The Nicolandria Audit: Thursday, July 23rd, 2026

The podcast discusses the breakup of Nickelandria, a Love Island USA couple, one year after their debut, with the official statement citing distance and busy schedules as reasons. However, critics argue the timing and lack of romantic gestures—such as kissing or holding hands—reveal a performative, business-like relationship rather than genuine love. The hosts reflect on how they were once labeled as "haters" for questioning the authenticity of the couple, but now see their early skepticism as prescient. They also note that the breakup coincides with a surge in public speculation, including rumors of Nick being involved with Travis Scott, suggesting a possible strategic move to boost visibility. The discussion extends to broader themes of media manipulation, fan reactions, and the reality of fake relationships in reality TV. The hosts highlight that while the breakup may be framed as a natural outcome, the absence of public romantic moments and the timing of the announcement raise questions about authenticity. They also touch on other stories, like a long-term marriage breakup in Salt Lake City due to financial strain and shifting roles, and clarify that a song by Gracie Abrams is not about Taylor Swift. The episode concludes with a mix of humor, reflection, and commentary on media narratives, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking in consuming reality TV content. All stories are framed through the lens of personal experience, media influence, and public discourse.

And just to turn out we were right, we often are, do you think they intentionally waited to put out the statement until The Toast was up? - I don't actually. - I feel like they might have. - They didn't want it. - It doesn't hurt to wait until the breaking scoop. - I've talked about it yesterday. I'm obsessed too, and just because they broke up, real couples can break up. - Break up too, of course. - It doesn't necessarily mean that they were never a real couple just 'cause they broke up. But if I were on like Team Nicolangeria, this is exactly when I would break up. Right after the season of Love Island Airs, everyone's talking about the new couples. - It has the baton. - It has the baton. - It has Trinity and Bright. - We can sort of like slowly fade, quietly fade, but there will be nothing quiet about this. - We're gonna try not to talk about it too much, although I'm literally busting at the motherfuckin' seams to talk about it. It is of course our lead story, and also the rumors that are coming along with it. So before we dive into talk about just a subject that's like near and dear to our hearts, how are you? - I am good. We've had a morning, we're actually vlogging today. - We also vlogged last night. We're like such vloggers. - We're such vloggers, we love vlogging. So it started in my car. But no, that's like something that I have to work on as a content creator. - If I want to be taken seriously as a vlogger. - Absolutely, and I just feel that we're at a place. Everyone in the world was always acting proper. Like, yeah, I'd be embarrassed to be filming myself in public. People pee in public. Like I can film myself. - Yeah. - It's not a big deal. - Yeah, it's true. And last night, we filmed an amazing vlog that's going live today. - And when Jackie and I say that, like, we are doing things on the internet that no other creators, podcasters, Patreoners are doing, this is what we mean when we say that. Like, we had a live Majang tournament. Like, who is doing that? But us, me, Jackie and Ben. And the fourth player was you. It was so innovative. - You did a reader. - It will be up later today. If you're into Majang, like you really appreciate sort of like the talent and who wins. - And if you're not into Majang, like we don't spend too much time talking about the tiles. - I'm not teaching you, sorry. - We're not teaching you, like it's more entertaining. Usually whatever I do that day, like some, in some way, like comes up in my dreams. But it's different every day. - Yeah. - It's fine. But the Maj dreams are not my favorite. - I agree. - So even though I like playing at night, it's not something I'm gonna make a habit of. - I'm just wondering if I look different to anyone today. - Because you have two new pieces of jewelry. - Yes, I do wanna close the circle. Like we talked a lot about what Ben got me for Mother's Day. And while it was really beautiful, it needed some work. I finally got it yesterday from the jeweler. It is, I don't know if I told you guys what it actually was. It was a Ruby diamond bracelet. It was like half Ruby, half diamond. I just needed like a new setting, a new class, but like a couple of new stones. And I finally got it. Our friend Margot and her mom are jewelers. And they made it for me. It is so sick. Apparently they are the lettuce supplier to Taco Bell and Taco Bell's lettuce was the issue. - Contaminated and then they just pinned it on Taylor Farms. - And obviously like a defamatory claim. - Yeah. - It's true. They share a deep love and respect for each other. And we support one another whenever possible. OK, I mean, obviously, like the show has ended. And I'm not talking about Love Island. I'm talking about their relationship. I think it's been very interesting to see people's reactions because we're just coming off a season of Love Island. We're like, we were told we had the worst takes, right? And we were the people last season saying, like, why are you guys voting for Nickelandria? Why are you guys voting for Amaya? And that this person like ran into Nick and Alandria, and they were like being really rude to me. Like, can't stand to be around each other. Which, actually, I think they were in a relationship. No, but it's like, you're posting that