The Locker Room - CFB Week 10 Picks: Josh Pate & Will Compton SPLIT On Miami vs. Notre Dame + Taylor Lewan HAMMERS LSU

Walter Isaacson introduces *The Builders*, a new podcast examining the future of AI through interviews with key innovators like Elon Musk and Alex Carp, addressing concerns about AI manipulation and human control. He also shares a personal story about his brother’s battle with pancreatic cancer, highlighting the need to transform public perception from pity to resilience. Meanwhile, other podcasts like *Get Worse with Kyle Pru* offer provocative content on dark themes, while *Bloomberg’s Big Take* dives into political and economic forces shaping U.S. politics. A major segment on college football explores the volatile rankings and playoff scenarios, emphasizing how the "deep state" of rankings may bias outcomes in favor of elite programs like Alabama and Texas. The analysis reveals that teams such as Missouri, Utah, and Ole Miss could surge into contention due to upsets or weak schedules. The episode underscores how college football’s final weeks are a high-stakes game of chaos, where one outcome can shift the entire playoff landscape. Ultimately, the conversation highlights unpredictability, fluidity, and the growing influence of data-driven decisions in sports and technology.

Bloomberg's Big Take podcast has everything you need to know about the most expensive midterms in US history, like the money being spent to control the Senate. Someone has been waiting to see how Trump will spend his big work just he was sitting on nearly half a billion dollars. How candidates are rewriting their party's playbooks, and how big business is throwing its money into the ring. There is obviously the AI Superpacks, which are two sides there, so they're spending sometimes on different sides of races, sometimes on the same side of races. It's a good job doing the average. It's our looking at it. It's been a big thing for you for 10 weeks. Incredible work there. This four liter board segment is brought to you by Ford. A hard day's work starts with one thing. Someone willing to do it and where there's a will, there's a Ford F series truck. Let's quickly just take a look at the four liter board. Quickly take a look at that, because obviously this is not the main topic of conversation at the beginning of this show. I never know what this is. We're Josh three negatives in a way, way, way, way, yeah, no, you're right. Oh, wait, that's. Keys to him in. Keys to zoom in. Nets on the right last weeks on the left. Yeah. Well, I'm net negative. Yeah. You've been close. You've been close. Yeah. You had a good week last week. You're almost at even. You lost 22 over two weeks, man. But big bounce back week. Big bounce back. Yeah. You needed that. You know, it killed me. I think my parlay, Michigan minus nine and a half dumb, who would have ever thought that they wouldn't be Rutgers by nine and a half points and then Ohio State. Yeah. Ohio State let us all down. Slot the table. Slot the table. Is there double. Roger. Do you sell the table on the house? No. Would you sell the table on Houston? I don't want to talk about that. Let's move. Okay. Yeah. You did bad too. Okay. I was getting distance across the board. Wouldn't you up like 40 units at one point, Josh? He was up 40. Listen. And when he rubbed in somebody's face, he's just, you know, the minute you spoke to the haters right there, clapping, they're loving the yodeling price is right and now you're just falling off a cliff, man. The way I like to look at it is first off, not to take flak from someone who's underwater right now. Okay. We'll not take criticism. Yeah. The way the way I love to think about it is I picture myself in week zero, uh, looking ahead to week 10. And if I tell myself in week zero, but you're going to be up nearly 18 units in week 10, that's a great year. I don't need to know that I was up 40 units in week six, it's all irrelevant. I don't need to know that some people waited until week seven to start following me and now they're probably destitute. I'm on the street. That's irrelevant to me. Yeah. I'm looking ahead. Tear the rear view mirror off. And to a volcanic Saturday, possibly the biggest Saturday of the modern era. I would say in our lives when he was up over 40 units, I said that Josh goes, I've already paid for Christmas. I think the words, I think the words 80 units is within range. What's that? We're words that came out. It wasn't range though. Yeah. At the time. And you, hey, you keep swinging who says you can't get back up there. One parlay. One parlay. One parlay. That's all you need, man. You need race at the end of the year, just like last year. We just don't want somebody to run away with this thing. That's what we don't want that. We don't want that. The last thing I want to do is win this handedly. Yeah. Yeah. Can I say how wonderful for a country we have? Our country is so amazing that last night, I go to get on Twitter and I see people talking about how the world is ending. And I thought they were talking about college football, they're talking about the midterms as well. But how beautiful is that you can get that messed up in this day and age because of this college football bracket that took place, huh? Let's take a peek at that. Take a little one away to get that thing right now, that's where I'm going to get it. What a world for 24. I just, 2014 playoff. Welcome this morning. I said, the world changed last night. Yeah, I did. And I know some people don't want us to talk about that on a sports show, but we got to talk about it. No other names number 11. No other names. No other names. No number 11. They're telling you right now, this is a play, this is a playoff game this weekend. Well, for one day, Notre Dame has to win or they're, it's done. How shocked are you when you saw that? The Notre Dame win? At 11, yeah. Not clearly, not clearly as shocked as I was at Bayamun, Texas sitting there at 5 and 7. Not even close. I agree. Do as shocked as I was. And then at 11, I thought, okay, they're, they're understanding. They're schedule and where they're at and this has to be a must win game if they don't do it because you brought it up last week with sconson SMU or two games and they shit down their way. So now there's no longer the argument of like quality, quality wins. Yeah. So you have to beat Miami's number one. You beat Miami. All the noise and everything around Notre Dame goes away. It's all over. They control their destiny. They lose and they're not sniffing the playoffs. Because they would just need anybody who might be ahead of them. They would need everybody to kind of shit that night. I mean, 12 to, 12 to 20. You can find all those teams in there, 12 to 21, can't leave a game caught. the way they're playing right now, but you look like I wasn't upset about Miami, not Georgia, Utah, like whether I Indiana, I understand when people get frustrated, but they're winning, they've lost one game in two years, then Alabama pops up. And that is as bias as it can possibly get. Hey, listen, I said it, I was talking about a video last night. Did you do a release last night? Tip of the cap to the deep state of college football. Like, they learned, they've gotten better, is what I'll say. 'Cause they learned from last year. Last year, it's like, oh, they went for it. Bama, how they went for it so courageously on fourth down against Auburn. They got pummeled in the SEC championship, where, you know, they stayed protected the entire time. They learned from that. They're like, all right, we're in a spot now, guys. If we want teams like Bama, the SEC bias is there, but it's not, it's not the way people think it is. It's favoritism. It's the favorite kids. It's Bama and Texas. They're letting them know, hey, we did our part. We, Bama, we got you at five. All you have left is LSU on the schedule. You can lose this weekend. You'll still be in it. 'Cause you got Chad Nuga, the Chad Dump gang coming to town. After Vanderbilt, and then you round it off with Auburn. And then with Texas, it's like, all right, Texas, we hear you. We hear you. You got Mizzou and LSU, two tough games for Texas. You can lose one of them. You can't lose both. We can't help you. Hands are tied. Right. But they're allowing them to lose. They're allowing Bama and Texas to lose one more game. Tennessee controls their destiny. LSU does obviously all these SEC teams that are in the top 25, dude. I don't know why Florida's still sitting there. Like they've stunk. They don't have a quarterback. But the deep data college football, I got to tip my cap to them. They, they are on their stuff this year. On trying to, we talked about it on bus and a paid last week. On the bus off the bus, stuff with three lost SEC teams. You know they're going to get, there's, there's that world right there in front of us. To where three, three of them can get in the college school and play off. Yes. Josh, I don't get why you're so upset when this is what you protest. This is respect. It's isn't anger. Oh, you respect them. This is respect to the high volume. Deep state, I see you from a mile away. But what's semantics to get Bama at five? Because you beat, who'd they beat? Kentucky. We too. Oh, South Carolina. Pre-Cocktober. Pre-Cocktober. You know, a Camario Taylor Bama, but also he was, he was banged up. Clearly heard during that game. Yeah. But hey, they're, they're telling, the deep state is telling you. We're going to, the power is in, winning, strength of schedule games, based off the metric that we created for strength of schedule. We're not valuing as much consistency and how you played recently, because Bama recently, the last three weeks, you got whooped, you got whooped by Tennessee. You lost in your backyard at Georgia. But after that game, you're like, okay, could Bama be a top 17? Yeah, they could be. They looked good. But you get physically taken against your will against Tennessee. Tennessee 13, that's laughable. And then you go and survive A&M. I know that Bama's injured. And I'm not saying Bama can't be a top five team in the country. I'm just saying, were we gotten to with these rankings? Bama at five is hilarious. Mm-hmm. Josh, you said they can afford to lose a game. Yes. You believe that? Yes. You believe Bama loses Saturday. Let's say close Saturday. You think they're still in no matter what? Yes. They went out. They got to be Chad Dumb gang. Chad knew he could come to test. That's not look over him. In state team. Yeah. I don't think that's accurate. I think a lot of Bama folks think that's accurate. I think a lot of people in general think that's accurate. And I understand the logic. Your number five. Your toughest game left is number 