, I hate to say it. 'Cause I wanna watch these shows. But it's not a good look. Maybe everything moves to the UK or like other countries. But like, American men on dating reality shows are ruining it. And we've gotta fix this and take a break and figure ourselves out. Mail comedians, I mean any man that wants a microphone in their hand or a lapel mic. If you're thinking of clipping a lapel mic onto a man, just, you know, walk away. You're holding him any mic. Put it in a glass of water. - There is men on this season who are so unserious, so broke, have never been in a relationship who think my body, my choice, but not her body, her choice. Where did they find these guys? Right, I'm so mad. This was the only season where I did not cry once at any proposal, at any relationship. And I don't think any of them are getting married. - So I feel like I, this is the season you and I have looked forward to the most in 11 years. Like I have been struggling for Boston. I've been, not only six years. 11 seasons, this is the one I've wanted the most. I'm like, this season is gonna slap so hard. These are East coasters. They're my people. Like Boston people are our people. I really, I mean, I felt this last season also. I've been disappointed by the thing that they're allowing men to say on this show. And it's like, it's feels so red pill. Like MAGA meant to me. Like you have these women that are entrepreneurs are self-made, they're nurses, they work in fashion and tech, et cetera. And you have these men saying the craziest stuff to them. I mean, one man was talking to one woman and she's talking about her career and she's built this business and she's so proud of herself and he's like, well, you wouldn't put that above family, right? And she starts like walking it back. And I hated the response. You have this guy who's like an anti-vaxxer who's touting like pro life agendas about how women get abortions at six months. Yes, you have this guy who lives on a boat who is just like, you should put your job and come with me. And she's like, yeah, no, totally. I mean, I was just in two cars. No, but yes, I just was so disappointed by the quality of these people. And it feels so unserious. Like there wasn't one person that agreed to marry another person that felt like we're so in love, it just feels like.
Let's agree to go to the next step and keep filming, that's all it feels like to me anymore. For the first time. Yeah, I mean as much as I've had hate for a lot of the men in past seasons, this really is a first time where none of these couples feel like it. And I really liked a lot of the women. I loved Sarah and the way she spoke about our healthcare system. And then she picked this like pro-life Christian guy who flexes in bed. It was just such a bummer. I thought she was the coolest one. I don't know what happened there. And she shows this fucking weirdo. And you know, I liked a lot of the girls. Even Benita. I mean, I know she was crazy, but I had a soft spot for her. Whatever she's doing comes from somewhere. And I was like, I can't stand her. And then I was like, I just feel for her. She's desperate for love and validation. And she's going about it the wrong way. And she's been through a lot. And I just, you know, I always feel like this with the women. And then I'm just like these men that we're doing these women into service in so many of these shows. I want to say something about Sarah and Benita. And then the show's in general Sarah. I just was so impressed by how eloquently she chose to spoke about. I'm women having abortions in our healthcare system and vaccines. And I thought she was really measured and eloquent. She still picked that guy, but I have faith in her that she's going to not be with him. Benita, I think was actually cast for another show. And they were like, this is not spicy enough. I think that she actually was supposed to be on to handle or like literally any other reality show. And they were like, no one's bringing the spice this season. We need one crazy person. And they were just like toss her in there. Yep. You're right. So she was not cast for the right show. That is so, so accurate. She wasn't supposed to be there. But in general, I don't know. I thought I wanted, I'm disappointed in these women because I love women and I support them. But like so many of these women were really impressive and smart and like entrepreneurs and had great jobs. And they chose these men that to your, like you said, have never been in relationships, live on a boat, anti-vaxxers, people that don't believe in science. Like these women are not going to end up with these men. But I don't even like the implication that they would pick them even to film with because it's just like you, I would rather be alone to the rest of my life than half of this bullshit. I know. I totally agree. Some things that suck out to me, the amount they all shared with each other was crazy and maybe they do that