now? Yeah, no, like, you're brave now. Like, why-- It's not brave now. Why not say when it's unpopular? And that's just easy feeling now, because I'm just no next year. Like, people are going to be talking about Carl and Anaya, the way we've been talking about that. I'm like, the voting public of Love Island, and this is just further proof. Like, they're wrong about everything. And I feel so good that everyone hated our taste. You know, yes, I feel that way as well as we have been saying Since day mother fuck I'm on yeah, and the real couples from that season were ace and Shelley and we never really wrote for them Because like ace was sort of problematic But they were a cute real couple the fact that they didn't make final four is insane insane and then iris and tj Which turned into iris and pepe but the islanders another bunch of morons voted to jail tj Even though they had a strong connection just for some more fake relationships. Yeah, no like once again I feel good like about what I contributed to love island last season and this season But even this statement like is not a romantic relationship, and I feel like Nicolandria They don't outright lie because they just talk about their connection There is this clip of them saying we're dating and so yeah Like if the two of them go to dinner. I guess that's considered a date They don't say like you know they don't kiss they don't put actually pretend to be in love They really operate like business partners to the statement the distance between them and their busy schedules made it challenging to maintain their Connection you're still saying connection so true later very manipulative statement. They still remain close friends Yes, they've always been that's the whole thing business partners. They share a deep love and respect for each other Of course, I share a deep love and respect with you. Yeah, of course and we'll always support one another whenever possible Yes, they've been supporting each other for a year. There's nothing about that. That's an actual relationship break up Yeah, that's actually an amazing point also contextualizing this thinking about the interview that they just did where she's tough recent Yeah, that clip where she's talking about being loved out loud and it's like you're being loved out loud You won't even call him your boyfriend in the breakup statement and also it's a fake relationship like No, and we didn't see love out loud. We didn't see well. They were never together. We saw him loving Sierra out loud We saw him now by the way, there's so many tweets that are going out so much Disco is growing Sierra talking about Sierra backing it up and then running it forward again But it's the only time talking about Sierra are the people who like wrote wrote over her with a strong last season and then so after that Then we saw him being a friend to you out loud. That's what we saw I didn't see love out. I never saw love I actually saw you guys making out and agreeing to that there's no connection between and then I saw the last few episodes Where you guys understand that the fans have been rooting for Nicolandria and you guys want to give them what they want and you like each other And your friends and you want to make the final his connections not there like you're done being embarrassed by Taylor Uh-huh, oh and Taylor and Clark were the other real connection. There's still together that That didn't make the finals because everyone like can't get over them the fact that he like chose her over or Landria Right, which is what you're supposed to do test your connection. It's like test your connection test your connection But don't yeah explore. But don't right Yeah, they're like they are still together Yeah, so that's what I saw I saw friendship and business out loud Yes, I never saw love out loud and the fact that that interview came out what like two weeks ago and they break up and I didn't even read the statement because like seriously who cares like they're broken up But you're so right about the choice of words Yeah, that there's not a lie in there and even so for the last few episodes They talked a lot about like their connection, you know That seeing it at first and not necessarily like lying like I'm in love with you And they don't kiss or anything they don't just like talk No, but even in public like they don't get no they hold hands if they take pictures. I saw funny Uh, like tweet or something that she had her birthday recently I think was at her like new apartment and a lot of her family and friends were there and like he's on the end of every photo So he can be cracked out of any year In a day right very easily There's really not much to say when you didn't write, you know except of course I told just her ending One year out with no friends from the villa when she was an OG villager. You're right like There's something suspicious about the fact that all the girls are on vacation right now without her And these are girls that they weren't even friends with even the villa But now they're friends like they were not friends with Clark. There are multiple pockets of friend groups She could be friends with like she should be friends with Shelley because that was her best friend in the world But she's not because Sierra she's she's a Shelley and Sierra really good. But so like Shelley chose Sierra She's not friends with like the iris Hannah Hannah cohort and Drina is always around and Drina and Clark There are a lot of different friend groups and they all like make content together on vacation together. It's so cute. Yeah Weird So that's what I'm saying like in this audit. It's not reflecting well on her when this entire time I thought like he was bringing her down she's so above him and she is so above him, but like Now I don't know the whole thing