I actually watched a second screen experience of my own last night. - You did. - Gray's Anatomy during the game because every player kept getting hurt that I felt like it was only a cross over. - That was good. - My years were showing I was trying to learn something about what's going on. - Yeah. - Galations feels, isn't Gray's Anatomy based in Seattle? - Yes. - Yeah. - So Gray's Anatomy, Hospital in Seattle. - Yes. - So Kristina, our producer confirms that. - I watched like the first 11 seasons of Gray's Anatomy, but now that they're on the line. - It's been dreamy, right? - Yes, yeah. It's dreamy and McDreamy. - People don't know that before you worked here at ESPN, you were just McDreamy. That's, yes, that's what I did in life. Yes. - I don't want any hats. - No comment. - Let's talk about Wednesday night football. To be honest, we will hit the Brock Bauer's news right after Wednesday night. - Yes, agreed with that. It's a big kick in the. - I love watching football, but you can probably miss me with Wednesday night football from here on out, guys. Wasn't really great. A lot of injuries, unfortunately, that really derailed this game. Let's start right off the top because right off the rip, unfortunately, Sam Donald goes down and that we thought was going to have a major impact on what happened. Turned out JSN is still pretty legit. Football, even without him. How do you feel about what Sam Donald's missing time is going to do to this offense field? - Yeah, so we're talking at 10 o' 2 a.m. on Thursday morning. We'll see whether we get more information. I'm assuming we get more information today. The good news is that Mike Beddonald, the coach of the Seahawks after the game last night, said we got some great news on Sam, which, reading between the lines there, I think there was an initial fear that like this might be serious. It's a hip injury. Could this be the kind of thing that, you know, as you rail Sam season before it really gets going, not the case, no fractured hip. He sounds like he could miss some period of time. They do have 10 days before their next game, but it doesn't sound like worst case scenario. We don't know how long he's going to miss, but I think we can agree that until Sam Donald returns, while JSN did absolutely mash last night, eight catches, 122 yards in the touchdown. What a player he is. - He's awesome. - The upside of JSN is decreased a little bit without saying like the touchdown equity for this offense, they scored just one last night. Not saying JSN's gonna be a, you know, wide receiver 17 for me in my week two rankings, but when the tier is other three or four players, JSN plus Jamar Chase Pukinakuba and maybe Amon Ross St Brown, I think it's fair to say that, you know, going into next week, my confidence would probably be the lowest of JSN out of those four guys. - Yeah, no doubt. And I think that if you look at the Siox offense, going into, even to yesterday who are going into the season, you're probably only starting two guys. You were starting JSN of course, and you were probably starting generic in price. I don't think that change is going forward. The matchup's gonna be later as well. I will say this about Drew Locke, 16 of 22, 180, 70 yards had that touchdown too. JSN, JSN did a lot of that work. - He did. - Short pass made a great play. He was fine. He was serviceable. But if you look back at his 24 career games in the NFL for Drew Locke, just 14.9 fantasy points per game, he's reached 16 points once in his last 10 games. And that's a quarterback side. He does that a little bit with his legs, but that shows you that he's not putting up enormous passing numbers. I don't think that's going to change in the Seattle offense. It's going to try to run the ball. And as you saw last night, their defense is outstanding. Like games amazing with all those injuries. And they're still amazing. Game script is going to be in their favor going forward. So I would you say their next two games are? He said they're like Arizona and Washington on the road. They're probably going to be ahead or competitive. They're going to be able to run the football. I know we'll talk about generic price in a second, but I think it's beneficial for him. And again, at the end of the day, it doesn't change a lot in terms of who you're sitting or starting in this offense. JS ends locked in price. You're probably starting. That's it. Let's talk about it during the price. I was going to say, yeah, how did you guys feel about him? Because when I watched Jardarian price out there, he clearly looked like the better of the back. So you've got a little bit of passing game work. But there was a commitment to get everybody the ball. I don't mean to give you those numbers. First, he played half of the snaps. And he played 24 snaps 21 for George Launy. It's 44% and then Emmanuel Wilson, who they liked in short yardage. I guess came in and played three snaps. In the game, the positives, I would say for price, though, in terms of that usage, he was the lead ball carrier. He had 10 carries. Hollani had eight, but when it was early downs and they wanted to run the football generally, they wanted to lead toward him. He did outplay Hollani in that area. Also, and this one's a big one. Routes run 11 for Jardarian price. Not a big number, but it was number one at running back. It's not like they leaned heavily on Hollani. He ran seven routes, just one for Emmanuel Wilson. So that plus that was his first game. They're going to go into game two. The run defense is going to be easier. I think this was a point in the right direction for him. I think no matter what side of the Jardarian price argument you are on coming into the year, you could make the case for or make the case against. Right? Like you could use is, it looks awesome. Like the guy's a very talented runner, no surprise there. We knew that coming into this year. Next week when they play Arizona, he might get 20 carries. He might turn those 20 carries into 120 yards and a touchdown. The case against him was, is he going to have any passing game involvement? Well, he had six receiving yards last night. So a minimal role in the receiving game, compared to guys that we are profiling as top 15, maybe top 10 ish running backs, right? Like he's going to have to be an elite, elite rusher to have anywhere close to that value going forward. I will say that Mike brought the Emmanuel Wilson point up. That was annoying. At one point, the Seahawks had the ball second and one at like the four yard line, an opportunity to punch it in. And Emmanuel Wilson was on the field. They ended up getting called for a false start. So it changed the complexion of the situation right on the spot. But I would like to see Seattle be a little bit more committed to Jardarium price and those got to have it situations. But I would say still like a, I