and they just don't always show it. So maybe this was an editing choice. Like the girls and the guys amongst each other sharing about who they were dating and then also in the pods. It just felt like more sharing than normal or at least what they showed. This was the most where I felt like the guys seemed unsure, like weighing their options. And of course, you know, I think this, the premise of this show, which is my favorite show is fucking stupid. And you don't know how you feel about something you've never seen in person. You guys know how I feel. It's absolutely ridiculous. You're going to propose them after 10 days. You've never seen what they look like, how they walk, how they care themselves. You know, I think it's ridiculous. But they just felt more open about their non-committalness. And the last thing I will say, Jax and Stu were truly the wildest couple I've ever seen on this show. Their conversations, the proposals were so insane. And she left right after she met him in person. And Reina, what did she think he was going to look like? He looked exactly like he sounded in the pods. That man couldn't have looked more like what I thought he was going to look like. Like she had a bad read on him if she thought JFK Jr. was coming out of the pods. Like he looked exactly the way you would think I am shocked. I don't understand because she, both of them were fishing with the pole and they got the fish I would expect to be on that pole with. They were both fishing with dynamite for exactly who they ended up with. Like she is exactly the kind of person that would just take one look at somebody and be like, I'm out. Totally. Like immediately. And he is exactly the kind of person that would immediately start talking about how much money he has and how many homes he has and pick somebody that would have those type of values that was that was going to take one look at him and leave but also he isn't objectively good looking man. No, am I crazy? Yeah, that's her. That's what I'm saying. Like he can't stand the guy but he wasn't ugly. Like what did he think? So she thought, she thought some guy was coming in there as rich as she thought he was and a 10 in looks and he's going on love his blind. Like I will be so free. Like he was pretty attractive for the way he spoke which was terrible. That kind of just needs a little facial hair and I don't understand why he was on that show. To be honest, you have all this money and your tall and his hands are gigantic. I couldn't take my eyes off of them. Well some people were saying that he was like, I got a lot of tea this season. Maybe we'll do what we can share next week because this is a lot and we're going to do the doppelgangers but like we got an email about a girl who went through the whole casting process. She was like, I signed an idea but I don't care. I'm going to tell you guys. I got a DM from a girl who dated both Rob and Mory and was like, yeah, they're both fuck boys like you would expect. Like I've gotten so much teeks of the Boston girlies. You know, those are my people. So I said, so I'm going to get more of Mory. I just really enjoyed watching him. People were like, oh, the Taylor Swift stuff was performing up. I don't care. I think he's like harmless. I just I enjoyed watching him. Yeah, he was like actually a fun watch. I thought I thought if he ended up with patina, it would have been really fun to watch. And then you know that one like redneck guy, he says something like terrible and then you never see him again. He ended up engaged to a girl that you see quite a bit in the pod. She's really beautiful. You don't ever see her on a single date. She ended up engaged to him. And then you never see them again. There's another couple that also ended up together. I think they're Indian. It is every season. There's people that like get engaged that don't make it to the show. Totally. Yeah, like a lot sometimes. This was the most I was actually watching it going like these are the doppelgangers. Some of them are so spot on to me. Yes. So I've been doing this for years. If you guys are new around here and I felt like I really had a talent for it early on. And now it's just like so many people are doing it and people will message me about them. So I'm going to give credit for the ones I didn't come up with myself. And Shashank, you know, helps me too. But so without further ado, it is time for your love is blind season 11 Boston doppelgangers right on the gate, Blake West Wilson, uncanny. I've never seen two people look so much alike since Theo James and Nick Fyall that I've never in my life. Also that Montana boy, the little Montana boy. Yes. Not the one that J.D. Kristen Cavallari, the like second hottest one. The one that she and Miranda from Sea Realized are more of a wife. Yes. Okay. Erica, I got a little Jessica Simpson from Erica and also Christina Baranski who is this actress. Someone sent me this in my deans. She's in the