The Locker Room - CFB Week 8 Picks: Josh Pate LOVES Houston + Taylor Lewan, Will Compton CONFIDENT In Tennessee
1h 31m 44s
The podcast highlights a record-breaking, chaotic weekend in college football, marked by multiple top teams collapsing in key games, creating an unpredictable playoff landscape. A surge of perfect pick performances — over 127 fans achieving 10-for-10 against the spread — underscores the season's volatility and the growing public engagement with college football analytics. The episode also investigates officiating inconsistencies, particularly in critical moments like missed seconds, raising concerns about accountability and procedural fairness across conferences. A central theme is the rising reliance on transfer portal talent and high school recruiting, which, while increasing depth, exposes weaknesses in team cohesion and communication. The analysis reveals that coaching philosophy, quarterback development, and defensive stability are pivotal for success, with programs like Ohio State, Texas, and Oregon facing significant challenges. The College Football Playoff system is under scrutiny, with multiple one-loss or three-loss teams from the Big 12 and SEC potentially vying for spots, risking a chaotic and unbalanced format. A "doomsday" scenario involving multiple undefeated or one-loss teams from major conferences could lead to a breakdown in playoff fairness and rankings. Ultimately, the episode calls for deeper evaluation of program structures, not just player talent, to ensure sustainable success and equitable competition.

Hit me with it again, folks. Check your DMs. Scuba Steve. Scuba Steve. Scuba Steve. Scuba Steve. We roll. We roll. We roll. We roll. We roll. In the modium. All right. All right. We won't do it again. That's fine. $250. $250. All right. Just didn't count. It popped up. It popped up. You see how it popped up to kind of popped up and out? Yeah. It popped up and out. That one didn't count. We do the roll. Oh, no. Don't mess with the board, bro. $500. We did it. We did it. $1000. We did it. $1000. So far. $1000. We're Scuba Steve. We're going to look back at some of our futures and then look to the future a little bit about what's breaking down on these massive conferences. Let's have a hell of a show. Touchdown. Welcome to another episode of the locker room. As always, we are presented by the FanDoubles Sportsbook before we get into all the sports. But all the fun, all the goodies, make sure to stay responsible. There's a responsible gaming section in the app. Or you can go to fandole.com/play with a plan. Guys, I'm looking at it. Against the spread. Our 10 picks against the spread. Taylor, me and you. We needed three correct picks. Josh, you scooped four in the most chaotic weekend of college football. Guys, we're talking about these 10 against the spread picks. Going 30%, going 40%. All you have to do it is for free. You go on, there's no wager involved. You can bet 10 games against the spread. If you beat any one of us. So if you were to win four last week, you would have earned a profit boost token. Nearly or over 100,000 people earned a profit boost token. And then I want to say over 100 people. 127. 127 people got 10 out of 10 right. And they split a share of a half a million dollar jackpot. That's it. That was around what? Four grand. Each person won $3,937. Basically four grand. And scoop of seed just got. Imagine last week this past weekend we just had in college football and going 10 for 10 against the spread. That's yeah. We have to look into what's going on there. There might have to be an investigation that takes place. And all people have to simply do is go on a fan tool. Fandals, college, football, pick them. You bet 10 games against the spread. You beat any of us. Profit boost token. You go 10 out of 10. You want to share $500,000. And then go.com/ slash bus. Oh, that's what we missed. It's a tough word. There's some that are BWTB. Mm-hmm. And then you got bus. Which I should have just now. And for the others, you always want to have clarity. So that's good. All right. This forward leader board segment is presented by you guessed it. Ford a hard days work starts with one thing. Someone willing to do it. And where there's a will. There's a Ford F series truck. Here it is. Last week, fellas. Merck. I mean, you've been forged in this fire. Well, five. I've had two weeks. Five, four, five. Yeah, that's a nothing. It could have been worse though. Yeah. That's I won. Last year. Yeah, you won last week. You want to know on the season. Down five units. That's that's bad. Taylor lost 10. Josh 13. It's my first losing week. Yeah, but 13. Yeah, I made it count. It's big losing week. Yeah. Only up. What am I? 27 units. Plus 27 on the season. People are out there saying you don't know ball now. Well, the bad part is you know, good and well. There are people out there who waited half of the year to see who they think's legit. And then they said, oh, this dude's up 40. I'll follow him this week. Someone out there is down 13 units on the season. Yeah, that's tough. That's the hard part. I've jumped on the bandwagon. Are you the guy that finally tips it over and you're overweight? What if someone tailed you to start the year and you got him down 30. And then they just waited a couple of weeks and then they tailed me. And so someone out there has tailed a combination of you and me at the wrong time and they're down like six. There's someone out there's losing their mind. Yeah. There's somebody out there that's crushing it right now. You talked about how many people got 10 perfect picks against the spread in this chaotic of a week. Yeah. And you're in your time of enjoying college football. Have you ever noticed? Have you ever had a weekend like this past weekend? No, I would say that's up there. I was trying to think there the totality of the '07 season was like that. I think it was the number two team that fell like seven or eight weeks of the season. But just like overall top top 10 teams all falling same day. And then the way it was spread out. So the way the day went we were at the Indiana game, Indiana Ohio State. And that game ends crazily. And then it was one of those things where you're driving home. You got the YouTube TV playing, but you're listening to it like a radio feed because you can't watch it. You've got Florida, Tennessee. Yeah. I thought Texas or Florida, Texas, I thought Texas was going to run away with that because it was 17, three early. That was once I got there back on track. We were at the activation during that. And we're watching. Oh, it's going to be a splatter in the future. Josh paid splatter in three. Yeah, I didn't know that one of the touchdowns was special teams at the time. I thought art was just carving them up because it's the one hundred and thirty first ranked secondary in the country. Anyway, so that come back happens. And then that gets you primed for the mid afternoon windows. And then Tennessee Bama goes down and Auburn Georgia goes down after Georgia's up 14 oh early. So that was Texas and Georgia both get up two touchdowns and you kind of subconsciously flip it off. And then they end up both losing. And like if I wonder this, if you're a Notre Dame fan, you know how days work in theme. Like in college football, you could tell when it's a volcanic Saturday. It's a big upset Saturday. Do you really want to be taking the field in Provo Utah as a ten and a half point favorite with all just the smoldering rubble in the 12 and 330 games? I don't know, but they found out too. And knowing that it's all lies on Notre Dame that night. And then you will put the fraud alert out. And the comment you made on get up was it's better for Notre Dame to win this game. 27 to 10 as opposed to like 43 to 10 like where it's absolute block. Because then it turns into will be why he's just not this good. Yeah. And I don't actually believe that myself. I wouldn't have viewed them that way. Yeah. But Grini was asking about narrative. Yeah. And that was going to happen. Like if Notre Dame won that game 21 to 13 or something like that, it could have looked just like it looked the other night. Really, really hard fought grinder of a game. Like you couldn't see through bringing young the other night. They played phenomenally. That wasn't very, very like paper tiger type performance. But if Notre Dame went out there, 143 is up. Everyone would just say they were a fraudulent big 12 team. You know, they were ranked in AP poll number only. They weren't legit. And they still would have been looking towards that Miami game as that's your one test. But there was a third possibility in the room that no one talked about. They could just lose. Yeah. Which is why? Fairbot Mike could throw for him. He could run for him. He could catch him. That's like singularly one of the great performances. We'll see all year. We need him to get back on that field and play that final second. That is. You're going to go there. They had to find a second somewhere, right? I did. I mean, there was a second level. Well, I've got some news. If you would like me to. Is this grenade news? This is. Yeah. Is it actual news that you can say a lot? Mm hmm. I can't get specific on it. I can show you to something very quick. So last night. I do my show. I talked about officiating. And what I thought was a responsible matter. I'm not going to say which league. But a certain head official. From a league. Oh my God. Gave some feedback. Gave some feedback. How many how many caps and exclamation points were in that text? It was really constructive. Okay. Like there's. There. When you talk to these official. We talk to him pregame sometimes. We'll be out on the field and we'll talk to him pregame. I can't tell you how many times officials have come up. Apparently they all watch the show. And one of them will come up every now and then probably seven or eight times a year. More times than not. I'll talk to an official before a game. And they'll say they'll say I liked about 70% of what you said the other day. Here's what you need to know. And so they'll kind of make their case. And a lot of times when they're making their case, they'll just say we screwed up. There was punishment dealt behind the scene.
