The Sad Truth About Alissa And David (An Investigation)
28m 14s
This podcast episode deconstructs the edited narrative of Alissa and David's relationship on "Married at First Sight." Initially cast for conflict due to their shared desire for fame, their storyline shifted when other female cast members targeted Alissa, forcing producers to portray them as a sympathetic, perfect couple. Consequently, significant conflicts were omitted, including a trust-breaking intimate incident, David's derogatory rap lyrics (highlighted by the host earlier), and a vicious, unaired confrontation where David defended Alissa. Off-screen, their relationship faltered; both have since indicated a separation in interviews. Sources claim Alissa initially abandoned the experiment before the final vows, then delivered a harsh rejection, prompting David to storm out. The summary suggests the upcoming episodes will hastily introduce drama to justify this abrupt, unseen breakdown.

Hello and welcome to another special episode of the Malfs Fanny Podcast with another investigation where I have left no stone unturned. And this episode, my friends, is one that I've been putting off for a while now because I just couldn't bring myself to burst this specific bubble for you all. Over the last seven weeks now, as the Mean Girl drama has continually intensified against a Lissar. Not only have we watched her now speak up and refuse to let it slide. I'm telling you, I was in tears. It was bio and vicious. But we've also watched how it's only brought a Lissar and David closer together. I've tried to be silent, but this is my opportunity to stick up for my wife. But the problem with that though, and the version of their relationship we've been watching, it just isn't real. And hey, this isn't just my opinion, but it seems like both a Lissar and David, they're sick of pretending too. And they've been spilling little things here and there for weeks now, but it's only now, in this podcast that you're about to listen to that, this is the first time that all the little scraps of information, and pieces of the puzzle have been put together. And once you're aware of everything and the wider context, I think it's going to leave you questioning why the hell wouldn't they air any of this on TV. Now as usual guys, let's start at the very beginning. July last year, a Lissar and David's wedding day. And if you cast your minds back seven weeks now as we watch the episode on TV at the start of this season, we were actually all kind of outraged. Wow, do I have to do it right now? Yeah, you have to get on one knee. We'll see. No, I'm not going to marry you until you get on the down one knee and ask me to marry you. We all get on the down one knee and ask me to marry you. I'm not marrying you until you get down one knee and propose to me. That night, and that awkward scene with a Lissar's demand for David to get down on one knee, it left Australia screaming at that TV's. Oh, no, I can't. This is bad. Not until you get on one knee and propose. Wow, no fucks the point of the. And it planted this seed that this season, a Lissar was going to be the one bringing the drama. No, she's a red flag. Fuck the. You made it, it was the other way around. I want you to get on your knees. Right, the show's just fine. As far as I'm told, a Lissar and David, they were initially cast on this show to clash exactly like they did there, minutes into first meeting because the producers knew that when they matched these two, that not only did they share at the same sense of stubbornness, but they also shared another trait, a desire to be famous. And I'm not saying that as a negative, by the way, I'm just stating it as a fact. It's been heavily mentioned how a Lissar went onto this show with 300,000 TikTok followers already, a load of existing brand deals, and like, she'd already had that taste of the spotlight. You know, her social media career, it was even mentioned in her backstory. Who's your daddy? I'm my daddy. Who's a slaquing? I'm a slaquing. I'm a Lissar, I'm from Adelaide, and I'm a nurse and social media manager. Are you gonna have a productive day? Yeah, I'm gonna have a productive day. Cheers. Yeah, I would love me. Or you don't. I need a daddy. Hopefully you find me a daddy. I'm confident enough to know that I'm not going to be liked by everyone, but I will always be authentic. But something that hasn't really been explored is David's previous attempts at Stardom. Yes, they did briefly mention in his backstory that he raps, which I will get to later on, but it failed to mention things like, his Instagram feed as an aspiring gym creator with like gym brand promotions. It also failed to mention his former clothing line that he once launched featuring pictures of Donald Trump's face on, which seems to have been wiped from the internet now, but some of you may remember me covering on this podcast in July with Pedro, who sometimes helps me edit on here. Take a listen to this. He has a clothing brand. I think he's got