You'll get a card revealed to you. Trick-or-treat. Yeah. Trick-or-treat. That little last sentence was a little bit of a trick, wasn't it? A little bit of a trick. It's all good. Trick-or-treat. that's it i think i think i got it you want to double check i think i got it i'm kind of looking through it what you get that's the fun part once you make your pip you flip the card no tricks just a little halloween treat for being a part of the fandom rewards club just a reminder this four leaderboard segment is brought to us by ford a hard day's work starts with one thing someone willing to do it and where there's a will there's a ford f-series truck should we take a look at the ford leaderboard let's take a look at the ford leaderboard because right now over the last four weeks four weeks ago taylor when you dropped the little tokens in there if a thousand dollar winner any winner in there let's just say it was a thousand dollars yeah if that winner is sitting there like i'm tailoring willie c for the next four weeks that a thousand dollar reward is almost 30 grand because i'm about i'm up about 30 units over the last four weeks god just fyi yeah it's nice go ahead ryan you can clap for that you can clap that's fine that's fine it's allowed phenomenal what are the totals yeah what are the totals because i see a lot of numbers 18 units over the weekend that's amazing so you're in striking distance of josh pate i am not doing well but you've had a tough two weeks i've had a tough two weeks you've lost 22 over the last yeah and and i i there's no one to blame but me i sat here i could have had five extra units if i would I just took in Michigan with the points last week. Ego takes place. You guys start wearing on me. Peer pressure all of a sudden. I take that. And the most sickening part of it all is we should have won that game. Missed two field goals. We talked. It's not even worth talking about. I'm not doing this. I'm not doing this, but I will say it's not the player's fault. It's not the defense's fault. It's not the head coach's fault. It's not the D.C.'s fault. It could be the kicker's fault a little bit. yeah yeah that's it it's not the fan's fault it's not the fan's fault it's not the head coach's fault it's all good somebody with the headset on yeah someone with the headset on is really trying to they're trying to fuck my season right now and i don't like trying they listen trying i was where you were on monday and i sat on the bus and i talked about how playoffs are probably out of the question at this point you run the schedule most likely you run the schedule joshua you got to play ucla who's a top 10 team right now probably will be top five by the time we get there if they don't if they don't lay an egg and then ohio state which you don't have making the cultural playoff but as it stands right now they're a top five team i got more on that but finish your thought okay well that's the end of it you win those games and you beat an oregon team with a - And your thoughts over, your thoughts over. - My thoughts over. - Your thoughts done. - You all started cooking again. - I know, and it's just, it's disgusting. But all that to be said. - Big game against Rutgers. - Swing and a big stick this week. A lot of people, they would shy away. They would go in the shadows after two weeks of this. No, sir, no, sir. I feel more confident than ever about this week it's time to flip it around. So if you're ready to jump back on board. - Well also, I mean, contractually, you're obligated to be here every week. Yeah, but I could sit back. I could say, oh, I'm going to do a one on this one. I'm going to do a two on this one. But three is the new one. Three is the new one. Four is the new one. Oh, wow. Yeah. Oh, wow. Four is the new one. We're swinging a big stick this week. Shouldn't we all just be copying him? That's twice as good a week, almost mathematically twice as good a week as anyone else has had all year. Yeah. How did he do it? How did you do it? I saw the board clearly. Okay. Yeah. Will's got access to a unique catapult or something taking place right now. Will, do you have a model? I got an itty bitty model somewhere. I was tapping in on it. Yeah. It's a little bit bigger than Josh's. Yeah. The last few weeks. Right. Size doesn't necessarily matter. When I slot the table for LSU, I gave that pick. I gave that pick to our boy, Darius Rucker. My first pick ever given to Darius Rucker because he's wanted picks since he's been on the bus. I've never felt confident giving him a pick. You see that? That name you just dropped on the ground right there? You want to put that up? There you go. Darius Rucker. Stud. Legend. Legend. - And last week we were at Bustin' and Payin' on campus and he sent a photo like, "Where you guys at?" He was at the equestrian, I don't know if it was the national title, but he was at the equestrian thing. event and because he couldn't make it to Boston and paint and I was like I laughed and I just put hammer LSU to cover because I saw that one as clear as day that was my five unit boy last week Darius Rucker reaches out to you asking where you are your response is laughter fall by take this pick I didn't know what to tell that is the most will confident and you've never given him a bet what a weekend Darius Rucker must have had he had a five unit bet and he watched the South Carolina Gamecocks win in Cocteau take care of business I listened to the Monday from Jack McPherson yeah well no he's busy yeah but you listen to the Monday I listen to the Monday show because I like I was are for adults of legal age every customer's age verified this product contains nicotine nicotine is an addictive chemical let's get back to the episode and it's Wednesday but I think the separation there is JP's life right truly I know it's on the Mount Rushmore weekends of all time but arguably maybe outside of what marriage truly your greatest weekend of our day of all time on camera on record you put marriage in there but off camera yeah I think we could all say yeah yeah it's smashing that's just a fact right smashing the pumpkin on Justin and pay like Friday the juice you had Friday the show up or the show out from all the fans from the school you the journalism school people getting the interviews like you're just embedded and then after the game you storm the field you see Shane Beamer in the locker room you're getting introduced to all the players you're having moments with all the players you're facetiming Josh Pate you call to tell a story and your voice you can just tell it's shot and it's gone and you're laying your head on the pillow on Saturday night and it's like how do you beat the last 48 hours for JP hubby the one thing that you did not mention in that that makes this even better of a weekend is that Josh Pate took a young boy and turned him into a Gamecock fan for life JP yeah JP what is that I did nothing JP both have J's and P's I was thinking about my units and how they're down I I was here and then I wasn't here but I'm back to being here JP Harvey yeah getting a young six-year-old for the rest of his life will be a fan I just think it's never been more important than ever that people understand the context when they're watching this show some people may tune in at specific times and hear some out of context clips and you're talking about kids and cocktober and all this sort of stuff yeah but it's accurate yeah the look on your face you've seen it well you know your face but there were several times where Savannah would elbow me and say look at JP and I would look over there and it would just be a second and three nothing big would happen and you were just get it all in man busting paid on campus at Wake Forest this Friday a lot to live up to a lot to live up to you ever been there I have not have you ever been there I haven't either I've heard it's a beautiful campus yeah that's what Tom told us yeah that's all I've heard about that's our scouting report so far yeah he's talked about how pretty of a place that is it's beautiful yeah I'm sure the foliage this year got with the leaves it's got to be incredible yeah because what state is that in North Carolina I think it is yeah that's what I was gonna say I don't even know it was in North Carolina I knew it was the east part of the country but like Wake Forest I don't know wait are you just saying that or do you know that North Carolina is the best foliage state in the U.S I know look it up North Carolina has the best foliage state in the U.S because I've looked at this foliage what I've looked at what parts of the of America have the longest foliage because I enjoy it the most yeah so potentially live one day Vermont Minnesota Colorado Michigan Virginia so exactly what you said so you looked it up I thought I did clearly you didn't know the top five maybe I had maybe Vermont though we were on it with Vermont that's not the main event here the main event is how frequently have you just been saying stuff I don't know which U.S state is the best football staff he just said he said well you know North Carolina is the number one foliage state in the country and he was going to continue with the Senate right and if we didn't have somebody just Google that now we all would have walked away and be like damn I don't know if it's not even top five listen you can't I could have swore you can't pull over a Reddit page where it just says East Tennessee and Carolina are also nice as well put them as number one what's that what would you would you Google Spokane Mountains nice top foliage states in the U.S type in who's got the longest foliage season well that's a different conversation well I said longest foliage season New York New York all right okay I'm talking out of my ass right