The Line Ups | Planet FPL S. 10 Ep. 4 | Fantasy Premier League
74m 19s
In this episode of Planet FPL, hosts Sutch and James analyze predicted starting lineups for all 20 Premier League teams ahead of game week one, following their earlier shortlist show. They stress that these predictions are their own opinions, subject to change due to transfers, injuries, or late team news, and advise listeners not to overthink or over-tinker. The discussion covers each team systematically, starting with Arsenal vs. Coventry, where they flag uncertainties in midfield (e.g., Mikel Merino vs. Declan Rice) and attack, while noting defensive stability. For Hull vs. Manchester United, they express low confidence in Hull's lineup beyond goalkeeper and striker, while United's main questions involve Amad vs. Rasmus Højlund and defensive rotation. They also examine Everton vs. Crystal Palace, predicting Dwight McNeil starts against his former club, and Ipswich vs. Sunderland, where new signings like Jens Cajuste and Fatawu may debut. Key talking points include Manchester City's injury to Jérémy Doku, leading to uncertainty on the left wing (possibly Jack Grealish), and Aston Villa's potential sale of Ollie Watkins to Al-Hilal, which could disrupt their attack. They also highlight Brighton's Europa League rotation risks and Liverpool's right-wing dilemma with Rio Ngumoha. The hosts conclude by reminding listeners of the Friday deadline, promoting their Patreon for advanced content, and encouraging a calm, confident approach to final team selections, emphasizing that no lineup is guaranteed.

the fantasy football show hello everybody welcome to planet fpl the world where everything
revolves around fantasy premier league my name's search and my name is james and we march on
towards the deadline james we march on uh having said that i have actually since we did the
show on monday um logged out kind of as i logged out i haven't touched fpl or my fpl team for
good reason but yes we march on we we did the shortlist show on monday we went through all of
the positions and price points and players at positions and price points today we're going to
look at the lineups and what we think might be the 11s going into game week one um and i know
it's it's it's very specifically gaming one that we want to look at right yeah first and foremost
uh i don't think people would necessarily want to start with players in their team
that don't think they're going to start you can have your 4.5 midfielder you don't think it's going
to start so it doesn't matter so much but a lot of the comments i see are very much do you think
he'll start is he nailed and within this we can have discussion about i think this player is okay
for game week one but might be problematic going forward so it's more to we've done the shortlist
who's under consideration now live right okay our team's likely to set up so we're going to run
through all 20 teams we're going to do it in the order of of obviously
the games taking place this weekend so we'll start with arsenal coventry for those on youtube
you're going to see some graphics where i've got essentially the 22 predicted players that i've got
and i must stress that these are my predictions there's no particular input here from
correspondents i am getting alarmed particularly on twitter seeing people quoting comments that
correspondents made last week not factoring in that some teams have played like too friendly
since then so some of these opinions have changed from last week okay and we kind of
went i kind of ran through that in 10 minutes on the shortlist on monday in terms of right some
stuff has changed so uh we're going to look at lineups we'll go through the teams for the benefit
of obviously those listening to the podcast we'll read through all the players names and then
obviously kind of do discussion points from there you happy with that boss we'll just get into it
absolutely absolutely uh yeah i think let's get into it i was i was uh on a on a complete side
note um i think it's going to be a lot of fun i think it's going to be a lot of fun i think it's
going to be a lot of fun i think sometimes we overthink what we're doing with with our fpl teams
and as we get close to the deadline like we are the engaged lot right yeah we put the shortlist out on
on monday we've got to give a shout out to andy mr let's talk fpl if you're not subscribed on his
youtube channel i don't know what you're doing here because no one's not support no one's not
subscribed firstly let's give let's give the guy a massive shout out because getting to half a
million subs um i mean there's some big channels out there but half a million subs is there but i
had a brilliant idea of what we're doing with our fpl teams and as we get closer to the deadline
we were talking my bench piece where i had a dilemma and uh without getting into the details
of the conversation and it went along the lines of something like i've ended up with ollie mcbirney
in my team right uh and obviously andy's posting videos daily so if you watch his stuff you might
know it and that was the point that i looked at myself and i was like we probably think about this
way too much if that's where we've got to uh all the likes of ollie mcbirney's and random stuff
like that is popping up so i really kind of checked out and thought about it and i was like
let me like withdraw myself because you get overdose of content where you're like okay well
what every tinker every bit of information leads to another tinker that can't be healthy can it
uh andy is an exceptional fpl player yeah he should he should play it his way if he wants
to start ollie mcbirney we all should it will start with ollie mcbirney it's possibly also
why he's got 500 000 youtube subscribers because people want to go why are you doing that andy
yeah yeah uh go go and give him a sub because he needs one or two more uh yeah andy's short
subscribers yeah if you'd like to subscribe to our channel please do smash a like all those things
indeed join us over on patreon.com we'll do the patron sale later let's talk about these teams
and these games first we this is look the monday the monday podcast the short list was very much
focused on like right what's really interesting for fantasy now this is very much about how teams
will line up now for those watching on youtube
don't stress too much about the graphics have kind of done roughly how formations will be that
i've moved like nico riley into left 10 inverted positions or anything like that it's just to show
you kind of like a basic outline don't worry too much about the systems and stuff all these images
will show uh the players their price in an fpl and you'll see stars next to certain players the
players with the stars i would rate currently at the time recording early wednesday morning as 95
plus to start
game week one in my mind i.e if someone says to me will they start my answer is definitively yes
shit can change team news someone signs a new player there's one player you're going to see
on here where i've got them starred and that opinion will already have changed from what you
see on the graphic because a new player has been signed so we'll start with arsenal coventry so