good wife. She's in big bang theory. When you see it, you'll know. I'm surprised that you did outpicked your cousin Lentie and Madison LaCroy. Okay. Madison, that's not bad. This is the last one that I'll add because I want to let you have your spotlight. Also people are saying Lentie Hubbard for her. And I see all of them. So people were putting West Blake West Wilson and Erica Lentie Hubbard together and just like Summer House reboot. It was very funny. Okay. Cam, this is not my own. Someone of my deans sent me Mr. Beast. Okay. Yeah. I see it. So shout out to Terry Lynn from the deams. Aneha, she is Punjabi Blair Waldorf. And as someone who just saw Lady Meester last week, I'll keep teasing this event. I swear, I can speak on it. She's actually never going to actually tell the story, but she's just going to like drop a little tidbit throughout this. Yeah. She's Punjabi Blair Waldorf. She's talking about the greed. Also, I think this is the way she acts and speaks a little bit of Reese Weaver from DCC. She's just got that like sweet energy about her. I think she's very beautiful. Okay. Can I just ask you, do you think that she won't kiss him or touch him at all because she's not attracted to him or do you think that's real where she's like, I just never saw it. No, I don't know. Both. I don't know. Some people are like that though. They're just like, and they don't want to kiss on TV. Kate and Chad, our friends that got engaged from reality show. Didn't want a tongue kiss on TV. Okay. Sarah, a little bit of a deep cut. I'm going to give you a shot credit for this one. Jojo. Wow. Oh my god. They're identical. Do you guys do that? I know. Okay. Wilson is if someone tried to draw Tristan Thompson from memory. It's just a less attractive Tristan. Okay. So Rob. Oh, Rob? thinks he looks like Travis Kelsey. Raina, okay. He sort of looks like Jason Kelsey made. When he said the Kelsey brother's thing, I was like, surely he means Jason. There's nobody to say. He kind of resembles Jason. And that's it. Like he doesn't look like Travis Kelsey with your eyes closed. Like this is the Megan Fox of this season. A hundred percent Travis of the Kelsey brothers. Do you think you look like Travis? Sir, he knew what he was doing. He gives me the key. It just seems like controlling. I mean, he was like smile. I said smile. Are you smiling? Ooh, stop. Okay. Michaela Tessa. That's Tessa. And I love her styles. She's a fashion girl. She works in fashion. I don't think we've seen someone this well dressed on the show. Like, I just love see what she's going to wear. I mean, this is what she does for work. And so I just have loved her outfits, even like her first initial outfit in in in Mexico. It was really cute. Okay. So Mori, listen, Mori's obsessed with shingles. I'm going to give him shingles. He's tall and pale and just whatever. Like, I really, I know he's hot. Yeah. I, I'm with you. And also, obviously, I find him attractive because he's a tall ginger. And that's what I like. He made me laugh. I allowed. I will admit it a few times. But Instagram captions. I mean, he just, he's funny. And he knows he is.
- He is a cornhole entertainment provider. It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. - He is very self-aware. He's like this, when he was like she's love bombing me 'cause I have a raspy voice and I'm funny. I'm like, you know yourself, my guy. Okay, Jack's Katie Thurston. - Okay. - Little bit of Miley. - She does look like Miley. - Okay, Stu, I'm gonna end with Stu. This is John Mulaney and he looks and talks like him. This is one of the most shocking where I'm looking and I'm hearing him. It's just crazy to me. He's like a John Mulaney impersonator. - There's a lot of people that this could've been. - You didn't see John Mulaney? - I went actor Peter Gallagher from the OC. He is Sandy Cohen. They are so identical to me. He doesn't look like John Kennedy, but he does sort of have that like politician look. - Yeah, he told and vibe. He also kind of looks like our friend Ted Jones, but like the douchey character Ted Jones does for content. Like Ted's daughter, but look at Ted Jones world and he like plays that care. Like I was showing Shashong some of Ted's reels 'cause he plays that douchey Hamptons guy, but he looks next like John Mulaney to me. - I see him. - And so those are your doppelgangers. - No, these were great. I was like, if she doesn't guess Wes Wilson for this first one, like I was watching him talk and I was like, why have I seen this guy on television a lot before? - I know. - Look how space is this. - Yeah. All right, I'm just gonna get this out of the way. So nobody wants this starts tonight as we record the 22nd. And I went to the premiere party last week. So since season three of nobody wants this, which is again, a show we love on Netflix. In the season, Joanne and Noah are gonna move in together. So they did a housewarming party theme for the premiere party. And