The transcript blends a promotional segment on Sonos speakers, highlighting their seamless, uninterrupted audio experience that enhances home entertainment—starting with just two speakers. It transitions into a discussion about travel safety with Birdie Box, a portable door alarm that offers peace of mind during stays in unfamiliar spaces. A central theme involves consumer frustration with Apple's service and pricing, reflecting broader dissatisfaction with tech support and transparency. The conversation shifts to NFL football, where Jalen Warren is praised as a high-impact running back, with strong arguments for a top-tier contract given his performance and role in the offense. There is debate over player rotation strategies, particularly involving Rico Dowdell, emphasizing the importance of maximizing offensive production. The segment also critiques modern hockey for lacking physicality and intensity, contrasting it with past eras of high-energy, passionate play. Additional topics include fantasy football, player contracts, and the emotional investment fans have in team outcomes, illustrating how personal stakes shape loyalty. Throughout, the tone balances personal anecdotes with analytical insight, creating a multifaceted narrative that spans technology, sports, and consumer experience.

Come on Limits, let's get into the game here. For one two, for one two, tuck in for one two. No, it didn't work. For one two. Hold on, let me put my wooden teeth in so you can understand me better. Club is flat today, Bob. All aboard. I'm sensing it going into the game. I can feel it here in the locker room. We're flat boys. Let's get moving here. Another joe assumption that's untrue, Bob. No, I felt it Limits. I felt it out here. We're flat going into the game. We're 30 seconds into the game. I know. The game just started. They just took the ball off. Here we go. First of all, first of all, this computer is going to die on me because the plug thing, the charger pack isn't working. And I'm going to go to the Apple store and they're going to charge me for that. Like they charge me for everything else. And then I'm going to say, oh, just going to say that. I went to Verizon. I went there. I stood in line. No one had an answer for me. Every month is like $12 and then $4.99 every month. Call them. Ask what it is. It's extra storage. Never tried to call Apple. Don't know. So I'm going to go to the Apple store. It's South Hills Village at about, I don't know, six o'clock tonight. Starchy on the rampage. Watch out. And I'm going to say this power packs out. I want it replaced for free, surely among the 76, 1099s I get charged every month on my bill. One of them is warranty, right? And they'll say no. It's not covered under warranty and then I have to buy a whole new power pack and probably a whole new computer. It is frustrating. We're all like shamed and addicted to Apple. And where else do we go, Bob? I don't know. But I'm going to lose power on this computer during the show today with all my notes on it. And that's the sour note I begin on today. You? You look wonderful. You look like Johnny Cash over there. Yeah. Well, I've got something to do later. So no, they're really dismissal for me. A concert? No. We're related. One times you're really dismissal, Bob. Like one. Oh. What? It's okay. I can't help it. Sad. We're going to miss you. It is going to be sad when Bob makes up ground here in three hours. We're going to go with quick huddle. No huddle. Let's go. First and 10. We're going to go with a six pack. We're going to keep up with Ron, who's at least 10 deep in Fort Myers right now. It's 1007 AM and it's our customary Wednesday six pack. And Bob, here's where we begin today. Doug Waley was great this morning, as he always is with the morning guys. And we're going to look at some stealer contracts later. But let's start with the best player on the whole team, who's Jalen Warren. He's going into the final year of his deal next year, which traditionally is the time for the Steelers to sign a guy. Doug said, no brainer, give him top five running back money. Do you agree? Top five. Well, he's performing like a top five guy. I thought he had, does he have a deal this year and next year? So at the end of this year, twenty twenty seven would be his life as a traditional Steelers contract. How old would he be then? Twenty seven. Twenty seven. Yeah. Okay, I would agree with that. For some reason, I thought he was a little older than that. But yeah, I think he deserves it based on what he's done. He right now, if you look at the highest percentage of team scrimmage yards, it's B. John Robinson. It's Kenneth Walker and it's Jalen Warren. And he has by far the fewest touches of those two. So if he accounts for 37% of their offense, Joe, yes, if you're 37% of your offense, then I think you deserve a lot more money. He's making, what is it, like eight million this year? I think you signed a two year, 17 million dollar deal, something like that. Yeah. And I would pay him and I agree with Doug because for one thing, running back contract contracts, even on the high end are not going to bankrupt your franchise. Secondly, as with all positions, you know, you pay him and then a year or two later, which 30 is the magic year for running backs. That's the thing after that. And this dude is five eight. And I don't know if he's going to, you know, especially with the current workload, be going well into his 30s, but right now, right now is the time to capitalize on Jalen Warren for the next two, three, four years and get the best years of his career because he's taken a star turn. He really has. And even though you say 30 is that number, I look at Derek Henry and I see he's unusual. He is unusual. He's also, you have to say so is Jalen Warren. He's come out of nowhere. He wasn't drafted. That chip on his shoulder gets bigger every year. He keeps running the show. Sure. But he ain't six, three, two, 50 does he, does he get off an injured node? Does he fumble? No. He's 37% of their offense. I would say that if, if I believe that he'll continue on that pace, he's hungry. He still is. And to get the person. How many years would you sign him for? Three. Yeah. I don't think that's on the same page there. The question is how much was top five money in the NFL these days for running backs? It's gone up since the, you know, Gibbs deal, Robinson deal. I don't know because my computers burned out limits. Can you look up the top paid running backs, guaranteed money and such. We'd