The sermon emphasizes that the church functions as a body where each member contributes through service, gifts, and resources, rather than merely receiving. It introduces biblical principles of generosity, comparing them to universal laws like gravity, which operate regardless of belief. The speaker explains that giving leads to increase, citing Proverbs 11:24–25, and warns against victim mentalities or reliance on external systems like government. A heartfelt tribute honors mothers for their enduring sacrifices, accompanied by a prayer for strength and blessing. The message concludes by introducing a series on the power of generosity, stressing that generosity is a mindset that expands one’s life and breaks limitations, regardless of current circumstances.
Serving the Body of Christ and the Kingdom
Hi family, on behalf of Pastor Steven and Andrea Ridgley and the CRC Manchester team, thank you for joining us today.
We trust and believe that God will speak to you through this message.
Enjoy the sermon.
What?
Speaker 2
Are you doing and ask?
Give the Lord a massive handclap of praise.
It's great to have you all here.
Welcome to Christian Revival Church here in Manchester on this very special Mother's Day and you may be seated.
It's great to have you here, man.
Thankful for each and everyone of you.
Thankful for the body of Christ.
Who's thankful for the body of Christ?
No, you don't need to be alone, but God brings us into a body of which Christ is the head of the body.
So there is a head.
That means you have to listen to the head.
So we can't have the benefits of the body without operating according to the conditions that the the head is set out.
Do you know what I'm saying?
So people want the church to do a lot of things for them, even though the church is not designed to do things for you, the church is designed for you to serve.
So it says in Ephesians 4 that the the body is joined and knitted together and that with the the church matures and grows with what every joint supplies.
So when a joint is designed to supply to the body and that joint is instead taken from the body, you get a malfunction and a dysfunction in the body.
So the body of Christ is designed for every person that gets added to the body to bring something to that the gifts that God's given them, the energy, the resources, the time, their money, their gifts, their their positivity, their unity, all that God's designed for us to bring to.
And then when you bring it to the body, you feel like some people as I'm talking, so you need to bring stuff, you start thinking, oh, well, so I'm here to lose out then or what?
What's the deal here?
Because if I start giving stuff out, then I'm going to have less stuff.
Biblical Principles of Giving and Receiving
But in the Kingdom of God, the more you give, the more you get.
So, and, and this isn't like some like, you know, hype talk.
This is biblical.
So if you haven't noticed, I don't preach according to culture or tradition or what's popular.
I preach according to the word because it's, it outlasts every culture and tradition.
So you'd be surprised if you go to to what you would consider a poor nation, how much they preach prosperity and believe in prosperity because they, they, they want what you have.
They don't want poverty because people that are in poverty know how rubbish it is and destructive it is.
You know what I'm saying?
So you think like you're not a victim, you're actually a victor because of Christ.
So the Bible says that the generous soul will be made wealthy and he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
So that's a principle.
How many know that the Bible is full of principles, It's full of laws that govern the earth, and it's full of principles.
Now, laws like gravity's a law.
You understand that?
So it doesn't like gravity isn't discriminating against your culture, your colour, your age, your race, your gender or whatever agenda you decide to be that morning.
Gravity is working on everyone.
I understand.
So right now we're standing because of gravity.
So you remove gravity will float.
So if we go to the top of this building and jump off, you're not going to float to the ground.
You're going to hit the ground hard and you're going to hit it hard because of gravity.
So you can claim you don't believe in gravity.
It's something, not something I, I don't really believe in gravity.
It's OK.
We don't, you don't need to believe in it for it to work.
So the laws of God, you don't need to believe in them for them to actually govern the Earth.
You know, I see many unsaved people that are generous talk about how it just keeps coming back to them.
The more generous you are, the more it comes back to them.
It's because it's a law.
So it's not based on like how good you are, how nice you are, how friendly you are.
It's a law that governs the world as long as the earth remains.
Genesis 822, Are we still on earth?
Who thinks they're not?
Who feels like they're not?
Who wishes they weren't so all good?
Genesis 822.
As long as the earth remains, sea time and harvest remain.
That means as long as this earth is spinning, you're on it.
Sea time and harvest will always be a law that governs this earth.
Now that's not hard to understand from a physical sense.
Anyone that has an allotment or anyone that's ever been into farming knows that you don't get crop and harvest without seed in the ground.
You've got to have seed in the ground.
And it, it's not like this farmers don't get together and be like, you know, basically why are you sowing so much seed?
You don't need to sow that much seed.
You can trust God for a harvest.
God will.
God will come through for you.
Farmers know if the seeds aren't in the ground, the crop doesn't come out of the ground.
It's just how it works.
So but when we get saved and we start operating spiritual principles, we forget these things and we start thinking that God is just going to come and do it right.
You don't understand how many disgruntled people are on this earth that follow God, but don't so and think that God is going to come through and do all these magic things for them because they they're nice to him and and they love him and they like sing and they're in church and stuff.
And then and then you get angry at God for not doing the things that you think he should do, but you're violating the very way that he showed for you to get the things that you're trying to obtain that make sense.
So some people are more loyal to their poverty than they are to their gods.
And you think like, what do you mean?
I'm saying like people like if you don't have a lot, so let's say you think you're poor even though you're not poor, but let's say you think you are or you don't have a lot and it's all right for you.
You've got, it's all right for them.
It's all right for rich people.
It's all right for it's all right for everyone, but it's not all right for me.
That's called being a victim.
You start like playing the little victim card, like, you know, it's hard for me, it's hard for me.
And then the government just prime you get you all reliant on them.
God never designed you to be reliant on a government.
You meant to be reliant on him.
He's your source.
So your life was not designed to get an injury and then prolong your injury so that you can get payouts because you can't be bothered to go back and work.
That's not life.
That's not the way God has created us to be.
God says he blesses the work of our.
So if you're injured and you're actually injured, obviously I'm not talking to you.
But I worked with a lot of people on the underground who like they, they, oh, oh, I've just done my back when no one was watching.
Now they have to go and sit in the van for the rest of the night.
Now they do it.
Next week they're doing acclaim hoping to get 20 grand because they they now have fallen, even though I know very well they didn't.
They're just lazy and they don't want to work.
So laziness leads to poverty.
Work with your hands.
That's how you that that leads to wealth.
That's what the Bible says.
So it's not like my opinion.
That's what the Bible says.
That's what the Bible says.
So we're going to talk a bit about it today.
A Special Tribute to All Mothers
But before we do, can we honour all our beautiful mothers?
Is that it?
You're just going to give them a clap?
And then we love the mothers, man.
So all our beautiful mothers, if you're able, arise to your feet.
Why are you all acting like you don't deserve so much praise and so much honour?
And yeah, any secret mothers we didn't know about some of the dads.
Now we'll leave that fathers.
I don't know you're them.
So we, we want to honour all, all You Beautiful mothers, right?
So thank you for everything that you do.
Thank you for carrying human beings inside your bodies and pushing them out into the world with a lot of pain because, you know, it's a thing, man.
It's, it's a thing.
I saw it for the first time and I was like, OK, this is crazy.
You know, I, I, I don't know if other people have this thought.
When you see the first kid come out, all I thought was how have I was like, how has all these billions of people done this throughout history and then done it again and again then have like 5 or 6.
I'm like, women are amazing, incredible Beyoncé, you know?
So mothers, I'm telling you now, this world would be a tragic place without mothers, without women, like your home is not the same without your mum.
It's just mothers carry something graceful, powerful, beautiful that needs to be celebrated and honoured.
So we honour you today for like all the things that you do, you know, which it's a very on you don't get instant gratification for being a mom, you know, And sometimes the dad gets, you know, like the not the glory, but like you're doing all this stuff and then he comes in now let's play.
And then they like you're telling them to brush their teeth, eat their greens, do their homework.
And Dad's like, no, let's play computer.
Yeah, who are they going to?
Who are they going to favour that day?
You know, so, but, but you know, so we want to thank you today and say that we love you And and I and I pray that God will give you strength because you never stop being a mother.
And then a lot of you are mothers to others.
That's cool, ain't it?
Just flows, man, your mothers to others.
So some of you are like, you know, your mothers to like because because a mother, you have a mum, but a mother is a mother and they always are willing to share that gift to those that don't have, you know what I mean?
And and those that like lack that.
And so we thank you for that as well for all all the amazing mothers.
Can you lift your hands?
Can we all stretch out to the beautiful mothers?
Father, I thank you for every mother in this house, Lord, and I pray today a special blessing upon their lives, Lord, a special strength.
I pray Father God, for many of them have been praying Lord in their closets, in their inner rooms, hearts desires to come to pass things even within their children, even though their children are older, even though children are grown, they're still praying and believe in you for certain things.
And I pray today I come in agreement with every single prayer and I declare it done in the name of Jesus.
I pray a supernatural faith to rise up in every mother's heart, not to give up, but to go 10 times more in the convictions of their heart, in the love and the grace that you've blessed them with.
Lord, I pray you will bless them abundantly for every sacrifice they've made.
Lord, I pray you bless them a hundredfold.
Lord, bless them in every metric.
Bless them in every way.
And I pray their hearts will be a healthy and strong Lord.
Use them in their homes, in their workplaces, in society, in the church.
Use them mightily.
Lords raise them up and use them Father.
Those that feel discouraged, I speak forth.
Encouragement today.
Belief, dreams to come to pass.
I thank you Lords, for their children and the children are blessed, the bless coming in and the bless going out, blessing everything that they do.
Lord, we honour your Father.
Thank you for every mother in Jesus name, Amen.
Amen.
And then when when you when you leave the service, if you go into the tea and coffee area, then we've just got a little gift for you.
It's not a Louis Vuitton bag or anything like that.
Hopefully your son did that or your daughter.
