Speaker 2Amen. Let's go a little into historical Christianity. When we are done, we'll go into. In historical Christianity, we find that after the first century church, in less than two centuries, the church was scattered abroad. And so when you even read the letters. Of Peter and the letters of John and the letters of James, especially, it was to the believers that were scattered abroad. James, a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, to the 12 tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. In the scattering, many things happened. And the church. Lost. Its traditions. And form. The paradoxes of the church. The ordinances of the church. So Paul speaks of the form of doctrine. That we should keep it. As. As was delivered unto us. I said that. When we want to look at the architecture of the church, it is not. I'm going to repeat myself. It is not protestant. It is not evangelical. It is not charismatic. People of God. It is not Pentecostal. It is not prophetic, neoprophetic. It is Pauline. Now, I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things. Remember me. Whenever you are looking at the church in every age, remember Paul. If you lose Paul, what you are doing, you have missed the edification wall. Can I say it any further? Paul, Paul, Paul. Paul. Remember Paul. Does that mean we should forget about Christ? You are still not getting it. Christ is the owner. But who has the blueprint? Paul. Who gave it to him? Christ. So what's your problem? Remember who? Paul. And keep the. Ordinances. As I deliver them to you. Remember me. Keep the ordinances. Remember me. And keep the ordinances. If you want to be a good pastor. In the whole of your Bible. There are two Pauline epistles which are pastoral epistles. Nobody wrote a letter. To any pastor, except Paul, one Timothy, two Timothy titles, the pastoral epistles. If you don't read Paul, you will never be a good pastor. You must read Paul. You must remember Paul to be able to pastor a church. Anybody who is not emphasizing the Pauline epistles, and I know this statement I'm making is going to create a lot of functions. And enemies and all kinds of people. But that's what I have seen in the scriptures, Pauline revelation, Paul, Paul, Paul, the wise master builder, the wise master builder, people, if you speak against him, he got it by the grace of God. He didn't, he didn't claim it. This honor taken no man unto himself. And if you can't take it, you are behaving like the days of Aaron and his sons. When the elders stood up against him. You're taking too much on yourself, that Moses had to step in and say, all of you bring your own. People are doing the same thing today. They want to speak against Paul. They can't understand Pauline revelation because they don't understand the structure of the church. Paul is the wise master builder, the 12 apostles and the rock, they are actually the foundational stones. They rock the foundational stone. And then the 12 foundations upon which the water flows. They are actually the foundational stones. Upon which the wall is being built. Tell somebody, remember Paul, remember Paul, keep the traditions, keep the ordinances. Can you read the ordinances for me in the Greek one Corinthians 11, the verse two, the word is paradosis. Giving up. Giving over the act of giving up the transmission, the paradosis, the traditions, the ordinances. I need you to get this one before we carry on because the Protestants are about to say something very important and it is going to create a big heresy between Protestants and colleagues. Keep the tradition. Keep the tradition. Keep the tradition. Keep the tradition. What is the paradosis? The ordinances, the traditions of the church. The transmission. What was transmitted to us? Keep it. Read it from two to six for me. One Corinthians 11, from the verse two to the verse six. Keep the tradition. The paradosis. The transmission. The paradosis. The paradosis. The paradosis. in luther along with his compatriots of his age stood up in defiance against the karmic faith was there a problem with that yes and no was there a problem with the protestant reformation yes was it a good thing yes were there bad sides to it yes that's not the reason i'm here but keep that in your mind there were good signs to the reformation and bad sides to the reformation now in the protestant reformation they came up with what is known as the five solace the word solar means only or alone only or alone solar only or alone what was about these five solace in protestant reformation number one solar scriptura they kept it in latinization let's take them one after the other let's take them one after the other let's take them one after the other i've arranged them you can arrange them i've arranged them you can arrange them i've arranged them you can arrange them whichever way solar scriptura the word scriptura means solar scriptura the word scriptura means solar scriptura the word scriptura means scripture scripture scripture gracia means grace gracia means grace gracia means grace christus means christ christus means christ christus means christ fide means faith fide means faith fide means faith and endure gloria and endure gloria means the glory of god means the glory of god means the glory of god the glory of god the glory of god the glory of god beautiful now watch here don't forget that now watch here don't forget that now watch here don't forget that this whole solar theory this whole solar theory this whole solar theory was not pauline was not pauline was not pauline it's not paul who gave it to us it's not paul who gave it to us it's not paul who gave it to us but then it must agree with paul but then it must agree with paul but then it must agree with paul why because paul is the one why because paul is the one wise master builder. So anybody who is coming to build on what ever Paul did, it must align with Paul. Paul is not the one that says sola scriptura, but did Paul hold scripture? Did Paul hold Greece? Did Paul hold Christ? Did Paul hold faith? Did Paul hold the glory of God? If Paul held all of these things, we are safe. But now hear this. Sola scriptura, only scripture. Only grace. Sola gratia. Sola Christus, only Christ. Sola fide, only faith. Sola gloria, everything to the glory of God. Only to God's glory. Very nice. Please, if anybody is mentioning these things, don't be intimidated. They are nothing. They are just theological framework and constructs. What does it mean? The first problem I