Rana, it was a former house. She doesn't live there now, but a house that Michael B. Jordan lived in. It was insane. We could feel the energy, feel a sexual energy. We walk up, they like, the nobody wants this. The stepping repeats, we first person we see, like Mr. Adam Brody and later Mr. just at the door, just saying hello to people. The whole cast was there. The foster sisters were in Jenny Conner was there. Netflix, everybody was there. And it was just such a high vibe. And they really had it feel like a housewarming party. So there was a giant room with charcootery. They had a pizza station in the back. They had obviously open bar and everything. And they all spoke. So Aaron Foster and Jenny Conner and the cast came out. And they just were like, we love making the show so much. And it's an honor that you guys are here. And like not all TV cast love making the show as much as people enjoy it. And we're so excited for season three. And Sierra was there. I talked to her a little bit about dance with the stars. And it was just a lot of people were there. And Shashank is so obsessed with Adam Brody. And he kept trying to get a moment with him. And you know, he can usually do that. Like he usually will just grab somebody. Like, we'll look over Shashank's selfie with Jawroll. He's talking to me. Like he always does that. But he just couldn't pull him. So he didn't really get to have his moment with him. But he was just-- Yeah, I couldn't pull him for one one. But it was just really great. And I'm glad I got to attend that. And it just makes me even that much more excited for the show. And I'm sad that you weren't there. I was jealous, but you had a really seriously bad couple weeks. And so this is a win that you really needed. And I was really excited for you that you went to this. I have me too. So we'll show some picks on screen. And that's the tee from the party. OK, I'm doing a season two rewatch. I actually started it last night. So I am really excited for season three. And yeah, we'll recap it next week. OK, we're just going to take a quick break. And then we'll get right back into the episode. So I'm telling you guys about Revolve. If you don't know about Revolve, it is truly-- if I could pick one place to shop for the rest of my life, it's Revolve. So whatever you're looking for, denim, jacket, sweater, going out looks, accessories, pieces that just make getting dressed feel exciting and fun, it's Revolve for me. And I actually realized last week, two days before I left for London, that I didn't pick an outfit for London to perform in. And I wanted something special, because I showed up to Steter, and it was such a special moment for me. And I didn't want to just wear jeans and a t-shirt. And so I want to Revolve, and I picked going out fall outfits or something. And they have all these different shops that you can pick from. So if it's fall looks, if it's festival looks, if it's wedding looks, I just like going out night outfits. And I had this whole curated set of things that I could choose from. And obviously lengths and colors and price ranges. And I ordered it. The shipping was super quick. It came in two days. Actually, and I love their shipping. We love their easy returns. We love their customer support. I mean, they just make it so easy to shop for something. And once I zoned in on what I wanted, it was easy to shop like 100 similar items. I love that they always do that. And they'll group everything together. So it's easy to just blow through what you're looking for. And you can be really specific about fit color, brand, occasion, whatever the weather is. If you have dinner's events, travel, et cetera, they just make it really easy. I love the brands. And it is very rare that I don't have something on my body from revolve at all times. So we love obviously. Anita Bing is a brand that I love, or is a designer that I love. This is the hat. Truly, it's always something. Always something. I love their citizens of humanity, jeans. But they have tons. We love a goldie, mother, all types of brands. They have whatever you want. They have it there. So if you guys, whether you're looking for a night outfit, or just a wardrobe refreshable revolve, makes shopping easier. It focuses on Elizabeth Holmes. I went this morning. I went this morning with Jeremy to watch it. - Raina, you went to a 11 a.m. movie and you brought a salad. Who are you as a person? - A moring movie with a salad is wild. - So I've been eating total shit lately, and I was like, I gotta get some veg into this body, and I hadn't eaten yet, and I was like, I will be in this movie until at least 230. There was 25 minutes of previews, and it's a three-hour movie. So I ate it just so you know, starting at 1 p.m., which is totally appropriate time to eat a salad. - Sis, I'm not shaming you for eating lunch. How did you bring utensils? You sat there in the movie theater and ate a salad. So the floor to shake it