But it's just a small token to say that we love you and we appreciate you and we're thinking about you.
Introducing the Power of Generosity Series
And then, before I jump into the sermon, my actual mum is here today.
Speaker 3
Who?
Speaker 2
So you know, with all, if you think like I'm sort of like a stubborn in a good way person, like stubborn to get a job done, stubborn to like we're going to do this.
That's what we're doing.
That's where I get it from.
Is my mom because I've told her 1000 times, Mom, come and sit with me at the front.
I want you to sit with me.
No, I will not sit at the front.
So if you know my mom will never sit at the front, don't ask me why she doesn't want to.
So she always sits there at the back.
But I want to honour my mum today, publicly, you know, because I love her.
And my mum led me to the Lord.
My mum led me into the House of God.
My mum showed me how to serve God.
My mum, through thick and thin has never backed away from serving God.
Never once in her life has she ever walked, she's never even wavered in her commitment to God and she's been through a few bricks and bobs.
And unfortunately me and my brother were the culprits of many of the bits and bobs.
Which is partly why I bought you that car because I just felt I need to do something significant for the significant stress I put you under as a teenager, which you know, I always regret actually.
But the, but the point is that in my maddest times, it's like mum, when I got saved, actually, the Lord showed me my mum in a closet praying for me.
And he showed me that like it's because of her prayers that you, you can't run away from her prayers.
Like they've, they've pulled you in and they've got you in.
And now sometimes we talk and she probably wishes she didn't pray so much because now I'm telling her like, no, mum, you need to.
It's a push for more now.
But but so I love you, mum.
Thank you for everything that you've, that you've done.
And you're, you're the perfect example of a strong, pure, godly woman that will just, you just live for the Kingdom.
So thank you, I love you and we all love you because you are Granny Jenny to this church who thinks my mum should move to Manchester.
All right, so can you all, please?
I've been trying to persuade her the same way I tried to get her to sit at the front.
I've been trying to get her to move here for the last I don't know how long.
So let's do that.
Amen.
Everyone good.
Everyone ready?
Can I talk to you today from the heart about the power of generosity?
Can I?
That's not a good time to leave my wife, she said.
I've heard this all before.
I ain't got time for this.
She'll be back just like the Terminator.
So this generosity thing giving finance church you, it's been in my spirit for a while now.
And if you if you listen to me, I'm always talking about these things laced in between.
But it's like I've felt this sermon building up a series in my spirit.
And I'm like, OK, I'm just waiting for the moment to say, OK, now this is the moment.
So I'm like waiting from God.
I'm like, OK, it's now the time.
Last week wasn't in time.
What did I've reached last week?
I finished How to finish your race.
It's fun.
Yeah.
How to make sure that you finish your race, which you thought I would never finish, which is ironic, but we did finish it in the end.
And if you haven't heard them, I would suggest that you, you listen to them and you can listen to them online or there's, there's a way to listen to them digitally.
And then you should listen to them because you, you know what's funny?
I actually listen to sermons that I preach to help me.
Does that make sense?
So I say things and I preach and I prepare, but I'm in a preparation prepared, preach led by the spirit, say certain things mode like Tuesday we had Bible school.
Oh, she's back.
All good.
She's I read Bible school and it was like super powerful night and it was, it was about 1 mindedness, not being double minded.
And it's like all these things I had prepared something that all these things came out and as they were coming out, there was just a flow and I was just like, flip it, man, this is so good because I was like, this is the.
Speaker 3
Lord.
Speaker 2
And I'm like, so I'm listening back to it to hear what I actually said.
Write it down because I've never said that.
It was like a spirit moment.
Speaker 4
You get what I'm saying?
So you.
Speaker 2
Should listen back to things and and let it like settle in your spirit.
Speaker 4
About what God's saying.
Speaker 2
So this power of generosity thing and.
Speaker 4
It's just too big.
Speaker 2
A thing to do in one week.
So it's it's automatically I prepared and it 3 sermons immediately and I know there's another 2IN in there that need to come out because I know exactly what it is that the angles.
Speaker 3
Of how you have.
Speaker 2
To understand how generosity works.
To break things off of your life.
Speaker 4
And to do what God?
Speaker 2
Has called you to do.
Speaker 4
And to not be.
Speaker 2
Restricted and.
Speaker 4
And always.
Speaker 2
Like you have periods in life, especially in the earlier years, where things or circumstances change and then you get restricted a bit.
But and as someone who's broken it in their spirit will not stay restricted long.
So it's like if you ask someone now to try and become a millionaire and they've been like not a millionaire their whole lives, very much the opposite.
They're going to.
Speaker 4
Struggle.
Speaker 2
To become a millionaire.
Speaker 4
Like just because.
Speaker 2
Why?
Speaker 4
It's a mindset.
Speaker 2
It's not a bank balance, it's a mentality.
It's an understanding and it what I'm trying to take you in is to understand the promises of the word and the principles of the word so that you can live a free life, not bound.
If you ask someone who's who's a multi millionaire and they lose it all to do it again, they'll do it within a year.
Speaker 4
Because once you've.
Speaker 2
Broken something at faith level and you've done something.
It's easy now.
I'm not.
I'm not preaching to say everyone should try and become a millionaire.
That's not what I'm saying.
I'm trying to explain that once something's broken, it's broken.
Speaker 4
So you can now take.
Speaker 2
My circumstantial things away, but my faith will quickly get.
Speaker 3
All those things back.
Speaker 4
You get what I'm saying?
So.
Speaker 2
Someone can come today and say, right, The owner can say, Steve, you can't meet in this church building again.
Speaker 4
Next week we'll be.
Speaker 2
In a venue.
Speaker 4
It's not going.
Speaker 2
To we're not going to be, oh, you know, we don't have no, because in my spirit, I've already done that.
I've I I know what I possess and I know how powerful the church is, and God wants the church to meet together.
Speaker 4
So let me.
How Giving Freely Leads to Abundant Living
Let.
Speaker 3
Me show the first.
Speaker 2
Scripture.
So OK, let me ask the question then share the scripture.
Who wants their lives to expand?
Speaker 4
Who wants their lives to?
Speaker 2
Grow who?
Speaker 4
Wants their lives to.
Speaker 2
Increase.
So so then I'm definitely talking to the right people then this isn't for them out there today.
This is for you.
Usually my sermon is for people out, but no, they're for the people in Proverbs 11/24 to 25.
Speaker 4
It says the world.
Speaker 2
Of the generous gets larger and larger.
The world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.
The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed.
Those who help others are helped right life changing scripture #1 The power of generosity can have #1.
Speaker 4
Generosity.
Speaker 2
Will take your life to the next level all.
Speaker 4
Right.
That was a big Amen.
Speaker 2
It's a big Amen.
OK, so according to the Word of God, what does generosity do?
Speaker 4
Makes your life.
Speaker 2
Get larger, larger a lot.
So I just asked, is that what you want?
And you all said yes.
So the way to do it is by being generous.
That's how you do it.
Now, generosity is not about how much you have.
It's a hard thing.
It's not about like, well, I'll be generous when I've got this and I've got that.
Generosity is an overflow of.
I use what I have when I have it and I and I'm generous with it.
Speaker 4
That's that's how generosity.
Speaker 2
Works.
Speaker 4
So then it.
Speaker 5
Says.
Speaker 2
We'll read it in a new living because it says the same thing but in a different way.
Give freely and become more wealthy.
Speaker 4
Be stingy.
Speaker 2
And lose everything.
Speaker 4
So have you noticed?
Speaker 2
That tight fisted people never have.
So did that hit her?
Speaker 5
No, I know it's not you.
Speaker 2
It's someone you know.
Speaker 4
Someone who's meant to be here.
Speaker 2
But they're not here.
Speaker 4
So go back.
Speaker 2
24 give freely and become a wealthy so so I'm trying to take you on a journey now, right?
I'm trying to take you somewhere through the scriptures.
So what you have to do is undo what you've heard, your auntie, your uncle, your mum, your dad, your sister, your brother, and anyone really say when it comes to these things outside of the word of God.
Because I heard a lot of things growing up from lots of different places that that I couldn't find in the word.
It just sounded popular and it sounded like the type of thing that you should say, but I don't want to be wealthy.
I don't want to be wealthy.
Why don't you want to be wealthy?
Speaker 4
Well, it's it's bad.
Speaker 2
Isn't it?
Is it?
If it was bad, why would the Bible be teaching you how to become it?
Speaker 4
You know, I sat down.
Speaker 2
With it with some people once right such it's so funny how and and I pray that your minds will unlock.
I feel like through these sermons, many of you are going to unlock in a very significant way of your lives.
Speaker 4
Right I.
Speaker 2
Sat with a couple who were on the brink of leaving.
Speaker 4
Because they don't believe.
Speaker 2
In a few bits, mainly prosperity, they.
Speaker 4
Said they don't really like.
Speaker 2
Agree with prosperity and they've heard me use the word.
So they were like, well, we're not really behind that.
So I then proceeded to share every scripture in the Bible that has the word prospering or prosperity or prosperous, which are plentiful so.
Speaker 4
You.
You're.
Speaker 2
Basically having to RIP out many pages of your Bible if you don't want the word prosperity to be part of your walk with God.
Speaker 4
So they viewed it quite.
Speaker 2
Negatively that like, you know, someone would be prosperous in a Christian sense or in a church sense.
You know, we've got everything we need.
We don't want more.
It's a lot how a lot of people think got everything.
You don't need more.
Speaker 4
But they have a.
Speaker 2
Friend.
Speaker 4
Who owned?
Speaker 2
A business and their friend drove a Bentley SUV now when they spoke about their friend, they.
Speaker 4
Spoke about.
Speaker 2
Their friend, like their friend was the best thing since sliced bread.
