(laughing) Yes, one week of "Here Comes the Bride." It was so amazing with the live chat. - Yeah. - That was the best thing of my life. That was just adrenaline coursing through my veins. I had a little watch party, which I didn't know if I was gonna do, and then you were like, "You have to do that." - It's like when I don't wanna birthday parties. And then I'm like, "I'm gonna be wanting a birthday party." - I didn't know who it was gonna be. Having friends over to watch me on the screen, and then also people have seen the material, but they wanted to pay attention and actually watch it. And I had to be in the chat doing like admin, not admin, it was very fun. But it was couldn't have been more perfect. And then our friends were in the chat too. We'd like so many devices, and they're watching, and my wedding planner Jacqueline was there. - Now that was a surprise for me. - It was so, so fun. And just the chat was so lit. Because the way the child digests that, you know? So thank you guys so much. And my parents and my family watched Shashank's parents watched it, which I didn't know his dad was going to watch it. And then I went there the next day to see them. We spent the weekend in Phoenix with his family or his sister and her husband lives and lots of penis content. They didn't bring it up. They did a cheers to me at dinner. We were celebrating his dad's retirement. But they just were like, it was so great. We loved it, but no details. Thank God, I just had this irrational fear. I was going to get cornered by his parents or something. And they're like, so about the whole circumcision there. I don't know. Something. I feel like men don't pay attention to anything. I think his dad probably watched. Just that feels too beautiful. It was. I have very, rarely spoken to a man at one of my shows that is listening to me. And I love it. I'm like, when I try to call him for a crowd work, they're like, what? And I'm like, I love it. Go back to sleep, sir. We'll speak in a year tour. You called me from Seattle. It was incredible. I got to see how that audience-- and I'm obsessed with the hat. Oh, thank you. It's, honestly, it's you. I have to figure out how to sell them. I guess I'll get done it yet. No. I've 2,000 hats. I didn't get a box. I've been wondering because I saw them. And I was like, I don't think they're being sold at the show. So I just-- You don't think they're heavy. I keep me like, I'll bring them. And then I'm like, oh, they're so heavy. I should have brought them to Chicago and did four shows. I'm going to figure out a way to put it on my website. OK, we'll do that. But yes, I called you from Seattle. I don't think I've ever missed a milestone in your life. I haven't even missed a special trip. You and I make it a real point. Holidays, birthdays. We don't miss milestones in each other's lives. That's not a thing that we do. I had booked this tour in November. Yeah, we never would have done this. It was fucking weird. And then all of our best friends in New York had a watch party. And Rain is just alone in Seattle. I mean, it was crazy. It was incomprehensible. So we wouldn't have planned it like that. I just-- this is when I wanted to put it out and whatever. So that's how it worked out. But one really random special message from the universe though was that it happened to be the night I was in Seattle and Ryan who filmed your wedding was at that show with me. And it was the only show this whole tour. He's just been able to come to. And he came by himself and watched it. Besides you, that's the person that's watching me perform the most in the world. Oh, yeah, I love that connection. Like, to have the lights come up and have him be in there, almost made him bring his camera to film this. But I was like, I'll let him film himself. But it was funny that it fell on that. And yeah, we turned all the lights up in the club and congratulated you. And it was really, really fun and nice to be able to do that. It's gonna be an epic show. Okay, guys, let's kick it off with a fashion report. Lots of fashion news. As we record this, the MetGala was last night. People are saying it didn't hit the same. And because the state of the world, because of who was involved, because of Lauren fucking Sanchez on the red carpet. I mean, I don't know. Do you, what do you think about the MetGala in general? So, the MetGala theme this year was fashion is art. And I loved the theme 'cause I was like, this is finally a theme I understand. And basically, people took inspiration obviously from like, from museum art, like real art. Sculptures and paintings. And I was really excited to see how people interpreted that 'cause I was like, this is one I'll understand other than like camp, you know? And the way they designed the MetSteps I thought was gorgeous. I just felt like a little bored and I was surprised by this 'cause I thought people were gonna like, really go for it this year. And some people did and did a great job, but I was surprised that like, this should have been the easiest thing to accomplish in terms of the theme. The wildest. And some people just showed, I mean, Margot Robbie who can like, do no wrong in my eyes. She just wore like hotel