This is an I Heart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey guys, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick and guess what? We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast. Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it, but you know, tired and sick. Tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen, we don't care where you hear it. Your husband is not who you think he is. Your body is not what you thought it was. Your identity is formed by a secret history. I'm Danny Shapiro. And these are just a few of the stunning stories I'll be exploring on the 14th season of Family Secrets. He kind of showed me out of the way and said move. And he went out the front door and he jumped in a car and drove off. And that was the last time I saw him. Listen to season 14 of Family Secrets on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. June is Black Music Month and on the Drink Champs Podcast, we're speaking with the hottest names in the culture like Sway Lee. Do you realize how legendary you are? I appreciate it. I've seen it, but I'm like, I've been asked to do like so much more to do like Prince. He's got like 30 albums. We just like fire right now. That's the rate we got to be going. That's a good attitude. No matter the era, Drink Champs brings you the biggest names and the most unfiltered conversations. Listen to Drink Champs from the Black Effect Podcasts Network on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shankar, a cognitive scientist and host of the podcast, A Slight Change of Plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long. The need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. You can have opinions, you can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body, having its own program. Listen to a Slight Change of Plans on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey everyone and welcome back to the Spirit Dauder Podcast. I'm Jill Winterstein, aka Spirit Dauder. And today we are continuing our house series with the second house. So if you tuned in last week, you would have heard all about the first house, which is about who you are, your identity, your identity of self. It is the house of the self. This week is all about the second house, which is your house of money, of self worth, of values, of what you own. And if you've ever struggled with any of these things, which to be honest, most of us have, then this episode is for you. I will talk a little bit about the second house and then I will go through what it means to have each of the 12 signs in the second house. So grab your chart. If you haven't handy, you can always pull it at chart.spiritdauder.com and sit down. It's time to learn about the second house. The second house is all about our resources. And so this includes our inner resources and our external resources. So yes, it's the house of money, but it's so much more than your bank account. It's about your self worth. It's about your values. It's about the foundation that you build abundance from. If you do not feel that you are worthy and deserving of abundance, including financial abundance, then it won't appear in your life. And this is the message of the second house. Your self worth, how you value yourself, what you believe your value is in this world directly correlates with that number in your bank account, as well as abundance in all forms, including how abundant you allow yourself to be in time, in friendships, in health, everything. And so it's all encompassing here in the second house. It's also just a really interesting house to understand your relationship with money. Do you feel like money is a constant in your life or do you feel like you could disappear at any time? But it is your earliest relationship with money that can be seen in the second house or the pattern that you developed because of your relationship with money or even your parents or caregivers relationship with money can be seen in the second house. And so we are going to talk all about what the second house means in your chart. And we will dive in to understanding the zodiac themes of the second house. Let's start it off with aries in the second house. If you have aries governing the second house, you like to take action around your resources around your money. You like to go out and get it. You like to make things happen. That's aries. Mars will rule your second house. And so there's a lot of ambition here, especially around finances and around money. You are the go getter of the zodiac. You also need to learn some patience though, especially around finances and around your self worth. Give yourself some time. You don't always have to be taking action for the sake of taking action. And you certainly never want to force anything, especially around abundance. There's times when you need to sit back and let it flow. That your intuition leads you instead of acting for the sake of acting or doing things because you feel that your self worth is tied to your ability to take action or initiate things. You know that you're worthy of abundance in all forms just by receiving it. You don't have to go out and grasp it to prove your worth. You don't have to make it happen to prove your worth. Your self worth is in who you are and the strength that you carry. Not in what your ability is to go out and start things. In the second house, Taurus in the second house is right at home. Taurus is the natural ruler of the second house. So it loves to be here. If you have this placement, you have some stability around your finances and your possessions. You know that accumulating wealth takes time and takes patience. And you're a great saver. You allow things to build up before you spend them. Venus is your second house ruler. If you have Taurus on this cusp and Venus really reminds us that our surroundings are