now for all the people doing this I just I just pray we use their Friday it can look stunning and that's all you need all you need is one little totally green over there no nothing is even good these are already gone the shortest foliage stage of all time damn it I I don't know boys I don't know what I was looking up hey leave you not that fan base is a lot to live up to they're doing October like ever since Virginia Tech it's been a great fan base great showing every single week like the Demon Deacons they better figure it out in a hurry it's their weak demons yeah Halloween yes spooky spooky uh spooktober Friday you just have a little playoff softball game don't you championship or just playoffs playoff and championship it's one night deal how are you running right now how are you how are you hitting them I'm gonna find out later today oh you haven't hit at all I haven't hit since the beginning of the year no way yeah so you're just you've been on the bench well I've been with you I've been with you guys yeah how does it make you feel that people are taking away from your dreams and aspirations I did that to myself I have a question you just been on ice all regular season and it's time to activate I'm on the way I'm on the roster but I'm saying you haven't played in the regular season I played opening night opening night on the show I'm bookending it yeah you've been at HS all year yep got you playoff pay up we're gonna see and there's one you have one playoff game then possibly a championship I think it's three we may play a max of three in one night yeah people have done harder though I read the stuff about World War II and what people went through yeah so I'll be okay it's comparable how'd that go Saturday championship yeah they won it took care of it and then what happened afterwards I'm concerned with afterwards and before than the game itself like afterwards parking lot situations adults embarrassing themselves anything like that uh Clay he's like hey are you staying for the for the ceremony I was like buddy I'm here as long as you want me he's like I got I I got I got something for him he runs runs over to his car hard tried he's like just stay stay longer now I'm thinking to myself I didn't plan on leaving right now after you just told him I'm here yeah yeah yeah he's here he gets these two massive boxes he's like trotting back and he bought trophies for all the kids they were fired up yeah they were fired up like nice trophies custom custom that would be a question of mine is like what happens if they didn't win the championship he said he did that last year he got second place trophies and they were gonna put over like a first place thing if they won but it's like not gonna change myself last year for this year I got the first place so he went out and bought um participation trophies before the game even took place last year last year last year he got second place and then he got the plaques but first place on so the second place ones were ready oh how big were these guys yeah - Unit size. - Good trophies. First graders hanging that thing up on the shelf? - Absolutely. That was like the greatest thing in the world. You have your little desk in your room with like five or six trophies on it. And you just think, I might be the man. - That's my life. - Yeah. - That's my life right there on the nightstand. - I am a champion. - And you sit there and look up and he's got one of them tall, like sitting on a pole with camera that can just rotate around so that way he can study film. - No, he doesn't. - Yeah. And for people tuned in that tune into this show and not the NFL locker room, a lot of this clays on the NFL locker room. And every week we talk about his flag football team. And they were in the championship last week against a heated rival. A heated rival. - You know every flag. - Yeah. - Don't you think every flag football league out there probably has at least one of those types? Someone who is taking thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars and invested it in equipment. And then they go home and watch. Is it 11 on 11? What is flag? - I think it's seven on seven. - They watch all 14 footage? - Yeah. - They go seven on seven. They get five downs. You get five downs across midfield. You get five downs across midfield and five downs to score. - Why do they get five downs? - Your kids are first graders. - We get, okay, so we're just gonna teach a different game and then they're here to a certain age. But by the way, you have one less down now? - You know, everybody's got kind of like their rules. They have three flags on. You know what I mean? - Side to side back? - Yeah, yeah. - Okay. That makes sense. - It does. - Yeah, but how we grew up and played ball, you had two flags. - We didn't play flag football. All right. - Oh, I played flag football. - Oh, shit. - First grade, Compton right, Compton left. - That was it? - My dad, I had a- - Compton right, Compton left? - I had a bandana on. All right, yeah, I had a bandana on. - Red, blue, what? - It was Navy 'cause we were the Colts. So our jersey was white. I was number 10, blue lettering. - Navy blue bandana. - Yeah. - Quarterback. - Compton left, come on. - And that was it. How many times did you throw it that season? - Not any. I mean, just Willie boy. Get out there and run. - Get out there and go. - Get out there and score touchdowns. - The other kids showed up the whole year? - Yeah, oh yeah. - Wow. - And this wasn't, like these are other, usually in a situation like that, like your dad is the head coach. My old man was just on the sideline. - You were the head coach. - I was the, I was the, I was the workhorse. I was the workhorse for a lot of other dads out there. They're like, we gotta have this kid run the ball every time. - You were the Jaden Ball of your squad. So you give him the ball, we're gonna win and lose on his back. That's what it is. - I was Cam Newton. - Okay, but didn't throw the ball once. - Jaden Ball ain't taking snaps. - You and I had vastly different Pop Warner experiences. Everyone's like, Compton, he's gotta get it done. Make sure he runs it, put him on both sides. I was eight years old playing corner. - Put him out there on the perimeter. - I was the fastest kid on my team. And I would sit there and have the worst ADD where I'd be the kid like picking grass. And the kid would break one far away and my dad would go, "Taylor, get him." And I would just run, get him at the one yard line and they score the next play. Shout out to Shockers, by the way. Shout out Scottsdale Shockers. - Yeah. - Then I quit 'cause I was afraid of getting hit. - Dang. - I know. - So nothing ever became of your football career. What'd you end up doing? - After that? - Yeah. - Well, I'm here with you. - You just got in media. - I got in the media immediately. - Yeah, you quit Pop Warner, you got in media. - I graduated high school, did construction for six years. Stumbled upon U2 and my life took off. That's basically all that happened. - You ever gone to North Carolina and seen the foliage over there? - No. - It is insane. - I heard it's number one. Speaking of, should we get in the games? Should we talk some ball for a little bit? - I'm thinking of my old man real quick. - Pawpaw or is this your dad? - My dad. - Where is dad? - Have you met? - So where we lived. - One of one. - Yeah. - One of one. - So where we lived. - I've alluded to it in the past on shows. Remember how we had to get our yard dug up 'cause we had lead in our yard? But across the street. Across the street. - I'm gonna maintain, go. - Across the street and over the creek, we had a chat dump in our town. Like this chat dump, you can Google it, look it up. Like huge chat dump. - Chat dump? - Chat dump. - What's chat? - Chat. - Like chat? Like OG? Like this is where people would go to talk and they just dump. Like gravel and sand and like chat. - This is like Missouri nomenclature. We don't know what that means. - Can you look up chat? - I have no idea what this is. - What is chat? - It's chat, guys. - Made of course, what is that? - Chirt, dolomite, limestone and sulfide rocks. - Okay. - Often laced with heavy, with toxic heavy metals like lead, zinc, cadmium. My dad in second grade would take me over to the chat dumps. And I'd have to run sprints. I'd have to climb the chat dump. - Do you know how big an insurance liability you have become over the past minute? - Dude, you are every bit of a nineties kid. You are every bit. - Next season, there was one game I went six. - Went for six. - Touchdown, son. - Laugh all they want. - That lead fueled you. - We're watching Rocky IV. - You were radioactive. - And running chat dumps. - Jesus, getting weaned on Elmer's glue, running into the chat dome. - Oh my God, yo. The fact of the story to start with, we had lead in our yard, so we had to let that out. - They had to dig it out. They had to dig it out 'cause of the lead. - Because there was a chat dome on the other side. It's like, no shit, there was lead everywhere. How you digging that up? It's just gonna come back over with a strong breeze. - Yeah, I have no clue. I just look out the window and see that everything was dirt in the yard. Mom, what's happening? We have lead in the yard. - Don't worry about it. You have a glass of tap water. - Dude, everything is making so much sense as well. - Yeah. - You got that, hey, that little tumor. You weren't born with that tumor in the back of your head. - I mean, I didn't know that that was the definition of a chat dome with all that stuff in it. I'm born in that too, so. - We've shown a lot of things in the show that you didn't know about. - 11 GPA grading, yeah. - Yeah, I mean. - Did you see this breaking news from NBC? - Talked to some people in an