drapes. Margot Robbie, Charlie XCX. So here's the thing. People are gonna be like, you don't get it. Yeah, I don't get it, but I am bored. And I am a human. I understand that there's the history and the references and the symbolism and everything I'm sure everyone wore was rooted in some art piece. I mean, I get it. But like, I can still be bored. I can appreciate a beautifully written song and still not like it. I can appreciate it. But I'm like, this was the moment to go crazy. Yeah, I feel like. So I do feel most offended by Margot Robbie. Most offended by Lauren Sanchez. And the artwork that inspired her dress, which she was out here giving David's bridal, like I read this post on Threads of like this art, this woman has this long neck and she's really pale and it's a stark contrast with the dress. And Lauren Sanchez is like, tan with a blowout. You know, like she didn't really nail the look even. Uh-huh. Like Hunter Schaefer was inspired by a painting and I saw Hunter Schaefer against the painting and I was like, this is an unbelievably beautiful interpretation of this painting. This is like real art in a dress. I thought it was so incredible if you guys had the opportunity to look at it. Lauren Sanchez was wearing just a blue dress and was giving Mother of the bride. I mean, I don't want to just shit on everything. I loved a lot of it. Okay, so I meme the Met Gala when I feel inspired and I did feel inspired. So if you guys go to my Instagram, I did a full grid post. They were my stories and people were like, please post this on May, and I was like, okay. So I had so much fun with it. That's why I look forward to the Met Gala. I mixed feelings in the Met Gala in general. Just, I don't know. A lot of people have a criticism that feels very let them eat cake, this indulgent extravagant event, especially with the state of the world. I felt like this in recent years, but like it's still a charity event and why is that different than the Oscars? Like all of these things, Loki make me feel weird. And because of the state of the world, there's a real dystopian vibe about it and like a real disconnect, but like we still like to be entertained and look at this, that like I have a lot of mixed feelings, I guess. You could apply that reasoning to a lot of things. Yeah, a hundred percent. So it's like, you know, where do we draw the lines? So for me, it's like, I don't, I don't really know. But you're welcome to draw whatever line you want. The people that really sent it, I mean, I just, it's really cool to see the art she had her shaver, by the way, was in product. People that were inspired by art, I wrote down a few that I like really crazy abrums, and a Chanel gown that I loved. I mean, Chamberlain opened the show and was in that like very colorful, long gown. It looked like paint. It was custom MUG LAR, Mugler. Yeah, Mugler. Mugler, who's this guy? Don't she was one of my favorites last year and is also one of my favorites this year? She looked like a piece of art. Yeah, she just went for it. Just a little, like a couple cut-out. Yeah, Jason Kennedy was the designer of that. The Jenner's? I mean, Kylie, this is, she was my favorite meme. She's the opening meme on my post with this, it looks like the dress is coming off of her. It's giving like Barbie doll her and then Kendall Jenner's after-party look. They're like mannequins, basically. That's what I thought it was supposed to be, man. Yeah, right? Also, Hailey Bieber did a very similar sculptural type of look. Yeah. And Kim. I said to you, 'cause I really don't know, were they all, did they play a mess? To all do, this could not have happened independently. I'm sure they played, I'm sure they had a group chat. Kim wore the orange one. Yeah. I look like orange X-bed. Kendall had one boob in that thing and then the after-party outfit was full send. Yeah. And Kendall in Gap. That was Gap. Zach Posen Gap. Both looks her the first look. The first look, for sure. I did, I forget if the second one was, I think it was, don't quote me on this. The first one? Gap. Like, it's technically, yeah, it's crazy. That's crazy. Gap studio. And then the wings came out, did you see her? Like, she didn't flap these wings at the red carpet. Like, the whole thing extended and it was just this, like, Victoria's secret angel vibe that they showed, like, later inside the event, or I don't really understand the event. Do you just walk around? Is it like a dual party? It's a dinner, and there's performances. So Sabrina Carbiter performed. I also loved her outfit, you know, every year, I think she just wears like a romper and some high heels in this year. She wore a whole dress made out of film. Yeah, the film. It was so cool. I was surprised that even if, whether I like the outfits or not, I was surprised that everybody didn't send it in just the biggest way. Even Nicole Kidman, I mean, she looked unbelievable, but I think I own that dress. She's a sparkly, maroon dress. Heidi Klum fucking full-send. And it's my favorite meme that I made. So go check it out. Katie Perry is so annoying, but at least she did something crazy. I thought it was Kim. I heard that Matt. That's fair. Bad Bunny dressed like an elderly