i've got it like this at the moment um essentially the same team that started the community shield
so uh raya white mascara gabrielle
calafiore uh guimaraes lewis skelly madaweki odegaard solace and havertz um for me there
are probably two question marks in that starting 11 which can have multiple solutions in terms of
how they're filled the two that i'm not sure on a madaweki and guimaraes so guimaraes could easily
be declan rice i think guimaraes could easily be kai have um victor yokares and kai havertz
into a slightly deeper position i think guimaraes could easily be victor yokares and kai havertz
so i i mean with madaweki wouldn't even surprise me if they gave uh one of the young young boys
like max downman a bit of a run out because home fixture against coventry why not yeah yes it's
possible um i just think under that circumstance if there was a plan to play downman against
coventry i actually think he would start the community shield against city okay they've
arteta has shown that he's got real faith in him so i think the fact that madaweki started
the community shield against city has shown that he's got real faith in him so i think the fact that
there could be something in that positionally in terms of anticipation that nico o'reilly would
go on wonders and how that's going to be dealt with and maybe that wouldn't be comfortable for
downman so yeah i don't think you're wrong it wouldn't come as like a huge shock if max downman
started um i think the other's all pretty safe i'd be very surprised if that back line didn't
change i think lewis skelly and odegaard were exceptional on sunday so to me remember it's
one game a week so it's not like the midweek game next week they're obviously not in this stage of
the carabel cup it doesn't appear to be real competition to solace's place certainly for game
one martinelli obviously was linked to a mood to galatasaray that he doesn't fancy um i think
habits is pretty pretty assured of playing i do think he'll probably play as the nine has said
there is a chance obviously he ends up a bit deeper with yoka as planned they could definitely
go with say lewis skelly odegaard havers as the midfield makeup gimres also maybe could be as i
do it that way is a different way of doing it
yeah just just just you mentioning that it's like thinking about all right they'll get the job done
but if they are not if they're struggling they're not getting the job done the firepower that they
are now bringing off the bench with that team gocares sacca martinelli as a you know okay they
they could really mix it up and turn it on should they need to in the second half um if they're
struggling to break coventry down they've got debt there what i would say about this and again
i must stress these starred players are players that i'm extremely confident will start game week
one doesn't it i'm extremely confident we'll start game week one doesn't it i'm extremely confident
we'll start game week one doesn't mean they're nailed for weeks on end some of these were going
to become concerning potentially quite quickly right califuri hincapi rotation once europe starts
uh during timber to ben white when he's back available we know there's interest in buying a
right back slash right-sided center back i think lewis skelly and odegaard have got the nod for now
that could change solace is right right comes back into this team there's no doubt about it
of course he does so but for for lewis skelly or for gimorash
I'd say for Lewis Skelly,
i mean lewis skelly can cover fullback as well right i think probably the chances are such once
champions league starts you'll just get regular rotation i think there must be a consciousness
for them that probably deckham rice has played too much football over the last 12 months and
and protect him a little bit more i think yeah about coventry for coventry i do think we should
acknowledge there's a chance to go with a back five um just because of the quality of obviously
the opponent they're facing i've got it basically as a 451 slash 433 so uh rushworth van uick thomas
amenda de silva midfield urenchi grimes on yeka uh truna probably on the right thomas asante left
sims up front now it's that front three if you will that i'm very unsure on they've obviously
signed uh taiwan yee from night in the forest it's not beyond possibility they go straight into the
team i don't
think it's beyond possibility that they maybe go with some more defensive minded players to play
in the wide positions i think the coventry attack therefore is just a complete avoid at the moment
because they think people were picking it with game week two in mind and like to tell you now
that alan yee will start game with one and two i can't or sims will start game with one and two
i can't and also the makeup of the team might well change against hole from arsenal so it might
be that they play with maybe a more orthodox number 10 perhaps against hole rather than against arsenal
i think that midfield three is pretty solid urenchi may be the one that's kind of the runner from the
midfield alari's goal against canada at the world cup but i think you can expect them to go pretty
low on this probably the key takeaway is i think in terms of goalkeeper on the back four you're
absolutely secure there for this week i think the silver is the one that's avoidable because they
are being linked with left backs i think the other three defenders there you should be able to see
should be absolutely fine as said i wouldn't be surprised if there's an additional defensive body
maybe ball into that like kitching for example against arsenal maybe they go with more of a
5-4-1 friday night but i think as discussed with andrew i think arsenal is a like a it doesn't
matter if they lose you don't want to lose the game but it's what's more important is next week
so i think build towards that is the most likely so i think there's 4.0 to find if you want to go
there i can't see any problems with it okie dokie
uh the early kickoff on saturday james hull hosting manchester united uh is hull the team
that you have put the least stars on i ain't got a clue i still haven't got a clue i tell you why
it is as well well you start ollie mcbirney so andy will be happy yeah andy will be happy the
only two players i'm absolutely confident in for whole this week are salakis and mcbirney i think
there are a number in there that i would class well above sort of like 80 percent confident but um
i think that there's a chance that mendy will come into the team as one of their new signings
left-footed center back and it will now enable them the possibility to play a back five slash
a back three and if he does and i think there's every chance he will i can't work out who's going
to miss out between say egan and ajay so so they both play i would i would say coil and giles
probably highly likely play as the fullback slash wingbacks i think they're going to be
still plays but i've wondered if this could end up looking more like even a 5-3-2 they've basically
exclusively played a back four in friendlies so my point being here is my confidence in this is very
very low so i've got it as a back five so salakis in goal coil ajay egan mendy and giles with slater