love to see that right now. I will. I think that it would be very wise, of course, depending on how this season goes. And then there's the question of Dowdell and Warren that you've raised before. May we have another crack there, limits if you'd be so kind? And that seems to be a big story right now. If Dowdell is available, how do you divvy this up? Well, to me, it's, it's Warren's job number one. He's first. If they're going to have a one, two fine, you can have a one, two, the two will be there just to give him an opportunity to get, you know, catch a breath or whatever. And I'm not saying Rico Dowdell isn't going to have his games where he really stands out. I, to me, I want to pick Warren to start how much percentage of those touches that he gets. I think last week was a good indication, 21, somehow, some way past receiving and running. If you could do that, it's going to limit. I think what Dowdell gets, but that's where it should be for, for right now. I think that's a perfect number. Bob, did you cut yourself shaving on your chin? Yes. And you know, I'm on cumin in. It does not stop. Wow. I have to keep putting stuff on it. Do you have stiptic pencils? Because they do a good job. You need a cut man over there. You need Angelo Dundee. Or he's never, he's going to charge me a lot because it doesn't stop. Blood thinners are good, but they're bad. Bad. Yeah, when you get a cut, um, yeah, McCarthy told Jim Nance and JJ watt 22 was the magic number. That sounds right to me. From 20 to 22, they didn't have a ton of snaps in the game the other day. So he's nobody's going to get tons and tons of touches and he's still got 21, which is perfect. But the point there being if Dowdell were active for that game, he wasn't going to get a lot of action. Todd Haley was on with the PM guys yesterday, Bob, saying, hey, you know, third series you're getting in like pre-planet sort of before the game with Dowdell. You get the third series and then maybe even a series before the half. Is that too many, two and a half, or would you just have Dowdell be a one series guy? It just depends on how Warren's doing. I mean, if he is going crazy, big numbers, um, you know, he comes in when I feel Warren needs a break, not for an entire series, not for an entire anything. I'm, I like one back systems. I understand the role of a second guy and what he can provide for the first guy, but I think he is distinguished himself as the guy who should be getting more of the opportunities Jalen Warren. How many one back systems are left? Well, when I say one back, I mean, a guy who who gets to lie and share the, for sure, you know, not saying he gets all of them. That's clear. Do you believe McCarthy when he seemed exasperated even at the question the other day when he was like, yeah, of course, he's, I think he said our best player, something to that effect our featured guy. But I'm sorry. The question still has to be asked when you're the one and I don't blame him. I'm not saying this in a cute and an accusatory way, but he's the one who brought in doubtal. He really likes doubtal and doubtals coming off back to back 1000 yard seasons. I don't think he should just rot on the bench either. I'm not saying that, but I'm saying when it comes down to who is in the game, the majority of time, it has to be Jaylin Warren. Of course it does. The question is out of, nobody disagrees with that, not even McCarthy and their, and their touches were roughly even in the first couple games, but your point is a good one. They only had some 50 some, they need more of that. Yeah. And if they do get more of it, it's more opportunities for everybody. Yeah, but if you, here's the other thing with what Haley said, you give doubtal the third series. It doesn't go well. Everybody's going to be bitching and moaning and then if it or then if it does go okay. And then you bring him back before the half, which is always a really key time in the game and it doesn't go well, then everybody's going to be up in arms. How much is too much for doubtal? That's the question. Yeah. I, the question is how successful is he when he gets in there? He hasn't played in a while, maybe a slow start for him. You know, I, I want to see what he can do also, but I don't want to see it at the expense of Jalen Warren's touches were in his 20 seventh in the NFL in average salary. What's the, what's the highest average salary for, what's the top of you put top five running backs? It would be what? Jameer Gibbs is making 22.5 B John Robinson is making 22.25 million John Taylor. This is peanuts, Kenneth Walker only 14.3. Can you believe they can one out and got him of all nine highest paid running back? That's unbelievable that they went out and did that. The chiefs of all teams get Patrick Mahomes finally a star running back. Can you believe that? They've really never had one. They've had well, back in the day, they, they generally have gone with committee back there. They don't have anyone who stands out. Kenneth Walker now occupies a lot of what they do, which takes a lot of pressure out of him. And also allows that passing game to really start going. Man, it sure does. Next. Thank you, limits. Bob, the penguin game last night. What decided the game in your opinion? To me, it was the horrific goal allowed by Mira Shuffle. We can talk about how bad the penguins played and they gave a ball goal on the first shift in the returnovers blah, blah, blah. And you know, it's not an unforgivable sin. He's a young goalie and let in a bad goal. It happens, but that's what cost them the game. A horrible goal they were heading for one point, possibly two was only four minutes and something left. Tera Vine and all he did was throw it in front and somehow some way, you know, Mira Shuffle was sitting back in his net pretty far and he got caught up. I don't know where how it got in. I still don't know how it got in underneath this. It was a miracle. It was a miracle. But, you know, they also played a game in which their power plays stunk again. If this, if this team is going to do anything, their power play has to be good. It was decent last year, top seven, I think it has to be better than that. But, you know, they're also putting guys all over the place and I know that he's looking for some kind of chemistry is Dan Mew's, but, you know, Nick Robertson is their leading goal score. He is on a fourth line, which, you know, if you had a whole bunch of people in front who are doing better, fine, but I don't think that's the case right now. He's