person. Janelle Monet, I memed it that run drawer in the kitchen 'cause she just had a bunch of cords all over her. That one looked insane. Like Cardi, I loved whatever the fuck Cardi was doing. I like that shit. I don't care if it looks insane. This is the time to look insane. And all those people are on a million red carpets here. They can be on whatever red carpet they want. So you can't use an excuse of like, I just wanted to wear this thing or this designer. Like wear it to the Oscars then. Amanda Cyford, what are you doing? What was it? Like just send it. And she looked beautiful. Amanda Cyford, I mean that dress, beautiful for the Academy Awards. Yeah, exactly, exactly. So yeah, that's the Met Gala. And you know, a lot of people boy-cotted it. They're, I mean, unless people come out and say I'm not going, then they could have just had like a scheduling conflict. So like Sydney Swini wasn't there. She's not going for political reasons. She was at Jeff Bezos wedding. But Zendaya, Sarah Jessica Parker, I missed Zendaya. I mean, I just, I looked through, I love like the day of the Met Gala where they show you. Yeah. Everybody's looks from the past and Zendaya. I mean, she's my style icon forever. I mean, she's just the best dress on every red carpet. She wore that really structural white suit last year. It wasn't really same without her. It really wasn't. And then Beyonce first time in 10 years. And I had mixed feelings on that too. It was dope as hell. It just, maybe for the grand. I don't know. It just didn't blow me away. We were just talking like, why? And I just, she's a queen always. Like, if she's the queen of the Met Gala. But she's, this skeleton thing was so cool. But we were talking with our friend Taylor, who's really an expert on this shit of like, wore the proportions a little off. It did a kind of completely swallow her. The head dress maybe should have been bigger. I don't, did she, she need the big fur cape. I mean, I love seeing her. And it took my breath away. But then when I really looked out, I'm like, do I like it? I don't know. I love seeing her family with her. And she's my queen. But like, it wasn't my favorite thing I've ever seen. That's, that was a weird choice. We're a lot of said, okay. She looked like she was wearing my nephews Halloween costume. That was the skeleton baby Halloween costume. But I mean, at least she tried something. At least it wasn't. She wore a Robbie's dress. I mean, that's the thing. She did full send. And that's all I care about. I'm asking for. Okay, so the next on the fashion report, Devil Wars Prada, I haven't seen it yet. I'm so sorry. I have to fucking see this movie with my husband. I'll go with you. When? I don't know what we're talking about. Say when? I don't know. Maybe Friday, we'll talk about it. But I don't know. So he was like, I'll go with you, Ashley. I told you I'll go with you. I'm like, it's not the same. But I made him watch the original within the year. He'd never seen it. And he's obsessed with it in half the way. So at least he'll like appreciate it. The way she looks, he thinks she's so beautiful. Yeah, I mean, listen, it's a two-hour movie. It's not a huge commitment. I saw it. And I wrote down a bunch of stuff. And I want to have an actual conversation with you about it. So we'll talk about it next week. I saw it this weekend in Chicago. My boiler-- I liked it. It didn't change my life the way the first one did. There's a lot of nostalgia. It's a lot of shots of New York. It's a lot of fashion. You see Hannah and Paige in it for a clip for a split second. But I just went, it was just cute to see them. And there's a lot of very lazy plot lines. I think this could have been better. But I'm also not looking-- I just don't care. Like, I wrote some funny stuff down to make fun of with you next week, but do it next week. That's what I've heard everyone say. I think the expectations were low because it's been 20 years and we've been burned a lot with sequels and remakes and whatnot. And everyone seems pleased enough. Yeah, I loved the fashion. The central conflicts that they try to bake in, like why Andy goes back to the man. and I was like, this is so lazy. I don't have to work in publishing her media to know that none of this could happen. - Okay, so a little lazy on the plot and the writing, but did you feel like about the acting? Like do you feel like they're the same? It's so the test of time. - I think really softened Miranda in a way that's just like - I think you were trying to explain that like with the times you couldn't keep acting like that. - That's fair, people wouldn't accept that. - You know, what if she did though? I kind of wish she did. I mean, that's the thing with the Mean Girls remake. They did take a lot of stuff out. 