up, the dressing? - No, I had the mix it and chop it for me. - Lend which, also great Caesar wraps. - Couldn't have gotten a wrap. As I was eating my salad, I did say to myself, why did you not get a wrap? These people sat directly. The theater was not completely full, and these people sat directly next to me and Jeremy, and I start like freaking out. I'm like, why are these people sitting next to me? And he was like, what's the difference? Calm down, I was like, 'cause I can't eat my salad next to another woman. Like, I just show no how ridiculous this is. Like, I can feel shame next to Jeremy, but not strangers. - It's giving 90s diaculture. It's giving you only a certain amount of weight watchers points for the day, and you had to bring your salad into a movie theater. Crazy or a great agree bird, everybody. 11 a.m. movie, this bitch shows up with a fucking salad. - The way that I eat salad is that the lettuce is an afterthought. - With her hands off. - There is just, yeah. - Yeah. - I wasn't afraid to chew. I was like, are people gonna hear this? - So I was just born. - Yeah, so I was like afraid to eat salad. Like, it's a popcorn, it's fucking handfuls of it. - I was like, barely chewing. I was like, people are gonna hear me. - Okay, all right. Well, so I, you guys, this movie is sold out in LA. So I, yesterday, panicked. It was like, I, you know, I hadn't been able to see it 'cause we moved. I was like, I wanna go see it. I'll go right now. I, this was at 1 p.m. I was like, I'll go at two. I'll go with three. I'll go alone. I'll see if Shashank wants to go tonight. So I looked at the five theaters in our vicinity at two, three, six, seven p.m. We weren't gonna go at nine p.m. 'cause this is a three hour movie. All sold out. Every single theater, not even one seat. Not even a wheelchair. There was wheelchair spaces. They were like, yes, I see. That's a space for wheelchair. Not that I would ever buy a handicap seat. But like, I'm saying that every seat was full and they don't offer 11 a.m. movies in LA. That's a New York thing. So it's really, they start around one. At least-- - No one works there, so I don't see. - I don't know why they wouldn't. - Okay, so let's hear it. - So I mean, I would say spoilers ahead, but like, these aren't really spoilers because Elizabeth Holmes isn't jail. And it's not like a surprise what happened here. Like they, Nathan Fjodor, whose documentary maker goes into the home with Elizabeth Holmes and her husband, Billy, and their two children. And he films her for about 40 days before she goes to prison. And then the second half of the documentary is once she's in prison. And it mostly focuses on Billy. And this may be a bit of a spoiler and they don't advertise.
this in the documentary, but Amanda Seafraid who plays her in the dropout comes back to kind of reprise her role reenacting Elizabeth Holmes in this. And basically, the central question is like, do you believe that Elizabeth Holmes knew what she was doing and is she guilty of these things? And they don't really dig into the history of Theranos and what she did. I mean, they give you like the top line information five minutes of it. And you know, basically Elizabeth Holmes, she defrauded people for hundreds of millions of dollars and she put these medical devices into Walgreens all over the place and they're giving people medical results on devices that they knew did not work. And so basically, the central question is like, let's get into the mind of this person. And was she lying? Did she really believe in this technology? Can you feel empathy for her? And it is three hours and I was fully sat for the entire thing. And you were watching this person who seems truly to have no agency over her decisions. She can't explain things clearly. She can't remember things clearly. And she seems sort of kind and she also seems neurodivergent. But these things do not track with the person that I know her to be, which is a tremendously persuasive business person, somebody who convinced people at the highest levels of business in government to give her hundreds of millions of dollars. She was on some level a genius con artist or business person. And you're watching this person that doesn't really, that's not who I thought she was. And I was watching an interview with Tyler Schultz who's one of the original whistleblowers with John Kerry Rue who wrote the book and the original articles about Theronos. And he said, he had worked for her previously. And he said, the person that I worked for is not the person I'm seeing on screen. She seems totally kind of inept. She seems unable to accept that she did anything wrong. She has committed to the fact that she never lied. She never told any lies, never misled anybody. And you're just watching this the whole time going like, does she actually believe this? Is this her truth? It can't be the truth she knows because all the facts support the fact that she was lying