The episode reflects on the 2024 midterm elections as a pivotal moment in American politics, directly linking the Democratic gain in Congress to Donald Trump’s Iran war policy. Despite years of warnings, the war was initially defended by Trump loyalists and conservative media figures, but public sentiment shifted dramatically as the consequences—economic strain, loss of trust, and political backlash—became undeniable. The episode highlights a cultural reckoning, where figures like Stephen Crowder, Ben Ferguson, and the Turning Point USA crew openly admitted their errors, breaking the long-standing denial of the war’s impact. This shift is seen as a validation of earlier critiques and a collapse in the credibility of those who supported the war. Texas’s unexpected Democratic representation signals a broader political realignment, with voters rejecting Trump’s foreign policy. The hosts argue this moment is not just political but moral, demanding accountability and a new direction for the Republican Party. They propose that the party’s survival hinges on a non-interventionist, anti-war candidate—such as Thomas Massey, Joe Kent, or Tucker Carlson—rather than continuing to support Trump. The episode concludes that the war has created a clear referendum on national policy, and that the Republican Party now faces a critical choice: to adapt to public sentiment or risk deepening democratic dominance. This shift marks a turning point in political discourse, where transparency and policy integrity are no longer optional.
this is going to be the first episode rob i don't say anything no words
okay fine i'm gonna break that what what a night what a night man um welcome to a brand new episode

it's one of the one of the craziest shows i've ever done in my life it was excellent huge thank
you to pierce morgan for it rob i don't know if you could tell if you watched any of it
great show very interesting a lot a lot to talk about there the chairs it was a four-hour show
rob pierce morgan has put me on one of the biggest platforms in the world i've really
come to love the guy uh i really appreciate everything he's done for me there were no
backs to the chairs the chairs had like they were like those stools with just like a
little bit like that comes up like a bike seat dude my ass and and lower back area today are just
it's just on an amtrak home lucky for you you're flying to california got another six-hour flight
tomorrow yeah uh dude i oh yeah that's true i do have to fly out to california hey guys san diego
come see uh come see us tomorrow tomorrow friday and saturday we'll be out there uh
celebrating the new socialist uh society that we live in and then and i've got a guanga
california on sunday mandanville la on wednesday and then uh pub key in new york city the following
friday uh a porch store.com for all those dates got some great openers come hang out uh i watched
uh a little bit of the pierce thing and uh i'll tell you what i found most amusing was the thought
of you just sitting there and waiting every time he went off camera oh waiting what like in other
words that you were on the show and you just had to sit there while he was interviewing
people off camera i'm like oh no i was going to the bathroom and stuff i was going yeah yeah no i
was getting out of there and going and chilling and i said i came back a few times then i would
just interrupt you when i was there just jump in or whatever uh but but pierce doesn't care he said
at the beginning he was like oh oops sorry about that guys he said at the beginning he was like
yo whatever like it's it's pierce morgan uncensored man let's let's go for it you had a cool moment
with the charlie kirk people you had a good moment when you broke down how uh donald trump
fumbled his winning coalition he had some good moments in there
there were well it was quite a night i mean it's a weird it was a very strange position to be in um
they're they're i don't know i mean look let's let's kind of go
let's go broad strokes here do some analysis um and then we could we can get into the show
and kind of uh the state of things where because because i think the show was it
was interesting for that reason but broad analysis here gotta say man zoom out there's a big story
the big story
is essentially two like you know i guess it's one story but they're they're two inverse you know
inverses of each other but like rob it really is just so remarkable and i know we've been talking
about this right i mean this has been like i don't know how to describe this from our position
it's been like a year and a half of us being like guys we're headed toward this wood chipper we're
going right toward it and then everybody oh you're crazy you're delusional you don't see it's like
guys guys we're getting closer and closer you don't see it you don't say and then it's like
as you go into it you're like yep and now we're being chipped up that good job guys anyway it's
we are literally down to the last episode we were going like this is your closing pitch
this is your closing pitch and then you look at the democrats closing pitch and you go
really good actually really good what a shocker it was not just the blue wave that we've been
predicting it was worse you know um we anyway the big story here here are the two inverses right
two years ago donald trump wins the this historic election it's the greatest political
comeback story of all time nothing even close dude i mean the guy survives
he survives a special prosecutor two impeachments multiple uh um uh other charges uh felony
convictions uh uh uh uh felony convictions uh felony convictions uh felony convictions
the insurrection accusations all of this comes all the way back and becomes president
with his highest approval rating ever okay at the same time so that's the one story right there's
trump at the same time he leaves the democrats in the dust the democrats are more humiliated
and destroyed than any political party since the wigs this is not an exaggeration to say
their last president was weakened at bernie's and they pretended he wasn't senile the whole time
they had been running on turning your son into a girl
and opening the border it's like you cannot stress how humiliated they were as a part and
then in the fourth quarter they sub in this cackling the whole thing was just they're
sitting at like a 24 approval rating as a party while donald trump has has
accomplished the greatest political comeback in american history
two years later he's blown it and they've come back from the depths to control both chambers of
congress it is truly a fascinating story and i think that's what's so fascinating about this story
so fascinating little period in american history just saying that up front all right guys let's
take a moment and thank our sponsor for today's show which is the wellness company americans love
sushi over the last two decades raw fish consumption has exploded sushi bars are
everywhere millions of people now eat raw fish weekly but there is a hidden risk that
most people never think about and that's parasites this is why many physicians are
raising awareness about parasite exposure dr peter mccullough you may remember being heroic throughout
covid he recommends doing a parasite cleanse at least once a year as a preventative measure
so the wellness company offers a hard to access prescription parasite cleanse
it's usa compounded ivermectin and mabendazole ivermectin paralyzes the parasite's nervous system
while the mabendazole starves them each capsule contains 25 milligrams of ivermectin and 250
milligrams of mabendazole you can choose between a 90 or 45 capsule bottle giving you
either four or two 21 day parasite cleanse cycles so go check them out at twc.health problem and use
the promo code problem to save up to sixty dollars off plus you get free shipping that's twc.health
problem promo code problem for up to sixty dollars off plus free shipping all right let's get back
into the show yeah i i i uh i don't feel good about it and i'll tell you why i feel like uh
it is nice to see donald trump get slapped in the face right now uh it is a nice vindication after
that whole storyline of uh tucker doesn't matter you don't matter nobody actually is against this
war and all of the lies and not just lies but just pompousness of this administration
and trying to ram things down her throat turning its back on epstein
uh fumbling i mean trying to enact its uh terror policy and you know having that not work uh