Oh yeah.
Speaker 5
They're so successful.
Speaker 2
They've got a Bentley.
We've been in the Bentley, I'm thinking, so it's OK for unsaved people.
Speaker 4
To have.
Speaker 2
Prosperity, and you celebrate it, but when it comes to God's people having prosperity, you're like, Oh no, no, no.
Speaker 4
No, no, that's too much.
Speaker 2
No, no, no, no.
Humble me.
I'm humble.
I'm humble, I.
Speaker 4
Just I don't.
Speaker 2
Need.
I don't need anything.
No, you you might not need anything, but there's people out there that do need stuff.
Speaker 4
So what you want?
Speaker 2
Is some rich person to come along and sort of like, you know what I mean, They're going to come and solve the issues of the world.
Speaker 4
Well, you just have.
Speaker 2
What you want and you just have the Bible says verse 24.
Give freely and become more wealthy, be stingy and lose everything.
So a tight fistedness leads leads to a tightness in life where things don't flow, things don't open.
You never have enough.
Everything's a problem, you know?
You know it's.
Speaker 3
Simple.
Speaker 2
Things.
Simple things like.
Speaker 4
Let's say you want to take.
Speaker 2
Your kids and your family out for a meal.
But you, you think, oh, let's go out for a meal.
Then you think, oh, but oh, it's going to be too.
Speaker 3
Expensive.
Speaker 2
We have to do this, We have to do that.
You're being restricted.
Speaker 4
Let's say you know A.
Speaker 2
Kid that wants a bike but he can't afford the bike and you, You.
Speaker 3
Buy that kid.
Speaker 2
The bike you acting generosity towards that family or that child, which happened to me.
Well, I've shared before that that was something that that touched my life.
Someone in church said to my mom and dad they want to buy me and my brother a brand new bike because my mom had been doing her best with the, you know, the paper that you get and they have the second hand bikes in it.
You don't do that now that this is long ago stuff.
So then we get all these second hand bikes and then all your mates are like that second hand and you're like.
Speaker 4
Whatever, If you come closer, I'll.
Speaker 2
Smash it off your head.
Speaker 4
But but.
Speaker 2
See, they bought us this brand new bike and it was really impacting for me.
Now if that person didn't have, they couldn't do.
Speaker 4
They couldn't.
Do you get what I'm saying?
Speaker 2
So wanting to.
Speaker 3
Become.
Speaker 2
Having a larger life and an increased life is not about being a materialistic junkie that just wants to buy stuff for themselves.
It's about having the freedom to bless others, sowing to others, build church buildings, help the poor, help the needy, help the widows and help people.
Speaker 5
It's a lot harder.
Speaker 2
To manage £10,000,000 it takes more intelligence and more wisdom than to manage 100 lbs.
And yet some people can't even do that first.
Speaker 3
Thing you buy is a.
Speaker 2
Flipping Vape.
Speaker 4
And I'm not being rude.
Speaker 2
I'm just saying that stuff kills you, man.
So you're taking the money that you can use to be generous and to to eat because whatever you have is the key to whatever you don't have.
So if.
Speaker 3
You don't have.
Speaker 2
What you this life is larger life.
You have to use what you currently have as seed to get into the the bigger world.
Speaker 3
That God wants you because.
Speaker 2
He says be fruitful and multiply so.
So it means people, animals and things.
God wants you to be fruitful and multiply in every aspect of your life.
So business, work, family, finance, health, all the all the ways your relationships with people, God wants the best for you.
God wants to increase you and multiply you.
God wants to bless you.
Speaker 5
People.
I don't know why people.
Speaker 2
Struggle so much with understanding that God wants to bless your life, God wants to bless your marriage, God wants to bless your health.
God wants to bless you.
No, God's put me through this to test me.
God.
Speaker 3
Will test.
Speaker 2
Your heart, but there's not examples of him giving like sickness out to people to test it.
Speaker 4
There's not biblical.
Speaker 2
Examples of that, there's biblical examples of people going through things and trusting in God and getting broke.
Breakthrough.
Speaker 4
And you think, like what?
Speaker 2
How do we know what God wants to give to people?
How do we know who became flesh and dwelt amongst us?
Jesus?
John One, verse 15.
Speaker 4
The word.
Speaker 3
Became.
Speaker 2
Flesh and dwelt amongst us, so this is God.
Speaker 3
In the flesh.
Speaker 2
What does God in the flesh do when he moves around the earth?
Speaker 4
Everywhere there was.
Speaker 2
Sickness.
The sickness was healed.
It didn't matter what the sickness was.
Everywhere there was a demonic oppression and addiction that was set free.
Speaker 4
He didn't go to.
Speaker 2
Healthy people and give them sickness.
I didn't go to non non possessed people and give them demons.
Speaker 4
That didn't happen.
Speaker 2
He set them free.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me to set the captives free.
You get what I'm saying?
And then it goes on.
In verse 25 it says the generous will.
Speaker 3
Swear words.
Speaker 4
The generous will.
Speaker 2
Prosper.
So what happens to generous people?
They prosper.
Speaker 4
So like this is in.
Speaker 2
The Bible.
Yeah, I'm reading from the Bible.
Speaker 4
Generous people.
Speaker 2
Prosper.
Speaker 4
Generous people.
Speaker 2
Increase generous people, multiply and then here's the one, the one that will change your life.
Those.
Speaker 3
Who?
Speaker 2
Refresh others.
Speaker 3
Will themselves.
Speaker 2
Be refreshed.
Speaker 4
So if you want.
Speaker 2
Refreshment you've got to stop begging people for.
Speaker 3
Refreshment.
Speaker 2
And and like putting little quick words out there and sentences and things just to, to some people go, oh, what's wrong?
Speaker 4
You know you want your.
Speaker 2
Little attention like like.
Speaker 1
And then, oh, what's up?
Speaker 2
I don't do that.
People do little stuff like that.
I just ignore it.
Just get on my dad.
I'm not entering into a little pity party with you.
Speaker 4
You can have a pity.
Speaker 2
Party, but just don't invite me because I'm never coming.
Speaker 4
I'm telling you that I was your.
Speaker 2
Pastor, I'm not coming to your pity party.
Why?
Because being at your pity party ain't helping you.
It doesn't get you out of the addiction, doesn't break you free from the thing that you're sitting in.
What breaks you free is the anointed, the Spirit of God.
The anointed breaks every yoke of bondage.
Speaker 4
The word of God.
Speaker 2
Sets people free, so you have a choice.
As someone who preaches the word and teaches the word and speaks the word into people's lives, you can speak what's popular, what's palatable, what people agree with.
That seems culturally appropriate.
Which is, by the way to.
Speaker 3
Slam.
Speaker 2
Prosperity is is culturally the thing to do.
Speaker 4
And oh, it's one of them.
Speaker 2
Prosperity preachers that we we they're from.
Speaker 3
Satan.
Speaker 2
They're wicked.
Speaker 4
That's what that's.
Speaker 2
Basically the coach thing.
But if you ignore everyone and just preach the word, could I prepare sermons like I'm John on the island of Patmos?
I don't care what culture says, I don't care what's popular.
I'm getting the word and I'm preaching it direct.
There's no like philtre in between.
Like, well, people are a bit sensitive, good for them.
The word will help them.
A.
Speaker 3
Lot then you don't need.
Speaker 2
To be like Molly coddled through your life, you know, with the word, could you, could you use a?
Speaker 5
Little scripture.
Could you?
Could you, Could you?
Jesus loves you?
Could you?
Could you?
Could you?
Speaker 4
God has not created.
Speaker 2
You to survive.
Speaker 4
You know, like, oh.
Speaker 2
I just can't wait till Jesus comes back.
Why is your life so bad that all you want is Jesus to come back?
Speaker 4
And if you actually.
Speaker 2
Really deep the reason why Jesus isn't coming back you should actually be a little bit like ashamed that you want him to come back so soon do you know why the Bible says in Peter that Jesus isn't coming back he.
Speaker 4
Says he's not slack.
Speaker 2
Concerning his promise.
Speaker 4
The reason why he's not?
Speaker 2
Back is because he wants more people to get saved.
Speaker 4
So you saying Jesus?
Speaker 2
Come back now.
It's basically like saying I don't give about the people that are going to help, Just come back for me.
I'm ready.
I don't like war.
I'm ready to go.
Speaker 4
But the Bible says there'll.
Speaker 2
Be wars and rumours and wars.
So why did the church get their knickers in A twist when there's a war?
The Bible.
Speaker 3
Says it's going to happen.
Speaker 2
So just stay on the course, man.
Speaker 4
Stay in your lane like.
Speaker 2
Build the Kingdom, get people saved, be.
Speaker 5
Generous.
Speaker 2
Help people, love people.
Speaker 4
Lead people to.
Speaker 2
Jesus, pray for people, lay hands on people.
People are sick.
Pray for them to be healed.
Speaker 4
Get the.
Speaker 5
Oil out.
Speaker 2
Anoint them with oil.
Pray over them.
You use any oil.
You don't need holy Jerusalem oil.
Speaker 4
Don't ask me to bless.
Speaker 2
Your oil.
Speaker 4
Can't bless you.
I can.
Speaker 2
Bless your marriage, I can bless your union.
Can't bless your oil?
Speaker 4
You can get baptised.
Speaker 2
In any water, you don't need a holy water.
There's no such thing as holy water.
I know it might be a revelation.
There ain't such a thing as holy water.
You can't make water holy.
There's just water and it's all good.
Mainly the one not from the tap.
The Freedom to Bless and Meet Needs
So people want to be.
Speaker 2
Refreshed, but they're so focused on getting refreshed and not refreshing others.
Speaker 4
Like wake up.