and crooks as the midfield two and that's definitely not secure by any means baloomy with a lean to the
right stroud on the left and mcburnie up front but there are a number of other players that could
easily change that so like yeto doll came straight in for the first game um last week he could play
they bought another midfield player corner dwarf who i know very little about feels like he could
go straight into the team slater over crooks if you want to go with a 4.5 midfielder but i
i wouldn't be surprised if neither played and they're still buying players right they're just
trying every day it's like a new name getting linked so i'm really not confident in what hole
will do whatsoever other than the goalkeeper and the and the striker please at danny mcdonald because
he'll have a better idea about it than me but i truthfully if you want enablers i just think you
go to the other two promoted teams at the moment okay your manchester united lineup is is quite
interesting back to front you've gone with lemons in gold i kind of agree with you back four of shore
midfield two at telemans and santos with adogu bruno fernandez amad and then mbumo up top you
haven't starred mbumo amad dallo across the right um and then aid in heaven you've got a kind of
question mark on is that because you see that whole thing rotating because i could see amad
dropping in as a wingback bumo moving out to the right and kunia or sesco coming in as the striker
or do you think um is that a question mark or is that a question mark
something slightly different that could be at play so quite confident heaven starts at whole
but as said on monday like lissandra martinez did appear as a substitute and and i do think there is
a case of whole it's which first two like you could almost ease him back into these sort of
fixtures so i think heaven will start but that's a minor concern dallo can easily be matt swaring
okay so i think it'll be dallo but it could easily be matt swary i'm not super confident on that
i think we say tea lemons and santos i think kobe mano is a bit further behind so i'm pretty
confident that starts what about um on on those two what about mount because i've been hearing
from pre-season again oh is he yeah oh okay i heard he'd had a couple of good games in pre-season
from from united i hadn't realized that he'd picked up a knock again yeah injured again
apparently so feel for him okay yeah yeah absolutely um he's what it is benjamin sesco and
has the lit of rejoining training by the way this week um that if you are starting with boomo
that has to be an awareness like brian boomer cannot be i'm picking brian boomer for 10 weeks
at the moment can't be now i think boomer will start i'm pretty confident about that but i'm
not in the 95 percent bracket i can't be and the reason amad isn't started i just think
if kunya plays truthfully i think boomer probably plays on the right
yep and amad misses out so that's why those two i do think strongly that it will be boomer and amad
but obviously it could easily be matthias kunya i don't actually have any doubt on dogu
particularly he started all three of the last friendlies and we obviously made the case on
monday for boomer it would have been third game in a week dogu started all of them so i do think
dogu starts and as it stands he'll get replaced later in the game by marcus rashford um i think
he'll get replaced by kunya that's how i feel about it at this moment but it could easily be
kunya replaces amad particularly if they're chasing a goal and and boomer goes into a wide
area so i am i am confident on boomer i'm i'm north of 80 on him but i can't look at it with
with certainty yeah okay uh shall we move to best friends everton v crystal palace why are they best
fans because they're on the dwight mcneil brendan brennan johnson hokey cokey so i've made them
best friends now this is this has got one one written all over it and both score isn't it
well you haven't put uh oh you have put dwight mcneil in your starting lineup on off the left
interestingly um yeah interesting conversation on nico's corner yesterday about brennan johnson
and the criticism that he was getting from the media guys that show with nico sorry that show
with nico there was moments there where it did veer towards nico's corner yes
we started talking about double wives i've got to give that show a shout out i think um if you
haven't listened to it and have thought what's the point because it's not fpl relevant it's it's just
an enjoyable hour of your life go and listen to that show with nico nico james talking about
anything and everything uh but yes you did cover off uh some of that brennan johnson criticism i
think he's gonna be okay for everton but i don't think he's gonna be i think he'll get 25 30 star
you said 20 uh but i think he'll do all right because of what you said he he knows how to find
the back of the net there's numerous occasions where he spurs his top goal scorer right so
throughout the season tell me about these lineups i've done about numerous
well there was periods where you're like who's our top goal scorer jesus it's brennan johnson
because he'd always get on the end of back post stuff and whatever else i i genuinely really
hope brennan johnson does really well at everton i have got him in this predicted lineup i do
think there's a number of possibilities here with everton so as far as we know at the moment
james garner and christian norgaard are not going to make it that that seems to be how it looks at
the moment certainly in terms of game week one but moving forward i imagine that that's going
to be everton's first choice central midfield i think that gives them a bit of vulnerability
actually in terms of the game this weekend um so i've got it as pickford merlin roll right back
Tarkovsky-Branfrey-Mikalenko, Armstrong-Stanley,
hackney jewsbury hall and then right to left johnson barry and and die uh tarkovsky brantway
no problem mikalenko near certain he'll start jewsbury hall will start illman die will start
unless he transferred in the next 48 hours or so and obviously and i could play left or right but
he'll certainly play unless there's something from a transfer perspective will happen the reason i'm
not so confident on the rest of the central midfield makeup along with jewsbury hall is i
think it could easily be o'brien plays it right back and then roll maybe moves into midfield so
feel like it could be that all of those three midfield players play or it's just two of them
and under that circumstance i'm not sure who misses out uh barry probably gets the nod over
beto barry played the last friendly but i did have a look back for a piece i did for advanced
tier patrons last night and actually barry started the last friendly last summer and beto started
game week one so i wouldn't i wouldn't go near that
particularly johnson i think it will get the nod but tyler dibbling did okay actually by all
accounts in their friendly against lil at the weekend um and there's a few options they can
use they can even move merlin roll into a more advanced position tyric george could start and
maybe move in and die to the right so i wouldn't feel too comfortable on that i just have the vibe