has sort of like solid Yeah, and at the end of the day Nickelandria at its core was just genuine dishonesty And that's never a good look fraud fraud people have gone to prison for worse. I mean for less Yeah, and if I were like running Nickelandria incorporated dot org Q TM I would say right after the next season of love Islanders we should break up. That's what I would say right It's a little obvious honestly. We should have waited another six months or like right before the season air So that like people would be on to the next thing It wasn't it it was obviously a choice like the timing and I think it was actually a bad time to choose Yeah, but now the streets are saying that she's been hooking up with Travis Scott That's what Duma said and it's like Duma's gonna keep pissing me off like isn't the whole point of what you do to like share These titillating things that you get that might shock the public still titillating so like yeah sharing that they were me to each other Coachella like now Well, we know they broke up thanks for that But that would have been helpful to know at Coachella. Yeah, so like Back up here. Yeah, right. It's just it's not brave to like go along with like Nickelandria stands now They broke up being like yeah, I also heard it was fake. It's like that's you're supposed to be like the the hint person Yeah, it was it's like lame is fuck honestly. Yeah, and then she reported today Which she probably just got today now that everyone's talking about Nickelandria that a lingerie is hooking up with Travis Scott for months allegedly So like I just feel that which is maybe why they're finally breaking up so that first of all it's like getting close to coming out If she steps out with Travis Scott, that's better for like her stock. Yeah, and maybe she wants that Because I think for why Andrew being stormy step mom. I mean think about the dinner like stormy's graduation It's with Timothy Travis a Landria Kylie and Timothy at Stormy's graduation dinner obsessed see And you know Kylie loves love Island. We have wanted for a Landria loves love Island. Yeah, she probably loves a Landria This when we've talked about Nickelandria at a glance over the last year like this is what we've wanted for a Landria She is on another level. She can start dating Much more eligible famous wealthy men. So like this is exactly what we wanted for her But I don't know. I'm just not feeling good about it About Travis Scott no about the whole thing internal like I wanted them to break up And I wanted her to take Travis Scott like everything that I wanted to happen is happening But it just happened in a really like dishonest way the way I thought I would feel about her when they broke up is not how I feel about her I thought I would feel like yes, she's free. Yeah, but now it's like your both lives Yeah, and the fact that she doesn't have like friendships from the show doesn't look like well on her And she's just always doing everything alone Yeah, everyone's doing everything together. Yeah Yeah, and I feel like people are starting to To question that yeah, I don't need it's like turn on her anything, but At what point like does the cost of Nickelandria come home to roost. No, I mean thousand percent Like this is so serious to me like Is this so serious and like any other fake love island couple that goes really far or wins Just because one of them is really like that happens every time I'm Brian like break up two weeks later We don't care yeah, like every show's over. We don't yeah, they took it so serious so far. They really thought they were like Doing something yeah, and they were by the way until a point because like while I was on to them I'm more media literate the average person a couple weeks later We're like the distance. It was too hard. We're better off as friends the people who believed them would have stayed believing And like would have just rest in peace. Yeah, quite ceremony. It's true. They gave everyone too much time to doubt them and and in that year in that year We're seeing just like public appearances not couple content. No, not love No, look they were on the cover of glamour magazine together like if I'm no editor of glamour like I'm in there It's like I got duped. I feel like overall nickelary and you're like Was it test for people? I passed you passed the toes passed with flying colors And if I'm a person who failed like who even for one second believed that they were real like I'm taking a hard look in the mirror Because like I said this is serious for me. Yeah Yeah, and we can only hope to like learn from this. I don't need to learn anything neither to you of course But I hope others do definitely. Yeah, and I'll be curious to see the couples at three because so far Carlin and I are like are everyone is at least Carlin and I a kiss you know, and like they are trying like they are in a sort of couple But it is like the same thing where she the fans are obsessed with it. I went to Kasa chose someone else right she stayed chose him Yeah, then people became obsessed with the relationship the producers like produce their way into Car Naya and Let's see what happens next. So though I do think there is a little bit more romance between those two. I mean there is they kiss And they like make out at night and yeah, I read nickel andry is just like paint several beds. Yeah So that's the end of nickel andry I will miss it. I won't I will miss talking. I almost being right I'm just talking about them. Yeah. And he's just he's spooky. I think I'll never get over it. I know. I know. He'll never make it right. Yeah, I know he To this day is never spoken to Sierra. I would love to talk to Sierra. I do feel that she's healed like it took a long time But she talks about it like in vague ways. I follow her on TikTok. She's