Speaker 1moments define the trajectory of our lives and hear this and hear this well it is spiritual wisdom and maturity to be trained to learn to seize and catch the moments, to seize and catch the moments. Because you're going to have such moments in your life, whether privately or publicly in a meeting like RAIN Conference, you're going to have such moments in your life that will completely define the rest of your life. You heard the lady's story. Prior to that, this was her story. And in one year after RAIN Conference, you know, I, when they announced, and Pastor Dosey was sharing the testimony in the morning, I insisted. I said, I want to know who the person is. I don't want to audio testimony. I want to know who you are. I'm not, we're not trying to make God bigger than he is. He's already big. I don't need to patronize him or make him look like a miracle worker. If it's not true, it's not true. There's no need to add to what he has done. If what he did was one cm, it's enough to give glory to God. We don't have to add to it and try to make God look big. So I heard the testimony. Now I'm a believer, so I know full well that it's true. But I wanted to know who. Interestingly, the week before, two weeks before, I had spoken with the lady. I didn't know. And I was insistent. I said, I mean, I thought it was somebody else from one of our churches. Didn't know it was even a member of the Ikeja church. And then I insisted. And then she sends me pictures. Apparently, she's on my phone. I didn't even know. So she sends me pictures. And I was showing Pastor Diola. She was sending me pictures to show me I'm the one. It's a miracle. And it happened. It's real. Over 16 hours. Over 16 hours. What was that, Pastor? What was that thing that she said? The youngest female. Africa was superhero. Have you been watching cartoon with your kids? He's been watching a lot of cartoon with his kids. He's a good dad. Superhero of the hair. Is that what it is? Superhero, like Voltron and all the rest, like Superman. Oh, a superhero picture. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what she sent. I was like, oh, my God. Really? Where's that amazing picture? I was wondering what's this? And I said, well, let me just believe whatever it is. She reached it. Oh, my goodness. Amazing. That's powerful. Well, Petra, we got a superhero. All right. So we've got a superhero in Petra. And I said, when she's back, because Apprentice is going to do a conference in the United Kingdom. That I did pray for her for, and I didn't know. When she's back, we will celebrate what God has done very well. And guess what? You're next in line. Because all it takes, all it takes is, all it takes is one moment with the Spirit of the Lord. That's all it takes. That's all it takes. I was in worry to preach. And, you know, worry people are completely different. So, hello, if you're here, you, all right. I mean, you're more like Jesus. That's what I mean. So, so it was an amazing time. I mean, I was, I was intrigued by a lot of things that were happening, because it was my first time, not in worry, but being, you know, so close. And then my friend, the pastor came up the stage, and he made a statement I loved so much. And I said, I was going to say it sometime. He said, in Pidgin English, my Pidgin definitely is not as solid as it should be. But he said, I'm going to say it sometime. And I said, I'm going to say it sometime. He said, God no need time. Now you need faith. Don't write it in English. Write it in Pidgin. Then you're not. I command you. It's a commandment of the Lord. Write it in Pidgin. Yes. Are you done? God. No. It's not no. No. I remember God no need time. And you know, I was sitting there, and I, I was meditating on it. And I thought it was one of the most powerful things I've heard in my life. I thought it was one of the most phenomenal thoughts. God no need time. I'll tell you, you're doing this. It will take seven years. God no need time. Now you suppose catch moments. Glory to God. Now I want you to preach to your neighbor. Tell your neighbor neighbor. God no need time. Now you need faith. Say you got faith. You all make a wonderful choir. I love it. God no need time. I can close. I'm done. God no need time. Now you need faith. Powerful. Hmm. Our lives are made in moments. Are you listening to what I'm saying here? Just one moment. Just an encounter with the Holy Spirit. Just an encounter with the Lord. And everything is completely altered. Radically changed. I've had such moments in my life. Such powerful moments of encounter with the Spirit of the Lord. And you know, we have prayed. We have planned. We're planning. And everything we're doing. Everything. Everything we're doing. The truth of the matter is you you have you you definitely most likely have no idea how much planning goes behind the scene. All of that. I mean, people sleeping out of their houses. Days nonstop in prayer in logistics and several things. Some people literally breaking down in their bodies. And all of that is just for you to have a moment of encounter with the Spirit of the Lord. Just for you. It's because of you. And I'm persuaded you won't miss yours. You won't. You won't. You won't miss yours. You won't. Imagine Moses missed the burning bush. And he didn't turn aside at that moment. Exodus chapter three verse one down to verse three. And he didn't turn aside. Imagine. Just a moment. I want you to think of it. It was a moment. A moment of encounter. Now go. Tell them this. Tell them that. Go to Pharaoh. Say this to the people. Imagine that the entire destiny of a nation was hanging on a man's sensitivity to his moments. That three million people, their entire. I don't know if you've ever thought of it. Have you considered that three million people, their destiny was hanging on one man? One man. If he missed it, what would have happened to the three million? You know what we say generally? God would have found himself anybody else. Do you know how long it takes to find a man? Do you know how long it takes? To put it in context, the Bible tells us that Moses, you may see them. The Bible tells us that Moses at the 390th year of their sojourn in the land of Egypt, the Bible tells us clearly that he came into his hearts to go into the land and deliver his brethren, the Israelites. We know he stepped out of time. He messed up God's plan. Guess what? That, that entire operation was not a spectacular one. It was just the inward witness. Just a sense. This is not where I'm supposed to be. I'm not supposed to be in the palace. I'm supposed to deliver these people. He didn't have details. He didn't know exactly what to do. He didn't know how to do it. He just knew in his heart that this is what he was supposed to do. He stepped out and messed it up. Guess what? And this is the way it happens with a lot of us many a times. I don't know how many of you heard God. You stepped out. You did what you said. You heard God say you should do and you failed. Anybody like that? If your hands are not lifted, it's either of two things. You're here. This air. This air. We need to syringe it with Holy Ghost. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Are you following what I'm saying here? Or number two, you are very stubborn because every time God speaks to you, you say, Kai, no, no, no, no, no. So God knew Moses had that such an experience, a lead had been created over his mind. He knew that by the inward witness, he wasn't going to respond. So what did God do? He created a burning bush, a moment of encounter. And the Bible tells us if you study it very well, the Bible says that the angel of the Lord was waiting in the burning bush. bush to speak to moses in essence it wasn't about the burning bush it was about the angel of the lord it is not about the light stage and sound it's about the spirit of god waiting for you are you listening to what i'm saying and then the bible tells us he says and moses turned aside to see the sides for the bush was burning and yet he was not consumed and guess what it was until he turned aside that god spoke hear me here god is everywhere but he doesn't speak every time you won't hear that voice until you turn aside learning to turn aside that's why we have meetings like this and in one minute in one minute one moment one second the destiny of a nation are you listening to what i'm saying here the destiny of a people three million people how about gideon how about gideon how about gideon how about gideon i can go on and on how about abraham you know many times we read the stories and i was i don't know where i was and i was trying to share with them now you know sometimes when we read their stories you should actually remind yourself that they were human with flesh and blood at 75 years of age i was telling them somewhere i don't remember where some days ago i was preaching somewhere and i said to them i said don't you think that it was interesting that god waited till abraham was 75 you know when you're 20 you are ready to take risk when you're 30 your risk appetite is high by the time you drop one child and you get what i'm saying and then you drop a second one those days that you used to go bungee jumping and do all those things i'm an adrenaline freak by the time you entered the thing you remember three children at home all of a sudden you find out that your risk appetite is dropping simply because you have more responsibilities imagine if he were 30 maybe he would be able to take more god waited till he was 40 50 60 at 75 that's when god starts speaking and says leave your father's house at what age leave the country you're used to at what age listen it's not too late for the man with an encounter it's never too late it's never too late it's never too late i am a product of several encounters so i know what i'm talking about i know what i'm talking about very quickly i am a product of several encounters so i know what i'm talking about very quickly of a moment with god remember these last couple of sundays are basically to prepare us to make the most of the meeting and just by human reasoning i wanted to ask yourself what's the big deal why is it that we are devoting several sundays because of three days why are we praying and fasting 21 days did you kill jesus three hour prayer watch every watch we are praying listen if you know the amount of prayer that has been loaded into the cartridges of heaven by the time we are printing our destinies you'll be shocked at how colorful it will look i'm telling you i'm telling you the truth you'd be shocked if you know the question is why why the making of a moment with god a moment with god that date you're going to write in your notes and you'll reading understanding the anointing by bishop david and i had gotten to where he was talking about john g lake and my heart was stared i thought to myself if john g lake had this then i can have it and i decided i was going to wait behind after the service i mean cut long story short you mean many of you know the story already by now you can tell the story better than i can tell it i put my head under the desk there to pray and um that encounter with the lord where the lord began to speak to me and then he said to me he said that which is called the teaching gift to my word is now deposited the university to his name algae letonia by the spirit in prayer would have visions of at moving he didn't they didn't call them at moving equipments at the time they were just machines and he would draw the machines he never listened he dropped out at 14 years of age but he would draw the machines and algae letonia will take his scribblings his drawings and give it to engineers who had gone to school to fabricate what we call you know cat tractor all those tractors and everything it was algae letonia that fabricated that designed all of them without having gone to school he designed it by the spirit and he would draw those things he would give them and then they will fabricate them i mean he had over 300 patents of things that he fabricated haven't never gone to school but can i tell you something we tell their stories many times but we don't tell their moments letonia said one day he was in prayer with the lord and the lord said to him he said would you become a businessman with me would you be my partner in business and the lord said i will be the senior partner you'd be the junior partner you know like you have in all these um financial firms and all the rest and they talk about different partners he said i'll be the senior partner you'll be the junior partner and that day he signed a covenant with the lord to say listen i am going to be your partner in this now many times we don't tell of such moments that birthed all the exploits that we talk about so much so to the extent that god spoke to him about his finances one day they asked him they said how much do you how much do you give to lord he said it's not how much of god it's not how much of my money i give to the lord it is how much of god's money i'm permitted to keep oh you didn't hear what i said you didn't hear what i said you didn't hear what i said it takes it takes a moment with the lord convictions are birthed clarity comes are you listening to what i'm saying here he said it's not how much of my money i give to god it's how much of god's money i'm permitted to keep men of exploits are men of encounters you never find a man doing anything great wonderful for god or for satan without a definite encounter encounters are not christian things alone they are spiritual things spiritual things are you still here this is your moment did you hear what i said i said this is your moments now hear you the word of the lord everything will change everything hear you the word of the lord the bible says that everywhere the river goes it says everything shall leave everywhere the river goes everything that is dead in your life is coming alive everything it's a season of newness are you hearing what i'm saying here listen to me you will shock yourself i'm telling you you will shock yourself you'd be amazed at the