The transcript covers a mix of pop culture, love island drama, and personal commentary. It begins with the breakup of Nick and Nikolandria, described as amicable but criticized for Nick's opaque public statements. Love Island updates reveal tensions, especially involving Kenny’s claims of manipulation and racism, and Casey and T.D.’s alleged racial bias. The discussion shifts to the film *The Odyssey*, where viewers praise standout performances by Samantha Morton and Elliot Page but criticize casting and modern humor. The conversation also explores mental health, referencing BetterHelp’s data on therapy stigma, and personal skincare routines, with a focus on Atrium’s effective products. A strong basketball segment highlights Lebron James’ move to Philadelphia, its symbolic significance, and the WNBA all-star weekend’s inclusive, queer-friendly vibes. The conversation ends with critique of political figures like West Wilson for transphobic remarks and a call for public accountability. Throughout, the hosts emphasize empathy, community, and the importance of open dialogue, especially around identity, relationships, and mental wellness. A final nod to a YouTube comment exchange underscores the need for men to be allies in supporting women’s voices and experiences.
Have you read the news? The second tower has been hit. Yep. The morning show has been canceled. Can you believe it? Can you believe it? You are so stupid. Tell them what really happened. If they don't already know. That is what really happened. Hunter. Okay. Also, Nikolandria broke up, I guess. What? There's no way. There's no way. You are so. They're gonna kill me. Okay. Well, yes. People magazine, how to story, sources close to, which if it's in people, it's always a publicist. We're adults. We know that by now. Anyway. Yeah. So that they were broken up. And it was amicable. Mm-hmm. And then I saw. I thought Nick put out a statement too. Yeah. On his. On his. Whatever. Interim that you have to pay for. TikTok you have to pay for. Whatever that tier is. Sure. He said that, like, it's all love, you know. They're putting a statement behind a pay. Well, classy. No, I mean. And that's. You know what? That's an entrepreneur. Yeah. He don't play about his paper. And he doesn't play about Nikolandria. Sad to lose lovers in a time like this. Well, but then people were kind of trying to pack up Alandria. Did you see people. Already? Yeah. Yeah. It was actually, like, people found like a bunch of old clips of her talking about, like, you know, how their love was going to heal the world or whatever. And I feel bad because they're both just young. Like, yeah. Even if they say, you just sound like, okay, young person. How old are they? Like mid-20s, maybe? Maybe at best mid-20s. Yeah. Which, you know, we don't believe in people under the age of 27. Or I don't know if that's true for you, too. I tend to not. I support them from afar. Yeah. Support the troops. And I mean 27-year-olds and under. But that's it. I love Nikolandria. I am happy that they are, you know, separately happy. That they're seeing a couple. Yes, there seems to be no bad blood. I think if you've seen the writing on the wall for a while. Right. I am fearful of the mass psychosis that happens around love island couples. Yeah. And I really hope the same kind of feather. Feather? Is that easy? Does it? Ferver. Ferver. Great word. Learning it. Right now, actually. I set myself up. Every episode. No, no. That's it. Thank God I look like my mom today. But it happens to Brindity. I don't want that Brindity, Brice and Trinity. Yeah. I don't want that to. I mean, they had a people announcing maybe the same week, right? Didn't they do a photo shoot? Yeah. I don't think that photo shoot. I know. It's people. I know. But it looked very just like Dillard's catalog, too. I know. They really were set up by that people photographer. Not the first time. Anyway. I don't know. I don't know. I wish them the best. And who else I wish the best? Who? Myself. It's Leo Season. You heard it here first. And I actually have some show and show. I know. I'm your broadened object into the space with us. I'm nervous. What is it? That's what, too. Two objects. Oh, over two. Well, first clip or kid looking at us. Oh, my God. All right. Well, like I said, it's Leo Season. And what do I have here? New York magazine. Searching for Leo Leo DiCaprio covered by Nancy Joe Sales. This is the story that introduced the term pussy posse to the world. So this is-- A relic. One of my most prized possessions. That's beautiful. Oh, you-- I thought you got that special-- Like, you've just had that. You just brought it in from home to-- Yeah, I just brought it in from home to show people. Because it's Leo Season. Oh, my God. And this is Leo. I just saw a younger you. And I would have loved to babysit you. I would have locked you in a closet eventually. And then, like, I just need an hour. Okay. I just need the chokey. Okay, Ms. Ann again. Yes, absolutely. When you have mercy. Can I show them first and second? I'm sorry. Second show and tell. Thank you. Clipboard kit. Okay, so it was in the-- So Leo Season. Whitney Houston on the cover. Vibe magazine. Great. Great. Pixie. That's people take notes. That's how you take a pic. Yes. Whitney Houston, as-- I mean, sure of the class. You still know this. Leo, more August 9th. So who is-- That's who? Me. She is my favorite-- second favorite Leo. Yeah. That's what I'm supposed to say. Sorry. Well, you guys are twins, twin and them, so-- True. Really, it's two and one. True. And favorite. Bisexual. I DM Hunter a photo of Whitney Houston and Robin Kroff. Wait, what's the last time? I think Kroffert. Robin. Famously Lovers, by the way. And