playing really well. So there are a lot of things going on right there, but the power play to me is the biggest thing. Over four and not much. Would you take? Who would you take off it? Malkin? Probably. Is he on the first one? Yeah. He's on the first one last night with Kendall, Sid, Carlson, and Raquel. So no rust, no chena cough. See, Raquel's another one. I may put rust on there ahead of him. Chena cough, I'll put it on the second unit. He's been pretty invisible. Yes. You know what they need? They need someone who goes in front of the net and causes some havoc too. If you sell the goal, the second one by Cancer off, he was planted there. You know, Crosby does that every now and then too, where you get there and get your stick planted, have someone hit your stick, he goes in. They don't have enough presence in front of the net, I think. The good news was that Sid got on the board with a couple, we mentioned yesterday, not worried even in the slightest about him, and well, he broke out last night. So I think it's he's going to be another point per game guy again in the season for the millionth year in a row. Everything is good there. However, give me another one, I'll limitless wonder. Thank you. The Frozen Frenzy Bob, 32 teams in, quote, action last night. Yep. Man, a couple of people have written about this and talked about it in recent weeks. The NHL product right now leaves me wanting, I can tell you that much. And slogging through that penguin game last night was a rough one. Maybe I'm just more traditional old school, I don't know. I want to be entertained. There's no hitting in these games. There's no fighting in these games. There's no maniacal net play where you have those kind of Patrick Hornquist, like scrums, Tomas, holmstrom, like scrums going on. There's no fire wagon hockey, which nobody wants to see because you got to play good defensive hockey because the penguins are going to win. They better win three one and they better not have any turnovers and play really good defensively. No, screw that. I want to see fire. The best game, the best series, one of the best I ever saw was the one where they got, they lost to the flyers where both teams combined for eight trillion goals. I want to see some of that, especially in the regular season. I want to see these high scoring shootouts. I want to see big hits. You can't lay a hit anymore, you know. You just can't. The hip check is gone. Nobody's lining people up and drilling them. There's no hatred. It's just, it's boring. That's what it is. I'm just going to say it. It's boring. The product right now, in my opinion, it's tough to slog through a game. Well, you probably are saying that because number one, it's October and not do we get cranking up until the end of the year when things really are on the line. Yeah. That has something to do with it. But I agree that there's not enough physicality in the game. I like physical play and I think because everyone's worried about being suspended about how they hit people, did you're not going to see a lot of those kind of bone crushing hits that you like to see? I thought last night's game was entertaining from the standpoint they moved the puck. There were chances both ways. I like watching that aspect of hockey. I want to see guys fly all over the place. Star players being able to generate opportunities like the dark did a couple of times last night or a cross beer or any of the elite players. But as far as, yeah, if I use the word hatred, is that too hard of a word to use? No. You know, when you have that going on in a game, you want to take care of business. You're going to physically start challenging. It feels like a get north game, it feels like a dump, dump the puck in type of game. I think some of the artistry is gone. I used to be a guy against fighting. Now, my god, I'm praying for a fight. Well, you've got one last night. If you watched the Penguins next opponent of all people, Nathan McKinnon, got in with Rupiah. I did see that. He took a couple of shots to the face, which is why I don't like my star players doing that. But he decided it was time. Now I'm praying for a fight. I'm praying for some event to happen that gets me on the edge of my seat while I'm watching the sporting event. Well, there's a reason they never took fighting out of the game because people like it. And obviously, if you watch your crowds, if you're in person watching a game, you'll see how they react to it. And I do realize it's October and they've added two games for God's sakes to make it 84 games. It's just, I don't know, man, I'm just, it's not even an opinion, really. I guess it is. It's just my feeling as I'm watching hockey games. And last night was the big frozen frenzy wherever where you turn. There was a new game. It's just my feeling about the sport these days compared to how I used to feel like when I was covering it every day with the penguins, even them, it, you know, it felt like huge events with tons of personalities and, and man, it just feels it, it's a rough watch for me. I'm just going to say that. Well, I think you're right. Star players, you know, watching some of the elite guys play and do their thing is entertaining to me. But there isn't a personality, someone you come, I build up. Maybe it's unfair, but all the personalities over the years, you know, from not even the greatest players, just, just personalities like Matthew Barnaby and people like that and Casparitis. And I don't know, man, that the personality, the animosity, a lot of it seems to be drained out of the game. And I know it comes back at times and certainly in the playoffs. It's kind of like the NBA, the playoffs is the time to watch. I get it. That's a whole different ball game. And you're right, though, I liked that series of the Flyers and Penguins many years ago. It was crazy to watch. You didn't know what you were going to get. There were hits. There were fights. There were a lot of goals. And the only thing is, you know, the wrong team won in that one. Yes. Did anybody know it was the Frozen Friendsie yesterday until the day of? I didn't. I didn't know. Nobody knew. I knew it was a horrendous job of promoting itself. That's one of the horrendous job of promoting itself is the actual games that people tune into. That too. But I'm helping that cause you didn't find that game entertaining. I did just, you know, again, because of the back and forth, there were a lot and maybe it was bad. There were some of that. Yeah, there were some of that. But