things god will bring out of you you would be amazed you'd be amazed thank you holy spirit sit down for a bit sit down for a bit we're talking about the making of a moment with god the making of a moment how a man can engineer an encounter with god you see because smith rick was upset something powerful he said if the spirit does not move me i will move the spirit so there are those encounters things that are engineered by god's spirit but i found out as well that god moves in response to our hunger to our desperation to our fate and it's a it's an amazing thing when the sovereign declared plan of god coincides with your desperation and your fate it's an amazing thing now can i give you examples of where in scripture it would seem almost as though the spirit of the lord had no plans for this in quotes in inverted commas yeah the bible tells us that woman with the issue of blood pressed through the crowd and touched on jesus the bible says virtue flowed out of her and power went into her body she was completely healed the blood flow stopped immediately at that moment and the bible says jesus stopped in his tracks he said somebody touched me the disciples said well there's a crowd there's a trunk here how then do you say somebody touched me he said listen i know that somebody by faith touched me the woman fearing in herself knowing what she had done came to jesus bowing down at his feet and she said i touched you and then the bible says jesus looked at her and he said go away for your fate has made you whole not necessarily the power that came out of me but your fate but remember the woman said consistently she said if i may but touch the helm of his garment and the bible tells us jesus was unaware at least from the record that we have he was unaware that she was there he didn't plan to heal anybody at least so much so he knew there was a connection there was a connection he couldn't even tell who it was but she decided how much more when heaven decides and then you decide how much more let me tell you what it looks like it looks like rain conference that's what it looks like that's what it looks like how do we take advantage of the moments god is making available to us i shared with you last week very briefly as well on the move of the spirit you should listen to that over and over again you learn how to partner with the holy ghost when he starts moving you see because everything in god's kingdom is a partnership you've got to learn that Acts chapter 2 the Bible says that cloven tongues as a fire came upon them there was a mighty rushing wind and all the rest cloven tongues as a fire came upon them and the Bible says they began to speak in other tongues as the Holy Ghost gave them utterance who gave the utterance who did the speaking come on talk to me who gave the utterance come on with a loud voice who gave the utterance who did the speaking was it the Holy Ghost that did the speaking which means the Holy Ghost can give the utterance and we refuse to do the speaking it's a partnership he'll give the utterance but we must do the speaking he'll put the laughter but we must do the laughing glory to God he'll put the anointing but we must do the running and the spirit of the Lord came upon Elijah and the Bible says that he ran and outran the best chariots of the land the Holy Ghost won't do the running you will do the running it's a partnership he will provide the he will provide the inspiration but then we must learn to partner with him that's how to take advantage of moments that's how to take advantage of moments five things five things in the making of a moment with God very practical things simple things just to help you number one this is the first thing this is listen every encounter starts from here number one no man encounters God until he acknowledges his need for God no man encounters God until he acknowledges his need for God the spirit of the Lord is drawn and when I use the word drawn I mean drawn drawn drawn into places and people that have an acknowledgement of their need for him desperation precedes encounters hunger and strong desire precedes the move of God if God can get you hungry then everything else has been sorted John Gillick that great man of God he said something he said desperation has a voice hunger has a voice he said you know he said you know when you see people who are hungry worshiping it's completely different from those who are satisfied those who are okay there's a difference earlier today my wife had insisted well we've got to do something for the kids so we took them out and as she placed the order and they were done I looked at the young lady and I said to her I said I'm hungry you have to be very quick You could see the desperation at the point my wife had gone with the kids. And as she walked back, because I was by myself, she said, you are looking bored. I said, no, you didn't get it. I'm hungry. I'm famished. That's the word. Have you ever been famished before? Do you have, how many of you realize that when you're famished, you don't have time to check whether you're fine or not? I know some of you must be fine. I get it. I get it. You don't have the time. Everything tastes good. To a hungry man. Have you ever eaten something before? He said, this is really good. Really good. Then when you were full, you went to eat it. I was like, what? This is horrible. It's terrible. Hunger. I found out that what precedes every move of God's spirit is hunger. Luke chapter 1 verse 53. Observe something very important there. Pastor Sincom, I want you to see this. You're going to preach with me. So maybe you just get all your stuffs and all the rest. And he's tall enough to be like Jesus. Okay? Because you know, many of us have the idea that Jesus was a very tall man. Have you ever considered of a short Jesus? You even don't want your savior to be short. Henceforth, knowing no man after the flesh. What's your problem? Some of you cannot imagine that Jesus was a short man. Imagine just like this. You can't even imagine it. Let me ask you a question. The height, does it affect the potency of the blood? Does it? Now, people are arguing whether Jesus was white or he was black. Whether he was white or he was black. What's my business? He saved me. Do you know? You know, there are people who argue and they say things like, you know, ladies should not preach. Because the Bible says ladies should not preach. Why would a lady come and preach in church? What's the meaning of that? Let's stay theological. First things first. They don't know Bible. It is ignorance. It's a rampage. Because if you study the word of God, you would know the context in which Paul said what he said. But that's not where we're going today. I love what Rahat Banke said. He said, when you are drowning at sea, and your lifeguard, or what do they call them, is a lady. Swimming to you to help you. He said, no. No. No, he's man I want. He's man. No. That's the way people are. You are drowning. He says, he's man you want. I said that because of those ladies who are not sure of the call of God on their lives. Step out. With counsel. So here's Jesus come. He was seated at one corner in the party. I can imagine that Jesus was not doing. I can imagine. He must have. God's tease and composure. Do you care what I'm saying? He was in one corner of the party, just seated there. Have you ever imagined the tease of Jesus? 