absolutely just fumbling on deportations and then obviously iran war which was the biggest blunder
that we have been criticizing for 100 but you could also add in there a big fat zero on doge a
big fat zero on maha a big fat you know but yes obviously everything else you said is right um and
so i think much like i felt in the last election where i rooted for donald trump but did not vote
for him i felt like the democrats had to lose and i feel like we were in a similar situation here we
did the republicans to lose because we could not have an endorsement of this war and everything
that donald trump is doing um and we're almost in the the problem is i can't root for the democrats
and i can't be excited about the democrats coming in donald trump i could at least be excited for
there was enough meat on that bone that it might be good i know that the democrats will be bad it's
so interesting that we're in the exact inverse that the democrats in power now if they use this
authority to go after corruption in the donald trump administration to get us out of the iran war
you go okay we were better off and that was great but i know that there's democratic stupidity
coming my way and so it's just it's sad that we went with donald trump uh managed to unseat the
democrats from power and we've handed it back to them in victorious fashion with plenty of talking
points of hey we're better than trump which they're right about but it means we're gonna get a
lot of democratic stupidity yeah that's right and it's not well look you kind of however you feel it
obviously hindsight is 20 20 and obviously anyone who's arguing on the correct side of of
hindsight being 20 20 you know has a stronger argument with the most you know most people
understandably right um like if the car i don't know if the car ends up crashing the guy who said
the car was probably going to crash ends up being right now that isn't necessary that's actually not
logically necessarily true you know what i mean but but i mean it's logically true that the car
did crash but you could have been doing something that wasn't actually risky and someone was being
neurotic and warning that the car would crash but when it ends up happening that person looks
awfully good
um there's so right you just it's just kind of like a natural human tendency and
when donald trump okay when when donald trump comes in in 2024 and now obviously again like
i'm saying this didn't work out but you can't kind of compare it to today because donald trump
comes in he's taken the presidency he's promised no new wars he's put tulsi gabbard in the dni he's
put jd vance's vice president he's put like there's he has whitcoff they are trying to work
out a ceasefire in gaza before he's even sworn in in fact they did work out a ceasefire before
he was even sworn in if you remember rob it fell apart shortly after but the point is there was at
least reason to say when i said we got to keep all of the neocons out and donald trump jr quote
tweets me and says fuck yeah a hundred percent i'm on it now look
you
you could possibly obviously i said being 2020 didn't mean anything and did but there was at
least some reason there to think maybe hey even if it's real cautious optimism maybe something good
could come out of this this is a very different situation um and it's not so i agree with you
it's not this was last night was tragic to me in a way even though i'm sitting there in the
situation where obviously i don't know now i'm the guy who's been warning about the thing for a year
and a half and and it's come true and so i get to have that you know see i told you so but that's
not actually very satisfying for me because that's not really what any of this is about
and it's just i don't know it's just it's to me it's sad it's sad as i've been saying for the
last two years or at least the last year and a half it's just sad that this movement that was
against so many good things to be against ended up devolving into this um there's okay
i'm kind of sure because there's a lot of different things to say here but i i
well i guess it did seem look i guess we just talk about the the numbers a little bit we could
get into races maybe or anything that like was was particularly interesting i mean to me
the big story here if i um i i suppose i would say obviously
i mean texas has got to be the biggest right
there's the the fact that there's a democratic governor and a democratic senator from texas
is like it's not just that they lost the house and the senate they they may have just lost texas
i mean let me rephrase that they just lost texas they may have just lost texas you know like this
has been the thing by the way since the the big thing that the
right-wing immigration restrictionists and just right-wingers in general have been talking about
for 25 years right is that they would go california used to be a purple state you know people young
people may not know this but like richard nixon was a governor in california ronald reagan was
a governor in california arnold schwarzenegger was a governor in california can you even fathom
a republican governor in california today no it's just a deep blue state
they can literally i mean the the the the mayor could light the citizens on fire and still they
vote them democrat the next election and they go look that's how texas is going to end up going to
it's possible that this was the first crack in that rob but it's truly remarkable to me to say
right now we have a democratic governor and senator in texas pretty that's pretty nuts
yeah i guess that's hard to know uh or i've not dug into
whether or not that's because so many people have left california and ended up in these other states
um but i certainly even if that did take place it's because there's such a rebuke of donald trump
that in this election uh people that were at least you gotta at least be a swing voter if
you're moving to texas from california i can't think that you're just a absolute blue person at
that point and maybe i'm mistaken and i gotta dig into the numbers but i would think you're at least
a swing voter i wouldn't be surprised if a lot of those people who are in texas are going to be
swing voters so i'm going to dig into the numbers but i would think you're at least a swing voter
um and i'm sure we'll see some of these numbers but i think it's pretty clear as much as donald
trump is trying to claim hey i wasn't on the ballot this is very much a rebuke of donald trump
and it's because the uh republican party got stuck with him and has basically just absolutely
supported him except for thomas massey marjorie taylor green and the other uh people who are no
longer no longer in jobs and out of uh out of their positions because they went up against trump
yeah no that's that's exactly right exactly right and it's um you know it it really was
something to see again it's been i don't know there it's been a year and a half um i think i
was the first i i don't know whatever not that it matters but i think i was the first one of like
of the kind of people who supported donald trump with with a platform who was just screaming from
the top of my head and i was like oh my god i'm not going to be able to do this i'm going to be
like yo he's destroying his presidency in june of 2025 this was it he will not recover from this
man this is it you can't cover up the epstein files and launch a war that when everyone wanted
the opposite that your entire base wanted the opposite and it's amazing man just like the
amount of pushback you you that i got over that over this time and then to watch it all come down
where you know one of the things that was so remarkable rob about
the show that i was on last night on this pierce morgan show but right so it's this um
so we got there's the panel uh where i was on with with nancy mace um and with um with with
omar who was uh great and uh who's like a a lefty but a palestinian activist like me and him really
agree on on foreign policy and stuff and then of course nancy mace you know the thing is rob
she wasn't really much for me to argue with we argued a little bit but i think it was a
little bit there but then like first of all she voted for the war powers act she voted for the
epstein file really like she's really not one of the bad guys you know what i mean she's just kind
and then by the end of the show she i've like totally won her over and just it's right man
who is this guy so it was just like there wasn't really anything to argue with there but then