that moises got to get motivation into johnson a bit of self-belief and i think the idea of just
starting against the team that he's just left is a good way to try and do that actually so i think
johnson might get the nod yeah i agree moise is actually um i think he's underrated as a as a man
manager i think he's pretty good at getting into the heads of the players so um i don't disagree
with you there hayden hackney fit and ready to go is he now because he did there was doubt so he'd
had a little bit of a knock yeah as far as i'm worried it's fine i did see an interview with
david moise last night where he spoke on the interview with david moise and he said he was
about having real caution about hackney and him needing a real period of adaptation from the
championship to the premier league it didn't come across in the way i read it that he envisaged him
being first choice at this moment but there's every chance he will start game week one because
missing players right palace i'll give you your 11 james you can tell us why you think who and what
you've got dean henderson in goal i'm not surprised they're pretty locked uh chris richards canvo as
well chaddy riad you haven't given a star to tarik mitchell left back you've gone with ming
gweiser right wing back some will be surprised minos flagged at the moment or just coming back
and we think he's going all right uh kamado wharton in the middle and then on the right
ishmael isar on the left you've gone with the new boy dwight mcneil against his former club
and uh you've gone with strand larson up top over mateta so this is the team that started
at the weekend um i think that they actually played 120 minute match uh i don't know if that
was split into three half hours or or four half hours rather what that looked like but this thing
testing it out mate it's fifa testing it out this this team played 70 plus of it um so i think that's
probably how it will go off from the start you've got a couple of factors here obviously i think
larson definitely starts by the way ahead of mateta mateta has in some itk circles been linked to
tottenham over the last couple of days but that's very light rumors it's not a transfer i'd expect
to happen but i wouldn't be surprised if mateta did leave the club he's a possibility um he's
obviously returned from the world cup he played minimal minutes last week jeremy pino not featured
yet i don't think so rory was of the opinion that mcneil would start then come the friendly it looks
right all the stuff that kind of rory said on correspondent week last week like came home to
in that friendly and he went okay i'm gonna have to trust his
opinion here because obviously we'd all pick daniel munoz right but mingueza is there ready
to go he can obviously cover center back as well so that's why i'm not not keen on chaddy riad
um in terms of feeling comfortable about that they bought another player
um who really basically is probably going to be um daniel munoz's replacement anankala lily
um who very nearly joined in at milan as denzel dumfries replacement but um hadn't had a medical
issue so he's now joined palace he's probably going to be the first twist right right wing back
he's been priced up at five million i'd probably be surprised if he goes straight into the team
at everton but we shouldn't rule it out as a possibility actually so but i i think it
probably will be that 11 just with a couple of kind of small question marks on it okay let's go
to uh nico's boys ipswich town hosting sunderland tractor boys um i'm going to go to nico's boys
i mean a lot of new signings that they've got in i think from what i can figure out from your
starting there's eight or nine new starters in that uh in that lineup uh sherpin in goal you've
got daro share it right back it's a diop jimmy greaves and leaf davis is the back four jimmy
crees jimmy crees uh florentino lukic uh in midfield you think nc so was it announced
yesterday or the day before i feel like nc so is last couple of days
you think nc so was it announced yesterday or the day before i feel like nc so is last couple of days
yeah you've got him going straight in in that potential number 10 role fatawu on the right
maya the who they picked up from celtic on the left and emerson up top fairly confident or you
got some doubts around there i'm fairly confident jimmy greaves passed away unfortunately i think
five years ago and he's probably still i know he's probably still better than jake just so you know
i think um jacob greaves is the questionable one in terms of the back line um could easily
be uh furlong plays at right back and daro shay moves to center back um they've also bought
another right back as well abdul utara uh i don't know if he's any relation to dango i don't think
he's he's right back so not improbable that he goes straight in but as per what paul said on
correspondent week o'shea diop davis pretty secure that signing of utara by the way is a more
offensive right back also leans into the idea of what paul said last week about they want to buy a
defensive left back and they're not going to buy a defensive left back and they're not going to buy
a defensive left back so they can shun it where okay they have a a kind of a movement towards
attack down the right or the left rather than davis is going to get quite advanced from this
position i think so pretty confident be back for three of that back four i'm very confident in
sherpan will play in goal don't have too much doubt about that sasa lukic will play in midfield
florentino is possibly the more interesting one in terms of midfield he didn't start the last
friendly he had an injury issue so that's where my lack of confidence in the midfield
him comes from if he's not available i imagine nunez will play in midfield similarly with fatu
on the right he also didn't feature in that friendly so confidence in that isn't hugely
strong at this moment made on the left feels like it could easily be jack clark i do yes have the
instinct that nc so actually will go straight in there is a gamble to that prediction pretty
confident emerson will start up front as the nine but every chance hip switch will go into the market
and that's what i'm going to do so i'm going to go straight in and i'm going to go straight in
another forward on value galley who's obviously the 4.5 forward i would not be at all surprised
if he starts every every chance that he'll start particularly if fatu is not available
if fatu is ruled out i think he probably will start um but i do think that if if he and insist
so are both available they'll start is my view at the moment so i don't think value will start but
chance you asked me again on friday i might say to you yeah i think you will i think they're going
to stay up you know hip switch of all of them i think they're going to stay up only only 17th i'm
not predicting any more than that but i think they're going to stay up i think they've been
pretty shrewd with their business and type of players they've done um they've not necessarily
i don't think they're building a squad or a team to be competitive but to definitely to at least
get 17 16th and and
and do all right and they always did okay at home let's see um sunderland we may as well do the same