have today, today, today, before I touch on them, is that the focus of the five solas have been badly misapplied, badly misappropriated. It's application even in constructs sometimes makes you know that the person who is saying it does not even understand it maybe am i saying so if i go around and i ask a couple of you what was the purpose of the five solace you hear all manner of things please in the original framework of the five solace of protestant reformation the five solace was not in application to church life that's the first thing you have to understand the reformers were not looking at church life they were looking at the five solace in reference to salvation and this was westernized theology westernized theology this came from the west westernized theology the five solace is westernized theology a framework that came from westernized theology theologians of the west are the ones who propounded the five solace slowly don't want to lose anybody taking it one step at a time what does it mean sola scriptura how many of you sing songs like christ alone christ alone christ alone how many of you have heard songs like that before beautiful yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes many songs have been propounded around it now in the five solace sola scriptura that the bible alone is the ultimate authority by which men are saved and not tradition bible without tradition please they didn't say bible alone when you do understanding you think they are saying bible alone that is not what was being said when it comes to salvation it is bible alone minus tradition they are not saying bible alone now let us go to sola feeding faith alone minus tradition works please don't say faith alone when you say that you you use it to think that you can say faith alone and get away with it so bible alone how can you say bible alone it cannot be bible alone now that you are saying it is also faith alone get the context The Catholic church believed that it was Bible plus tradition. Then the Protestants said, take away tradition so that the Bible alone will stand whenever we are thinking of Bible and tradition. It can't be Bible and tradition. It is Bible alone. It is not Bible alone in isolation to everything. So if we are talking about something else, you cannot come and say Bible alone. Unless we are saying Bible and tradition, then you can say, take out tradition, Bible only. Number two, when you say faith alone, you are actually making reference to works. That it is not faith and works. It is faith alone from works. It is not faith alone. It is faith alone in isolation. So you just can't come and say Christ alone. When you say Christ alone, what did that mean in the reformative theology? Christ without sacraments. Christ alone Without any sacrament That's what Fulfills Mediation The intercessory work That brings about salvation It is Christ alone The means of justification Is faith alone The authority of salvation Is Bible alone I don't know if you are getting this Authority of salvation Bible alone Justification So we have to know the topic You are dealing with Before you open your mouth and say Bible alone The Bible is enough Christ is enough Who told you Christ is enough? If we stick to Your form Of theology Then let's stick to that line And let's talk in that context So today In this present time I am standing to present Reformated protestant Theology Under that I will say I can't come and open my mouth and say Faith alone Now watch here Pastor come Please go on your knees He is sick I want to pray for him I can't say faith alone Because sickness is not part of the list We are dealing with salvation And faith alone only comes in justification So if I say faith alone It's not faith and anointing oil It means that you don't know what you are saying If you say that You are confusing yourself You are not confusing your hearers You are not confusing your hearers It is yourself you are confusing It also means that you have not been studious To understand the subject matter You don't understand what you are saying You can't say Listen It is faith alone It is not faith and anointing oil Listen You cannot say Christ alone Then you say It is not Christ And spiritual direction It doesn't make sense It doesn't make sense Because the subject matter of Christ alone Is about mediation The Christ work is enough When it comes to mediation You don't be about to say Christ alone Christ alone for what? For your information We are speaking under the broad subject matter of what? Soteria Salvation We are not dealing with the church life We are dealing with Unbeliever getting saved The definition that defines that framework Sola Scriptura The authority by which we will declare you saved Is because of the Bible The means by which we will get you saved Is by faith Not of works The means by which we will get you saved So that you can be justified The means by which you are receiving this mediation Is Christ alone Not Christ with another thing Then now We come to the big matter Of John Calvin Grace alone Because They now say It is grace Free gift By grace are you saved It is the gift of God Under that What are we looking at? Endowment The gift of God that is endowed Is not earned It is a gift So it is only by grace Not by reward We are not rewarded to be saved We are graced to be saved What do you say? What do you say? Prayer has not even come in Angels have not come in Holy Spirit is not part of the structure If somebody opens his mouth and says In all the solace Of all historical Christianity Holy Spirit is not part When he opens his mouth and says In all the solace of all historical Christianity When it comes to protestant reformation Holy Spirit is not mentioned Holy Spirit is not a subject Christ alone Mediator Grace alone Free gift Endowment Faith alone Justification Scripture alone Authority Of declaration Not tradition You cannot sit down and say You are saved Because I said you are saved It's a scripture that will say you are saved That's what they are saying And there were reasons why the protestants were saying that Because Catholics also have a different matter And I'm going to explain the Catholics to you soon They want you You see the way when I was explaining the protestant You were shaking your head like this When I explained the Catholics to you You shake your head the same way So now the last aspect says So not your Gloria Everything is to the glory of God That's how come when you go to those It's not about us It's about the glory of God It's not about us Oh you see where it's coming from All to the glory of God There you know This is protestant This is protestantism This person is coming from protestant reformation theology That's how come they talk like that Question is Are we to agree with protestants Or disagree with them? Are we to agree with Catholics Or to disagree with them? Are we to agree with Eastern Orthodoxy Or we should disagree with them? People we must not agree with anybody We must agree with Paul Paul Paul Once When the protestants are saying Agrees with Paul That's it When the Catholics are saying Agrees with Paul That's it When the Eastern Orthodox are saying Agrees with Paul That's it Paul is the accurate architect of the church. Jesus is the owner, the client of the church. Say, take your seat. All right. What are the five scriptures? Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Sola Christus, Sola Deo Gloria. The framework of salvation. Okay. Now please watch here. Do you understand the reason why when you go to protestant churches, they like to do altar calls, they look at evangelism because mostly the church is built around that framework. Mostly. Oh, when you were you never an evangelical. That's how come they are called evangelicals. Salvation. Salvation. Salvation. Salvation. Salvation. But watch what the Calix said. We were shooting ourselves in their own foot. Most of the times, the things that have been said by protestants concerning Calix, it is enough to defend them or the one saying it doesn't know the Calix. And it is just pass on tradition. Why do I say so? What are the Catholics saying? The Calix said, please listen. It cannot be sacred scripture alone. But that sacred scripture with the sacred tradition made up by the magisterium. Who are the magisterium? The church fathers. Now, do you know why they are saying that? Get this. And that agrees with Paul. Why do I say so? Paul says, not only with the matter of the church. Paul says, not only with the matter of salvation because the Catholics are not only talking about salvation they are talking about salvation and the church life and the Protestants by which reason they were seeing penance and all the in quote excesses to them they now felt that no the Pope has no right to tell us what the word of God is we must not keep to the traditions of the churches we must not keep to anything called tradition that is how come they have brought the extra canonicals because those were for character building we don't need anything all we need is the 66 books the college said we as a church have been given the power to bind on earth that whatever we bind on it shall be bound in heaven whatever we lose on it shall be loosed in heaven now watch here whereas the protestants saw church as the gathering together of the people coming together called out from the world the colleagues saw the church as a legislative body they were not just seeing people that have been called together to have one faith to have one baptism to have one lord but then the colleagues were seeing that you yes beyond our coming together there is the authority of heaven that has been given to us that whatever we say on earth if it is not in scripture listen to the colleagues if it is not in scripture scripture has given us the opportunity so whatever is not verbatim written in scripture there is the authority of scripture that has been given to us to institute is that scriptural yes was it in scripture no but is there practice scriptural yes why whatever we bind on it shall be bound in heaven whatever we lose on it shall be loosed in heaven so listen to what paul says he said if any of you they have any problem with ananada you go out to the world but is there not one of you to judge this list is there one of you they said don't you know that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven he said if anybody has an issue let him go take a friend let them fix it if they can't he should take you to the church and that is even jesus as well saying that so there is authority that has been given to the church in church life everybody say church life i can't hear you say church life so now watch it in salvation okay five so less but in the church life in the church life in the church life in the church life we can't limit ourselves to that alone okay if that is that then what is the use of a pastor you have to give me answer my dear reformer in the church life because it's by my scripture the scripture that i read is not saying so you have no authority to interpret anything to me i have the scripture what i said i've read it's not what the bible is telling me why are you the right person to interpret anything to me i have the scripture what i said i've read it's not what the bible is telling me why are you the right person to interpret anything to me i have an anointing of the holy ghost i don't need anybody to teach me you will hear the scriptures i will come were they right yes salvation church life were they wrong they didn't even touch it to be wrong they were saving the salvific form of theology so are we criticizing protestants no they are not they are not criticizing protestants they are criticizing the salvation which people are recreating the present day acclaimed theologians that don't understand protestant reformation i want to use it to slap everybody today they are the ones i'm talking about if you don't understand protestant reformation don't use that theological framework to slap everybody just because you know terminologies and can say anything that the general populace are like what's solar gracia what's gracia is it solar eclipse or lunar eclipse or solar panel you see it i'm not criticizing the protestants my problem today is a present theologian who just opened his mouth and then the moment they see something so now christ is not enough are we dealing with salvation we are dealing with the church life and so the traditions of the church was said that the pastor of the church had authority and had to be seen as a representative of god now watch anybody that wants to misapply we say i am nothing it is christ you can't deal with a pastor it is not about the pastor it's about christ alone misappropriation we are not talking about salvation we are dealing with the church life you can't bring that subject into church life that matter has got nothing to do with church life christ alone is not church life get it get it christ alone if it is salvation now hear this