the public doesn't know about but then there'll be other times where they'll say here's kind of the machinations of it that you don't really know. In fairness to you, you couldn't know. And then there are third times, and this is what bothers me more, where they'll just say what you don't understand is conference to conference. We have different things that are emphasized. We have different heads of officiating blah, blah, blah. That makes no sense. But with what you're talking about, that's what anger is people the most. Because that has nothing to do with any kind of conference by conference protocol. I'm pretty sure every conference emphasizes, make sure the game doesn't end until all the seconds have run off the clock. I'm pretty sure that's a rule in every conference, so that one is inexcusable. What are you able to, the punishments behind the scenes that nobody understands or sees? What are some of these punishments? And if they're making actual punishments, they shouldn't make them so people see other than just letting like the public just be outraged. This is my, that's my stance. I will tell you the pushback on that. The pushback is if you publicly label officials that have been dealt punishments that have been demoted and stuff, they kind of get scarlet lettered for the rest of their career. Now, the obvious retort there is, okay, but if players screw up, it's public knowledge, they get scarlet lettered, come rest of their career. But I don't know, and I get their point, even if I don't agree with it, I do get the viewpoint of the officiating mechanism probably has to be handled a little bit differently. Because if you're, if you're just doing the best you can and you screw a game up, and then you get punished and you get demoted, until the end of time, every game you're on thereafter, if I know Taylor LaWan, that dude who messed that game up in week three of 2025, he's calling this game. Anytime something goes sideways, I just haven't in the back of my mind. I wonder if something's up here. Whereas, you know, if a left tackle misses a block, my first thing I go to is, man, I wonder if he's on the take. I wonder if something suspicious here. I just say, we got to look at the number two. We got to see what the backup looks like. It's like the movie rat race. You remember that movie? It's a rat race situation. Yeah, it's a rat race situation. It's a rat race type situation. Yeah, the fact that we saw some from multiple angles that there's one second left in that game. And there was no one to raise anything. And then the conference that has the team that won the game is like, by the way, our bad that's a mistake. Yeah, they just follow. We're sorry. They kind of just followed a big 10 playbook there. Yep. Well, they, but it was like the exact opposite. We got to put an extra second on. Now there's clearly one second left. And was it passing interference? Because you're getting both of those. You have one last play from the three and a half yard line. Me personally, I'm thinking you let the boys play like the heat was kind of draped on them. However, in that big of a moment, do you really pull the laundry out? But to have one second clearly on and not say, all right, everybody get back on the field is well, because I'm sitting there as the game's ending. And I'm like, probably like an unintelligent amount of time sitting there waiting and they were like, now talking post game. I'm like, I swear to God, they're going to be like, hey, we got to go back out there and do. I didn't even notice the second till people were talking about it after because I was more like looking around the field. If there's going to be laundry, given that it was a defensive pass interference, but I, yeah, I don't mind that they were like letting the boys play. But then when people were talking about there was a second second on TV, second on the scoreboard, all of it. I'm like, yo, what? You can't. They got another play. Right. And is that efficient? Is that an officiating issue? Yes. Is it like the guys on the field that makes that a problem? Or is that people up in like for New York watching that because the official should be watching the play on the field? Yeah, but that's someone in the, I think they're in the press box area. Like the time keeper, actually, let me not talk further than what I know, where the official time keeper is. It may be an official on the field. It's the official time keeper, but there's someone up in the box. Like when they say, hey, please put 13 seconds back on the clock. They're doing that because whoever they're talking to is not on the field. They're up in the box. Having said that, I want to know when they realized it because the way officiating works, their fans don't get to see this, but we'll see it all the time. They're like two vans that back down the tunnel for every game. And as soon as the game ends, the officials run off the field, they get in those vans so they can get them out of there. Even in a normal game, much less a field storming game. So I picture them like driving to the airport and they're guys. I think there was a second left on the clock. Did we? Did we miss something? Oh, well, and they just get on their plane. The label put out a statement tomorrow. Yeah, we'll be fine because I don't blame the refs that I don't blame the guys actually wearing the zebra uniforms in that situation. I blame whoever else is supposed to be keeping time people. It's like a head coach. It's also taking on like offense corner responsibilities. Like, how much can you have in your plate before you miss something for the refs? It's like everyone's at their specific job and focus on the ref on the field that has some I know there is just something I don't know about enough to come. I know there is an official time keeper though. I just want to know when they realized it. And what was funny is when the Western Michigan Michigan thing happened, the whole world absent Michigan fans is pulling for the upset and then the underdog is the one they perceived to be screwed. So there was like this national outrage for a week. However, Brigham Young ends up being the beneficiary and the whole world hates Notre Dame. So they're like, come on now. Let me drink your tears. Yeah, yeah. They love the sheet of bluebloods. Go down, man. They they salivate over it. Oh, another blue blood that went down. I mean, Julian saying, yeah, out indefinitely, we were talking before my is he done for the season? Is he not people are saying yes, he is, but it hasn't been confirmed. Like, where is Ohio State? And your mind as far as like how the rest of the season lines up, I think they're going to miss the playoffs. I think they're going to lose two more games in this play. You really think like could you just don't believe in the backup? Like, you don't believe in the situation. When's the last time we've seen them lose multiple games in the regular season? Ten and two, the year you guys beat him and they won the national championship. The 23 or 24 rain goes using for me as 11 games. Oh, my bad. And then the last game, it's anybody's ball. I don't know then. That's because you need to lose two more. What is their schedule? The rest of the time. I know they got their job at the USC. They got the rest western Nebraska. They got to work again. They had to work. It's a tough life. There's they got to buy week. This week, but there is no soft stretch for them to work their way, you know, up to four. Hey, let me go ahead and offer this hats off to him for beating Indiana. Julian saying that it looked good. Like, they haven't rolled it all this year. Oh, but they can lean on a ground game. No, they can't. Their ground game's not been nearly to the degree that I thought it would. What has been to the degree that everyone thought it wouldn't then sums defense or defense, not defense. It sounded nice. Yeah, the defense. The old has defense. I love. Are they going to are they going to be able to ride that? And the other thing is everyone's just expected, taby and stinclair to be the backup. And then, no, that's not who comes off the bench. And then Ryan Day says afterwards, well, he has said we're going to kind of split the reps with taby and stinclair and a dude whose name no one was even aware of. I'm pretty sure half the Ohio State fan base wasn't even aware of it. You're like, wait, why is taby and stinclair not ready? He's not a true freshman. He's been here a year. He's a four or five star. And then you just run down this this whole list of former five star quarterbacks that aren't panning out to the degree that everyone thought they would, which is we could do an hour and a half show right now on the state of QB play in college football. And it was going to be awesome this year. There were like 30 or 35 names you were looking at saying, man, I love that. And then strangely, almost every quarterback that's fallen short of expectation is on a team that doesn't have a run game. And every QB that is met or exceeded expectation is on a team that does have a run game in the top 40, which in this pretty crazy theory I'm going to float leads me to believe there may be a little bit more to QB play than just the QB. It may be a team sport, I mean, that would be the take. Clean, dimensional football. I was beautifully. Somebody was somebody's mentioned in when we were sitting there before the show is like, how many teams are going to be needing a quarterback in the portal? It's like, yeah, but how do you even know what you're going to get right to get that core back? Brooks also had to get a tweet about that. It's like what Indiana takes say in a Michigan Oregon Miami Ohio State seems like they're going to need more like there's there's six teams right there. But it's like all those Q quarterbacks even out there. Because coming into this year, you thought the the sport was going to be flooded with good quarterback play. Yeah. And it just hadn't seen to be that well, the best argument is looking Nebraska. They're completely different. You and LV. So like, yeah, the quarterbacks are going to be out there that fit your system, but it's up to the the GMs and the new newly found scouting department in this in LA are figuring that out and being like, this is the best guy that fits our scheme. Like you can't tell me that Breedon Atkinson is not going to be in a Ohio State butt guy next year. I was on the phone with a head coach major head coach the last two weeks. And his GM was in the room. I was on speakerphone rude, but I was on speakerphone nonetheless. And I mentioned Atkinson. And I heard the conversation like, why didn't we know about that guy? Like, what did we know about that guy? And then they started yelling at each other, playfully, but you can tell there was a layer of seriousness to it because they're like, how in a modern NIL quarterback market does a guy fall through the cracks to the degree that he lands at Oregon state by way of Mercer. Mercer's in Macon, Georgia. Oregon state is in Corvallis, Oregon. So it's not like that guy had a hometown discount or he just went to a school in his backyard. Everybody else overlooked him in Jamarket Shepherd said, first year at Oregon state, I'll go with the kid at Mercer, ding, like just ding just works straight out of the game. And then Jesse LaGrey too. Crazy. How like he? LaGrey. LaGrey. LaGrey. Well, you can't hit him up and ask him because all requests have to run through his representation now. What does that mean? What is that? What does that mean? No one knows. No one knows. Oh, he's like that. He's
His dad and posted uh, yeah, I've heard enough. I've heard enough, dude. Oh, he has a father Never mind There's no way like that kid. He perfectly fits what Ryan Day wants in our state like not a super mobile quarterback And then you got to think Jesse goes with Atkinson wherever he goes or what or both of them go I don't want to start a rumor. So I'm gonna say this quite Both of them go wherever you mark it shepherd goes. Yeah No one heard that club club. No, what's up? Here's David please One year guy and out might be one of the hottest names. You heard the rumor that he might be one of the things like he's clear Texas tack ahead of Houston down the wire early in the season I heard from a very reputable person in college football on Josh Bay that His name is circled by a lot of people Got to have the job openings though Okay, so everything we're saying we're seeing Ryan days out at Ohio State basically yeah and shepherds in feeling the heat Feeling the heat is that what we're hearing it's a good miss midsy's check-in job openings any Any yeah, yeah, so I think NC state is very much in play to open Maryland's gonna open. I expect Syracuse to open If you pin me down right now. I don't think Florida State's gonna open unless there's like a sort of mutual There, but just traditional firing. I don't think that's gonna happen right now I think Shane Beamer was always way safer than people thought he was I'll include myself in that because I didn't do enough due diligence on it now. I really think he's okay But it's obviously a big weekend in Colombia. I don't know if you guys are aware But you know what month it is. Yes contour and you know who's in town Yeah, and you know who's playing their eight straight game coming off the Alabama game Meanwhile the home team is rested Where have we seen that dynamic before in Athens, Georgia last week. So I Don't think I think Dave Aranda. I thought after last week Dave Aranda was cooked at Baylor. Maybe not There's just a lot of hesitance to move on coaches in general like I talked to a guy yesterday