14. You've got to go on the road to play him. And so, um, let me just, let me just remind everyone what that resume is built on. The Alabama resume. The bulk of it is built on. You handled currently number six on the road. You handled currently number 21. That's great. As long as Kentucky and South Carolina keep winning, I agree with you. Bama could probably lose another game and still sneak in. Here's what people are failing to realize. That resume is very fluid. And there are two teams in Kentucky and South Carolina that normally aren't at the table this late in the year. That are very vulnerable to possibly falling off in November. So if Alabama loses Saturday. And that coincides with Kentucky drops a couple of games. South Carolina drops a couple of games. All the sudden their resume was built on sand. So there is a world where the same folks that are yelling at Bama fans right now are listening to Bama fans yell at them. Come late November. Because Bama folks will make the same argument Notre Dame folks made last year. And that is you told us by the way you ranked us that we could afford to lose, that we were in. And then the entire paradigm gets shifted against them. Now they could make all that moot if they just beat LSU Saturday. But if there are three lost teams, what I'm saying is I don't feel nearly as safe that they're just automatically in as everyone else seems to. Because I still think there's a lot of fluidity in the bulk of the resume right now. Like I think there's a world where you get to the end of the season and you're saying look at the way their resume looks now. What are you hanging your hat on? And if they were two lost team, it wouldn't matter. But if there are three lost teams, I think there's several other three lost resumes that could supersede Alabama's in that scenario. But the three lost resumes to the point of like three lost teams getting in from the SEC. There will be multiple three lost teams getting in. Here's your problem. If you're Alabama, here's your problem. You could potentially be thrown in a barrel where you're a three lost team along with Tennessee and a three lost team along with LSU and both of them in that scenario would have the head to head over you. And if you're being judged in the same bubble, they're going to bump up above you. So it becomes a question of how many SEC teams with three losses are we about to let in this thing? Who knows where it may not exist? You may just let all of them in. And then what happens with the ACC in the Bay 12? That's a great question. 'Cause now we're living a world where Wake Forest is within a striking distance. There is Red Hot as a team in the country. Who knows what happens with Miami and Notre Dame? Well, let's say Miami loses to Notre Dame this weekend. Notre Dame cements themselves in. Then Miami goes on a run and they make it to the ACC at the chip, which is most likely going to happen. Wake Forest does the same thing. And so you got Miami sitting at what? Five, six at that point. You have them sitting at five, six, and then Wake Forest and the outside looking at what Wake Forest wins the ACC. Yeah, they would both be in. They would both be in. And honestly, because I'm speaking, you guys are speaking. Then you got the Bay 12, which is Utah, BYU, and Texas Tech at this point in the game. Houston's out there, but I don't see a world where they get in. What if Texas Tech wins out? What if BYU loses to Utah? And now Utah and Texas Tech are playing the Bay 12 championship. And BYU is a two-loss team with a winner of Notre Dame who's in the playoffs. Yes, Josh Payton. Buddy, he'd be crazy with that. What if Brigham Young beats Utah Saturday? And then Utah takes them in the rematch in the Big 12 championship game. And Texas Tech just goes 11 and one. And they finish 11 and one, but they're not in the Big 12 championship game. You've got 11 and one Texas Tech, probably in. Uh-huh. You've got what, 11 and two, Brigham Young, and you've got 12 and one at Utah. All three of them are potentially in that game. With the team. You put them in, though. Time out, time out, time out. Just a recap, because you guys spoke to how we combat what the deep states trying to do. It's BYU has to beat Utah. Yeah. Texas Tech win out. Utah wins the Big 12 championship. Miami, Miami beats Notre Dame and then loses to Wake Forest in the ACC championship. Yes. You're going to have five right there. Yep. That, that is where the chaos is. And it's all going to be dependent on where they have these rankings at. Come the end of November. You don't hit that makes that crazy. There's the original thought of. You said Miami beats Notre Dame. Miami beats Notre Dame because Notre Dame beats Miami. That's when there's one less spot because Notre Dame is in unless they drop something. You're actually right. You are right. Notre Dame wins. Miami drops to five or six. But Miami will stay in five or six. They're in their no matter what. Because they're going to go in the ACC championship and that position. Or Wake Forest will be sitting in that no man's land 11, 12, 11, 12. Wake Forest wins. Miami will drop what lowest is nine. If Notre Dame, so they will be in. Notre Dame or Miami. Whoever wins this game this weekend and say, you know, Wake Forest beats Miami. If Notre Dame is in it because they beat Miami, Miami's a one-laws regular season team. And they lose to Wake Forest and the ACC championship game in this scenario with the big 12 happens. Only one of Wake out of Wake Forest and Miami's going to get in. Only one, they're not going to have. They're not going to have Notre Dame, Miami, Wake Forest, Texas Tech, BYU and Utah. They're not going to have six of these teams in the classroom. Who is deep state of coachable that we're trying to defeat right now? It's the SEC bias. Right. That's essentially what we're doing. Right. So in order to defeat the SEC bias, Miami would have to lose Notre Dame. Notre Dame would be in. So now one slot is taken from everybody in the powerful conferences. Miami winning out and winning the way we know they can win and then play Wake Forest only to lose against GLOPEZ and how red hot they've been. There's a horrible argument for anybody to say Miami shouldn't be in. They're not going to drop out. They're not going to do it. So now you have three spots that are taken by non SEC teams. UCLA, the only range game they have on, which wasn't regular last week, but now is ranked this week as USC at the end of the year. Okay, so we can pencil them in for the big 10 championship at this point. All right. I don't know that I would go that far. You would pencil them into their five point. If everything is minnesota this week. But Minnesota also went to the wire with Indiana and had to kick back to back. To me, in my opinion, UCLA is in a spot where they're saying, If you lose, let's say they win the game. games that they're favored in and they're going against USC. They lose to USC and say they're in the big 10 championship. They're going to be in a spot where they'll be this year's BY. You are correct. And I think that's conditional because I don't think they would treat any other big 10 team like that. The only big 10 team I think they would treat like that is UCLA number one because they don't have the brand bias. The number two, because their schedule is unique. And this is the fault of conferences for expanding so much that you could disproportionately get a weak strength of schedule like this, but that's another conversation. I, because that's exactly what I have happening right now. I had UCLA winning out until maybe they lose to USC and then also lose the big 10 title game. And at that point, that committee's got to sit there and think we're going to put in a team that just lost two in a row to end the year. They don't have a quality win to hang their hat on. But if we don't do that, are we really bumping the runner up in the second most powerful conference in college football this year out of the playoff entirely? Okay, the argument that is sitting at 23 years organ right now. They sure are if they get hot UCLA now has a quality win. You are correct. Then there's also Iowa sitting at 19. And the hardest game they have left in their schedule is Nebraska at the end of the year. And though just split into Nebraska the last three weeks, like you think you think Iowa would handle would handle their schedule. You're telling me it's all going to come down to Nebraska. It always does. It always does because they got Iowa's got Northwest Georgia just lost. They got Purdue, Illinois, and then Nebraska, all very wonderful games for Iowa. So where is Iowa sitting that position? And we haven't talked about Ohio State, which the biggest question mark for them was what's the quarterback in the deal? He played fine in that game. The defense is the one that getting up the expires and they're bad in the red zone along with all the penalties. So the big 10 is another little factor in beating the deep state. I think we'll be in. You're not going to beat the deep state. We're going to be in the best position we possibly can to with everything that you guys are laying out because they're like for me, like if if I have the Willie C college football playoff rankings, I'll be out soon. But if the way I would have these two lost SEC teams, they would be sitting like 9 through 15, right? But they're showing you teams that they're protecting. And then you got Tennessee LSU. Like we don't know what's going to happen over these next few weeks because there's going to be a lot of them with just three losses. And they're all going to be like quality schedules, but they're going to have them fluffed around that bubble because they're telling you, Bam is not going to. Bam is going to be in the bubble if they lose to LSU, but they're going to be in a favorable bubble. If Texas, you know, goes one and one over the next two weeks, they're going to be in the bubble, but they'll be in a favorable bubble in a favorable bubble. If they started in the bubble now, that's where everything that we're saying, like you're not going to be able to get it all these as they're setting up all these teams. But they're tipping off the next three weeks are insane, especially for like LSU and Tennessee are the most interesting ones because their biggest games they have other than each other are at home. Like Tennessee can talk you this weekend. And then Tennessee will have LSU. Those, I mean, those are all at home. We all know Tennessee is completely different. LSU is the same way. Alabama and they got Texas the following week, then Tennessee away to where, okay, what if LSU beats Bama and then beats Texas, but then loses Tennessee where do we sit that? Let