'Cause it did age well, but like it just was like you could tell. - Yeah, they definitely softened the character, but I mean, the acting was great. Stanley Tucci and Emily Blanc stole the show for me. - Okay. - They actually were unbelievable that they stole the show. - Okay. - So you guys all enjoyed it. It's worth two hours. I'll go see it with you. - Okay. - We could skip this Chanel thing. - No, we can't. (laughing) - So then, all right, well there is a new shoe on the runway. - This is sweeping social media. - You're not a shoe, not a shoe. This is a foot accessory. This is a bag charm for your foot. This is a heel covering. - This is the little boot. - The little booboo of shoes. - This is rage bait is what it is. - Reyna. - Which you find out what it costs. - Chanel put these shoes out. These foot accessories out. These heel covers out on the runway. - They're like toe covers. It's honestly something I should buy. It's like a grill for your toes. It's, you're not your toes. It's your heel. - If they don't cover your toes. - If they don't, there's black down your toes. - Or you're like literally in the front. - The toes are exposed. - It's giving like bunion corrector for the heel. It's like a heel corrector. It looks medical. This is like when you get the little buttons for your crocs to like jazz up your crocs. This is gonna jazz up your heel. - I would rather wear those running shoes with the toes than these. These camp, these are just rage bait, right? Like this is not real. This is not a shoe by definition. It's just a heel cover and an ankle strap. Your toes are out. - So I actually was trying to get some and I don't understand what's happening under the foot. So this is on the Chanel runway. They released these new shoes, I say shoes and quotes on the Chanel runway. It's just like a little cover for your heel. But is there anything under your foot? - No. - At all. And here's the thing. Again, this is, it's just full frontal toes. - Yes. This is funny though. This is not practical and no one should fucking buy these. But on the runway, sure. I wanna be entertained. I will say the models, the pedicures weren't that great. I'm seeing closeups of these feet. - Very men. - And I don't understand what's going on with these Chanel feet. Very men. - I mean, it was supposed to, I think, be just a virality moment. - And that's fine. Again, the same thing is the Met Gallagher. Just entertain us. - People got upset though. - What do they say? - Yeah, and again, a man using a woman's body for shock value. I think not everything has to be the same. - Stop. - Sexualizing feet. - People anyway. This is one of my pet peeves on the internet. - Sexualizing feet. - Yes. If you show your toes, everyone in the comments, ooh, feet picks for free. Stop it. - That is kind of funny. It's like, I don't, you guys better better Joe. (laughs) Like it's all, it's fine. I'm just saying like, sometimes I'm like, it's, can we just, can we just not even bring up the feet? - But some people really are into feet. - I know, they are. - Coming right feet. Be it on their dicks and stuff, people really like it. So the, drop the price. - The rumored price of this is $2,700. - I don't understand high fashion on a lot of levels. You see stuff on the runway and I never really think like it's actually gonna be for sale. Like, I guess everything has a price, but I thought this was just for fun. - Like a joke. - Yes. - I mean, TBD if they're gonna actually release this. - But where are you, are these inside shoes? You can't wear these on the street. Like this. - So it reminds me of this, a Panic in Needle Park, the episode of Girls and Marnie's walking around without shoes around New York City and she said that there was a piece of felt under her feet. As she was wide, they glued felt to her feet so that she could film these scenes where she's walking around Manhattan with no shoes. And I'm wondering if that's what you do with these. I can't figure it out. Which, okay, if you're walking around barefoot on the streets of New York, would you rather go to a hospital? - Have. I guess, get tetanus. Would you rather have your heel covered or the ball or your foot covered? Because I can walk on my heels. - Okay, I'm a ball of the foot girl. I don't walk that great heels, how to take. Guys, I'm not a model. I'm sorry, I guess you guys are figuring out this first time in a model. I put more pressure on the balls. Like when I'm up on my feet all night or performing the balls of my feet hurt worse when I get home, I also just think my heel is more cowless stop. Like I feel like I can withstand more on my heel. - I think I'm gonna revise my answer. I think that you can walk on your tiptoes a little bit as long as you're that parts cover. - So maybe I'd buy the Chanel shoe foot accessory if it was for the balls of your foot. Something has not come across my desk at all. You've been busy. You've had all those shows, whatever. I cannot wait to educate you on this. OK, so this has been a developing story since I believe last week. So this former JP Morgan employee identified as Shirayu Rana. I'm just going to call him Rana. He initially filed a lawsuit as John Doe, but it's his identity has since come out. So we filed a lawsuit accusing Lorna Hajini, a female executive director of the leverage finance team at JP Morgan of sexual assault, drugging, and racial harassment starting in early 2024. So it sounds like they did have a relationship, but he alleges it was abusive. So some highlights from the lawsuit. OK, so she roofied him and took advantage of him. She would say stuff, if you don't fuck me soon, I'm going