Speaker 2
Like, oh, I just need a breakthrough.
I need help, I need this, I need that.
It's a very like need mentality.
Need I need the church should pastor should do this for me.
The church should do this.
And then we don't meet your expectation.
We're not here to meet your expectation.
We're a family building our family.
Speaker 4
So if you go what?
Speaker 2
I don't really like, you know.
Speaker 4
I don't like the.
Speaker 2
The wooden Someone actually said that to me that came to one of our events.
They don't like the wooden thing.
I'm like, OK, come and paint it then for me.
Speaker 4
I don't like it either.
Speaker 2
I don't.
Speaker 4
Mind.
Speaker 3
If you paint.
Speaker 2
It black, I'll be happy.
Speaker 4
You know what I mean?
Like.
Speaker 2
If you see a need, meet the need.
Speaker 4
So right.
Speaker 3
Now.
Speaker 2
You know, like right now I can't in, in my current level whack out £2,000,000 for the Curzon.
I'm not in that but I can do other things like pay £10,000 towards it like we did so.
Speaker 4
I but then.
Speaker 2
One day I'm believing God that I will be able to do that.
How?
Who the flip knows?
I don't really care.
I'm not interested in how, I'm just interested in levelling up from where I am.
Speaker 4
So if I'm always levelling.
Speaker 2
Up and always pushing the generosity then it's always going to my life is always going to increase and doors are going to open that's the thing like you don't get the supernatural element of being generous to people being generous to God being generous to the church being generous to your family being generous what I what I what I see then a gift does in someone's life so as you go around refreshing others you yourself get refreshed that that's what my mom does she she.
Speaker 3
Encourages.
Speaker 2
Everyone encourages everyone, and people are always so kind to her because she's so kind to everyone.
You want to encourage.
You want to be encouraged.
Encourage others.
Speaker 4
You know, don't come to church.
Speaker 2
Like I'm just so.
Speaker 3
Sad like.
Speaker 2
Stop being sad.
Can we just do that?
The only thing you think like you think oh I'm sad now I need medication.
Well who indoctrinated you like that way?
Who made us all feel like, oh, the only way I can survive is if I have like 15 medications now I get some medication for some things.
It's very logical and it and it's, it's part of the process of the healing and, and all the other things.
But I'm telling you now.
Speaker 4
Your your.
Speaker 2
Your heart and, and I haven't met one person right that says they're depressed that goes on depression medication and is better after the medication.
I just meet people that get more addicted to more medications and then they give you different ones, more, more stronger ones.
And then now you're on really strong ones and then they give you higher doses and now you're on a really high dose of a really strong one.
And actually you're just trying to figure out ways to get off it because you're like, I can't rely on this.
You know, you can't.
You're not designed to the joy.
Speaker 3
Of the Lord.
Speaker 2
Is your strength so you allow the peace of God just to into your spirit.
Suddenly your body becomes stronger.
Speaker 4
The Bible says a.
Speaker 2
Spirit of a man sustains him through sickness.
Speaker 4
It but.
Speaker 2
A dried up spirit crushes the bones.
Speaker 4
So you don't understand that How?
Speaker 2
Satan is trying to itch your way at your your spirit itch your way, make you weak, make you like, oh, I can't do this.
I just can't do it.
And then your brain is going I can't do it.
I can't do it.
I can't do it.
I can't do it.
Then it's just sending signals for your whole body shut down, shut down, shut down.
We can't do it.
Red alert SOS.
We can't do it.
We can't.
I think just I pray and declare.
Speaker 3
That that will never.
Speaker 2
Be you that you will be strong, you will know your God and you will carry out great exploits in Jesus name.
Speaker 4
And you feel like.
Speaker 2
Yeah, but the pastor's just trying to encourage people.
But I am Yes but.
Speaker 3
Preaching.
Speaker 2
The word it, it goes into your spirit and it it wakes you up.
It's like, why am I tolerating this nonsense?
Why what?
Why am I just accepting that that I don't have authority and control over my life when you really do?
Because Satan.
Speaker 3
Wants.
Speaker 2
You to believe it's everyone else.
The government had the the final say and your mum has the final say and your husband has the final say, your wife has Everyone has this say and your bodies are subject to whatever the world throws it in.
How about?
Speaker 5
I have been given all.
Speaker 2
Authority Matthew 28 So go therefore, and make disciples that I take.
Speaker 3
Authority.
Speaker 2
Over my body I take authority over my health and I declare health in Jesus name.
I declare your healing power, I declare your strength.
I declare everything that's not in line with your word.
Get in line, get in line now get the flippy line, get in line, get in line.
Be healed, be healed.
Be healed.
Be healed, be healed.
Speaker 4
Like if you're not going to get.
Speaker 2
It in your own spirit or you want someone else to come.
Speaker 4
Pastor, pray for me.
Speaker 2
I will pray for you.
I love praying for people.
I do it every week, but it's like something like I have to get this thing and and when my body starts trying to be another way, who does flip get?
Speaker 3
Get in line.
Speaker 2
This word, the Bible says it's strength to your bones.
Speaker 4
So your bones are feel.
Speaker 2
You know if your bones feel weak.
Speaker 3
You wake up, you oh, I see to go back to.
Speaker 5
Bed, you have your triple shot.
Speaker 2
Coffee and it's not enough.
Speaker 4
Then you have a.
Speaker 2
Triple shot, then a double shot straight after, and then a single shot and you're still sleepy.
Speaker 3
You think I'm?
Speaker 2
Going back to bed and now.
Speaker 4
That's what you have to say.
Speaker 2
To yourself.
You lift your spirit up, man, just spirit.
Speaker 4
Up.
Speaker 2
Just so I look, I look up to the hills from where my help comes from.
He's a maker of heaven and earth, He he.
Speaker 4
He could.
Speaker 5
Take my.
Speaker 2
Anxieties and fears away from me.
Speaker 4
He's perfect, love.
Speaker 2
Casts out of fear.
He created me for a purpose.
Speaker 4
He created.
Speaker 2
Me for a purpose, I'm not going to let Satan steal that purpose.
I'm not going to let fear steal that purpose.
I'm not going to let depression wake me up every day and, and, and feed me all the depressive thoughts and all the things that I'm scared of and all the things that I've got fear of now.
I'm not going to let this now wake up and and now that's going to become the flipping order of the day.
Speaker 4
The joy of the Lord.
Speaker 3
Is my strength.
Speaker 4
He's created me in Christ.
Speaker 2
Jesus for good work.
So we're predestined before the beginning of time.
I refresh, others I will.
I myself will be refreshed.
I bless others.
I myself will be blessed.
Speaker 4
You know, it's it's better.
Speaker 2
To give than to receive, the Bible says.
Speaker 4
You feel better.
Speaker 3
Giving.
Speaker 2
A car away than you would receiving one and some of you don't believe me do it.
Speaker 4
It's the greatest.
Speaker 2
Feeling in the world to bless someone with something significant that will change their lives.
It is.
And you just feel like, wow.
Speaker 4
It's like we.
Speaker 2
Sowed 25,000 lbs.
When we got the curse on building, I sowed it as a seed.
I wanted to sow it to another church that that we're trusting for it.
And I prayed about it and the Lord told me to sow it to the Poland Church.
And they just started a campus in Warsaw and the pastor did not know how the heck they're going to do it.
And then God spoke to my heart.
And I remember I was skiing at the time, it was Christmas, and I phoned him on FaceTime and I said, hey, Stackle, how are you, man?
And he was, oh, very good pasta.
Very good.
Speaker 4
And he said, I said listen.
Speaker 2
I've got something to tell you, man.
He's like, what's up?
I said.
We at CRC Manchester are giving you Poland 25,000 lbs.
And he was like.
Speaker 4
Well, well.
Speaker 5
I don't.
Speaker 2
Know what to say?
I'm not.
Don't say anything mate, just accept it.
Speaker 4
Here's our pass.
I didn't say.
Speaker 2
Thank you.
I'm not.
You don't need to say thank you.
I didn't do it for you.
I was actually.
Speaker 3
Doing it for.
Speaker 2
US.
Speaker 4
I was literally doing.
Speaker 2
It to open the supply line for the building.
That's why I was doing it because I was like, you reap what you say.
And I woke up this one morning with Mark 11/29 it says.
Speaker 4
Whatever you give up in.
Speaker 2
This life brother, sister, mother, father, house for.
Speaker 4
My sake and.
Speaker 2
The gospel sake in this lifetime you'll reap A hundredfold and in the one to come eternal life so I was like I just two 25,000 * 100 is 2.5 million, which is how much I'm trusting for so I was like this works the.
Speaker 4
Math is math.
Speaker 2
In sow the flipping seed and I'm saying like I did feel a cold sweat before I sewed it because I felt like it's everyone's money that we've all put in.
And I'm feeling like I'm making a call now on everyone's behalf.
But what gave me the confidence was the scripture to back it because then I'm like, oh, OK, because then what I'm doing then when I feel the pressure of like I'm making this decision, I just push it to God and say, well, you is your word.
It's now on you.
That's the type of life you need to live where you could put it back to God.
It's on you now.
Speaker 4
You said you're going.
Speaker 2
To provide so I don't look stupid.
You actually look stupid if you don't keep your words.
Speaker 4
I'm just preaching your words.
Speaker 2
Not my word.
So you're the one that's going to bring a hundredfold because that's what spoke to my heart.
Sow the seed.
So if it doesn't come, your problem, not mine.
And it is, and it will come.
You know what I mean?
And I felt the cold sweats.
Speaker 4
I felt, I felt.
Speaker 2
It I was like, jeez man, this is a lot, lot of money to just sow in one go.
Speaker 3
But we literally.
Speaker 2
Funded that like the start of their church.