so we have this panel it's four hours long but then uh pierce also just has kind of like almost
like a who's who of kind of like right wing american
commentators there like you know a few of the guys that i argue with sometimes on on pierce morgan
ben ferguson comes out makes the most pathetic defense ever just can't even defend the war
he has stephen crowder on the show he has michael knolls on the show he has the turning point guys
on the show he's got all these guys like coming on the show and i gotta say rob it's just like
one after the other after the other after the other all acknowledges that the war just cost us
this election everyone acknowledged it
and this was a big thing rob i gotta say you know i've talked about this like dude me and you man
we've been tight friends and podcast partners for a long time now i've talked about this shit a lot
of times with you and it's like dude last night it was one of those nights man where a spell was
broken you just watched the spell get broken it's like joe biden's debate night all of a sudden
everyone's allowed to admit he's senile uh whatever the little thing is you know john
stewart makes the joke all of a sudden we're all allowed to admit that that covid was made in the
lab there's so many examples and like last night it's right as if the spell was broken
and you gotta sit there and and you gotta sit there while everyone else goes man we just can't
believe joe biden had a debate performance like that and you go yeah that sure came out of nowhere
and we're gonna pretend that i wasn't screaming at you six months ago about this very same argument
like all so as this is happening i gotta say man i mean let's like kind of i don't know how
how much to overstate this here donald trump himself admitted to the wall street journal
that the war was responsible and that he had a a quote in an interview where he like kind of
admitted the war was responsible jd vance according to the new york times is straight
up saying that the war uh is is what caused him the midterms i i believe trump's uh spin on it
is that the war was the right decision he stands by the decision americans will thank him down the
line but they weren't willing to pay
higher gas prices for it and so that we are not smart enough to see that what he did was actually
worthwhile for us yeah but just like okay so here's another example of of breaking the spell
this is one i've told you a million times before rob right like uh we need our own joe rogan it was
literally for years the fringe joe rogan and then it became we need our own joe rogan like right
after the 24th you know it's like this because my point here is that like even within that framework
the war is what gave the congress to the democrats well like um here let's on on that note of the
spell uh i mean donald trump's been pretending up until a week ago the polls are lying to you and
we're doing great i've even had uh republicans tell me you know that it's a fake cnn talking
points i'm running with that i think that the republicans are going to lose the midterms that's
not anything on air that's my own private relationships but i'm in touch with trump
supporters and they were still locked in of no uh
i'm in touch with trump supporters and they were still locked in of no i'm in touch with trump
supporters and they were still locked in of no i'm in touch with trump supporters and they were still
continual midterm so that instead of fake poll numbers we can get absolute like it's nice to
actually come to a conclusion and force all these people to go yes we were painting you a picture of
reality that wasn't true we were doing our best to try and sell you this other version of reality
and obviously we just got spanked and you called us on it nobody believes this to be true and it's
nice that we it's not it's sad that it took us two full years to get here and that there's been
so much trump lies and chaos to contend with but they absolutely just got spanked and there's no
other way to there's no other way to put it and they got to contend with the fact that they've
been trying to sell you something and it's not true all right guys let's take a moment and thank
our sponsor for today's show which is an amazing company i'm thrilled to have on board as a sponsor
and i'm talking of course about my patriot supply they are the company that i rely on when it comes
to preparedness for my family the pentagon is now planning for every major military base in america
to be able to run on its own for near-term care and to be able to run on its own for near-term care
its own power its own water its own fuel completely cut off from the grid a lot of people
are wondering why now why all of a sudden what are they preparing for and this is making a lot
of people question uh their own uh preparedness what's your 90-day plan if you had to go completely
off the grid well here's what i love about my patriot supplies three-month emergency food kit
a lot of companies pump up their quote servings numbers this kit is built on a real 2000 calories
a day so three months of emergency food kit is a lot of companies pump up their quote servings
number three months means three months and it lasts up to 25 years in storage you buy it once
you put it away and you know your family's taken care of the pentagon makes its plans make sure you
make your own as well go to preparelikedave.com that's preparelikedave.com to get your 90-day plan
in action once again the site is preparelikedave.com all right let's get back into the show well look
dude i mean and i'm i'm gonna try to go through the list here man and i'm i'm sure i will i will
leave some people off i'm gonna try to go through the list here man and i'm i'm sure i will i will leave some people off
of this but i just to to be clear that like you just said like donald trump i'll even i'll put you
down as a half for donald trump but he basically acknowledged in the what you're talking about he
basically acknowledged that like look it was the right thing to do and it caused temporary higher
gas prices but americans didn't want to pay those temporary area in other words he is acknowledging
that it was the war that handed the country back over to the woke democrats but saying the war was
worth it but okay jd vance acknowledges that it was the war that lost him the midterms stephen
shawn hannity acknowledged it ben shapiro and the entire uh um daily wire uh boys acknowledged it
um the entire turning point usa crew acknowledged it like who am i missing i'm like when i tell you
i haven't seen mark levin yet i've seen it is it is gone from like it is just unanimous and the
reason it's unanimous rob is just because this one can't even be denied dude the democrats have a
healthy majority in the
senate and house and when you really get into some of the margins dude where they just like
dude they weren't winning these races by like three points four points there's you can go start
looking through them robert there's all types of races where like the margins were 15 points 18
points democrats are blowing republicans out and it's all over the war issue man it's like and
nobody's denying it and so now but will chamberlain you know the guy who you know from me debating and
going on pierce morgan's show today the war the war is obviously intolerably unpopular and has to
be ended immediately oh okay well that's good that you realize that after it doesn't matter
politically to realize that anymore by the way not to say it doesn't matter you know it doesn't
matter politically but it is like a thing you know i even and this is kind of part of why i got into
it with the the turning point guys the other day and made them all look like idiots while they all
started squawking over each other because none of them had an answer for what i had to say but
it's like an answer and it's that that they have no backbone and they work for the donald trump
administration and so while privately they would try and advocate for something if the talking
points they got from trump or otherwise they were going to remain in line with donald trump's agenda
and talking points really also really came back at you to display their credibility what is it i
want to say it was in the atlantic but i could be wrong about that but you remember when there
was that piece rob by the liberal woman who was pro lockdown and pro vaccine mandate and as for him