to ruin you. Never forget I fucking own you. He alleges she told him that if he wanted to be promoted to executive director, he would need to start pleasing her during a work social event. He claims she told him you're going to need to earn it my little Arab boy toy. So there's like racial stuff in here, too. Allegedly she called him like a brownie. And don't worry, it's like crazy. OK, the pinnacle of all of it. She showed it to his apartment. The complaint claims that Hajini then removed her shirt, fondled herself, insulted his wife, - Rana's wife telling him. - The wife in the room? No, like, no, like your wife can't do it like this, basically, so she says, "I bet your little Asian fish head wife "doesn't have these cannons." After dropping those bars, she forcibly removed his pants before performing oral sex on him against his will. He then claims-- - What is it? - What is happening? - Then claims that he continued to protest and began crying, and then according to the lawsuit, she mocked him for crying and not getting hard. Stop fucking crying. You think anyone would ever believe you. You're a fucking douchebag who thinks he's hot shit, but you can't even get your dick hard for me. What the fuck is this? So then, the lawsuit claims she ordered him to perform oral sex on her. Despite his pleas of, "Please don't make me do this." According to the complaint, he feared she would retaliate against his career. Okay, so he files his lawsuits in-- People are like, "What out of what porn is this?" And a lot of this doesn't sound real. Okay, I'll listen. I want to-- - What you're gonna do-- - I'm gonna put you down there. I want to believe men when they say that this happened to them. Okay, you've never heard of this from a woman in my entire life. Of course she works in finances, decide. - Do you believe that, man? - I don't believe anybody. - Okay, so she denies it completely. - Okay. - It's like, "Where's your-- "This had just didn't happen. "JP Morgan doesn't investigation. "There doesn't appear to be any proof." And he, Rana, who filed the complaint, doesn't cooperate with the investigation. - What? - There are no witnesses. - And there's no text messages or emails. - Yes, it's not written down. - Yes, and of course the woman is smart enough to cover her tracks. - Well, also you're like, "JP Morgan's doing an internal investigation "on one of their own executives." Whatever. Also, I read that she's not even really his superior. Like, she's not as boss. I mean, maybe she has pull, but she's not as boss. And then, so basically the general consensus is that this was completely fabricated. - What? - The craziest part is that he said that should about his own wife. (laughing) If he made this up, then he called his own wife and finished it. Okay, so the lawsuit disappears. This goes the way. What year was this? - This is last week. (laughing) It started in 2024, a lot. So then, the lawsuit disappears and the internet is abuzz with. He clearly made this up. And like, I know the women can be abusers like 3%. Right, this situation, I don't think this happens in real life. Like, grown men, grown women in the workplace, you're my sex slave now. Like, I don't. - Showing up to his home and forcing him to do things that are pussy. - But also, the canons are the smoking gun. No one, no woman's like, but your wife doesn't have these canons. That's not a thing. He refiled it yesterday. - Okay. - So it was withdrawn. He refiled it yesterday with new details, including testimony from a family friend, a family friend, who claims to have witnessed her behavior in a New York City apartment where that guy was invited for a threesome. So allegedly, a family friend was invited into a threesome, so now he's gonna testify, I guess. Okay, a consensual threesome. Are there text messages? Is there people still think this is real? And here's what I'm gonna tell you. This is crazy. This guy, in 2024, took three months' leave of work because his father died. - Okay. - His father's alive. - He lied about his father died. - That's crazy. - The father is out doing interviews. I didn't know about any of this. And they're like, aren't you dead? Three months from the grave. - Back from the grave. - Faked his father's death. So pathological liar, Faked his father's death. And then people are saying KFC was saying this. He was saying that he took three months of leave preparing this lawsuit, what a crazy person. - I mean, if you're gonna take three months, you should have some receipts at least of this stuff happening. Like, you should have spent the three months like photoshopping and like using cloth to create a backstory here. Like, of course a man can't even correctly craft a case. - But there's, yeah, there's no proof. I mean, if there's, if there was proof, then this wouldn't be a question. - Yeah, this obviously, I mean, this is not a case of like, he's lying, she's, I mean, whatever. Any sort of abuse is wrong. But this guy who lied about his father dying, we'll never believe you. I'm on her side forever. And what people are saying too, is that they had some sort of relationship and his wife found out. And that's why he over corrected. - Understandable. - But he