So we now always have investment in, in Warsaw in Poland and people's lives are getting changed there.
And we're part of that, you know, and, and I can't wait till one day we can hear of the church that have bought a building and need £1,000,000 and we can just write the cheque and say Chelsea, Manchester gives you £1,000,000.
I'm not because I'm, I'm much more thinking about how we can sew it than how we can get it.
And then suddenly the Lord just sorts the rest out.
Speaker 4
And I remember.
Speaker 2
Anyway, after we gave it I felt so good man.
I felt like wow this is literally how life should be.
Should be blessing people, not always looking for blessing ourselves.
Speaker 4
So generosity.
Speaker 2
Is an open life stinginess is a closed life can I be honest everyone around you knows if you're stingy or generous, they.
Speaker 3
If if.
Speaker 2
You're going Nando's with them.
They already know.
Speaker 4
They already know you're.
Speaker 2
Never offering when.
Speaker 4
The bill comes they.
Speaker 2
Already know you're already there with your calculator.
Speaker 4
Right, everyone, we're.
Speaker 2
Going to pay £17.73 each.
OK.
Is there a tip included?
No.
Why?
Speaker 4
Well, you're not tip the.
Speaker 2
Waiter, man, or the waitress, You know what I'm saying?
But you're not.
Because you're stingy, that's why.
OK, Sorry.
Sorry.
We won't talk about that, son.
Unless you're a waiter or waitress.
You're thinking?
Come on, keep preaching passive.
Speaker 4
I I'm.
Speaker 3
Actually a.
Speaker 2
Waitress.
I work on tables 10 to 15 in this particular restaurant.
Speaker 4
But but my point.
Speaker 2
Is that people know already.
People know already what you like.
Why?
Because your whole life says what you are.
Speaker 4
And then you watch.
Speaker 2
People increase, and you think, yeah, but they are generous, Yeah, because the Bible's true.
As they refresh others, they themselves get refreshed and increased.
Speaker 4
So the way to level?
Speaker 2
Up in life is through generosity that people get stuck.
You can't figure out why you're not getting to the next level.
This is it.
Speaker 4
#2.
Speaker 3
The power of generosity.
Speaker 2
Generosity opens doors that stinginess could never open.
Speaker 4
Yeah, can I get a few more?
Speaker 2
Amens all right, that was better.
How Generosity Creates Opportunities and Miracles
OK.
Proverbs 1816.
A man's gift given in love or courtesy, makes room for him and brings him before great men.
Speaker 4
He's not talking about the gifts.
Speaker 2
That God has given you.
He's talking about giving gifts.
Speaker 4
A man that brings.
Speaker 2
A gift.
It makes room for him, and he puts him before great men.
Yeah.
Speaker 4
Alright, let's read it.
Speaker 2
In the new living.
Speaker 4
Because it says it.
Speaker 2
Beautifully giving a gift can open doors.
It gives access to important people.
Speaker 5
I like.
Speaker 2
Scripture, though, It's because it challenges people's stupid thinking.
Speaker 4
Well, you know.
Speaker 2
In the Kingdom, no one's important.
We're all just.
Speaker 3
Equally.
Speaker 2
Unimportant importance isn't about value, it's about you.
Speaker 3
Bring a gift.
Speaker 2
It opens doors and it puts you in front of important people.
Think about this because people like to say that Jesus was poor.
Speaker 4
Jesus was so poor.
Speaker 2
Because, he said I became.
Speaker 3
Poor.
Speaker 2
So you can be rich, that's what he.
Speaker 3
Said in the Bible.
Speaker 2
But actually when he was born, what did they bring him?
So he was actually rich.
How many poor people like have you?
Obviously you go to Manchester.
There's I actually noticed when I came with this, it seems like a homeless.
In fact, all our cities seem to have like a homeless problem.
Speaker 4
Which needs to be.
Speaker 2
Sorted from the top right?
Because then the addiction, all these things come in and you need the power of God to break all that.
Speaker 4
But.
Speaker 2
If you ever tried to give a poor person or a homeless person fiver or.
Speaker 4
A pound.
Speaker 2
And they've gone.
Oh, no, no, don't give it to me.
Give it to my treasurer.
They're just over there.
You've got a treasurer.
Hold on.
How much money have you got anyone?
No, no, so, so.
Poor people don't have treasurers.
So Jesus had a treasurer.
Guess what the Treasurer did?
Speaker 4
Looked after.
Speaker 2
We don't seem very clear on these things.
What did Jesus, Treasurer do?
Speaker 4
Looked after.
Speaker 2
The money which?
Speaker 4
Means there was.
Speaker 2
A significant amount.
He was stealing from it.
You know, if there's only three pieces of silver and you steal one, everyone's going to be like Judas, show me both hands.
Speaker 4
And he's like, no, guess which?
Speaker 2
Hand and then he does what my daughter does she.
Speaker 4
Swaps it when you guess.
Speaker 2
You get that hand sheet.
Speaker 4
Oh, I wonder what you just.
Speaker 2
Did you're genius?
Speaker 4
So there wasn't 3.
Speaker 2
Pieces of silver.
Speaker 4
There was a few.
Speaker 2
There was a lot and one of the richest women in the land travelled with Jesus and funded his ministry.
Didn't.
Speaker 4
She so it wasn't like he.
Speaker 2
Was like lacking.
They had a flow.
Speaker 4
So but you see like.
Speaker 2
When Jesus was born, gifts were brought to him, so there's something about honouring through a gift shows.
Speaker 3
Honour.
Speaker 2
And respect.
It's that you don't honour people by saying, hey, you know, we honour you, thank you.
That's not honour.
Honour is you bring a gift and you honour.
You're showing honour It, it speaks and it does something that opens up doors.
Speaker 4
That previously weren't.
Speaker 2
Open.
Speaker 3
Dude, can you?
Speaker 2
Do me a who who's trusting for a job or trying to get a job?
Is there anyone, there's a few people do this right?
Try this and just come back to me.
We can do a little experiment together.
First of all, I pray in Jesus name that you will get the job that you're believing for and.
Speaker 4
That all doors.
Speaker 2
Were open for you, but do this when you turn up to your interview.
Call me the gift.
Speaker 4
Bring a gift to the.
Speaker 2
Job interview just a small gift, a thoughtful thing, and see if it doesn't change the countenance of the interview.
Speaker 4
Just can you do that for me?
Speaker 2
Please.
Because I don't need a job.
You.
You.
You, my wife, you.
You interview people a lot, don't you?
Speaker 4
You.
You fire.
Speaker 2
People as well.
Speaker 4
Heartlessly.
And she's like.
Speaker 2
What did you do to us?
Fired two people.
She's got their heart in her mouth.
I'm like, babe, you have to.
Speaker 4
Do that but so if someone brought a.
Speaker 2
Gift to the interview, Wouldn't that like, wouldn't you think differently?
Wouldn't you think like, wow, that's that's quite a stand out person.
Like why are they doing that?
Speaker 4
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2
Instead of like, what can you give me?
What can you give me?
Here's something I brought to you and.
Speaker 4
Then when they said why did you?
Speaker 2
Bring the gift because I like to add to things.
I like to bless people.
I like to increase.
I brought something I'm not going to take from this company.
I'm going to add to it and they're like you got the job.
Speaker 4
And then?
Speaker 2
You just figure it out.
Speaker 4
When you've got the job.
I didn't.
Speaker 2
Realise it was like a.
Speaker 4
So give a.
Speaker 2
Giving a gift can open doors and it gives access to important people.
Speaker 4
And I've experiences.
Speaker 2
In my life where I've shown and doors have opened and I've realised that it's it's the gift that's made way.
Speaker 4
Can I show you an example?
Speaker 2
In the Bible.
Speaker 4
2 Kings 4.
Speaker 2
Verse 8.
Speaker 4
Elisha.
Speaker 2
And the woman from Shunam.
Everyone say shunam.
There is zero reason why I got you to say that other than just saying shunam.
Speaker 4
So one day.
Speaker 2
Elijah went to the town of One day we'll get there a wealthy.
Speaker 3
Woman here, I say.
Speaker 2
A wealthy woman.
Speaker 4
So women.
Speaker 2
Can.
Speaker 4
Be very.
Speaker 2
Wealthy.
Speaker 4
Thank you.
Speaker 2
She, a wealthy woman, lived there, and she urged him to come to a home for a meal.
Speaker 4
So this wealthy?
Speaker 2
Woman urged the.
Speaker 3
Man of God.
Speaker 2
To come to a house for a meal, yeah.
Speaker 4
After that.
Speaker 2
Whenever he passed that way, he would stop there for something to eat, she said to her husband.
I'm sure this man who stops in from time to time is a holy man of God.
So.
Speaker 4
He is a.
Speaker 3
So what?
Speaker 2
Happened here is she had an inkling this is a man of God.
So I'm going to get him to come to my house and eat because I feel like there's something, there's a blessing in blessing this this man.
Speaker 4
Elijah.
Speaker 2
You get what I'm saying?
So first of all, she's.
Speaker 3
Been.
Speaker 2
Generous by opening up her home and giving him food and now every time he comes she feeds him.
And she's probably making like good popscram, not like crackers, which is fine for starting on that board.
The charcuterie, whatever you call it, board.
Speaker 4
But we want a meal.
Speaker 2
Charcuterie.
We want a meal with meat and carrots and other things.
Speaker 4
So this is what she said.
Speaker 2
Right, she says, let's build a small room for him on the roof and furnish it with a bed, a table, a chair and a lamp.
Then he will have a place to stay whenever he comes by.
So has anyone ever built an extension in their house?
Anyone.
Speaker 4
No, we've got no.
Speaker 2
Extension people.
Speaker 4
Oh.
Speaker 2
Thank you, Catherine.