there were some open plays, some opportunities. I thought, um, I like that kind of hockey. Could I have more physicality while watching it? Sure. But I do like back and forth hockey. Yeah. I mean, there was some of that. Yeah. There was a lot of that. I thought it was a lot of that. No, but there was, you know, there was some a lot of it. I guess. I mean, that's, I watch, I like watching all these sports and I watch it strictly from the standpoint of, what are we going to talk about tomorrow? That's kind of how I look at it and you're right. about, you know, what are they doing in terms of, uh, with their lines, with their power play, all these different things, but you're right that that goal by mirror shot. He seems like the kind of guy who's going to be okay with that. Yeah. He understands it. He has a good, a lot on this. Yeah. But that was a bad goal. My goodness. Next. All right, Bob. Limits is rooting for the Dodgers to win. So they can get a salary cap in baseball. I'm rooting hard for the brewers right now. The Dodgers can go down three nothing. And here's the question. Would you play O' tawny? Yes. He's like at, he's in the 100s for a long time right now. He's completely useless at the plate. Doesn't matter. Would you have him in the lineup? Yes. There's not even one bit of doubt in my head. Why would I do that? He's one swing away from changing a game. He can, he can do that, even though he's been in a terrible slump all the way back to August one home run or no home runs and one run battered in. That's it. He's been injured, though. I think that's a big part of this. I am not taking him out. I'm down to. I need everyone available to me. He has to work himself out of it. No way. I agree. We touched on this yesterday. And there's no way I could go home as the manager after a game and say after a loss and say I didn't play O' tawny. If you want to bat him eighth or ninth, go ahead. But he's got to be in your lineup. He has to be in the lineup. But there are a lot of other guys you can blame. It's just he gets a lot of it because he's in a terrible slump. There are other guys on that team have not hit well at all either. Well, for sure. And they make it 300 million plus. He makes 700 million. So a lot of, but they look like a lot different team without the guy they signed to that cheap skirt. The rules, at least the spirit of the rules bogus deferred money contract with all their local TV money. I hate that about the game. And man, they do. They're discovering a loophole. They get utilized. I guess so. No, I just, but you hate that contract. Don't you? Yes, but I understand why they did it. And what they're doing with it. But my point is he he is an elite player. He's in a slump. Sure, but you cannot. It's like going into a hockey series. Sitting Crosby hasn't scored in a month. He's a minus 20. Just because he's been in a horrendous slump, we're going to go into your down two O in a series to the flyers. He's not dressing. Well, to me, that's not quite apples to apples, but it doesn't have to be. It's the same premise. I think you play your best players. That's where it goes. And he's your best player. So I do agree with that. I couldn't look myself in the eye if I didn't. And if it's excited tonight, not to put him in the lineup. And they lose two to one or something. What do you think the reaction would be to that? Well, I feel like there would be maybe a fraction of people that fully understand it. But there'll be a bunch of people saying, how the heck did you not play Otoni? He's the highest paid player ever. He might be the greatest baseball player of all time. How dare you, Dave Roberts? He could have broken out of a slump today against the brewers. Wouldn't those people be right? That would be if he plays and then has another like over three or over four performance. But if they play him, if they don't play him all, I would play him. Yeah. But I mean, I would at least consider playing Dupala, the rookie that they just brought up. Jerry Dupala is a second life. All right. Now they're best prospects. You got a 323 average in the right season when he came up. That's fine. Find another place to put him in there. I don't know where. But not at the expense of Otoni. Meanwhile, back to the frozen frenzy. Rick Tockets team lost a shootout, which means they've opened the season with eight straight losses in Philly. And they've been outscored 31 to 10. He got the dreaded vote of confidence. Bob, is it nearly time to fire Rick Tockets? They're done. It's October 14th and the Carolina Hurricanes have more wins in Philadelphia than the Phillies, the flyers, and the Eagles combined over the last radio and Philadelphia this one three weeks. Oh my god. Yes. Eagles game last week. I mean, I don't see how you can keep him. I guess I give him 10. I give him two more games. And if they're O and 10, you have to change coaches. O and 10. Their season's pretty much done on October 14th. I don't think I've ever seen that expect, you know, maybe an expansion team, or maybe the Black Hawks teams like that in recent years, but not with a team that was expected to do anything being done two weeks before Halloween. I'm not ready to say done because I've seen teams come back from this kind of situation from O and eight. No, but St. Louis, remember, they were in last place. Sure. And they changed coaches in January. Went on a streak or want to Stanley Cup. So I'm not ready to go there yet, but they certainly have concerns. And if he doesn't get it done soon, they're going to do it just because that's how hockey goes. I think you have to. I think the populace there you'd have God knows what would happen in Philly. Was it ugly last night? I didn't even see it's actually better. They played better. I saw a lot of that game. I think of all the games they've played. That was probably their best game, even though. How did you see a lot of that game, Bob? You amazed me with the amount of sports that you watch. You're watching the penguins. You're watching the flyers and this. You're set up down there. The Kraken. Is that who they played? If you see the set up we have, you can dial in a lot of different things. I like sitting there and just watching. And if we're going to do these shows, you know, like this or the sports car, I want to see what I see. So I can tell when they were down to nothing, they weren't chanting fire, talk it or anything like that. There was a lot of firing everybody. They were booing and everything else, but again, I watched the