who lives in that world And he said there's not a whole lot of immediate movement that's expected Is there any bigger name schools? Blue blood type schools that you think there might be something going on Sure, just keep an eye on. Well, there's always keep an eye like a like a rock and a pro grenade out there The same one after last year is the same one now Everyone is waiting to see what USC does Everyone's waiting to see where the Lincoln Riley breaks through this year or they fall short Because if they fall short USC will go after Kaylen De Boer and they'll make him give them an answer and that's how the market would get Throw it into a tailspin that's really common knowledge behind the scenes That's not like anything that's earth shattering outside of that I think Texas is a special situation Because that booster class is really really on edge right now and that's before Ole Miss and Trinidad Chamble is going to Austin They're they're on the precipice of having what was a championship or bust season bust Before Halloween and I don't want to tell you I don't have to tell you what November would feel like around there still with multiple Loosable games left So I don't Texas is its own planet like don't tie Texas into the logic I'm using for every other school here but outside of those I'm trying to think I don't know that there's much activity but every week could change that yeah like if I'm we'll talk about Tennessee South Carolina Let's say that game just goes radically off the rails for South Carolina. Let's say FSU loses three more games Sure, man people are prone to swings of emotion. Anything could happen. So all I can give you is the hearing now The the thing that's interesting to me about how much Texas beyond a different planet There's bigger programs that when they don't do well and they have a lot of funding a lot of the thought is hey We're gonna just pull our money. We're not gonna do this Because there really is no ROI other than the ego of your school is winning you have a lot of money You're willing to give it so you give it and then hopefully that translate to wins on the field with Texas being their own thing Are is that a booster program That would ever be like you know what you have all these weapons. We're not gonna give as much money Cuz Texas feels like to me that they're like we're gonna force this square square pegging around hole as long as possible because they have so much money And they're gonna continue to do so and they refuse to ever be in that this category of not always looked at as a contender Going into the season. You ask a lot of good questions. Thank you. This may be the best wow Yeah, this is way up there. This is like a top five of 2026 for you. Thank you dive on it for a second. So What do we just watched we what what are we in the process of watching? We're watching organ maybe LSU Texas Texas A&M. We're watching some of the biggest spending rosters the highest value rosters in the sport Suffering multiple losses some of those will be three and four lost teams now. Here's what happens I think the donor class what they don't do is they look and say we're never spending on football again What I do think they do is they look at Georgia as an example and they say wait Georgia doesn't outspend us Georgia spends but they don't outspend us and yet they're the model of consistency year over year like god Help us if they ever get a quarterback that is like transcendent. We would never beat them How does Georgia do it? They do it the same way they've always done it. They go recruit high school They sprinkle portal where needed but where Georgia spends is they spend on the guys they already have in the program that they want to keep yeah So they still keep the developmental piece They still have a fire that they want to throw guys into some of them will get burned and unlike in years past They could just toss them out But the ones that get forged in it properly Georgia just pays those guys. That's the same model Ohio state uses It's the same model Alabama uses so if I'm a big seven-figure per year guy stroking to check at Texas or Texas A&M or Oregon But especially the Texas schools because they got high school kids in their backyard that they should be locking down I'm looking and I'm saying I'm still willing to spend But what we're not going to do is we're not going to go supermarket sweep style in the portal anymore And just think we're throwing together an all-star team because we're going to get beat every time By the teams that just reinvest in traditional high school recruiting evaluation and then program based development So if you can get that figured out Steve Sarkesian It I think Elko knows how to do that. I just think it's a down year for them If you could figure that out Lane if you could figure that out Dan landing that's when you're getting my money for me I'm not guessing on that because I've had conversations with seven figure guys this week about that very subject And they're all collectively looking around saying Maybe we got fooled a little bit by what's going to win in the portal era We thought it's just Let other people develop the players then we'll go buy them and we'll reap the benefit of the other team developing them for us It's not that easy to put a team together contrary to Popular belief. It's not that easy to put it so new too because like Was it Texas Tech last year they had 43 transfers and that big conversation we had in the futures is like can you get these mercenaries To go play as a cohesive unit and they clearly go win the B12 championship. They look great until I think they did a great job They did a phenomenal. They just didn't have a good enough quarterback. Yeah, and so it's like now. We're in a different year Where even more money's been spent not just in one school but a whole bunch of schools and it's exactly what you're saying like well Georgia They keep doing it. They just lost to Auburn, but still like I mean again the Signeti Vod too Signeti's ruined a lot of people. Yeah, yeah, yeah going undefeated like he didn't have that team forever Yeah, year two and they go undefeated 16 and oh and win the netty Like a lot of the two of balance is a lot of those big money people I feel like we'll have some influence and control on making the test the decision of who's gonna be the head coach I feel like if if ten if Texas becomes this bus team by November He is I think it could happen. Yeah. Well, I said it in preseason I said I mean I had Texas playing for the national title or final four. I can't remember anyway. We'll rehash that But I said if this doesn't happen Texas is a special circumstance. It was always going to be that way right It was one where the everybody was all in on the head coach and the team But it's just a different thing. This is not if you fail. Oh, you got two or three more years. This is A group of people that are going to look and say If you couldn't get it done with this group And you're four or five years in or whatever now and we don't even have an SEC title We don't have a national title you haven't even played for national title We think we have everything we need the missing piece is the head coaching piece Because you're also sitting at the table two and you're trusting like after last year And if the the coaching father the CYA type mentality is we don't have the players yet Like if we get to spend on these players that we do all the formulas on these are the guys we need to go out get you get them And then you bust this year that we're currently in it's You know, there's not going to be a lot there because if whoever's in that room staff wise That's like if we get these players. Yeah, where we care where we care if we go out and spend here and get these guys And we've braided. We've done all this stuff with we get them like we're cooking with dynamite. We're a championship football team I think we all agree that Sarkslinger really good head coach But if there's a $50 million roster if they do have a net them and they have to play at LSU still But there's a handful of games have our very loosable game So let's say they lose four games that are three and Texas goes we're done with this We don't we're done with this with Sark Asian. We're gonna move off from him. Go find the next best head coach for our program is there a Blemish on Sark from these other programs where they're like hey You couldn't get it done with all those weapons with the revamped offensive line with two running backs at less For over $1,000 a year prior to different schools like what to say you can get it done at this school. That's an easy adjustment for him
it's easy in theory. He would just have to sell that he's going to bring in a coordinator, an offensive coordinator. Same thing Billy Napier just did. Billy Napier failed at Florida because he wasn't willing to seed control of the offense. Well, he did that in exchange for getting the J.M.U. job. J.M.U. is undefeated right now. They look really good. And you know, he has since publicly said, I learned some lessons from that. You know, Florida fans counter is, well, why did it take getting fired for you to learn those lessons? But I digress. That would be, we're way ahead of ourselves here, but that would be what you would hear from Sark before he took his next job is I learned, I learned some things, how to, how to help the introspection of myself. Maybe it is time for me to give up play calling me. I just don't, I don't think he's going to do it voluntarily. And then you got to ask yourself, well, if this season goes off the rails and the meeting is, Steve, we're, we want to keep you here. We like you, but here's what you're going to have to do. That conversation would happen. No. What would his response be? Because some guys, I say prideful. Some guys just have way too much belief in their way of doing things. They would rather get fired than attempt to do it a way that's not theirs. Yeah. The team, team control out of their own hands. Like Sark has a feeling of like, I call these plays, he can live and die by that sort of talk to him about this before I posed this to him. And he said, that's all I know. Right. Like I, if I'm going down, I'm going down doing what I think I'm the best at was paraphrasing how he feels about it. I doubt that's changed. I doubt that feeling's changed. Yeah, but the noise gets super loud. You lose, you know, one more game, two more games. It's literally one more game. It's a literally one more game before this conversation gets more and more real. The, um, the only have three losses. Can we talk about how chaotic this, uh, CFP could be this year? Before before we do, I just got a question about, like clump brought up a really good point. We were looking at someone, I think you were talking about you, they quoted a tweet about all the top quarterbacks like the last three classes. And George, it goes through the recruiting process and there's definitely in the old fashioned way and then springing what they need in the transfer portal. We have to figure out a way to reevaluate these kids because there's so many different platforms now that can give kids stars and tell them how great they are. That's like Hunter Wagner difference. It's like he was a four star across the board, except for 24/7. He was a five stuff. He's obviously lighting it up now, but he had a good run game. Yeah, with a good run game. He, they're lighting up now, but he had to start somewhere, fall off and go. So like, there needs to be some sort of like evolution in the college footballer and in the high school department before college in like a combine sense. Not like make these kids run and jump do all things, but like getting in a room with, if you're having a lead 11. It's just putting these kids in the field. Let's see what they do. Like why are these kids not sitting in a room and breaking down film and someone who knows ball and knows quarterback play can digest how this person picks up playbooks and everything. We'll tell me this. If you're coming out of high school, four star quarterback, five star quarterback, but you have offers from Georgia, Ohio State, USC, Texas, Alabama. And I'm a fan and I'm looking at you. Is that not the experts in the room evaluating you is Ryan Day, Kalen DeBoer, Kirby smart. Like, is that not the expert counsel? So I'll give you my take on you. I don't think the evil process of the high school player has changed at all or worsen. If it's worsen, it's negligible. What I think's happening is the top soil that you're throwing those seeds in at the college level has never had more turn than it does right now. Like you would have a very hard time convincing me that all of a sudden the same process that's graded high school quarterbacks forever, four star, five star, all of a sudden just got poisoned because there's no fundamental change to it. If anything, you've never had more access to be able to grade kids. Conditionally, there are always busts like I'm not saying they're not, but they're always were right. But all of a sudden, there's like this huge spike in five star graded kids that aren't working out. And so what I'm saying is maybe the evil of the player is not what needs to change. Maybe a much healthier look needs to be put on evaluating programs, not teams, but like full on organizational structure programs. And like, what is the top soil? What's the garden I'm throwing the seed in? Cause if it's constantly being churned up every day, it never has time to germinate. Is that the right word? It never has time to take root. Keep watering. How dumb would it be if you toss the seed in? And