thing as they win one game at home last time they was up chelsea no it was against chelsea yeah i
think yeah i remember that was a good game did they not win any others i felt like they did all
right at portman road they lost at home to southampton because he'd the last minute
they didn't beat my lot we won 4-1 now and we got battered in the first 10 minutes i don't know how
but anyway brennan johnson scored twice there you go
just let gabby bon lahore and jamie o'hara know that fact um sunderland we may as well copy paste
last seasons uh shall we because they look like they are well they haven't done much business
other than um one or two here but you've gone with robin rofson goal no surprise there reynaldo
oh nine ballard and mckielly at the back we know that alderweireld is not available
sadiki jacca has two in front you've got trey hume right wing
you've got trey hume right wing you've got trey hume right wing
enzo lefe and gula on the left and brian brobby up top
yeah i think probably eight of that 11 for game week one is pretty secure and there's multiple
different things that i think could happen with the other three so mckielly we don't know if he's
going to make it thomas munier we don't know if he's going to make it alderweireld we don't know
if he's going to make it so mckielly is the one that obviously had featured quite a bit
bit for Sunderland in the early part of pre-season so I've gone with
of theory here that if anyone makes it he's the one that's most likely to go straight into the
team um now if he does trey hume will probably play in front of him on the right hand side of
midfield if mckelly doesn't make it and if munier doesn't make it trey hume will play right back
so i do think trey hume will start i'm very confident that he started 34 to 38 games last
season i can't tell you right now whether that'll be right back or right midfield but whatever the
setup i do think he will play in in a circumstance where two of mckelly alderetti and munier all make
it and are all available to go i do think that makes luke o9 a slight risk the vibe from the
guys is very much he looks strongly like he's going to start game week one but i do think there
is a small risk there that munier is fit to play right back and he puts mckelly straight in at
center back and under that circumstance i think o9
is the one that misses out just a note on defensive as well the lad that i said they
were trying to buy from uh to lose i think mifali i think his name was that's fallen through at the
moment left back for about 25 odd million they've found a problem with the medical it doesn't mean
the deal's dead but they want to do some more tests so that could be off obviously if it is
we know that they definitively want a left back so i think reynaldo would have to be an overlook
so i think o9 is the one that misses out just a note on defensive as well the lad that i said they
will all start unless something goes wrong this week um and gulo i think would have the nod over
talby he's my view i do think there's a chance there that both start right if trey hume plays
right back they'll probably both play one on the left and one on the right it's i'd spoke about him
quite a bit with spencer last week and i'm interested in him but i can only be interested
in him at this moment i don't think i could go there
i do think there is a chance that talby would have the favoritism on him so i'm not
i'm not 95 confident on on angulo but i do think he'll start hank joined bj's wholesale club the
day he became a father of 30 i coach football now coach hank saves up to 25 off grocery store

you've got quite a lot of stars there and i i agree with you in terms of uh very similar setup to last
year as well but let's start with oliver glasner's nottingham forest you've gone with three at the
back as i don't think there's any doubt with glasner that that's what he wants to do um what
do you think the 11th is going to be uh i think this is pretty clear bar a couple of question
marks so sales in goal back three will be diamante malenkovich marillo aina will be safe to start the
i think that it's wednesday now if they bought a wing back now
he's still starting the season nico williams i i would imagine it's a in a right wing back
williams left wing back there's a small chance that's the other way around but i anticipate it
that way i'm pretty confident ibrahima sangari will start in midfield but i do think it it has
a little bit of risk for once the transfer window closes is my vibe at the moment i think as per what
said on monday's part i think james mcateen maybe he's going to get the nod alongside him
and i think from fray and doi gibbs white
behind igor jesus the only real question marks in the 11th for saturday for me he's mcateen if that
idea is wrong and it's schlager um and a little question mark on and doi mainly just probably more
on chris wood's fitness in the immediate that if he did want to start with chris wood because
of his a leader of powerful and physical team that i think it's more likely that igor jesus would
just drop back a position rather than igor jesus
not start game week one i should note on jesus stronger and stronger links i tried to sell him
to everyone on correspondent week last week but liam delap's name is getting mentioned in association
with not in the forest more and more so you want you want an awareness of that um but most of that
team i fix itself yeah yeah i think so question marks mcateen and doi really and the leeds team
i mean i'm off blagging it by not having 11 stars there because i'm pretty confident that'll be the
same team that's going to be the same team that's going to be the same team yeah trafford in goal the three new signings trafford muhrimovic and wilson straight in back three is the muhrimovic visual road on uh wingbacks justin on one side jen and bogle on the other you've got stack and amperdue in midfield and then the front three of uh aronson calvert lewin and wilson the one you haven't started is aronson on correspondent week ed said that wilson was the aronson replacement
but not for this week yeah i i just there's a small part of me thinks that might be okafora instead
that's it that's all that is um but i think if you ask nearly any leeds fan at the moment they'll
tell you that's that's the 11 and i think that's the only question mark goodmanson obviously is
injured at this moment in time so there feels very little doubt on james justin on justin versus
road on i prefer justin as a pick i do
think that there's something happens in the transfer market or as when goodmanson comes back
i think james justin's going to stay in this team even if that becomes right-sided center back
or small chance right wing back so i prefer justin as the choice of those 4.5 million defenders
muhammad which visual you should be fine with visual there's the caveat if they decide to
switch to a back four that would maybe be good news for joe road on and maybe it's not right for
for visual but
that's the expectation that it's very much what we saw for leeds for the last six months of last
season and that team very nearly picks itself for game week one they look well set leads i think
cool uh let's go to brentford v tottenham which is the 530 kickoff on saturday 530 uk time um bingo