every once in a while, but it's true. Okay. I know what one I see it. Being like us if we scissored. Seen. Just. Seen. What am I supposed to respond to that? I know. You genuinely tell me what am I supposed to respond to that. Plink, clink, clink, bumpers, or at least this is the scissor emergency. So anything. I was like, okay, trying to connect with my straight friend. That's what-- that's what-- Me when I sent you all that astrology stuff. That was-- I sent you several astrology videos that helped me-- She sent me seven reels of Leo's. It was just like-- and this is what's to know about Leo. And this is why Leo's like-- I was like, girl. God, for what I try to connect with your culture. Unconnect. Hold the plug. Okay, so we have a lot on the docket. We do. A lot has come across my desk. We're talking about the Odyssey. A little movie, if you heard of it. Indie. We're talking about basketball. WMBA. Back. Skin. And we're also talking about a few men on mics. Just a few. A few media tours from the love island. Some good, some bad, mostly bad. I'm going to say all bad. Yeah, I'm going to actually be brave enough to say that. But yeah. And I'll really quickly just open this up with the KJ Apple of it all. Please tell me. Okay, so KJ Apple went on Dylan Sprouse, his podcast, which I will say I did not know existed until yesterday. To talk, kind of like broadly about whatever. But specifically, he had mentioned just like all of his addiction issues. And specifically, this quote that went viral was about him talking about having even addiction to food and like ordering a ton of McDonald's. And then pissing on it. And then later like eating it again, because that's like addictive. His personality was around anything, including food. And so many people, I just, I saw a lot of alarming responses to like someone talking really candidly about how addiction actually looks. Guess what? It doesn't look like beautiful boy starring Timothy Chalamet with no acne. You know, I'm like, I don't know. Maybe it came from people who like have not had addicts in their family or friend groups. But I thought it was alarmingly moving from someone, again, KJ Apple. Never really think about him. Didn't watch that show. The jingle jangle kind of scared me, even though I would do a hit. But yeah, I was just really moved by him being so transparent about it. And I, I don't know, I like to end up watching the full podcast. It's not a podcast for me. But I did watch the full episode. Did find out that the person that helped him get sober though was James Franco. Hmm. Like James, what? Bazaar. Happy. That does remind me though. I remember reading this Ben Affleck quote a couple years ago about how he said that sometimes he regrets talking so openly about his symbolism because that's like the only thing people will think of like asking him about. Oh, yeah. And, but that he doesn't ultimately regret it. That like if he can help people, that's, but you know, it's, it's, it must be very hard to be like vulnerable and really discuss as you're saying. Yeah. The ins and outs of like what it actually looks like and then have on people be like. What? Like rose? I'm like, that's what you took away from me. Like that is crazy to me. But I don't know. Not a podcast for me won't be tuning in after that. Yeah. Shout out to Dylan though. I always liked you a little bit more than Cole. But there are some words. Who's the one married to Barbara? Uh, them. Who was the one in that MMA movie? Nope. Who owned the metery? Nope. Okay. Well. Cole's one that spoke the cigarette on call daddy. That's a nice line. Oh, okay. So Dylan is one that I think he about. Yeah. Um, well, I have a little bit more about some love Island updates. Um, Kenny from love Island season seven. Yeah. The PPG season was Serena. Yeah. Cordell. Uh, yes. Who used to date Janae? Yeah. He went on a podcast. Had nothing good to say. Oh, hell. Yeah. So Kenny went on some podcast, don't know who, and was talking about his side of their breakup. And he said that they were fighting every single day multiple times a day that they were really miserable together. Um, that he felt sort of manipulated and that she would call around to his family, trying to get to him. Because he like didn't talk to her for three days one time. I'm like, so this is not making you look anymore mature. Right. Um, then he said that he, Kenny alleged that Janae took his phone. Went through it. So he took her phone and he was like, that's the only time I did something bad. It was like when I took her phone and then she looked through his phone, got really mad. And a natural follow up you would think it would be all right. So what did she find on your phone? Right. To make her react. Yes. Not asked one single time. He's against it starts crying. Kenny does. But tears never come out of his eyes, though. And I know a few and I'll name them. A few people are really good at weaponizing some fake tears. I'm like, wait. It's dry. But that should I say who? Nope. A DMer and she'll tell you after that. I keep doing that and people actually DM me. I'm like, wait, what? Hold me accountable. It's crazy. Um, wait. I honestly just forgot. He was saying racist things about her, right? Yes. And just racist things in general. Yes. I mean, this is what, uh, sort of when I lean from social, from Reddit, from the like sort of vague post from PPG is that he was. Like docking her out as family, basically, like complaining about how he has to be like with her. And it was like all fake. He doesn't want to be with her anymore. Um, and what he did say in the podcast, though, was.