two ones a gymwear, activewear clothing brand. The other one is more of like a street brand. And one of the featured shirts on his Instagram is the famous photo of Trump when he got shot. Remember that with the American flag in the back. He's got his fist in the air. That's printed on a t-shirt. And he's selling that. I don't know if he's got the right stuff. Yeah. Also, he's a pro Trump, which is a bit of a right thing. Potentially, but that's his big seller there. So his big seller's a copyright issue. Yep, so he also builds websites this guy. And the show also hasn't mentioned David's previous attempt that becoming a TV host, even fronting a YouTube style dating show. I'm your host, Cabelli. And beside me, we have a lineup of lovely ladies. Now ladies, I'm going to have a single guy walk out. And if you like what you see and what you hear, don't pop that balloon. However, if you don't like what you see and what you hear, go ahead and pop that balloon. So you know how I said just a few minutes ago, how these two people were matched to clash. This is what I mean because I'm told that producers had mapped out this dream storyline where they assume like they'd always be arguing for airtime because they naturally assume that both of them would want to come out on top and get the most fame and followers. As when you look at David and Elisabeth on paper and what they've done it open to getting a murder first site, it's an easier assumption to make that, hey, fame would be their primary motive for applying alongside the potential of love, of course. And again, producers would have been rubbing their hands with Glee when they filmed their wedding last year. And that down on one knee moment happened and they had to start to what they thought would be a season long story arc where they expected to constantly see two egos always clashing and seeing who would back down first. But then as tends to happen with this show, something changed. And the mean goes squad-formed or boss babes as they like to call each other and Elissa, she became their number one target. This is not worth my breath on my energy because it's not. It's not a boss at all. Now, here's the thing. Shows like Married Up First site. They are very two-dimensional. They don't want complex storylines, complex characters, and multi-faceted people. The producers make this show with the mindset of, "If one person is bad, then the other person must be good." I'm going to fake the likes of fame. You're going to fake your likes and cheap. Clap, clap, clap. And I hold your parents up. I'm really proud watching this. I really hope they're proud watching this. I'm done with your bullying. This is not. This is not. I'm shutting it down. In the eyes of the viewer, if one person is bad, then we must make the other person good. So when it quickly became clear how bad, "Geeer, back, brook, Julia, all of these women were," they couldn't then include any scene or storyline that had made viewers then see Alyssa and David as anything but the perfect couple. You know, the ones there for the right reasons, just wanting, everlasting love while unexpectedly, the victims of these big bad bullies and having to endure so much stuff that ultimately only then brings them closer together. And you see the point I'm making here, like any slight issue, minify or clash that Alyssa and David then face after that, down on one knee finger, the wedding. You know, anything that could make viewers then think one of them, "Hey, might not be there solely for love or would make us start to take sides." They just couldn't include that because it would distract from the sympathy we had to feel for them as a couple. Because the more infuriated Gia and the Mingos made us, the more the producers wanted us to root for Alyssa and David like a collective as a couple as the dream match. And please don't think here that I'm implying that Alyssa and David are bad people and there's a big cover-up. I'm not. I'm just kind of stating that their portrayal so far as a couple it hasn't been entirely accurate, which is something that Alyssa agrees with. [BELL RINGS] During a recent quick fire game on Radio, Alyssa first hinted at this when she was asked who does she think is getting a good edit this season? When in reality, they maybe weren't actually that good of a person. Who is getting a bad edit and actually isn't that bad? Steve. Steve. Who is getting a good edit? David. Is there anyone you wouldn't talk to if you bumped into them? In that same game as the Radio host and Alyssa who was the hottest cast member, instead of saying David to at least pretend they're still together and the perfect couple, listen to this. I've still got one more question to this one. Who is the hottest person on maps? Who's the hottest person on maps? Oh, who's the hottest person? I think Stella's the most beautiful girl. She's just gorgeous. Like naturally pretty. I think she's definitely the most gorgeous. Who's your favourite couple? It's all still on the screen.