just a really good influencer too. She's amazing content It's good to cut the outfits like I was just looking at her content. I follow her so I see a lot of it a lot of the time But not all of it and like the videos that she makes like by the speech doing her makeup. It's that's like her thing You guys have to watch these videos like some people just have the content bug. Yeah, and We just we all moved on from that too quickly like his biggest crime is not even the fraudulent relationship It's what he did to that girl. Mm-hmm. Yeah, of course. No, it's not you could be an fraudulent. Okay, of course Okay, so your friends and you just want to like, you know, make some on your mom. Yeah Sierra. Yeah Are you ready for our next story? Where to go? Where to go? Oh, she's lost real house. I said Salt Lake City's Whitney Rose Drop a husband is just in Rose break up after 16 years of marriage. You're gonna be okay. I know how much Justin Rose means to you because he looks like Hannah Brown Hannah Brown. I love you. I know you're watching. Yeah. Um, yes. No, I'll be okay This is just like I feel like when couples like go through such hard times and like don't break up Then I'm genuinely shocked when they eventually break up and I feel like the last few seasons they've had like really hard like financial issues and Changes in their marriage with like her being the breadwinner and the whole dynamic that they like got married or changed When she became a house like that. It normally does, but I just thought they were so solid like this is if you had to guess like the next couple That would split in Salt Lake City. I just wouldn't think it would be them actually like Just because there are a lot of good marriages in Salt Lake City like I think that Meredith and Seth do have a good marriage I think at least I'm John do I actually might have said Whitney Rose just because they're like a freaky like backstory like they have a big age gap And she is so different that happens a lot that you just become different True, like you just change as a person when you become a housewife and yes financially independent and they can just like me miss Yeah, it changes who you are I think a lot of the times like at your core and sometimes you change into a person that your husband hates or you change into a person who eats their husband So yeah, and I feel like she actually has changed so much. That's a good assessment So the news is that this the two have separated after 60 years of marriage They've not spoken out publicly about what led to their breakup However, they're ups and downs including job losses his job loss failed business ventures and financial troubles after he put all of his money Have been thoroughly chronicled during the last six seasons even though like when you're having financial issues Kind of the worst thing you can do is get divorced because it's so expensive you have to split everything It's like we only have one dollar like now we've just split it So like I just think it's a good financial decision. That's very true It's really bad for like your finances to get worse even for wealthy people. You become temporarily poor. Yeah Okay, I have to catch up on Salt Lake City because I want to watch the next season like a lot's happening like between it And I also like want to know like why now again, you know We talk about this a lot with like couples who have been through a lot who have kids and it's like what changed? What was like the final straw? Because it does feel like something had to have happened. They're financial issues started like many years ago Agreed it's not that like divorce isn't gonna make it any better. Mm-hmm. So like why are they getting divorced? Who wanted the divorce? Who do you think wanted it? Yeah, we do Just to guess yeah always sad. Yeah And I think also maybe it's because how like the franchise is still new But I do think that if you've been on housewives for a long time and your marriage has survived like drama and rumors like you're pretty set Like especially if you're an older woman. That's why I think Whitney's like also kind of young She's still like, you know 39. She's still a butterfly. She's still cocooning and changing Butterflies are really like the metaphor of the summer a thousand percent. It's a butterfly summer But like I think with a lot of the older housewives once they make it through like five six seasons with their husbands and their tested Like it actually ends up being good for marriage if you make it through. Yeah, and so I don't think that one they've been test like Well, they obviously like were tested and failed and two like she's really young I think if you're like really sure who you are I remember Melissa Gorge came on the podcast. She was talking about how like she was a housewife like she did not make any money And she was like really happy being and then she became like really independent was like going out to events And I think that like a lot of times like that can happen and it test your relationship and like you fail or you succeed And I'd like to reason not to reason Melissa and Joe like succeeded. Yeah, if you watch early episodes He's like toxic get in the kitchen and she's like wait, but I was like male showbiz and then like the the Format of their relationship like change and gender roles and it's like you're home with the kids because I got to go out And there's definitely growing pain a thousand percent and you see that and it's like painful But it doesn't mean that it has to end like you could reformat yourself. Right, and then of course like Joe Gorge got himself famous Like it all worked out well for them But I think maybe that's kind of what happened here because most of the work was also young so like she was like still figuring out who she was Is a mom