me ask you a better question. Not that Eli Drinkwitz and I are on the best of terms right now, but he's sitting at number 18. Yes, sir. I haven't heard anyone talk about Missouri. And outside of Notre Dame, Missouri to me was the most interesting team that I had my eye on going into the rankings last night. So they're there about where I thought they'd be. I thought they'd be like 16 to 18 somewhere like that. So they're 18. I think they can afford to lose another game and still make it to the playoffs. Okay, hold on, though. Yeah, go ahead. First off, you started by saying this is going to be a better question and it was. It was a scenario. I didn't know. Okay, because they don't have Missouri schedule in front of them. They don't have the favoritism that these other SEC teams, they got the schedule. They got the schedule, but they afforded to lose one that they would have to split right between Texas and Georgia. Forget about the names for a second. Let me tell you what they have left. They play this week. They play number seven. The week after that they go to number two and then the week after that they play number six. So they got three games left against top seven teams that committee has shown you that they're valuing winning big games more than they're punishing you for losing games unless you're Ohio State and you lost your quarterback. That team right there can afford to lose another game as long as they win two out of the three of those top seven matchups and don't drop. I think it's Oklahoma at the end of the year. They can't afford to do that. Yeah. Missouri's day of day are ziplined up in the rafters and they could go Shawn Michaels WrestleMania out of nowhere and they could just say we're here. Look at us. We're here. Yeah, Missouri can still make the playoffs one with another loss. He did it. Yeah, you are right, bro. Missouri loses the Texas this week. Do are they still in the top 25? If Missouri loses, oh, yeah, they may be in the top 20. If they lose close to Texas, buddy, this is not being played in the vacuum. Other teams are going to play this week and lose too. So is Missouri going to fall further than other teams that lose when they're lost us to number seven. If they're sitting there, it's close. 20, 21, something like that. And you know, hey, we still got number two and number six coming up. Now, what could derail that or what could enhance it is if Georgia loses to Ole Miss. God, yes. But what if Georgia beats Ole Miss? Or with Kentucky loses to Tennessee, but what if Kentucky beats Tennessee? What if? Yeah. So Missouri could come out of this weekend, having two top five matchups left. And you know I love to buy some, as you stop. You do. Give me all the Simmons in the boy. Yeah. Those are the two. That's it. That's it. That's it. This is, I kind of loved the way they did this play this in your mind. This will just tie you in a pretzel. We could go for five hours on this question. But I want you to think on it for three seconds before you say anything. Coming out of this upcoming weekend, Volcanic Saturday, Saturday of the century of the year. How many different teams could be number one next Tuesday? All right. That's three seconds. You said you gave us a lot of time though. It's all about this. We know Miami could be number one. So I got to thank you for a little bit. All right. So we know Miami. Yep. Georgia could easily be number one. Yep. Utah, especially if either of those two teams lose in front of them and they beat, if they beat Brigham Young, they could vault to number one. Indiana, I don't think there's a path, but who knows? Bama, if there's wreckage in front of them and they beat LSU, Kentucky, Ditto, if they beat Tennessee, and there's wreckage in front of them, Texas, Ditto, if there's like unspeakable carnage in front of them, and they beat Missouri, UCLA, no, Brigham Young, Ditto on all that. If there's carnage in front of them and they beat number three on the road, they're going to vault significantly Ole Miss, Ditto to all that. I think the most under-reported or under-talked about facet of all this is how far Ole Miss could vault this weekend. Like I've heard people we've talked about this playoff this morning for 20 minutes. We have not discussed Ole Miss once, and Ole Miss has got the best quarterback in the country, and they're playing number two at home this weekend. The line's three and a half. We're going to break the game down in a little while. If they win, let's say by 10 points this Saturday. Oh my God. Ole Miss is right in the middle of it. They got the oldest quarterback in the country too. Yeah, the oldest quarterback, but the quarterback has had the most success against the number two team. You know what you don't think? I mean, I can see you're saying that I ain't it's on by this week. Yeah. If those teams lose in front of them, it's like Indiana will be rolling. I think one of the teams that got a win would vault over Indiana, but also remember number 11 there, place number one Saturday. Number 11 could be number one Saturday. Number 11 leads number one, number 10 leads number two. That'd be Cody's worst nightmare if Notre Dame wins on Saturday. Leave the grave out of this. What I'm saying is, if we clapped right now, we got to see next Tuesday's rankings before we've seen the games. You would probably look at those rankings and say, a bomb's going off Saturday. Multiple bombs are going off Saturday. What would possibly have to happen for us to get those rankings from the future that we would be looking at on the board? What I'm telling people is, you should absolutely go crazy over this. You should also know it's not going to look similar at all next Tuesday. Yeah. Yeah. That's why I feel like they did a good job. The deep state being bay. I think the deep state did a good job setting us up for this. Oh, yeah. Putting what they need in position. Everything's in your policies are out there. But if Josh said it's right about Alabama losing one game and not making the playoffs, possibly not making the playoffs. And that is you and I both know it's a massive stretch. Yeah, it's just depends on what the rest of their teams know Josh. You know, BAM is not going to not get in the playoffs. You're sitting one through five. You have to lose multiple games at this point to be out the playoffs. I don't think you do. Maybe if they got whooped by LSU, they've already been whooped on the road once this year. Why wouldn't it potentially happen again? That's the only scenario. I don't think it's the only scenario. If they lost close to LSU, bro, they're five. If they're getting in. If they lose close to LSU and Kentucky drops multiple games and South Carolina got for bid drops multiple games, there's nothing to hang their hat on. Their quality wins aren't high quality wins anymore. What I'm saying? That's a storm. It's Saturday storm. That's a scare. Before you start talking about Alabama can lose one or two, it's the storm got stronger and stronger. Are we good on audio? That's a God day. No, we're not. We interrupt this episode to bring you neutral. Neutral tastes great. It tastes so much better than what else is out there. It's made real vodka and real juice. That's what makes it delicious pineapple and watermelon. They name a couple and they also have their new flavors lime and strawberry perfect for social occasions because it is such a crowd pleaser. Think on the beach with friends at an outdoor bar on the a lake at a music festival, watch and ball with the boys on a Saturday. It's a perfect time of year to grab a 12 pack of neutral for the beach or grab a bucket deal in your favorite bar to celebrate summer. Neutral, keep it tasty. We're back on it. We're back on it. We're just breaking down a crazy SSC championship scenario. They're 19 different possibilities. 19 different possibilities. I think we put Vandia in. If everything falls right, I think we have two and a half point dogs this week. Mississippi State. Who knows? I feel like we've done this, right? We've hit all the things we need to hit. We have we could also go another race. You think so? No, I think it's disrespect. I think we forced is where were you having between 14 and 16? Yeah, that was that was my problem. I was asking who would I vault them over? Right. Like Texas. For me, you know, Tennessee, you know how state now like if there's a million times more digital intelligence than there is biological intelligence, it's hard to imagine humans being in control in that scenario. Silicon Valley is always saying the cliché thing about the way to predict the future is to create it. Well, yeah, it's up to us. But when you say us, who's us? Is it 400 people that you know in Silicon Valley? Is it me down here in New Orleans? They're brilliant, controversial and they're already shaping the future. The question is, who's imagination do we want to live in? This is going to determine the fate of nations and economies and the future of humanity. Wait for us is properly rated bait given the. Oh, there are only losses to the number one team in the country red. True, but it's also each state. And the big ten's one three. Exactly. So I'm saying like it's disrespect to wait for us. You put weight for a battle in the deep state. Do what? I'd have weight for us in the top 10. Oh, something just hit me. You know, I don't know if your mind works like this. Probably not. When the playoff rank has come out, I know yours does because I've watched you say it out loud before you look at it and you keep working out scenarios in your head. And then one just dawns on it. That like, it's out of left field. You just never thought it could happen. But then you realize, whoa, this could happen. Georgia plays Ole Miss this weekend. It's a three and a half point spray. Georgia can easily lose Saturday. Second loss. You know where they go next week. They go into the cockpit next week. Yeah. With their life potentially on the line. I'm just saying, you remember not too long ago? There was an argument being made. Man, Bama could be the number one team in the country. And in the span of eight days, they lost to Georgia and Tennessee. And they went from that may be the best team in the country. Well, they just got handled by Tennessee. That offense is on a ditch. They may not make the playoff. That can happen to anyone this year. If you've got enough quality teams on your schedule, that could happen to anyone this year. And I don't know if it's hit you this way. I feel like most of the country is just forgetting Georgia already lost. Like that Auburn loss. It just got white friend people's memories. How do they have to country things? Georgia's undefeated. And they're not. They got to loss. It's