we need we need a coat we need covid amnesty and it's like well yeah of course you ask for covid
amnesty now but like it is such a crazy thing to go dude you didn't want amnesty when you were
advocating i get locked in my house but now i have to give you amnesty i'm not even advocating you
get locked in your house i'm just advocating that like no we don't drop it and we go you know but
it is kind of almost like this expectation and and then of course rob what they do and this is
really what sets me off is that they're not going to let you go and they're not going to let you
is like like they have an attitude about it like they're almost kind of like oh really dave are we
gonna are we gonna go over this again okay we're gonna um yes yes that's exactly what we're gonna
do you know i said to him at one point they go um because you know i made the point about and people
were giving omar a hard time but like dude it is a little bit tough man you got it's it's tough when
you have there's four people on this side of the camera we're looking at a little screen dude
there's like a monitor like the size of a laptop like over there that we're looking at and there's
four people there and four people here and we're trying but i asked him a direct question then he
asked a question afterward and they kind of hit but you know i asked about thomas massey they
start getting into how like well no like privately cliff was really lobbying for thomas massey and
like privately we were against the iran war and then they start going um they start going no dave
we all supported the peace deal and i go oh you're talking about the memorandum of understanding so
after supporting the war and running cover for the president once you had lost the war you
supported the surrender and didn't support the continuation of the war that's not good enough
dude by the way does anyone here think he hadn't already lost the midterms by the memorandum of
understanding do you think that could have saved this from going on so obviously it's like no you
guys are sitting here going now you just want to waddle back just like the people going
yeah i guess we did close schools too long oh you ruined children's lives
in other words by the way one-to-one comparison in this you actual children got murdered oh you
ruined children but now you can come back and just say like no i don't think that's how it's
it's gonna go and then you know one of them and this is what really pissed me off is that one of
them goes he goes dave we did express this stuff behind closed doors and by the way i'm sorry for
referring to them as one of them but that's it's the charlie kirk show and charlie kirk's not there
one of them one of the people who sits around this man's legacy and still just nakedly tries to
borrow his credibility to do their podcast very weird move if you ask me um one of them goes oh
i'm sorry we didn't freak out like you dave or something like that and you're like how are you
gonna say that to me tonight man how are you gonna say these mother frauds at turning point usa
who have sat there for a it by the way rob you think those guys make decent money at turning
point usa yeah they do and what have they been making that money off fear-mongering about the
communist woke democrats taking power please play me a montage of what they've said is gonna happen
if the left takes over for the last 10 years okay oh but i'm wrong for making too big a deal about
the thing that was going to hand them power and now when it does you have the nerve to come back
and say like iwa yes i mean i said it to pierce there i go i'm sorry if i'm too bad pierce but
i literally screamed in all of their face in august of last year at the big turning point event
i was the one sitting there screaming at them yes freaking out that you're going to ruin this whole
thing
and you sat there and went down that path anyway how are how am i not
to be angry about this rob you know what i'd be like i don't know
well none of these people have any credibility they know what they were trying to sell they were
trying to convince everybody to to get on board stay with the team that this didn't matter they
tried slanting it in every different way and uh the numbers are in they were wrong and so now they
gotta do some revisionist history as to uh why they took the approach that they did and uh it's
not too dissimilar from kovid of all the people that pushed that and then still needed to or the
people who pushed russia collusion uh now it happens to be that those were more lefty figures
but you know they still had to return to their jobs and pretend that they were worth listening to
and uh the conservatives that have been locked in supporting donald trump for the last two years and
still trying to sell us on that you need to continue to support him uh i think they i well
donald trump is doomed and i think the ones that uh took that line for the last two years are gonna
have a hard time uh you know staying credible i agree and i like i said man like no covet amnesty
no around war amnesty man there should be none of that like
any of them we could have won we could have got this right and everyone likes winners and if we
did win and if it didn't win a different way then everyone would still be on board and it'd
be great yeah but that's not what happened yeah no you lost and i'm i'm sorry but like this was again
it's also not like i i don't even i you know i it's not like i'm i don't feel like any particular
sense of like pride even in us getting this one right you know what i mean like oh we got this right
right. This was the easiest thing in the world to see. You know, it was so obvious, like, like,
I mean, right. You just can't say it enough. It's so obvious that the no new wars, we got to focus
on bringing your prices guy down. Couldn't just go looking for new war after new war, war after
new war until he found a disastrous one that raised your prices and then turn around to you
and say, I don't really care if your prices are up. Like it was so obvious to say that that was
going to be kryptonite, that the drain, the swamp guy couldn't bury the Epstein files and pretend
that that was a scam that they couldn't spit in the face of this coalition this whole time.
And so like, now that it's now that our point has been proven, like much kind of, you know,
and I'll tell you, this does happen to some degree. There was a real cultural kind of
response like this during COVID. It's like, now that our point's been proven, respectfully,
I'm going to.
To say that those of us who saw this obvious train, train wreck coming are going to tell you
what we should do now, you know, like then, and for all of you guys who made excuses for this over
the, you know, over the last year and a half, you can kind of sit back and listen. That seems to me
to be reasonable. Now I'm not saying that they'll actually sit back and listen, but what happens is
less and less people do want to hear what they have to say. And it is, it is really dude. It's
not something I'm going to take the time to do. I'm going to take the time to do it. I'm going to
take the time and effort to do, but I really do think somebody out there should, um, because this
is important to people's credibility. And especially when you're trying, when so many
people are trying to figure out the truth, and then so many people are doing what we do, where
they get in front of microphones and cameras and start saying like, Hey, I'm going to tell you
the truth. You got to kind of hold people accountable to this. And it is, it is just
amazing, man. How many people who were supporting Trump during the 12 day war and during this war
in Iran, just mocked the idea that this was going to be a problem.
This was going to be a prolonged conflict that would cost them anything. Just absolutely mocked
the idea of that. They labeled us panikins, Rob. That's what they called us. Panikin.
You're a panikin. They called us that over a war.
When we were raising alarm bells that the president launched in the legal war, they said,
Ooh, you're pussy. That was their response. Ooh, you panic. And by the way, you're pussy, you're,
you're pussy. Cause you don't blindly trust another man. You don't blindly put all your
faith in another man who doesn't know what the fuck he's doing. And so like all you guys who
said all these bold predictions about how it wasn't going to turn into this obvious thing,
which it ended up turning into. Okay. Now shut the fuck up. Okay. Here's the new thing. Sorry.