think he enters. Well, next week will be a different story. I would say generally after one game, if you said to me, how would you value Jardarium price? I would say he's right on the borderline of a low end RB two or a strong flex. I am. I'm left feeling optimistic in part because I think with week one, I felt like they had a game plan that they knew they wanted to distribute the football. And when you saw Jardarium price get the ball, he showed that he was clearly the best of the three guys in that backfield. We already knew that. That wasn't a question. But when you look at it now moving forward, do we decide, okay, now we saw it in week one. Do we decide to give maybe just a couple more snaps to Jardarium price? Do we see it slowly start to expand over the next couple weeks? I don't think it'll be a big jump. But I'm interested to see if that slowly starts to increase. And then we just hope that once Zach Charmone is back, it doesn't retract. Correct. Yeah, field. How many NFL plays? How many NFL snaps do teams usually average? Well, roughly, roughly, I think we could have the answer was like 62. Yeah, it's like 62, 64 in that range. Well, see, I only ran 47 plays last night. So that also is not going to continue, which is why all the number, like they 24 pass attempts, a 22 total carries two of which were by Drew Locks. So an enormous game. There'd be about 15 more plays. That probably gets Darian Price to maybe an extra target. Maybe five more carries. You know, and that's, that looks a lot better. So I wouldn't be totally concerned about the overall counting stats for him. I think it's, it's good. It's a good sign kind of where he fell in the total pole, like going forward. My main concern is like when Charmone comes back, I do think they're going to split it. But that was a draft season conversation right now. At least for the next few weeks, you could feel good starting. Feeling good about that. I am feeling concerned. Unfortunately, other side of the ball, AJ Brown left the game. Dealing with a high ankle sprain, we saw him get banged up. Kind of took like a knee right to the ankle when there's a defender landed on it. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks, I would assume without AJ Brown. Obviously, we don't know an official timeline. But when you just think about historically high ankle sprains and what it means, you're probably thinking of a couple of weeks. You're going to be with that AJ Brown. How is that going to make Drake May and this offense in the way you guys are looking at them? On the plus side for the Patriots and Drake May matchups get easier, right? It's probably hard to find a matchup as difficult as Seattle. Maybe Houston would be in that same territory when they play Houston later this season. That being said, I mean, this Patriots wide receiver room completely changed when AJ Brown was off the field going into next week when they play home to Pittsburgh. My snap reaction is nobody from the Patriots wide receiver or tight end room is going to be a line of block for me. That's my snap reaction when I think about this because what we saw last night, a micro you can highlight this a little bit more is that Romeo Dobbs was out there when they were passing, but he also was not at least at the beginning of the game. Playing as much as a player who now makes $17 million per year, you would think would be playing. Yeah, I talked about this throughout earlier this week. I look forward to week one to get a good feel of like snap counts and routes and that kind of like usage for these players. Probably the biggest surprise last night was Matt Collins clearly running ahead of Romeo Dobbs. Now to your point when they were running the ball, the Collins was out there when they were throwing. Dobbs was out there. So we're in 28 routes. I was second on the team to only pop Douglas. ran 32. He would have been third had a J Brown knockout injured, but it's not a, it's not a role that's going to lead to any sort of fantasy relevance. That's a bad sign. They paid him a lot of money to come in and you're running behind macons. It's not, I'll do respect to macons. He has a role. And he was targeted a lot actually last season, frankly, he might be targeted a lot over the next couple of weeks. So I agree with you. I'm not going to touch any of these guys. I think that you can look if Brown didn't get hurt. I would have came in here and said, look, if you took a lay flyer and dobs cut him, like, it's just not going to happen. He's not going to play enough. He said he had three targets last night, even with Brown missing half the game and then every single catch bad drop. Yeah. Bad, bad, bad. But with Brown out, I mean, he in theory should be their number one receiver. I mean, again, he's still ran 28 routes. So I think you could hang tight if you want. He's, you can kind of loose if you, you know, want to go out and have, you know, there's a lot of good waiver options. But I think it's possible. He's going to be on the flex radar. It's likely he'll be on the flex radar last, uh, next week. But, um, it's certainly not a line up lock. I won't go that far. Tough night for Drake May. I mean, just Pat, like real life story bigger than the fantasy, in my opinion, because he has like, Drake May has got to get going against good teams. Just period fact and the story. This guy who nearly won MVP last season, he was not the MVP last night. And this is now five straights concerning performances from Drake May against quality teams. Trevor Lawrence needs to get 9.83 fantasy points from Mike and I to win that week one board bet. Let's get to the news on Brock Bauer's though, Daniel. Let's talk about it. Unfortunately, we got news yesterday from Adam Schaefter Brock Bauer's underwent a surprise surgery guys that I don't think any of us knew anything about. We are told he's going to miss a game or two for what it's worth. Unfortunately, this is major news for us because we had no idea coming into week one that this was going to be a thing they're taking on the Miami dolphins here. We're going to throw up Adam Schaefter's tweet on the screen as well. But it really kind of shuts down the number of people you're looking to play in this game. We'll talk about the game in a moment. But Brock Bauer's went, sorry, I got this sweet here. Underwent a Maniscus trim Tuesday and Dallas expected to miss a game or two sources told rap sheet and Schaefter got banged up in a little a little bit in camp. That's it. I'm trying to find silver linings here. You know, a game or two is important. We'll see whether it ends up being a gamer to but Adam Schaefter does not just tweet things for like, you know, for craps and giggles. He does it, you know, because it's he believes it's good information. Dan Cooper is the he's the go go to guy for knees. This is Patrick, my home surgeon. He's as good as a get so, you know, one or two games to me still feels in play for Brock Bauer's other than when you get the guy you drafted gets hurt on like the opening drive. This is like about as close to like, this is a gigantic kick in the pants, right? Brock Bauer's and I, I made the case for hot take. Like he's going to set the NFL tied in single season receiving record and, and we were drafting him as a top 20 to 25 player. And now you're not going to happen to begin the season. Socks really sucks. That's a gigantic gigantic gigantic blow. Yeah, it absolutely is. It's unfortunate. I think if there's probably a handful of people still drafting tonight, I still think he's tied into a game or totally agree. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And there's a lot of pushback when I put that on social, but loved Linda. I mean, I guess you can make a case by still go Bauer's just because he has his, yeah. Bauer's can get to that level that maybe no one else that I didn't get to. So I stand by him as tied into behind McBride. I will say this. If you have Bauer's and Michael Mayer still out there just scoop him up and file him. And that's the one. Maybe that's the silver line. You can plug him in. There was four games last year that Brock Bauer's was out and Mayer played. Listen to these numbers. You tell me if these are good for a tight end. Or honestly, a wide receiver, 93% of the snaps, 25 and a half percent target share. That's huge enormous number. That tight. I mean, that's in the vicinity of what Bauer's is at generally. He filled right in one of those games was a 31 nothing loss where they had a ridiculous 28 offensive snaps. I don't know if you remember that they got blown out by the chiefs and this were not the offense was not in the field. So that was obviously a throw away game. The other three games. So he averaged 13.9 fantasy points per game at at least 16 and two of the three games. They're also facing Miami this week, which should be a great match up for the Raiders to get off to a good start. So Michael Mayer, I've met tight end 12. You could plug him right in though if you had Bauer's. I mean, if he he's out there in a ton of way for wires. I know people were scooping him up yesterday, but you can get him and plug him in. You're good for a week or two. I'm going to do. I'm going to ask Daniel about the Raiders running backs here in a second. But I'm going to do a PSA. So I'm letting our production team know, can we please clip what I'm about to say in like five seconds. A lot of people have been asking us after the Brock Bauer's report from Adam Schefter and Ian Rapp report. Why can't I put him on IR? We have said this many times before. It's worth doing it again to start to this year. Designations on the ESPN fantasy app are controlled. We outsource them to our friends over road. Why they do a great job. But until a team makes a move or announces a player to be out, whatever reporting there is, that player is not going to be ruled out. And that's just how it has always been. I know this is not I think that happens often. But there was a time when Ben Rathasberger was like reported to be out. And then he ended up playing in the game on Sunday for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The problem is that while our reporters are amazing until a team comes out and says this guy is out like when the Falcons said recently, Michael Pentax Jr is going to be inactive in week one. And so if you have Pentax, you can put him in your IR spot. Jordan Tyson is in place on IR. You can put him in your IR spot. I know it's something that frustrates people. It's a very fine line. I get it. But until Brock Bauer's is ruled out by the Raiders and their head coach, like two hours before this report came out, say, we expect to have all of our guys on the field on Sunday until they make that ruling as things presently stand within our game. Brock Bauer's is not IR eligible. I get why you're frustrated. That's how it goes. None of the three of us can make that change by ourselves. That is how things are. We will see if things are just at some point. But until Brock Bauer's is ruled out, he is not going to be IR eligible. Yeah. If you do want to tweeted us and let us know how frustrated you are at Mike Clay NFL, I've already gotten those. I address this on social and people are very mad at me about it. I'm like, directed to the Raiders. Like the other ones that said everybody's playing. They said Bauer's is out. Then he'd be out last thing really quickly. Michael mayors $2,700 if you want to use him in draft Kings this week at the tight end spot is a really great hunt play to be able to save some money and go somewhere else with some bigger money in your roster. All right, let's talk about the running backs. Mike, what does this mean? Did this do anything for your Ashton Gentie projection with where we think he's going to be? Really. I mean, maybe he gets an extra target out of this. I think they'll try to distribute them again. Michael Mayer, his target chairman of ours has been out. It's been the same. Yeah. Plus they brought an e and Thomas to that guy, you know, we could see a target or two. Not a big number. But there's ways they can spread these out. I don't think it's going to affect Ashton Gentie a lot. We've talked about this throughout the week. This is a great match up for the Raiders running back. So we expect Gentie to be active. You guys just buried a lead. He practiced in fully. Yeah, practiced. Yeah, practiced. Well, so we're not really worried about it. It's possible. Maybe they are like, you know what? Mike Washington's been playing well. He had the injury. Maybe we roll him back a little bit from where we might normally be. Not really concerned about that. But even if it's 80% of normal Ashton Gentie, you're going to start him. He's a terrific player. He's going to play a lot regardless. And it's a great match up against Miami. He can be limited in score two touchdowns in a game where this should be one of the Raiders' best games of the season or certainly they're their highest winning percentage chance at home against this dolphins team. So it should be all systems go for Ashton Gentie. You have them. You're firing them up without pause. And he's the only running back that you're even considering. I'm not playing Mike Washington Jr. anywhere unless that was the reason why he's like the Mike Washington factor is how much he detracts from the back. It's at all of Ashton Gentie. Yeah, no stand-alone value there. Insurance elite insurance running back, but you're not starting. You saw on the lineup lock screen that Miami has one. It's Devon H in unless you guys feel differently. There's no dolphin that I am intrigued by plain in week one. Hopefully Malik Welles Malik Willis plays well. But otherwise. Yep. Not trafting. Not trusting a dolphin's wider. Yeah, I'm going to be watching those two rookie third round receivers closely, though. Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas. I love that they are not messing around. Some teams are like, ah, they're rookies and Bell missed a lot of time at the ACL. We're going to bury them. No way. They're listed as starters and they're getting the vote of confidence that if they're the best receivers, they're going to play at Chris Bell. I mean, as you know, he could have been a first-round pick. So he's like, if you're in a deep league and he's still out there on waivers, not a bad guy to add to the end of your bed. Most important thing to watch in this game is the same thing that we're watching in a handful of other games. How often does Malik Willis put the ball in the hands of Devon H. And 45 to the air. If he has three targets, it's going to be a problem and we're going to start panicking majorly after week one. Yep. All right. You guys got this game. We're going to pick every game by the way. The Raiders. Raiders picked. Yeah, we got a game picks. I think they're all not up there. Oh, I thought we. I picked the Raiders in this way. There we go. Oh, I guess I picked the doll. Oh, no, I picked the Raiders too. Yeah, thank you. Yeah, I'm going to forget my picks. You guys can just flash mine. There we go. Love that. Three for three on the Raiders producer. You producers helped us on that one. The dolphin. All right. Let's move forward here to the game tonight. We got a big one. Yeah, bring it. We got a game. I guess it's tonight slash tomorrow, depending on what you call tonight. You're in the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers go down under. There are four lined up locks in this game, Christian McCaffrey, Kirin Williams, Puka Nakua and de Monte Adams. I'm not doing it. No, you got to do it now. Come on. That was too good. I'm going to. I'm bad at this. Look, I had to do it as a punishment last year and it was awful. Yeah, so I feel before we even got away. I know my lane. It's on a height high. One of my favorite shows of all time, right? It's comedy back in the day. Yes, this game is being played in Australia. I'll stop speaking in an in an Australian accent. Great job. It wasn't bad. But yes, the game will be played tonight in the States tomorrow in Australia. That's right. It's a huge one. Do you see the thing about Raheem Morris? How he's going to miss his Hold her whole birthday. Is he's traveling or at the time change? - Shut up. - So he's literally leaving the day before his birthday and when they get there it will be the next day. So he's this whole birthday. - That's the following. - He left when he was 49 and by the time he got there he missed his 50th birthday. He's so committed to the 49ers and he refused to turn 50. - I didn't know that part, that's one of them. - I love that. - All right, so yeah, you saw the four line-up blocks. No surprise there with the Rams. I am interested in Blake Korum. To see how much role he plays and I say that because our friend Adam Schaefter who's amongst the most tapped in people in anything in life. - Yeah. - Did giraffe, Blake Korum and Kyron Williams, he'd have to play Korum early in the war room league. Which I think his thought process was just I want all of the Rams back to every game. It'll be productive and aggregate. It's a 16 team league. So it's running backs fly off the board there. But obviously I have my eyes on Blake Korum. But let's talk about to me, I think the most interesting thing of this game is George Kettle, who's off the injury report tonight. Are we cranking him up? I am not cranking him up. I have him a tight end 17. It's just hard to imagine him missing so much time being in doubt even travel for this game and then playing a full complement of snaps. I know, you know, he, look, it might be a simple, we know a tight end is. Like he could just have two targets and catch a touchdown and end up tight end 11. - Eli Rodin. - Yeah, exactly. So I, look, if you're in a really tight spot at tight end and you want to take a shot at it, fine. But I would stay away from this one. He's tight end 17 for me. I'm not going to start him. And I'm certainly not going to start Jake Ton just either. We are keeping an eye on him in case Kettle was out. If Kettle is a surprise and active, Ton just you can file in any average just a hair under 12 fantasy points per game in place of Kettle last season, which would have ranked eighth over the full season. So that's the only path I'm considering a Niners tight end this week as if Kettle's out. Ton just could be filed in. That's it. - Are rankings all reflect a similar value for George Kettle? I think the another question for the 49ers offense is, are you playing a wider series tonight? I think at some point this season, this 49ers wide receiver was so old, right? Mike Evans, Debo Samuel, Christian Kirk who's on IR. But that's three very tenured receivers with Dejon tripling is like the man waiting in the wings. He generated all the hype during the preseason. I just don't think that tripling is going to be a thing coming out of the shoots here. I think it's going to take some time before tripling plays a meaningful role. And while Mike Evans was not exactly the most exciting target in drafts, worth noting he does make $17 million a year now. And the Niners have been saying all the right things about Mike Evans. I have him as wide receiver 36 in this game. Prior years when you're playing against the Rams, you were concerned about the past rush, but you were not concerned about the cornerback room. Now you are as the Rams imported the Chief's cornerback room. And they now have Trent McDuffy and Jalen Watson playing behinds, well, not Aaron Donald, but Miles Garrett and the rest of that outstanding front. So tough matchup here tonight, yes. I've got Mike Evans as wide receiver 36. Debo Samuel is wide receiver 43. And Dejean Shribbling right on the border of my top 50. Do you guys agree or disagree that if you're playing a Niners wide receiver tonight, it is Mike Evans. I agree with Evans. I've struggling second, but it's close. I think that'll be a close call. I'm pumped to see struggling though. One of my the most anticipated players of the week, I would say, I'm nervous for all kinds of outcomes. In the sense that like if you play as every single snappen has 12 targets, I'm like, damn it, I was way too low on the guy. Or if it's I think I'll be busy or it's like, yeah, he plays 12 snaps. And you're like, oh, I forget the preseason is different. I'm more in on Stribbling than I am. I'm like Evans and in terms of draft capital spent or exposure. Yes, but I think week one of it. You're oh, you like Stribbling over Evans week one. Yeah, I would play I would play him over Evans. Interesting. Okay. Yeah. I'm