important. The beauty that is around us is important for creating our foundation for creating our container. So if you have Taurus in the second house, you probably know that having the right wallpaper or the right colors around you or the right textures underneath of you is important for setting the foundation for your abundance. You need to feel comfortable in your space so that you can feel comfortable within and then you create from the stillness. And you can create many forms of abundance with Taurus in the second house. But oftentimes it's slow and patient. Things don't just happen overnight. You are not into nor would they ever work for you the get quick rich schemes that is not Taurus in the second house. It's methodical, it's patience, and it knows how to save. If you have Taurus here, your self worth is really built upon your ability to be present with yourself. You know your worthy of things. And the more present you can become in the now in full presence of your body of your breath of connecting to your roots connecting to your soul. It's connecting to your stability. The more you will connect to your self worth and know that your self worth is never tied to the number in your bank account. You can be worthy of so much even if that number falls short of your expectations. Gemini in the second house. If you have a Gemini governing your second house, you probably have multiple streams of income. Gemini likes versatility. It likes variety. Gemini likes variety. It likes things to shift and change. You may even make money through communication, speaking, sending messages, writing, teaching, allowing other people to learn from you. And you can sell anything. Gemini in the second house gives you the ability to use your words to sell. And so you might make a great marketer. You might have found a career in marketing using your words to write copy and to sell things. The one thing is with Gemini in the second house, your income streams tend to fluctuate. So money may feel like a roller coaster ride for you and you might not feel safe in it. You might feel like money comes in like a flood storm one week and then the other. It's a drought. And so just notice that and notice how you can regulate your own nervous system to help produce a steady income stream and steady abundance flowing into your life. Know that abundance doesn't have to be a roller coaster ride. Yes, it might be exciting. Yes, it might be thrilling. But those downspikes may be dysregulating your nervous system. And so the way out of this is to know that you're worthy of feeling calm and feeling at peace and feeling stable within your body, within your breath, within your nervous system. And when you achieve that, you can call in all forms of abundance. Cancer in the second house. If you have cancer on this cost for governing the second house, then you have an emotional relationship with money. money. And when you feel emotionally stable in your life, your finances reflect that. And so it serves you very well to take care of yourself, to give yourself self-care, to take care of your emotional world, to sit with your emotions, to journal with them, and know the more stable you feel in your emotional body, the more stable your financial world will be as well, and your ability to create resources in any form. The moon rules your second chart. And that means that money may go through cycles, just like the moon waxes and wanes you might find that you have periods of abundance with money and periods where it feels like it's waning. Again, like with Gemini, you need to really feel regulated through these waning periods and know that just like the moon, it will be full again. Abundance is always around the corner and it's always coming towards you. With cancer here, you may feel that yourself worth is really tied to your ability to take care of others, to nurture others. And so you may have a profession that includes caregiving of some way, mothering of some way, even hospitality, doing something that allows you to care for others. And while this is a great gift, know that your self worth is not tied to your ability to take care of other people. You're worthy of self care yourself, even if you need to just sit back and receive for a while. And it can do you very well to practice that art of receiving because that's what will help you attract and call in the abundance you deserve. We'll be right back after a quick break. Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, the news news? First people to do podcasts. Pretty wide range of podcasts around there. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with the name Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. And we are thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down. Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast. We could call in and say, Hey Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little note pad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent. And that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long, the need to change. Listen to a slight change of plans on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Mainstream media is full of cruel depictions of the unhoused, stories that shane and blame and paint the unhoused as a monolith. We the unhoused is the podcast that's changing that. I'm Theal Henderson, creator and host and for years I've created a space where the unhoused and their advocates can tell their own stories. In the last few months alone, I've interviewed unhoused parents, immigrants, mutual aid organizers, veterans, the LGBTQTIA plus community and the policymakers who make the laws that impact the unhoused existence. We the unhoused is a two time webby and signal award winning show with many exciting guests on the horizon. Tune in this week for my interview with Dr. Jill Wichora, a street