Speaker 1i'm ready for god's word lift up your hands one of your hand and let's let's pray your name be exalted thank you father for having loved us thank you father and god of our lord jesus christ thank you blessed holy spirit such opportunity thank you for redemption thank you for the finished work in christ thank you for all that you are doing amongst us such privilege we honor you we receive the engrafted word of god which is able to save our souls and we are never the same in jesus name the son of the living god amen hallelujah it's such an honor to be in the lord's service many years ago there was a methodist minister who got so discouraged in ministry you and he really wanted to quit ministry so this methodist minister wrote to a scottish preacher by name alexander white telling him he wanted to quit ministry because of too many things not going well alexander white wrote back to him and said the angels around the throne envy what you are doing you need to understand that to serve in the ministry of ministry it's a privilege angels don't have that's why the bible says that when we do all these things which things the angels desire to look into i mean such privilege is unfathomable even angels don't have it angels don't preach redemption they don't preach christ but we have been given such opportunity so to serve in his vineyard is the highest privilege of unfathomable proportion so i want to say congrats for being ordained as a minister of the gospel hallelujah i like to read from second corinthians chapter 4 verse 1 and verse 2 second corinthians chapter 4 verse 1 and verse 2 it says therefore singing hallelujah we have this ministry as we have received mercy we faint not but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty not working in craftiness nor handling the word of god deceitfully but by the manifestation the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of god praise the lord and these two verses are very powerful now with these two verses we are told what to preach in ministry and how to live even in the ministry so therein lies what to preach and even how to conduct ourselves i mean how to live in the ministry praise god so let's see this one it says therefore seeing we have this ministry as we have received mercy we faint not seeing we have received this is a definite article this ministry so he's referring to a specific ministry seeing we have received this ministry it's a definite article but he said therefore seeing you need to see the ministry we have received praise god you can't just be doing ministry without seeing the ministry we have been given to so do you see it he says he says therefore seeing seeing we have received this ministry so there is the ministry we have received but you have to see it so in this verse the chapter begins with therefore so anytime you read scripture and you see therefore you should ask yourself what is therefore what is therefore because it is a linking word to a previous sentence hallelujah so therefore seeing we have received this ministry so we don't know the ministry we have received until we go back to what he has been saying so let's go back to chapter 3 from verse 6 chapter 3 from verse 6 to 18 we may not read all but i'll touch on the salient things who also has made us able ministers of the new testament not of the letter but of the spirit for the letter but the spirit gave a life so which ministry is it? talking about it is the ministry of the new testament the bible says that god also has made us able competent ministers of the new testament we are ministers of the new testament he says we have received this ministry and he says we have to see it because there are many new testament ministers who are actually operating under the old testament system so he says that you have to see what we have received seeing we have received this ministry and now back to the old testament here in second corinthians 3 verse 6 he says we have been made able ministers of the new testament and he says not of the letter the letter is actually the law when he mentions the letter he's speaking of the law not of the letter that is the law but of the spirit for the letter killeth but the spirit given given life now let's go to verse seven but if the ministration of death written and engraved now from verse seven apostle paul is giving us a contrast between the new covenant and the old covenant now he's establishing that what we are committed to is the ministry of the new covenant now he wants us to see the differences between the two testament or the two covenants so he said but if the ministration of death written and engraved in stones all right he calls the oath covenant the ministration of death now the law which was given by moses which is the ten commandments was called the ministry of death or the administration of death now look at the verse but if the administration of death written and engraved in stones that was the ten commandments the ten commandments was written and engraved in stones there were two tablets but it is called the administration of death the very day at mount sinai moses stood the two tablets to descend from the topmost section of the mountain to the base that day three thousand people died you see the law actually ministered death the law is called the administration of death the reason the law was given was to show how weak we are so we can acknowledge the need of the savior the law is god's standard coming to man and it is it exposes man's wretchedness for man to see he cannot save god by his own power his own flesh his own self-will the law is to expose our weakness weak weakness to bring us to jesus christ wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to christ you