I'm deferring to age and experience. And frankly, like Mike Evans, obviously not the same level of player. But like the upside of Mike Evans is still pretty damn high right now. But you see those routes he was running. He was doing this. Yeah. He was a try and real hard guy. I got. He was running some very is a touchdown machine and in a high efficient offense. He might be able to have some unsustainable efficiency this year in terms of yard. Some divide Adam's like, yeah, very very much. That's his best chance. I did not again. I very little Mike Evans exposure. I don't think I've any Mike Evans exposure, honestly, in drafts, I have not I have a lot of Stribbling. So just have one Mike Evans in a deeper league. He also feels like you could tell me week five rules around Mike Evans is widers. He was 13 on the year and we're like, holy crap, we missed the boat. And then by Thanksgiving, you could be like, I don't know, that's that is exactly my expectation. It's like the reverse share my love slow start for love and then he's going to be worth it. Evans is the opposite. I think he'll come out. He'll be like, all right, three touchdowns and four games and then it's going to start to cool a little bit and went in Johnston, like last year. Yeah. Kind of a thing. Actually, a lot of guys did that. Like, let's calm down on the Ibuka. All right. Hey, no hate at all. All right. For what it's worth, I would just say this, I think that with Mike Evans and Dejan Stribbling, if there was someone that I thought the defense would be more keyed in on, it would be Mike Evans. You're slightly easier match up for Dejan Stribbling in this one because of that. He's going to be on the perimeter. We'll see McDuffie might shadow him in this game. I'm taking the Rams in this one. I've got, when you look at these lineup blocks, we got Bajon Robertson obviously, Drake London, Kyle Pits, all the Falcons that you expect. Should I try to read the lineup blocks in the accent of the game where where the game is? I don't like that field. Do you have dealers? Yinzes. Yeah. I don't really have. Use guys. I need to like import tone digs our buddy from Pat McAfee show. Maybe just pat himself. Of course. Pittsburgh legend. I would screw this up. So I'm not even a bother trying. Michael Pittman Jr. And DK McCaff are flex considerations, potentially not lineup blocks. I would assume Mike. I put them as lineup blocks, both top 26 and I kind of lean towards 12 team league. So yeah, I think I have them in this matchup. I'm firing them up. Well, let's talk about the running backs then. Those are lineup blocks, by the way, from the on the screen. That's what we show. I've got Rico Dattle ahead of Jalen Warren in this one. I'm curious where you guys are at, but I just like Rico Dattle as the one better, pure running back. When I look at what I think this Mike McCarty offense is going to be, I just think he's the better runner, the Pittsburgh style of running back as a part of that. I know Jalen Warren's more like the pass catching guy that we think of. Jalen Warren was a starter for the entire season last year, right? Rico Dattle was a part-time starter half way through the year because of injury. He only had one less reception than Jalen Warren. He wasn't that bad of a pass catcher from that perspective. So right now, just like with the way that I think the Pittsburgh dealers are going to play offense, week one, until I see Jalen Warren prove to me that he needs to be the guy. I think Rico Dattle just feels like the better, safer, potential low-end RB2 play in Warren is more like a low-end flex consideration. Probably a better pure runner is Rico Dattle, a better finisher at the goal line. Definitely. He'll have more touchdown ups. Familiarity with Mike McCarty. All working his favor. I think Jalen Warren is a good runner. I think he's a very capable pass catcher, and there's obviously familiarity, reliability, and play there for him as well. So I have doubtal, I've screwed this up. I have doubtal at RB27, and I got to recall my Jalen Warren rank, but the bottom line is all very close. One ahead of doubtal. The hope here is, I actually think for our purposes, the better thing for us would be that we avoid dead zones, which is like, they both kind of play enough to render them, not saying this is judarian prices, future or destiny. But like last night, where it's like, everybody plays enough, and none of the roles are impactful enough, and what we don't think is going to be this amazing offense in Pittsburgh, then it's like, yeah, they both get 12 opportunities a game, 12 to 15 opportunities a game, and they both average between like ten and 12 fantasy points for game. Something like that. Yeah. Look, if they have 64 offensive snaps, it might be 32, 32 or 33, 31, you know, I mean, I think this is going to be a retro committee 50, 50 split with a lean towards Warren and passing situations, that'll on early downs. That's not good enough for me to consider one of these guys for my RB two slot. Yeah, maybe at some point one moves ahead a little bit and becomes a flex option, but also Mike McCarthy hates running backs from a fantasy perspective. Roodle. Bad target. It hasn't been nice every season. So I've talked about this throughout the off season. So stay in a way for week one. A couple of things here. I know they're lineup blocks, but I'm legitimately curious how two O plays for Drake London's purposes. Not that Drake London got great quarterback play last year, but two O was so awful in the preseason. And this feels like the shortest leash in the history of starting quarterback leashes, like please to keep it together enough to feed Drake London to the football 12 times on that. Yeah. And he's done these. It's hard to believe he would just fall out. It's not like he's 40 years old, you know, he's still a prime agent. He's in Miami. He was able to get the ball in the hands of his playmakers. I know. They've had some big fantasy season. So hopefully he can do it here. This feels like, I mean, is there anybody that I'm missing that's had what feels like a worse preseason than to a well, a couple of Tesla, Sean Watson was pretty poor as well. Yeah, it's, it's a good answer. Sorry. It was. They gave you McCarthy would probably get a car. Yeah. Yeah. You be three, right? And we're after one of your lions. That's talking. That's right. So Mike, while we wait for those, does Marshawn Lloyd crack that lineup lock list? He does not. He's RB 26 this week. This is a wait and see. Very similar scenario to Jadarian Price. Actually, this guy is entering his 30 year in the NFL. He's only appeared in one game. It's a little bit different, but a lot of excitement around him with no Josh Jacobs there. He finally gets an opportunity former day two draft pick. So I'm, again, very fascinated to see what kind of role