then you just like kept messing with the soil every day. And then you look and say, well, that seed was, that seed was faulty. No, it wasn't. That seed could be taken out of your garden, thrown in another one to do treats at the right way, the kind of Whitman seed. And it sprouts in Houston. Yeah. So is the is the fix for that the evaluation process is the same. However, these contracts of these NIL kids have mean to be multiple year contracts. So they have an opportunity for the seed to stay and to sprout and germinate. I think they are. I think a lot of them. Are they doing what I'm saying like now? I'm not saying the two year ago contracts, but the ones now are, my understanding is most of them are because that's what you want. And you want to, in a perfect rug, you want to backload it. But you also, what happens if you get the. It's an agent. Make sure nothing changed. What happens if you get the right quarterback, but you don't have to write anything else? Like what quarterback would succeed at Texas A&M right now? Pick one. I would love to see Trinidad Chambles, who I think is the best in the country. Darian Mensa, I'd love to see those dudes with that inefficient offensive line and no ground game, inconsistency everywhere. Do you really think they're in the Heisman conversation at A&M? Because I don't. Yeah, it's a great point. Same quarterback. One dimensional football can't have it. Same quarterback. So is the is my evaluation of Trinidad Chambles wrong once he goes and fails in college station? Or is there something a little bit a miss in college station? Too much value to put on weapons, not much on the trenches. Thanks. And I'll always come back to offensive linemen. It does. The most important thing you can possibly have when you watch your line play right now, and then you watch your line play 10 years ago. How does it compare? Standard college offensive line play. How does it compare? I don't watch all line play 10 years ago. So you weren't really interested with offensive line play. I was watching 10 years ago. I was playing in the game. What about 15 years ago? Play 15 years ago. I didn't watch film. He was a kid. He was a 21 years old. Do you know anyone I can talk to you about offensive line play? I'd like to be like, these guys do this over like by. You have anyone I can talk to about offensive line play. Cool. Cubic would be great. Okay. Guys. Cool. Cubic would be awesome. For me to compare. How college is now prepared how college was 10 years ago? That's where I get lost in that. I don't know. I thought you watch film. No, I don't know. I can tell you what the product is that we're seeing right now. But I can't tell you like 10 years ago. They used to do this. And this is where like, Hey, we were the gap scheme to zone and all that. You know what crazy part is tell me you could have just lied and sounded like a genius. I know one would have been able to tell the difference. True. What are you seeing now then? I'm seeing holes. I'm seeing guys now playing as a key student. I think when you look at the transfer portal and you talk about bringing a bunch of guys in, the hardest thing to get the gel isn't the individual slot wide receiver out there who knows what routes to run for himself. That's called an every single play. It's for five guys to be on the same page. That's that's the hardest thing I see. So take kind of see for instance, like there's multiple plays where they are all on the same page. The picture is very clear to them. And they look like a very good cohesive unit. And then you put one wrinkle in like the safety walking down. And you can see their marks. She kind of messed up. I also see a lot of quarterback play not coming up to the line. And possibly we're making things and getting everybody in the center. Same page because the old adage is if everybody's wrong and then you're right. However, it doesn't seem like there's a lot of communication taking place from the center out in a lot of these programs. That's where I see like the biggest fall. So it sounds like if I could use the pumpkins, I might pick one up to it. It sounds like you're seeing a whole lot of this and not enough of this. Yeah. Yes. That's excellent. That's excellent. That is what the cool graphic right now. Where did you want to go? Do you want to go look back on our futures? You will look back and look forward towards what could possibly happen now. We go. We go future. We do a future check in. We get into the college football playoff. I think we're looking at a diabolical college football playoff. What are you looking at it? Are you hoping for it? Both. Yeah. You know, we're looking at a lot of school playoff. You can sit there again and be like, Notre Dame should be in. No, no, no. There'll be somebody. It could be Notre Dame. We get the craziest based on the based on the landscape right now. Okay. Because I had two disastrous scenarios I came up with, especially if they both happen. It's like an Armageddon scenario. What's the craziest stuff that you think could happen? And just throw everything into the wheelchair. Okay. This is predicated off of a, a Boise in a Notre Dame being in it as the two outside of the big four conferences. Now as far as conference plays, as far as conference play goes. We got two already. You got two already. In the big 10. I think you could see. Here's here's some hopes here to coming out of the big 10. So knock off either. It's either going to be. I'm going to put Ohio State and Indiana in the big 10 championship. I'm going to say UCLA. If they're in a spot to where they are a two loss big 10 team. So they're out of the conference. They're out of the conference title game. So you're looking at a 10 and two UCLA. They'd have to lose two on this back stretch. Okay. Take that there. So put Ohio State and Indiana still in it. [BLANK_AUDIO]
hypothetical. You go to the big 12 BYU Texas tech continue to take our business. They win. Let's say you tall is a one loss football team. All right. Now you go to the ACC. So far we got seven. So far we got. Yeah. So far we got seven. What who do I have in there right now? One, two, three, four. Yeah. So far we got seven. So three big 12 ACC. Wake Forest wins out, but they're in the ACC championship game. They lose one. They lose a close one to Miami. All right. So we have an 11, an 11 and two Wake Forest team in. Possibly. Possibly. Yes. Possibly. Because in my scenario, I think they would get it. SEC. Let's say Georgia. Georgia is going to be a one loss team. They're going to play a two loss team insert whoever you insert one two loss team in the SEC into the SEC championship game. Georgia beats them. This two loss now three loss SEC. This SEC team is going to be in a pool with other with two or three other three loss SEC. It's like Bama last year. Yeah. Just like Bama last year. And you're you're going to be arguing for four SEC teams. Three of them being three loss to be in the casual playoff, which I do believe it should be that way. You're going to be looking at UCLA that didn't get into the championship game. They were ten and two, but a soft schedule that you'll be arguing them arguing them to be out. Big 10 gets two and big 12 gets three in ACC gets two in because of Wake Forest losing a one team. I think where the seating will end up happening. You saw it similar with BYU last year. They were on the cusp. What were you saying that they were ranked when the cost will apply before the championship weekend 11 when the when the AP pull came out and then dropped a 13 years. We all we all look at and be like, oh BYU's in. It's like no BYU's on because G5 still got to get in the nonco. And we kind of knew it going in like it was pretty widely understood like unless they win this game right now, which it's hilarious that that conference game has weight, but the SEC championship doesn't have a weight. Different weights taking place because you're talking about UCLA team not getting in at 10 and two. It's like how? I don't think they get in at 10 and two. You don't think they get in at 10 to. Their schedule is not going to allow them to nor should it. Their schedule. This is why you shouldn't have 18 team conferences, by the way, or 16. Yeah, 18 team conferences because it's so disproportionately weighted. UCLA. It's not their fault. They did what they were supposed to. They won. So you're saying they're like the Notre Dame of last year. Yeah, but difference is Notre Dame's not in a conference. UCLA is and yet they just look at who they didn't run into just by pure dumb luck of scheduling. And overall with the big 10, it's not as strong as it was last year. Mid and bottom tier, you're right. But that still means that just means someone's going to run into any NN Ohio state and someone's going to avoid both of them. And there you go. They're scheduling about it. But here's what I was thinking about. We interrupt this episode to shout out neutral. No free shout out to neutral. Neutral tastes great and tastes so much better than any other vodka sell through that's out there. It's made with real vodka and real juice. That's what makes it delicious and comes in a variety of flavors like pineapple and watermelon or new flavors lime and strawberry. It's perfect for social occasions because it's such a crowd pleaser, especially during the summer. Football games think beach with friends at an outdoor bar at an outdoor bar on the lake at a music festival. It is the perfect time of year to grab a 12 pack of neutral for the beach or grab a bucket deal in your favorite bar to celebrate football season neutral. Keep it tasty. Well, one quick break in the actually got Lucy breakers here. I usually take this thing to lock in. These bad boys go up to 12 milligrams. So if you need a little something extra, they are for you. They're the only ones doing a long lasting break with that bite and burst flavor. Pre-workout, post-workout doesn't matter. This is what you can reach for when you're looking for a little bit of extra boost. Now you can go to lucy.co/lockerum or just use code locker room. Now here's the fine print right here. Lucie products are only for adults at legal age. Every customer is age verified. Warning. This product contains nicotine nicotine as an addictive chemical. See back to the episode. So I think UCLA is going to go to the big 10 title game and play Indiana because I told you I think Ohio State is going to lose some games here. So like if it's if it's them there and then their second loss is in the big 10 title game, then I think they're in. So like I think Indiana and UCLA will be in. So give me two from the big 10. I think three probably at least from the SEC to me where the doomsday scenarios are are if if wake beats Miami, like just a one off freak situation SMU or Wake Forest, they get to Charlotte. They beat Miami. That's one that would mess things up. But the one that would really mess things up is right now there's not a likely but a possible scenario where a combination of Texas tech, bring them young Houston and Utah are all undefeated or one loss. And I want to know what you're going to do with them because here's what it boils down to it boils down to comparing a couple of one loss big 12 teams against a couple of three loss SEC teams. You remember the whole backdrop of this is all these coaches in the SEC are complaining that they don't think strength of schedule is properly taken into account and they had their spring meetings with the playoff committee. I know because I had one with them too in our office and I laid out these very scenarios and the SEC came out of those meetings saying we got unsatisfactory answers to our questions. Translation, we're not confident that the reputation of our strength of schedule is going to give us the edge we think it's going to give us in all these hypothetical scenarios. Well, fast forward to December, they may not be hypothetical. It may be three loss LSU against one loss Houston three loss Alabama or Ole Miss against one loss fill in the blank, bring them young Texas tech, whatever. I don't know what they're going to do. Houston Utah's I mean, that's the biggest swing game leverage game this weekend, especially if you used to the wins the game. Yes, Houston wins the game because that keeps all of this on the table. Yes. Utah goes and takes care of business. Then all of a sudden it's like you got three three three loss SEC. I don't believe it. They won't get in over a one loss big 12 and you know what happens then chaos. You just burn it down. Yeah. But in this scenario, like I have three SEC teams getting into the playoffs. Yep. Well, Houston would have to lose because again, it's like big 12 would still have three getting in. It's going to be anarchy and it's going to be poetic and we'll be right in the fire. What about Oregon? Like it does Dante more come back. Is he is he planning it? Let's say, let's, I mean, you talk about the future. I know we're getting one in the big day. Yeah, I had already in the national championship. But I'm like, still have the roster in it. They're scheduled. Now if you look at it in the back half, they got Illinois, okay, Northwestern death. That's a good ball club, but you would assume Dante more back. That's a winnable game for them. Oh, how state now you're talking about Julian Sand being out. How state losing a few games was Oregon in that category for you? Meaning what? Like I can see how state losing a few more games. Are you looking at a three, four loss Ohio State team? Oregon. I think we're going to be three four losses. Yeah. Okay. So Oregon, Oregon has to play Ohio State. Then you