understand so the law was a means for us to come to jesus so the bible says that if the administration of death written and engraved in stones was glorious so that the children of israel could not steadfastly behold the face of moses for the glory of his countenance which glory was to be done away which glory was fading then he says in verse 8 how shall not the administration of the spirit be rather glorious so this is it the old covenant which is the law is called the ministration of death now the new testament is called the administration of the spirit praise god so there's a contrast between the two covenant i want to show you which ministry you have been entrusted to the new covenant is called the administration of the spirit the administration can you see after me the administration of the spirit how shall not the administration of the spirit be rather glorious remember that when the law was given it was exactly on the day of pentecost at mount sinai and by the grace of god the day the church was born in acts chapter 2 the birthday of the church was also another pentecost and on that birthday the spirit was given in the old covenant when the old testament was integrated it was a law that was given but in the new testament when the new testament was ushered in what was given the holy spirit now your ministry is the ministry of the holy spirit what it means is that you cannot carry out this ministry without the holy ghost in fact you have to be filled with the holy ghost as newly ordained ministers be filled with the holy ghost in and the filling of the holy ghost the infilling is not just a one-time experience it's a continual experience ephesians 5 verse 18 says and be not drunk with wine wherein is excess but be filled with the holy ghost the greek is in the present continuous tense be constantly filled with the holy ghost if you are not filled the holy ghost things will not go right you end up fighting with each other envying one another competing with one another and the work will not will not be done the secret is being filled with the holy ghost until you are filled with the holy ghost you cannot minister the spirit the new testament is all about the spirit praise god so in acts chapter 2 verse 4 they were filled with the holy ghost but in acts chapter 4 verse 31 and when they had prayed the place was shaken where they were assembled together and the disciples were filled with the holy ghost in acts chapter 13 verse 52 the bible says the disciples were filled with joy and with the holy ghost so in acts 2 they were filled in acts 4 they were filled in act 18 they were filled so it's a continual experience praise god when you are filled with the holy ghost the work is different the work is different now there's a difference between a pump and a fountain have you tried to pump water with your strength before if a lady you look around to see if there's a man because it takes a lot of energy and strength so you use all your muscles to just get the water come up come up but when there is a fountain it's a free flowing water there is no stress now that's the difference between doing the ministry with your self-strength and doing the ministry with the Holy Ghost. Engaging the person in the power of the Holy Spirit, spending quality time with God, when you get filled, it's like a fountain. Things get done by itself. Smith Wigglesworth said, it is luxury to be filled with the Holy Ghost. In fact, he said, I would rather have the Spirit rest upon me for five minutes than to have a million dollars. I know you would have chosen a million dollars, but he knows what it means for the Holy Ghost to rest. One thing for the Spirit to be in you, another thing for the Spirit to rest on you. Praise God. So the law is called the ministration of death. When you start keeping the law by yourself, you encounter death. The New Testament is called the ministration of the Spirit. Now let's continue from verse 9. Our text, 2 Corinthians 3, verse 9. And then he said, For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. So then, all of the Old Testament has two designations. There are two names for the Old Testament. The Old Testament is called the ministration of death and the ministration of condemnation. Praise God. That is the law. Now the New Testament is called the ministration of the Spirit and the ministration of righteousness. So the ministry of the New Testament is the Spirit and righteousness. Hallelujah. The Old Testament, the law give us death and condemnation. So look at what it says. For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. Now let me read from the Greek because the New Testament is written in Greek. The Greek says, But if the ministration of condemnation came in glory, that's the Greek, came in glory. Now if I ask you how did you get to this meeting and you tell me that I came in glory, in a taxi. Oh, so you came by a taxi. All right. Now that doesn't mean the taxi is for you. A taxi was a medium through which you came here. Is that not so? So the ministration of condemnation, which is the law, came in glory. It was ushered in glory. Praise God. The law condemns the best of men. Grace justifies the worst of men. Hallelujah. The law is called condemnation. Much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. Exceed in glory. The ministration of righteousness has to do with what Jesus did on the cross. Now we are called to preach Christ and his work. The reason for the cross, he has made him to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Praise God. That's what it's called. Matuleta calls this the glorious exchange. Jesus took my place and I took his place. John Calvin calls it the duplex imputation. All my sins were imputed to Christ. All