ex-mining town. - And it was beloved, like, that's the chat that we had. Somebody coming in town and visiting you, you're like, there's the chat dome. - Dude. - What's that, maybe we can go climb it. - Just a bunch of people from Missouri, like, tying themselves to the part of the chat dome. Just hand in hand, like, we're not letting you take this away from us. We need it. - Don't tread on this chat dome. - This is the chat dome, exactly. Okay. - That's where Fourth of July would take place. All the people, they'd spend all the money, they'd get on top of the chat dome, just rip 'em off so you can see 'em from everywhere. - Spend the money. - Yeah, like, 10,000 plus. - On fireworks. - Oh, I thought you meant they were charging, like someone just basically set up a perimeter around the chat dome. - I'm thinking a little park. - You wanna come in here? 20? - That's their version of an amusement park. All right, Virginia at Wake Forest. - What a Google search history this morning so far. - Virginia at Wake Forest. Wake is favored by 12 and a half points. Total in that game is 49 and a half. This game takes place in the number one foliage spot in all of America, North Carolina. Will, you've been on fire. Take that lead, Brandon, take us on a journey, buddy. Where we going? - Right now, I can't think, 'cause I wanna say your phone's vibrating a lot right now. - Is it? - Yeah. - Where's it at? Oh, I'm getting a call. Nope. - Onward. - That, the vibration. Didn't handle that. - That and that alone. - From what we just went through. - Yeah, yeah, no, no, like, it all makes all sense. - Clearly something can throw me off. - Clearly when a cell, there's a cell thing and your brain's like, Gio Lopez. - Is a dog. - 1900 yards. - Dog. - 67% completions. - Dog. - 23 total touchdowns. - Dog. - Explosive offense. - And even when you say 67% completion percentage, that's also against the Blitz. That's also against man coverage. Like this dude can shred it up. A lot of times you'll see 70% against zone and they drop in the 50 percentile against like Blitz when you pressure this young man, not Gio Lopez. He's a dog. Wake Forest is hot right now. They are, in my opinion, they are the team that has to be in the ACC championship. They have to be in the ACC championship against Miami. They can be 11 and one going into that game, right? It would be 11 and one. They're not strong on the offensive line. And that is what is keeping me from going Wake Forest minus 12 and a half. Gio Lopez has shown that he'll still get the ball out quick. Who's the young man? - Hernandez. - Hernandez. They like to mix it up. They love mesh in third medium. They like putting this Hernandez kid in the three slot at speed and working him on the sticks and on the chains. But there's this, man, what is his name? Matthew Fouts. Do you know what I'm talking about right now? - Close. - Fouts White. - Fouts White. - Fouts White. - Fouts White has the most pressures or he's top five in pressures across the country. He gets after the quarterback. You turn on his tape, he can get after people. You know I'm big when it comes to pass rush. For this line right here, I'm going to say this. I'm going to say this. I believe I'm going to go Virginia plus 12 and a half. And I'm only going to go two units on. My confidence levels are two. Wake Forest to me is going to win the game. But if they, if Virginia is strong anywhere that Wake Forest is weak, it is the pass rush. It's just getting home and getting Gio Lopez to the ground before he gets the ball out. 'Cause he can scramble, he can do all the things. But I'm going to go Virginia plus 12 and a half. Their offense has stalled over the last few weeks. But yeah, I like this band. Within 12 and a half. So I'm going to go confidence level two. Confidence level two. - All the things you said about Wake Forest is cool. I mean, they're an explosive offense. throw the ball downfield, and they utilize their run game in a lot of just throwing it out to the perimeter to Hernandez because he's a big yards after catch type of guy. Offensive line is not phenomenal in pass throw, but they are much better as far as road grading. I mean, they don't have a key running back that can get it done for them. They're more of a running back by committee, and then having Lopez also run the ball. Virginia wants to play strong defense, and they want to control the ball on offense, time of possession on offense. Take care of the football, run it. Bo Pribula, the Missouri transfer, he was also at Penn State two years ago, right? He hasn't thrown for over 200 yards in the last four games that he's played. The way Wake Forest plays, they haven't scored less than 30 all season long. They are going to get points in this game. They are going to press the tempo, and I think they have a way of getting up. And when that happens, it's going to take Virginia out of their comfort zone where I can see Pribula making a few mistakes. I actually really like Wake Forest, minus 12.5 here. They're a team that I think also understands that if there is, everyone knows it's Miami, and then it's everybody else. I think we're starting to see Wake Forest get hot at the right times and take care of business. They're a dogfight against Louisville, which they win with a field goal at the end of the game. But since then, they've handled everybody they're supposed to handle by a large margin. So I like Wake Forest here, minus 12.5. Big stick swing, four. Four. Four on that one. ACC. Some ACC chaos. No doubt. No doubt. But. Wake Forest, are they actually good, or are they ACC good? We will find out. But I kind of love Gio Lopez. Yeah, he's a beast. And the whole offense runs through him. Because their backs don't have incredible numbers, but they're still rushing 4.5 yards per carry when they are running the football. They want to throw, but they get these safeties to come down with the perimeter, and that's when you see Hernandez deep. Josh Pate. I agree with everything about your breakdown. I thought you were going under. You laid out the case for the under. Style of play from Virginia also. The offense is tailed back. You talked about Wake Forest. You talked about strengths and weaknesses there. Like Gio Lopez. So it's been – if you look at some of these guys, you can say this about actually, these guys that have been in multiple spots, now that we're several years into the portal era, it starts being this truth-telling mechanism. Because these guys develop a reputation, but then all of a sudden they end up at a place and they pop. And you're like, well, what does that say about them? What does that say about the previous places they were at? So you've got that. I think that 49 and a half is a number that's a little bit too high here. Several possibilities, again, that you just laid out, so I won't even repeat them, lead me towards the under. So I'll go under 49 and a half for three units. And if I had to pick, I would take Wake to cover. But in like a 26 to 13 or 30 to 13 kind of game. Do you – what's your little baby computer? What's your little baby computer say about this? He likes Wake. It likes Wake. Yeah. Not huge to cover. You kind of like the under, don't you? No, no, no. I feel – I like Wake Forest. Like all the things he said about the under. Love it. Phenomenal. And I do kind of look behind the curtain a little bit, but I'll probably sprinkle that on my own. But big Gio Lopez guy right now. Yep. After watching him. He just got it. And then the pass rush. A lot of those explosive plays come from when the pass rush starts to get to him, he's able to extend it. Because back ends have such a hard time when the scramble drill takes place. So I do. I really like Wake Forest. At home, fan base understands what's at stake here. I think it's going to be a lot of fun to watch. All right, quick potty break just to remind you guys about FanDuel's college football pick-em. See MintMobile.com. Ohio State at U. Yeah. Really? This is Ohio State. Finish the intro. Ohio State at USC. Ohio State minus six and a half. Total in that game is 52 and a half. You did slap before me. Go ahead. That Wisconsin-USC game, absolutely disgusting. Disgusting. Now, Wisconsin, I'm not going to say gets away with a little bit. They earned those interceptions. They earned those short fields. They earned the fact that USC aligned completely abysmal on that fourth and two when they have a diamond set on the perimeter. And USC has two guys on defense out there. Wisconsin obviously scores on that play. USC's not running the ball well. And they're very weak on the right side of their offensive line. To me, this is Ohio State. This is Ohio State. They've had two weeks to prepare to transition with Luke Feige, Sinclair. We don't know who's going to be playing, I guess, the majority of the time. But either way, I just have to believe Arthur Smith is going to have a good game plan going out there. I think Ohio State's going to have a very good day on the ground against this USC defense. Even defensively, they have good guys on the line of scrimmage. But when I watch their linebacker play, I'm not saying that they're soft physically, but they wait for the play to kind of attack them before they hit the line of scrimmage. They're patting their feet at the second level. They're like the opposite of what Georgia's off-ball linebackers are. Right, right. They don't take the fight to the play. They wait for the play to come to them. Yeah. So I like Ohio State a lot here. To cover my six and a half, five units, I'm on it. This is Ohio State. This is. This is. Take it. Just take it. Take it. Darius Rucker, take it. Any concern for you about USC at home as opposed to away? And how much different of a team they seem like? Doesn't matter to me. You