that there's no way he could have been truly racist because he's dated and been friends with black people in the past. Yeah, famous works every time. And then I saw, he was in some, I don't know, I don't know the street, whatever, and all the women were like, we're average and we're not here for you, really. And you know what he did? This is how you know he's a demon sent from hell. Sure. He said, "To the women?" Yeah. So in the one hilarious, on the other hand, how dare you even look at me with that expression on your face. Oh my God. I set a version of this, like maybe like a season or two ago, of let me say this podcast, wherever you get your podcast, but I, in a weird way, and pro going through the phone, I don't do that. I don't support it, but I do think you already have your answer. If you're thinking about going through someone's phone, you usually already have your answer about that relationship, especially if you're a woman, a woman's intuition. And that's your toxic muscle as being. But aside from that, it tells you everything you need to know and the action alone was like, that's indicative of your relationship. So I'm not like, anti it in that way. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like she had the right thing, like she was thinking. Yeah, I mean, there was stuff for her on that phone to find. A few things, I guess. The funniest part though, is that Kenny Cron, Cron, all the tears says, you know, I could be somewhere beautiful. I could be in France. I could be in Canes. Yeah, he says he could be in Raising Canes. That's one who just learned the word fervor. I won't laugh at that. But it is, there is a darkness to it. Let's just say that. Okay, quick pivot to Casey and T.D. from Love Island season eight. Launcher podcast. Damn, everybody get a mic now, huh? You know, there's some Debbie Dasling that about us right now, but, and I'll name him, and you will. They're all Drake fans, too, imagine that. But I couldn't finish up, so I only watch half of it. And even that was, it was in like 1.75 XP. It was, it was tough for me. Yeah. How did you, did you watch any of it at all? I saw the clip of T.T. saying that she thinks that people treat them differently because they're a black couple. Okay. And I mean, that's just like not true at all. No. And I think like, I mean, I obviously, they're in an interracial relationship, but Trinity is like dark skin specifically, too. Yeah. So it does, I feel like that's just not Nick's use anymore to be like, that's why people don't like you. Yes. And can I add one thing to? Yeah. Watch how Casey treated Anaya, dogged her out. Yeah. Whenever she wasn't right next to him. Yeah. The way it's like, see it for like, who do you always have empathy for? Light skin. Soul. Hmm. I forgot my soul. I'd have it. I'm like, soul, the one person, everyone universally does not like. Yeah. We got to get to the bottom of that. Can't wait to the reunion. But yeah, I don't know. It feels like, I will say like, of course, like, there are things that I'm not seeing. Thank God, there are corners of the internet that I don't tap into. But like, there's no way to talk about, I think, especially T.T. Without like, yes, racism and classism all being involved. Yeah. But like, so it's not, you know, warranted, but I do not think that's like the consensus of like, that's why people don't like you. No. No. Especially Casey specifically. T.T. We would you now, girl. We, we recommend you. But I mean, the most important thing about, to me, about T.T. is that she is standing by Casey and all of us. When I'm like, if I saw a man talking about his ex the way that T.T. was talking about Anaya and Kase, I would not want to be with that person. I want to say about me whenever we're done. That's what you would say don't watch what happens live, right? The question that you want Andy to ask, I hope he asks it. We gave you some good questions. Andy. At Andy. At Bravo. Andy. You look great, by the way. Meeting Andy in person. I was like, oh. Kind of like, it's my father. You know, you know I love a gay guy. I'm working on that. So do I. Okay. Well, more on that after August 31st, because we will be talking about the reunion, of course, of course. But until then, are you looking for a safe space for your secret celebrity opinion? Do you need someone who understands your latest internet obsession? We are a pair of decade-long best friends who connect overfussing and discussing all things pop culture. We're your first stop after that TMZ push alert from Higher Ground Audio. I'm Peyton Dex. And I'm Hunter Hair. And this is Let Me Say This. Let me say this. Let me say this. I felt like Hunter Yvonne Harris when I went to see the Odyssey 70 millimeter couldn't get IMAX at 9 a.m. Wow. I sat in that little theater, shimmyed on it, and I said, this is how she feels. It's amazing. Taking a hit. But my viewing experience of that movie was a little tough. Alamo Drop Tows. Oh, you were. I know. I know. No, I know. Oh, God. You said, "Girl, that ain't me. I would never be there." Because why? Why did the audio cut out three times? There were two different scenes playing on top of each other. I had to just infer. I just had to remember the history, I guess. And then the girl next to me, 9 a.m. Wasted. Really? Glasses of wine. When I tell you, you know, every time they were pounding, collectively, she was doing it too. I should kind of eat with that, I don't like it. But you know what? You're selling with Alamo Drop Tows right now because they don't play like that at Nighthawk. They don't do that 7 Nighthawk. It was. I'll tell you what they did do at Nighthawk. It was. So I'm sitting next to an elderly couple, and you know, I love the elderly, and I am very patient with them. I hate when people are not patient with the elderly. That was until the man next to me was puffing a vape, the entire movie. Old person? Yes. I guess I would vape too if I was old. 