with brentford you've gone with 11 starters here james kellerher in goal coyote ager collins lewis
potter as a back four uh midfield three you've got sangari yano and jensen in there with the
front three of utara tiago shardy yeah i just can't believe they're they're whacked iron
track frankfurt seven nil all of that team played 70 plus minutes with as far as we're aware no
issues i can't believe that it won't just get told run again yeah i'll just be really surprised
i think if i was to flag the the one that would most likely change for game week one i'd flag
jensen like there might be something that he wants there with say dams guard that looks a little bit
different that's the only one really i think now i do think i strongly think sangari will start
but i i do certainly acknowledge that his players there like dams guard yarmulke that i think put a
threat on it
definitely put a threat on his minutes a lot of the sangari defcon stuff he's defcon per 90 sangari
ease well he needs to get to 90 and they've got players that can definitely rotate in and around
that midfield area i do think he's going to get the nod from the start though it's dangerous player
scored in the friendly last week as well front three i think any threat from jayden anthony they
put that to bed at the weekend and certainly at least in terms of starting the season
um
i think tom would now be of the opinion by the way he's of the opinion sangari will start now
certainly for this game week but he's still cautious about him as an asset i think tom
would now say yeah probably is going to be lewis potter starts the season as the left back
yeah that's the more i've thought and i've thought about this one a lot because they're
obviously playing my team at the weekend i'll just be very surprised if that's not the team
as long as they're all fit all right your team um i'm not gonna lie james looking at your team on
paper that you've put down that you think will start it's getting bait makes me want to keep my
players and maybe even add to it uh you've got mckinsey and goal a back four of robertson
sanessi van heck archie gray midfield three tonali bergval gallagher ahead of them left wing matisse
tell mikey moore on the right and richarlison up top what's wrong where's injuries so no vanderven
what's what's wrong i finished last season i finished last season with two
with two available
shush yourself
I finished last season
with two available forwards
one is still very
raw and inexperienced in Matisse tell
the other can't run anymore which is
Richarlison I'm starting this season
with the same available
two forwards only
yeah I'm not happy
I'm not happy
where's Kulosevsky
he's not fit I thought Madison played some minutes
the other day yeah Madison
played 45 minutes of the second game
there's no way in the world he starts
0% chance
he's nowhere
near ready
he'll be way away from starting
football match I wouldn't be surprised
we play Charlton in the Carabao Cup next
midweek James Madison
might start that and play 45 to 60
maybe he's nowhere near ready
to start a Premier League game yet
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't
even start the Charlton game
he's not
he's not ready trust me
he shouldn't have played at the end of last season
he did it out of necessity and full credit to him
for doing it
but he's not fit enough yet
Kulosevsky is months away
Kudos I think there's a chance
Kudos might be in the squad
and I do think there is a small chance
that he starts if therefore
that's where he's at
Savinia I now assume
is not joining
which we'll probably come on to in a little bit
in relation to a Manchester City injury
because they maybe need to keep hold of him now
so I can only assume at this stage
that Mikey Moore starts on the right
and he's meant to be going on loan to Cologne
once we've got replacements in
and if Tottenham don't pull their finger out
he's going to be staying
he's not going to stay as a first choice
I must express to people
that's not even Mikey Moore's position
where's Mateus Fernandes?
I just don't think he'll start
I think he's going to stay
I think there's every chance he does
ahead of Bergwell
but if I'm being very honest
Lucas Bergwell was excellent
in the friendly on Saturday
and Mateus Fernandes wasn't in the friendly on Sunday
and Bergwell played
with Tenali and Gallagher on the Saturday
so I do think
there's every chance Bergwell starts
I have a little suspicion
that they're trying to keep him happy
until the window closes as well
I also
that said have a suspicion
that he's going to stay
that it's now been over 45 days
since we bought Sandro Tenali
and we know that Newcastle
have an interest in him
and once 45 days have passed
which I think it passes tomorrow
technically
Newcastle can buy him
and it's not considered
part of the same transaction
correct
because 45 days have passed
so whereas it would get investigated
if it was within that 45 day period
so there is a thought process
that maybe as of tomorrow
Newcastle may be
going for Lucas Bergwell
so Lucas Bergwell
I think has had a really good pre-season
I think there's every chance
that he'll get the nod
I won't be surprised
if it's Fernandes by the way
but that's how I've got it at the moment
Marcus Seneci I now think starts
but I don't know what's going on
with Mickey Van Der Veen
because the word
he's fine he's fine he's fine
I haven't seen him
what's going on
Marcus Seneci was at the World Cup
final
Mickey Van Der Veen was back
as the World Cup final was finishing
so I think Seneci probably as it stands
there's rumours of a knee problem
for Van Der Veen minor
if Mickey's fit he'll play
Seneci played really well alongside Van Hecker
on Saturday though
there's every chance he'll start
Archie Gray
I'm about 55% that he starts
and 45% Pedro Porro starts
I can't really split it
but it's another one that I think
Archie's been heavily involved in pre-season
there's every chance he'll get the nod
is it every chance by the way
if it's that line-up
is every chance he's going to captain the team
okay
let's go to Brighton v Villa then James
just Ritchie
he's going to start
yeah
Brighton v Villa
Brighton obviously announced the new striker
Promise David yesterday
which makes it interesting
for people that were gambling
or thinking that Rutter at 5.5
might be a good shout
clearly not going to
I say clearly
I wouldn't suspect it
he'll go straight into the team for Sunday
David
but do you think so
well you've got to remember
the awkwardness with Brighton is
if Brighton were playing tomorrow
this is what I've got on the screen
I'm sorry they are playing tomorrow
if they were playing Villa in the Premier League tomorrow
this team that I've got on screen
I'd be very confident
that would be the team
the Conference League
they're going to Tromso right
for the Conference League
first leg
excuse me
of the Conference League qualifiers
but you've gone with
Verbruggen in goal for Brighton
Cadioglu, Boscagli, Vuskovic
and Vifa
that's a
that's a
tongue teaser of a defence isn't it
Vuskovic, Boscagli, Cadioglu
Gross, Ayari in midfield
with Hinshawood alongside them
Gomez, De Kuyper
and Rutter up top
yeah De Kuyper obviously
their potential OOP
they've got issues with obviously