to everybody and these devices did not work. But you watch it and you feel empathy for her. It's all of it. It's like ray gun. Like I watched the documentary and I felt empathy for her. And then I just saw people criticizing her like, she knew what she was doing. She never should have been the only, not the same. Like it's just worse. I'm not saying we're so easily like convinced. But like you watch somebody act like a human. And if you are a human with empathy and compassion, you could start to feel that type of way. Not for everybody. It wouldn't be like that for a lot of men specifically have done terrible, terrible things. But I mean, I can see where you get there watching this. So you're watching her be a mother and breastfeed her children and be just like, right, mother and she's so in love with her husband. And and you start to feel some empathy. I don't know, empathy is the wrong word because the facts are the actual facts. And she not only misled people. She collected a massive fortune doing so. And then she actively worked to silence whistle blowers. So that's what our government does every single day. That's like Elon Musk. Don't Trump. Everybody, like it's just what she did does not hold a candle to some of the things that like our specific administration now has done in the blood that's on their hands. But I totally agree. And she did not act alone. This was a 19 year old college dropout who men at the highest levels of government business enabled and gave money to. And then Walgreens purchased her her technology and put it in all their stores. All of these people are liable for what happened here. And the blood is not only on her hands. So I don't think it falls squarely with her. And a lot of the documentary focuses on her dynamic with Billy Evans, her husband who seems tremendously manipulative. He controls her Twitter and her money and his power of attorney over her, which is really fascinating. And you know, she was in a relationship with Sunny Balwani from the time she was like 19 and he was almost 40. So she has been manipulated by these men, truthfully her whole life. But still is the perpetrator and was the head of this company. So it is just a fascinating watch of. And as you watch her thinking like it's Nathan Fielder being manipulated, is she manipulative? She seems just like a dough-eyed innocent. I didn't do anything. What are you saying? Well, I can't wait to see it. Thank you for seeing on behalf of the show. I don't know when we're gonna go. We're out of town this weekend. We're in Clemson. So that's where I'll be this weekend for the game. But I want to ask you a final question on it. Were you attracted to Nathan Fielder before? And are you attracted to him now? No. No. No, no. No, and no. Why are people saying that? Yeah, she just course about this. That like he's unsuspectingly hot. And especially after this. No, but what I will say about this movie that surprised me is it's so funny. Like people were laughing out. It's not supposed to be. Oh, no way to you. Yes. I mean, we were Jeremy and I on the whole theater was like laughing out loud at how awkward all these scenes were. I mean, it is so painfully awkward. He is so painfully awkward. Her and her husband, all these scenes, there's just one scene where she's beating eggs and her husband just walks over and takes the ball out of her hand and keeps beating the eggs and like, you're like, is anybody acknowledged this? Like he's just like took this from her? I don't know. It's just it's very funny. Like, okay, it's not supposed to be funny, but there are so many comedic moments where you're just like, damn, no, I'm not attracted to him. You do see her husband's whole deck. You see Billy Evans entire deck and I am attracted to him. Okay. Right. I'm just laughing, thinking about you fistfuls of salad and laughing in this movie. That salad did smell. There was eggs in it. That hurt my feelings when you said that. What? I hate it. Yeah. It's all in love. Who did I write that on this morning? Oh, I mean, who did I write that on mail? I wrote it on Instagram. Marie Foster did this whole thing of how she met Michael B. Jordan speaking of Michael B. Jordan. Back to the nobody wants this premiere party and and I said I hate you. I believe this. It was a dream. She's talking about how she met him and she gave him her number. Reina, I was hanging on every single word. If you guys are following Marie Foster and you have to, but like she was laying in bed. She's telling this story. I was like, oh my gosh. Marie Foster is going to date Michael B. Jordan. I met Michael B. Jordan. It was a dream. Can I tell you something that made me laugh and then we will move on? So Page Six has this article. It says, Amanda C. Freed faces harsh criticism as viewers rip her behavior in Elizabeth Holmes documentary and Kate Kennedy who we love just wrote no one is saying this. Okay. Well, I'm glad you said that because I was