think Lincoln Riley's cooked? Either he's cooked. I think it's a combination of him potentially being cooked and him potentially not wanting to be there. He just said this is where I want to be. All coaches say that. I've had the opportunity. Bob Chesney just said this is the greatest place in college football. Hey, come on. No, it's not. We're talking about UCLA. UCLA, good ball club. I respect everything UCLA has done. Right. But the best place for college football. But when you're talking about the God-tier programs, you know. Yeah. Coaches will say what they need to say. Right. And tell. I have a strategy. Let's get back to that in a second. Yeah. I can give a more full disclosure on that now. How would you handle questions about your job and looking around if you were a head coach? I would say what a lot of these coaches are saying. I would make it seem like you can't get, like nobody can reach out to me. I love the spot that I'm at. Everything that my agent tells me to say. Yeah. It's all defaulting on. We're focused on this team right here. Yeah. I'm not worried about exterior noise in January, February. I'm focused on this week. Can I show you what my strategy would be? Yeah. I'm actually serious about this. Okay. I want both of you to be reporters. I want you to ask me a question about whether I'm leaving here and then I want you to follow it up after I give my answer. Go ahead. Okay. Josh, there's been a lot of speculation on teams coming back. to possibly poach you based on the success you've had this early in your career in P4? What do you have to say to your fan base and how much you've done for this school, yet other possibly bigger schools wanting you to come there? I appreciate the question. I know you have to do your job, but I'm actually not going to answer anything associated with that. I want to ask my follow-up, but based on what you just said, my instinct says you're just going to give me the same bullshit. But that's not journalism. He's talking about the success you had early in your career. You're not playing very well right now. There's a lot of pressure on you to not be here. Do you think about your job security as you head into this game against Ohio State? So you just did two different teams? Yeah, yeah. So I want you to ask me specifically about rumors. Hey, Josh, I'll be a different reporter. Okay, go ahead. Hi, Josh. There are just so many teams that are clamoring and wanting you. How do you feel about you and wearing the UCLA uniform? Okay, we'll move on. We'll move on. That's how you do it. Tell them one time you're not going to answer questions about it, and then just stare blankly at them and make it so uncomfortable that they move on. Why wouldn't you do that? There's no possible way to answer the question the right way. Yeah. If words come out of your mouth, they're going to use it against you. I'm thinking myself. Because you're going to have to say that. You're going to have to say what Chesney's saying right now, or what Lincoln Riley's saying, or what Saban said all the way back in the day at the Dolphins, and then it's a sound bite used against you for 25 years. Yeah. You can't lie, and you can't tell the truth, so just don't say anything. So you think there's multiple grenades in California right now? All right, let's go back to that. Okay. So a year ago, pulled the pen, threw it, it landed somewhere, and it was about Lincoln Riley. Yeah. All right. I thought last year he was going to take the Baylor job. You sure I'm in here? Yeah. He's around here somewhere. No. I think he's on the phone with Lincoln Riley right now. Yeah. You heard me tell him off air that day that there's a lot of rumblings that there's Lincoln Riley communication with Baylor. There was noise about Texas Tech, which I thought was insane because they were in the middle of a playoff run, but it was explained to me as, "Trust me, if it goes sideways, blah, blah, blah." And TCU was and is in the mix right now. So it looked like it was going to happen last year. It didn't happen last year. Same stuff's happening right now. So pull the second grenade, but kind of everyone's talking about it now, so I feel more comfortable with it. But the stuff that's bubbling now is the same stuff that was bubbling last year. I don't feel like the general public was aware to the point where after our recording that day, you heard me tell Sherm. I can't remember if it was. Well, one of you heard me tell Sherm and you're like, "Hold on, Lincoln Riley and who?" Because it was so far out of the realm of believability that he would be associated with Baylor or with TCU. Texas Tech didn't even make sense, but this stuff was happening last year. Why is Baylor in the fold? Because if you're just a casual fan watching, and even now, I would value USC's head coaching job way higher than I value Baylor's. Yeah. So he, I don't feel like has many allies out there. I don't know that he's done a ton to endear himself. I think there's a little paranoia about the way the overall athletic structure is built out there. And he's not alone. This actually exists in a few places now where you have AD, but you have GM and you have head coach. And the way that dynamic exists now is pretty new. Some guys are comfortable with it, some aren't. The other thing is there's a lot of value in restarting the clock. If you're a head coach, that's a tale as old as time. If you've got enough equity now, get out, go somewhere else, restart the clock. Also, I think he'd probably have a lot more comfortable quality of life somewhere like a Baylor or a TCU. If Texas Tech was open, that would be the dream scenario. He's from right down the road. Can you name me Lincoln Riley's hometown, by the way? Nelshoe, Texas. Nelshoe, Texas? Nelshoe. Hell yeah. If you're driving from Lubbock to Albuquerque, you have to go through there. That's the only reason I know that, because we just did that in the spring. Beautiful drive. Got pulled over. $25 speeding ticket. $25 speeding ticket. Paid it right there, out the window. Gave him just some cash. That didn't give you points? I don't think so. I don't think a $25 speeding ticket is going to cause you to get points. I don't think so. It's weird. There's a bunch of things. I do think Lincoln Riley's days are numbered at USC. The concern for if I'm a fan of USC is like, okay, Lincoln Riley leaves. Look at the recruiting class he's had. Look at all the freshmen that are playing. You said a couple of weeks ago, the players are more tied to the university than they are possibly the head coach. That's your thought process. I don't know if that's what you're thinking. They didn't commit to him. They're not going to lose that. I'm telling you. I would be shocked if they lost. I'm not going to say a single. I'd be shocked if they lost more than two players who said, "I left because Lincoln Riley left." I just don't think it's an issue. I think they've been very smart with the way that they've gone and acquired talent. Yeah. Was buying into the university. The other thing that you said- And he's also had time to do it. He's had time there. You have a Heisman candidate in Maiava. You've had dogs and you've had the players there to at least perform above what the standard is. But can I say this too? So last week, you watched them. We just talked about their game against Wisconsin. Did they not play like a team that had gotten knocked out of playoff contention the week before? Yeah. Yeah, they weren't. In fact, they're still in the playoff now. They're still in the mix now. Then we go watch South Carolina, who's already got three losses. And technically, there's every reason for them to have mailed it in. They're playing with their hair on fire against Florida. They're playing lights out. I mean, they're over the cliff effort-wise against Tennessee. And they've got really, really low likelihood to make the playoff. USC's got their whole fate in their hands. And they've got to do something. And they get beat by someone who throws for 58 yards total. Right. Death by a thousand yards. By three scores. Yeah. So the whole effort piece, like to get back to the prediction here, that's why I can't believe in USC. The whole world's going to be on Ohio State here. I'd love to paint the path for USC. I'd love to do the road versus home. The Oregon game was at home. They got beat by double digits by a backup quarterback. So I don't have any faith in them. I'll go Ohio State minus six and a half for three units. Hit the table with us. Yeah. I'm not ready to hit the table. Hit the table. You can hit the table if you want, though. I don't want to hit the table. People are talking about hitting the table. I think you should hit the table. I mean, hit the table later. Hit the table later? Yeah. I hit the table last week. It didn't turn out well for me. Yeah. Fair enough. You did brush over Texas Tech if that job was available. Well, that's one where even last year I kept hearing that and I'm saying, why? Like Joey Maguire is not the problem at Texas Tech. No. They have let, show me Joey Maguire with a premier quarterback, not get the job done. Then, then you can talk to me about how, well, Texas Tech's got everything they need to win. We just need a better head coach. First off, who says Lincoln Riley's a better head coach than Joey Maguire? Secondly, at what point has Joey Maguire failed to deliver with all the premier ingredients? Like we all watched the playoff last year. First off, we watched them bust all their way through the Big 12 en route to the playoff. And then you watch the playoff, lights out defensive effort. They can't score. They can't move the ball. They got Barron Morton. They went and tried to get Sorsby. For all we know, they're going to get Sorsby. They're