a bad loss. But people keep excusing it because they don't think Georgia's going to lose it. So they just don't think it's going to matter. Yeah. But it could very much matter really quickly if they lose Saturday. You're right, because I'm one of them. I have forgotten Georgia. Not it's like I know. Right. It's like when they ask us like who do you think the best team in the country is we all kind of said Georgia. Yeah, I still yeah, I think they're the most complete squad. But if they lose the Ole Miss going into the cockpit the next week. Two losses in a row for Kirby smart and you understand. Come on. It don't happen. I don't happen. He's undefeated after an in-law season. By an average of 21. This is Georgia said at that nine spot in two weeks. And they dominate because they lose two games. Georgia still in. I guess. I don't know. Who knows anything. The world season is undefeated. There'll be a two lost team. Because that is crazy. It's just a crazy thought process too of like not having Georgia or Alabama in the SC championship. You would be insane. And they're I think currently can you shake this on Fandall the odds to win the SCC championship. I still think Georgia, Alabama are the top two. But dude, I would I would hate to be running Fandall right now. I would hate to have to post these odds publicly. One bet that you gave me the Ohio State to miss the playoffs. A few weeks ago only the bounce back and forth. I took that bet on Fandall my bias. But now it's looking pretty. Looking pretty spooky for Ohio State. Yeah, they hate it on us. Look at that now. Georgia LSU. Okay, so that move. But they're all they're all very similar. LSU. Like there are 14 futures per go. Let's use sitting right there. What are you shaking your head for? It's going to end asleep. No, it's not. I don't think so. So who is LSU or you're nobody yet? They got it all in front of them. There's a lot of value on Texas right there by the way. But also LSU's getting hot at the perfect time. It's a lot of value. To the cops. But sometimes you just need confidence. Sometimes you're alright. You've already talked about it. I mean, Georgia's still negative 105 minus 105 doing it. I don't think anyone should be that favorite doing that lead right now. I agree. But that's how the world used Georgia. Even just Fandall know they've lost the game. I don't think they do. And I say this too, we said in the futures like it's hard to bet against Kirby smart. It is. Yes, it is. And but we're just sitting in a crazy world right now. What if everything kind of just mellows out after the three weeks of chaos, the first college football playoffs come out and then all of a sudden everything just chills. There's just no way. There's no way. There's no way. There's no way. It's a simple math equation at this point. It's a simple math equation. Alright, let's use the first game. Good. Kentucky at Tennessee. Tennessee's feared by six and a half points. That line's moved. Yeah. Was it five and a half to see other day? I think it's I think it's kind of set there all week. That's it. It's six and a half. All right, minute at the end of point. - 12 points in that game is 50 and a half points. Chaos? - Hey, I'll say this about a lot of these games. We're calling this the Saturday of the century of the millennium or whatever. Normally, when you have that, it's a bunch of games that are like pick 'em. Minus one, minus two. A lot of these things Notre Dame, this game, LSU Bama, they're all five and a half, six and a half points press. Like, there's a clear favorite on paper in these games. You wanna know where I'm going with this? - Yeah, I do. - And Tennessee's gonna win in color. - Yeah, I think Kentucky, so here's the good part for them is that they've been plus 12 turnover margins so far this year. They've been plus two in every SEC game, turnover wise, that they've won this year. The Bama game was the only exception. So that's wonderful. I don't discount that. Like, I don't excuse your wins away because you were plus turnover. It's 'cause they're skilled at taking the ball away, especially the teams that keep doing that. From a predictive standpoint, I have a hard time just thinking that's gonna continue. And I also have a hard time thinking that, you know, for a team that South Carolina ran the ball consistently on, for a team that checks to stay in them, ran the ball pretty well on, albeit in losses, I have a hard time believing they're gonna shut Tennessee down on the ground. And so Tennessee, they're both coming off the buy, I think. You get 'em at home at night in Neal and Stadium. I just think at some point, man, like, cream starts to rise. I know that sounds disrespectful to Kentucky. It's not. Kentucky's in a conversation we never thought they would be in. - Yeah. - This late in the year. And I think they emerged from this a really good team, but I think the better team with home field probably needs to be favored above that seven number and they're not. So I'm gonna take Tennessee minus six and a half, and I'm gonna put three units on it. - A piece you want to do four. Another piece you want to do two. - A piece of me has lost half of my net worth in units over the past three weeks, so it doesn't know what it wants to do. - Well, you know, swing a big stick, man. - Yeah. - Swing a big stick and his living die by the sword. I like you with Tennessee. I'm with you on Tennessee. I think the quarterback's got a whole lot better as it's gone. He's been most complimented. But like you brought up Tennessee wants to win the football. Kentucky's shown that you can win the football against him. Minchi has been a great quarterback, but he gets a little gun shy at time. They're not phenomenal in third down. - Does it turn it over though? - Yeah, but Tennessee, Jim knows that defense, like they do an incredible job of getting you in third and long. Third and plus, and that's where Kentucky has had their Achilles heel, like they're not great on third down. They're a team that likes to give you death by a thousand cuts. And when you're playing in a place like Neal and Stadium, where it locks at hard, you've seen Texas flounder around. You saw Alabama flounder around and there. And with those games, it may be different if it wasn't, if it's fought, probably. But because of this fan base and how crazy they get at nighttime, I have to believe that Tennessee wins this game and covers this game because it all eyes on November 21st with LSU and Tennessee. - And remember, Tennessee folks believe they've been done wrong. - Yeah, by the playoff committee. This respect, they are not a protected brand right now. - Right. - They're on the outside looking in, but they also know we've got our fate in our own hands. And if it's Kentucky's blood that has to be smeared on the wall, then it's Kentucky's blood that has to be smeared on the wall. - Well, everything that you guys have said, the only two things that Kentucky is great at, is their number two in the country would take away. They're also top 10 when it comes to penalties. You're playing in Neal and when you look at the entire profile of Kentucky, here's some paper poppers. They're 66 in the country on both total offense and total defense. Then you wanna look at situational football. You looted the third down. They're number 126th in the country in third down defense. They're number 106th in third down offense. Let's get to the red zone. They're 108th in the country in red zone offense. They're 104 in red zone defense. There's nothing that this team does great other than, you look at the winning loss column, big fan of Willie Stein, I respect what Kentucky's done, but looking at the rushing attack of Tennessee, how this defense can get after your ass. I like Tennessee minus six and a half. I'm also gonna go five units on it. This is my five unit game. - We still be more of the girls. - I feel really good about Tennessee, thank you. - Five units. - I'll do four units. I'll do four units on Tennessee minus six and a half here. - This is one of those games. - Like Kentucky. - Kentucky. - It is, yeah, it's one of those games, man. - I know Kentucky's fired up, they should be, but Neelan is at places gonna be on fire, bro. We interrupt this episode to remind you about Fandals college football pick 'em. 10 games to pick against a spread every week and it is for free. If you go 10 out of 10 against a spread, you'll be entered in to a jackpot of $500,000 of which you will split with anybody else who went 10 out of 10 last weekend. Also, if you out-pick me, Josh Pate, or Taylor LeWon, in our picks against the spread, last week I went four out of 10, Josh went four out of 10, Taylor went eight out of 10, a whopping eight out of 10, you almost got yourself in the jackpot, big dog. But if you out-picked one of us, so if you were to went five out of 10, you'd earn yourself a profit boost token 'cause you beat me and Josh Pate. Don't forget Fandals College pick 'em. It's free to play. - BYU, you talk a whole word taking place. You talk a favor by minus five and a half, total points thinking it was 48 and a half points. BYU, LJ Martin comes back. The biggest question mark for BYU is, when Bearbob Myers and a Pange can't he throw the ball. He showed he could do that against what he will thought was one of the best second there's in the country against Notre Dame. But you turn on this Utah film on the offensive side of the ball and I just, I couldn't tell you how to defend it. Like even the first play in Cincinnati last week, like Devon Dampier is basically getting tackled by three guys and then pitches it off for a 15-yard game. And they just have so many creative ways that you're done it being at Utah is a huge edge for me. And every game, every team that we've seen have big win after big win seemed to falter and fall, Utah hasn't been that way at all. They've had big games, they've taken care of business, they've got a Cincinnati and what they're up 45 to 7, 42 to 7 at halftime, like it's any random ball effectively against them, but it didn't matter. It didn't matter. I like Utah minus five and a half in this game. I'll take them to win, I'll take them to cover. I want to slap the table, but I'll just go four and I might come back to it because there's so many great games that I know I want to slap on one, but I'll go Utah minus five and a half here. The creativity that Utah has, whether it's 22 personnel, 12 personnel, 11 personnel. These backfields that they get into and the creativity that they have with the plus run, the plus and one of the ampere, it is fun to watch. This right here, and I need the viewers at home. Don't put a whole lot of stock in the Willy C on this one. This one is chaos play