'Cause I was like, "Loki, I hope no one thinks that's me." "Do Moa." Hunter spotted at Nighthawk's in a likely place for her to be. Okay. Sorry. All to say. We saw it. Yeah. We saw it. We saw it. Okay. Let's go down the list. 'Cause I have something to say. Okay. Everyone said that there are too many famous people in this movie. That it's two stars studded. Oh. 'Cause it has Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Hot The Way, Robert Pattinson, Lupita New Ango, Samantha Morton, John Lake Wasamo, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, John Bernthal, John Bernthal, isn't it? Oh, yeah. I guess we're a little bit. Elliot Page, Benny Safty, Mia Gaw, and Travis Scott. Your favorite booking, of course. I don't think that Travis Scott should be in this movie. I don't understand why they couldn't have had ASAP Rocky. A beautiful man. A beautiful man who can, I think, act. Yes. He looks so good. If I like sidekick you. Yeah. Yeah. And Travis Scott, on the other hand, opening movie Travis Scott. That's crazy. Okay. So I like the idea of having an order be a rapper and thinking if you wanted to have a contemporary idea of storytelling, I like that in theory, right message, wrong messenger. Exactly. No. Completely. Even people try to explain it to me. I said, no, no, no. Sorry, I get it. No. It's not that deep. It's not that complicated. My brain works. I understand that the new oral tradition is, guess what, rap. You're like, I'm black. Not rapper. What? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Totally. Yeah. Yeah. So that was a rough moment for me. I also want to say that in the, when they were in the Trojan horse, I couldn't stop thinking about you know it smells crazy in there. Of course. You know it smells crazy. They were there for a while too. I didn't realize those days, girl. No way to go to the bathroom. Nothing to eat. No, I'm like, no one heard their stomachs rumbling. I guess it was heavy enough that they, the groaning of like the wood, yeah, yeah, probably, you know, but whenever the other people were stabbed inside the Trojan horse and were like, is there anyone in there? And then one guy got stabbed and the other guy like put his hand over the blade to clean it off. I was like, okay, smart. That's really good. That's the thing. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, well, I want to just know in general, who do you think tour and who do you think could have been replaced? It was Robert Pattinson's movie. Absolutely. And I'll leave it at that. Absolutely. Because what do you mean? And how the ways her big thing is like, should I marry Robert Pattinson or should I wait for my attainment? Obviously, I'm marrying Robert Pattinson. He's right there. So movie's over. So we don't have to actually go through all this. Like, and did you see, remember me? Do you see her right now? Like, what do you like about him? He's so funny. He's so funny. Oh, wait. Yeah, let's do it. Five, six, seven, eight. So I'm gonna get these beggars out of here. Just great. Just good. Beggars are too. Yeah. He says. We'll forget you with it. Actually, you were at my apartment and you needed a charger. And I gave you a, I gave her a portable charger that I had charging. And she said, oh, what is this? Ooh. And I played the audio. I believe that beggars can be choosers. All right. No, I think so too. And I think it looks very welcome. Thank you. And I think I'm a very welcome companion to have. Okay. Who do you think flopped? Zary Tom Holland. I feel like Tom Holland was acting like he was an inspired or man, no way home or whatever. And just was like, you are talking to Matt Damon, not Tony Stark. Yeah. The, even the inflection of dad was like, oh, wrong movie. Like, I don't think he was all bad. Yeah. I just feel like a stronger performance could have come out of him. - Yeah, and I don't know. - I just think he was miscast. I don't know.
- I don't think that was like the role for him. - I didn't even agree. - I mean, Matt Damon, everyone's like, he's so good in there. I was like, he's fine, not his best work, not his worst. - Yeah, but body kind of T-Full. - Oh, body very T-Full. - I was looking at those arms. - He was up in the gym, working on his fitness. - I said, I like Boston this time of year. - Is he from there? - Yeah. - Perfect. I was also gonna say, perfect. You know, I've been getting stuff wrong. I will say beautiful gowns, beautiful gowns, Zendaya, Charlie Sarah, and Lupita Nyongo. - Yeah. - But honestly, best performance. Here's my top two performances, actually. Samantha Morton playing Cersei, getting those pigs together. - Oh, I loved that. When she was like the visuals of her molding their faces, that was really, really cool. - Which was animatronics, I think. I think Tom was talking about it in an interview and someone was like, oh, was it AI? And they're like, no, no, no. It was just like a bunch of actors getting freaky and they like, wow. - And it was so cool. - I thought that was really interesting and she tore. - And you know who I, maybe this won't surprise you 'cause you unfortunately know me too well. - Mm-hmm. - You know who is sex? John Laguzama. - Laguzama? - Laguesama? - John Laguzama. - Okay, I'm gonna-- - John. - Leguzama. - Leguzama, is that right? - Leguzama, yeah. - Peyton, Leguzama has a nice ring to it. - Okay. - Yeah, he, I forgot how much of it was watching. I just recently followed him on Instagram and I was like, just watching all of these like, these old footage he was posting. And I was like, I forgot that you were just a full bodied performer. He was so