going to get Sorsby. For all we know, they made the proper move quarterback wise, but then the whole off the field stuff happens. So they're right back in the same boat right now. They don't have good enough quarterback play. So you don't think that job is going to be available at all? I think it'd be stupid if it was available. Yeah. I don't run Texas Tech. Yeah. But the guy who kind of does run Texas Tech is putting out tweets. He's mouthed off as soon as they lost a game last week. Which is tough. Well, it's, it makes you, it makes you question if that's what he's saying publicly, what's he trying to accomplish with that? Or is it really just, it doesn't matter that Cody, that Cody Campbell's a billionaire. He still thinks just the way we do as fans and he's just firing it off out of emotion. I think that definitely has something to do with it. Cause when we were in love with just a couple of weeks ago, everybody like, uh, was it buddy at the restaurant? He's just singing, Joey McGuire's praises. Everyone we came into contact with is just talks about how much they love doing why they're obsessed with them. So when I hear about Texas Tech possibly opening up, I'm like, unless they just start shitting down their leg the rest of the season, cause they should have, they should have beat Cincinnati. Like Cincinnati beat them fair and square. There was no issue there, but like there are more talented football. Speaker 2 : But I just can't see Joey McGuire going anywhere. All of that to be said, a lot of it too, though, had to do with just, you were already mentioning it, the quarterback play with him. And a lot of times it's like timing is off. Like he gets into a quick drop back, but the receiver isn't hitting their hits just yet. He should have took a, another like extra half step or half second. He's out of rhythm. He's just not, he's not the most accurate cat. Speaker 1 : The, um, just to get back to this game, because there was the other, uh, California head coach that we should talk about a little bit later, but for the sake of the show, um, I saw the table, I'm going to Ohio state minus six and a half. I, last week I sat there and thought about Fahey, how he looked when he came to the game versus Indiana. He looked startled after two plays. He's breathing heavy. You could tell the stadium pulse was very loud, but then you go back and watch the film. It's like, is from a statistics standpoint, Ohio state has not run the ball well in, in big 10 play, but they do have holes and they are there. And then you watch USC versus Wisconsin. The biggest thing that was so mind blowing to me, other than like receivers, just having balls, hit them in the chest and dropping them is the office aligned for USC on, from a running standpoint, we're getting pushed back. They were losing a lot of scrimmage in a big way, but also in pass pro they were allowing so much pressure where my, my office as good as a quarterback, as he is, he's running for his life. A lot of that times, um, Wisconsin just, they didn't do anything special in offense. Like the score itself would be like, oh, wow. What a blow up. But it's like death by a thousand cuts. The, the, uh, my of, uh, interceptions, like one was horrendous. but off of two interceptions that end up in the fringe area and the red zone you get three points out of that which just tells me that they just wore you down and out physically out physically the game and slowly just pulled away there wasn't anything spectacular about wisconsin one of wisconsin's touchdowns too it was like second 19 usc gets a dpi it's a defensive uh pass interference and uh next thing you know it's like they they score wisconsin scores on the next play yeah you got them in second 19 like in the the mid red zone area you get a defensive pass interference and then you're right there on the goal line they punch it in the score yeah i will say even as i'm riding with y'all maybe not for quite as many units but i'm on ohio state minus six and a half i think a lot of people are going to be on that side because they're remembering the wisconsin game and they're saying man if you if you can't do better than seven points against wisconsin and i've already seen you lose at home to oregon so i don't really fear you playing at home why should i pick you against ohio state you this year's been full of crazy outcomes so there have been multiple times every week where we're going man how'd that happen sure that can happen here the way it would happen is turnovers don't carry over week to week so if they just have a clean turnover game or i mean ohio state's the one starting a new quarterback maybe ohio state turns it over that's the way it could happen they could just have a high competitive character game but i fundamentally doubt that from usc that's why i'm picking against them but if they force an early turnover against ohio state ohio state will go into a shell offensive play call because they're terrified because they know the only way we're going to lose this game is if quarterback turns this ball over yeah so we're going to try and get out of here with a 17 to 10 win or something like that the other thing is if usc just pops them early for a quick score it just injects all the life and confidence in the world into usc and you got to think with a new quarterback here you if you're if you're down 7-0 think about it from the standpoint of ohio state minus six and a half yeah you already know i've got to outscore them by 14 the rest of the way we're going to do it with a new quarterback so that's how quickly that dynamic can shift yeah and i i'm cognizant of all that that's why i'm only going three units but i still feel like 27 to 10 or something like that is in the cards here for ohio state but if they don't get it done then ohio state still got a tough road and if they don't get it done that means usc won how are you supposed to look at usc yeah coming out of this game they're two loss team they just got one of the best wins of the year and they're going to be one of the best in the world and they're going to be one of the best in the world press conference is guys we're not we're not dead yet right like i still make the playoff i can't even be entertaining this right now yeah it's just when the the effort the lack of effort that took place in the trenches and some of these receivers like they have so many young guys on their offense that it seemed like a rookie hitting a rookie wall in the nfl yeah to where you get to the back half of the season and it's starting to wear on them but we're we're in october like a lot of these guys were playing the playoffs last year so that doesn't make a whole lot of sense coming off a buy well yeah so i think for ohio state it's run the ball effectively and just don't get away from the run when it doesn't work out early because you you brought the best point for usc is like if you can score early if you can get 10 points in the first 20 minutes of the game you're going to cause ohio state to hit a panic mode where they have to use whichever quarterback they have jeremiah smith as talented as he is and the whole thing around julian saying was well he's got four out there he's just gonna throw it out well julian saying like has been very accurate with the football you can't just put anybody in that position just like oh four is that he's gonna make it happen because he could there you have a possibility but if you're not as accurate as julian has been like he's he's given uh jeremiah smith opportunities to make those alien-like catches and so these quarterbacks come in they might throw it a little too high or a little too much to the left or right where it's a little more off target where indiana not saying usc's defenses indiana's defense but they kind of showed like this is how you take that cat away so you're going to need a chris henry or a mckeown yeah one of those guys to help you out a little bit and it doesn't have to be shots down the field it's a slant it's a little out to the perimeter allow them to get the yak because they are more talented of a football team and then it's running their outside zone the way they have and then switching up into inside and duo, getting him running east and west and then hitting him north and south. I do love Ohio State in this position. I can't wait to see how this game unfolds because it's going to change I think a lot of our opinions. Because if they go out and they just assume like the old Ohio State, your talk about them being out of the cultural playoff, me being extremely Michigan biased on Buston and Pate last week, that all kind of goes out the window. I think Josh has got Ohio State back in the fight. So when I watched USC, I update my playoff predictions every week now. I stick with my preseason, but I update them for fun week over week. So, like last week, I was slightly leaning Ohio State out of the playoff. But then when I watch USC do what they didn't do against Wisconsin, also knowing Dante Moore is out for the year, so they're not going to have to face Dante Moore, it just ups the percentage chances, I think, that they only lose two games instead of three. So, like right now, I'm slightly leaning them in the playoff. I'll be interested to see. So, three units, five units, five units. Yes, sir. All of us, Ohio State, minus six and a half. Now, it's fine that we went a little long window on that game because this one we got coming up is absolutely disgusting. Wisconsin and Iowa. Iowa favored minus three and a half. The over-under on this game is 36 and a half points. Josh, we can start with you. How do you make this one exciting? Well, I don't. You don't? I do not. Do we know what network this is on? Jesse, you know what network this is on? Is it CBS? Is