was to say, yeah. I mean, that certainly can happen with people. - Wow. - So this is a developing story, he was refiled. - As we record, he refiled the lawsuit with even more insane details, the threesome witness. I mean, he's still going for it. - Some people will just, I mean, remember that Clayton from the bachelor, that woman that she's like, she just kept inventing stuff and she wouldn't stop. And like, it was so clearly, she basically, what happened with him is he was a real tour, he had a client, he went out with a hook-top, they didn't even have sex and she faked a pregnancy. And this went on for months and she involved lawyers and she was blackmailing him and it wasn't true. I mean, people will go to the end of the earth to proof that you just find the wrong crazy person. - Well, some people also want money out of a settlement and no matter what, this harms her reputation forever. I mean, this is going to be tied to her name on the internet forever. But I think she is still with JP Morgan. Like, they're like, you didn't do anything wrong. This crazy kid is making this up. That's what it appears to see. But, you know, we'll see. - This is crazy. - So I just wanted to fill you in on that. - Wow. - This is Shoshong's Roman Empire. - I have to leave now and also as a brown guy, like he's reading this and he's just like, this is crazy 'cause if you made this up, he's making up racial slurs about himself. - And his, and his wife. - And his wife is the crazy part. - Like, that means wife. I'm like, what did you have to drag me into this? This is crazy. - So that's developing story. We will keep you guys posted. - I just finished the book. I'm reading another book. I just want to tell you about them. So, maybe one of the top five favorite books I've ever read yesterday by Cara Claire Burke. - I'm like halfway through. I'm blowing through it. - So this is a book about a tradwife who is a social media influencer. It's heavily based on ballerina farm, Hannah Neelman, who has 10 million followers. And she is the most famous tradwife of all time. She's about a nineth kid. - Most famous tradwife. - Pretty much, right? - Really? She's pregnant with her ninth baby. She is, in real life, she's married to a man whose family owns JetBlue Airlines, a very wealthy family. Anyways, this book is about an influencer tradwife who wakes up one day in 1855 as an actual tradwife. And you go back and forth every chapter between 1855 and Kerry Day. And you're trying to figure out the whole book. How does she get there? And so you're like, is she having a mental breakdown? She hallucinating. Is this a dream? Did she actually time travel? And it's so fascinating just talking about like women in social media today and people's quote unquote brands and what religion has done to women and what money and the patriarchy has done to women and what people will transform themselves into to be influencers today. And I was hanging on every single word. - I am so riveted. It is so well written. It opens so hot. It opens and like, is she kind of, it appears that she's being interviewed or she's kind of, well, don't tell me. She is being interviewed throughout the whole book and you're not sure for what or by whom and you will find out in the final chapter. - So then it cuts right to 1855, like Grena said, and then it oscillates back and forth, like not even chapter by chapter. You just, I mean, you could figure it out, it's pretty clear. But then they go back to her and essentially high school college and how she got there and how she met her husband. It's so enthralling. Like all I wanna do is read this fucking book. I'm resentful of all the work we have to do 'cause I can't just read it. I mean, I'm reading it and digesting it but reading it very fast. Like I was a big book, I'm almost halfway done. I've only had like two quick plane flights and I'm just like, can't stop. So it's one of the hottest books right now. It's so, so wonderful. And yeah, Grena can't like spoil it 'cause I'm, I don't really know. And that, when you describe it, my initial reaction is what I, and what I typically like to read is like, yeah, that sounds a little fantasy, a little unrealistic, it doesn't fucking matter. It's, I am so into it. You don't have to like an unrealistic fantasy type story to appreciate it. Yeah, I, you're wondering the whole time is this sci-fi? Did she really wake up in 1855? Yeah, she thinks she's on a set maybe. Yes, like a Truman show kind of thing. The ending delivered so hard for me. I couldn't read, how they wrapped it up. Like, it blew my fucking mind. I read it three times. I just had to like read, digest what I felt like. I can't wait. I'm just gonna abandon everything. Sorry guys, we're not gonna do the show tonight. And I can't, don't call me on that. So my friend, Brooke, who, her and I share books a lot, she's actually like getting a higher education in library science. And she's just a big book person. She was leaving my house. She came over to watch the special. And she had two books in her hand. She was just out my bookcase. And I'm like, take whatever you want. And she comes over. She has strangers by bell burden, which we loved. And with yesterday or