You also, I just want to point out in, uh, Trump year one, I found to be a tough year of podcasting.
Uh, and basically up until the Epstein files, because when Trump first got in and there was
a lot of enthusiasm for you when, uh, I was criticizing tariffs and other mistakes I saw
him doing. He had a lot of people, Hey, we gotta be on this team. We need to have this hope,
whatever their, whatever their thing was, there was just so much anger over criticizing Trump.
And I remember just pointing out, no, the only way you're going to see the representation you
want is if you criticize, if they're doing things you don't want.
And my job here is not to lie. And so that doesn't, that, that, that doesn't make sense
for me to pretend like things are better than they are not to criticize. And, uh, I remember
that just being kind of like a rough year. Cause I couldn't believe, uh, friends and allies who I
wanted to, like, I don't care if I annoy the Democrats, but you're trying to get along with
the Republicans. And that was kind of a upsetting year. And then he fumbled on the Epstein files.
And then we got into the Iran war. And then slowly over the last six months, you've seen
basically the winning coalition just fall apart. But.
All these people who right off the bat, it was just 4d chess. Trump's a genius. Don't worry,
trust the plan. Like this guy knows what he's doing. He's going to be the biggest winner we've
ever had. This is going to be the greatest presidents we've ever had. And the amount
of conversations I had to have with people about that. And you're just in your back of your head,
like, dude, this is another COVID just with, uh, the people that were on my side just three months
ago. And so, uh, it is interesting. It was horrible, dude. It was, it was, dude, it was nuts
for me. I mean, I remember the one particularly, and I really do like her a lot. So I'm not like
trying to like say anything negative about her, but it's, uh, Jillian Michaels, who, you know,
we became friends during like the COVID stuff. And then it was like when the Iran stuff started or,
or maybe it was like Israel stuff. I can't remember where she was starting to say, she's like,
doesn't Israel have a right to defend itself or something? And I'm like, yo, you're like,
you're giving me follow the science right now. Do you not realize that? Do you not realize that
you're just regurgitating the same thing back? It's the same thing, man.
The same evil system, a big, just sub out the pharma lobby for the Israel lobby. You know what
I mean? It's like the same corrupt game, the same people involved even like literally the exact same
people. Um, and it just doesn't, I don't know. It was, it was a weird thing to watch, but I will
say, look, man, it's like this. Now we gotta go. I'm not trying to sit here and like, you know,
do a whole, I told you so forever in a way I'm kind of relieved to just like move on, like move.
Okay. This is the end. That was a, uh, uh,
chapter, the end of a chapter last night, you know, that now we're in a new chapter and there's
several defining characteristics about this new chapter that I think are worth mentioning.
But the first thing to mention is that like, look, this is not what we wanted.
Like, as you said earlier, it's impossible to like, be really happy about a day like today,
because as you know, Rob, like the, look, the fact is, you know, the, the dumb people, I guess
now I, I, they've been completely discredited, but like you said, this'll be their last gasp.
It was Tucker's fault. Now it was to whoever's it was my fault. As if, as if look, Joe Rogan, even,
okay. Jumping on the, the Tucker, like this, he's huge and can really move the needle. Tucker is a
needle mover. You know, I don't know exactly what I can do, but the odds that like the,
the idea that like I'm responsible for this type of blowout in a midterm, it's like,
believe me, if I could move the needle that much, we'd live under a much different government.
Than we live under today. So I'm not responsible for like super majorities of Congress going to
the Democrats or, or big majorities, uh, uh, going to Democrats. Obviously this was happening either
way. And so what, no, the point is it's not good that the Democrats just took Congress and Rob and
make no mistake about this. We can not allow a Democrat to win the presidency in 2,028.
I just absolutely can't. All right. That is a real threat. That's on the table.
Right now, because that is the, uh, that is what the odds are will happen as of right now,
you know, in 2006, it was the first midterm after it was really clear that the war in Iraq was a
disaster and George W. Bush got destroyed. And this is when Nancy Pelosi became the speaker of
the house and it destroyed the Republicans for a decade. This has the potential to be that,
and you could see it already, right? Like if, if JD Vance is the next guy or Marco Rubio's the next
guy, you go, oh yeah, this is destroyed.
Democratic rule for a decade. So that's where we are now. And obviously it's not because of people
like us. If you had listened to us, we wouldn't be here. Now we listen to people like Ben Shapiro
and Mark Levin. So we are here, but now, okay. So we're in this dynamic now where the real threat
is Democrats having the full government. Again, if you can believe we're back to that point, Rob,
but we're also now with we're living in a moment now where
the big difference about the state of the war in Iran, Rob, is that now everyone knows it gave
the Democrats, uh, Congress and put us in this situation. In other words, Donald Trump's stock
is lower than ever. And I really gotta say, I think it's just going down. It, it seems almost
impossible to fathom how he gets a big win over the next couple of years or anything, even remotely
like it, the whole democratic agenda is to deny him a big win. They'll let him do his foreign policy.
What big win is he pulling off there? All he can do is search for a big win abroad, which is a great
recipe. All right, guys, let's take a moment and thank our sponsor for today's show, which is
Trollco. Trollco was built by two guys from the oil patch who were sick of clothing companies,
pretending blue collar workers don't exist. While most brands chase trends and influencers,
Trollco was made for the people who work with their hands, solve real problems,

clean money mindset, show up, work hard, provide for your family and earn everything you've got.
Trollco makes tough, comfortable hoodies, teas, hats, and real workwear that actually holds up.

All right, let's get back into the show. So essentially, and I said this on The Pierce
Morgan Show the other night, at this point, and hear me out here, guys, this is going to be a
bitter pill for you guys to swallow, the Steven Crowders and Jack Posabiaks of the world. But hey,
remember, in the summer, you're going to be in the summer. You're going to be in the summer. You're
going to be in the summer of 2025, when I was completely right about everything and
you were completely wrong about everything. Okay, now that you've given the country,
After, after, it is an interesting thing.
You know, Crowder said the other day, something along the lines, I think I sent you the clip
where he's like, you know, I, you know, I was supporting, okay.