got where am I Michigan? Clearly, we'll know everything we need to know about Michigan after this. Yeah. And after the Minnesota game. Yeah. But if you look at it, it's a totally new season. We got to call it a car. It's totally different. Oh, true. Okay. Yeah. So that's two. That's true. You come at me a little bit. But I'm just to say Michigan state and then Washington, like all those games are very winnable for Oregon. And if Ohio State follows the way they do, if you select their next ranked next game that happens the last game of the season against USC, like there could be a lot of things that take place. Now Michigan beats Indiana in this scenario. Whereas Indiana, Michigan beats Indiana this weekend. Oh, we got some chaos on the way. Josh Hoover and his shoulder wincing every single time. There's just a lot more to look at. There's a lot more to see. I don't think so. But the SEC as well. And I know I've kind of threw in Michigan. They're just to throw them in. But like, yeah, because I can probably safely say Michigan's not going to be the big thing. Like my outsiders. I like outside my outsiders are the big 10 looking. It's like it's like a Northwestern. I thought he is what to do. Oh, that was an agent. I was making sure that I changed. If you get chaos, see what you're looking at Northwestern. You'd be looking at Iowa, potentially Nebraska, potentially Michigan. I know, I know you're, but in the scenario, imagine, imagine if Iowa and Nebraska are both three lost teams playing in that final week. I don't think either of them get in whoever wins. But they'll be both sides will be sitting there making the case of being a three lost team trying to get in. You know, the coach will play off like any three lost team from a from the SEC or the big time would try would would be trying to get in. Question for you. Notre Dame loses last second field goal game to Miami. I don't think they are. But I'm not. I'm not right. So in your scenario, they're not college football outsider scenario though. Yeah. Notre Dame lose to Miami. Miami just showed they can be what they went to. What was it? Double over time? That's for the state. It was over time. It was all depends. That was crazy, by the way. That's a BYU, not calling DPI, but also now in the country and the hold the play before. It was like two Hail Mary's that kind of were both caught, but I was. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. 50%. Go ahead. It all it depends on is how Wisconsin, North Carolina and SMU play out. Say Notre Dame beats SMU because that's what they'll be. And imagine all of this chaos where there's losing going on in the SEC, the college football playoff rankings coming out each and every week. There's just going to be so much movement to where they'll be positioned where they get there. They get their legal
We're in the top 12. They're automatically in. - Oh, by the way. - They're position perfectly for that. - Right, right. Especially if they lose on a last second field goal. And Miami is the number one. 'Cause my, another name's only losses will be to these last final plays against, right now, the number one and number two teams in the country. - That's two years ago for them. - That's two years ago. Their loss was A&M and Miami. Or was that last year? - Last year, last year. - But then the question which I thought was valid is, okay, yeah, those are good losses. But that resume only sounds right if you have some really quality wins to go along with it. - But Josh, A&M and Miami, they weren't the number one and number two teams in the country. - I know that. - But Miami was on the list. - They were ranked in the teams. Like if Miami wins out, like does their thing, and Notre Dame has those losses to, you know, public perception rankings, one and two, it's not A&M who was kind of like, we're sitting there, they lose games, SEC teams, over 500 are only win games against teams under 500. And then Miami who lost to SMU and Louisville. Like if this is a Miami team that stays number one and stays in the top five, that's where it's like that argument is a little bit different. - Your argument, you have to check two boxes in that category. The first box you have to check is quality losses. Like Miami has to handle business. A&M, they're only lost in the regular season was their Texas, right, at the end of the year. - Yeah, those boxes will be checked. - Those boxes are checked done. Like if you looked at the regular, rest their schedule, the other 10 games is like, you didn't really, you didn't really plan anything. - But it's not a head-to-head, Miami should have paid like the season 'cause you're trying to put a point. Everyone's still like, it's not good enough. - Both of them last year were arguing that they needed to be in due to the head-to-head. Miami won't even be close to that situation on looking at a head-to-head game to get in. - Yeah, I don't mean a head-to-head. I mean a three-loss Texas being compared to a two-loss Notre Dame. And Texas is like, okay, we both have two losses. We have like four better wins, or Ole Miss says, we have three better wins than you. They're gonna be right when they say that. Notre Dame's not gonna have a high quality win to hang their head on. To me, the good losses argument is valid if it goes along with, oh and by the way, we beat number 10. We beat number 13. They're not gonna have that. They're sitting here. Fingers crossed, counting on SMU to stop not losing anymore. They're counting on Wisconsin to hopefully be like seven or eight wins instead of five or six wins. They're counting on, I mean, who else are we talking about? North Carolina. Like that's the situation you'd be in. If you're a Notre Dame fan, you're hoping Bill Belichick has a better season than average. So we can say, hey, our wins weren't quite as soft as people thought they were. I just don't think the resume's gonna hold up. And that's even bacon in the edge that I think perceptionally they would get 'cause a lot of people think they got screwed last year. - Does it not feel like that the AP poll made that adjustment? I know they're different. College football bracket playoffs than the AP, but they are very aligned. Like the, I think we looked at the first week that it came out and as they're all very similar. Having Notre Dame in that four slot right now. Like if they drop another one, it's that close. They're not gonna go below what, eight? - I, yeah, I mean, it's crazy that they only drop the four. - That's where it's so different is Notre Dame lost two in a row. Or like the first two games last year, dropped it down like there was like the only team of those two games. - I think they were still ranked two to five from the year. - Yeah, so they had to like kind of crawl back. They lose a very close game to the number one team in Miami. And then the next question is how much is the AP poll or college football put weight on the ACC team? Being the number one team is opposed to an SEC or a big 10 team. They dropped to eight. Like they can just coast the rest of the way. And if you have that last SMU game. - I think he's right. If there's three lost SEC, I know you said Texas, but if there's three lost SEC team, is one or two of these three lost SEC teams that are, you know, there's multiple two lost teams and they're arguing to get in. I just think there's gonna be a pocket, a group of three lost SEC teams to where you're gonna have multiple. I like, I have up to three still getting in. You know what I mean? To where, yeah, I-- - Who are you three you got going on the SEC? - Right now, I have, I have Georgia. - Champion. Ole Miss, Tennessee, and who did I have? - Kentucky, Alabama. - No, not Kentucky. It's Bama or LSU. - South Carolina. - Like right now I have Bama. Then a couple of weeks from Bama and LSU plays, I think that is-- - That's gonna be the game. - It's a big game. - Whichever team is hotter on that day, is gonna have the run to where, again, I have them, I have them all as like three lost teams. I think those two games happen at the same time, by the way. Miami, Notre Dame, Bama, LSU, happen at the exact same time. - No way. - Yeah, same night, same time. - You don't have Kentucky plays Vanderbilt. They got, they're at Tennessee. We'll see if they lose a Tennessee. But then you got Florida, which Florida's shown, they can be hot and cold. You have no idea what's gonna happen there. You're coming off the lost. It's the whole pissed off team situation. And then Mizzou, who just got their ass beat, that's Ole Miss. - Yeah, they'll see. - They're all, they're all-- - Yes, yes, yes, they're all standing, all holding a gun. - I'm sorry. - Like, at the end of the day, you gotta pick who you think's gonna come out. And yeah, I like, I, I, I, you know what makes you go away from Kentucky though. - I don't know. - I guess, you said Georgia, just the over, go ahead. - Oh shit. - Marilyn as far as Mike Loxley. As first reported on this show, about 30 minutes ago. - Moment of silence. The first domino has fallen. - Chaos. The moment we're coffins is I want chaos. Look what happens. - Team, we gotta go 10 seconds. - They got to go 10 seconds. - Anything into existence that doesn't involve the brass band. - Yeah, it's like in Kentucky, Vanderbilt. They'll win that one. - Yep, at Tennessee, at Neelan. - L. - And then you got Florida. - We'll just, you know, broad stroke. - Like, don't know what I'm taking, when I'm taking Tennessee and making it into the play. - If you look at it as if we're the season, you know, we have this sample size. It's a Tennessee, Florida, Mizzou and Louisville. That's their last four game stretch. - But like, yes, it's winable. - Florida and Mizzou, they have numbers next to their name, but are they teams that like, well, were they scared of? - Good, no. Oh, no, I'm not scared of them. - Yeah. I mean, Mizzou just got held a 39 rush yards against Ole Miss. - Which is crazy. - Ole Miss French shout out. - The most typical, surprising result out of all this stuff last week. - Yeah. - All these upsets, when historians look back at week seven, they'll go, yeah, Notre Dame fell. Yeah, Bama fell, yeah, Georgia fell. Ole Miss held Missouri to 39, rushing. - And that's where we knew it was off the rails. - Yeah. - I was most excited about it. I'm like, yeah, what a, when the field will kick or miss that one, we're standing in Texas Tech. And it was only 14 to three. And I want to say the field will kick or miss like a five yards field goal. - Right, a little bit longer than that. - Part of the field goal. - I look at Codium mid-term games over it. Like, you can't, like that. - Oh, it's old. - It's done. - It is, the SEC is just, it's fastening right now. - I have one quick question, then get to your picks. Josh made me think about Wake Forest. What if they win out? It's Miami Wake in the ACC championship and Miami sits their players and lets Wake win. - Well, let's, and if there's anything I know about Mario Crestable, it's that he's a little soft and non-competitive. So I could easily say that. - There would be no advantage to them winning that game though. They beat him head to head regular season conference championship. The CFP already said doesn't have that much weight. And then it would, it would get an SEC team or a big 10 team out of the playoff. - There's no dumb questions. - Let's start with that. - Like, maybe questions alludes to your intelligence, but no dumb questions. - Like, we're like, oh, we had to figure out why he decided to ask that question. - Yeah. - Oh, hold on, sorry. - Yeah, what is it? Oh no. - All right. - Oh, shit. - Yeah, you guys look good this year. Yeah, he's up here. - Ask him, okay. Hey, Jake Dickard wants me to ask you, what if you throw all that in the garbage and they just beat Miami outright without him sitting players? - They lost 33-20 when they played on the regular season. - You're saying, who took Miami to overtime last week? - Oh no. - He said a florist take it, take him to overtime, they could beat him. - All right. - I'm with you. - He's with you. (laughing) - You said it easy. All right, good luck this week, man. Yeah, I saw you up fired. (laughing) - Go ahead, man. - Yeah, this is the best time to ask questions. (laughing) - He asked that question. I felt pretty good about mine. But like that whole conversation you guys just had is basically a move point whenever we go to the 2014 playoffs. So it just kinda like decay us and you guys, we all want is why it should have stayed at a 12, or if you wanna move up to a 16, I think the 24 playoff team, you guys talk about the last week on bus and the papers, like the worst thing for a college football. - I salute him. - Yeah, I hand over my heart. - Not a question, definitely a statement, but a good one in the last. - It's a world view as well. - So we're kinda over two. (laughing) Still a good statement, that's a good statement. - Yeah. - I gotta go. (laughing) That was the best time to ask a question. - Who's gonna win Indiana Michigan? - What's your pick? - Oh Michigan. - You shouldn't do so. - Yeah, we can get it. - Oh, guys. - We can have fun talking ball. - We gotta run through what you mean. - My futures, I just saw my win toe. - I've got a knife. - Hey. - I'll be fine, I'll be fine. - All right, all right. - Run through, all right, Texas A&M, under eight and a half. That one's gonna catch. Tennessee, over seven and a half. - You're good. - Vandy under five and a half. - I believe. - I feel confident in that. When Penn State, under nine and a half, sorry, Jesse. Nebraska over six and a half. That one is going to cash. Texas take over ten and a half.