for myself. It's so I'm gonna go two units. I'm taking BYU to cover plus five and a half. I also hope BYU wins this game. I do trust in defense. LJ Martin coming back, I think is gonna be a massive win for BYU, but I got this is BYU. This is a chaos play. This is deep state. I'm going BYU plus five and a half. You're laying down on the train tracks to stop the deep state with that play. That's not you. No, no, there's so many dominoes that have to fall. But this is one of them. Yes, like this is part of it. You're not playing for units on this game. You're playing for chaos. Yeah, I'm playing for keeps, I'm playing for keeps. I'm playing for keeps on this game. Don't know what it means. You're playing for keeps. Yeah, this is one of those. OK, you give me five and a half with BYU. Holy war. Yeah, yeah, I kind of feel that way. And I picked you tall on our show last night. And that number just keeps going up. There's several games this week. Number just keeps going up. You wonder, what does fans will know? What does anyone know? No one knows anything right now. So I watched them last week. I watched you talk really the last couple of weeks. And the last sort of passing thoughts in my mind that they haven't played anyone. That kind of got thrown out the window. Because they just would shed it to people. Two teams that I thought were really quality in Houston. And then what they did in Cincinnati last week was impressive. Not called Cincinnati so great. But it's a quality team. And you went on the road in a letdown spot. And you had 42 and a half. I don't care how you did it. I don't care if they handed you half of those. Literally in a picnic basket. That's pretty incredible. So they look like a machine. Damper I think has two plus touchdowns in 16 straight games. So he's rolling the one thing about bringing me on that I wonder, LJ Martin, if he's back here, how effective is he? Because there's one thing to get a guy back. It's another thing like, man, he came back and ran it 25 times for 180 yards. I think there are two really good quarterbacks. One of whom we know about in Damper, the other bought my kind of announced his emergence onto the national scene. I think in that Notre Dame game, we knew about him. But you hadn't seen him shine in a big game like that. My lead here in my bet here is actually going to be over 48 and a half. Because I think there are two good enough offenses here, even in a rivalry game. Probably starts a little bit low scoring. But I think this game's eventually going to hit it stride enough to where we get mid to upper 20s. Kind of a back and forth game, like a 31-27 type final, 31-24 type final. I think it's going to go over 48 and a half. So I'm going to go three units, over 48 and a half. My slight lean on the game is Utah. But I'm just not comfortable enough to lay the points. They haven't won the Holy Wars since 19. Pre-20s. Pre-Copan? Yeah. Pre-Copan. This is one of those games. But I like your plan BYU for the chaos scenario. But I just feel like Utah. was just, they're a pretty complete team right now. And the biggest thing taking away from them is the logo of the Big 12. They might just be one of those teams that could actually, we get in the playoffs, but like, Oh, shit, they're actually just this good. Big 12 Indiana. Yeah. Yeah, be why you could also throw out a reminder to everybody like they had the big one against Notre Dame and what have they done since then they lost to UCF. They didn't play that well. They got away. They survived theirs on a state like they haven't put together a complete game like they did against Notre Dame. So you I'm just assuming you got to assume that the urgency in the building to obviously going to Utah for the Holy Word. I just you're giving five and a half here would be why you. But wouldn't you have seen that urgency against Arizona? Regardless of if Utah the next week or not, you just lost a UCF. So the urgency should be there at the very least your fastball, the run game should be super effective, but they haven't had an effective run game since the Notre Dame game. That was one of my concerns is if you view college football teams as like like art teams. Yeah. Some of them peak early, some of them peak late and be why you may just peak early and Utah may be peaking right now. Yeah. And if that's happening simultaneously is like that's where you get a lot side of game. Yes. But then it's a rivalry game. And also there's this entire notion that if it was like a week where you just rinse you just like start over every week. I watch Georgia go beat Alabama. I'll watch him use lose to Auburn and I'm like which team are they? Well, they're both. You're just going to have 12 pretty wide variance results. You put them all in a blender. That's that team. Utah just happens to be rolling right now. So I'm definitely not betting against them. But I also understand this sport does not work like that. It does not work nice and linearly and meet and organized and everyone stays on the eject trajectory that they've been on. Maybe bringing them just plays their two best games against their two best opponents of the year. Yeah. Like maybe that could happen. I just want points. That's all I need. All you need is points points points. All you need about Georgia Georgia at Ole Miss Ole Miss is dogs three and a half points. Total points that game is 56 and a half. This is my chaos play. I'm gonna take I'm taking Ole Miss. I'm gonna take them two units and I'm gonna take Ole Miss Moneyline. Can I do that here? Yeah, of course. All right. I'm gonna go I'm gonna go Moneyline Ole Miss. Traded out Chambers the two games he's played against Georgia last year or he had 625 yards. He accounted for five toe touchdowns and zero interceptions. Traded out it's been a little more loose with the football this year but we've we've seen that mobile elusive quarterbacks give Georgia fits and then key one Lacey. He didn't get a snap against Auburn but they still watched the ball for 224 yards. So they they're starting to figure out even without key one Lacey. Duce Alexander had multiple brutal drops in that game even in a blow when against Auburn. So like I see them turn it up quite a bit. Georgia I want chaos. That's basically it because if I sit there I'm like well Georgia it's like they run the ball well they had the handcuffs on gunner stocked in a little bit but he's shown especially in the Alabama game that if he needs to go in the tight windows he's a better quarterback thrown in the people think phenomenal in third down but something about Ole Miss something about the chaos because they lose they they have the big game against LSU they lose the Florida the next way correct and everyone's kind of forgot about them and then they hold Missouri to 36-yard rushing because they're they're front seven was supposed to do the strength that kind of fell apart and now they're showing that they are the strength again especially between the tackles and what is Georgia love to do they love to run in between the tackles so if you make Georgia throw the football angler Stockton has a couple of turnovers like he did against Auburn who's to say that Ole Miss can't handle this game so give me two units Ole Miss money line chaos played by me it's big of you thank you we all want the same thing right we don't want to argue until the season's over I want to argue after the season's hell yeah exactly so you mentioned Ole Miss on third down there they're in like the one teams in third down the Georgia folks are kind of funny right now because they're coming off points wise of convincing landing against Florida but the offense was nothing that was all that impressive now I look at that from a football standpoint I say that's a coaching staff that understood very very quickly if we take knees offensively today we're gonna win Florida isn't the process of giving a game away we're in the process defensively of taking the game from Florida does not matter what we do offensively I just don't think they're revving engine offensively I watched them against Alabama so I know gunner Stockton can make the throws I know that they can be razor sharp efficient on the road in a hostile environmental third down I know they've got several different pass catchers they can come through I know they can really weaponize that tight end position and I know they can run the ball as much as I and everyone else remembers Ole Miss shut Missouri down on the ground I remember Florida gashing them a little bit I remember Texas getting after him a little bit and so Georgia's gonna be able to run the ball I just flat out think there's more to tank offensively than some people believe if they need it I think it's gonna be there for them and I if Ole Miss just is eight of twelve on third down it'll be an Ole Miss game if it's really a repeat of the sugar bowl last year where Trinidad Chambers just takes matters into his own hands Ole Miss will probably win the game by the way people won't remember this that Georgia Ole Miss game if you just go back and watch it is one of the most hard hitting games that you will have seen in the last ten years in college football it's not remembered that way because it was a high scoring game that was Trinidad Chambers they killed each other gunner Stockton took like three of the hardest hits that I've seen a quarterback take and all him all in the same game I believe in Georgia enough to lay those three and a half it's very low confidence it's just one unit for me but I will lay the three and a half of Georgia on the road I'm a low confidence as well I'm going two units on this game I'm taking Georgia to cover for me all it comes down to it's how teams have played like to your point on Ole Miss getting one here is Gunner Stockton that we know in the first six weeks shown up versus Gunner Stockton that was in the last two weeks there's some fun little stats to dive into with Gunner Stockton versus man and pressure like if you get this dude to move his feet a little bit the last two weeks versus Blitz he dropped down to 56% versus Blitz versus the first six games he had he was thrown at 77% versus man he's been 50% the last two weeks the first six games he was 70% when you look at how teams have attacked him in those first six in those first six games collectively he faced 11 man pressures okay in the last two there's been 19 man pressures sent at him so teams are figuring out hey we got to get after this guy we got to get him moving his feet and we got to win and man coverage because he struggled a little bit more in the last two of throwing those tighter windows it's all about if Ole Miss can get the pressure on him and hold up because the two in the middle