and a woman and then this thing happens in your famous and Jersey like they really blew up but like Justin Rose like seems very I don't know what Justin Rose seems like Except for there was a weird scene right with Lisa Barlow. What like he like they got into a fight I hate when the man getting fights. It's like so seriously. Yeah, and he like Like spoke nasty to her like she like came at him like ranting about his wife But like doesn't matter. So like city. Do not get involved in he sort of didn't he started like barked at her Very Ken Todd stupid woman Yeah, yeah, and especially because he's like seems so jovial um and like kind hearted and it was just a little awkward Even though like she started she asked for it. It doesn't matter like ranting It doesn't matter. You're just supposed to stand there. You're just supposed to stand there He gave the men of bravo juicy Andy went Instagram a fish with his boyfriend Like they posted such a cute picture, and I do feel and you know what somebody tagged me in a clip You know Hoda she like started that like Made the accompany whenever she like does a show in the back of a car. It's like sponsored by Toyota But they were talking she had Andy on and somebody tagged me in this clip where he was talking about how he loves his job so much But he went through an era where like he got Like a lot of data they do bravo like Q score tests and Focus groups whatever and they got a bunch of feedback that it seems like Andy on watch what happens live was like checked out and just like over it And Andy was like that was such a reality check for me like I have the best job in the world And you know, he does feel like he's done a little bit of a Yeah, I was shocked that he shared that but he was like yeah the data like people were the feedback was that like I spelt kind of checked out You mean the toast and literally and he was like the second I heard that like it just it hit me sideways And I realized like I have the best job in the world I don't know like what I'm complaining about and he's been like totally recommitted to it ever since I'm shocked How did I not see that because it's on this like a random sponsored show that Hoda does in the back of a car. I Feel I'll find the way I feel personally attacked and it was how about you they ran like actual focus groups So he says but literally we said that and we're not the only people who said that like it's so obvious He's sort of cutting people off shoving them out the door like I guess so, but like it could have just been like, you know The streets are saying it's us. No, no, he said we are the streets. You said Bravo gave him like formal Data research from the streets of the toast. We are the streets by the way literally yeah so Britney rose Britney rose just the most Goodbye are you ready for our next story? Aaron Desner is setting the record straight on Gracie Abrams song Death Wish. He said it's definitely not about Taylor Swift So we're that he's addressing this but as we discussed earlier this week Gracie Abrams has a song on her new album Death Wish that has some people mostly me and Liz woods wondering if it's about Taylor Yeah, I'm not Putting my tin foil hat on for this like I don't believe that it is Yes, and like there was other things, you know, she performed it in 2025 and she's told out on what I know a friend But he addressed The rumors and nastiness He said the record straight he said The studio version predates the live recording by several months We wrote it actually the week that we recorded that's so true I told you things and other songs from secret of us to Lux in the wake of daughter from hell coming out People were like wait what about the original version? This is the original version Regarding speculation that it's about Taylor. He said yeah, definitely not it was written at a time when Gracie was writing about a friend's ex being in a bad relationship Okay, he is sort of like this harrowing her. I just want to say like I can understand I can accept that it's not about Taylor But writing about your friend's ex like it's just so and it's such like a a strong song I don't have that shong of feelings about my friend's ex. I don't know actually Megan Moroni's like number one hit that like the first ever song she wrote is about her friend's boyfriend What song you don't make you wonder? That's only part that I know It's it's complimentary but it's Tennessee and it's because it's her friend that just got married So she like I saw that her wedding speech like went viral that like I guess Gracie's young so like her friendships are like yeah And you know like young girls were always like taking up for their friends inspiration everywhere Yes, of course because songwriter you can't like only bleed out for yourself He said just you can inspiration. He said so it was for that about that kind of person I think I wouldn't even actually know who the person is I just want to say I'm just not being the one to set the record straight Shout out to Hannah daily at billboard for asking the scary questions Just like did you see that clip from our competitors at popcast the New York Times? They asked Olivia Rodrigo about like the Taylor Swift beef She gets asked about it actually quite a bit to ask like face-to-face on a podcast like I thought that was like so brave. She always gets like the same Yeah, sort of packaged not believable. Yeah, the New York magazine wrote an article like that literally said exactly What you said about Olivia Rodrigo dating someone in finance Yes, I did and I felt very like validated that there that was there thought as well And I think the person who wrote it like is like a proud communist. She's a socialist and she was like But I get it like we basically we all got to get dick down by finance bros like it