good to loosen, move on Rouge. - Oh, yeah. And didn't ruin me a poster of his. - Yeah, yeah. - I love him too. I was really happy for him in this. You know what actually I'm thinking? I really loved Elliot Page in this and I kind of wished Elliot Page was telemocus. - Whoa, wake that up. - Yeah, I think that would have been better casting. - I think so, but who? - Especially when they were in Op City, when all the dead people were walking around. - Yeah. - That scene with Elliot Page I thought was so moving and so, there was like such a need there that I think would have played better. - Astronomically. - I think you were really cooking with something too. - Yeah. - I don't know. I was really disappointed by that performance. - In the kitchen though. - Yep. - Yep. Even though I didn't love the movie as much as I wanted to, I do think great cinematic feat, obviously. The score. The score was so well done. And then I was watching an interview about how, since they did, they just would record things that were just like old brass in general because, or sorry, bronze was the Bronze Age. So that the way that they were recording music was very like, they had replicas of like an old liar and like this crazy like too flute thing that they had to like make from scratch because they didn't have any of the like actual materials. Like it's a bunch of interns who obviously like would not have any access to. But I thought this score was really well done. And obviously, I was like, who's voice is that? And I was like, oh, James Blake, of course. I know him, I know him anywhere. - Interesting. I will say I really got the egg after I saw him live at Radio City like five years ago. - What? Why? - Just not for a good life. - Oh my God. I couldn't play live. - Yeah. - Whoa, I couldn't agree more. I saw him three times in college, so my brain was still developing and like cried every single time. - Interesting. - A case of you? - What? - No, I mean, I love his music, but. - Oh, well, I just love his voice in general and I thought he was great. And I specifically thought the score in the like, Hades scene, like when they go to Hell City. - Upsities. - Opsities? - Yeah. - That's wrong. - Yeah, loathe, they're like and run, bitch. - Yes. - But I was there being like, wait, I kind of like, I want to do Molly here. Like the music was music. I was like, I'm a basement right now. I loved it there. I loved it in Hades. Take me. That's one ticket to Hades, please. Sorry. Okay, a few things I want to talk about. - Yeah. - Hamesh Patel. - Well, we didn't list him as though. - Oh my God, yeah, which is crazy 'cause he hasn't been doing a lot of, I feel like I haven't seen him in the press and he's like the main, one of the main characters in the movie. - Yeah, that's crazy. - There were a few shots and they're on that one island of his bald spot and I thought that was very brave. - He's hot. - He is. I thought I was like, I was like really impressed by that and an age where everyone has way too much hair. I was like, that's real. And then also, okay. I saw this clip of Christopher Nolan talking about, he was talking to one of his kids and he was like, I have to put the Oscar away when I'm writing because it like gets me to in my head and his own child fired a direct hit inside. Well, you didn't win the Oscars for writing. And low-key, after I saw this movie, I said, so the try-al-tor. - Yeah. - Because there were too many kind of like goofy laugh lines in this that thought a bit too modern and not to, I mean, I get that it's like a classic text. I don't think that it should have necessarily been like, it's all fake but like historical, like, whatever. - Sure. - But still, it was just a bit like cornball. I was like, it's like a bit like too scruball for me. - Wait, what parts, like the Elliot Page line? - Yeah, that one. - It was like feel free to improvise or something. That was not the line, but like. - Yeah, that's what I just like didn't really do it for me. Whereas now we'd be like, Oppenheimer, that's a comedy. What do you mean they're butt-ass naked in the middle of a conference room? Dragon interrogation. That's comedy. - Do you have favorite Nolan films? - Yeah, Oppenheimer. Oh, just Oppenheimer, love. - Well, yeah, I mean, like Inception too. I like Insomnia, the Al Pacino one. That's a really good one. - I like Batman Begins, Dark Night. - I love that one line from Inception. Tom Hardy. - You must dream a little big of darling. - Yeah. And it's a bazooka. - Love it. - Do you have any favorite rubber patterns in movies? - Oh, sure. So glad you asked. Obviously, easy thing is Twilight. Sure, but it's not necessarily like him in Twilight. It's actually his vocal work in Twilight. It specifically never think. Spotify wrapped every year, by the way. - Is it a song? - I should never say. - Yes. - I'm surprised. - He has two songs on it actually. He's a singer first and people forget that in a total freak second. But I love me some of our bads that I really, I did that thing like after watching Twilight, whereas I'm gonna watch everything you've ever been in including like the real freak movies. I like the movie where he played "Dolly." - Oh, yeah. - And honestly, let's just hold space, 'cause we have to legally talk about it about it earlier. We legally have to talk about "Remember Me," the 9/11 movie that he did. - I've actually never seen it. However, I was at a bar a couple weeks ago, and this true story, I heard people talking about it, but they couldn't remember the name of it. And I almost interjected and I said, "You know what, I'm gonna try to be normal." - Here, I'm here reading "Poolhouse" by Mary H. K. Choi and I'm one of my own business. - He said, "I'm not