doctor turned in fluencer who's worked with the unhoused community has made a huge impact online and in her community. Listen to We the unhoused on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Your body is not what you saw it was. I'm Danny Shapiro and these are just a few of the stunning stories I'll be exploring on the 14th season of Family Secrets. Just then we felt the plain turn in the air so much so that the bags that were under people's seats just kind of flew into the aisle. Each week we dive headfirst into the complex power of secrecy, how it shapes our identities and relationships and how it ultimately can reveal to us our trueest selves. My daughter, she's pretending she doesn't know but is trying to cook and feed me and keep me alive because I wasn't eating anything and me pretending like everything was fine. He kind of showed me out of the way and said move and he went out the front door and he jumped in a car and drove off and that was the last time I saw him. Listen to season 14 of Family Secrets on the I Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Leo in the second house, if Leo is governing your second house, you attract abundance easily, especially through creativity, through being yourself, they're showing up and taking the space you deserve. The sun is the ruler of your second house, which means when you align with your core self, when you align with work that lights your soul up, then abundance follows. But if you align with soul crushing work or things that don't light you up just for the sake of earning money, it actually has the opposite effect. It's really important for you to be true to who you are and the unique gifts that you bring to the world and you have so many. You have many forms of creative expression and when you lean into these and when you lean into your ability to lead through your heart, then abundance comes from unexpected places. It's important for you to know though that you are worthy of this abundance without recognition of your gifts. The only applause you need is your own and that will be all the worthiness you need to attract the abundance you deserve. Your self worth needs to be rooted in how you feel about yourself, not how other people feel about you. Virgo in the second house. If Virgo governs your second house, you're very practical with money, you're very methodical. You may be a great saver. You're very detailed with your budgets and understanding where your money is coming in from and where your money is going out. You can maybe use little flexibility with your money. You don't have to have every cent figured out or counted. You want to leave some space for the unimaginable abundance can come in through unexpected sources and this is part of the magic of life. With Mercury ruling the second house for you, your ability to problem solve, your ability to use your intelligence comes through and anything you do to make money. You may have a job that uses your ability to see things, to discern things, to understand the details of things. To understand that budgets and spreadsheets are important, financial forecasts are important. We can even think of this with a stockbroker or somebody who works on Wall Street. They need to understand the numbers. It can be much more magical though as well, but just know that your mind is sharp, especially around finances and this is a great asset that you can bring both to yourself and to others. It's also important to know that you are worthy of abundance no matter how much you do or be of service to somebody. You can be of service to yourself and still be worthy of abundance and you never need to be perfect. Your self worth sometimes can get tied to perfection and know that you don't have to be perfect to be good enough and you don't need to be perfect in order to be worthy. You're worthy as you are today in your imperfections. So allow yourself to be imperfect and know the more you can accept yourself, the more abundance will follow. Libra in the second house. If you have Libra governing your second house, you have an interesting relationship with money and Libra is the sign of relationships. You may see your income streams coming through collaborations, through partnerships, through relationships. Some of your financial resources may be dependent upon your unions with other people. And so that's important to know that your partners can be a great resource for income and other potential. With Venus ruling your second house, you're attracted to beauty in your surroundings and you may find yourself spending a lot on your partners. You may also find yourself having trouble making financial decisions both independently and within partnerships. Money is a constant conversation with your partners and you need to lean into those conversations. You may want to share. try away from them at first thinking that they're not fun or they don't bring joy, but the more you can have those serious money talks with your partners, the better your foundation and your stability will become around finances. And know that your self-worth isn't dependent upon your ability to people please or make somebody else happy. You're here in this world to find balance within yourself and balance in your inner resources. And it's great that partners can be along for the right, but you don't have to sacrifice yourself or your self-worth for anyone else. Scorpio in the second house. If you have Scorpio governing in your second house, you have one of the most intense relationships with money in the whole zodiac. Scorpio is intense, it goes deep, and it views money as energy, just as it views everything else. And so you could have huge upward swings in your finances and huge downward swings. Money might even feel like a roller coaster ride because it's constantly transforming in your life. But you view it at its