was basically what we said. She was like coming at it from like another ankle. A complimentary. Like as a socialist like yeah but we're saying the same thing. Yeah. And like we agree. Yeah. You know what I mean? World peace. Oh yeah like I think Olivia Rodriguez might spawn world peace. One thousand percent can come together like and like be together. Be one. Yeah she gets asked about the Taylor thing quite a bit. We never get anything like everything she says is so generic. Yeah. And it doesn't color what I think at all because it's just like PR. But like it's crazy to ask her that too. I know because like obviously when you sit down with a celebrity maybe if you we don't interview people like a lot maybe if we did like you grow a set of balls because I would be like yeah fuck Taylor said I would just be like scared. Yeah like saying whatever she said. But yeah no you're not and like and you're so right about that I would be like yeah yeah no a hundred percent. And like people thought there was like a little bit of shade in what she said but of course like you over at she can't get away with saying anything but she just like she talked a lot about how it was like you know great learning blah blah blah and how like she just like it's important to her to treat everyone like kindness and respect and so it's like well why are you bringing that up. It's giving like I wasn't treated with kindness and she's disrespecting. Yeah it's getting you know but I'm gonna lie off because like there's no good way to answer that question and like you don't want to be in like Taylor's crosshair so yeah just want to get through the question. And I'm sure she knows every time she sits down for an interview she's gonna be asked to no I think that really I think it's really inappropriate that like you do like I love it. You're your bravery but I think it's inappropriate like to ask about this like drama with this like big scary artist that like there's say there is real drama and there is what can she say what you really want her to like compromise her career by like actually telling you what happened. Right and the fact that you say she's asked about it every time well then stop asking you have the answer you should we watch yeah you should be watching her previous interviews for you interview her yeah we never get new information so it's just bad journalism like you know she's not a journalist asked the same question like when they all asked someone the same question that just means you have it much they're like previous interviews I want like you asking a new question so while I commend the balls and I personally hadn't heard her talk about it before like I do think it's it's not right and it's like it's not gonna engender them to want to be on your show when they're being asked like hard uncomfortable questions yeah yeah yeah and also she was sitting in the middle like one of them was to her right and one of them was to her left but you think it's just like a really weird thing to her like she was like talking to both of them like right left right left like a tennis match I just thought it was weird yeah speaking of I meant to tell you I drove past the movie theater in Southampton yesterday and they are playing the Odyssey and I max because we were saying that like we don't we really want to see it but they say it's not worth seeing if it's not an I max and I was like well there's definitely not an I max in the Hamptons there is I'm just saying we could like show let's go I just feel like Loki I'm not gonna like it because like I feel like we should we should see it like for this show like what is it like we used to do love island like seven nights a week but we can watch a three hour movie like it's gonna be like done but like the Odyssey's like a fake story right and it's like it's just like a made-up story yeah it's about Greek gods though there is some yeah are all the characters Greek gods or like where are they just Greeks and they're in the horse like I don't know it's not Trojan horse there is Trojan horse Trojan horse is part of Odyssey mm-hmm I saw it took a lot of time I sure yeah I love Trojan horse they're where they hide yeah I mean yeah I saw like someone talking about it Trojan horse and Odyssey oh and I made Ben because the Trojan horse is okay I'm looking at two conflicting things AI says yes but only briefly Odysseus Odysseus actually devised the trick so the wooden horses mentioned during the story but the event takes place before the timeline of the Odyssey oh actually what I saw was that somebody complaining that chronologically the horse shouldn't be here well um I don't want to see any spoilers yeah okay I do want to see it I just feel like I'm gonna expend all this time watching it like I'm not gonna understand it or like it like I do think it's maybe just like a little bit above my you're very smart and like you're smarter than the average well that's true because I didn't fall for Nikolandria right so like I think you'll get it it's not it's a movie it's a movie like if they wanted to appeal to the masses I think you're not giving yourself enough credit you have nor Christopher Nolan okay like this is it's kind of cute no I don't know him yeah I've been seeing him a lot like I'm pressing stuff because like when they interview the cast like he's there too you know until like it's a Landry are gonna be going to the premiere with Chad Scott probably like I'm ready for that I just want to say that's what it should have been all along yeah she really got in her own way because she should have been going to premieres and things of that nature with him long ago yeah trips to the cape exactly we have an exclusive code new customers can use code toast to get 20% off their first order at parallelhealth.com/toast that's