I supported Ted Cruz in the primary in 2016, but then I supported Donald Trump and I supported
him in 2020 and I supported him in 2024.
And then he would go with these newcomers who just supported him in 2024, like Joe Rogan
or whatever.
And it's like, yeah, dude, but here's the thing.
You didn't support him in 2016.
He ended up, he lost the popular vote in 2016.
He lost the popular vote and the election in 2020, but he won when he had that coalition
and he won the popular vote when he had that coalition.
It was with the no new wars coalition that you could have won this thing and kept this
thing.
And obviously that's the thing that lost it.
So I'm telling you right now, telling you, and this is so fucking obvious, Rob, the big
danger now is presidency.
President AOC or president Gavin Newsom in, in 2028, the Republicans have to win in 28.
And the only way they can is to run an anti-war candidate, your only choice.
This is the binary for all of these non-Israel lobby Trump supporters, Stephen Crowder and
Will Chamberlain and all of them.
Much less.
I know this is a really bitter pill to swallow.
I know it was a bitter pill to swallow a year and a half ago when I told you Trump had destroyed
his presidency.
But now that obviously I'm right, swallow this one, you'll be better off.
It's time to repudiate Donald Trump period.
You should think of him like George W.
Bush.
You should speak of him the way Donald Trump spoke of George W.
Bush, because that's the only chance to win in 2028.
Donald Trump.
Just looked the American people in the eye at the beginning of the night yesterday, the
Trump surrogates were saying he's been rallying more than ever and telling people vote like
I'm on the ballot.
And guess what, Rob?
They did.
They voted like Donald Trump was on the ballot.
That's what we think of Donald Trump.
If people are so delusional, they think Donald Trump's on the ballot.
Donald Trump.
Look at his approval rating, Rob.
People hate him.
This is a result about him.
That's what the whole election was.
And so that's it.
This is clear, dude.
It's it's here we go.
It's about 2028 now.
And, you know, I'll say I'll say this, Robin, I apologize.
I'll turn it over to you and here you could give whatever thoughts you have.
But I got to say, I know that Brett Weinstein had floated out the idea of creating a new party the other day.
I know there's some people in the Libertarian Party, my brother, Michael Heist, who I absolutely love, I know, have like floated out this idea.
I got to say, man.
Really, after last night, I think it's more clear than ever, but this isn't the time to go third party or to create a third party.
This thing is for the Republican Party is right here for a serious, credible non interventionist to win the thing there is there's it's just not the time to go off and do that.
I think right now we should play to win.
We cannot let a Democrat become president in 2028 with the Democratic Congress.
I don't think it's fair.
I don't think it's an exaggeration to say, Rob, I have real concern for shows like ours surviving that I just don't I don't think that the Democrats were clearly playing for keeps last time they were not they had a senile president who could not get anything like, you know, could not convince anyone of anything.
They tried to put a Ministry of Truth in to the Department of Homeland Security.
That massive tech censorship.
We survived that by the skin of our teeth.
Let's not be I don't think I'm being hyperbolic or crazy here.
So, like, it's pretty clear here, man, the war there.
Look, the one good thing about all of this, Rob, is that we finally I think it's not just like we have a referendum on war.
It's like we have we have the results for the Republicans to look at.
This does not work if you attach it to this policy and it can work without it.
So I think it's a good thing.
Well, I largely agree with everything that you just said.
And I think on the big picture and more what's more impactful, you're you're 100 percent right.
But I do have a couple of caveats. Let's start with let's start with the last point first in terms of should the independents try and overtake the Republican Party?
I think absolutely. So I think there's a large contingency.
I mean, the 30 percent who still supported Donald Trump are just locked in with the Republican Party.
And if you can take over the party, you just have those voters.
And I think by and large, when you speak to Republicans, there's a lot of Republicans are actually libertarians.
They either just don't know what it is or they want to play for a winning team.
And I also think you're 100 percent right that anti-war and freedom and pro-privacy and other things, everyone when they campaign pretends to be an anti-war, essentially libertarian.
And they have to distort what the values of freedom are to try and pretend that their regulations actually are what give you freedom.
And so, yes, I agree with you.
um i think for the republican party and this this being a rebuke of trump i he's got two years left
as a theoretical if he ended the war tomorrow and we end up on an economic high there's a possibility
of jd vance winning i don't think that that's where we're gonna end up and so i think anyone
in this administration will not be able to run in the next election and if they do you are setting
up a victory for the democrats which will be catastrophic for the tech censorship reasons
that you just stated i also think that there's a very legitimate possibility that the republican
party has been very in line with trump because they had no choice and if perhaps more you'll
have more naysayers now um with that said we saw in the last midterms um well donald trump was
saying he was on the ballot and i think the majority of voters that did not uh that voted
democrat were anti-trump right now and that's why they voted against trump on the same note
if trump was actually running tomorrow trump can win people over and his endorsement is not the
same like if donald trump tomorrow were to run with jd vance it just doesn't really carry over
the people that love trump love trump for trump and and his his pitch for other people uh doesn't
really say or do all that much so while i do think most voters were voting against trump there's an
odd thing that like if donald trump was actually on the ballot he probably could have won over more
people i get what you're saying then you know then his the people he had picked you do you get
to some degree in the midterms you get the negatives of the president being on the ballot
without the positives there is some some degree of that and then look i mean you could think it's
not just true for trump i mean think of barack obama and hillary clinton right it's not that
easy to transfer your charisma to someone even if you have very similar politics and you're
standing right next to him and going, no, no, this is my person. It's just, it's not exactly
the same. Just, and one last point is, listen, I've said it on the show before, and these are
long shot odds. Both the people say that they have no interest in running, but from what I've seen,
I think John Ossoff can take out both Gavin Newsom and AOC in a primary. If he chooses to run,
I would be shocked if Democrats took the baggage of Newsom or the extreme, both stupidity and
socialist attitude of aoc over more milquetoast handsome uh establishment democrat and on the
republican side i think if josh hawley were to choose to run i think he could both take out um
i don't i don't see the general voters going for someone on going for also milk milk toast
establishment republican who pretends to be a populist and is almost a democratic socialist
in his own way but just doesn't have the trump baggage listen man i really do think um the three
i said this on pierce morgan uh last night but the three we got three options that are all really uh
you know had a lot of potential that are really great and it's tucker carlson thomas massey and
joe kent these are serious people i think any of those guys can win yeah i mean these are people
who are there for different reasons, but they all have credibility. They can say things and
you actually believe them. Joe Kent lost his wife in an illegal war and turned against the war
machine. Like that's real. You know, there's some there's a story there. Thomas Massey obviously
put it all on the line for the Epstein files to be released and was really against when there was
real political consequences on the line, still stood by his principles. And of course, Tucker
carlson host the biggest news show in america and so there's just something about you know i mean
you guys know how it is when you when you watch a show like this you do learn who someone is like
when you watch the show you do know me to some degree you do know rob after a while it's not
you know there's an interesting thing when you've listened to someone talk for so long and not just
listen to them talk but you've listened to them like think like you you i think you learn a lot
about somebody by like when you see how something's thrown at them how they adjust to that how they
take in that information like you just look and and i think people know that tucker means what
he's saying uh and so i just think man i think there is that look again these policies were
enormously popular and for good reason and i think like listen i i really do think like any one of
those three. And don't get me wrong. I'm sure if you just if you put any of those on a generic poll.