Matoma's still injured
Mintz is injured
Rutter can always
it's worth saying with Rutter
he can obviously drop into a deeper position
if David's going to go in as first choice
I don't think you could rule out the possibility
that Rutter starts Thursday night
and then David starts Sunday
I don't think you can rule out the possibility
that Rutter starts Thursday
and Costula starts on Sunday
so with David coming in now
I think any idea of going Rutter
as the 5.5
is probably off the table
I've done this based on kind of players
that I'm pretty confident
will start Sunday
even if they play Thursday night
so I think that's
Vifa, Cadioglu, Gross, Hinshawood, Gomez
on Hinshawood
a few people have flagged
that they feel like we've not discussed him enough
in pre-season
so I'll do it now
he finished last season really well
we spoke about him a little bit
on Correspondent Week
and just felt that he'd come in
probably 0.5 more
than what we wanted to pay
not because he's not worth 6 million
we agree that he's right
that he got priced up
to 6 million
but the fact that Gross
is 0.5 cheaper
and Gomez looks like
he's definitively going to start
for a million cheaper
is why I just think
most people will look past him
but if anybody really likes
Jack Hinshawood as a pick
I don't have a problem with that
by the way
so
DeKuyper 4.5 OOP
obviously there's every chance
he could start left wing
I think that's dangerous
I think there's every chance
they're obviously going to go into the market
as you've seen with David
and there might be
something else comes in
as well
the best news
if you want to go Vuskovic
I think will be
if he doesn't start tomorrow night
if he doesn't start tomorrow night
I'd be extremely confident
he starts on Sunday
that might sound weird
that's the way I view it
in my mind at this moment
right
you've obviously got
Dunk can obviously play centre-back
Pascal Strauch
can obviously play centre-back
they've got other players
Svoboda
can also play there
so
it's not to say that
if he does start
he can't start
he can't start Sunday
but that would be enough
to put me off personally
I'd be more encouraged
if he doesn't start
tomorrow night
it's
you've got to
kind of look at it
player to player
so don't
what I've just said about Vuskovic
don't take that for
for Gross or Gomez
that's what I'm saying
I think V for Cadioglu
Gross, Hinchwood, Gomez
are the ones
if they start on Thursday night
in Norway
I still think they start Sunday
the others I'm not sure about
so
Brighton is
unclear
at this moment
but
it's
it could easily be that
exact 11
Villa
it's
it's a bit of a mess
at the moment
so
at the moment
I've got Marco Bissot
in goal
but as said
Zion Suzuki
confirmed signing
this morning
every chance
he'll go straight in goal
last year
Kalaha
the Bravka
and
Hermansen
were
or I don't think
Hermansen was
I think it was a strange one
that
Hermansen
surprised us
but the Bravka
and Kalaha
came in
and were signed
the week
before the season started
and went straight in
yeah
so I don't think
we should be
it's a goalkeeper right
he's been bought
to be number one
he's definitely going in goal
Suzuki will play
against Arsenal
let me put it that way
in game week two
there's every chance
he'll play game week one
back four
I'm confident
these all start
but not necessarily
all in the back four
so
Cash
Lindelof
Torres
Mattson
I think Barkley
might get the nod
alongside Kamara
Buendia in front of that
McGinn probably
from the right
as said on
Monday's part
I think there's every chance
Hemmings will start
Tammy Abraham
is a little bit of a
he's had a little bit
of a shoulder
I think shoulder complaint
but we think he'll be okay
to start the game
on Sunday
Ollie Watkins
has been heavily linked
with a move
for sort of
45-50 million pounds
to Al Hill
some have reported
that Watkins
is keen on the move
I'm keen on
Tottenham Hotspur
picking up the phone
well you are
throwing the money around
but whether you're going
to match the wages
of Al Hill
I don't know mate
I think the transfer fee
you can pay
but you want to pay
those kind of salaries
as well
tax free
I need something
proven in this league
and he's it
so
I'm looking at
the Villa guys
a little bit distressed
I think with what's
happening at the moment
moment a bit because they are that, let's be honest, that team
looks thinner than what it has done, right?
You've ripped, you might be ripping Watkins out of that.
Tielemans, Rodgers, you've ripped out of that.
You might be ripping Conta out of that.
You've ripping Martinez out of that.
It's a concern.
So, yeah, I don't think Villa are going into the weekend
in the best state, to be honest.
The reason I'm not sure on the way to back four
playing together, but I do think they're all start,
is if Conta plays, and there's every chance he does,
I think that looks more likely for a game week one start
than Watkins at the moment.
If Emery goes, yeah, right, Conta's ready,
he goes straight in, I think Lindelof will play in midfield.
That's something we saw towards the end of that season.
I don't know how suitable that is,
that he would partner with Kamara.
They're also signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Has that gone through, has it, Serge?
It's a loan with an obligation to buy,
has been confirmed.
They've got to pick him up for 25 million
at the end of the season.
But yeah, he'll be. He'll be an Aston Villa player this season.
There's no reason to think he'd go straight in the team
instead of Matty Cash.
None.
Particularly when, I guess, the biggest concern for them
almost looks offensively,
and Cash is an offensive right-back.
Similar for Ian Mattson on the left-hand side.
They've also announced Mathieu Riguri this morning as well.
They announced those two signings five minutes apart.
But there's no reason to think Mattson won't still start
game week one.
But there is obviously competition for his place
at left-back moving forward.
A bit concerned about them at the moment.
And it'll be interesting to see how they fare
because game week two doesn't get any easier.
I'd be a lot more concerned about them
if Unai Emery wasn't their manager.
Yeah, true.
Right.
Manchester City versus Bournemouth.
Obviously, no Jeremy Docky in your predicted starting line-up
because he's out for a little while.
And this is why I understand you think
Savinio won't be leaving.
There's going to be plenty of people that forgot
Jack Grealish was even there.
And he is in your line-up.
Talk us through the XI.
Oh, I have very little. Little confidence in Jack Grealish starting.
I don't know who to put there.
One option is Tomenio to the left
and maybe it's Savinio on the right.
You play Phil Foden on one side of the pitch
is a possibility.
Yeah, they use one of the younger players
that they use the number in pre-season
is not beyond possibility as well.
Ait Nouri, left wing.
Yep.
That's probably more suitable
than I thought.
I don't like O'Reilly as a touchline-holding player,
but I think Ait Nouri could do that job.
But what I reflected back on
is something I'd said previously about
Maresca wanting players
that could dictate people on 1v1.
Ait Nouri can do it.
Jack Grealish actually is the natural dribbler.
And obviously, it was he that came on at halftime
on Sunday.