Now what's frustrating there is during that game and that radio interview, Alissa gave the host so many things to respond to and dig a bit deeper on about David but they literally asked not a single follow up about him. But thankfully Alissa has since elaborated more in a recent interview with Daily Mail and she said this. There are things missing. There are storylines missed. We were dealing with other things in our relationship, things that just haven't made it to air. So if you're now wondering what did we miss and what actually went down between them that Channel 9 just won't show us, their relationship, it started to crack just two weeks into the experiment. Now according to multiple outlets out there, something happened between Alissa and David during intimacy week which changed everything. Those days they reported that there was a shift that week and trust became an issue and from that point on it was hard to recover. And Daily Mail reported that the incident, their told, involved an awkward mishub during intimacy. And according to a well played source, the incident was raised on the couch in front of the expert during a commitment ceremony but never made it to air. And while the details of what occurred remained private, insiders say a mishub during their previously active sex life led to a nose dive in their intimacy and overall relationship. And from that point on, everything changed and what was once effortless became strained. Now since reading that, I've been thinking this week, okay, yeah, something went down that set them back that week, intimacy week, but what else was happening for them at that point of filming last year, the second week of August. And then I remembered something which as often happens, kind of involves me. So when they were filming intimacy week last year, I actually released a podcast episode on here deep diving into David's rap career, which he does under the alias Kevelle. And in the podcast that I put out that I know all of the cast were listening to us. So I was told at the time they were sharing it amongst them. I was specifically looking at his lyrics, which I'm going to be honest, a quite questionable. Now, as far as I'm told from my sources, David's side career as a rapper, that was going to be something explored on the show, which is why it was so prominent in his backstory. But again, as the mean goes plotted against the Lisa and the producers now had to have no drama within a Lisa and David's relationship, they decided just not to do that storyline at all. But I already know that on my podcast, they cast it all, listen to it and listen to this snippet from one of his songs. If she wanna fuck, I'll let the whole gang hit. In David's songs, there are often quite graphic and derogatory comments about women in relation to sex, such as that line there about sharing his partner with his friends. Or this one here. If I ever catch you out, your bitch ass getting slapped, got shorty in my DM trying to fuck me on her rag. And after I revealed all of that in my podcast back in August last year, the same week the couples were filming intimacy week and having these discussions about sex and their sex lives prior to the show. I saw a listen and David heading out of the cast's apartment building and I asked them about his lyrics and listen to this. Now I have gone through some of your lyrics, Kavilli. I do like it, but you do talk about sharing your wife and group sex. Is that gonna happen on intimacy week? Because Alessandra is not gonna know what to do with that. As expected, there was no reply because they can't really talk to me. But in that video, Alissa does not look happy when I bring up the lyrics and she just looks at David. She doesn't quite roll her eyes, but she looks at him like she mad and I'll post a clip on my socials, Lacey today or tomorrow so you can kind of see what I'm getting at. When I shot that, I kind of forgot about it to be honest and so watching it back now and you can see on her face that what I'm mentioning and bringing up that that is an issue between them. And I don't believe that was like the big issue. The other media are hinting at that kind of cause the divide between them that week. But I would take a guess that it didn't help matters because I mean, those lyrics aren't great. I saw how Alissa looked at him when I brought them up and me putting them out there at that point and my posts go viral as they often do and Alissa knowing her friends and family back home would be seeing my posts listening to the podcast and like judging him while knowing she's now in Sydney with this guy like, yeah, it's just not ideal really. But another big thing to know here though is intimacy week also marked another huge moment of David and Alissa because it was when the infamous second inner party happened which was just brutal. I'm very grateful, I'm very grateful. You're in a fake relationship. I'm proud, proud, proud. And I heard your parents are really proud watching this. I really heard their proud watching this. And during that second inner party, as I've already discussed on here, as well as all the scenes we watched of the ghost just being horrific to Alissa and Stella, a huge scene was cut where Chris went hard slutshaming Alissa across the table to the point that David had to get involved. But you've claimed that