of his righteousness came on me. Praise the Lord. When he took my place, he received all I deserved. Now that I've taken his place, I receive all he deserves. Righteousness means I'm in the son's place because he took my son's place. Now I'm in the son's place. Praise God. Now, he didn't take my place. He didn't take my place. He didn't become sin by sinning. He became sin by receiving my sin. I don't become righteous by the act of it. I become righteous by receiving his gift. Praise God. And this is the cardinal truth of the New Testament. Because the Bible says that the administration of righteousness abounds in glory. You see, what is glory? You know what glory is? If I have a bucket of water here and the water is heavy, the water is heavy. Glory means weight. Something that is heavy. Glory is the presence of God that is heavy with all of God's blessing. When the presence of God is weighty and heavy with healing, with wisdom, with joy, with peace, with health, with prosperity, with holiness, with everything good thing is within. It is called glory. So it's the presence of God that is weighty and heavy with every good thing, with revelation, with everything. That's glory. Praise God. Now the opposite of glory is called curse. Where there is no glory, there is curse. So glory means weight to make heavy. But curse means to make light in the Hebrew. Light. So the Bible says that if the administration of condemnation came in glory, much more the administration of righteousness exceed in glory. So the Lord came in glory, but righteousness abounds in glory. You know, what it means? It's exceeding glory. That means that if we are conscious of what Jesus did for you on the cross, by taking a place of righteousness, your glory increases. Your marriage gets blessed. Your finances get blessed. Your health goes well. Your walk with God becomes better. All this is called glory. Hallelujah. Because you are taking hold of what Jesus did in his finished work. What we preach is Christ and him crucified. Praise God. The next verse. For even that which was made glorious hath no glory in this respect by reason of the glory that excelleth. Do you want the glory of God to excel in your life? There is an excelling glory. The glory that excelleth. The Greek is where we get the word hyperbole. The glory is just becoming increasingly greater, greater, greater, greater. If you receive what Jesus did and have faith for his finished work, the glory will increase. I am telling you, we are supposed to live a life of peace, a life of joy, a life of harmony, health, prosperity, fellowship with God. Praise the Lord. Jesus did all of these things for us. Your life must go on well and well and well and well. You have to usher others to the glory of God. Enjoying Jesus and all his beauty and his wonders and his marvel. But it comes by the consciousness of what Jesus has done. Hallelujah. Are you here with me? By reason of the glory that excelleth. Anytime you read the King James and you see the word, the suffix E-T-H, look at the word, excelleth. Anytime you see E-T-H, it is the present continuous tense. That means a continuous and a repeated action. That means with righteousness, the glory of God is always continuing, repeating and magnifying in your life. It becomes greater and greater and greater and greater and greater. So now we see, there's a, can you go to verse 9? There's a, if the ministration of condemnation be glory. Our ministration, our ministry is not to condemn anyone. Anytime you condemn people, you are under the Old Testament. Yeah, we are to correct with the word, not condemn. There's not therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. We don't condemn. The ministration of condemnation is the law. Under the law, we come under condemnation. The word condemnation is catachrisis. Catachrisis. Now, cata means something coming down to dominate your life. And crisis is where we get the word crisis. That means under the law, your life is dominated by crisis. From crisis to crisis. But that's not our portion. Christ has already redeemed us from the curse of the law. We are not under curse. We are in his glory. And join the goodness of God. And the mercies of God. Fellowship with God. Fellowship with God. Abundance of joy and peace. And health. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So, alright. So, these two verses, the Bible speaks of the glory of condemnation and the glory of what? Righteousness. Now, let's go back to verse 18. Verse 18. Look at how it concludes. But we all, with an open face, beholding us in a glass, the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory. Glory to glory. We are changed. As we behold Jesus, we become like him. We are changed from glory to glory. Now, you have to interpret glory to glory in context. We are changed from the glory of condemnation, which is the law, to the glory of righteousness, which is grace. Because that's the context. He's contrasting two kinds of glory. One is the fading glory. The other one is an ever-increasing glory. Under the law, our glory constantly fades. But in the new covenant, our glory is ever-increasing. So, as we behold Jesus, his love, who he is, what he's done for us, we are changed from glory to the glory of his righteousness. The next verse. Therefore, you see, therefore, seeing we have this ministry. Can you see the ministry we have? Seeing. Do you see it? Our ministry is the ministry of the Spirit. Our ministry is the ministry of righteousness. That is what Jesus has done. Righteousness is the summary of what Jesus has done on the cross in his finished work. We are supposed to preach Jesus and his loveliness, Jesus and his beauty. We are supposed to preach Jesus and what he did for us. That is the crust of the new covenant. Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, having received mercy, of course, all of us here have received mercy. Remember that in chapter 3 verse 6, it says that we are not sufficient in ourselves. We are not competent in ourselves to think anything as of ourselves. So don't think you are here as a minister because you are worthy. Don't think you are here as a minister because you are qualified. Don't think you are here as a minister because you are ready. We are not worthy. We are not ready. We are not qualified. He didn't call us because we are qualified. He qualified the called. Praise God. He qualified us by his grace. That's the mercy we have received. We have received mercy. The Bible says we faint not. Having received mercy, we faint not. Say we faint not. Now, the word faint is a very essential word. It has three meanings in the Greek, in the ancient Greek. I'll just touch on it before I say that. Because I don't want you to faint in ministry. We faint not. The word is ekakio. In the ancient Greek, it has three meanings. Number one, the first meaning of the word faint, some versions actually say we don't lose heart. Now, the first meaning in the Greek actually means. A faint-hearted coward who is so timid to speak out what he has been told to say. It has to do with what we say, what we preach. A faint-hearted coward who cannot preach boldly what he has been committed to preach. Praise God. So, it tells us what we are supposed to preach. Hallelujah. It was not easy for Apostle Paul to preach in his time. Why? Because at that time, the Bible says, Jesus has died and he was bold to say that the law was abolished. That's strong. We don't see it now, but it was not a joke for Apostle Paul to say that the law has been abolished. What do you mean the law has been abolished? It wasn't a joke. It was bold for Apostle Paul to preach righteousness by faith. That there is a new kind of righteousness. The one by the law has been abolished. It's obsolete. There's a new one which came by Jesus Christ. It wasn't a joke. He was bold. And that's the word we faint not. We are not cowards. It's the word for cowards. A faint-hearted coward who cannot preach the cross. Who cannot preach Christ. Who cannot preach that Christ has forgiven our sins. Hallelujah. When Jesus died, our sins were forgiven. You know how much we are forgiven? Our sins were not forgiven only in the past. Our sins have been forgiven past, present, and future. Our sins are not forgiven only in the aorist tense, which is the past. Our sins are forgiven in a perfect tense. That's what Jesus did. Once and for all, past, present, and future, he dealt with our sins. And we have been justified. Apostle Paul was bold. You must be bold to speak Jesus and to speak what he has done. To preach righteousness, to preach grace, to preach his love, to preach his loveliness, to preach him. We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus, the Lord. Hallelujah. Apostle Paul could say, "Even if we, or an angel, come to preach to you another gospel, an angel from heaven," he says, "let him be accursed." Not an angel from hell. If an angel comes from heaven to preach another thing, he says, "let him be accursed." The gospel is sure. The gospel is true. It's the gospel of peace. It's the gospel of grace. Hallelujah. So, the first meaning of the word faint. It has to do with not being a coward. We have to preach. It wasn't a joke for Paul. That is why even Peter, the apostle, was eating with the Gentiles, but when the Jews came, he had to go and hide and stand at the corner, as though he had nothing to do with them. And even Barnabas was affected, and Paul had to preach to Peter and rebuke him. When Paul says that, "I, through the Lord, am dead to the Lord, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ. I live." He was preaching to Peter. "Yet not I, but Christ liveth in me, and the life I now live in the flesh. I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God. For if righteousness come by the law, Christ is dead in vain." Apostle Paul was preaching to Peter. Peter didn't grasp the revelation as early as Paul. So Paul was granted that privilege. So Peter was hiding letter by letter until he got the full grasp of the revelation. Hallelujah. So we have to be bold. Be bold to preach the gospel. He says, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. It is the power of God unto salvation for everyone that believeth. To the Jew first, then to the Gentile. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith." Praise God. Now the second definition of the word faint, we faint not. The second meaning is the word living, having a bad conduct. Having an evil character, evil character or bad conduct. Now he's saying that they are all in the word faint. Now that we have received this ministry, we watch our conduct. We don't live badly or we don't live, we don't live wickedly. That is why in the next verse, look at what it says. He's explaining in the next verse, we have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty. Now that you are in ministry from today, you have to renounce the hidden things of dishonesty. You know what it means. Literally the word dishonesty means shame. We have renounced the hidden things of shame. What does it mean? The hidden things of shame. Now this is what it means. Doing something undercover, which is very bad. At the same time having the fear of entering into shame when you are exposed. Nothing you are doing, but you know that if people find out, you are going to enter into big shame. Apostle Paul says that as far as the ministry is concerned, there is nothing we are hiding. We have renounced every hidden thing of