12 protocols. 12. I don't know if you think of it. You really think that Jesus would be walking? His 12 guys were always with him. Jesus would be walking like this. And 12 of them. Peter, I want to eat. And 12 people go and buy food. Is that how much Jesus ate? 12 of them. So here's Jesus. And he was just in one corner of the wedding. And now wine is gone. Did Jesus know wine was gone? Yes. He was in the wedding. It doesn't take long to know food has finished. It doesn't take long. Have you ever attended a wedding before? And if it's Nigerian wedding, have you noticed your table they don't serve? For some reason, it's your table. Every time you sit on a table, that table just becomes the unserved table. For whatever reason it is. The last time my wife. I know we're somewhere. They were passing by us. I wonder, what kind of problem is this? I don't go for parties. Now I've come. They didn't serve us. Finally, when they brought it, I was angry. I'm not eating. I'm not eating. Take our food. I'm not eating. Zip food, I came to eat here. Yes, it's food. We came to rejoice and eat food. Let's be serious. So you can imagine Jesus is there. Wine had finished. Did he move? Did he do anything? No. No, he knew wine had finished. Can I tell you something? It's an amazing thing about the Lord. It would almost seem as though he's uninterested till you ask. Because if you don't have a sense of need for it, you will never value it when it comes. Do you know even in the process of salvation, this is what God did. Why didn't he bring Jesus just after Adam had sinned? And Cain had murdered his brother. Why not? He waited till the law came. What was the essence of the law? The law was a schoolmaster to bring God to Christ. That by the law, man may be condemned in his own eyes. He can now say, I'm a sinner. And condemnation comes to him. And on the basis of that, when the gospel is preached, he knows this is the only way out. If you don't know you need it, you will never take it. That's why when you study the Holy Ghost in Genesis chapter 1, the third verse, the second and third verse, the Bible says the Holy Ghost was. This will amaze you. This will amaze you. Do you know that that's the only time we are told about the Holy Ghost in that chapter? Once creation started, it seemed as though the Holy Ghost stepped back. You didn't hear that now. Light was. And the Holy Ghost was circling around it like moving head. No. You didn't hear that trees and vacations had come. Now the Holy Ghost created the hallow around them. No. There's something about darkness, brokenness. The sense of need. The sense of need. You follow what I'm saying here? The desperation for more. If I don't have this, then I'm done for. The desperation that draws God in. I love what Smith-Hughesot said. He said, God will pass over a thousand people to the man of hunger and faith. He will pass over them. Pass over them. He had this unlearnedness that the Holy Ghost is in a place. It does not mean you will encounter him. It's your hunger that invites him. It's your hunger. The reason. The rich has his scent away empty-handed. But the poor, he has filled with good things. Are you hearing what I'm saying here? You come in rich, full of yourself. say go your way when you listen let me tell you this everybody will need God everybody ah forget it everybody do you understand everybody do you understand what I'm saying here continue continue on those things be wearing mascara that is long like whatever wear foundation that is bigger than the foundation of your house continue continue carry six pack and be going everywhere be going everywhere continue every man will need God someday I pray it won't be in an acute place training yourself to desire him to be desperate for him are you hearing what I'm saying here ah hunger has a voice there's a way you pray when you're hungry do you understand what I'm saying here there's a way you worship when you're hungry there's a way you pray when you're hungry you groan when you're hungry Jesus sat there almost as though he was oblivious of all that was happening until the man the people asked and came to him hunger precedes encounters did you hear what I said please ask the person beside you how hungry are you how hungry are you how hungry are you how hungry are you it's too early to be satisfied please tell the person it's too early it's too early look at him say I know you small yeah I know you it's too early it's too early it's too early number two I told you I just wanted to give you five practical steps this is Jesus okay black Jesus we're in time number two intercession precedes encounters immediately you see what was the first that initiated that entire process of a moment with the Lord what was the first thing Mary walked up to Jesus and she said they have need of wine intercession intercession that is how we get the Divine leg into the equation are you following what I'm saying here intercession that is why we have been praying as much as we have been praying fasting as much as we have been fasting it is not to get you can't intercede to move do you observe that even after Mary said what she said Jesus did not move so the intercession is not to move God oh God move you know brother Hagen said one time he saw some guy praying and he just wanted to hear what the guy was praying he said the guy said oh God move oh God move and brother Hagen said well well well well well that can be explained a bit and then he added the other part by hook or by crook you're all are laughing you know I can be I can I can imagine how many times the angels are shocked at the prayers of the saints I can imagine the angels if they are like my wife and I the angels are probably going to say there's a new one here and Gabriel will go Kai they innovate things in Nigeria you can imagine by hook or by crook oh God move move no your prayer is not going to make him move no he's moved already are you following what I'm saying however your prayer positions you for what he wants to do it positions you it positions you for what he wants to do so intercession must go I remember what um one of our my dear daughter said at one of the talk shows and he blessed I mean I'd said it several times but he just blessed me in a way that beyond even how I mean it's blessed me by me saying it the law of the husbandman that the husbandman is the first partaker it's a law it's not an advice the husbandman which means whatever you make happen the law is this that you must be the first particular it's a spiritual hack which means as we are interceding and you're praying those prayers it's not a waste of time no no it's not a waste of time it's a seed you're sowing into your spiritual