he plays in this one, but I do expect to see quite a bit of Chris Brooks, who is a good change of pace guy, along with the manual Wilson behind Josh Jacobs the last couple of years. And I expect that tomorrow, or what day is it? Thursday on so Sunday. We get the promotions on Saturday. Yes. We will see Pierre Strong activated as well. Could see a few touches as well. So probably going to be a three at a backfield. I would think Marshawn Lloyd is in the 50 to 50, 55% snap share range should be the lead ball carrier, maybe not a lot of pass catching involvement and pretty good, pretty good defense here in Minnesota. So at the end of the day, no 55 jokes. Okay. Why not? Are you out? Yeah. I'm out. This is serious business. This season's here. Two things. Okay. Um, I don't agree with that. We don't know. We don't know. I am heavily invested in this game because I do have some Marshawn Lloyd shares. But also because our Boscow Clark plays in dynasty lead, the three of us play in. It's about half ESPN or is it half former colleagues of ours here at ESPN. And we made a trade probably four, maybe three, four years ago. He was kind of pivoting to get younger. And I kind of saw an opportunity to, like, make a push. And I acquired Derek Henry for Javante Williams. And there was some, flotsum involved as well. One of the players going from my roster to Hayes was Marshawn Lloyd. And now, like, four years later, I guess it wasn't four years later. And like one of the jokes, we, he always would be like, you know, be random. Like week nine, he'll be like, currently anticipating 22 points from Marshawn Lloyd. Right. He continues to hang around on Scott's bench sooner or later. That's me. That's right. Benson, right? I want to keep trade Benson forever. And I can say for no reason. So this is a big moment here for Scott Clark's team. Yeah. Huge. Yeah. So you can start him. We have a lot of flexes. Dynasties probably. That's why Dynasties the best. It's because Scott made a big trade last year himself. And what you acquired, Josh Allen for the cost of two future first round picks. Plus, and this was like early last season. Like I think even before the season, JJ McCarthy and Travis Hunter. And think about where we were last year at this time with both of those players before the season had begun. Could JJ McCarthy be a breakout top 12 quarterback? Is Travis Hunter going to be a potential top 15 wide receiver? Yeah. It's some dynasty can be the best. It can also be the worst. The worst. Oh, that's so fun. All right. So Marshawn Lloyd is from Mike is that I want to discuss the Packers wide receivers. As always, they are kind of an enigma. How do you rank all of these players worth noting before I get into the receivers? Tucker Kraft full goal yesterday. He is going to play in week one. We were expecting that, but just an update on where he stands health wise. Here is how I have this kind of reminds me of my 49ers analysis earlier, more or less so like I know exactly what's going to happen. More so, here's how I have them ranked in case you want to follow said rankings. You guys know that I think Christian was in ready for his best season yet. He is wide receiver 26 for me. So inside my top 30, I consider him, you know, a borderline line up lock. He's certainly a strong flex consideration. Matthew Golden wide receiver 37. Jaden Reed wide receiver 44. Jaden Reed will probably have five games this year where he looks like the best Packers wide receiver. I think the other 10 to 12 games are going to be games you're saying to yourself. Why would I ever bother starting this player? Golden is super intriguing because of the breakout possibility. The Packers made this big investment in him a year ago. He also had zero touchdowns as a rookie. So Watson is my guy out of the three Packers wide receivers or either of you confidence in any Packers wide receiver to the point he would be inside your top 30. Not this week. They're all outside my top 30, but I do have Watson the highest for this week. But again, it's 32 33. And then I've Jaden Reed down at 39. Remember the Vikings, we expect to still be very good defensively. Yeah. And they allowed the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers last season. They are good. I feel like like I think because of what went on with the offense, they just quietly got the job done. But they shut down receivers last year. And again, they should be very good in that area again this year. Even shutdown. Jefferson last year. Yeah, you're right. They were that good. They were just so good in practice that they couldn't even get going and win the game has confidence. Confidence confidence. Yeah. Yeah. I'm avoiding these receivers for week one for the most part. Mike took the Packers. You took the Packers. I took the Packers and this one. Where did our producers go? Packers all around. Wow. Yeah. He said that's in part because Quentin. I would reduce the Packers fans. So they had to do it. Please, please, please, please, please, please count them. Murray. Do your job. Oh, that's the only thing we want. Yes. What's that job? Okay. I think it's, you know, again, we've been using sort of like five-ish games missed as a potential guest for Josh Jacobsen. We don't know, obviously. But yes, I would say he deserves to be rostered. Agreed. Yeah. Reserve sounds like the wrong choice of words. I know what you mean. I think he is a player that would bring value on your fantasy roster right now based up what we know. You're right. But enough to put him over Quinch on Judgans who should have pushing for 20 carries in this game. No, go Judgans. We're all in this together. That's why I was excited in my arms to you guys. I was like one catch for 30 yards in this first NFL game. And that was again, that's a rare for those guys drafted that early. They usually have a solid first game, but he did not. He was probably like some sort of foreshadowing. These one of two of those top 15 receivers over the past decade. That had a major. A lot of times it's cool to be like one of two. And we watched Sean Tucker on a points per touch basis. Sean Tucker was RB 11 last year, which is insane. That just shows you that his, like he is a touchdown vulture at the goal line. That's what that says to me. And Kenny Gainwell is an unbelievable pass catcher. There is no more ceiling. It doesn't really feel like for Bucky in the same way, not in the same way. So because of that, it's just if you're starting him, he's like a low end RB two that you're hoping falls into the end zone. Falls right outside of the top 20. I would guess for Mike because he's not a lineup log. Interesting to see how this bangles run defense looks this year. I mean, they were a disaster across the board last year. So the miles Garrett trade. One of the biggest defensive trades of the off season. Yeah. Extra