Speaker 4
Was it free?
No.
No.
Speaker 2
It wasn't free.
It cost money.
OK, we need more extension people.
OK, So yeah, if you want an extension, receive that now if you sow.
No, I'm joking.
Speaker 4
If you sow 1.
Speaker 2
1333 lbs.
Today I'm going to give you a gold pen and your extension is going to happen.
Speaker 4
That's why people.
Speaker 2
Think they like talking about these things because those nutters, but I won't let nutters stop the principles getting to the people because these things will change your life.
Speaker 4
So what you've?
Speaker 2
Got is this woman right?
She thinks he's a man of God.
She invites him for a meal.
She loobs her husband up and he's like, listen, I've got money.
I want to use some of it to to.
Basically this is the first hotel.
Speaker 4
She's made him a hotel.
Speaker 2
In her house, I want to make him a room so whenever he comes, he can stay in that room.
That's what you do in a hotel.
Speaker 4
So she's built him a.
Speaker 2
Hotel, the holy Hotel.
And now she's gave him a space to be and it cost her money.
I want to say money right now.
Now I've shared that scripture.
I'm going slow with it so that it gets in.
I've shared that scripture with you that says what?
Your gift will make room for you.
Yeah.
It'll put you before important people.
Elisha's the man.
I've got her.
Speaker 3
Gift.
Speaker 2
That's made way has brought him into her world.
But look at this.
Look what?
Speaker 3
Elisha says.
Speaker 2
Like this is.
Speaker 3
What your?
Speaker 2
Gift does it stirs a reaction in someone.
You get what I'm saying?
Look at this says.
Speaker 4
She said to her.
Speaker 2
Husband OK verse 11 One day Elijah returned to Shunham and he went to this upper room to rest.
Now it's interesting that he's actually sitting in.
Speaker 4
The place that she.
Speaker 2
Made available this.
Speaker 3
Is powerful.
Speaker 2
Man.
Speaker 4
He is sitting.
Speaker 2
In the very room that she built with her own money out of her generosity, and suddenly gets a thought.
What does she want?
What can I do for you?
Speaker 4
He said tell.
Speaker 3
The woman from Shunham.
Speaker 2
I want to speak with her when she appeared, Elijah said to Kahazi.
Tell her we appreciate the kind concern you've shown us.
What can we do for you?
Speaker 5
Do you get it so?
Speaker 2
There's a miracle that she manufactured through generosity.
Let's carry on reading.
Can we put in a good word for you?
To the king or to the commander of the army?
No, she replied.
My family takes good care of me.
Later, Elijah asked Ghazi.
So she.
Speaker 5
Says no.
Speaker 2
No, no, there's nothing you can do for me.
I'm fine, right?
Then later Elijah, he won't let it go.
Speaker 4
He's sitting there thinking but.
Speaker 2
We've got to do something for this woman.
This is what your gift does.
This is what generosity does it.
It causes people that have the power to bless.
Speaker 4
To not let up.
Speaker 2
Until you're blessed she doesn't have a son.
Speaker 4
And her husband is.
Speaker 2
An old man, any old man?
No, because we're all, we're all young.
If we're under, if we're under 80, we're young.
Speaker 4
So he said call her.
Speaker 3
Back again.
Speaker 4
Call her back.
Speaker 2
Again, Elijah told him when the Mormon returned.
Elijah said to her as she stood in the doorway.
Next year at this time, you'll be holding a son in your arms.
Speaker 4
No, my Lord.
Speaker 2
She cried.
A man of God, don't deceive me and get my hopes up like that.
So this was a very strong desire in her heart to have a son.
It's so strong that she was scared to vocalise it because she probably thinks it's absolutely impossible.
Speaker 4
Generosity.
Speaker 2
Do you get?
Speaker 5
That if she didn't.
Speaker 2
Make the room.
This scenario doesn't exist.
Speaker 4
It takes.
Speaker 2
Effort to build an extension.
Even in those days you need a vague plan.
You know you're going to write it out in the sand at least.
Like, OK, if we do that there, get that there, put that there, then you need the materials, then you need to go and hire the people to do it.
Speaker 4
It's effort.
Speaker 2
Her effort led to a miracle that she can't even verbalise that she wants.
It's the deepest desire in her heart that God is like, you're going to bless like that.
I'm going to make sure that you get the desires of your heart.
Bible says delight yourself and the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
But sure enough, the woman soon became pregnant.
Speaker 4
And at that time.
Speaker 2
The following year she had a son, just as Elijah had said.
The power of generosity.
You have to catch it because some.
Speaker 5
Of you.
Speaker 2
Us humans, people cry and moan and groan, but you don't understand that your future is in your seed.
It's in your generosity.
It's in the way that you honour the, the, the way that you proceed with your life, the way that you sow it.
It, it because you know, one of the persons called, Oh no, no, there's not bother doing that.
That's too much effort.
There's too much money.
We need the money.
You know, we're going Turkey.
We keep the money for Turkey.
We're going Greece, we're going Italy.
Well, we're.
Speaker 5
Going.
Speaker 2
Not Dubai.
You're not going to go there now, are you?
Speaker 4
Like pass a stake.
Speaker 2
From Poland, they got stuck in Doha for like 5 days.
Speaker 4
Had to get a taxi.
Speaker 2
To Riyadh, 8 hours in the desert and hope that the taxi was taking them to the airport.
Speaker 4
But he did so.
Speaker 2
He's alive, praise the Lord.
Speaker 4
We do, and it has too.
Speaker 2
Much effort.
Speaker 5
You're not going to put effort.
Speaker 2
Into your generosity a a generous man.
Devising Generous Plans for God's Work
Devises.
Speaker 2
Generous plans.
And it is generosity stands.
He plans generosity.
He plans to bless people.
He plans with what he has to give to others.
Speaker 3
And what he?
Speaker 2
Scatters increases more.
You'll never find a generous person staying in the same place.
Speaker 4
They they never.
Speaker 2
Digress.
And they never stay in the same place.
They increase and they multiply and they move forward.
And that's what we said at the beginning we all want.
Speaker 4
That's why I show the.
Speaker 2
Word because the sower shows the word.
There's power in the word.
That's why I don't show opinion and all this stuff.
I show the word.
That's why my life is blessed because I show the word like without compromise.
I sow the word without any like pre manufactured idea.
Does that make sense?
So I don't, I don't think oh this is what I want from people to happen in the church.
So let me find scriptures to back up what I want.
I get scripture and ask the Lord, put it in my heart what you want to say.
Then I get the scriptures and I put them together and then I preach the scriptures.
Speaker 4
And then then you don't care.
Speaker 2
About what people think or not.
Do you know what I mean?
Like people's like, well, I think he's talking about generosity because he wants more money for the church.
I said this on Tuesday night.
I said if you think I'm preaching about generosity and I want more money for the church, you're absolutely right.
Speaker 4
I do want more money for.
Speaker 2
The church.
I couldn't want anything more in my life than every church in this land to be financially flowing like never before.
Speaker 4
Literally.
Speaker 2
Why wouldn't you want that for the House of God to be flowing and and purchasing and building, buying land, building on land places the House of God from where God speaks, where people come, where families come, where people come and meet and get married together, where people get healed from sickness in this little room, in this little room, do you how many people have been healed from sickness?
People have have walked down the aisle and said I do right here in this house.
There's one couple, there's the other couple at the back waving.
Speaker 4
Renewed your vows.
Speaker 2
Here.
Speaker 4
I said to someone else.
Speaker 2
You get married quickly in this building before we leave it.
Speaker 4
The house have got an.
Speaker 2
Awesome place.
I read that that plaque the great grandson came to this church once.
AJW Tozer.
What's it?
What's the name J?
Speaker 4
Swan.
Speaker 2
J Swan says we built this building for the glory of God.
Speaker 4
And that's what we prayed.
Speaker 2
Over this building, it's building for the glory of God.
So we're going to.
Speaker 3
Use it for the.
Speaker 2
Glory of God.
Speaker 4
But do you know like?
Speaker 2
It costs money to build buildings.
Like these guys got money from somewhere and said, you know what?
And you know that this is just the children's church.
The actual church was next door, which is now housing.
It was next door that was the big 500 seat church and this was what they used for the children's church.
Speaker 4
That takes faith.
Speaker 2
And generosity and finances, that's like generations that aren't even born yet are going to either walk into God's power because of our generosity, or they're not going to be able to find a church.
They're just going to find flipping mosques everywhere.
Speaker 4
That's why don't.
Speaker 2
Like this.
Like do not man.
Speaker 4
Do not withhold.
Speaker 2
Your life from the work of God.
Speaker 3
And.
Speaker 4
Think that.
Speaker 2
Your personal needs are all that matters, but I'm sorted, my mortgage is paid, I've got my car, I'm sorted, I don't need anything else.
It's not about needing other things, it's about expanding and blessing others.
Speaker 4
Writing cheques to.
Speaker 2
People that need a breakthrough, someone could be trusting for 1000 lbs with their whole life and you, you could show that to them today and it could cause them to to to never leave God in their whole life because they just think wow I can't believe God answered my prayer like this but your ears are too closed.
Speaker 4
You sit there thinking like.
Speaker 2
You know I've only got 100,000 lbs in my savings account.
Speaker 4
Let me tell you if one.
Speaker 2
Pound can't make you feel secure. 1,000,000 little 1 lbs ain't going to make you feel secure.
Speaker 4
I mean there, there, there.
Speaker 2
Is an element to security that comes through having finance because you can have none and then you quickly feel the the fragility of it all.
Speaker 3
You get what I'm saying?
Speaker 4
But these things need to be.
Speaker 2
Understood, and it has to be understood to have the mentality to build.
Speaker 4
Generosity.