that you got to worry about like if if there's any leakage if I'm reaching for an offensive lineman that's given up pressure for Georgia because there hasn't been many it's Drew Bobo who's given up seven pressures internally and you're going up against Will Eccles and Cam Franklin who collectively they have five sacks and 33 they've pressured the quarterback 33 times internally so it's Ken Drew Bobo can they hold these cats up internally and then can Gunner Stockton deliver versus man coverage I'm going with Gunner Stockton here because I just believe like to your point they got it in them like they have the weapons it's just am I gonna put in my stock and Gunner Stockton showing up that answer is gonna be yes so I have two units on Georgia to cover minus three and a half this game's happened in simultaneous Miami Notre Dame it's happening after we've already watched Holy War after we've already watched Texas Missouri after we've already watched Alabama LSU you Kentucky Tennessee just kicked off when this thing's going on you imagine how how fast your brain is spinning by this point Saturday especially if you've seen chaos throughout the day oh man yeah those things in that just compound on top of each other when teams start losing that shouldn't lose that are favored Georgia sitting there in that late evening slate we've seen a bunch of favorite teams go down it's gonna be spooky for Georgia yeah post boot topper and there's a part of me that's almost regretting not taking the over here because it's like we might just get this physical shootout again you can still take you know I can but I'm so I'm going with Georgia because I love the defense like I believe in that defense yeah like Trinidad can go off Gunner Stockton that we're talking about shows up and it's just a physical shootout once again and to you I hate myself the overheads the defense like those off-ball linebackers if anybody's gonna be able to run and contain Trinidad Chambers it's gonna be those guys being on the spot third that freakish athletic and the majority of those guys that felt what this Ole Miss offense did to him last year the majority of them are still in that room just need those boys to show up need those boys to show up in Oxford in Oxford night game well Mrs. Dan already took it less you down at home if there's a million times more digital intelligence than there is biological intelligence it's Speaking of LSU, we got Alabama at LSU, not a night game. Lane Kiffin says he understands that the whole cultural world is against him by making it that way. LSU is favored by five and a half points. Total net game is fifty two and a half. Gentlemen? This game is so confusing to me. Because it's, bam is getting healthy. Again, Xavier Brown back. They're getting. I think so anyway. That's what they that's what coach the boys like alluded to. Right. Read in between the lines. You're getting back Terrence Green. You're getting back Xavier Brown. You're getting back Ryan Coleman Williams. You're getting back your center. Cool out. Do I? Yes, they're, yeah, they're there's one of their starting running backs. Dude, this BAM team healthy has shown that they are so good and they can be so good. If that team's showing up, I like them here. It's so hard because I can't get like what LSU has defensively. It's what Tennessee had. And it's past rush. They have the cats across the board talent wise. And just the Tennessee game just in my head of them getting after a killing Russell. That's where I'm just so confused because I want to take BAMO with the points. But part of me is like, man, LSU could just can out physical this team. Because Sam Levitz looked like the best QB in the SEC over the last couple of weeks. Granted, he's played Mississippi State in Auburn who haven't been able to get pressure to him. He's phenomenal when he's clean. But if BAM is able to cut it up a little bit like they have some good past rushers as well. That's where it becomes a game. So it's I have no clue. And I think I'm going BAMO with the points. Give me one unit right now because I feel like I need to hear you guys tell me something. I don't know if it was ready to come down in a little bit for a minute. Hey, we're going to interrupt this episode to bring you crack 'em battle. We know a thing or two about pancakes. You just broke down all the Alabama stuff. Not all of it, but you broke down how Alabama is getting healthier. But you also, you sprinkled over the fact that Sam Levitt has been the best quote, might have been the best word. He has been the best quarterback in the month of split joke. He said 12 touchdowns, two interceptions. And he has 75% completion sense. That's the completion percentage is number one in college football. LSU and the ability to get to the quarterback. They're also number one in rush defense in the SEC. So they able to stop the run versus a team who has struggled to run the football. It's in Baton Rouge. This has got LSU minus five and a half run all over it. This has got chaos taking place. This is five units, five units on LSU. Lane Kiffin, hey, if you need to start drinking earlier, go to bed early on a Friday. He is sat at a podium and he has said, this is what we envision when we created this team. What this last month has been for them. Regardless of the logos that have taken place and all that. We're talking about teams getting hot at the right time. This is a team getting hot at the right time. This is a team sitting at 14. We know that's putting them in a position based on the half their entire schedule in front of them. They're sitting there. And I want you to remember a week one when Lane Kiffin is talking about the Clemson game. And there is that cycle path just rocking back and forth. Guarantee that room's got 15 more guys rocking back. They're getting hot at the right time. Their defense is playing elite level football. They got guys that can rest the passer. They're running the football incredibly well. Their offensive line is playing much better as a unit. And Alabama has done this while LSU has done that similar to the BYU you're talking. I love LSU in this scenario. So you're not concerned that the Bore 6 and 0 coming off buys. No, you're not concerned. Sorry, he's eight. No coming off five. You're not concerned, Bama 6 and 1, their last seven and death Valley. Nope. This doesn't concern you. Seven and one against a different. You against a head coach that had a fakie. Oh, I saw the next. Now they've got one in there who's nine and six off a by week. So you're good now. I'm good now. Okay. So I'm with you actually. I'm going to lay the points with LSU. Sometimes I have to probe. I have to make sure you believe in your five unit. I love that. Because you swore off anything other than a four unit for a long time. And then it was three is the new four, three is also the new one. And now you threw all that in the blender. Now you're back to betting five units. I'm as consistent as this college football season has been. I love it. Okay. The reason I'm not confident on this game, but I will lay the points is like you, I cannot shake the Neal and Stadium Alabama game out of my head. Also, I cannot ignore that even when Bama was healthy, they've not scored a touchdown on the opening drive all year. They've only scored on the opening drive all year once. And if they don't get off to a hot start here, the mental creep starts to come in. That past rush starts to get after you LSU probably grabs a lead. And there you go, unable to, unable to run the ball, playing from behind, bad game script again. So all that has me scared enough to where my pick is LSU minus five and a half. The reason I'm not going close to the slap the table neighborhood, the reason I'm just going to go to units on that is I do remember what that team's capable of to Will's point before they got banged up. I still remember what that offense looked like when they were hanging 45 plus a game. And I still know that's there. Like technically that's there. Also, even though LSU's play Trinidad Chambers, they haven't faced a quarterback, they can weaponize his legs. Post play breakdown like Keelan Russell has been able to all year. So like that past rush, it should be able to get after Alabama a little bit. That should happen. It could also be broken plays that lead to the big plays for Alabama that opens the game up a little bit. So, I don't discount that as a possibility, but the other wild card is, Bams been really good at forcing turnovers and really good at scoring defensively. You know, let's use like 73rd and takeaways. So, there's that. And if you were to be able to predict that great, I can't predict that. So, I do know that I think LSU is getting hot. I do know that I think they're healthy at the right time, just like Alabama's healthy at the right time. Last time I saw Bams go on the road, it was a disaster. It's really that easy for me. If they proved me wrong, they proved me wrong. But I'll lay the five and a half for two units. Yeah. Sam Levent re-enters his name in the Heisman race after this week. Oh, really? Yeah. He's entering the Heisman race. He's entering his name back in the Heisman race. Well, let's fold. Give me the over. Hey, there's the win. Three units on the over. Oh, man. It's good right now. It's really good right now. I'll tell you guys something, whether I'm going to tailgate on the couch watching the brasker Michigan on a Saturday. Jack Daniels is a staple in my game day roster. Go and expand your playbook with the cinnamon cake of Jack Fire, the smooth taste of Jack Honey, and a crisp, refreshing Jack Apple. And the only blackberry bursty with Jack personally, I'm a Jack Honey guy. Got a little sweetness to me. I'm the type of guy in game day. I like to be a little Jack Honey in my system. No matter how you stack your unit, there's a Jack for every football fan. Let's get back to this episode. We're at the Arian's Game of the Week right now. Winters coming. Get your snow blower. All right, dial it in. Snow will fall. You'll be pissed off. Blow it away with the best in the game. Arian's. All right. Arian's Game of the Week Miami versus Notre Dame in South Ben. Notre Dame five and a half point favorites. Told him this game is 57 and a half. We've already talked about it. We've already talked about how this is a must one. This is a do-and-die situation. Notre Dame season starts and ends with this game right here. As you can do, many favors Wisconsin hasn't done any favors. I'm going to lean over to our Notre Dame bias. We'll count in. Lucy prox referred adults of legal age. Every customer is age verified. Warning, this product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical. This is Notre Dame. When you look into the weeds of this game, it's all going to come down to Notre Dame's ability to pressure with four and five. Because Mensa against the blitz, if you just look up those numbers, he's 87%. But when you can get pressure on this young man and get him to move his feet, throw on the run, get him just affected in the pocket. It drops to 50%. I do, I've talked about it for a few weeks now. I feel like Miami's offensive line is leaky up front. And I feel like Notre Dame has the talent to take advantage of that and get pressure. Also, when you look at the other side, every quarterback that is when it gets Miami, a powerful quarterback, they have thrown for around 300 yards. Clemson was able to throw for $2.95. And I just, I got to believe that CJ Carr is going to throw for $300 plus against this week Miami Secondary. So for those two keys to the game, I like Notre Dame to cover minus five and a half. And with the extra juice, we've all known that both of these teams, especially Notre Dame, has had this game circled for about a year now. 