Lawrence. Like they think he can be a one man fix for the run defense. Hey, it wasn't just that. Jonathan Allen, boy, Maffa. Yeah. Stop the run. I mean, I cook in the back. Yeah. They made some big changes up front. I don't think that's going to be, I love and teams do that. Sometimes teams just continue to ignore weaknesses every year. And you're like, what are they doing? The bangles are very guilty of that. That's going to say they did not do that with the interior of that defensive line this year. They added some or the whole front of the defense. I feel like Bucky really fell off from an efficiency standpoint, like between his first four weeks. He was amazing. He was last year. And then it banged up and it was tough. Health issues. Yeah. Sort of ambiguity surrounding those still makes it hard to fully evaluate it. But yeah, he was not the same player after he returned as he was in the first, he was like, I think like them. Like a top 10 in terms of total touches in the first four weeks of this season. Yeah. Definitely with you. I am very curious how this Bucks Backfield plays out. I feel like the league finally got it right with Kenny Gainwell. Yeah. Making $7 million per year. And that's the kind of money that tells you he is going to play a real role. Like this could be a judari and price situation based off what we saw last night from price for Bucky Irving. I had a really quickly, just a fun stat that I want to say because it was while I was researching these guys looking at it last year. Bucky Irving. Forty-eighth out of a qualified 57 running backs and fantasy points per touch. Just unbelievably inefficient. You know who was RB one? Any Gainwell. His backfield made Kenny Gainwell. Oh wow. And how many carries inside the five yard line to Bucky Irving? I've last year. That's a great question. Might come any. It's zero. Zero. Sean Tucker had 11. Oh, I think it's eight for maybe. Yeah. 52.3% of the buck. It'll be interesting to see the way that everything is deployed. We'll talk a lot about it. The snap share and how everyone is utilized here in week one after this. Baker has my attention for this week. It's kind of a weird week for quarterbacks as we have a couple of like otherwise no brainers that are in tough spots, right? Drake May. We saw that. Why that was the case last night. Josh Allen. Now our confidence is not as low as at least mine and Mike's confidence was going into last night for Drake May. And you can make the case that there are a couple other cubies that you know, Jayden Daniels. He faces a tough Philadelphia defense. If you're going to pivot off of those guys who might be amongst the pivot options. Baker may feel and I don't think the Baker may fields upside. It's just like you can pivot to him in week one. And he can be your starter to begin the season. Like I think Baker may feel could claw his way back in to back end top 12 quarterback conversation. They were awful last season. Awful as an offense to cross the board. Two years ago, they were lighting things up. Now part of that was because their defense was so bad. They were thrown in. They were like the bangles a season ago, as far as defense and offense is concerned. I just generally think this bangles. Sorry, this buck in ears offense will be a lot better. And while I'm not I think this bangles defense is better as Mike discussed, not convinced they're fixed. Right. So I think Baker can throw the football around the yard a little bit this week. I've got a miss quarterback 13. I'm a hair lower than you. I agree. I think like two years ago, he needed enormous passing numbers to get into that top 10. I think they could do it again, though. If he said, remember, the reports were and he's not the kind of guy that's going to come out and complain that he's hurt, but reports where I like, he's pretty beat up last year and the same thing with the mecca Buka and that really affected things. Chris Godwin, Mike Evans is out. I mean, there's a lot of things that went wrong for them. So they come in healthy to this season. No doubt about it. I'm with you. There's he's one of them guys that could sneak back into relevance. How much does he now make per year? Almost as Mike beat me to it. Yeah, I think he was a wide receiver in college who became a. I think I liked Johan Johnson a little bit more than you guys this week. And you highlighted a really positive case for him. I did the same thing. Like you look at everything you did last year. Once Tyler Shock took over, he was tied at nine points per game average to 11 and a half points per game with shock as his starting quarterback, which is more than serviceable. And again, you the negative last year. Do you know how many end zone targets he had? Seven zero. Seven zero for Johan. Zero. That means that there's only room for that to go up. He was tied at nine when he had zero end zone targets. So there's at least room for there to be more there. And I'm expecting some garbage time again with a lot of points being scored in this one. I like Johan Johnson. I don't know if he had. Johan Johnson. I've him with four four end zone targets. Yeah. I don't know. That's not what I have him with four, but we'll have to see. Do you do a board bet? I want Johnson to have. I say Johan Johnson had four. He had zero last season. He had zero end zone targets with Tyler. Shock as his. Oh, with Tyler. Okay. Much smaller. He was top seven in receptions. Top five in receiving yards with Tyler. Shock as his quarterback. Like he was really good. So. Okay. All right. Gotcha. Shock. Shock. Lines. Lines. Lines. Lines. Lines. Lines. Lines. By the way, the only reason I'm a little lower and Johnson than you is that tier. It's so close. There's so many guys like Goddard, Andrews, Kelsey, Ferguson, likely mayor, talkinson, all those guys are right in that range. So, but if you want to start him this week, no qualms at that. Did we have to admit that we all were required to pick the lines to be nice today? Yeah. No, you don't have to. He put that in his contract. That's exactly what negativity about the lines here. All right. That's sweet. Next one. The commanders and the Eagles. Mike's Eagles, of course, is a big one cannot wait for that. Here are the five line of blocks. According to Mike Clay, no major surprises. Jalen Hertz, say one, Barkley, Hertz and a tasty matchup, Devante Smith, big breakout year, potentially. Jaden Daniels in a difficult matchup is still good enough to be started. Paramaklorn, same goes. Difficult matchup is still good enough to be started. Maybe he sees some quignon Mitchell tonight. Mike, you want to discuss wide receivers, not named Terry McClure and Devante. Yeah, exactly. There's a lot of notable names here, but the question is, are we starting them in week one in this in the matchup for both sides? So, we'll start with Stefan Diggs here. I'm