account so intercession prayers watch brains hunger without prayer listen desperation without prayer is an emotional outburst you must Channel your desperation into prayer is somebody hearing what I'm saying here I want to ask you a question who is that person that is not returning the same way after rain conference can I see that hand who is that person who is that person let me tell you something you are going to share testimonies that you if it's not you that it happened to you will actually question the veracity of the testimony I said you seated here will share such testimonies listen to me let's believe Bible let us believe the Bible let me ask you a question if they came and they told you that there was a man who carried a rod and he stretched the rod and the Red Sea parted and you were not there and it's not Bible you are reading what will you say we went for a conference and the man preach we forgot time then he said he wanted to feed us then he brought five loaves and he gave his Associates as they were breaking it the thing was now multiplying and multiplying and multiplying and multiplying and multiplying then we thought that was all he now had a sardine on top they now broke the sardine they broke the fish they broke the fish guess what you know I said this at special midweek service about the love of Jesus for bread and fish oh yes there's a there's there's an affinity between Jesus and bread and fish I don't know for whatever reason it is but his miracles of food were bread and fish even when he rose from the dead he still ate he in his glorified body he now this time now it's the bread and the fish with the disciples that I'm going through this is to me imagine oh by the way I just want to tell you this somebody sent me a message he said she was holding bread and sardine at the time I said it at that midweek you know we had one watchtower I don't remember where I said some of you have um cake in one pocket my media guy sent me a message he says pastor somebody just said cake and you know what the Lord said to me it was after the midweek service the special midweek service the Lord said to me he said even you you need to be conscious of the fact that the prophetic is so strong in your life that even an illustration can be a word of knowledge it can be a word of wisdom so I I had to learn I had to step back and say listen you've got to be careful and it will bless you to be to to learn that so imagine this imagine they told you all of those things you think they exaggerated it can I tell you something when you tell your story your amen does not sound exaggerated when you tell your story they will say come on I said when you tell your story when you tell your story they will say you exaggerated it if we are believers let's be believers if we are believers let us be what believers sit down for a bit thank you Holy Spirit number three men are God's methods men are God's methods what do I mean by this you know when you read this story you are reading it with the mindset of Jesus Christ of Nazareth the son of the living God I hope you know he wasn't Jesus Christ of Nazareth the son of the living God to them he had not even performed a miracle are you following what I'm saying here it was Jesus Christ of Nazareth the son of the living God to them he had not even performed a miracle are you following what I'm saying here it was Jesus the carpenter's son he was just an average Joe he was just an average guy in the crowd are you following what I'm saying here you have to understand this that God has not changed that he uses men to change men he uses men to build men he uses men as his methods and his means to bring the answers that people have desired are you listening to what I'm saying here how did he visit Israel by sending Moses it was in Moses encounter that Israel found their answers in the same way you're going to come into the meeting and this is so important you don't attend you don't just come and say well pastor is going to say something nice and all the rest no I don't have the time to say something nice not at all I'm not I'm not trying to teach you nice listen if if I need to impress you in teaching the word of God I've done that I've done it I don't have to impress you I'm not trying to teach you a nice message hear me and hear me well there is the difference between receiving a person as a great teacher or whatever it is and receiving the person as sent to you there is the concept of the sent one are you hearing what I'm saying here let me read you a scripture Matthew chapter 23 verse 37. our Jesus is doing fine our lucky Jesus Matthew 23 37. glory to God I want you to follow this it says oh Jerusalem Jerusalem thou that killeth the prophets and stonest them which are sent unto thee underline that in your Bible sent unto thee so God sends men to men. And he said, Jerusalem, here's the problem. You killed your prophets. You killed those who were sent on to you. I sent them to you and you killed them. You didn't value them. You didn't give the attention you should have given to them. In the same manner, in the mercy of God, he says that God sent Jesus as well. We can read on. He says, as soon as they which are sent unto thee, how often I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathered her chickens under her wings, and you would not. Look at the result of this verse 38. One to go. What does he read? Behold, your house is left unto you. What? Desolate. Why? You didn't receive the one God sent to you. Now, do you know they were praying? They may have been praying in their closets, doing everything. Many people don't realize this. Let me give you a practical example in scriptures. How many of you remember Hannah? They're praying and desirous of, oh God, I want this. Oh God, I want this. Oh God, I want this. Oh God, I want a torch. Oh God, I want this. Oh God, I want. I want that. And then she prayed and prayed and prayed. And here comes drunken master Eli. He was in his fallen state. And he looks at the lady. And guess what he said to her? He said, why are you drunk? How many of you have felt that people were insensitive by some statements they made? If it was a 21st century believer, all right, all right. If it's us, do you know what they would have said? Very insensitive pastor. They're very insensitive. I'm not saying you should not talk. There's a way they talk to people. When people are going through a lot. Once you see the way somebody's praying, you should know that they are going through a lot. There's a way you talk to people. All these insensitive pastors. That's why I don't like these churches. That's why I don't like them. That's why I like to go to old people's churches. I like them. They're very insensitive people. So imagine this insensitive high priest. How can you be drunken at this time? She said, not so my Lord. It's the anguish of my soul. Then he looked at her. He said, stand up. Your prayer is answered. Do you know what the Bible says? She stood up, left the place. She stopped praying. She went to wear makeup