shame. It's not like we are preaching and we are doing something in secret. You understand? For fear that when we are exposed, we are going to enter into big shame. So if you have something in your cobwebs, go home and clean it. If I don't go home, this service, just clean it up. Yeah, the hidden policies that we have renounced it. We have forsaken it. Otherwise it will put the gospel into disrepute. What are the hidden things of shame? Maybe you are here, but you have been ordained, but you are going home and when you go home, you go and enjoy pornography and you make sure all your windows are closed so that in case one of your cell members is passing, he doesn't see you. Yeah. Maybe you have been ordained, but you know that this masturbation is constant. So you are afraid you will be caught. So you do it in secret. Maybe you only give half of your tithe to Jesus. And you've not only robbed God in his tithe, but also in the offering. So you save something. You divide your offering. And you go to see a joint or kill a joint. So there are, that thing should be hidden. That's what Paul is saying, he says, listen, we have renounced it. There's nothing we are hiding. Not that we have a secret side check somewhere, you know, apart from our wives and we use those side checks to entertain ourselves. No, he says we have renounced everything. Praise God. Now see after me, we have renounced the hidden things of shame. Then he says not working in craftiness. Craftiness? Doing the ministry for money. People we call ministerial thieves or gospel charlatans or gospel politicians that do it. I mean, preaching for self-glory or for gain. We don't do that. We don't preach for self gain. You don't preach because you want to make money. We preach for Jesus and for his glory. That's why we preach. I remembered this morning, I remembered something that happened more than 10 years ago. I visited a brother and when I visited a brother, there was this prophet with a brother. I had never met him before. So as we're sitting at the hall, this prophet had a call. He had never met me before. So when he had a call, he just tagged me and said, see, see, see how I will do. See how I will take money from the one who is calling me. Just watch my style. I'm going to take heavy money from him. Just watch me. Now, you've never met me anywhere. He had written some books and he introduced the books to me that these are the books I've written. And he had a call. He says, just watch me. I'm going to take millions from this person. And the call came and apparently this man had his daughter or his son near to death. A kind of serious sickness of death. That's what he said. That's what he said. Something like that. The child was so sick and it's like the doctors had even given up on the child. And he wanted to see the prophet for the prophet to pray for the child. And the prophet took the phone and said, you need to sacrifice. And this sickness will go by heavy sacrifice. I'm talking about money. And you have to give in twelves. Now he told me the amount he was going to take from the man. You have to give in twelves because twelves is symbolic in the Bible. So he gave all the symbolic meaning of twelves. he took that huge sums of money. The man agreed, the man's son was dying he tapped me and said i told you i told you then he left now i couldn't recover for days because the guy outwardly looked so polished and so nice that if you are not in the ministry when you see his tie you would love to be in ministry but he was doing the ministry in craftiness that is faithlessness if you do the ministry well god is going to reward you well hallelujah so he says we are not working in craftiness no handling the word of god deceitfully the word deceitful means we are not adulterating the word it's like a peddler who sells wine but mixes water with a wine to sell it cheaply we don't do that we preach the gospel as it is and we live as we are supposed to live hallelujah then he says but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of god now that's what we have to do you have to commend yourself to every man's conscience what does it mean to commend yourself to every man's conscience it means that everyone seen looking at everyone seeing you must everyone's conscience must approve of your action now there's a difference between intention and action for instance you were a minister of the gospel you were a married man and you have this church member who is in trouble a very nice lady and you the pastor you the reverend minister you take this lady to a restaurant just the two of you 18 having a good time and after that you hold hands and you you walk out of the restaurant because you have a good intention to help her because she's in crisis that's not proper your intention is right but your action is wrong you know why paul says we commend ourselves to every man's conscience not not every conscience will approve of your action some people will see you from the restaurant and they'll go like look at reverend look at this lady what are they doing meanwhile your intentions are correct but their conscience may not approve why do you go alone why don't you take other pastors or other female pastors to go together it's not wisdom so to do that with right intention is wrong you need the right action because everyone who's seen you everyone's conscience must approve of your action do you understand everyone's conscience must approve of your action yeah okay the lady must go home so you church closed late so you walk alone with a lady you are a married man just the two of you straight to the lady's house i mean you're a good pastor you're a good shepherd that's why i don't you don't want to you don't want her to go alone because