Sorry, I got something in my eye. - Thanks, let's take over 10 and a half. Feel good about it right now. Still feel good about that one. Kansas under five and a half. That one's gonna catch up to everybody. - There's fat in it. - If they can, it's gonna be a dud. Miami over 10 and a half. You got to feel good looking at that one. Louisville over eight and a half. That one's probably gonna lose. No cash out available. - Did you have to save? - Stanford under three and a half. Right now they're sitting at three wins. Now is when they lose out. Now is when we hold on to our asses and they lose out. - I feel good, they're not favorites in any other games. - Did Stanford. Stanford under three and a half. - The Polos, congrats you got Hawaii. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - I accidentally hit over three and a half in Fandall. - So I need to cash that because I got a little profit and then I'm gonna take them losing out for the rest of the year. But that's Willie C's future picks that they're- - Is it gonna go back over there? I can sing it a little bit. Michigan guy beat cancer and you're betting against him. - Yeah, well look. - He hit the gong, like you're gonna hold it. - I'm gonna lose here, it's no way. - Dude, now he run the bell. - Did he run the bell? - That's the one bell. - Is that not a big enough W? - It's a huge W. He already got it. - But it's a team game. - He's already got it. - It's a team game. It's a team game. - Quick potty break from the episode. Whether I'm at a tailgate, we're on the couch watching Nebraska or Michigan versus Indiana this weekend. On a Saturday, Jack Daniels is a staple on my game day roster. You can expand your playbook with the cinnamon kick of Jack Fire, the smooth taste of Jack Honey, the crisp and refreshing Jack Apple and the only blackberry bursting with Jack personally. I am a Jack Honey type of guy. Very smooth, very delicious. On game day, no matter how you stack your unit, there's a Jack for every football fan. Let's get back to the episode. - All right, let's get in. Let's dive in. - All right, let's dive in. Indiana Michigan. Michigan is dogs by seven and a half points. - At home. - At home. - Nuts, total net game is 41 and a half. I want to know where you guys stand. - With you, what do you mean? - With the points. - I'm probably going to take under 41 and a half. Is that right? - 41 and a half. - I just said it. - 41 and a half. - Yeah, 41 and a half, that's one. - Love Michigan's defense. - You said it enough. I want to know what he has to say. - No, I just said it. - Hey, thank you. - Hey, guess who else was seven and a half under dogs at home? - Nebraska, Nebraska. But, hey, you guys lost. What the fuck are we going to get exactly? - You still won with the points. - True. - I'm saying in this situation, like me taking the under and you probably feel this way as well. It's like Tommy Carr. This is a very good defensive line. A very good defensive unit in Indiana. I love Michigan's defense. I think Michigan's defense keeps him in the ball game. It all comes down to Tommy Carr in his first actual career start against this defense. Can they move the ball? Can they keep it close? - Yeah. - They're all under 41 and a half. - Oh please, bro. Like, of course I want. - We want to show you what. What's your microscopic computer say about this game? - It thinks the line is right. So it doesn't say anything. Sure has made a lot of money this year. Imagine how much she could make if it was big. - I am going to take the over on this game. Because I don't think the offensive profile and reputation of Michigan could be any lower. Like, that's what's baked into that number. I also just have a theory that Indiana's passing game can produce more than what it's produced. Like, offensively, I think they can produce a little bit more. So I'm not going to get sucked into a Brigham Young Notre Dame under type trap again. I don't think this flies over the total. But I think it's going to go over the total. So I'm going to go two units over 41 and a half. As for the game itself, I lean Indiana to win the game. But I think it'd be a. Actually, I'd probably lay the seven and a half if I had to. I think they'll win by like 10. - He's kind of saying that Indiana might just cover the over. - Yeah, he took the over. He gave one small little compliment to Michigan that I hung on to for most of it, blocked out. And then he came back to Indiana's score 40. - What compliment did I give to Michigan? - There is under the radar if an offense is they could possibly. - Yeah, all you need to say is that. - Yeah, that's what that offense is. - And they're baking that in. And it couldn't be worse. - He's saying maybe the offense hasn't been tapped yet, they're very undervalued. - Yeah, that's basically all he said. - Right. - You're going to score. You're going to score. - We're going to score. - We're going to say in a field goal or two. - No, he's not. He might be. - 35 to 10. - You don't believe in Tommy Carr? - It gets me by hope. I believe in it more than Bryce Underwood. - That's Massey towards Bryce, but. - Brands out of Boycar. - Do you want to disagree with that statement? Do you want to say you were bummed out when Tommy Carr got put in that game? - I'm about winning games, dude. Listen, I don't look at stats, actually with Bryce Underwood stats. I'm just going to look on it. But I try not to look at stats 'cause at the other day, I just want to win. I just want my program to go in there and take care of business. - Who gives you a better chance to win? - Right, Tommy Carr. You five for seven for 46 yards. You kidding me? - That's pretty nasty towards Bryce. - That's pretty nasty. - That's the option. - That's a Michigan Wolverine quarterback. Get your trash in right now. - Downhill running. They didn't change a whole lot. It's in the right now, which everybody had Michigan hates. And they were operating like 8.7 yards per carry. - That's like they're going to score this week. - They're going to score this week, dude. Signity. - Two game losing streak. - You know what? - Potential two game losing streak coming. - I'm pulling a wheel here. I'm not going to give a signity or that media team. - Smart. - Any bit of bull to bull. - Smart. - The fact that they came up to Will at Nebraska and then once again, we're in Vienna. - Yeah. - That's not, I don't want that. - And worse than that, the strict staff from two and three years ago came up to you at Tennessee. - Yeah. - They've had you all know. - If they pass us over you for a while. - I'll be surprised if there's just a print it up photo of me hanging up in an office. - Yeah. - Indian is a better football team. As of right now, they're the better touch team. They have the better offense. The only thing that Michigan might apply as an edge in is the defense. - And home field. - And home field. And home field. - Nebraska had them on the ropes in Lincoln. - Nebraska, I looked at the edges of that stadium and I saw people. - I saw the edges of the stadium in that Penn State game and I saw bleachers. And that kind of broke my heart a little bit. And that's just where we're at right now. - It did bring his heart like he had the game going. And he's like, "Hey, did you see that?" I'm like, "No, what are you talking about?" He's like, "Look, look, look past the players." Empty bleachers. - Yeah. It's hurt. - Yeah. - For the sake of, I'll tell you what I'm, my sports book and on my community, I'll have Michigan money on. - For the sake of this show. I'm gonna take Michigan plus seven and a half. - Do me all you want, dude. - That's why you're over there. I'm taking Michigan. - Oh, great. - I'm taking Michigan plus seven and a half. - Some people are beat out. - Sometimes you kick one out, you gotta pull the trigger but everyone kinda does this for a second. You gotta pull the trigger and everyone goes, "All right, we're all on for a second." Michigan plus seven and a half. - I will be betting Michigan money on. It's just, we did this with Oklahoma. - So, it's a lightning struck. - I'm gonna stand in the same spot and ask lightning to strike again. I have a first year quarterback who weighs 187 pounds, going into that defense. I would love nothing more than to feel stupid walking in here 'cause Michigan blew them out. And we're like, "Oh, you could've got more units." I would love that situation. But we've got such a sample size of what's happened and a bunch of question marks of what could happen. So, I just have to lean on the idea of Michigan plus seven and a half. Can't believe they're giving us more than a touchdown and just hope to God. Kurt Signetti, hell of a coach. Unbelievable. Not gonna say anything nasty. - Two losses could still get him in. - Two losses could still get him in, but that's it. I have three units. I wanna move on so bad. - Plus seven and a half. - The lawns pick. - Yep. - Michigan with the points. - Of course. - LSU at Auburn, I don't know how we pick up the energy after that. - LSU at Auburn. LSU favored by seven and a half. The total on this game is 50 and a half points. - You remember? - I smell a blood bath. - Do you really? - I smell his blood. - I smell his blood. - Do you after them? - Oh my. - I don't think so. - No. - I think it's the other way around. LSU leads the, or not leads the country. 27 sacks. Jordan Ross. Oh, I'm blowing it. I'm blowing it right now. What's his last name, Jesse? - Who? - Umanyam. - Umanyam. - Umanyam. - Umanyam. - Umanyam. - There you go. - Him and Jordan Ross collectively. Like 45 pressures. You look at Auburn, Byron Brown. He's an easy sack. He's been sacked 23 times this year, where they give up the most pressure. It's on the outside at both tackles. They've given up 23 pressures on the year. That's where they get their ass handed to him. I think they're going to sack Byron Brown. And I think too, Auburn doesn't generate a whole lot of pressure. Sam Levin is a completely different quarterback when he's got a clean pocket. So I like LSU here. I think this is a, I think they handle business. I'm going to go, I'm going to go five units. LSU might be seven and a half against Auburn. - No respect. - No, Jordan Hare Stadium. I'm with you though. I think LSU is going to win and cover. Not to five unit degree. J people came out last night. Ton of chaos, ton of carnage. Sneakily LSU up to six. So the model is hard core leaning in on LSU. Don't you have to think if the entire season looks like this, which it has for a lot of these teams. There's some team that has looked bad that's going to end up in the final four. And you're going to look back and say, man, I never would have expected this team to make it this far if we would have said that in late October. Kind of Miami last year. They've already lost a Louisville SMU. What if I told you at that point, [BLANK_AUDIO]
