The Science & Physiology of Frequency Training | Neural Pathways & Nervous System Capacity
23m 18s
The speaker introduces his new book "The Frequency Era," which addresses navigating the AI-driven economic shift. He argues that as AI makes knowledge and information processing abundant, their economic premium declines, and value shifts to "frequency"—the automatic expression of the nervous system through human capacities like creativity, emotional regulation, and clear thinking. This requires a change in personal and professional development from learning-focused methods (e.g., reading, courses) to training the subconscious foundation. The subconscious is built on dominant neural pathways (identity, beliefs, intentions) that automatically set the nervous system's state, influencing emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. By using repetition and lived experience, new neural pathways can be established in about 62 days, shifting the nervous system toward a more parasympathetic (calm, resource-rich) state. This is measurable via proxies like heart rate variability (HRV), which correlates with better performance and stress handling. As the nervous system's capacity grows through consistent training, it enhances relationships through nervous system co-regulation, where others sense and respond to one's state. The speaker highlights that this automatic regulation, not coping techniques, leads to deeper connections in leadership, parenting, and community. He invites listeners to explore the book, the Encoded AI system, and share their questions for future episodes.

I invite you to go check that out if you like. Now I'd like to do a solo episode that fully encompasses the physiology, the science, the details of what is actually happening that makes frequency training so effective, so consistent, and how it all works. I think it's a really interesting point. It's noted in the book, so tiny with spoil, or it's not that big of a spoiler, but when the economic shift is occurring, which we are in the midst of an economic shift driven by technology known as AI, and the economics are moving from knowledge and information processing no longer being scarce anymore. AI is making knowledge and information processing more abundant, and therefore based on supply and demand, the premium paid on knowledge, accumulation, and information processing is going down. We're seeing that in entry-level job market declining, job categories, software development, customer service declining, tons of company layoffs happening, particularly in large organizations with very big hierarchies, hierarchies collapsing through 15 or 20% of total workforce layoffs. We're already seeing this occurring that the supply and demand is shifting, and when it shifts, it's shifting now not to what you know and how you process it, but instead your frequency. How your frequency is expressed through your nervous system and into these human intelligence capacities that can't be replicated by AI, and all the foundation of all of these capacities is set before we start thinking or doing anything. It is set automatically based on our frequency and our nervous system. It happens in milliseconds, and it happens all the time without us thinking about it. This economic shift is occurring, and the value is shifting to something different. When these shifts happen, the training target and how we develop these skills will shift. It is similar to when people worked in factories, they would go to vocational school. They would try to get stronger, more endurance, learn how to use the machines. It was skilled labor. When they shifted from the industrial era to the knowledge era, the training target and the training methods changed. It shifted from this vocational school into college. The target shifted from skilled labor to the conscious mind. Then the main method started to be learning, learning new skills, accumulating information, developing the ability to process information and do conscious thinking and things like that. What I'm inviting people to consider is that this shift requires a shift in the primary method of our development, both for personal and professional advancement. It shifts from the primary method being learning. That means taking courses, reading books, listening to podcasts, going to events and listening to keynotes, all those things. I invite you to still do them. They still matter. They can still be valuable. What I'm saying is that it's not the primary method of development to develop the skills of the next era. That the primary method of development must shift to the development methods that train and develop our frequency, which is not based on learning. It is based on training. The target must shift. The target of the previous era was related to storing information in our conscious mind. That the training target for the future must be targeted at the things that happen before we think or do anything. Therefore, the training target is shifting to our frequency or otherwise known as our subconscious foundation. We're going to get into the science about exactly how this works. Let's do that right now. Our subconscious foundation is built on tons of dominant neural pathways, meaning that these have been ingrained in our subconscious mind. They occur automatically as we continue to live our life. They can be things like our identity, the reference point that we use to understand who we are and what we do and why we do it. It can be our beliefs. It can be how we choose to interpret the world and how we predict what is going to happen based on our belief system. Our intentions are underlying driver of our behavior. What happens is that over our life experience through both being taught these things, either directly or indirectly and begin to see them in our life experience, they become a dominant neural pathway. When we experience our life, we experience it and it automatically gets filtered through these dominant neural pathways. Those pathways set the state of our nervous system, whether it's in the parasympathetic state, the sympathetic state, and what balance between those two things are. Then our nervous system determines how are all the resources in our body going to be allocated? Are they going to be allocated to making our palms sweat because we're nervous. It's going to be to increasing our heart rate to shifting into some level of needing to protect ourselves or are those resources going to be diverted to places where there is a lot of useful capacity like our prefrontal cortex to think clearly to regulate our emotions, to our cardiovascular system to regenerate, to restore, to rest. There's all these different things that are happening before we even start thinking, feeling, or doing anything and it's running automatically in the background all the time. The training target now is in our subconscious foundation and it is much more akin to training our body, like a fitness or an exercise.