going to ask you how you felt about it. And so I think Kate said it for us. No one's saying that. That's not a thing. I mean, I guess some people could be saying it. Nathan Fielder basically like has Amanda C. Freed there and he's talking to her because I mean, very few people probably ever researched Elizabeth Holmes as much as Amanda C. Freed to reprise this role. Right. I thought it was interesting. I don't, maybe people are going after her. I think if you find a group of people half of them will have something negative to say about anything. So I don't know. Okay. We are going to do headlines as quickly as we can. We know this is a long one, but we don't have an episode for you guys on Monday. So just enjoy it. You know, break it up. Listen to it in two parts. Okay. So this is heartbreaking. Jalen Hertz is out for the rest of the season. The Eagles are under fire. This is just so sad. I feel so upset. I feel so disgusted. So he had a blood clot in his leg that they already knew about. They still flew him to London to play in the game against the Jaguars. It was reported that they told him to stay awake for 36 hours. I think that has since maybe been disputed and unsure. It's a little murky there. But like the narrative was like they flew him to London, which they shouldn't have if he was having these medical issues. And then to be on not a lot of sleep and to play in the game. And so if anybody ever medically buys you not sleep for 36 hours and play in a football game, that's totally insane. And like totally against like all like I don't medical professionalism. But again, I'm not quite sure. And now he is blood clot in his lungs. And I just feel sick about this. I mean, I really hope this isn't the end of his football career. It's the end of his season. And if he was advised to do that or curse in any way to play against his own best judgement or his own health, like how could he ever want to play for this team again? Like people are having a lot of feelings about the Eagles. Like again, we don't know. He could have insisted on playing. I mean, who's to say? We all know athletes are pushed too hard in the name of the bottom line, but they also want to play too. And it's just like these are people's lives. Like he will survive this and get through this and hopefully play again. But like the thought of anything happening to him right now, I like can't I've been like very upset about it. Like he is the Philadelphia Eagles. He is such a treasure. He is just so important and does so much good in the world and top of being an incredible player for my favorite team. But when he does for the community, he's got a children's book like it's Jalen Hertz. I'm so hot. But like this is just really sad. People are fucking pissed and they're like, what happened here? And it feels like we don't have the whole story. But crazy for him to have this medical issue and then fly him across the world to play in football game too. Yeah, I mean, I guess adults have agency and they could do whatever they want. Nobody, I guess essentially how to gun to his head to do it. I just wonder what this means for like medical advice being given to players and feeling like you have your own agency to do what you want. But like that's why they have medical professionals and doctors to say here's what's going on your body. You can't go play football games. He was on blood centers. You can't go get hit. You could die. So it's like that's not his decision to make. I mean, I guess you
You could risk your life, but that's why there is a medical team to advise you and what you can and can't do safely. Yeah. A rough season for Philly fans. I will say that. And then one more that made me cry in a good way, New York City is set to ban horse-drawn carriages. Thanks, Mom Donnie, our white night. These always broke my heart. It's so abusive. I don't care that people want to do it and have this fairy tale moment. The time is over. And so New York City is going to ban these horse-drawn carriages, Mayor Zaron Mondani and the leader of the New York City Council have agreed to it. It's a popular tourist attraction, of course, but it's always faced this widespread scrutiny. And every time I see those horses, I just like want to burst into tears in Central Park and all over. So that, the horse carriage industry is coming to an end and he said our administration will make sure workers and owners are protected and the horses are safe. This has been like a hot topic in New York City. I mean, since I moved here, like 20 years ago, this has been something that people have been fighting against. This is animal cruelty and what they go through and in the heat and everything. Just a small aside because it's at the center of Central Park or I set the base of Central Park. The Plaza Hotel is announced they are closing for the next four years and I just think this is really crazy. I mean, when I was thinking of like the most famous hotels in