because she wasn't wearing before. She wore her makeup full. Are you get what I'm saying? Then she went to get her party clothes and stepped out of the place like nothing. Are you get what I'm saying here? She knew. That because of the word from Eli, she knew it was done. Eli. Eli. Eli. Drunken master Eli. She knew it was done. Please tell the person beside you, men are God's methods. Look at the next thing Jesus said here. He said, for I say unto you, now follow this. You shall not see me. Who is the me? Jesus. Jesus. I want you to see, you see the two layers of meaning in this. Because when you read this verse, you shall not see me. Henceforth till you say, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Literal interpretation was the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. You remember that? Literal interpretation. But prophetic meaning, follow what Jesus said. Who is the me? Jesus. When he says you shall not see me, you will not have those encounters. Because Jesus was not going to be there forever anymore. But you will not see me. Until what? What is the key? Until you say, blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord. He didn't say blessed am I that comes in the name of the Lord. He distinguishes between me and he that comes in the name of the Lord. Which means God can send people in his name to you. And as you discern and receive them, he says, he says you will see me. What is an encounter? To see him. Is somebody following what I'm saying here? That's why you can be under a teaching. And then you say to yourself, God has sent this person to me. You receive that person in that capacity. Suddenly you start hearing things. I've told you my story before with Maurice Serulo who came into Nigeria. And the Lord said to me, he said he's the last of the batch of the healing school revivalists. Healing age revivalists. He said he's the last of them. I'd never thought of it. He said I want you to get into that meeting. He said I have an inheritance for you there. I'd never forget it. Took my last money to go to Portacots. To David Biome's church where he was being hosted. My friends and I, about four of us, all we could get together. Pastor Joseph remember, I will say pastor he was there. Four of us could only get one room together in that hotel. And I mean three, two slept on the bed. The rest of you, anywhere you find yourself, just sleep. He wasn't comfortable in any way. But I knew God, can I ask you a question? Could I not pray by myself in my closet and God would do what he wanted to do? Why did he tell me, go to that meeting? I have something for you there. Did he not say to Jeremiah, go to the potter's house. I will speak to you there. I will cause you to hear my words there. Why the potter's house? The God that was telling him to go, couldn't it speak to him? There are places of encounters. Can I ask you a question? Listen, we don't defy experiences, but we learn from them. Why didn't they just gather anywhere they were and they prayed by themselves and all of them were referred to where they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Why was it that when God was going to take of the spirit upon Moses, all of them had to come to the mountain in the mercy of God. Those who are not there were filled, but all of them had to come to the mountain. Why were they all in the upper room at the same time? That you were an apostle or a disciple did not mean you are going to partake of Pentecost if you are not at the right place. God sends men with his word. I can tell you stories upon stories. The first night, Apostle Amor preached. Pastor David Ibeome preached. Dr. Paul Eneche preached. Then Maurice Sarullo came up the stage. I remember the moment with tears in my eyes because I was seated far there. And I don't know if you understand. I'm sure you've had such experiences. Where you are seated and every moment is counting. Every moment is counting. I didn't come here to have fun. With tears in my eyes literally all through the service Lord. I've not heard, there's something. We're done with the meeting. My notes were full. And I thought to myself, I'm blessed by hearing God's word edified. But there's something. There's something I'm looking for. We went into our hotel room that night and we spoke a lot into the night. And they all went to bed. And I went under my desk. I remember actually going outside the hotel. And I looked everywhere. If I began to pray with the desperation and hunger, they would come chase me away. I was very angry that we slept in the hotel. I felt like we should have slept under the tree or something. Where I can scream and nobody would disturb me. Listen to me. If you want soft life in the public, there's a ruggedity you must have in the secret. If you want the, you can just come out and say, no man eats fruit of you hereafter. There's a ruggedity you must have in the secret place. I remember that night I went back into the room. Many of you have heard the stories before. And I put my head again under the table. I actually went under the table. And I bent over. And I had made a promise to the Lord. I said, Lord, I'm going to pray here. I'm staying here for as long as it takes. I remember I prayed that entire night. I think I must have fallen asleep at some point. And they tapped me and they said, sir, we have to leave for the meeting. Because we had to be seated by 7 a.m. or else there was going to be no space to sit down. So we rushed. This was about past six. By the time we got there, the whole auditorium was full. We were in the overflow. The overflow. I remember there was a huge screen just like this. And I was sitting there far back in the overflow. And again I was there. I said, Lord, this has to be my moment. This has to be my moment. One of those moments I've heard the audible voice of the Lord. I heard the word of the Lord. He said, now pick your pen and write. So I picked my book, a blue book, very small. And I picked my pen. He said, these are the five keys to the healing ministry. He said, these are the things to do. He said. He said, any time you sense the healing anointing waning, and you're not seeing the effects of the healing anointing like you think you should, he said, go through the five of them and it will come back stronger again. Never read it anywhere. Never heard it from anybody. Many years after, Maurice Erulo died. I remember my wife would remember. I told all my friends. I said, God told me he's going to die very soon. In fact, God put a time to it. He said, in less than a decade, he'll be gone. It was about seven years after that or so. He passed on to glory. But I had received what God wanted me to receive. I'd been in that meeting. A couple of years after that, I'd gone to see a father of the faith in this country. The Lord had told me, he said, take a seat to him. And I remember, I called the son and I said, hello, I'd like to see your dad. And I want you to know, I do not need audience for anything. I'm not, I'm not looking for anything. I'm not trying to, I