p-e-r-e-l-l health.com/toast thank you/turt you're welcome our next story is kind of crazy I don't know if you've seen this Chelsea Hamler laid out her strict rules for family vacation okay I was so fucking confused I saw this like six-page statement this slide I think this was a joke or who she was talking to yeah so I read all of it and I literally like have put together what I think this is about but I have no idea so she put it she's talking about an actual vacation I don't know if she was making like euphemisms no So she's talking about an actual vacation. I guess she takes a lot of vacations. She brings her family on vacation. She has five siblings, and then-- - All their kids. - This is enough he's like combined. And they all go on vacation together to her various homes in LA, and Mallorca, and the vineyard. And she, I guess, wrote them a letter. Chiding them for their behavior on vacation. It is very, very long that I will read some of it so you can understand the tone. Out of nowhere, she posted this with the caption, it's my family vacation season, which means it's time to reread the rules. If you want to vacation with me, these are the rules. To all my nuggets, I want to start this email by telling each of you, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and F, that I love you for all different sorts of reasons. And there is nothing any of you could ever do to get me to unlub you, it can never happen. So it was with great love and hope that we can use this as an opportunity to get better at being together. Our family is dysfunctional, and that's what families are. What we need to work on, however, is manners. There was a definite shortfall of manners on this trip, and I left this trip feeling embarrassed and taken advantage of. Say hello to people who are working in the house, who are delivering something, or who work for me. You don't have to have conversations with the housekeepers or workers, but you do need to acknowledge their existence out of my, out of decency and respect. This goes from my home in LA or in New Yorker, the vineyard, or wherever we happen to be vacationing. She said, these are the points in bold. But these, she said, I treat my employees like family, and I expect you to do the same, if someone's carrying boxes, help them, whether a boy or a girl open the door. It's a nice and decent thing to do, to be conscientious of the others who are also on the vacation with you. Girls, be kind and thoughtful to my guests. Do not roll your eyes repeatedly or even ever. Then she said, do not consume copious amounts of alcohol on multiple occasions. Do not complain about food while you are eating it. This happened at every meal. You are not at home, you are a guest. Clean your plates after you eat. Don't put them in the sink. And don't leave them where you ate them. Open the dishwasher and put them inside. Do not litter on the grounds of someone else's house. She talks about how they rented the house and how with the owner feel, with beer cans everywhere, how do you think these people would react to their properly property being littered with beer bottles? Do you think they would ever want to run to us again? I understand that not everyone wants to, and this is just slide four, I'm like eight. I understand that not everyone wants to hang out with their family 24/7, but I'm going to require that when you are with the family, you are not on your phone or playing video games. You have the entire day to do what you want. You can make the time to be present with the family for an hour or two at night. She goes on in detail about how they should behave, what they have been doing, how she loves treating them to these trips, and it's a big financial burden for her. She pays the cleaners and she pays for this and that, but she expects people to act at a certain level. Now, I went by the way, the bottom of the pages says I'll have what she's having. So I believe this is an excerpt from her book that came out in 2025 based on what I've tried to cobble together to understand this. Yeah, okay. So I think that those are good roles. I just don't know why she's telling this to us and blowing up her family. So I genuinely make shit. Based on what she's told me, your family is piece of shit. That's like, why would you ever want to paint your family in that light? If that's actually what happened, good on you for sending that email. These kids need to know, be nice, whatever. But it's like, why the fuck are you telling me this? Why is it in your book? It's in your book. It's in your book. It's in your book. It's in your book. It's in your book. It's in your book. It's in your book. can be with her siblings and then she does like trips for the kids. No, like that's all good. Like why are we talking about this? Why is this now a topic on our podcast? I don't know. There's family vacation dynamics. And like just writing them look so badly. You make them look like actual animals. Yeah. And I'm not doubting that any of this happened. I'm like, yeah, they need to start talking to like kids can, you know, be bad. I don't even know who these people are. Now I know her siblings names and and they have all these kids. And like if I'm their friend at school, I'm like, no, I didn't understand at all what I was reading. And I didn't try. Like I took like five minutes like a swipe and stuff. And then I stopped caring. And like now that I think I know, um, okay. And like maybe she's like saying it so like people will share it is like, okay, these are really good rules for vacation. And like they are, but it's just like so harsh and it also creates this dynamic of like I pay for everything. Yeah, I know. These are my rules and every all of you fall in line. And that's just like a weird dynamic. I agree. Like when you are the