the world, I think like top three in the US has got to be the Plaza, the Chateau, Marmont, the Beverly Hills Hotel. Like you just don't see these like cultural institutions close like this. And I don't know that hotel just like meant a lot to the city and you have like home alone in Eloise and I got engaged there. And like when I was little, we came up here and we had tea here and I think it just like means so much to like a lot of people that come here as like a tourist attraction. So I just thought that was interesting. That's odd. They announced that after the beginning of 2027, they'll do the Christmas season and they're going to close for at least four years. For renovations? Yeah. For renovations. And they've been renovating the outside of the hotel for many, many, many years. There's a drape outside of it that looks like it's actually the hotel and it's not. But they said it's going to be too loud and intrusive. And so they're shutting the hotel down for the next four years, which you just, you don't see this happen in like such big cultural institutions like this. But like are the rooms so dated like and it's at the point where like people are paying this premium price and they're like, this is so old. Like I've stayed in some of those hotels. I mean we stayed in one of those hotels on like Louise where I was like, damn, this this feels old and it's so expensive. And like one of these days, they're going to have to shut this down and renovate do all the rooms. I'm only staying in one room there. I mean, it wasn't like dusty, but it, I mean, it's definitely old. I mean, this hotel is from like the 1800s. It's an old hotel. I think the 1800s. Don't quote me on that. You guys know, I'd be the early 1900s. Doesn't matter. But stay tuned for that. And just two more headlines you want to announce the next one. So Jay-Z reportedly selected himself to headline the Super Bowl to no one's surprise. I mean, Jay-Z's on this run. He did the tour and it makes sense. And if he was playing this in a, I can't find anybody else sort of way, he didn't need to do that. Jay-Z is fit to do the Super Bowl. Like, if that's what's happening, it's still speculative. But he's a generational tale and he is the catalog. Rock Nation has been booking the Super Bowl since 2019. Like, of course, he's going to do it. Like I saw Cypher Sounds who we love this comedian and he's Dave Spell's DJ and we just love him. His take was just like, if you were in charge of booking a comedian, a musical artist, whatever it was, would you throw your hat at the ring on the biggest stage, like, on top of being qualified? Like, I hope nobody's going to shade it like it's out in my fridge. I'm sorry. Well, but it's just like he is the best fit. So, and then he'll bring people out and Beyonce, hopefully. And so if that's what's going to happen, it just makes sense. And Rock Nation, it didn't need to act like we were having trouble booking somebody. They can just say, guys, it's Jay-Z's time, but obviously, yeah, I'm really excited about it. And lastly, this is Hot News as we record Giggly Squad is the first female podcast to headline Madison Square Garden, Hannah and Paige, the Gail's Gail's tour, and they announced this tour and we're so excited and proud of them. They are friends of ours, obviously, and the Madison Square Garden show sold out in 30 minutes and they added a second one. This is huge. And there's been like a few podcasted of Dennis Kiltoni. Not many obviously podcasts do this and no women-led podcasts have. I wish it was the first podcast ever. I wish that men didn't get to have this title at all. But low and behold, I love this and we love seeing their success. And I just, I just know like men are mad. Like I just know there's a male comedians and male podcasters that fucking hate this and they're in their gross little group chats today, just saying shit. I just, I love that. It's my favorite part. Also, it's my pride for them. Yes, a huge congratulations to them and we just love them. We are so proud of them. I can't wait to go and see it and to see podcasting take the stage like this. I mean, Kyle Cook must be having the worst day of anybody. I mean, I think about that sometimes in making fun of them on that show. I mean, he named the podcast. Like it is so funny to me that like look where it's gone, but this is just so amazing and astonishing. I just, I had a feeling they were going to pass this recording and I just, you know, I can't wait to see it. Yeah, they put out a music video. They put out a song. I just shush on all day. Just a gale scale. He says it all the time. He's like a real giggler. I mean, we all are. Like, shush. Gale scale. I wake up. Not even a gale scale. Like please. I'll take you. Okay. We'll go. We'll go backstage. Okay. So that is your snack. You guys. It's a long one. We hope you enjoyed it. We had a lot to cover. We are not going to see you Monday. We just are taking a week off.