Speaker 2
For building.
Speaker 5
Just make a note.
Speaker 2
Of that what I just said.
No, my wife, just another sermon just dropped in my spirit.
Speaker 4
But it's like you've got.
Speaker 2
People have to understand our resources have to come together for the work of God to expand.
Speaker 4
And our lives will.
Speaker 2
Then be refreshed and expand, and then we will always have plenty.
Like 2 Corinthians 8-9 says, you'll always have plenty leftover and God will create a rich harvest of generosity.
And you said that you can always be generous, which is God's will for us to always be generous.
Speaker 4
We're not here to.
Speaker 2
Kill people that don't believe in God.
We're not here to get Christians that were once in church that leave and behead them.
Speaker 4
We're here to love.
Speaker 2
People, man.
Speaker 4
There's not a religion.
Speaker 2
On this earth that can claim that they're connected to the living, loving, creating God, that says if you don't follow this religion, we're going to kill you.
Speaker 4
You're going to kill the.
Speaker 2
Person that God created because they don't follow your stupid, twisted, perverted, paedophilic ways.
Speaker 4
And I say paedophilic.
Speaker 2
Because Mohammed is a paedo.
Speaker 4
I know it's true.
You're not.
You're not going to.
Speaker 2
Win with Haiti in this world.
Speaker 4
It's not going to.
Speaker 2
Work it's not going to work Tapped, not going to work.
The love of God is what leads people to repentance.
The goodness of God.
God is a.
Speaker 3
Good God he.
Speaker 2
Loves people He loves you has a plan for you cares about you.
The Bible says he cares about every detail of your life He cares about your marriage.
He cares about your health.
He cares about your work.
He cares about your resources.
He cares about your children.
He cares about your feelings.
He cares about your emotions he cares about your health.
Everything he cares, he.
Speaker 4
Cares about.
Speaker 2
You and he loves you and he has a plan for you.
Wisdom, Riches, and Fame from God
So one last example.
Speaker 2
And then we'll pray. 1 Kings 3.
Solomon loved the Lord.
Speaker 4
Very important.
Speaker 2
Line Solomon loved the Lord, and he followed all the decrees of his father David, except that Solomon too offered sacrifices and burned the incense at the local places of worship.
The most important of these places was at Kibbean, so the king went there and sacrificed 1000 burnt offerings.
Speaker 4
The normal number.
Speaker 2
Of burnt offerings to sacrifice was 7 so.
Speaker 4
He's 900.
Speaker 2
And 93 over.
But do you see that first line?
Solomon loved the Lord, so he wanted to do extravagant things to God.
It's extravagant, seed, extravagant, blessing extravagant.
He wanted to do something extravagant.
Speaker 4
That night.
Speaker 2
The Lord appeared to him.
What was the Proverbs scripture that I shared earlier?
Your gift will make room for you and put you in front of important people.
This one put him in front of God.
Do you understand?
She says, I know the Lord appeared Solomon in dream and God said what do you want?
The same thing that Elijah said to the Shanomite woman, what does she want?
Your gift.
Speaker 3
Causes God to wonder what he.
Speaker 2
What did you want?
Speaker 4
Ask and I'll give it.
Speaker 2
To you.
Speaker 4
Solomon replied.
You showed.
Speaker 2
Great and faithful love to your servant, my father David, because he was honest.
Speaker 4
And true and faithful.
Speaker 2
To you and you've continued to show this great and faithful love to him today by giving him a son to sit on his throne.
Now, O Lord, my God, you've made me king instead of my father David.
But I'm like a little child who doesn't know his way around.
Speaker 4
And here I am in the.
Speaker 2
Midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted.
Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong.
For who by.
Speaker 3
Himself.
Speaker 2
Is able to govern this great people of yours.
The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom.
So God replied, because you've asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice, and I've not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies, I will give you what you asked for.
I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have.
Speaker 4
And I will also.
Speaker 2
Give you what you did not ask for riches and fame.
Say riches and fame.
No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life.
Speaker 4
Which is fine because.
Speaker 2
He was like a trillionaire.
So we've still got space to go into like millionaire, billionaire vibes.
Solomon brings 1000 burnt offerings.
That night God appears to him.
Do you think that's a coincidence?
Why didn't he appear to other people?
And he said, what do you want?
Because it wasn't like Solomon was trying to get something from God.
Solomon loved the Lord and because he loved the Lord, he was pouring out to the Lord.
He was like, I just need, I need to do more.
I need to sow more.
I need to just show God how much I love it.
Like what can I do, Lord?
Speaker 3
And he said.
Speaker 2
When you give me 1000 burnt offerings, he gives 1000 burnt offerings, God turns up.
And then when God asked him, what do you want, he doesn't come with this grabby mentality.
Well, you can you just give me like a Lamborghini Urus, I'd be fine.
Speaker 4
If you give me a Lamborghini.
Speaker 2
You know, so everyone will think I'm like, really cool.
Speaker 4
And they are cool cars.
Speaker 2
But he didn't ask for that.
He said give me wisdom, give me the knowledge to lead your people and know the difference between right and wrong because it's wow.
You ask for wisdom, you're going to get wisdom, but you're going to get what you didn't ask for.
When you live a life of generosity to God, you get what you don't even ask for.
Goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life, all the days of your life.
So you said I'm going to give you riches and fame.
That's why when people like these woke modern people, pastory people that have podcasts and things which some of them should just be barred from, they're like, you know, we're we're against the popularity gospel and you know, fame.
We're not trying to be fame.
Famous is only one name that can be famous, and that's the name of Jesus.
Jesus said Abraham, I'll make your name famous.
Abraham didn't turn around and say no, Jesus, don't make my name famous.
You know, I'm too, I'm too humble.
I'm too fake humble for that.
Speaker 4
God used his.
Speaker 3
Riches and fame.
Speaker 2
To expand his Kingdom.
Let me show you this scripture.
I think it's what is it?
It's not Galatians.
The last scripture, James 116.
Speaker 4
It says do not.
Speaker 2
Be deceived.
That's good advice, my beloved brethren.
Every good and every good gift and every perfect gift is from where above.
Speaker 4
And it comes down.
Speaker 2
From the father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Speaker 4
Right.
So where?
Speaker 2
Did the riches and fame come from for for, for Solomon?
From who?
I need you to say it a bit louder.
Came from God and what?
Speaker 3
Is the Bible.
Speaker 2
Saying James one, everything that comes from God is good.
Speaker 4
And there's no shadow.
Speaker 2
Or variation.
He's not like, oh, you know, one day it's good, one day it's bad, one day it's good, one day it's bad, one day it's good, one day it's bad.
He's saying there's certain people that can be rich and wealthy and they're the type of people that don't want to be and don't care for and people that really want it and get it, it will destroy them.
But to say that it's wrong is unbiblical.
Speaker 4
That's why I'm trying to break.
Speaker 2
From like this, the mentality like even it like I'll come from London, I came up to Manchester.
There's a total different mentality between London and Manchester.
I can tell you that.
It's like and 100 times anyone from London now.
Speaker 4
You'll get over it.
Speaker 2
Sorry, sorry that you have to be from London but the north is 1000 times better.
I don't care what anyone says, they're stooping NS the north winds.
Speaker 4
And everyone knows that because let.
Speaker 2
Me tell you, you don't find many northerners down South, you find more up north because it's better.
Alright?
Anyway, sorry, London's a great place, A great city, woo.
Speaker 5
Sorry, Keller, I know.
Speaker 2
I know you lived your whole life there, but Manchester's better.
But you can pick up the mentality, man.
I picked up immediately when I went.
I lived in town and I had a home sale in town and the parking stops at 8:00 but home sale starts at half seven so you have to pay for half an hour's parking and it's like 2 lbs right?
People were sitting in their cars till 8:00.
What are you doing in your car?
No, I'm just waiting for the parking.
Speaker 3
Do you need?
Speaker 2
£2 I will give you 2 lbs.
No, but it's the principal man.
I'm not paying £2.
Do you think everyone's trying to RIP you off by charging you for parking and people weren't driving down because you have to pay £5 for parking down?
I'm thinking this is one day.
I drove into central London with my wife.
I parked just off Oxford Street and and I paid £45 for I think 2 hours.
Yeah.
And all the only other cars there was my second third hand Nissan Qashqai that didn't work because the DPF Philtre was gone.
And then just Lamborghinis and Porsches and G waggons and I thought, I want to go and experience what I want to think like them for a minute.
I'm not going to try and like buy things that I can't get, but I just want to go and go to a car park and pay £40 and not let it bother me.
Just get on with my day.
And you know what?
I'm still alive today.
Speaker 4
It didn't kill.
Speaker 2
Me.
We didn't get kicked out of our flat.
Speaker 4
It irritated.
Speaker 2
Me and I don't advise it.
I think it's stupid.
Speaker 4
We didn't eat beans on.
Speaker 2
Toast.
Speaker 4
We didn't eat beans on toast.
Speaker 2
You would never eat beans on toast.
Speaker 5
You'd see too.
Speaker 3
Posh.
Too posh to be privileged?
Speaker 4
So but my point.
Speaker 2
Is that I was trying to break a mentality that had got on me in my life and I just wanted to break it, wanted to break it.
I wanted to just be like why can't you just go and drive in?
It's not congestion on Saturday because then you would have had to pay an extra £12, so I was.
Speaker 3
Like it's Saturday.
Speaker 2
I'm driving you in central London and it's like, oh, Steve.
And I'm like, no, let's go.
Let's go and get like a meal in London.
I'm driving, I'm parking.
I'll park where I want and I'll pay whatever it costs to park there.
Speaker 4
And and that's what Rich.
Speaker 2
People do.
They do whatever they want.