Chris piled on you that night as well and none of that was shown. So what happened? Um, that is never going to make airtime ever. He was saying at the table was so vicious to a point where nothing that he said can ever be repeated in real life or on the 730 TV. So, this was directed at you, Alissa and Stella. Mainly me, yes, yeah, yeah. What's his problem with you? Is it because Brooke was piling on you? I think it was just a big gang up fest. I went to Hyena's low bottom feeders coming for me and my relationship and trying to sabotage anything. I guess I just not happy with them. It was really, it was really sad to see and it was awful just being in front line of it all. So there's claims that David actually almost got physical with him after hearing some of these. Is this why this didn't go to air because it was so escalated? It was very escalated. Things did get very hot between the boys. But obviously, nothing did happen. But yeah, it was very, it was awful. And despite whatever happened to them days earlier that week during Insamese week, the way David stood up and defended Alissa like that, it did briefly unite them and put that difference to the side for a little bit. But I will say it's nice having a husband that will stand up for you. And he was caught up with me because obviously I was in the firing line. So he wanted to be deaf for me and support me and be a voice with me because you would have seen the look of my face. I was just pissed off. And now, given how much that incident was a clear turning point for them at that point of the experiment, you could imagine my surprise recently as I opened my inbox to see I'd been sent a picture of David out partying on the Gold Coast as a VIP at some influencer styles swimwear event thing with Chris. Now at that point, this was about two weeks ago. Now, I already had my suspicions that Alissa and David were no more by that point, but seeing that picture and how David had now befriended the man who went so hard against Alissa that he almost punched on. I instantly knew that, okay, shit, really must have gone down between him and Alissa, which is something that it actually appears David and Alissa now wants us all to know to be honest. Although David hasn't done much press this season, he did one recent radio interview and when asked about the experiences of a whole, he hardly sounds like a man in love. Like take a listen to this. Are you still happy you went on the show? Do you find it interesting if people regret the process or not or they're happy that they experienced it? Do you know what? I think in hindsight, hindsight is a beautiful thing. I'm kind of a happy I experienced it. I mean, it's something like, you know, not many people get to do in their lifetime. So the fact that I went through a process and I survived, I think I still have all my brain cells intact, a bit of a former. And as he was saying that on one radio show, Alissa was on another also making no secret of the fact that these two are a thousand percent just no longer together. You are in love with David. Oh, guys, I can't spill the tea. So is that a no comment? No comment, yes. No comment, yes. I don't want to ruin the story. So now again, if you think about what the hell did go down and where we get to see it, I've got a little scoop for you on that. I'm going to state next is what I'm told by somebody who seems to have pretty intricate knowledge.
of the situation and Alyssa and David, but please know I haven't been able to verify everything. So keep that in mind, but it all kind of seems and feels quite believable. So I'm told that ahead of the final Valsarimony, which I think will air in two weeks now, Alyssa basically just upped and left, packed her bags, flew back to Adelaide and said, nah, I'm done, I'm not coming back for the final Valsarimony. But of course she did change her mind after the producer's beg to and back to Sydney she went. And then during their final Valsarimony, Alyssa went first, he read out her vals which were apparently quite brutal. And in them she said how her and David, they have no future outside of the experiment. And this apparently left David so furious and kind of blindsided that he just threw his vals down on the ground, refused to read them, unstormed offset and that was it. Done the end. And how will this be edited on TV? I've actually got no idea because at this point in time, it would make zero sense as we've been shown zero issues really in their relationship, which means over the next and final two weeks as the Mingle drama is now fizzling out and producers no longer need us to have sympathy for Alyssa and David as a couple. And back them as a couple, I'm gonna assume that we'll likely see a storyline where an issue pops up between them and it quickly goes from zero to 100. So then by the time we do reach final Valsar, that ending if it's as described above, like as I've been told, it will make sense. And if you're also thinking, well, what's happened since filming wrapped since final Valsar were apparently Alyssa destroyed David and he stomped off? Well, despite David, Biff and Inchress and her making known that she's no longer a fan of David in her various radio interviews, Alyssa has apparently found a new famous boyfriend. Sorry, I don't wanna go to clip it there. When I said Alyssa's now got a new famous