it three? What time? No, it can't be CBS. It's an 11 a.m. kick. Oh, it's Big Noon. This is Big Noon kickoff? This game ends in two hours, 20 minutes. This may be the shortest game of the year. Yes, it does. This is a service academy level run time. Absolutely. Good luck finding time for commercials. I'm going to go Iowa. And I'm going to lay the three and a half. You see the juice on this. Wisconsin's minus 122 at three and a half. That's how much FanDuel is valuing that half point. Because this has Iowa field goal win written all over it. I just think Wisconsin, you could be sky high on them coming off the USC game. I don't know anything that you did against USC that applies to Iowa. You couldn't face any more an antithesis of a team week over week than USC transitioning to Iowa. And Iowa's coming off losing Floyd of Rosedale. And there's something about that pig. When you lose it, you're out for blood the next week. And, of course, what that means here is Iowa's going to win 13-6. But I'm going to take Iowa minus 3.5. and I am not going to slap the table ever in an Iowa game but I will go three units again three units three and three and a half three units yes I liked Wisconsin plus three and a half here then I watched the USC game and to me Wisconsin it's just another version of Iowa they can't they're not very good offensively they take advantage of turnovers which I don't even think they got to take really take advantage of the turnovers I don't even think that they got points off the interceptions um and then my brain just like i will coming off of a loss is wisconsin gonna out iowa iowa in the same spot in iowa in kinnick that answer to me is no so i'm gonna go three units as well for i would have covered minus three and a half yeah i haven't followed kirk ferentz's entire career but for as long as i can remember iowa's game plan has been run the ball efficiently, play field position and have elite defense. This is the first year in recent memory that they've kind of gotten away from that. Like every year they've been bottom of the big 10 in pass attempts per game. Right now they're sitting in the middle at like over 30. They benched Heklinski last week after having one interception. They're bringing Hank Brown and he has two interceptions. So that's telling me if I'm Kirk Ferentz and you've been at a place for 25 years it's like let's just get back to who we were and run the football play the field position game in our special teams and have our defense play elite against a quarterback whose average yards per attempt when he passes the ball is 1.2 yards yeah and so the issue is that i was defense hasn't been as elite as that they've been in the years past oh you could you they have to be elite against this you're right you're right it's like everyone's going to look at the box score we've talks about against usc but wow their offense they must be humming a little bit like they blew out usc it's like that's absolutely not the case and the fact like i kind of like the total here even though it's so low because iowa's running back is out and that's i mean is he out or is it questionable he's done so it's like do we even see 13 points in this game do we even see that but i just something about iowa city fans they're gonna throw they're gonna throw the ball seven and they're going to wear them down and I got Iowa minus three and a half I'll go four units four units in that big stick gotta get back in the race but no one's going to oh Iowa, Iowa Casey's Pizza too Casey's Pizza also it's a delicacy around that place Iowa, Missouri, yeah bro Casey's Pizza is where it's at the thing that's sad is they had two offensive linemen who were probably first round picks and they're just not getting the push killing people with this mid-zone like they have for years and years and years the other thing we ought to do sometime towards the end of the year is like set up more bleacher seating or maybe like clear out the bleachers and just go get twenty Iowa season ticket holders long time Iowa season ticket holders holders mic them up and just ask about their life like what is that like when you're driving to the game your maximum expectation sometimes is i hope we hit 21 points that's like if we open it up and everything goes right we're going to get into the low to mid 20s today but they're they're there every week every week you have to recondition your your world view like you have to view the world through a different lens to be a hardcore iowa season ticket holder because like what you turn on the tv and see other teams doing that's not in the cards for you that you're not trying to you're never going to go down that road what must that be like i think it's more you're buying the season ticket you're just wanting to get the boys together to talk about hey let's look at these eight or nine wins we might get this year but let's talk about the wrestling team let's talk about that makes sense you're bundled up you know what i mean because it's gonna get cold windy in iowa not a whole lot going on by the way shout out uh for the dads dan gable sent in a video shout out for the dad so maybe that's the tell too like this is iowa all the way oh yeah if you could slap the table twice you would yeah yeah yeah you push me up to four units it's a dan gable play it's a dan gable play this will be this will be the most boring game of the year and that's coming off of indiana and michigan like this is it's gonna be disgusting clap in the boys though i'm sure it's gonna be a lot of fun yeah you're gonna make your flight you will make your flight yep you can probably bump it up that game is 56 and a half willie this is a great one right here fellas love dampier this mismatch on the board is the rushing attack versus cincinnati's rush defense yep they can run the ball all over them cincinnati a lot of offense versus texas tech i don't trust either of these teams in this spot iowa massive night win against houston big one this is could be a classic letdown utah utah yeah what did i say you said iowa sorry i said jp earlier utah big uh late night win against houston they're right and high they needed that well both teams kind of needed that win kind of a classic emotional letdown spot going to cincinnati cincinnati you could say the same thing massive win against texas tech you're up 30s or you're up whatever the score was you're up big and you're going for two trying to cram it down texas tech's throat they're tagging campbell in the in the graphics after the game this is also a potential letdown spot for cincinnati and utah a couple weeks ago almost dropped one against colorado so i can't as much as i like either team in this spot so i'm going under three units 56 and a half here interesting very interesting i mean utah is the number one scoring i do i know i'm with you what was the score last week 13-6 yeah fair enough versus versus two teams i think houston was two or three in the bay 12 but 38 points per game versus 40 points per game yeah so i don't hate it but i love utah i love utah i love uh dan p uh dan pierre was it way sean parker him his running buddy the creativity on offense cincinnati gives up so many yards their defense all their defense did they took advantage of some bad plays by hammond but they allowed the explosives from 20 to 20 and then just then gave texas tech enough time to have self-inflicted wounds and that's how they stayed in this game utah's rush defense versus cincinnati and cole tab like i think he's got 9.5 yards per carry right now like he can run the out of the football but that's strength on strength and i tend to lean on utah because they've done it for so many years dan pierre's one of the most difficult guys in the country to take down he makes something out of nothing and he just doesn't make those types of mistakes he hasn't been as bulletproof as he was last year but i kind of love the idea of utah just running away playing in the bay 12 championship probably winning the bay 12 at this point like they are a extremely fun team to watch and i think the letdown spot for cincinnati is much greater than it is for utah so i love utah minus six and a half here and i'll go four units four units four if i could go five i'd go five on that because i do love me some dampier it's crazy how you have self-imposed rules i didn't make these rules you didn't make the rule that you can't go five units i did go five units i didn't make the rule you can only do it once you know me josh oh yeah like we do the show i show up on friday and i'm like what are we doing i'm laying on the couch with you well yeah we'll fall i'm just gonna tell me what to do uh this reeks of tennessee south carolina to me of coming off a big dramatic home win and going on the road against the team that was left for dead early but has shown some life lately and now that team is a six and a half point dog at home so i'm going to pivot i'm going to pivot i'm going to pivot for the second week in a row i'm going to go five units against utah cincinnati plus six and a half reasonable shot at the outright upset here but i'm not going money line i'll tell you what cincinnati's offensive line might be the best in the country they might be the best in the country but you ignored it i did i did talk about let down spots it's like hey hey late late body clock game and now going on the road across a time zone earlier body clock game since he's just hanging out at home six and a half points huh okay we'll take him may not need him but we'll take him also and i can't prove this i think conor wegman may have been hurt a little bit in that game last week he looked a little worse for the wear he did have that long run and he kind of felt it it was kind of like he was kind of like