That's where the that's you.
People say money can't buy happiness.
Things can never make you happy, but freedom is a great thing.
And people, it's like, yeah, you want to go there, OK, we can go there, but you want to do that.
Yeah, we can do that.
It's like you can just bless.
That's what abundance is.
Authentic Faith and Building God's House
Jesus said I've come to to give you life and life more abundantly.
So I'm not saying in any way you should never pick up from what I'm teaching you on generosity that you should ever pursue or like have this deep desire for riches and wealth.
It's not, that's not what it is.
It's an understanding who my father is and who I am and what's rightfully mine.
God has promised every blessing that you put on.
Abraham is mine through faith in Jesus Christ.
Well, Abraham was very rich in silver livestock.
Gold in many, many ways.
Speaker 4
The rich in.
Speaker 2
Every metric possible.
Speaker 4
And no one ever thought, oh boy.
Speaker 2
Does Abraham have all those cattle?
Speaker 3
Where does?
Speaker 2
Abraham have that, but you know the children of Israel were in 400 years of slavery 4.
Speaker 4
100 years of.
Speaker 2
Slavery, beaten, whipped, all sorts men eating like the the the the worst scran, bottom of the barrel scran.
Speaker 4
They left Egypt.
Speaker 2
Billionaires.
Speaker 4
Because God said.
Speaker 3
Take all of.
Speaker 2
Pharaoh's wealth, and they took it all with them, all the gold, all the silver.
It's called the transfer of wealth.
Speaker 4
It got transferred.
Speaker 2
God absolutely took the richest nation, got all their wealth, carried its people, and they walked into the desert with it, with all the wealth.
Speaker 4
You know, and it like if that.
Speaker 2
Was today.
But why does?
Why do they need?
Speaker 3
All.
Speaker 2
That why do churches need to have these big buildings you walk on these little small buildings, Yeah, these little small buildings that make no impact in the city that everyone could just then keep in a in a little box and ignore.
Why don't you go and tell that to to Jim Ratcliffe?
Speaker 4
Or the the.
Speaker 2
Oil money that Man City keep using and spending what?
Speaker 4
Do you mean what?
Speaker 2
Man City like an oil money club, OK.
Speaker 4
Sorry, I didn't I.
Speaker 2
Didn't mean to talk about football like that, but.
Speaker 4
Go and tell Jim.
Speaker 2
Ratcliffe when when they revealed the new £3 billion Old Trafford Stadium and and go and tell him, listen Jim, we don't need big stadiums.
We could just have lots of little stadiums.
Speaker 4
Why can't 100?
Speaker 2
People just watch the game.
Speaker 4
You know, you're you're.
Speaker 2
Paying hundreds of pounds to go and watch someone who gets paid about 200 to 300,000 lbs a week.
Speaker 4
To basically play.
Speaker 2
If you're a United player, one game a month, do you know what I mean?
And you're, you're actually spending your hard earned dollar, your hard earned.
Speaker 3
Cash.
Speaker 2
To go and shout at them while you're eating Doritos.
Speaker 4
As if like you could.
Speaker 2
Do better, but the whole thing is messed up.
You're sitting in a stadium that costs billions.
Speaker 4
Thinking it's totally fine.
Speaker 2
But you walk into a church, some people will.
Speaker 3
Walk.
Speaker 2
Into the Curzon when we finish the refurbishment and go, oh, does it really need to be this fancy?
Speaker 4

Speaker 2
You, you you build your luxury houses.
Haggai 1 you build your luxury.
Speaker 3
Houses, but my house lies.
Speaker 2
In ruins.
Why'd you do that to me?
Why'd you live that way?
Wait, wait.
All your stuff is luxury and everything's about you and all your stuff and what you want and everything.
And my house lies in ruins.
Speaker 4
And now if that was.
Speaker 2
Written in 2026, it would add and gets turned into mosque.
Speaker 4
Why do you think all the?
Speaker 2
Churches have to sell all their buildings because they can't afford to run them.
Speaker 4
Because their preacher.
Speaker 2
Stopped preaching the gospel.
That's why there's people in the room today, because you want to hear the gospel, you want to hear the truth, You want to experience the power of God.
If your life's not right with God, you want to come to a place where you can get right with God if you're sick.
Speaker 3
You want to come?
Speaker 2
To a place where you can get healed.
You don't.
Speaker 5
Want to come to a?
Speaker 2
Dead place.
They preach for 10 minutes, 15 minutes put you to sleep.
Speaker 4

You are Jesus.
You need to know God's in there like you need to know bro.
Speaker 4
I said, but I haven't got my.
Speaker 2
What would Jesus do, brother?
I don't know what I would do.
Speaker 4
Then he looks at it and he goes, I know what Jesus would.
Speaker 2
Do.
Speaker 3
Jesus would go and.
Speaker 2
Build a whip.
Speaker 4
And he would whip people.
Speaker 2
With it, see, my mum's like, no, he didn't whip people.
Speaker 4
She'll say, now we're.
Speaker 2
Having lunch, she'll say, Steve, you shouldn't say that.
Jesus whip people.
OK, you get what I'm saying?
Embrace Your True Self and Accept Jesus
Be yourself, be authentic, be generous, be real.
I'm telling you, the more centred you get to the word and to yourself, the more power flows.
You don't even.
Speaker 3

Speaker 3
Power.
Speaker 4

Speaker 2
You're trying to be someone and say that, well, how?
How does a pastor talk?
Speaker 3
Then you're.
Speaker 2
Going to end up like all the other pastors that have ever existed.
Speaker 5
You're.
Speaker 4
Not like everyone.
Speaker 2
Else you're different.
Speaker 4
To to work.
Speaker 2
With what you have.

Authentic version that God made you and become all that God has called you to be.
Preach.
Speaker 3
With passion.
Speaker 2
To people, pray with passion for people, have energy for people don't always.
Speaker 3
Be.
Speaker 2
Too tired for someone?
Speaker 4
No, I don't feel like.
Speaker 2
Having so and so over tonight, have so and so over and pray for them.
If someone in church looks hungry, like one of these guys bachelor vibes and you're just looking at them.
Like you know when someone just looks hungry, you look at them and you're just you're giving hunger.
Speaker 4
Invite them.
Speaker 2
Over and give them a Sunday roast.
Speaker 4
Because.
Speaker 2
I got.
Speaker 3
Saved.
Speaker 2
Because of a family that gave me Sunday roast, they.
Speaker 4
Invited me round.
Speaker 2
Every Sunday I went hungover.
Close your ears, Mom.
I was doing all sorts of stuff the night before and they would take me to church and I only went because I was getting a Sunday roast.
Speaker 4
And I got that Sunday.
Speaker 2
Roast and it was top tier Sunday roast.
They lived in this mansion in Charles Field in London or Kent.
And they fed me up, man.
And they're the ones that brought me to CRC.
They're the ones that allowed the seed that got planted in my heart.
And then I came back a year and a half later saying I don't know why I need to go to this church, but I need to go to this church.
And I and I came back.
Speaker 4
Were you in the mermaid?
Speaker 2
Were you still still there in the mermaid?
Yeah, in 2007.
So you would have been there when I got saved then?
Speaker 4
The mermaid in black.
Speaker 2
Friars.
Speaker 4
Crazy man, that's where I got saved.
Speaker 2
And it was a day that South Africa playing rugby and everyone was just wearing rugby tops.
Speaker 4
Yeah, in these.
Weird.
Speaker 2
Shorts, man.
Speaker 3
I I'll tell you a story before we pray.
Speaker 2
I went to South Africa and we went to this, like this farm and this, these, these men farmers, right?
And I had earrings in, Yeah, at the time.
And so basically these guys were not saved, but they were wearing shorts, denim shorts, where the pocket of the shorts goes below the short line.
Now, the only person I've ever seen wear shorts like that were my cousins who were girls in America because they were into these really short like shorts.
So I'll go there and I'm looking at them thinking, no, that's gay, man.
I was like, that is the gayest thing I've ever seen in my life, man.
You can't be wearing so.
But you know what happened?
They spent the whole night taking the Mickey out of me in Afrikaans, which I can kind of understand about my earrings, that like, who's this like gay English man, this Morpheta, It's got earrings and all this stuff.
And I, and so my, my, my, my friends who were pastors were like, Steve, just ignore them.
They're drinking, They're out of control.
Just ignore them.
And he said, no, they were rinsing your, your earrings and stuff.
I'm like, yeah, it's funny that they were rinsing my earrings while they're wearing hot pants.
Speaker 4
I was like, I've never.
Speaker 2
Seen anything like it, man?
But anyway, so that's what the farmers wear.
And if you go, you'll see it and and and usually their belly hangs over.
Speaker 4
To their knees.
Speaker 2
It's a very interesting scenario.
I'm a I'm a lion.
I'm a lion.
Have I offended any S Africans?
No.
Yeah, but you're always offended with me.
You're not allowed to get it's it's not wife's Day.
It's Mother's Day.
You're not my mum, you're my wife.
Life is made to enjoy.
Things will knock you down, things will be difficult, but if you have joy and a strong spirit, a generous spirit, you will stand in your generosity.
No one would like the Bible actually says to be generous with what you have because when a tough time comes, everyone you helped will come and help you.
I'm telling you, man, God has a great future for your life and He's going to bless.
It's going to bless your life.
It's going to bless your future.
It's going to bless it.

Just as a farmer must sow seed to reap a harvest, spiritual principles require action. God's laws, like seedtime and harvest, govern the earth regardless of belief, and generosity operates as a spiritual law that brings increase.
The Bible teaches that laziness leads to poverty, while working with your hands leads to wealth. God blesses the work of our hands, emphasizing diligence and reliance on Him as our source, not on external systems like government.