boyfriend, I said famous like in "Adverted commas" but you can't see 'cause this is a podcast. But basically, the source who told me a lot of the things I've mentioned in this podcast, they also told me how shortly after leaving married at first sight last year, Alyssa started dating a man named Nathan Riles who's been on Ninja Warrior quite a few times and has like a little following on social media. Nathan Riles, before we jumped on stage, not so much nervous. The nervous was yesterday, there was a lot of calm. Calm just wanted to be so prepared. Now, I was told this a few weeks ago now but I couldn't really stand it up or prove it over then seeing that in November, as my stop filming Alyssa started liking this guy's post on Instagram and noticeably his shirtless ones. But when I reached out to someone who knows Alyssa, they didn't really deny that she's now with him. They just kind of deflected and said, "Isn't Nathan engaged?" Which I look down his Instagram, I couldn't really see any recent clear evidence that he is engaged to be honest. But yesterday, women's day seemed more confident that Alyssa's with this Nathan guy and they did a story where a sauce told them, Alyssa's besotted with Nathan. She's even calling him her soul mate. It's the worst kept secret in Adelaide. Now to me, this is a good thing, right? Like it seems, something went down between David and Alyssa on the show and that she potentially got hurt given how she's now mentioning him on radio. So if she has now found someone else and he's happy, like, that's a good thing, surely? Well, rather than just reporting the apparent new relationship as a straight story, women's day, they went a little sassy if I'm gonna be honest and they then span their Nathan scoop into something to present Alyssa in like a negative way with their sauce apparently adding. Her relationship with Nathan, it's raised highbrows. People have been asking whether this was the real end goal all along, a higher profile and bigger opportunities. What that means, I'm sure other than it implies that Alyssa has sought out this ninja warrior as a way to get more famous despite Alyssa currently being on the biggest most watch show in this country and this ninja warrior guy not being on TV for several years. So I don't really know how her and her dating him could be a calculated move for exposure and a higher profile and bigger opportunities, which makes me now think is woman's day sauce for that story, David. Or is it Gia because let's throw back to the start of filming once again and let's remember what I've said multiple times now. How Gia was feeding me fake stories from the start about Alyssa hoping that I would like speak about her and report on her in a negative and start what she wanted to be a smear campaign against her, which I obviously didn't do. So as Gia now moved on to another journalist, that another publication who is going along with this or is David trying to now like take her down by getting ahead of what could be an end of season bad edit for him that he knows is coming. Or is woman's day getting the info from someone else who also happens to have an agenda against Alyssa and if so, can this woman ever catch a break and just be left alone. So many unanswered questions that I do hope to answer very soon once I find the answers. But my last point now also before I wrap this up is I said early in this podcast that there hasn't really been any issues between Alyssa and David so far, but that wasn't really true because a couple of weeks ago now we watched this little issue pop up which to be honest, they very quickly moved past. He takes so many boxes in my life. He's the calm, he's my home. But there's some things that he can't give me. I function at a high frequency and sometimes I feel like I'm missing that stimulation at high frequency that I would normally get from my relationships to make me happy. And if you know thinking and hoping, well, if Alyssa is with this Nathan Guy, is he on the same frequency as her, you know, so they will go the distance and stay together. And you know what? I reckon so because just as Alyssa did that hold get down on one knee thing during her first few minutes of this season and first few minutes on TV, take a listen to this bit of audio I found of Nathan on Ninja Warrior six years ago. And this is how he was introduced to viewers of that show speaking about his now ex partner and what he planned on doing to her live on TV on that show. - Two loves in my life. Oh, I'd say Ninja and Tori. Tori and then Ninja is close seconds. I love you Tori. If all goes well tonight in my heaths, if I make up the wall, I plan on proposing to Tori. - And did Nathan make it up the wall, whatever that means 'cause I've never watched Ninja Warrior and did he then propose live on Ninja Warrior? - Nah, he didn't, he kind of fell. So that TV proposal didn't quite happen, but hey, maybe there could be one with Alyssa one day since they both seen Keen on people getting down on one knee on the tally. That's all I got for you today. If you happen to have any information about any of the stuff I've spoken about, please DM me because it's kind of, as I said, a puzzle I'm putting the pieces together, but I'm still not entirely sure what went down and how it's gonna go down on TV. But as always, thanks for listening. See ya.