routine based on training rather than through learning by acquiring information. And so what we do is we intentionally work to build new dominant neural pathways in our brain through the same way that the existing pathways were created through repetition and lived experience. And the average time that it takes to build a new dominant neural pathway through consistent training is approximately 62 days. So that gives you a sense of the time that it takes in order to develop one. Now through this repetition, this pathway starts to get stronger and then through lived experiences starts to get even stronger to a level where automatically our brain defaults to that mode of how we interpret ourselves or the world or what we're doing. And so we automatically interpret it that way instead of the old way and that automatically sends a signal to our nervous system about how to do it and then the split between the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous system is automatically set. So what happens is that as we upgrade these subconscious programs to more preferred, more empowering programs that we intentionally choose through this training that it changes the automatic baseline state of our nervous system, the balance between the parasympathetic and the sympathetic state. And when that balance changes, it is measurable. Our frequency through proxy measurements, we can measure this through biometrics that have been tracked for decades that come on consumer devices and things like that. And so one key proxy is heart rate variability, which is measuring the variability between our heart beats as a proxy for nervous system power and nervous system balance. And so and a higher heart rate variability is correlated with better emotional regulation, more handling of stress, physical and cognitive stress, better decision making, more creativity, better athletic performance. So there are a lot of already proven things of when our nervous system is in a more powerful state that all of these other capacities are online and are more expressed. Now how that happens is that when our nervous system is in a more powerful or more dominant parasympathetic state, meaning that there are more resources going to our prefrontal cortex, rest and restoration and things like that. Instead of our fight or flight mode in that balance, more resources are going there. More resources go to our prefrontal cortex. And when more resources go to our prefrontal cortex, that provides basically the power for us to think clearly, regulate our emotions, be more creative, have more self trust, and a variety of other human intelligence capacities that get built through this training. So that is the process of how and why it works. And then there's a compounding effect that occurs as we continue to do the training. So as we start to establish new dominant neural pathways, then that's automatically how we're interpreting everything in our life. And then we go through a second cycle of training and we do that same thing again. So now we've established several of their compounding levels of new neural pathways of how we're interpreting everything. And so as that compounding effect happens, the balance of our nervous system continues to shift more into the parasympathetic state. And there are more resources available all the time for our prefrontal cortex and a variety of other restoration, longevity, and health functions. And as that state shifts on a consistent basis, it sends a signal to our amygdala and other fight-or-flight response modes that says we don't need to be as sensitive anymore, we can desensitize. And when those parts of our nervous system desensitize, it sends a signal back to us and says we can increase the level of our capacity. And nervous system capacity is going to be the most important measurable capacity of this next era. The capacity to be able to think clearly, have sound judgment, operate consistently under uncertainty, stress. It's how much demand can we take while still maintaining all of our key functions. And so that's going to be a really important measurement. And so what happens is that we're automatically more in balance of parasympathetic mode and our capacity is growing. So we have more resources and a higher percentage going to our prefrontal cortex, which is creating this compounding effect. And as we continue to do the training, these results continue to compound. Right? So we can measure that in HRV. We can also measure it in cortisol. People have been doing encoded members, including myself, have been doing EEG brain wave scans. You can notice it in the frequency of the brain waves and where those things are. Those are very clear being in just a more calm, present state and how your brain operates automatically. So there's tons of different biometrics that we can use to be able to, as proxies, to biometrically measure the effects of frequency training. And that's a huge part of encoded roadmap moving forward is continuing to dial in the biometric measurements that demonstrate the effectiveness and power of this training overall. Right? So people that do it already recognize, whoa, like this is making a huge difference in all these different areas of my life. And then the second part of it for mass market understanding and people understanding exactly how it works. Now we're going to start developing biometrics around it, which I think will be super powerful