bringing up 9/11 today." - That's their struggle to not figure that out. - Yeah. - Yeah. He's actually really quite good at it, really sexy to me. That movie's just fucking crazy. - Never bad. - He's never bad. - No, and people, I saw this tweet that was like, "Oh, he's just trying to do anything "to remove his attachment to Twilight." That could not be further from the truth. Do you know my man? I was like, "No." Robin Pattinson was a real true freak nasty then. He's a real true freak nasty now. I'm like, he's one of those people. I think we talked about this, but can do blockbuster and do indie both equally young. Just so well, he does both with his full chest. Even that one movie that he did with Tom Holland where he was the priest, the Lou Jones. And he had the craziest accent. And he wouldn't tell anyone what his accent was gonna be. - Wait, are you thinking of the King? - No. - No. - Because in that one, he had a crazy French accent. He always had people forget about it. - That's a crazy accent, yeah. - But I think he's just, I think he's so himself that directors are like, sure. Go ahead and do you. - No, let him loose. - Let him loose. And that's honestly why I felt like, 'cause Robert Pattinson, I'm saying this in a couple of literally I choose so much scene that Tom Holland in comparison. I'm like, I get why you lost the room and the city. - Yeah. - To be talented and to also be sexy. Many such cases. - Would you have eaten the lotus flower that made him forget his history? - Girl, I part of it, guys. I eat the lotus flower every day and weekend. Okay, I got lotus flower in my bag right over there. - Tell me if you want to hear. - Okay. - He was like, he was munching. - He was like, okay, it's Chao's time. - That's how it feels to go to basement. I'm like, you guys, enough. - Where is basement? - Where do you think-- - Queens? - Oh, is it knock-time center? - Yeah, yeah, okay. - Well, we gotta get you there. - We gotta get you there. You're like, this is just like Hades. - And it's not a city. - That's literally what I'm going to do. But you know, great feat. - I think like, everyone's saying great feat. I'm like, okay, so were a lot of things. Like, okay, and what else? - I love a strict bitch. I keep one close to me at all times. - I'm sorry, I'm like, okay, so was the thin red line. Like, okay, great feat. Like that movie more. I don't know. I don't tell you. - Let's back it up. Let's move on. Let's get up out of here. - This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. - You know, Hunter, I know it's our job to talk about what's happening online, but I start doom scrolling in a crazy way late at night. It's not good for me, not at all. - No, I hear you, because I doom scroll in a crazy way too. And the irony is, we talk about mental health all the time on this show, but actually following through, that's hard. You know, and BetterHelp's 2026 Statistic Report shows that we're not alone. Thanks for watching.
every 2000 Americans and found that 85% of people believe in getting support, yet 74% of people believe society discourages you from actually doing so. Wait, so that's a crazy gap. You mean to tell me that people are actually telling their friends, "Go to therapy, it's going to change your life." It will. And that they don't actually do it themselves? A lot of people are guilty out here, but better help takes a scary part out of it. There are over 30,000 licensed therapists and over 6 million people served and a 4.9 out of 5 star ratings for more than 1.7 million sessions. In the matching process, you take a quick quiz, and they match you with someone who actually gets you. And if you're not vibing, that's totally okay. They'll find you someone new, and you don't have to do that awkward therapist break up. I've ended before. So don't let stigma stand in the way of support. Start therapy with better help. Now basketball is my favorite sport. I like the way they dribble up and down the court. I keep it so fresh on the microphone, it's like no interruption when the game is on. I like slam dunk. I take it to the hoop. My favorite plate is alley-oop. I like the giving go. I like the pick and roll is basketball. Bow out. Let's go. So basketball. I know it's one immediately said, "That's enough of that." Cause, cause, but guess that I'm wrapped. I'm got the Odyssey I'm done. We're talking B-Ball today. We're sports girls if you haven't picked that up these days. It's a sports summer. It is actually about time of my life. Me too. And you know, it can continue to be a sports summer if someone gives us US Open tickets. Yeah. Party throw, front row, celebrity row. We are the perfect seedless celebrities to sit right there and smile. So let us know. What's the first news we're going to be in two first basketball news? Lebron James. Come on up. Buy me that one boy. Lebron James. Lebron James. Lebron. No. Someone gets that. Someone thinks that's funny. Okay. Well, Lebron James signed the 76ers. Woo. I feel like I just saw actually on the way here that he is going to live in New York and take a helicopter. He's going to commute to Philadelphia and potentially by helicopter. Okay. He's on his Taylor Swift. All right. What? Philly is not that fucking far. You can hop on that train. He's an hour and a half. But he's Lebron James. So am I sometimes in some communities. That's crazy. Um, this is major for me. This is major because I did watch the decision when he left Cleveland for Miami. Oh. On television when I was a child, it was a really formative experience for me. And then he posted about going to Philadelphia. This is his last decision. Yeah. And that was really poetic. Well, that makes sense because he's like 45. So I