he was kind of out of control he kind of slow to get up and it's like you kind of watch that play you're like i don't think you like did nothing happen on that play now am i writing off utah's win entirely a little bit it feels that way yeah it definitely feels that way i'm gonna beat it if you can't beat him join him type of character because i was high on wagman i loved houston in this game yeah i did too in all seriousness i just needed to see utah play a high level team and they did so they were really impressive like i'm joking around but seriously they're good so sometimes i use the concept of being able to see through a team like some of them are just really hollow and they're kind of built by a weak resume i wasn't saying utah was that but i needed to make sure they weren't that going into last week's game so they're not like they're legit i just think this is a really tough spot for any team to be playing in so i think and the entire season has shown you those tough spots literally every week yeah since we could be beating texas tech though we could get a slap off going if you go ohio state down to four units and go this on five and then we just get a showdown yeah we could get a showdown but last time i took your guys's advice i took michigan plus seven and a half yes josh you took michigan money line i took them plus seven and a half the show was ending and i said i'll take them yeah that's what what I want to talk to you about. Twice on the show today, you have talked about us pressuring you into doing that. Yeah, I know. But if you go back to the tape, we had moved on. We were four games separate. I know. And you just kind of randomly said, you know what, by the way, I got to insert here. I'm going Michigan money line. Yeah. And we both looked at each other like, where did that come from? Right. That wasn't pressure. Yeah. I think you just watched your own playbook unfold on this show right now where I made a mistake. However, I'm not taking any accountability for the mistake and I'm choosing to blame it on you. That's my playbook. That's my playbook. You're never wrong. It's the players and coaches that make you wrong. It's the kids that screw up. And who's going to blame them? No. They're 18 to 35 college kids. You can't mess with it. You know, it's a crazy world. Yeah. Like mistakes are going to happen. So blame yourself. By the way, if Cincinnati wins this, Scott Satterfield's name is going to be all over the job market. It already is behind. It's going to be all over the job market. Next head coach for UCLA. That implies that the current head coach at UCLA is going somewhere. Do you have some information? I knew what I did. That's the best job in the country. UCLA football is the best job in the country. Is there some fodder out there on Bob Chesney not being at UCLA next year? Listen, guys, all I'll say is this. Just keep your eye on Bob. There's no way. There's no way you created Bob Chesney. There's no way you just did that. Through a grenade? How many of my playbooks are you going to use today? Enough because they're working. I'm rolling with Cincinnati because of offensive line. You don't even look at it. And now you drop grenades and you throw Michigan's players under the bus. Who did I throw? Michigan's players? No. I said it was. I started the show by saying it wasn't the player's fault. It wasn't the head coach's fault. Whose fault is it? I'm telling you whose fault it's not. That's a what a veteran move. Right. I'm not answering any more questions. When it comes to Michigan. Gravely. Hey, Gravely. Our lawnmower Gravely game of the week here. Florida at Georgia. Georgia favored by 11 and a half. Now it opened, I want to say, at 10 and a half. The over under the total on this game is 55 and a half. I'd love to see where SEC paid is going with this one. What's your computer saying? You want to see where I'm going on the Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic? You're interested in what I think about the Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic? You want to see where I think about the Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic? Yeah. What a name, by the way. Top tier name. That's someone in touch with college football. They should keep it forever. Yeah. That's someone who knows college football. No one should get on the podium after that game and boycott that name. They should embrace it. Definitely not. One hundred percent. What do you like? What do you love? I don't love anything in this. Really? No, I don't love anything. So everything early in the season about Florida's passing. Attack was really predicated off them being able to run the ball. At least if it's going to be Philo, it could be Tramiel Jones that starts for them. That's who played against Texas and won. But regardless of who starts the quarterback, Jaden Ball has to be a weapon for them. They where's that paper popper of a stat? Nothing against Missouri. They ran for thirty nine or whatever it was against Missouri. No, that my games mixed up. They did nothing against Missouri. He had 15 carries for fifty nine against South Carolina. You'll notice both of those are. Losses, blowout losses, Texas held him to three point six yards per carry. So if you could tell me what he's going to do and also if you could tell me how third down is going to go. Here's another little paper popper. Florida is one hundred and twentieth and third down defense. Georgia is seventh and third down offense. Don't love that. But what I do love is Brad White, new defensive coordinator at Florida. He's had some success against Bobo. Then you got Buster Faulkner, who is the new offensive coordinator of Florida, who's had a lot of success going up against Kirby and Glenn Schumann when it comes to spreads. Correct. When it comes to when it comes to performance against expectation. Yeah, like they've been at inferior places. I am very slightly leaned towards Florida, plus eleven and a half. It is one unit. There's no confidence. My fairly sizable model says Georgia minus ten. So it thinks the number is almost right. Both of these teams are coming off a buy going to be a bloodbath. Should be in either Athens or Gainesville, since they have to play this away from Jacksonville for two years. But instead they sold out for millions of dollars. Yeah, couldn't be. So we all couldn't be absolutely sorry. Can't wait to go to Wake Forest voluntarily this Friday. So I'm going to take Florida plus eleven and a half. OK, one unit, one unit, one unit. All right. I'm going to take Georgia. My eleven and a half, four units on this. I really hope you know what you're doing. The last two weeks would say before that says I would absolutely. I'm essentially this entire college football season. I'm up and down. I'm all over. Yes, but I do love Gunnar Stockton in this position by a week after a loss. And then Florida, we brought up Florida's past defense over and over again. I'm busting a paid one to one in the country. Florida, the way they tried to fix their past defense against Texas was bringing pressure and making Arch Manning feel that. And then make mistakes. Gunnar Stockton is very good against eating, but it's being pressured. He's got eleven touchdowns, one interception on that. And we've all we saw the game plan when Auburn played them was they won the turnover turnover battle. They run it, ran it with their quarterback, with their plus one runs and eventually just what the clock had enough to where Georgia made enough mistakes for Auburn to win that game. Florida has to run the ball effectively. They did a great job of that in September. It's been a completely different month for them in October. They've been horrendous at it. And Georgia's rush rush defense is way better than their past defense. We talked with the linebackers earlier. We kind of sprinkled them a little bit, but they're off ball linebackers. They take the fight to the play as opposed to letting the fight come to them. So I see Florida being put in a position to throw the ball, even with Brown coming back and Wilson, their wide receivers being at full health dish. Whoever's playing quarterback mistakes will be made. And I don't think we're going to see very many mistakes from Gunnar Stockton coming off Auburn. Having. Even the mistakes being a big reason why they lost the game and having a bye week. So I like Georgia a lot, minus 11 and a half here. Love them actually. I got, uh, give me Georgia, give me three units. Florida had this surge, like you said, in September. Yeah. They beat Texas. Texas is O-line was abysmal in this game. And you talked about all their, how bad their past defense is, how bad Florida's is and how they started to pressure Arch Manning and a lot of the offensive schematics for them. I think Florida is more of a overrated sec team at this point in the season, I like Georgia a lot here, dude, coming off a bi-week losing to an unranked Auburn team, Georgia Kirby smarts history there nine and oh, after an end season loss game and that at that margin, that average margin is like 21 points. Like the dogs are going to get right in the bi-week. So I like Georgia here. I like Georgia. Again, I'm going to go three units. Um, yeah, unless Florida gets Byron Brown on their team or have a sit or has a six, three, 240 pound quarterback that was gashing, that's gashing Georgia in the run game, because that's what they were able to do against Georgia. They don't have that unless they just put in some, some scheme with Tramiel Jones throughout the bi-week tour. They have this quarterback run game going, but he's like a buck 90. He's not the biggest quarterback. I like Georgia here. I like Georgia. Tell about Tramiel Jones and how he dissects the defense as we were talking