game. They played against the penguins. They were terrible. And I've watched one other. This one was their best that I've seen. So maybe they're making progress. They got another point. Maybe, but the times I've seen it, it looks like they're quitting on them. Next. Hey there. I'm Kendra Adachi. On his own podcast, said speaking, of course, of the ridiculous sending of the commanders game the other day, one of the greatest gaps we've ever seen in sports history. I go that far. It's up there with Will Craig with the great Joe Block call on starting all the colliapies. Was that the worst play in sports history, Bob? Will Craig starting a run down between home and first and then giving up on it and throwing back to first in the right field? I think it was the worst play in sports history. But this is, yes, this is the worst one of the worst clock management gaps ever in football. No, I mentioned Chris Weber because it reminded me of the same kind of thing. Like, I don't care what goes on there. I am not putting that on Dan Quinn. Your quarterback has to know what the hell's going on. If he's on the field, he knows they should know they have no time outs. He should know what's going on. He should have taken ownership of that immediately. I'll tell you what was another one. Do you agree with that? Or do you think it's the head coach? He has it. Well, we're going to get to that. If Aaron Rogers did that, it's the quarterback. It's the quarterback. He had to know it's actually a third year quarterback. I mean, everybody has a role, but it boils down to the quarterback, which is what Michael Parsons was saying on his podcast saying, my guy, Jane Daniels just got a bunch of people fired, including Dan Quinn. And I agree with that. You don't know. But I was more disappointed. He didn't take ownership of it himself in his post. Daniels. I thought he said it's on me. He went on and tell you know, it's a whole thing starts from the top. He goes down. You know, he was skirting around the issue. He should have come out and just absolutely said, I'm an idiot. Blame me. I should know better on the quarterback. I have no idea what I was thinking. Whatever. I wanted to see a definitive takeover that situation. I'll tell you who was intimately involved in a similar situation in one of the worst clock management gaps in playoff history. Do you remember, Bob? Oh, the Buffalo bills. No, John McDermott, no. Mr. Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott in that game against the packers. Oh, the packers. You have this right to refresh your memory. Um, they were on it on the 50, and they're at midfield. And it was a designed quarterback run to get closer to the end zone for a, one more play, right? They were down six, I believe. Prescott ran 17 yards all the way to the 49ers 24 and then slides. And instead of handing the ball directly to the ref, he handed it to his center. And then, and then the, the, the, the ref collided with Prescott and they never got the ball down. So time ran out. They, they had, they had plenty of time. Well, not plenty, but they had 14 seconds before the play, a design quarterback run McCarthy defended the play call. I'm reading out of AI now, stating the team had practiced the sequence repeatedly. He later mentioned he wished Prescott had slid around 10 yards instead of 17. Bob, that might have been the worst clock management fiasco in playoff history. One of them, I forgot about that one, but yes, I guarantee that McCarthy hasn't forgotten about that one. But again, there, while the play designed the play call, you can question, it's on the quarterback. That's on the quarterback. And so is this one. Absolutely. And so is quarterbacks are in charge of everything out there. They know that you have to be aware of all the things are going to and knowing they had no timeouts for him to look like he had a brain cramp there. He wasn't, he wasn't sure what to do. Parsons says of Daniels. Yes. He probably cost a lot of people their jobs. And this is your job to be prepared and understand the game and understand situations. That's in your job profile. Parsons said, and you're telling me, oh, we're going to want to pay this guy eventually 60 million. This cannot happen. I don't know if I'd go that far. He went pretty far there based on this. You wouldn't pay Daniels, like you think he's just getting out there. I mean, he's gone a little too far there. I think on that one. But he's right about the other stuff. It's ownership. He's the quarterback. The quarterback must know everything. You're the guy, you know, the general on the field, you're telling people what to do. I'm sure in that they had to have known going into that. How do what they were doing? Yeah. You know, Mike, I'm looking at it again. It's just you can't take your eyes off it. It's, it's, it's a, it's a catastrophe. That's the one time when it ties a good thing if you're the New York Giants. Yeah. I'll say one more limits if you'd be so kind. Thank you. And a lot of talk about the receiver position, Bob. And I saw over on Stealer Depot. They suggested it gently use Scotty Miller. I interest you in that. Or would you rather have Josh Miller at this point? No, I'm not interested. I would rather make a bigger play if I'm going to make a play. I'm not sure who with or, but no limits. Any ideas there? Oh, I mean, I don't think she would use even been scooped up. Did they scoop them up? Or did you just try out? I know there was a try out. Yeah. I think there might be an intent. I don't think they scooped them up. I don't think this is a big deal. I would bring it up. Tyree kill. I say an absolute. Oh my God. No. Please. That's the last thing you need right now. Terrible human being. It's not like you lost Stahlworth and Swan here. You, you lost Ben Skaronik and Roman Wilson with all due respect. And I would go so far as to say this. And I never want to see anybody get injured. Obviously. But the injuries on the Steelers offense has actually helped Mike McCarthy clarify what the roles should be and should have been in the first place. Mike Titans. Like more Titans, like Rico Dattel going down, clarified Warren. That's a good point. Roman Wilson clarifies Jeremy Bernard as frankly, I think the more effective player. And yes, now you're forced to go to fry or mooth and hopefully Mount Washington more. You force feed Metcalf, which I think might be a good thing this week. And you have Jalen Warren coming out of the backfield. Like I still think there's more than enough weaponry