understand that. My trainer texted me like, oh my god, Lebron going to Philly, all caps. And it was like, I don't know how to explain this. It's just so gender-affirming. Do we like, just a girl, just a girl being dude, just me and my guy. Like I was like, yes, like he sees me. I'm with the boys. Like I get it. That's so cool. It did something for my big lesbian heart, of course. But I, um, happy for it. One, you know, I love Lebron James. And what I love even more is his lies. Love when he lies. Love when he has a lie. You don't know anything about this lore? No. Or all he loves to tell a lie. Wait, really? Yes. Okay. There's a famous interview with Taylor Rooks when they were in the bubble. Shout out to that, Betty. Yes. He had come on to like the interview and he had the autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley. And she said, well, what specifically do you like about the book? And he said, you know, a lot, a good, a lot of good things, a good man. He said a lot of things. It's important, relevant now. She said, well, what specifically? He said, well, it just a lot of things. Another time he might do book, Uncracked. He does like me for real. True. Honestly, true. He's just like a lot of y'all pretending to breed all about love. Okay. Okay. Someone, he was going to interview about like the godfather, like he, someone was like, oh, yeah, you like the godfather? He was like, yeah, what's your name at line? A lot of them. A lot of my favorite lines are in the godfather. Wait, I don't like that kind of liar. I like a Robert Patton's and kind of liar that just does improv and just will say like any fucking thing. Like that's more fun because then we have to follow the case. He's just like, no, ambiguous with it. Someone was on the shop, his HBO show, yeah, and said something and he said, and you know what? I always say that. That's my favorite lines. I love it. Sorry, hilarious. Such just girl things. I mean, I love his social media presence as we both know, obviously there's nothing like smiling through it all. Can't believe this is my life. If you know about my pain, passion, struggle, and I've always said that. Oh, and his other lie when he was like, yeah, but I would do yeah. He was like wrapping along into something song and he was like, yeah, but yeah, I don't know. I guess that. Yeah. He is too up to speed. Yeah, please do. I don't have the filly. Oh, yeah. Up to speed. On all-star weekend, WNBA. Yeah. I didn't want to have a bad attitude in this podcast recording because like I was in New York where I shouldn't have been because I should have been at the WNBA all-star weekend in Chicago. I should have been there and I should have been there, passed around like a blunt. You know what I did? Sit at home. Well, you know what, too, because you know your history with City of Chicago. DMS, we'll tell you about it now. Yeah. So here's what you missed, Angli. Basically, my like favorite thing right now is the stud buds. They are two players who formerly met on the Minnesota lengths, um, Courtney and T. They played together and they, I don't do the Twitch live stream stuff. I don't need to know about that. It's not going to be my business. I watched the clips at the very least. Mm-hmm. I'm too old for the twitching. But unless maybe that's something we should get into if it's lucrative. Let us know. Um, but they live streamed the last all-star weekend and then it was like a 7-2-hour live stream of this weekend in just partying. Look at getting people in trouble, too, like they, because they're just filming everything. So like people be whispering, people be drinking, people be talking, running that mouth. I was cracking up, though, because the jerseys or sets or kits, I don't know, of for one of the teams was the color of the lesbian flag, which is what? Like a pink and orange, and it's not males. You know, you know, I don't rock them like I'm doing. Um, because mostly, honestly, the main meme I use is the buy flag, though that one granny ironing the buy flag. Mm-hmm. I was for Halloween and no one got it. Um, but I was like, whoever designed this, no notes, spectacular, spectacular. I really, I feel like there's like an L word web, like, connects them all for like who is dating, because so many people date in it, in the same team, on different teams. I would love to find out what I could do. I could do on the ground research for anyone once, once to see me there, but they don't, they don't want me to be great under. And I'm always saying that and I always support you in that thing. Thank you. Thank you. Talk Valentina. Um, but yeah, so I wasn't there. It looked really fun. Uh, easy one, the three point contest, that was cool, Esa Ray is really bad at basketball. I learned that, um, her and Kiki Palmer did the three point contest and then Obama was there. Hmm. Our employer. Looking like so casual, too, he was like, just me and the lesbians, Lincoln and building. That's kind of you. One thing about Obama. Yeah. What? One thing we have in common. Lios. Mm-hmm. And you love to keep a lesbian, or me. You love to keep me nearby. You're not my only lesbian. Who the fuck is your other lesbian private, my business and me, let me bring them on the pod right now. Dorothy, you know, I thought you were going to be serious for a second. I was like, literally, who is ranking above me in the lesbian community? I was being serious. Dorothy. She actually, yeah, she gets it. She gets that number one spa. DM me. Yeah. And they will. Um, but yeah, anyway, love to see, I mean, love to see Obama supporting women's sports. I feel like in general, I'm like, yeah, that stadium was full. Don't play in our faces about people don't watch women's sports. I have something else about basketball. You know, you're going to know her name because I definitely don't. That one girl from that one gif where she's pointing. So if we're cutting him. That's a mega girl. Yeah. That they make me a mega Barbie. Yes. [BLANK_AUDIO]