wealthy one and you you want to be great. But like if everyone is acting like an animal, like you sort of do have to throw in like, yeah, I bet you're paid for this. Yeah. But if you're like holding it over everyone, it's like the strip sucks. Like putting it in your book and putting it on your Instagram. Yeah. No, this is weird. I think it's weird that she put it on her Instagram. Completely agree. Yeah. Completely. Yeah. And then our fifth and final story, a Julie Andrews documentary is coming to Disney plus, you know, I was just taking the other day. And like I know saying this out loud is going to give me like, like shit, like I never seen the other music. I know. Jurner, you would love it. I know. And every time I'm looking for a movie and it comes up up like that. And you know, I've never seen this. Like, let's watch it. He's like, now I do want to watch it. We should watch it as a family because like the kids will love it. The kids will like it. It's like the song from it. Like there are so many. Oh, the hills are alive with the sound of me for sure, but also rain drops on roses and whiskers. Oh, I'm kidding. It'll vice, right? Hey, it'll. Yeah, you need to watch it. Yeah. Don't worry me. Of course. Do a dear. What song is in from it? Yeah. Um, I don't know. She's in other stuff, but like the story pop in. She kind of needs a documentary. I love that. Yeah. Princess Diaries. I don't know if everyone knows this. I am being reminded myself that she voiced Lady Whistle down in Bridgerton. I did not know that. No, she's like a lowkey queen. Legendary. And I think that kids these days, myself included, like don't even know the breadth of her work. I find it interesting that like in everything that she's in, whether it's like a hundred years ago, or like Princess of Janelle, but yeah, she looks exactly the same. Like, you're telling me that in sound of music, she's what? Like 17. She looks 87. Like, she's like eternally old. Yeah. But maybe that's just like because of the way people like looked then. Yeah, also it is like the pixie cut. She's had the pixie cut not just in old age. She's had a forever. Yeah. I'd love to see her with like a loose wave, you know, each, each wave. Yeah, I think this is going to be great. Totally. I didn't know like Disney Plus was like doing documentaries. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. It's the same documentarian who did Billy Eilish's documentary. And I very sadly missed that. Also the September issue, which was very good. That was a production company. They also did never seen September issue. I don't think so. Oh, it's so good. I do think that it will be well executed. Yeah. And when I think of people who like need documentaries, I never would have thought Julia Andrew. I tell you guys, I watched the Martin Short documentary. Mm-hmm. You did. I liked it. I've thought about it a couple of times. Like, sometimes I watch documentaries and I never think about it again. Yeah. And now I just, do you want to like add it to your list of documentaries? No. No. No. That you talk about. But I also talk about any Murphy's documentary a lot. Mm-hmm. Not more than Martin Short. And okay. Is there anything you want to add to the list? No. Okay. The list will be in contact. Yeah. Just Lady Gaga, 5-2 and Katy Perry, part of it. And Shawn Mendes. Well, no, that's the other list. The bad one. Documentaries that didn't need to be made. Shawn Mendes, wonder. And it's literally one. Yeah, I don't need to be right in time. It's just one. No, don't. Let me just search for 5-2. Oh, because we definitely have this. Yeah. We do. I know I do. 5-2. Did I do numbers? You said 5-2. I hope I didn't 5-2. Just like Gaga. Okay. Gaga. Here it is. Don't reverse piece of work. So he's under the file of Claudia's repeated stories. And then it's celebratory documentaries Shawn Mendes versus Lady Gaga. It's perfect. Like, documentaries that needed to be made and documentaries that did not need to be made. Yes. That Shawn Mendes wonder. Like literally nobody needed that. Nobody in the whole fucking world. Even Shawn Mendes is number one fan didn't need that. But even Lady Gaga's number one hater needed 5-2. Yeah. Yeah. And like, 5-2 can be swapped with Joan Rivers' piece of work. Oh, that's just. Two perfect documentaries. That is just. Yeah. And if you're looking for Joan Rivers' piece of work, like you can only watch it on YouTube and you have to buy it and I do own it. It's in the hall of fame. It is in the hall of fame. It might be the number one documentary of all time. I know. I could literally quote it. Like, it's so good. Yeah. Well, those are the fast-sized stories. And I feel like, so you definitely need to know the first one just to like remind everyone that we were raised. You needed to know the second one that Whitney Rose just didn't rose. Like things we were right about. Yeah. I was just like searching at Glanger and Twitter because I like want to know what the streets are saying. And they're doubting, right? Yes, there's definitely a lot. No one's like grieving the loss of this relationship. No, I saw it. Like, I saw something. Well, there are like the people who started the whole Nika Landry of fandom and like those fan edits during the season. These were two people. If you're not familiar, they were on the line. I want to put this person on blast, but that's. I can't stop shaking. I put so much love and effort into Nika Landry and this happens. I think this is satire. They literally saved my life and I owe them so much. I don't know how to survive this. That's satire. You sure? Absolutely. That's funny. You never know. I know. Especially because like people who Nika Landry was like, I'm glad she had that hair. I thought that was real. No, you're funny. Well, that's our show, you guys.