to win games like the games coming up. But I think these injuries in a weird way have actually helped the Steelers sort of a blessing in disguise. Blessing in the classic blessing in disguise, Bob. If doubtful to your point was, was healthy and playing, there was a lot of talk. He'd be the guy coming out of training camp would get the lion chair of the carers. He told us as much. Right. So now they had no other choice here. They weren't going to make Lou Nichols or anyone else get the ball more than once in a game or twice in a game. He was going to be the quote bell cow. And because he has ridden with that status and he's done it very well. Now, you know, he's capable. You know what they shouldn't own this several years ago. In my opinion, Najee Harris, when he was here and they were, he got it because he was a number one pick. But I think all of us looked at that and say, who's a better back? If I had to analyze it was Jalen Warren because every time he did something, it was far different than what Najee Harris did. I'll be real honest with you. I wasn't a big Najee Harris fan, but I wasn't convinced on Warren. And I certainly didn't see this. I didn't see a guy. See this because he didn't get an opportunity to do a 25 times again. Right. I didn't see a guy who every time he touched it could take it to the house type. Like that's the feeling. It's kind of like the feeling when you have a good return man, not that the Steelers do. But honestly, even when he gets tackled, your return guy, there's that feeling as you're watching him that every time that guy touches it, he's one, he's one mistackle. He's one move away from going to the house. That actually, that is about weach him because I literally never have that feeling with him. He's listed as a wide receiver. Yet we never mentioned his name in the wide receiving category. Right. You have one trick pony who can't do is one trick. Yeah. I mean, he needs to start doing that better and quite frankly, all the special teams needs to improve. It would be like having a one trick pony, Bob and his trick was juggling and he couldn't juggle. Is there much use for the pony after that? No. I mean, this has become disastrous on that front. No, I didn't see it. I didn't see Warren as that kind of guy. So my eyes have been wide open to this. I didn't see him. I didn't see B. John Robinson light, which is what he is this year, right? So far. Yep. Right. His numbers might even be better than B. John. I don't know. Can you look at a limitless wonder where he doesn't touch it nearly as much as B. John Robinson has. And yet he's third on the list of highest percentage of team scrimmage yards. Warren does B. John touch it more than Warren has so far this. Yeah. I'm going to look at that right now, Bob and try to prove you wrong. How about Kenneth Walker? Do you think he touches the ball more than I don't know. I'd have to look it up. I was surprised to see that Chris Johnson who has the all time scrimmage yards in a single season record and carried it 358 times that year and caught another 40 or 50 passes. That's still only equals about 25 and a half touches a game. So Warren, you know, 21, 22. Now I know he's averaging less than that, but because in the first two games, he he wasn't getting the vast amount of touches. You have to touch the ball a lot to get past what he's doing now. So 120 carries 120 touches and five games is what limits is limits back there, Bob. Can we figure that out on our own? So it's there would be 25 a game. Is it? Five times 25 is what? That's my question. It's one. It's one 25. That's my question, Bob. 120 divided by five is 24 touches a game. All right. So in the last three games, Warren's around 22. So it's a negligible difference, right? And that counts the passing game. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, bjohn has 18 catches and 102 carries. What about, uh, Jameer Gibbs? And by the way, bjohn is big compared to Warren, bjohn's five 11, two 15. Yeah, he's special. That's three. He's got three inches in. I think you could use a word special describing Jalim Warren these days. You can you can do that. He's unbelievable right now. Gibbs already has 105 rushes and 27 receptions, Bob. So that's 132. He's probably around 25. Yeah. 26 touches. Yeah, but that means that he's, you know, same numbers as Warren as far as scrimmage yards, but he's done it with fewer touches. Warren. If this keeps up, Warren could be an MVP candidate for God's. Or at least offensive player of the year. Yeah. Because you know, quarterbacks always get that MVP. Most of the time, yes. Where is Warren in actual rushing yards six? He's at four total 670. I think it's four 20 something like that. Yeah. See is it four hundred and 20 yards rushing. I'll tell you what this Kenneth Walker thing makes me want to break things. It really I'm surprised. No one else really went. I mean, I don't know what the buildup was in turn. He just, it seemed like he, you know, all of a sudden he's just on Kansas City's roster. They sent him no one else. What did they not have tape of the Super Bowl? Then I watched the game. It wasn't like he was running through Emmett Smith sized holes from the Dallas line. He was making everything happen on his own. He's an unbelievable star. And now he's averaging six point two yards a carry for the chiefs six point two. And he has the longest run. I believe in the league this season right about that 76 yards and he's second in the league in rushing and he's played one fewer game than everyone else. I hate every team in the NFL. Bob, they let the chiefs get away with signing this guy for 14 million. Yeah, I don't know that range. Two nine two eight 93 70. I hit on an interesting topic there. We did, Bob, which was contracts with the Steelers. Just taken a little because Doug brought this up on the morning show with Warren. Who are some other guys right now? Who are either entering UFA or contract years? The Patrick Queens and Peyton Wilson's of the world. And what would their contracts look like? Well, fantasy football season is back, baby. I feel like I can really ask a lot of silly questions on this show, but a lot of great questions. There's really not enough time to dive into that the way I want to right now. We got J coffee. field coming up. Would you rather your fantasy football team win or the Steelers win? Oh, the Steelers. You sure about that? If it's the fantasy championship, then I'd rather have my fantasy team win because then there's like true money on