right now i'm not saying they'd be polling number one amongst republicans but again i'm telling you
as a presidential campaign actually starts you got to think about this man like just imagine
thomas massey runs for for president he is going to dominate and i mean dominate with a capital d
the podcast world like that the he is already immediately going to dominate the biggest media
apparatus in the country right now okay that's his starting point and he's gonna do it on the
issue that he's been proven correct about this is like ron paul talking about the economic crash
after the economic crash not when he's warning about it beforehand you already gave the democrats
the congress and stole his seat for him being right about the issue that gave them the congress
i just find there to be enormous potential there going forward but i also really do think this
is the republicans only chance this is our only chance you know all these people who were sitting
there the whole time you know this is what they've been saying to us rob for a year and a half
oh you gotta shut up about all of your completely valid criticism about donald trump because that'll
get democrats elected okay well we've already found out now we've all kind of acknowledged
it was the war that got democrats elected okay all right guys let's take a moment and thank our
sponsor for today's show which is goldback i love this company you know california just got its own
gold currency i'm serious about that goldback released a brand new california series and they
completely redesigned their original utah notes as well and here's why that matters everybody knows
inflation is real just watch my past interview with jeremy cordon if you don't he of course is
the ceo and founder of goldback but you already know inflation is real because you feel it every
time you're at the grocery store or pretty much any other store now goldback is the company that's
been around for a long time and gold is the obvious answer but for daily purchases you're
stuck using dollars that keep losing value well goldbacks fix this problem they're real 24 karat
gold that you can spend like cash no account no fees no data tracking person-to-person transactions
in a currency tied to gold already accepted at thousands of businesses across multiple states
it's one of the most affordable ways to own fractional gold and it's become the leading
non-crypto alternative currency in the country they are sponsors of the show and this is an
easy one
for us because of course it's a product we truly believe in that is designed to address an issue
uh that we are very much against and is caused by the government go to goldback.com slash dave if you
want to check out the new california series and the utah refresh and pre-order yours right now
that's goldback.com slash dave all right let's get back into the show so that's very useful
information this is the open challenge to all of these guys and this is why i think i rightfully
hit the turning point to the goldback series and i'm going to go back to the goldback series
it's like how do you not if you're gonna say if you're gonna admit now that this war that israel
got us into totally destroyed the coalition that was that was charlie kirk's entire life work well
then wasn't it obviously in hindsight the wrong move to not defend the guy who was the loudest
critic of going in this direction and standing up for what the the america first was supposed to be
seems fairly straightforward to me rob
all right i couldn't agree with you more on that so now there's another interesting angle uh that's
going on here and i will say i'm going to support this as much as i can i saw you know i was watching
uh some of the other coverage of the um of the midterms last night you know because i was
at out with pierce morgan all night so then i started you know i was up late reading and
watching other stuff and didn't get no sleep and then i was on the am track today bumped into chuck
todd by the way on the am track but he knew who i was he talks him yeah yeah i said i go chuck todd
and he goes hey dave i invited him on the podcast was it much of a conversation or just uh i know
i know you know i went i went uh i went what a night last night huh i got turns out that warrant
so popular and he goes no it's not and i go yeah but what i got no i just i just political junkied
out with him for a minute you know and i went i told him i said i go dude i said you should come
on my podcast sometime and i go honestly i promise i won't be mean or nothing and soundbag you it'd
be cool like i you know what i mean like because and i will if he said that but i don't think he
well anyway um but so i saw now would be his uh now would be his best opening to get along with
you and just kind of talk about uh donald trump blowing it and uh this would be his golden window
of opportunity where there's probably no issue that he's on air preaching about that you would
want to go after him for i haven't watched the show in forever but i bet there's uh matters of
agreement honestly i don't even know if he has a show anymore he was meet the press you know he did
host the biggest cable news show for a long time or the you know the longest running most prestigious
sunday news show but then they turned it over to that kristen walker lady i don't know what
he was doing exactly but he's still like a high big guy at the network um but uh anyway but so
so jank uger who however you guys feel about jank um look i i've i've come to really like the guy
and he's uh um obviously has very different politics than us but he and i thought this was
very interesting i texted him about this uh because i really liked this so he was saying
on his show which i thought was an interest so my attitude you know when i was asked about this on
pierre's show was i was kind of like well you know the democrats are um are gonna essentially
you know thwart trump's entire domestic agenda but they're never going to exercise their
constitutional authority to actually rein in his war powers which they could but they won't um
because they never do and so that's this is the worst of you know whatever this is not great and
you know what what jank said was different and it was more that politically speaking at least
the correct thing to say like where his mind might have been correct in terms of what's going
to happen jank said this and i thought it was a very good point he he said uh he said well look
there's a mandate there's a legit mandate for this congress and i really give him a lot of
credit because he could have you know tried to pretend that the mandate was for like democratic
socialism or something like that but that's not what he said and i gotta say i think he's right
about this he went look this is a mandate you look at numbers like this that's what we call
in this business a mandate i don't really love the term mandate but that is what they call it
in the news business um the mandate is to defund israel in the iran war that's the mandate that's
what people voted on like both of these issues both funding israel and the war in iran have become
opposed by super majorities super super majorities for the war um the you have a mandate this is
this is the popular issue and anyway i guess my point is that the left should be like we should
pressure the left to pressure the new democratic congress to defund those things that is what their
entire base wants and what we should also do rob right and i think we can without compromising our
honor i think there's nothing like like dishonorable about saying that like in a sense
like we can play both sides of that and when i say both sides of that meaning we can pressure them
to to pressure their congress the new congress that like yo you guys should be defunding israel
and iran because that's what your mandate is and also when they don't do that we can point out what
frauds they are you know like i think that is a very kind of useful thing to happen over the next
couple years um but you know like i like i think there's a lot of political usefulness in that