going to play for a national title. That would have been pretty crazy. Yeah. Uh, it's just who catches gear at the right time. And you got a big let down spot for Auburn here. Uh, I don't, I don't know. It's not that I don't think the situational leans LSU. I am hesitant believing in LSU on the road. They've been a way different team on the road than at home, not to mention with Byron Brown. They ran him a ton last week. It's almost like they said, Hey, if this is what it takes to win with him, then this is what it takes to win with him. I don't know that sustainable week over week. I think Blake Baker will be pretty ready for that. But like the LSU fans biggest gripe is what happens to our defense on the road? Like what happens to this team on the road? That's why I'm only going two units on this. But I will go two units on LSU minus seven and a half. Uh, Link, if in 500 as a head coach on the road, he's owing to this year Auburn does, I think that in the 130s as far as sacks given up, LSU does a great job of getting pressure. And I don't think Auburn is better than Georgia. Like I think we play that game 10 more times. You know, George probably going to win 10 of them scheduled dynamics. But Byron Brown, the one thing he did last week that was great was take care of the football. He didn't give the football to the other team. They've caught that. If they're going to be successful because he does, he'll have like x plays down the field and he'll just get you to a receiver and it's 45, 50 yards. And it looks beautiful. And then he'll throw like a bubble screen or a little slide over the middle. And it's like a muffin that just hits the dirt. So there's a lot of inconsistency and inconsistency. If they're going to be successful at home against LSU, it's going to be the similar game point that had against Georgia. Run them, exhaust them, be extremely aggressive. Get a turnover defensively over. Get a turnover. Sam level will give you those. And LSU has been completely different on the road. I'm going to do Auburn plus seven and a half. I'll do three units on that. Do I feel very confident about it? No, I said last week. Three is my new one medium confidence. No, no, three is my new one. Three is my new one low confidence. Low confidence. There's a low confidence. I have high confidence. Three is out there. But right now, there's my low confidence. And that makes complete sense. So I'll take Auburn plus seven and a half. 11 a.m. kickoff by the way here. Morning kickoff. What does that mean? I'm asking you because I don't know. I just hit myself on the visual pumping. You think of LSU. You think of tigers. You think in nighttime. Yeah. I feel like they get up at night. They beat Mississippi State 31 0 at 11 a.m. No, come on. That's a good point. Yeah. That's a good point. And you knew that they had a good run. You definitely gave me one of them. And I really appreciate the punch. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Houston at Utah. Utah favored by six and a half points. Total points that game is 56 and a half low. Really see your notes. It's a counter-wagman. That does. I know. But I know we're wanting to run through these picks. High slivered game in college football. The winner of this game will have over a 50% chance if somebody who ever loses this game drops them below 25%. He stakes this weekend in college football. Connor, most productive quarterback in the big 12. He's been dominant. Good run game. Good run game. But you're going up to Utah. Yep. Utah runs the football very well. They have a very good defense. They're allowing only 13 points per game. Here's a whole thing with Houston. If you can limit possessions with this team because Connor Wagman, he has been an absolute stud over a 50% clip on converting their third downs. Oklahoma State couldn't get it done last week. Oklahoma State defense. Bad. Houston offense. Good. Yeah. Right here. If you talk and just limit opportunities run the football control the clock, keep Connor Wagman on the sideline and you get these guys below 10 possessions. UCF tried to do it. They only allowed five possessions in the first half. UCF was up 10 nothing. Second half, Houston gets seven shots at it. 27 17. Texas tech. They gave up seven possessions in the first half. They were down 17 14. You go into the second half and you hold this team to limit them to four possessions. They end up winning that football game. Houston had the opportunity. Didn't get the two point there at the end. If Utah is built to win this game and to do just that and up in Utah, I like Utah here in this spot. I'm going to go Utah minus six and a half. Give me two units on that. Not the most confident game. Not the most confident about it. But that would be the path. Yeah, Utah stats. They look incredible. Especially off the side of the ball. You put the film on very difficult to even know what they're doing at any time. Like you have Dave here. And then you got your backup quarterback in the saw. And then he had a defensive tackle over an eff alignment. And then the ball goes five different directions and they they've gassed you for a 30 yard run. Very impressive. The thing that gives me hesitation on Utah is that they haven't played anybody just yet. Houston's kind of been through the meet grinder a little bit. Texas Tech, they take them down to the wire, have just a wrist worth of a gap before where they could have won that game. Also Oklahoma State kind of wagmented five touches in that game. He didn't. He had a hard fought a motion. Get an interception. The first game and the first drive against Oklahoma State. Other than that, he's taking care of the football. He's been incredible. Great run game. Utah's going to try to make them one dimensional. I like Houston here. I like just because they've been forged in a fire a little bit more. They took what we thought was a big battle wolf, the B12 down to the wire in that game. So I'll take them plus six and a half. I'm going to do a confident three on that one. Confident. That's a confident three. You better slap a table. Yeah, I need about 20 seconds here. I think Houston's better than Utah. I think they got a better staff than Utah. I think they got a better quarterback than Utah. I've loved them on the road all year. I'll take Houston plus six and a half five units. It's going to be a great edit when you go down. I've had this one circled really. Yeah, I think this is a really good spot for Houston. I like that big one here. I may in my personal life. It's in there. Really thin. That's what happened to us last week. It's very difficult to go make swings like. Yeah, yeah, North Dakota State at New Mexico. New Exos favorite minus four and a half total net game is 41 and a half points. Both these teams, what they want to do, they want to run the ball. They want to get after it. They want to run the ball. New Mexico leads the country in interceptions. They lean the country in turn of a margin. They're a number five and forced fumbles. So North Dakota State. It's very clear. You have to take care of the football. If you want to keep yourself in this game, I think this is a low scoring affair. This is for defense of sickos. I'm going to go under 41 and a half points here. All right. And I will go medium confident three. I thought three was the new one. So medium would be. You obviously haven't been listening. There was the non-confident three and then there was the very confident. This is a true three. This is not true. Okay. This is a down the middle. And it's two times. I've gone at somebody on the show and I kind of believe it's because of you. Yeah. I don't want to point it myself. I got for a bit. I would never want to do that. But yes, under 41 and a half. Give me new Mexico. Top five in all fans. Top five in defense as far as scoring goes. If this was in Fargo, I'd love North Dakota State here going on the road in New Mexico. And then head coach just stripping the belt from his defensive players. I just I love I kind of love that. So I'm going to go New Mexico here minus four and a half. Give me three units. If that new Mexico fan base is worth its salt. If that new Mexico fan base is what I know they can be, they'll sell this game out. They should sell this game out. It should be a sell out of now the curky clip that. Okay. Now as for the game, I think New Mexico is going to win and cover here. I hate North Dakota State screwed this up because we could have been at this game. Yeah. Had they not gotten mulled. Dan Mullin scored 13. And that was enough on him. And Dan Mull was bragging about that win. It's like you didn't win because of offense. What are you talking about? So I think New Mexico can hold them. And I think scored just enough here. I don't know about the total. You may be right on the total. I'm not going to mess with the total. I'm going a true medium confidence three unit New Mexico minus four and a half. Medium confidence three. A true three. Yes. A true three. A true three. A true three. Gravely game of the week. We're ripping through it right now. Uh, Tennessee at South Carolina. This is where bus and a paid on campus will be. Yes. Yeah. I don't think you should. It's going to be an absolutely electric. Um, tell us how to Carolina, by the way, really promoting the boys promoting us since Monday, since, since Josh Payton revealed that he was going there for his don't trade on. Uh, in the fall through. I keep it the totally different. And it's like, Oh, shit, Josh is going there. I wonder where the boys are having. Sure enough. And aligned yet again. All right, boys, real quick. Just want to tell you about a profit boost token that you can use to boost your winnings on Saturdays, Tennessee versus South Carolina matchup. And with the locker room profit boost token, a big win can get that much bigger. Download the app or head to fandall.com/busson to learn why Fandall is making this college football season your most rewarding yet. Um, this game South Carolina crazy, favored by two and a half total net game is 15 and a half points. Open though. Well, it's not how it open. We have Tennessee. Tennessee was favored public. I don't know that the public moves a number that much. So what happened? Some legit money moved it. Oh, I think someone looked and said, well, you tell me one team's playing their eighth game in a row coming off on emotional letdown spot against arrival last week. And another team was in bed all weekend at home in October. I think some people realized schedule dynamic nightmare here, just like Georgia had themselves and against Auburn last week. People are saying that this is going to be our biggest crowd yet for bus and then paid on campus on Friday. Are you buying that? Do you think that's going to happen? You think that's a lot of the way. Yeah, I'm fully bought it on the bus. I don't want that on the bus. That's on the bus for cocktails. Great question. Best crowd yet. If it's not, you know who's got to wear that reputation. Yeah. Darius Rucker and T. P. Hobie. Yeah. Darius Rucker just came out with a song called I believe.