the line, and especially depending on what the pot is, I'm in a league where there's a $250 prize. I'm in a different league. It's just like a hundred dollar prize. But how do you get to the championship? So if you'd rather have your fantasy right? So so in your semi final, if it comes down to Lamar Jackson scoring at the goal line to have your fantasy team win, and it happens to be against the Steelers, do you want him to score? Well, I think it also matters how good is that Steelers team? Is this a middleing nine and eight ten and seven Steelers team? Or is this a limit? It doesn't add things to this. It's a good, it's a good Steelers team. No, there's new ones to the Steelers need Steelers need to win the game. But so does your fantasy team. And they're a real Super Bowl contender, like a true Super Bowl contender that I'm taking the Steelers to win for sure. They're if they're a real Super Bowl. Well, yeah, this is like the oh, it's much different than two years ago. Steelers with Russell Wilson, five weeks from now, five weeks from now, eight weeks from now. The Steelers are in first place in the AFC Norse, but they're only a game above 500 and it's Lamar. Yeah. Last second to score against them and beat them. But he gets your fantasy team to the championship. What do you want to happen? I want Lamar to score touchdown and Tyler Loop to miss the extra point. Well, you can't say that. You know what I mean? Who are you rooting for? I'm rooting for the Steelers. Okay. You sure about that. Yes. Bob, I don't know if that's the way it goes. I missed the beginning of that. Sorry. Well, for some people, I'm sure it's the opposite. I think for a lot of people in every city that they root for their fantasy team above their own team. Like if it comes down. Well, if there's a lot of money at stake, they probably would. Yeah. You know, then it's money and pride, though. Isn't it? Do you play fantasy sports? I used to. I ended on, I pulled a Jerome Betis. I want a fantasy league and then I left. I said none of this again. It was just too much of my time. Were you addicted to it? I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it just because you got to know everybody. Even more than you would normally do it. Yeah. You have to delve into their what it would do for my team. Do I like this guy? What's he going to be like this year? All that I enjoyed. But it's just too much work. Yeah. It's too much obsession for me. Limit. Who's Limit's talking to? Are you addicted to it? Limits. How many? How many different fantasy? Yeah. I have four different teams. That's got to occupy a lot of your time. Yeah. Well, that's the thing, Bob. Like my teams have struggled this year just because I'm always constantly so busy. And I didn't draft that well because I didn't pay attention to it. You can very easily lose. I didn't put as much prep into drafting this year as I have previous years. I put some time into it, but just not that much and thought I could just go off the memory bank. And my teams are all around 500. I don't have any team that's like steadily in first place, other than our Odyssey team who's doing really well, but that was drafted by Sean Myers and Joel Nelson. They deserve the credit there. My team in an ESPN league where I don't know anybody is doing unbelievable they're called the bird necks. And I'm four and one. And there's no something about birds ostriches. Birds. You do. I don't know what it is. And you've been named a team. There's nothing more boring in the entire world than somebody talking about their fantasy team. So let me tell you about mine. Josh Allen is my quarterback with Deondre Swift and unfortunately Kenny Gainwell, Jackson Smith and Jigba Matthew Golden, Zay flowers, Tyler Warren, Sam LaPorta. And I just picked up Spencer Schrader as my kicker. That's a hell of a team. Is it not? I mean, never miss again. Boys, he ought to. He's unbelievable. He is. He doesn't matter the distance either. And somebody just let me sneak in and pick him up. I just picked him up. They're in the last break on waivers. This is like the chiefs getting Kenneth Walker. You didn't go for Harrison. Mervis. I had. He was. Mevis. Mevis and butt head was my kicker. And I still won the game. I almost lost. I only one by two because of butt head. Let me ask you about mevis. If they make that kick, does he cut today? You know, he hasn't. He hasn't had a good. He hasn't had a good year. Well, that was actually blocked. Yeah. It was Greg Russo who blocked it. So it's like, man, he paid for that one. But there's special teams in LA have been terrible over here. So I guess if you're going to make a statement, all right. Let's go to the general. We call him general Patton from the baseball card castle in cranberry. Bob, do you have a guest for the card of the week? Well, I would say Jayland Warren or Aaron Rodgers, even I think with all the warrant talk, you forget how good Aaron Rodgers has been with this three game spread of nine touchdown. So one of those two, I would think if you have a volleyball, why not take Olivia Babcock, she's gotten more honors. He always does. Wonder when you go with the Jaden Daniels card. I mean, he tried to kneel with five seconds left. Bob out of respect for himself. Thought there was enough time to call time out. You know, he hasn't forgotten that one. Is there a special number five? Jaden Daniels card general of him holding up a five and respecting the number five? There is not one yet, but there may be soon. What do you got general? Good morning, guys. Thanks for having me. I have a overlooked guy here. How about Pat Friar Mooth? He loves Mooth. I got two touchdowns for Friar Mooth. And I have a spectacular card. It's a donner's elite turn of the century. He only signed the 190 90s. There's a certified autograph. And we got a rookie Friar Mooth autograph for this week's card. How about he's a leading red zone receiver this year in the NFL, I believe. Yeah. And I wonder also that diversity is actually helping Rodgers, right? Rodgers look really good. Hitting the tight end certainly has been a part of that. Man, that's that's something. I love that one. And people will love that again, your chance to get that card. Is it one or two cards, did you say general? It's one card, but you know what? Let's throw in a Mount Washington also. We'll want to hold tight tight end room. We have a stretch milk, Bob. You got a Bobby Tony and card to throw in there. Who do you need? Bobby, Tony. I'd have to really dig for that one. I