'Cause the head to head last year, all the stuff Miami versus Notre Dame that took place. Now, knowing that they're ranked in the slot that they are in the CFP rankings, there's just that extra juice, that extra edge. They have to have this game, where Miami can afford to, they can afford to drop this one. So I like Notre Dame at home night game to cover minus five and a half. Well said. If there's a million times more digital intelligence than there is biological intelligence, it's hard to imagine humans being in control in that scenario. We've sort of broken the mold, like we're not trying to be quiet. Out there. Whoa. From handling pressure, to bouncing back from rejection, you can take their lessons into your life and career. I'm still improving. I love that. Listen to born to become with Diana Flores on the IHR Radio App. Notre Dame. C.J. Carson from Carapacorta back. Miami's defense is simply leaking on the back end. And you brought up a great point of Notre Dame's had this game circled because of what happened last year. But they've had their whole season from last year's circled as well. About the disrespect that's taken place and we're going to run it, look how easy their schedule is, yet they still drop to be why you a probo. So that is, as much as you want to have a storyline of backs gets the wall, chip on the shoulder mentality. Like you had a chance to prove it, to not even be in the position of a do or die situation in week 10. And you lost it opportunity against BYU. And you got beaten in a way where there's really one guy, Bear Bulkmire. Miami has a lot of weapons on the opposite side of the ball. You've brought up Mensa Malachi Tony because of Barcai. Mm-hmm. Barcai, like, and then the running back. I don't know why I'm forgetting his name. Fletcher. Fletcher. They got a couple. Yeah, he, Mark Fletcher. He's awesome. We have to meet him in the, in the spring, like, incredible person. They have insanely talented skill position guys all over the field. So I could see Miami keeping pace with them in a lot of ways. I do agree with their office line very leaky. There's times you put on the film and you're watching the left tackle on a different, uh, a different page is the left guard. And the left guard goes down, helps center tackle fans out. And the defensive end is just sitting in the hole against UNC. We were like, you guys just got to communicate that. and you're not getting a TFL. So there's like leaky things that we said early in the season, hey, this seems like an Achilles heel for them. But Mario Cristobal, we should never doubt that they're off its line yet we sit here more than halfway through the regular season and the question mark still remains on the offensive line and how they're not getting better. They're playing a lot of young guys or filtering guys out. Noted name to me, like the question mark on them has been like running the football. There's been times he's answered that question. There's been times we go back to questioning them on that. This is not a game for Notre Dame to even have to run the ball. They have to be like Arizona with their opportunistic in the run game where they're just back at everybody out and 11 personnel just handed off once or twice. 'Cause CJ Carr is one of the best quarterbacks in the country. When I look at this, I see this as a shootout taking place in South Bend. All you have 57 and a half points and I love the idea of Notre Dame with the home field advantage. Then being a more complete team top to bottom, I'm not having the clear holes that Miami has in the secondary and CJ Carr dicing them up, having that 300 plus yard game in the air and having multiple touchdowns. But I can also see Miami easily keeping pace with them. So I'm gonna go over 57 and a half here. I'll do four units on that. I think there's gonna be, I mean, Miami on offense is much better than BYU on offense and BYU is able to have a lot of success. What happens when all those aliens are on the field? Again, the team we said was the best secondary, one of the best defenses in college football. And then we already know what CJ Carr can do when he's been able to do it throughout the year. So I'll take the over. - You took Notre Dame, you took total, you took over. - Yes. - So I'm a believer we have not seen CJ Carr's best. I think they also know, like they've got to put it on his shoulders here. You cannot count on running the ball overly effectively against Miami. If you do, great. I don't think they will. I think they'll run it good enough. But like the running back rotation you thought that have versus the one that they're going with right now, radically different from the first of the year. So it is on CJ Carr's shoulders. The thing about him taking a disproportionate load on his shoulders is he's three in three in games where he throws it 30 plus times. He's 0 in three in one possession games. So as much as I think he's got it in him to be a big game quarterback, he hasn't won big games. That's okay 'cause God's giving you another one this week to go win. Also, I feel like when we watch Miami, first off, you've got the whole desperation on Notre Dame side. We got to win it, they want to win it. 44 degrees that kick off. If that means anything to you with Miami, it means something to me 'cause we've been able to wear short sleeves all year. And so that's done. That's hard break. What I love though. Is it done? I learned my lesson from Indiana. Fair. Got it too. Got it too. Malakitoni, probably the best player on the field in this game. Leonard Moore is really good. Talk about him. Leonard Moore faced Makai Limon last year. And he gave up two catches for 23 yards. I am not saying that Makai Limon is the equal to Malakitoni. Tony is a very, very good receiver. If Jeremiah Smith didn't exist, then he would be the poster child for the sport this year. But I do think Leonard Moore is the closest you will come to being someone who can shadow him and who can contest him all night. That just means to me. A lot of those other receivers that are very much living in his shadow have the ability to emerge. And if you remember, when they got Tony, or not when they got Tony, when they got dairy men's out of the transfer portal, very quietly, he came with Cooper Barquet. Cooper Barquet was Duke's best receiver last year. And Cooper Barquet's had a good year so far. But he has not had a game where he has to truly step up and go like seven catches for 190 in a touchdown. And this is probably the game where he needs to do that. I just look at five and a half points in a game where the totals in the upper 50s. Total in the upper 50s means back and forth higher scoring to me. Five and a half points is a lot of points. Even though that's a higher variance kind of outcome, the higher the total goes, you're giving me five and a half points. And a game you think's gonna be a shoot out, just too many. So, you know, model thinks Notre Dame wins. But it thinks Notre Dame wins very, very, very close. So any points that I'm getting above a field goal I'm taking, I'm taking Miami plus five and a half, two units. - Two units. - Two units. - Okay, what? Who is the receiver you compared to a mouth, I told you? It would give me three. - We've moved on. - Yeah, game in based on sympathy, dude. Two different wide receivers. - They are two different wide receivers. - Malkite Tony, he's got that fucking juice about him. - Oh, he does. He's phenomenal. - He's about that action. - What do you want to guy on him? It is Leonard Moore. - No doubt, but who the USC wide receivers who are doing right? - Yeah. - In the minute he got up at the podium to combine. He was off my deck. You know? Malkite Tony ain't walking up on that. But the, you know, playing a character. This dude's about that action. And as little as he is, dude. He's a physical little fucker. I'm a big, I just want to say that. I'm a big Malkite Tony guy. - All right. - Love the points of this game. Where is your little baby model saved at the point? - It says Notre Dame minus two and a half should be the number. It says the line is inflated by three, which is borderline unprecedented for a big game. But I found out last night, the model and Fandall differ wildly on their respective opinions of Notre Dame. Fandall's higher on Notre Dame. And Fandall, just a little FYI, it has nothing to do with this game. Way higher on Texas than the model is. So we banked that for down the road. So I'm gonna take advantage of what I think is maybe a little bit of an over inflated line. We haven't even mentioned the Notre Dame injuries up front defensively. Like those are big injuries. And I see, here's what I think about Miami's offensive line. When you watch them, you said they've been leaky. Like they've been very inconsistent. They've been vulnerable at tackle. But when you watch them just take their personnel and their ability level. Do they not strike you as a group that still, if they ever put it all together, could be a really high level unit? Yeah, they could. That's what I keep asking them. That's correct. But that's games are played in the future. And even defensive line, it's like, they have good pass rushers, but they don't have these game records like they did with Bain and Mesodoy last year. That took over that game when it was the one score game earlier in the year when they played. So think about this. This time last year, Miami's already too lost team. We're remembering Miami from the team that went on a run to the national title. They weren't that at this time last year. So I'm asking myself, is Miami built to start peaking at the right time again? 