- That ain't no coincidence. (laughing) - With that in mind, I'm taking South Carolina plus two and a half for four units. - Minus two and a half? - Yeah, minus two and a half for four units. Yeah, I actually really like him in this. - It's really confident, it's a really confident three. - Well, if I were making the case for Tennessee, I would say, yeah, all the schedule dynamics, whatever. We run the ball really well, and we can play really, really good defense. And that's all true, so I think it's gonna be, it's gonna be like a meat grinder of a game, but man, watching South Carolina get their act together against Florida, where their stars finally played as stars, and the whole deal with Dylan Stewart, like him getting suspended from that team, and obviously the come to Jesus moment happened, and they bring him back, he played 70 something plays against Florida, he just never comes off the field, like all their guys started playing like those guys are supposed to play, and then imagine the momentum you take into the by-week. And Tennessee's rolling in here playing their eighth straight. Look, last week, notwithstanding, I still don't trust the quarterback play for Tennessee, so if they can control this game, what they control, Bama, okay. But if South Carolina can pop them early, which South Carolina's been prone to do this year, and make them play and trail a little bit, Tennessee can give the ball up too. So I love South Carolina. I think the home atmosphere at Williams-Brice stadiums, always the most underrated in college football, and coming out of the by, they are ready to flex this weekend. Low 70s, sunshine, mid afternoon kickoff, where the second half is with the sun setting, fading into night, which I think is the perfect time slot for college football game. It is a South Carolina weekend. - Is the Bama weekend last weekend, too? - That's true, Jake. - Oh. - That's true. - God. - I know. - I'm going Tennessee money line. I'm going three units. It is, it's almost like, at what point do you get off the Mario go round and knowing, all these let down spots happen? I agree with you, the quarterback plays still a massive question mark for Tennessee. But when I'm watching McIntyre try and deal, to me, it's like when he's in the film room positionally, he's just so urgent in his play that he's missing a couple reads. I just think once he settles down, now that they got a massive win against Alabama, you feel that juice, you feel that win. I think McIntyre, he's definitely on tap, but I think he gets going a little bit more. Once he just settles his body, his urgency down and his feet down to hang on to a couple reads a little bit longer. I think South Carolina is going to have trouble blocking this Tennessee front. And if you get into a spot where you need to tie it in and the running back to stay in a pass pro, and then you're only, you know, that Jim knows defense is only dealing with three guys, you know, on the perimeter or over the middle. I think that's where it becomes an issue. Because if they're able to, if they're able to block the front and Lenora Sellers makes you miss a couple times, extends a few plays, that's where you're going to get some massive cocktail bar juice going into Williams-Brice stadium. I just don't see it happening. I like Tennessee here. I'm going to take a money line. I'm going to go three units. Wouldn't it be kind of three? It's a good three. Give me four units. Oh, wow. So you could have just said confident three. I know, I know. I know. I know. Yeah. I either want to get in a hole here, or I'm coming for all your asses up top. I'm going to leave you in. I have this conversation on the plane. Oh, yeah. We already know what the deal is. I can't go against Tennessee three times in a row, such a big part of our fan base. They've been so good to us, and I've done nothing, but just spit in their face. Two times at the two opportunities that I've had. I'm going to go Tennessee. I'm going to go Tennessee money line here. I do like the total of this game. I do like the under, because both teams like to run the ball. The biggest thing that swayed me away from South Carolina is, yes, they jumped up early, and they fizzled out in a second half. The thing that gets me is what South Carolina are we going to see? Because Nick Harbor has all of the tools in the entire world to be successful, except for the ability to consistently catch the football. Like Lenora Sellers is an absolute alien. But all of a sudden, it's turnover prone. Both teams love to run the ball. The sharned base up. It's his harbor. A couple of them guys just dropped the damn one. I know. But you look at Harbor, your life. Brimler screen hits him in the chest, drops. [LAUGHTER] I think Dylan Stewart is a massive factor in this game. We saw it with Simmons in the Texas game. I just-- Stewart will pull it out. I can tie our kind of look nice. I can't look nice in a second half in the game. He made a couple of good throws. He had a good game. And he can just take things that the defense gives him. He doesn't have to make shots. They have a quality run game. And Josh Hyple figures out where your offensive issues are. And he fixes them in a week to week time. Sometimes I have time. So I'm going to go Tennessee. It's a sad three. Oh. Because I would love to go Tennessee. I would love to have the quote of Tennessee plus two and a half, but South Carolina always a game. But I just have to be full. I have to be full of GBO. I can't do it to Jack as many times as I have. We haven't been to Vegas. So we can kind of refuel our friendship in a while. So I could feel us foundationally falling apart. I'm straight up. I wish I could slap the table on this game. Because I know GP wants back against the wall mentality. Yeah, need that. Last time we went to Tennessee. Everyone to Columbia Taylor Road, Tennessee also. What? Make no mistake. Our backs are against the wall. Hey, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I got here just a second ago. I may not be here long, but I'm here right now. Hey, the stuff that Neil and Stadium put Keelan Russell through last week, no concern in William's Bryce Stadium put in George McIntyre through that. Yeah. I'm terrified for him. Yeah, absolutely, but I like you're sleeping on our fan basis. The Tennessee's not walking into this game being like, we got McIntyre. It's got to toss it around the yard right now. He's sleeping on us. Hey, don't be like this. Hey, I'll go for you. I'll go for it. I got exactly what I wanted out of that. OK, exactly what I wanted out of that. We're going to have Josh in their shirt off, sandstone. I need a towel. Should we get to our dogs before we get to our dogs? Listen, I've had a lot of faking on this show. And I'd like to just go back to the first pick real quick. I'm going to go make you get money. Yeah, I'm going to go Michigan money. I just can't. I was trying to be responsible. I was trying to be the guy that's, hey, I'll take points and they gave it, hopefully. I'm going Michigan money line five units. I can't do five. I've guilty five. This is a guilty five. This is the Titanic. They realize the Titanic's going down. And the captain goes to open the door to go sit and watch the water come. And he has that moment of, I could really just get on a lifeboat and be like straight for the next 20 years, couldn't I? But he made the right choice. And although I faltered at the door, I'm still going to go in and take that death if I have to. Yeah, I'm still absolutely telling you. I'm the dude who pushed the women and children out of the way and set there in shame. You're the guy and shot the guy. I'm the one. You're the guy and shot the dude. That was it. We get to shore. No one knows what happened out there. He's got killed as an international waters. Look, what do you hear about that? Exactly. Yeah. All right, dog of the week. Arizona State splattered last week in Texas. We got to see it. They're playing Kansas State. They got three and a half points in this. I believe in dealing him. Give me them. I know it's only one unit, but I'll just say one unit. It could be five unit of sure we'll do five, but it's only one. We kind of believed in them before they took the field last week. I think, I think we both believe what was going to happen. I didn't know it was going to be that bad. I didn't think it was going to be that bad, but I think I have to be the best. Three scores. It's like, it's all just there. That's an aspect you take that when you're on the bus, is your audio grip? Like, because you're getting over it in the third core, like, holy shit, they did that to us. They're running it up. Yeah. Even in games, you sit there, and you're in the soul. If I was like, fuck, they beat the shit out of us today. By the time you're in the shower, you're like, all right. We're going to be all right. We're going to be okay. Who we got? Kansas State. I'm going to go classic letdown spot. I'm going to take UCF plus six and a half versus BY. Love it. BY you massive emotional win-out program. They got to fly all the way to Florida. I like UCF here plus six and a half as my dog of the week. UMass plus 14 and a half against UConn pure model play. First game I bet Sunday, that in South Carolina, where the two games I bet on Sunday, don't know why, but I love UMass. I think that's a Friday or a Thursday game. It's not a Saturday game. UMass plus 14 and a half against UConn. Love that. All right. Weekly Parallel Ace. Josh got another three piece, and I kind of like it. Where's it? Ole Miss Money Line. Houston Money Line. Votek Money Line. Plus 14, 28. That's the total. That's a nice looking Parallel. I feel okay about it. Man, I got scientific with mine. I might have been touching yours. You almost doubled mine. But I'll go. Arizona Alt Spread minus six and a half versus Iowa State. Northwestern Alt Spread minus nine and a half versus Rutgers. SMU Alt Spread minus 13 and a half versus Cal. West Virginia TCU Alt Over 54 and a half. Boise State, Washington State, over. Alt, Alt Over 49 and a half plus 799. Yeah. That's it. That's that galvanac. That's the escalator, dude. Yeah. Alabama, Texas State.
A&M under 53 and a half North Western get right spot survived Michigan state last week. I got them all line minus 12 and a half verse Rutgers. Oki State get back spot versus Colorado minus 11 and a half. Oki State there and then three teams. Money line LSU Oklahoma Kentucky. That is plus 10 14. I realized what I did wrong in the financial freedom parlay last week. I didn't add our dogs the week into the parlay. So the financial freedom parlay this week will be all of our beds plus the dogs the week. No guarantees. You can't do it. But I mean, you got to feel pretty good about that one. Stay tuned. See in the community. We feel good. Feel great. Josh, you feel good? I feel good. I got a hot one rich eyes on right now. Buss and a pain on campus Friday. Columbia, South Carolina. God. Go Cox. Go Cox. Big Cox. Go Cox.