but anyway rob like i said it's a new chapter now you know this is uh the first day of like
the presidential election essentially this is like now we're starting that i really do think
like it it is useful to think of donald trump as a lame duck at this point it's just like we're we're
now in okay we're going to be living through impeachments and investigations they're gonna
they're going to go after a ton of people in trump's orbit i bet um pretty sure that's what's
what's coming um and then we're gonna see what the republican party that is just going to be um
absolutely shattered going into 2008 what can emerge out of that
well it's going to be a fun two years and it's going to be fun to see how donald trump tries to
play it you know so uh and uh like i said at the start of the show the democrats certainly
now have the power to go after corruption in the donald trump administration and to uh you know
maybe hold their feet to the fire that they want uh more epstein transparency and maybe hold their
feet to the fire over the iran war uh or you might just see them go after everybody over corruption
in like a chinese corruption type way uh you might see uh them pushing for more censorship
uh more socialist policies and you know so it they'll be interesting to see the way they actually
use the the power that they have dude isn't it crazy too that on top of everything as bad a night
as it was for, for the Republicans, like they, they barely hung on to Florida and they don't
almost lost that too it almost it could have been an even more devastating uh night um yeah man it's
uh i think i i guess again like you said there's certainly nothing to celebrate here from my
perspective about democrats getting power and it's not even as if the the socialists have like
taken over something like that it's like like the democratic establishment are the ones who are
going to have power here and that's who you know we've been concerned about for the last 15 years
um i do got to say though and this is the thing where whatever you know the all the people who
are trump supporters have been wrong about everything for a year and a half will are
allergic to pretending that they understand what you're saying here but as bad as it is that
democrats are in power again in a way it's quite possibly the case that it would have been worse
for this message tonight
you know we have what we have you know if you're like uh if you're if you're trapped in a in a
cellar and you got and the door's locked and you got to break out and you have like you know a
screwdriver and a hammer you don't sit there and just you know wish you had a crowbar it's like
well these are the tools we have you know and the tools we have are elections and the tools we have
are i guess podcasts whatever we have what we have we don't have the tools we have to do anything
don't have much more we can we have money you can send some money to a candidate or whatever but
like
if a president you know i said on um and i posted this video clip on twitter rob but i you know they
were i don't know at one point everyone was acknowledging that you know we really the war
was terrible and the war cost the country all this and so how do we disincentivize a president
from going to war and i said oh well how about we just prosecute all of them for war crimes and
convict them and lock them in prison for life and then the next president will be real concerned
about doing that it's like okay well that that's not gonna happen this is the best we got you know
like this is the best you could have you know it's like for a long time
people like me really wanted the fight to be about this issue
and the fight is about this issue now i think that makes sense i think it's an issue worth fighting
over and
if nothing else this is something for future presidents to think about i don't think it has
any effect on trump anymore it's over i don't know if there's anything that tethers him at this point
which is quite concerning but for future presidents to know that like hey the political
cost will be the absolute destruction of your presidency and your political party's control
of congress if you launch a stupid war of aggression is actually well
i don't know rob it's pretty important that there's some type of consequence for that
so at least last night we got that yeah i i think uh the problem is donald trump
is going to be searching for a win and then the question is does he become more aggressive
uh you know kind of like when you're down in the casino and you start playing placing crazy bets
to try and maybe make everything back so we got to wonder uh if that means he's going to be more
foolish and more aggressive or if uh he's actually going to accept oh wow people really don't like me
right now and uh be a little more tepid it's that that's right and that's the the real thing and as
always with trump it's like a who the fuck knows thing but now that everyone hates the war even
more because it just cost them all of this and everyone admits that is that enough for him to
go fuck i'll slink away and walk away the problem rob is i think you just already laid it out there
that's admitting defeat then well and and then and
that's and and whereas if you do some type of escalation there's still the hope maybe something
works out the i can really only think of one example in the uh current trump round two
administration but donald trump was trying to get money to the january six people and republican
senators had a shout down sit down with him where they basically said absolutely not and it was an
odd one because i was like trump's right on this they were done dirty by the justice department
and the republican senate
senators were more hey we can't actually uh admit that our justice department is so corrupt that
people were mistreated and need money or they actually believe it whatever however you want
to take it and trump's like oh you guys actually have a backbone on this all right fine i'll drop
it and he dropped it immediately uh the other example was uh when he wheeled and dealed with uh
mcconnell and i forgot what it was but he walked away i think from uh
from the elections no he walked away from giving pardons in the first administration i actually
believe it was uh i i think it might have even been to ross and someone else um and there was
some sort of a deal that he cut with mcconnell i remember i i i gotta go i think it was snow i think
it was snowed in and it was it was snowed in and it was over um impeachment it was over the january
6th the january 6th impeachment that's right yeah it's weird as you're saying it it's like coming
back to me that's right yeah and so donald trump will wheel and deal in this case he wheeled and
with the uh israel lobby for whatever reason and
that's who he lined himself with and i think as uh he's no longer holding the power that he was
some of the establishment republicans like even a ted cruz even though ted cruz is getting his way
with the war but your republican establishment people who clearly don't like trump but we're
going to be pro-trump people because they had to be i think that wheel might turn and then he might
have a lot more pressure within the party to be less of a lunatic yeah it's um it's there's a real
danger to like how trump might spin out
over over all of this and i'm a bit concerned a bit concerned about that we will see hopefully
melania and strap slap your name on stuff go ahead rename new mexico rename every Lake every bottle
of water redecorate Washington DC put your pillars in we'll pretend like you're a winner we'll support
you and we'll knock it all down when you're done that is not the worst plan I've heard yet well
look man it was uh that was something it was it was a real
um you know little moment in American history to uh to live through and it'll be very interesting
to see what it sets the table for and uh yeah we'll be here we'll be here to talk about it
um all right catch you guys next time peace
you