a wide receiver, 44. I have not again, I have no exposure to him. You know, he was more palatable early in the off season before he signed, but when he signed his ADP spiked a little bit too much for me. So I've been out on him and I, I just don't see a path here against a really good Eagles defense. Remember, he was the number one target in the Patriots high scoring offense last year when it was high volume. He used the last name, easy schedule. No doubt about it. Now he goes to probably the number two in a much lower volume passing attack. Remember, no more Cliff Kingsberry. That's probably going to slow it down the offense a little bit. And of course with Jaden running that's going to lower the volume. So I just don't know if there's enough there for frankly an older wide receiver to be a consistent fantasy option that we feel really good about. So I'm not starting him in a tough matchup. You remember the Eagles allowed six touchdowns wide receivers, the entire season last year off six touchdowns to receive so much of that secondary is back besides rebling. Yeah, exactly. With Eric Wullen added to. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And you're going to see Cooper, DeGina safety more often this year. Still being the slap. It's like yeah, they're in a they're in a really good spot. So I'm avoiding digs this week in this matchup. He might be a flex option in better matchups. We'll see. For the Eagles, you know, you have the clear number one with Devante Smith after that. I think they're going to shuffle guys around early on. Now they took McKayleman in the first round, but he missed a huge chunk of the off season. So I expect a slow start for him. I'm not starting him. Don Tavine Wicks will benefit from that and he'll be on the field more, but you're really hoping that he has a long a long a big play, a big touchdown, something like that. But I thought this was really a fascinating Don Tavine Wicks that three seasons with the Packers, right? He had exactly one game with at least 24 fantasy points in all three seasons. Exactly one. When will that game come? Exactly one in all three seasons. Otherwise and all of his other games, he averaged 5.3 fantasy points. Very good. I kind of an unreal sort of good enough to get traded for, you know, and get an extension for decent money, but not good enough to be. Yeah, and I said, yeah, I don't, sorry, I finished. I said, not good enough to be in your line. Yeah. Yeah. I was going to say we talk about this through August. I don't know if they're going to be able to support a second consistent fantasy receiver with Jalen Hertzender center. So this isn't a void for me. I don't know. You guys give me a different example. Is there a backfield that feels like it may be more likely headed for a dead zone than the commanders backfield this season? Yes. Who is it? Panthers. Panthers. Okay. I think the I think I agree with you. I think the commanders are more likely to be a dead zone. I just don't know who there's unless we're shot white takes control. But I don't get that indication. Yeah. That so there are a few that come to mind. I just wanted to explain my both right there. Yeah. Sort of my pessimism for them going into this game. Specifically, I've got reshawed white clearly as the preferred target for week one. He's my RB 33, but still well outside my top 20. I'm much more likely to start a flex wide receiver than I am. I'm running back. Bill Croskey merit to core Croskey merit is my running back 42. And there was a time. Remember going in the last season, we were like, oh my god, could the commanders really rely on this diamond in the rough day three selection? Well, it's worth noting that the Eagles are the fourth biggest favorite of the week. If you're favored to be up, that means that the team who is down is more likely to be passing the football. Here's a little Mike Clay trivia for you. Oh, over the last six games of last season. How many targets did Bill Croskey merit see zero? Correct. Zero targets in the last six games. Now, new system, new coordinator, first time play collar, maybe David Blaug taps into more of Bill Croskey merit's passing game skills. Then we saw from Cliff Kingsbury, but I mean, this guy makes Derek Henry look high volume in the passing department. He had like 13 targets all year nine catches. He really needs to have 80 plus yards and a touchdown to pay off. So until further notice, I am down on Bill Croskey merit. He has his projection on the screen. 11 carries for 45 yards, one catch for seven yards. So it's a lot, looks a lot like what we saw last night from the dairy and price. We keep making that come, but that might be the usage, like Rashad White might be in a George Hollani role. And that's kind of what we're expecting. And that's why these guys were so inexpensive in fantasy drafts. They were just dead zone flyers. I found myself drafting more JCM than I did Rashad White because he was the one generating the hype throughout the offseason. So hopefully they do expand on his role. He's an exciting player, but we'll see. I need to stand on business and just say that comparing Jadaring on price to the Croskey merit doesn't sit well with me. And I understand that he's in a role. I'd be the same. Yeah, the role. That was basically Jadaring and price. I understand. As frustrated. I hear you, I hear you didn't like it. You made the joke that you had almost as many targets last night as he had his entire college career. That's actually correct. It was about a third of the way there. Not bad. We're all taking the Eagles in this game. I'm assuming. Yes, we are. I was actually they obligated to take the EU. Our producers taking the commanders get frisky. We have a, I think that Chippen Daniels, I believe his best ever fantasy game was against the Eagles. He had there was a high scoring game. He had like five touchdowns and like 33 points. So I don't know love that. Is it going to be a tough one? So a couple of things here. The game tonight's a reminder, eight thirty five is kickoff. Yep. So later than a typical prime time game again, they're playing in Australia. Oh, that's no big deal for us in the East Coast, right? We'll just stay up a little bit later, even. It felt like in a front to society last night for me to have to be up until almost midnight. Like I did get to feed the baby. I do did the dream feed. Were you on the couch? Was last night a, I was downstairs in the couch. I brought the baby has, we have a rocking chair in her bedroom. So it's, you know what? I'm tired this morning. Oh my god. We don't do a lot of TV watching. We don't do like it. But like once you get the football season, it's like I'm there nonstop. Do you bring like a blanket and a pillow out with you for these late night games in case you fall asleep? Or do you refuse to allow yourself to fall asleep?