just want to sow the seed that the Lord has asked me to sow. He said, is that it? I said, you can try. trust. So he booked a meeting with his father. And so I will see that across his father and the man looked at me he said you said god told you to bring me a seat i said yes sir he said it a second time god told you to bring me a seat i said yes sir he said you mean you left lagos and traveled all the way to bring me a seat never met you before i said yes that's the instruction of the lord and he said to me he said i want to give you the five keys to the apostolic ministry he called it the apostolic ministry number one number two number three number four number five the very five things god had spoken to me couple of years back in portico the lord called it the healing ministry he called it the apostolic ministry i broke down literally where i was i said for goodness gracious how could this be how could it be listen to me there's no man who works with god who doesn't have stories if you genuinely work with the lord you'd have stories where you met god where god met you where god spoke where god changed your life where god touched you where god started the journey and hear me and hear me well where god rewrote your story because i sense by the holy ghost that there are men and women here that god is not just changing things no he's not just adding he's not just improving there's a story and a trajectory that you're on that the lord says that's not what i planned for you he's picking his pen and he's writing a new story with your life a new story i see the king seeing a hand writing on the wall the king saw i saw a hand writing on the wall many many take care of person if the hand of god can write judgment his hand will write more of mercy that same hand will appear on the slate of your life see at the spirit of the lord and he's not just adjusting and adding improving and restoring no he's writing a new story for there'll be men and women that are set on trajectories and paths that i didn't plan for them he could be by error or by the oppression of satan by the oppression of the enemy and you found yourself on a journey some of you have accepted maybe maybe this is all god wants for me maybe this is all that would happen but no say at the spirit of the lord no no say at the spirit of the lord there's a complete turnaround and my hand is writing a new story say at the lord thank you holy spirit oh thank you holy spirit if he could call light out of darkness if he could call beauty out of chaos he's gonna call beauty out of your life oh yes i know you you can imagine how will these things be how shall these things turn out oh well how shall these things happen well it's not by might it's not by power but by my spirit said the lord he's calling out light out of your darkness glory out of your mess beauty out of the chaos order out of the confusion say at the spirit of the lord thank you holy ghost thank you lord thank you lord hallelujah hallelujah so you say blessed is he that come into the name of the lord god has sent him to me god has put my word in this mount god has put are you hearing what i'm saying here you're not casual about it the church needs to be trained in these things again you're not casual well i'm going to hear another word no no we speak as oracles of god an oracle is the voice of a god are you hearing what i'm saying here when they say the oracle has spoken we are saying that god has delivered the message number four number four the anointing of the holy ghost is all over this place number four waiting is the posture for encounters write that down waiting is the posture for encounters waiting is the posture for encounters what do i mean by that just a second i wanted to see this here is jesus he's sitting in one corner what did mary say to them whatever he tells you to do do it you know when we read that we assume that two minutes after he called them okay now go get water and put it into water pots what you don't realize is this it might have been one hour after it may have been if it's the same jesus that waited four days before he went to lazarus it may have been four hours after never in a hard he created time do you understand what i'm saying here it may have been four hours after imagine the wine was finished and for one hour do you know what everybody would have been doing running elta skelter who can we call who do you know what contact do you have what can we do what are the options but what was the instruction wait the man who is waiting is not wasting time he is not wasting time he is not wasting time he is not wasting time did you hear what i said the man who is waiting is not wasting time you're the one who thinks you're wasting time imagine everybody running elta's counter and here is peter james and john and the other nine their hands folded waiting and everybody will pass by them and say you are irresponsible you can imagine you are very irresponsible because many times people associate responsibility with activity unfortunately so hear me and hear me well one hour of waiting one hour one day of waiting will give more value to 10 years of work much more value they that wait upon the lord they shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and not grow weary are you hearing what i'm saying here the post choice waits you're seated there you're waiting 30 minutes before the meeting you are seated already you do the pleasantries you greet one person you greet the other person but you excuse yourself away this is not a social gathering are you hearing what i'm saying here i want you for a moment come come to me come come damn larry come for a moment imagine to me she's peter come quickly walk like peter walk like peter this is peter here standing by jesus imagine damn larry comes around come quickly and then i'm already starts engaging him hey how you doing to me engage him and now jesus is talking go get water and put it into the water pots guess what because his focus was taken away how long does it take to say get water and put it in the water pots a millisecond that's how long it takes to miss an encounter learning to focus turn off your phone did you hear what i said you turn it off this one hour will give more value to 10 years of my life than my phone will ever give you turn it off you walk away from friends it is when men are left alone that they encounter god and jacob was left alone you sit down there if you have to kneel down so nobody will disturb you turn your face to the wall you are ready to receive you're waiting for the whistle the person comes upstage and says glory to god and that is your moment can i tell you something god reserves to himself the time to visit he can visit during worship are you hearing what i'm saying here what it demands of us is to what waits when you're waiting on someone your gaze is on him are you hearing what i'm saying your gaze is on the person everything else however legitimate it may be is a distraction are you listening to what i'm saying you drop all the distractions