i mean you want to protect her you are a protector you are a defender but it's not it's a good intention but the action is wrong someone will see you alone the person may be passing say hey look at the time look at the reverend you alone with that lady hey these ministers what are they doing so you see not every conscience will approve of that action apostle paul said in this ministry we commend ourselves to every man's conscience good intentions are not enough good intentions are not enough you know billy graham he had a policy whenever he was driving no lady sat at his front seat except you were his wife is that wrong it's not wrong but billy graham someone can just even take a picture and go like oh we saw the billy graham um having a side check somewhere and this is the proof of it hallelujah so our actions must be right say my action must be right as a minister of the gospel yeah don't be in a small corner somewhere in a small office you alone that door is locked and you are counseling the lady you are doing well but you are not being wise it's not a wisdom not just from above and you are not living under grace you know why because you are trusting your flesh that you can withstand the beauty of the lady you are not living under grace you are not living under grace you are saying you are dead no the fact that you can be in a small place with a lady alone means you are trusting your self-effort and you are trusting the flesh that's the law that's not grace because you are trusting yourself praise god hallelujah say my action will be right as a minister of the gospel yeah must be right and finally the word faint the final definition the word faint means to be discouraged to grow weary wanting to quit or to stop the word faint you are so discouraged because you are not seeing fruit so if you are a pastor and you're not seeing fruit in the ministry qualitatively quantitatively don't lose heart i mean this word is the same word we find in galatians 6 verse 9 be not weary in well-doing for in due season we shall reap if we faint not it's the same greek word we shall reap if we don't lose heart so don't worry if the church is not growing like the way you expected it to grow you are laboring more but it looks like other pastors are having more fruits more than you are doing you are doing much more but it's like you're not seeing the fruit whether marital fruits financial fruit fruit in every aspect you are not seeing these things happen don't lose heart don't be discouraged praise god he says in due season you shall reap if you faint not faint not there was a sunday school teacher many many years ago this sunday school teacher will go looking for um kids in the area to church and they found some kids but there was one kid who was very stubborn by name bob and they will give new clothes new clothes to this kid the kid came two or three times and never came again this sunday school teacher went to pursue bob and brought bob bob new clothes bob still went back bob was so stubborn that uh this teacher kept going back looking for for him and after a while she got discouraged and told the superintendent of the sunday school that i'm discouraged i don't think i should go and look for bob again because bob is stubborn he comes and he cannot stay the superintendent told the lady go for the last time go and look for bob so she went to look for bob this time around bob came bob received new clothes and uh after a while bob gave his life to jesus christ later on bob became the superintendent of the sunday school and bob this is the well-known robert morrison who was a missionary to china and he was the first protestant missionary to china and he is the one who translated the bible from english to the chinese language so if we're sunday school teacher don't give up if i'm not seeing fruit don't lose heart praise god there was this pastor who wanted to quit his ministry many years ago in scotland so the elders of the church came together and they agreed that they should take off the pastor because they were not seeing fruit so the pastor was discouraged one day he was they sent out offering bowls to take offerings nobody was giving there was a small boy in the congregation he didn't have money he put the offering bowl on the ground and stepped in it so they were not seeing fruit so they were not seeing fruit so they asked him what are you doing he says i give my life as an offering i've watched the minister's life and his life is so inspiring i want to be like him so i just give myself as an offering to jesus and this is the well-known robert moffat who became the pioneer missionary to south africa to send the gospel to south africa robert moffat went to south africa he did tremendous impact touched the whole nation one day he came back to scotland to look for missionaries who give their lives to come back to africa to preach so when he went to scotland the theme of his conference was unto you oh men i call proverbs 8 verse 4 actually he was looking for young men who give their lives as missionaries so unto you oh men he wasn't looking for women unto you oh men i called but at the conference no man no no no boy or no young man no man showed up the conference was filled filled with only robert moffat was so discouraged he couldn't preach well he felt like he was disappointed he felt like women couldn't bear the burden of the ministry the burdens and the libess of a missionary so he gave up not knowing that there was an assistant pianist a small boy who was so inspired by his message and on that day on that day he promised that he was going to be a missionary and send the gospel to africa that small boy is david levinstein and he filled africa with the gospel you know when he died