for mass scale adoption. So that is a simple explanation of exactly how this is working at a neurological level. So I'm going to summarize here at a very high level about how this works. And so number one is that we can establish new neural pathways in our brain through repetition. And writing is demonstrated to be the most effective at establishing new neural pathways initially. And then that is confirmed through confirming experiences and lived experiences, which over time, somewhere between 60 and 90 days on average, develop a new dominant neural pathway about how we show up automatically. The second part is that these neural pathways automatically interpret everything that's going on in our life and sends the signal that drives our nervous system state, which downstream causes and influences our emotions, our conscious thoughts, our behaviors, and the results that we get in our life. So that's also demonstrated through science. As we establish new neural pathways that are chosen and more intentional and powered to the life we want to live, it changes the state of our nervous system that is also proven by science. As we change the state of our nervous system that could be measured in proxies like cortisol, heart rate variability, EEG, and other biometrics, when our nervous system is shifted, state is shifted consistently, it increases the capacity of our nervous system. And the capacity of our nervous system sets the ceiling for our performance, how we feel, how we show up and what we can accomplish, particularly as we move into the frequency era where these human intelligence capacities are going to be the most economically viable and personally valuable. So quick summary there. This has been a major, major, major breakthrough related to science. I think this is one of the most important discoveries of this year. I think this is so empowering to people. I think it's going to unlock massive amounts of life satisfaction, new levels of human potential, new discoveries, new levels of freedom of relationships. So that's really powerful. And then the last thing that I want to mention because so many people that use the encoded system, even for a couple of weeks, but especially people that use it over a longer period of time, report significantly deeper relationships with the people around them. They're children, they're partner or spouse, they're leadership presidents, they're the relationships they have with their team or their community or their friends. And so the way that this works is that as we do this training and update these neural pathways and shift the state of our nervous system, our nervous system is, is, is, is Uh.
At the most fundamental level our ability to connect with others. And it's called nervous system co-regulation. It happens before we think about what we say. It doesn't matter what hand gestures we're using. That other people around us, particularly children. Can sense the state of our nervous system. And we'll sink and assimilate to that or we'll react to it. And so that's called nervous system co-regulation proven by science. So as we have more power and we have more balance in our nervous system, that other people around it can feel it. They feel they feel safer. They think more clearly they operate more creatively. These are things that are demonstrated. And so as leaders, as business owners, as parents, that developing not only the ability to regulate our nervous system, regulation in many ways is a coping strategy. So we are not, this is not a regulation strategy. Regulation, automatic regulation is an output of frequency training because we have established this level of capacity that we are automatically regulated. We have total sovereignty over our emotions. And we show up that way automatically without trying with no techniques. And so when we show up that way, that is how we get way, way more, how we expand the people around us. It has a massive leveraging effect in leadership, in parenting, in our community, in our content. And so it's a, it's a super powerful proven scientific phenomenon that will only continue to become more and more valuable over time and more and more recognizable by others over time. Other humans have always had the capability to tune into the state of the nervous system of others. It's just a capacity and a skill that has not been forced to be trained yet. And so as people continue to tune into this more and train it more, they will notice this more and they will, they will be more intentional around who they spend time with, who they trust, who they listen to based on these signals. So I think all this stuff, the science is super powerful. It's super exciting. I'm pumped to continue to explore it. I hope there were a couple of nuggets in here that were really helpful for you. If you listen to this episode and something just, just wasn't landing exactly how it was, I would invite you to grab the book, frequency training. A lot of these details are covered in Britain text and very clear format through chapter nine. And if you still have questions, you want to go deeper, I would invite those questions. My DMs are open on Instagram and LinkedIn. So feel free. If you have questions, I would love to hear, hear those and I'll answer them in a future episode for everybody. And so with all that, I hope this was valuable. I hope you enjoyed it and I can't wait to see you for the next one. Thanks everyone.