'Cause you have to think in future tense. You can't be thinking in past tense with a team like that. 'Cause they just showed you last year what we are in September and October. Pales and comparison to what we may be in November and December. And I'm always, I'm curious about Alabama getting healthy. Do they do that? I'm curious about Miami. Already having proof of concept from a year ago. Do they do something like that here? And so just the mere possibility that that happens, if you're gonna give me five and a half points in that possibility, I'm okay taking that. - Bump it up, dude. - I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. - What a four. I went two. You just wanted to skip three? - Yeah. Why not? - I'll tell you why. 'Cause I think Notre Dame's gonna win the game. - Okay, but he's in close. I just can't believe you still think peer pressure works on me. - No, I'm just saying, hey, I'm having fun. It's just a show. - It's just a show. - I'm bummed the line has went up to five and a half 'cause they were at three and a half last week. And I was telling a couple of the boys was like, I think I'm moving this line at six and a half. I forgot to take it. - As a big of a question mark in Miami's offensive line has been, Notre Dame has been incredible. That's where it's like CJ Carr, the edge like when they, what's running the football, their running backs in protection are incredible. Like they put their face in it. And then you can just, they're always on the same page. You might always be the result they want, but their offensive line is, you never think to yourself, oh this guy didn't know what he was doing. With Miami, you can look at multiple times a game. Like one or two guys like, oh he has no idea where the rest of the offensive line's going. That's something that by week 10 should be fixed. Because spoiler about Miami's offense, it's not incredibly complex. It's inside zone, it's a duo. It's very, it's very basic offensive line techniques and things that they're just overlooking basic stuff when you put a shade on a tight five and we'll line back around the edge, where the tackle's fanning and the guard's going down and just sits there. Notre Dame there, I have seen maybe three plays all season where someone messes up. It's, they're, their inner name is offensive line is very impressive and maybe more impressive than that. They're running back room the way they put their face in blocks. Like CJ Carr, I think it's gonna have a lot of time. A lot of time in this game. I think I would probably lean Notre Dame, but five and a half is a lot. It is, it is. And they were 10 and a half point favorites versus BYU. And never controlled a bit of the game. Never had to come from behind to even have a shot at the end. It's not like they got backdoored or anything like that. It's not like the Texas Ohio State thing where big lead all the sudden, what just happened? Right, it was not that at all. It was like, they, they, yeah, they kicked off and BYU controlled the entire game for 59 minutes and 59 seconds. This game makes me the most nervous of any game on the board. It's really? Yeah, just, I'm not talking about nervous like for my pick. Yeah. Just nervous as in, you know the stakes that are riding on it. We're gonna be there. So there's the added bonus, but just like thinking about, this is like a chew your fingernails to the nub type of game. 'Cause this is better than playoffs to me. These regular season games on campuses, can't I, are better than playoffs to me? Yeah. They're huge. You talking about those kind of games 30, 40 years. Yeah, and this is probably the only game where, like if Notre Dame does lose. Like, you don't see a world to give back in the playoffs. I don't. I really don't. All of these other games you're talking about as much as they mean something like you can find ways for, okay, Ole Miss loses the Georgia. Ole Miss can do X, Y and Z to get in. Same with Georgia, same with LSU, same with Bayama. Tennessee can talk to you. Like all those teams are like, they would just need so many teams to, like, just lose. You don't control your destiny if you lose, but they're still, like you can still look down the hall and see a path to get there. With Notre Dame. hall with a very small light. You'll have no wind. Some of them, yeah. They'll have no wind. Alabama, no. Right? We had that conversation. Georgia, no. Right, but they'll miss. Yes. LSU. Yes. But the committee, the committee telling you that their biggest value piece in the whole ranking system is like it's quality wind. That's it. It's not consistency. It's not like the record, the wind loss column. It's another, Notre Dame would have zero. And no shot to get one. No, yeah. Right. Even it would. Okay, what if, um, who's S, I don't even know who S and U places? They just lost the Syracuse. But let's say they get a dominant win over who? That's still got wake. And they find it. SMU still got wake. That'll be a fun game. The flavor. Did you take this with their five and a half point favorites? So I think I saw that. I don't know that SMU's done losing. I don't know either. But let's just say SMU blows Virginia Tech out of the way. That's case scenario. You get a fringe top 25 win. That's what I'm saying. You get into a, like a top 24, top 25, like, is that enough for Notre Dame to get that signature win in the top 25? Think about how insane that question is. Right? Right. That's just crazy. The fringe top 25 win. To me, this is it. This is the entire weekend for Notre Dame. I mean, UCLA is the same position. When you close your eyes and you think about Selection Sunday, is Notre Dame in that picture? Because I still see them in the picture. I just have a hard time, believe it. Notre Dame's eliminated on November 7th from playoff conversation. Yeah. No, I see that it's crazy to think about because I see I've seen Notre Dame winning this game. Yeah. It's all about chaos. I'm not done at all. We feel good. Yeah. Only we got. We got super slate. We got dogs. We got parlays. Let me find this a little super slate card. I know where I know where I'm super slate. UCLA Minnesota is my super slate game. You say five and a half point favorites. Tell us 39 and a half. Minnesota is a sneaky team. They, I mean, they brought in the end of down the wire. They obviously meet Michigan earlier in the season. They just been a team that kind of lingers around other than the Mississippi state game. And I don't see that really changing with UCLA having to travel out to Minnesota. Flex got this fucking rain. Oh, the rain. Yeah, it's gonna last for a second game. Minnesota plus five and a half. Yeah. All right. Oregon's going to Ohio State this week. I think Dylan Rial has got it in him to at least get inside this number. I think something weird can happen. Can you hear me? Yeah. Yeah. Oregon's not out of the big 10 championship picture. And I think I'm the only person on the planet, maybe even including Dan landing who is aware of that. I think Oregon's going to play him tough. I'll take Oregon plus seven and a half. Do you think they could actually beat Ohio State? No, yes. Got it. Yep. If they do, holy shit, right? No doubt. That would be crazy. Re-loss us for Ohio State. Chaos. Bye. See you later. Kitchen ever. Yeah. Give me Missouri plus two and a half hosting Texas this week in the injuries that have taken place for Texas. One of the most inconsistent football teams in the game right now. Give me Missouri plus two and a half at home this weekend. Sneaky game. Love that play. Chaos slate for sure. Hey, are these one unit games? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Be a little louder. Why do you want to go more? Are these one unit games? Yes. Do you want to put more units on it? No, these are one unit. I'm saying, dear, we have sure we could change the rules. Are you listening? I want to abide, man. I like to put more units on it. Just give me a unit. We got plus one hundred to cover two and a half. Dogs of the week. I got Vanderbilt money line versus Mississippi State at Mississippi State. So I came to Connell yesterday. He looks healthy. He looks hard. He fired up for Vanderbilt. Rains gone. I think we should keep the volume the same. My dog, you had it on super slate. I like Minnesota plus five and a half at home against UCLA. Oh, wow. Texas A&M's rested. South Carolina's double do down. I need South Carolina to just win this week. Yeah. It's going to be ugly. Yep. I don't love the spot. Weird stuff's going to happen. I just need them to win by one. Win by three. Whatever model says seven and a half's too many for Texas A&M. I just haven't hitch on my face. That's the only reason I'm covering my face right now. I'm not trying to avoid anybody. That's not how I live my life. I will take Texas A&M plus seven and a half as my dog on the week. Perfect. Take the parlay, shall we boys? LSU Alabama. I got the over all total 49 and a half. Just take that down a couple of points. Arizona money line UCLA minus two and a half. See I got there? They cover, but you guys understand Colorado State plus 17 and a half. And I have Nebraska money line getting back on track after the three game skid. Total is plus 862. That's the lightest one in the sheet boys. That's nice too. My weekly parlay four games that we've talked about. No other name to cover five and a half. Tennessee to cover six and a half. Minnesota to cover five and a half. And Missouri to cover plus two and a half. That totals out to 1240. Give me Missouri money line. Give me Penn State money line and give me Syracuse over Clemson money line for plus eight eight eight. The triple snowman is a new mold. The triple snowman with an arian's lawn mower to a snowblower. It's all again. I can't wait. What is the plan Saturday? Because my goal is just we just find somewhere to sit and watch football all day long. I'm thinking about having Katie let me in early all by myself if I have to so I could find some quiet place inside Notre Dame Stadium to have three screens in front of me and not move until kickoff. I love that. I love it. How early are you talking? Early morning. Like like let me be there for holy work. Like let me be in there by the time those new games get gone. I do that kind of stuff. I just go hide all day. I respect that. Yeah. Be alone. Would you stay in somewhere? Friday night there's there's whispers of a possible going to a high school football game. Yeah. Would you be interested in that? Well you know I have a live show in South Bend Friday night so probably not. Oh shit I guess we're doing a live show in South Bend. Nebraska plays Friday night Illinois. We're not going to a high school football game this week. It's a lot going on. So you guys next time big club standing kisses.