as much as is possible because this moment will count for the rest of my life it will count for the rest of my life what if moses missed that moment three times in a row and i'm going to tell you what i'm going to tell you about the moment three times in a row and i'm going to tell you what i'm going to tell you million people was in a moment what if lastly number five number five thank you holy spirit nice as you go peter batulumi number five seek his voice not an experience seek his voice this is where a lot of people get into error they are seeking experiences they are seeking experiences oh by the way when the spirit gets to move in there will be experiences people will fall under the power people will laugh in the spirit We've had amazing Tremendous breakouts of the Holy Ghost In the last couple of weeks There will be such moments But I want to tell you something What changes us is what we hear That's what changes us Seek the voice of the Lord Please write this down The true value of an encounter Is in the voice behind the encounter Is in the voice behind the encounter acts 22 verse 7 it says when the light shone from heaven i fell to the ground says and i heard a voice it was not the light that changed him it was not falling to the ground that changed him it was hearing the voice then in verse 10 he said those who were with me he said they saw the lights and they feared they were afraid they trembled he said but they had not the voice he heard the voice he understood the voice it's like people saying you know i was in the meeting guy people were falling down everywhere they saw the light but they didn't hear the voice the value of an encounter is in the voice behind the encounter that's why you must come with your notes ready because god is going to speak to you he's going to show you the future are you hearing what i'm saying here you must be ready to receive ezekiel chapter 1 verse 27 the last portion of that that verse you he says i fell on my face and i heard i heard you will see the emphasis on not just the falling in revelation chapter 1 when john fell he said i fell down at his feet as dead and i heard it's the hearing that changes thank you holy spirit is anybody hungry here today is anybody hungry here today it's not labor that changes us it's encounter encounters then we labor with the encounter we don't change by labor we change by encounters and then we labor with the encounters lift your hands towards heaven wherever you are and pray in the holy spirit thank you gentlemen pray in the holy spirit wherever you are and you pray like a hungry person remember the scripture the rich has he sent away empty-handed but the poor as if you do good things i don't know if there's any hungry person in the house today i don't know some of you can change your life some of you can rewrite your stories some of you can improve your lots but for some of us we know we need god we know we need god we know we need god we know we need god for the next two minutes i want you to eliminate all distraction take a posture of desperation take a posture of desperation and pray in the holy ghost father i believe i believe your word i believe in your visitations oh yes i believe in your visitations now can we pray out louder please please with some desperation there's no quiet labor room this is a labor room this is a labor room this is a labor room lord i believe there is more i believe there's more i set my face for my encounters yes oh the lord is doing a work in your heart filling you with hunger filling you with hunger filling you with hunger filling you with hunger Hallelujah. Glory to God. Can you get your Bibles? I know it's going to be on the screen, but I want you to see it in your Bible. I want you to see this in your Bible. Psalm 65 and verse 9. It says, Thou visitest the earth and watered it. The Lord is visiting to water your life. I said the Spirit of the Lord is visiting to water your life. Every seed of revelation and prophecy that has been buried deep in the soil of your heart and your life. Some for 10 years, some for 7 years. You are carrying on your head prophecies. You know you heard God. You know you saw God. You were in the meeting. But it looks as though those things will not happen. Hear me and hear me well. The Lord is visiting your life. He's watering your life. And those seeds are springing up. Look at what it says. It says, Thou visitest the earth, waterest it. Thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God. My God. Which is full of water. Let me read you the same portion of the Bible in the Persian translation. Your visitations of glory bless the earth. The river, visitations of glory. Who is going to have visitations of glory? He says your visitations of glory. Look at what he says. He says it blesses the earth. The rivers of God overflow and they enrich it. Look at it. You paint the wheat fields golden as you provide rich harvests. Every field is watered with the abundance of rain. Shower soaking the earth and softening its cloths. Cursing seeds to sprout throughout the land. This is somebody's word. Oh, this is somebody's word. Can I have the previous verse? Verse 9. Everybody look at this. Now let me read you your story. Let me read you your story. Remember the scriptures are prophetic. I don't need to say thus saith the Lord with the scriptures. Because the scriptures is thus saith the Lord. But to help you and to help your faith. Thus saith the Lord. His visitations of glory will bless your life. This rain conference will be visitations of glory. Bringing the blessings of God. The rivers. Do you see that? The rivers. The rivers of God. They overflow and enrich your life. He's painting your life like a wheat field. Golden. He's providing you rich harvest. Look at verse 10. Every field. Every man. Every woman. Every boy. Every attendee. Every girl. Weather online. Weather on site. Is watered with the abundance of rain. Shower soaking the earth. Soften its cloths. Everything that has been hard is becoming soft. It's becoming easy. Say it. The spirit of the Lord. Coursing seeds. The seed may have been planted in 1994. You may have heard the word in 2001. You may have received the prophets in 2007. You may have heard the word in your closet in 2010. Wherever the seeds are. The bible says every seed will sprout throughout your life. This is your story. You know how we receive these things? By the Holy Ghost. We receive by the Holy Ghost. You must learn spiritual actions. You bust out in other tongues. You dance in the Spirit. You jump in the Spirit. You receive the Word with faith. Thank you, Holy Ghost. thank you holy ghost thank you holy ghost it's done said the lord It's done, say it, the Lord. Hallelujah. Shout it, this is my rain conference. Why do I tell you to say it? Why do I tell you to shout it? Because the kingdom of God is voice activated. Everything in the kingdom is voice activated. Come on. With some faith, with some joy, with some revelation, shout it, "This is my rain conference." This is my rain conference.