in her hand. And she goes, I'm gonna take these two. I go, no. And someone, Halley was right there. She laughed, because I go, no, that's not what you can take. I haven't, that's the tags on them. You can't see my shirt. But like everybody laughed. I was like, gaff, she's like, OK, girl, I'm not. I won't take it. Well, I can't wait for you to finish it. And just like, I can't stop talking about it. It's a fun nominal. My sister-in-law is reading it for her. book club. Everybody I talked to about it is like I'm reading it currently. And the other book that I'm reading is Famsack by Lena Dunham. And this is her second book she's the creator and star of Girls, which is a really just important show in my life. It's a top five show of all time for me. And it's really fascinating. You know, she, I didn't really think about this really because she, she got such a bad rap. I mean, people really dislike her and hated her in the media. And she's gotten a lot of really, really negative press. But the book she really talks about how she wrote this movie called Tiny Furniture that she self-produced. She released it and pretty much overnight was offered this deal by HBO to write and produce and create star and girls. And she was 24 and she was handed this tremendous amount of success. It's an amount of a level of success I can't even comprehend. And I think a lot of people, they sort of wellman them around in the middle in terms of success for a long time before you're catapulted to that level of like you're winning Emmys, you know. And she sort of overnight got catapulted into this and was a very sick person, but mentally and physically. Yeah. And was really struggling with that in the public eye. And she just talks about it a lot. Her substance abuse problems, her eating disorder issues, the all the physical issues in and out of hospitals just continuously. And sort of girls with six or seven seasons, I forget, which how many? Yeah. And the work sort of never stopped. It was, you know, right the show, act in the show, edit the show. She never stopped at this very young age. Yeah, she was 24, like I would be canceled. Like I just wouldn't have been, I'd do something, you know. And this was also at the time where like TikTok and Instagram wasn't really around. You couldn't just like get on your Instagram story and be like, this isn't true what people are saying about me. So it's taking on a context, whatever it was. It gave me a lot of empathy for her and like what she must have been going through at that age. And you guys should read if you're a fan of girls. The most interesting thing I learned from this is her and Adam Driver really had no relationship with each other. They didn't speak for the last three years of the show at all. Like just filmed together. He even filmed it. So they wrote their relationship kind of off the show. He dates another actress and then he ends up with Jimi McCurk for the last two seasons. And so they actually don't really act together at all. Oh, okay. And so they really had no relationship. She makes, she paints a pretty terrible portrait of him. Not, not as a terrible person. Just somebody who just like wasn't very kind and pretty much wanted nothing to do with her. Interesting. I cannot wait to read it. I am loving her press tour. There's some sound bites that have like stuck with me. Is it the quiet luxury sound break? No, I just saw one on Drew Barrymore about her talking about the stuff that we as women do. I feel like emotional. I just have, I've really enjoyed watching her talk about this book and going on all these shows. And she looks different than she used to. You know, and I like when she talks about physical appearances. And she sets up saying something about what we do is women and why we do it. And you say it's for yourself, but how are you supposed to know anymore? And Drew Barrymore stunned. And it is like stuck with me so much. Like how are we supposed to know? Like I've just, I've had a lot of thoughts and feelings about what we do, standards of beauty, why we do it, who fucking cares, why we care. And I've just been really inspired by seeing her. And I cannot wait to read the book. And I love that she's back in this way. She's spreading a positive message and being so fucking funny. What did I see? I saw she with Andy Cohen. She was talking about summer house and just fucking nailing it. That's funny. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway. So I liked it. I just, I think that she got a really, really bad rap. And I forgot just how young she was and all this happened. And when she talks about how the work just never stopped for one minute and just how deeply sick she was. And she was just hospitalized continuously. Yeah. And like chronic pain. And I can't imagine extreme people who go through that. She just just, she had like an ametriosis. And she had an ametriosis. She had like, at one point, I think they removed 30 ulcers from her uterus. She had a hysterectomy, which is like, they won't give you a hysterectomy unless you get like a psycho vow. So my friend just did all of it taken out. She had this endo for ever. Heidi, who was in my wedding, Heidi LIS, her Instagram. And she's