West Wilson, Summer House West Coast, yeah, this is something that I want to talk about because I hate to see he's just been so running interference trying to like get people back on his side because what do you mean the weekend? Yeah, Maga Barbie has a lot of wrong things to say about trans athletes, he goes on TikTok and says, uh, trans athletes in America and sports is such a borderline non-existent issue, um, which is true. But he's saying all the right things. Yeah, you can't do that the weekend that you drop a Instagram photo dump of you celebrating a man of Attula's birthday. And then also posted photo with Jesse from Summer House. Oh, that everyone said was actually old. Oh, that was a photo from pre-scandal. Okay, that's actually crazy that people know that I will say that. But it's also crazy for him to post it. If that is true, I just don't like that. I don't like you dog our girl out. And then you come over and like, when woke points by dogging your But also, you know what I think is less interesting is making it talk about that instead of on your next pod episode. Go ahead and talk about that. Like that. That's a real way to handle it. Not like, oh, but this is my opinion. Don't I feel like that kind of almost shoves the issue under the rug. And like what she had said was explicitly transphobic. She, when she was talking about in the ESPN interview, the Maga Barbie nickname. Her response was like, people are just kind of projecting. They're going to assume. And I'm like, okay, so this is a semi-sweeney. I was about to say that. And that's clearly the playbook. Where do you stand? I think it's too late. It's 2026. It's like the ambiguity. Leave that shit at home. Like you should let people know what people's lives are at stake. Exactly. People are dying of health. It was just really crazy of me to not just like evade that question essentially. But then also to double down and just be like, I'm just trying to look out for girls because I love to say that's who they love. It's always about keeping children safe. And it literally what about the children who are struggling? Yeah, it's fucked up. And it's like, honestly, not lost. I mean that her and Caitlin Clark are both on Indiana fever together. And I'm like, ooh, double homicide. You got two people fucking Caitlin Clark at the damn Morgan Wallens show. She's faking fall and left and right. One thing, it's like a breeze will go by and say, oh, foul. It's a foul. It's great. The clips are crazy. It's like, everyone is at least six feet from each other. They're social distancing on the court and she'll find a way to fall over and call it a foul. Yeah. I love when you get activated. I know. Yeah. Yeah. So get me to WNBA. I'll start regaining what I'm saying. But yeah, I don't like those two white girls. I don't know. They don't sit right with me. But I think you'd be out of a good plan about the West thing that I didn't think about. Because if it's really that important to you, you need to go talk to your co-host on camera on air about it. Yes. And not privately. I feel like that bullshit with him in Amanda. Yeah. We talk about a private. No, no, no, you become a public figure. You have a public podcast where you talk about sports. Yeah. So West, Sophie, go ahead and discuss it on a hot mic. I challenge you. That sounds like like a duel. I agree. Yeah. I hated that. I hated that. I hated that a lot. But I love to see the girls playing sports. What was that about? Yes. Hunter hairs don't play about Sid. Oh my god. I love that. Sid Coleson. Maybe you were that reply guy. That she was stalker. Yeah. Her stalker. But she was there. They were partying. Her and TP always do like her kind of her co-host. They have, I think, a podcast. Yeah. And they had a funny show together that you would really like actually. I've seen it on TikTok. I'm sure. Yeah. I get all the clips of them on TikTok. I do want to watch that documentary. I don't know if it's new, but it's like on ESPN called in the W or something or life in the W about the WMVA players. Again, hoping to manifest a feature in that the next season of it. But I'll be watching that. I'll be reporting back. I can't wait. And I'm actually listening and take notes holding my breath. I have something to close us out. Okay. I would like to say thank you to the YouTube commenter of my episode of Deezis Pieces. Because I was talking about Marvel, whatever. Avengers, Doomsday, trailer, whatever. And someone in the comments said, uh, is Hunter homeschooled? Because she doesn't, she's ever seen a Marvel movie. First of all, yes, I have. Second of all, you cannot call me homeschooled and get away with it. It's not going to happen. Okay. I made a YouTube account to respond. Wait, you've made one? Yes, because to respond to the comment, I had to make an account. I've never had an account before. I never had a public facing a kind of like my login. So I made an account to say, uh, homeschooled where? Home schooled jungle freak. Oh, that's not a racial. I mean, I'm also black, obviously, but that's not crazy. And I want to say shout out to the one YouTube commenter who said, women that fine don't watch those movies. When we say to camera, women that fine don't watch those movies. And I've always said that. And I said, thank you so. And that's, that's what I mean when I say we need men allies. We need men in the trenches with us. Yes. Community. Thank you, sir. This is a village. Yes. [MUSIC]