depth, you view it past the surface, you see it as an energy form that you can literally pick out of the sky and bring into your life. You understand your power to attract money in all forms. And it almost takes on so much meaning that it becomes meaningless. Meaning that if you have like a giant bill sitting in front of you, it's not just the numbers, you're just seeing that as energy. And so you might not have any fear around it. And therefore that fear doesn't dysregulate you because when we have a huge bill and it scares us, it dysregulates us. And then we're not able to call in the abundance we need to pay for it. With Scorpio in your second house though, and Pluto rolling it, you go deep with money. And so you see the fear and then you move past it. You transform it into something else. And so if money scares you on any level, you understand that that is just a path of transformation for you and you can transform anything. You trust yourself and you trust your inner resources. And you know that you have the resilience to create and manifest any amount of money that you deem worthy of. And so there's the catch. You have to feel worthy of this abundance, deeply worthy, and a worthiness that goes beyond your power to transform. So you know you're powerful, but you also need to know that you are perfect as you are and you don't need to keep transforming yourself in order to call in abundance. You can stay right where you are and grow the abundance instead of changing everything around you. You can attract it effortlessly without having to burn everything down to rebuild again. Sagittarius in the second house. So if you have Sagittarius governing the energy of your second house, you feel expanded by money. You feel hopeful about money. You believe money will just come to you when you need it to. There's a serendipity around money that honestly we all can learn from. You just expect it to flow in when you need it and usually it does. Jupiter rolls your second house and so you feel expanded. You feel lucky. You feel like you're here and abundance will find you. And like I said, it usually does. One word of caution is that you might have a tendency to overspend because you know that money will come in. Sometimes you can end up in credit card debt or buying things that you don't necessarily need because you trust that money will always find you. And so you have to really ask yourself, how do I want to spend my resources? If I can call in any amount of money possible, how do I want to direct it? How do I want to use it to change my life? How do I want to use it to create a stability in my life? Without the fear of it falling away or without the fear of something happening that I won't have this resource anymore. So use it to create stability. Although it's really fun to use it to create pleasurable experiences in your life. You'll have a lot of those, but just save some of it. Save some of that money that flows in effortlessly because the more money you have saved in the bank, the more you'll be able to feel secure within yourself. And then from that security, you'll create the most wonderful experiences. And you always know that you're worthy of these experiences, believing into that self-worth and knowing that you don't always have to be expanding to be worthy of abundance. You don't always have to be spending for it to come in. You can actually hold money and allow it to build and grow. Capricorn in the second house. If you have Capricorn governing your second house, you're one of the most financially disciplined people in the zodiac. You understand the importance of money. You create structures around money. And you take money seriously with Saturn ruling this house. Your financial life may have started out slowly. You may have felt like you had a work twice as hard to accumulate money compared to people around you. But the gift of Saturn is that it pays off the time. So while you might have started slowly and felt like money was hard to earn, as you grow into your 30s or 40s, you'll feel that money flows in abundantly and effortlessly because of the work you put in early on. You know that financial stability is through work. It doesn't just happen to most of us. It's created through hard work, through patience, and through putting in the time that you need to really create the financial abundance that you deserve. People with Capricorn in the second house often tend to be our bankers, our stock brokers, the people who think about money. Most of the day, it can serve you well to take a break from it though. You don't always need to be thinking about money and you definitely don't need to tie yourself worth to your bank accounts. Even if you are not financially abundant, you're still worthy of that abundance. That's an important concept for you to learn. You don't need the abundance to be worthy of it. And if you're finding yourself wanting more abundance in your life, just know that you're already worthy of it and let yourself feel that throughout every fiber of your being. And now a quick word from our wonderful sponsors. What's the news, news news? We've created our own podcast called, "Hey Jonas, we invented a podcast?" Well, we didn't invent it. We just concluded first. Pretty wide range of podcasts. We're starting a trend. So how do we actually come up with the name, "Hey Jonas, guys"? And we are thinking, I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. Yes. When we were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, we would call it in and say, "Hey Jonas," and then I broke down in my little note pad, "Hey Jonas," and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. Listen to "Hey Jonas, on the iHeart Radio App, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast." Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. You can have, like, a strong stance. I'm Dr. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. Listen to a slight change of plans on the iHeart Radio App, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Mainstream media is full of cruel depictions of the unhoused, stories that shane, emblane, paint the unhoused as a monolith. Each week, we dive headfirst into the complex power of secrecy, how it shapes our identities and relationships, and how it ultimately can reveal to us our truest selves. Listen to season 14 of Family Secrets, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Aquarius in the second house. If you have Aquarius governing your second house, you have an unconventional way of dealing with understanding and working with money. You may even make money or call in abundance through unique ways that most people wouldn't think about. You may have unique businesses or you may have a project that just brings in unexpected abundance. You may have money come in through unusual sources that most people wouldn't even understand. You have a complex relationship with money because you feel that while you deserve it, you also need to give back to the collective. There's a tension between how much you're saving and how much you're doing what you want with your money, that serves others. Your self-worth is rooted in your ability to think differently, to think outside the box. You have Saturn and Uranus both ruling this second house. And so, while Saturn says, "Let's be responsible. Let's commit to something." Uranus is like, "Let's do something unique. Let's do something fun. Let's disrupt some status quo around money." And so you may find some part of your life doing just that, disrupting what people think in our society about money, maybe even changing the way we think about money for the greater collective. For you, you have to know that your self-worth is not dependent on your ability to bring change to others. You deserve abundance for you as an individual. You don't always need to immediately contribute back to the collective. It's beautiful that you want to, but it's also important to know that your worthiness is not tied to your ability to shape and change society around you. Know that you're worthy of that abundance no matter what. And finally, Pisces in the second house. If you have Pisces ruling your second house, you have very intuitive relationship with money. It's almost mysterious to you. It comes in, it flows in easily, it flows out easily. And you use your intuition and your ability to heal to create more of it in your life. You may even make intuitive calls on things like the stock market or where you should invest your money. You're led by your intuition and you should keep doing so. Even if other people are telling you to use logic or spreadsheets or forecasting systems or something like that, even if you're a business owner, use your intuition when making money decisions first. It will serve you well. Your intuition knows so much about your financial resources and about all forms of abundance. And so listen to it. And know that you have a higher vision when it comes to money. You have a higher understanding. Neptune rules your second house. And so it's here saying, "Okay, let's widen our vision. Let's go even bigger. Let's take away the boundaries of money and let it flow in." And ask yourself, "What barriers have you created that may disrupt money from flowing freely into your life? What barriers do you need to dissolve? What limiting beliefs do you need to let go of? Because with Pisces here in the second house, money is an internal job. So it's all about how you feel and what you feel you deserve. And it's about understanding the limiting beliefs, the patterns, the condition patterns you were taught, the limit, your ability to receive and call in money. Because it's all available to you if you just dissolve those boundaries that are preventing it from flowing freely into your life. And know that your self-worth is not dependent on your ability to heal others or give to others. It's dependent upon your ability to be compassionate to yourself in all situations. You're worthy of abundance. Even if you're not using it to heal other people. And also know that if you are a healer, in which many people with Pisces in the second house are, what they do for a living is tied to their intuition or tied to their ability to heal. It's okay to charge for your services. It's okay to charge for your worth and what your worth. Money is not some non-spiritual thing. It is part of your spiritual life, especially with Pisces ruling the second house. And you need to get comfortable with it and feel you are worthy of it. And so there we have it, the second house. The house of money, the house of self-worth, the house of values, the house of internal resources and external. I hope you learned something about yourself and your relationship with money. And I encourage you to journal about a question that maybe this episode sparked within you. And if you know somebody who could benefit from listening to this episode, please share it with them. And remember to subscribe to the Spirit Dollar Podcast so that you can continue this health series with us. Next up is the third house, how we communicate and our communication style. I can't wait to dive into that. See you next time and thanks for listening. [Music] Hey guys, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. We just contributed to our first people to do podcasts. Getting a racist statue removed. And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is. Getting a new one put up in its place. I'm Achila Hughes and Rebel Spirit season two is about both of those things. I was watching these statues come down. I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city in which there were more homages, two enslavers than there were two enslaved people.