been documenting the journey and like went and got this surgery in Mexico and got it all taken out and like her recovery and like just her life of living with that for so long. And I, I'm going to cry, but like her husband, I became friends with them first. That's how I know her. I've known him for so many years. And he said, I want to go back to all the places that we traveled when you were sick because you should be like, experience them pain-free. Oh, I can't handle it. And you just see people like that. And they show up for you and they're building businesses. They're doing stuff. And you're like, they're in so much pain. Their bodies are failing them. And they still, she still came to the wedding. You wouldn't know it. You know, like we even done them created so much incredible art while she was dealing with that. I mean, this is a story of so many women just pushing past the pain. And I felt that the tone of the book wasn't like, give me a break. I felt the tone was just like, here's the story. It wasn't like, you know, I was so terrible. But yeah, feel bad for me. It's just like, here's what was happening. And that's all that, that's how I digested the tone. And I mean, it's just, it's a lot of medical trauma. And she was with Jack Antonov this whole time. I didn't realize that was her boyfriend the almost entire time she was starting to finish. All of girls, the whole time she was creating, writing, producing, I'm starring in it. So they had a very long time relationship, which I didn't realize. Well, I can't wait to read it. Okay, let's just talk about our remaining partners. So they were rumored to be shutting down and I thought that they were gonna wind down operations. But no, full company shut down. All flights canceled. All employees terminated overnight. Over night, they were hoping for a government bailout. - Sure. - So there's been like jokes and memes, of course. I mean, the funniest meme I saw was hanging the Spirit Halloween sign over the Spirit Airlines plane. Did you see that? - I saw a lot of flags that have masked and pretty much could figure out why. - But it is sad. I mean, these people lost their jobs. I was seeing some TikToks of pilots giving their final flight and their remarks and then these flight attendants. And so, of course, we feel for anybody. I mean, you dedicate your life to this job and it just is overnight. And it's crazy to shut down an airline without notice because people have returned flights. - No, people were saying we were at the airport stranded 'cause we couldn't get on these flights. - I feel like I need more information. Like, why couldn't they give more notice? Like, they could have, right? Like, I get peace. - So they were in the running for a $500 million of government bailout, it fell through. So yes, they have known for a long time. - But they just had no more money to operate for one more week. And I know fuel prices are high and that played into it. But like, you don't have enough money to operate for one more week. And just to give people who were on a trip with a return flight and more of an option. Like, that's insane. I am shocked by it. Maybe you guys can explain it in the comments. But I can't imagine a business just can't have a little more runway, no pun intended. - I mean, they knew this was happening. 17,000 employees lost their jobs. They stopped operations just overnight, canceled all flights on May 2nd. So it is a pretty shocking crazy thing. And in general, fuel has gotten extremely expensive. I mean, gas prices, it cost me 650 a gallon this week to fill up my tank. And I was like, who could afford to drive? - It's so crazy. - Flights have gotten exorbitantly. I don't even. I do easy jet a lot in Europe and those type of airlines. - Yeah, the cheaper airlines. I never flew it. - Oh yeah, I have a couple times. - I flew budget airlines back in my 20s. And like, air train was one I used to fly a lot. But I never flew spirit. I flew frontier ones, those, but I've never flown it. So RIP, I'm sorry I never got to experience it. I think someone was saying they'd a perfect track record, no accident. - No accidents, it's like the only airline. It ends up being expensive if you want to select a seat to bring a bag on, have a seat belt. So like, top, have a tray table. - Okay, and lastly, Blake Lively and Justin Bell Doni, they reached a shocking settlement to their legal battle two weeks before they go to trial. So. - This is crazy. - This is by the way, extremely crazy because, and we deserve to trial. - Yes, we did. And also, like, there is very little information known about the settlement. It is a closed settlement. People are saying no money was exchanged. - I don't need the money. - This was all for fun. - This was all for legal. - This is just a clown money. - All remaining claims have been dropped. So no trial, there's a mutual release of liability, possible non disparagement terms. But like, that's it, cleanly and quietly. So why were we all dragged through the mud for years? Just give us the trial. - Why were we dragged through the mud? Why were we dragged through the mud as people would nothing to do with this? I had nothing better to do. - I'm not surprised.