about that on Monday. Yeah. You watch all of his, um, attempts, completions, whatever it is, you just watch him. He's not scanning across the field. He's not going through progressions. He's going to his first read. Now I'm sure he can make a little bit of a jump, like, you know, again, having, having that extra time, but he seems like a one read type of cat, a first read guy, and he's going to throw it. He's going to trust whatever he's seeing. He's going to throw it no matter what. I think there's picks to be had out there. For this Georgia defense, uh, they have the talent to match up with Florida's receivers. Um, I think they're going to stop the run with ball and I like Georgia here again, coming off a loss to an unranked team, having a bi-week having to sit on that pissed off, you know, Kirby smarts, ready to rock the country's talking about the more physical football team's going to win. We've seen Kirby smart speeches when it comes to physicality, we've seen the country, the media say, which Florida team's going to show up to me. It doesn't matter which Florida team's going to show up because George is going to take it to him. So Georgia, my first thing you said is all that matters if they, if Florida doesn't run the ball, the rest of the game's done already done. Yeah, absolutely. Cause neither quarterback is, yeah, neither quarterback's played in Auburn again. It's like they had Byron Brown on the ground. Like I want to say that he had nine runs over clipping them over five yards. He had four over 10 yards. He had a scramble for 25 yards. He's a big quarterback that can run the ball. Florida doesn't have that. They don't have it. Late game, you take down the number two team in the country. You're sitting there at home, Frost, he's doing the media run right now. Getting patted on the ass. Baylor, little interim head coach, Serge, going out to UCF. On a short week, Friday night, give me Baylor, Moneyline over UCF. Two things I love. I love betting on backup quarterbacks. I love betting on teams the week after a coach is fired. Theory is, it can't get any worse than it was. That's the whole reason the coach got fired. It can only get better. And the point spread reflects where you've been, not where you potentially could go. So there's always value. So I'm going Baylor plus one and a half. Might as well take the Moneyline. I'm not as brave as you. Take the Moneyline. It's one and a half points. I just want to see 27-26 UCF so badly. I don't want to see it happen. I got Colorado Moneyline versus Kansas State. I have no respect for Kansas State. You don't have any respect for Kansas State. No, I don't. I feel like it's kind of more hate than anything else. It's not hate. I would have to put effort to have hate. Wow. I just don't care for the ball club. Well, not worth the effort. Not worth the effort. That would cause me to raise my heart rate, take action. And I just said that I'm like, we out there. It's Kansas State. Kansas State. I feel like you heard me bring up Kansas State, and then a couple of times you've put your eyes on them, they haven't been that. No. So you're just like, this is Kansas State. But I've heard you talk about Kansas State for not one, but two years. And hey, sneaky team, look at them. And then I had to watch Avery Johnson's family fight across the pond week one last year. Every time they've been brought up in this show, I don't think they've had a positive outcome any time they've been brought up on this show in a positive way or a negative way. Even in real time, we were standing there on Texas Tech sideline, and they had the Kansas State game going. I forget who they were playing. But they were down and not looking good, and you're like, look at Kansas State. It was Houston, was it Houston? No, because Kansas State ended up rolling and winning. And then I'm like trying to find Taylor, and he was nowhere to be found. And I'm like, Kansas State kind of turned it on. But at the time, I was like, oh, Kansas, oh, man, they're kind of letting me down. And you're like, bro, you're in this Kansas State. Was it Baylor up there? It was two weeks ago. I'm just going to keep naming teams. Two weeks ago, was it Kansas? Can I be real with both of you? We're already putting too much effort into Kansas State right now. It's Kansas. I got them on the Romano Express this week. I love Kansas State. Yes, sir! Joshua Bate! Damn. Oh, parlays. I've got to get a parlay this week. What the fuck are the parlays? I've hit the parlay two out of the last three, just FYI. That's the whole blueprint. Yeah, the blueprint is hit your parlays. That's it. Go ahead, hot hand. I lost one game last weekend. It was Tennessee Moneyline. It ain't just parlays, buddy, but I got a parlay for you. Here are the spreads here, gentlemen. Michigan minus six and a half. Hell yeah. Georgia minus five and a half. Now here are the Moneylines. Iowa, Nebraska, Mizzou. That is plus 842. Gentlemen, I feel good about that one. Three Moneylines. Arizona, Northwestern, South Carolina. Who's Arizona playing? Texas Tech. Texas Tech. You're really putting your balls on the line with South Carolina, because immediately when that phone call was taking place, JP had a monologue on bussing, and I'm like, you got to go into Norman, Oklahoma this week. After a massive win, you stormed the field, Cocktober's alive and back. It's Wednesday, and JP's still beaming. You know what Mazeo Bennett did Monday? Posted consistency, 5:00 AM. Did you know that? Did you know that? No. This game takes place Saturday, right? Yes. What day is Saturday? You already know, man. All right. No worries. Halloween. Halloween. The finale of Cocktober. Finale. Halloween's secondary to the finale of Cocktober. Yeah. It might be, actually, if they win this week. Yeah. If they win this week. Last week. Yeah, but you and I, we already-- I told you on the plane. You're fucking right. I picked against them last week. Yeah. And Tennessee should have won that damn game. Three touchdowns called back by penalties? Don't make the point. Yeah. Stop cheating. Stop cheating. All right. Stop cheating. Stop cheating. All right. I got Baylor money line, Oregon money line, NC State money line, Michigan, alt spread, minus 9 and 1/2 for a very conservative, plus 572. Thank you. I like that. That looks good. Thank you. That is a golf clapboard. Thank you. You like that one? You're relying on Oregon to beat Chip Kelly. I am. And Oregon. Fuck. I know, dude. Like, they're-- like, you talk about USC, Pac-12. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You talk about USC packing it in. Is that happening with Oregon? Packing it in? Packing-- I mean, if they haven't already packed. Man, I want to say no. The modern locker room is such that these are not a bunch of guys who grew up in Oregon, that dreamed of playing for Oregon, that are willing to die for Oregon. Mm-hmm. I hope they don't, but I mean, nothing would surprise me. Yeah. Because you know the conversations at this point in the year when you're-- you're out of the college football playoff or it looks that way. Like, in the NFL, a lot of those speeches and conversations turn into, "You're still playing for 31 other teams. Play for the name on the back, not the front play-- find something to play for." Mm-hmm. And to think that this younger generation in college-- not that they can't think that way, but a lot of these guys are probably hitting up their agency-- Mm-hmm. 100%. --what their market is. Or the other way around. Agents hitting them up. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Other teams are hitting them up. Like, just a lot of distraction. You want to get back to this? And not just 31 teams. Like, you're looking at-- well, how many teams are there in college football? 138? 139? 138. Yeah. It varies year by year. It varies. Yeah. Yeah. I just-- damn. It ain't good. And the fact that so many of those players decided not to go to the NFL last year. Like, Dante Moore being like, "We're hanging it up. We're hanging it up. We're hanging it up." Dante Moore being like, "We're hanging it up for the rest of the season." Running it back. Yeah. And he's got to. I think it's the correct move for him for a long-term career success. Yeah. It just sucks that it's happening to Oregon. No doubt. Like, your team's out of it. Team's out of it. And Dante Moore was looked at as going, what? Top three in the NFL draft? Yeah. He was looked at, I think, in a lot of ways, like, argued for the number one overall pick this year. A mess-to-maker's out there doing his thing. Mm-hmm. And that's how-- that's who people are talking about going one. And as bad as the offense is looked without him, you know what I mean? You're-- all the angles, you can't risk going out there and putting on bad tape. Putting on bad tape. but with guys that might have one foot half out the door yeah and the funniest thing about that is if the draft order stays the way it is right now like the first overall pick will be jeremiah smith yeah because chargers and they're not gonna they got their quarterback mitchell what's up sac state do what are you saying what does dylan do yeah oh uh yeah i mean i'm not sure it probably depends on the coordinator like changes that happen in the off season like they'll be looking everybody's going to be looking at all their options yeah including yeah yeah yeah i mean oregon will be in the market for a for a quarterback no multiple quarterbacks yeah no don't is that don't he's done yeah last year yeah he's going to the nfl yeah he is he is currently in florida arizona or texas trading for the compound that's where he's at um but yeah dylan just didn't work yeah it didn't work he's gonna have to go to a new place and he's gonna have to make it work at a