bet you would. I'd have to dig for that one. He did have a run with Rodgers in the past. I'm sure he has a card a few years ago, but it's been a little gap. General, putting a Mount Washington to go with the Friar Mooth. I just saw a story and you're a memorabilia guy, of course, as well. You walk into the general store. It's the general store we could call it the baseball card castle. You're going to see hockey sticks from Stanley Cup finals and pucks and used baseball gloves from pirate grates and baseball bats and everything you can imagine footballs, football jerseys. A Chicago Bulls jersey worn by Jordan in game two of the 98 NBA finals just sold, uh, general through a private sale for 14 million. That wasn't even a notable game. It's the second most expensive game use jersey ever sold behind the 24.1 million paid in nine in 2024 for Bay Breuths called shot Jersey. I get that one from the 32 world series. Why would somebody pay 14 million for this Jordan jersey, do you think? So we always look at things. We being the people that have been around sports for 50 years and we prioritize, but man, we talk about it in news media and sports media, but recency bias is huge in investing, right? Jordan is far superior to Bay Breuth in the eyes of many, many people in the United States who are much younger than us. Um, Jordan's an icon. He's also Americana because of the fashion and the shoes. He's more relevant in regards to time. Like to me, I'd rather have the root piece any day because there's also only several root pieces and there's lots of Jordans because they manufactured those things for memorabilia at this point in time. When Bay Breuth was there, you, you even look at 70 Steelers jerseys and are knitted back together because the Roonies didn't want to buy new ones, right? Like so they'd stitch them back. They'd use the same Jersey for a whole year. NBA guys get a new Jersey every night now. Wow, there's so many versions. Yeah, that's nuts. No, I call it, it's my term as manufactured memorabilia, right? They produce things to be authenticated and to be sold, but the demand is so much hard. That's the other side of the equation. Here's a really funny story. I had a game used Jordan Jersey when I was a young box starting this and I sold it for $12,000. Now it wasn't a NBA finals, but it was a game used Jordan. It's probably worth six if not seven figures now. Oh my God. I sold it for $12,000, but buyers remorse on how much to answer me this when Bob gets into the Pittsburgh walk of fame, which, what's it called limits? Pittsburgh Walk of Fame. Walk of Fame. They just had the induction. How much would Bob's walk of fame used suit go for? Don't ask. You don't have to answer that. opportunity. Someone will want to buy it and cut it up and put it on pieces on the cards like we give away every week. Bob, that would be incredible. That was a great day. We could have mentioned. We could have mentioned Franco or Mario or Myron yesterday. We're part of that. They sure weren't last. So yeah, that was, that was great to see. General, I'm curious. Yesterday was the 66th anniversary of the Bill Maserowski walkoff home run game seven of the world series. 66. Okay. If, if that ball, which Maserowski and house myths sign and gave it back to the young fan who found it, if that ball were to go up for auction today, what do you think it would be worth? I think it's lost forever. Nobody knows where it is. Yeah. I, I would debate whether that is actually, you know, verifiable because where the ball landed, many balls landed, right? Like, I don't know that there's a chain of custody there that would. What if it was? Let's just say hypothetically that that they knew that this was the ball. It would be $2 million. I'm sure. Oh my God. Someone in Pittsburgh would want to have it and have it on their desk or in the vault. Thank you, General. You're welcome, gentlemen. Have a good week. That was a good, buddy. That was a good segment. Yeah, that was fun. I learned a lot there. I didn't realize how that business works to the point you can manufacture some of these things like these teams do. Are you the private investor that paid 14 million for the Jordan Jersey? Is that going up in the pump man cave? No, but how about a Jordan autograph golf club? Oh, man. You have that. I'm just asking. I want to ask them how much that's worth. Why didn't you do that when you were at Neverwood? You could have had a autograph of putter. That's right. Do you have anything from those? Oh, I have a new invitations. Yeah, they nothing that would rise to the level of, you know, big time money. And I wouldn't do it anyway. To me, they're all for my man cave. To put down there. See if I had a Jordan autograph putter, I'd use it. I told you I have a tiger autograph. I'm a master's flag. I told you that. That is incredible. I'm not going to. What would you use it for? Just to have conversation pieces when people come. Oh, I know, but I mean, I'm talking about things like bats and clubs. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Baseballs. I'd use that. Would you wear that Jordan use Jersey? Not. I know you would. I would. I wouldn't for a second. I'd wear it. My next pick up game without question, Bob. That you slide and get it all dirty. I can't do that. Rob, are you ever going to invite us over? By the way, Joe and I've never been invited. I don't have any time. Austin, you just said when you live any time to conversation here, I'm never invited. I'm never. We're easily entertained. You want to come over it one in the morning? Yeah. So come on. I mean, yeah, I will. Just orders it will or if you give us a carte blanche to order food, we'll just sit in your man cave with you. Not there. We can do it. Yeah, Joe and I can do a podcast. She loves having people. That would be great. We get treated like it's Ben's basement. We can just sit there and have a podcast, but it's Bob's basement. Some tin foil hockey will get going. It'll be, it'll be great, Bob. You guys made me laugh. Rainy and cloudy day. I had Joe green 75, a low of Mason Cole 61 fan weather brought to you by secure money advisors looking to retire soon. Let's secure money advisors. Get your retirement on track. Austin Lemieux, Mario's son had an unbelievable week with a major accomplishment. We're going to talk about that. And of course, where are the penguins right now after that loss last night? Jake Coffield up next on Pomp and Joe. Every week on the Moff podcast, real people tell their stories live on stage.