Okay, so. That leads me to think that he's every chance
and I actually put that confidence
at probably less than 50%,
but it's every chance that he's the one
given the start for game week one.
It could be Savinio.
I'm not sure about that.
What it does mean is it makes a number of other players
much safer, like Semenyo.
Clearly, that's clearly 95-plus percent start
and you won't feel like that too often this season,
I don't think.
So I've got it like this.
So, same backline as the weekend against Arsenal.
Donnarumma, Kusinov, Diaz, Vardio, O'Reilly.
And essentially, the same team,
despite how poor it was.
So, Kovacic, Anderson, Foden, Semenyo, Haaland
with the one enforced change of Doku coming out.
Yes, I have it as Grealish there at the moment.
I recognise not many people are going to agree
with that opinion.
I think that position is up for grabs.
Could be one of three or four different options.
I think there's a chance that Kovacic comes out,
the team, they move forward with this in Anderson
in a six and say Cherky comes into the team
is a possibility.
I think there's every chance Gay will come in the team
for Diaz as well.
I feel like something wants chopping up from Sunday
because obviously it wasn't good.
Nowhere near it for their standards.
Nico Gonzalez has been heavily linked to a move
to Newcastle, which seems odd when Rodri's gone
and there's some issues there.
So I think we can probably expect them to really push
through for Bouadi and maybe Enzo Fernandes still
as a possibility.
That's now a bit light in the wide areas.
That makes Semenyo more appealing to some.
It will make him less appealing to others
because I think he's going to have to hold that touchline
even more is a possibility.
So I think that I'm still going to captain Haaland,
by the way, because I think there'll be goals
in that game on Sunday.
So that's enough for me.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bournemouth
get something.
Well, how often do we say that about Bournemouth
when they come up against the big boys
and they very, very often did last season.
Remember, there's a Bournemouth team
that haven't lost since the 3rd of January
as highlighted on Correspondent Week last week.
They haven't lost a game in eight months.
Yeah.
Different manager, different circumstance.
That's also true.
But looking at the lineup that you've put out, James,
pretty familiar, I would say.
Yeah, there's a few question marks
that Tyler Adams didn't play the last friendly.
This is a bit of a doubt.
Unfortunately, he does have injury issues.
Otherwise, I think he would play.
I've got it like this.
So Petrifician goal, Adam Smith probably right back.
There's every chance when Lou Sanchez will play.
I thought just specifically for this one,
I thought about the fact that I'm not sure
what Man City is going to do on the left-hand side.
And therefore, there's a chance Marco Rose
might go on the side of caution with his pick.
There, rather than throw the young lad in,
who I'm pretty sure is going to be born
with first choice right back, throw him in
and he gets killed by someone out there game one
because he doesn't know what he's up.
He might suddenly be up against Semenya unexpectedly, right?
So I think there's a chance Smith might start.
It'll be one of those two.
I think Antonio Silva does stop alongside James Hill.
Traffair left back.
Alex Scott was suspended for the last friendly.
We'll play probably with a chance.
We'll play with Adams if he makes it.
And then Ray-Anne, Evan Nilsson, Cliver, Tavernier.
Pretty confident in that front four
will be the starting front four.
On Silva, I presume if you were picking him,
you probably weren't going to start him this week anyway.
But yeah, it was kind of similar thought process here.
Your debut might be against Haaland.
If like you're not clued, it's little things like,
you know, when the press, when they sit off.
If you're not, you don't feel like the adaptation is right.
And then I think there's maybe a small chance
that just for the first game,
Diakite would maybe get a nod.
But I mean, Iriola went off Diakite massively last year.
So James Hill was there at standing defender now.
So it doesn't matter who you are,
whether it's your first game or your 50th game,
Haaland can still murder you.
So I'm, I don't know, with Silva, let's see.
Yeah.
I love all the strong opinions on Haaland, by the way.
This happens every year after the Community Shield.
People adamant that you have to have him
or people adamant that it's a mistake if you have him.
The right answer probably sits somewhere in between,
unless he does really well, in which case, yeah.
And I still think he will.
We've been here every year with his underperformance
in Community Shield.
He's friendly.
Haaland doesn't give a shit about that.
He'll be motivated for Sunday.
Though we weren't good.
That is the massive caveat.
They weren't good Sunday,
but they were playing the best team in the league.
Haaland became a father of 30.
I coach football.

Yeah.
Alrighty.
Where to next, James?
St. James's.
Go on then, St. James's.
James, tell us.
Yeah, I mean, quite a bit of guessing here
on Newcastle, I must say.
So, I've got it at the moment
as a horny checking goal,
Mr. Horny, Horny, Horny.
They've signed a new right-back,
Dedic, from Benfica.
He's not priced up yet.
He'll be 4.5 or 5.
I don't think you'll be buying him
either way to start with,
but I think there's every chance
he goes straight into the team
because they're obviously very light there.
Lewis Miley's brother,
there's every chance if he doesn't,
there's every chance
Lewis Marley's brother
might start there
there's also a
chance lewis miley might start there uh malik chow will play i think it will be dan burn over
bartman uh we think dan burn's going to be named captain seems to be the word lewis hall at left
back i've got it as streer and lewis miley in midfield the only reason i don't have lewis
miley starred there basically is because he obviously is returning from an injury and hasn't
had a huge amount of pre-season but did feature last weekend um elenga visabons i'm pretty
confident would all play and i think voltamante will play as well the reason i'm just not quite
as confident on voltamante who did play with viscer on saturday it's just if he decides to
go with something that's a little bit more conservative or has a little bit more legs
in that area because they are playing liverpool uh so viscer over voltamante i think if he'd want
a choice between the two but yeah hornacek chow hall elenga viscer barnes are the ones i'd be
confident
in essentially i feel like their midfield can be it could end up being a completely different
composition for sunday specifically they are trying to do business dead itch might come
straight in burn obviously hasn't played pre-season so it could still be bartman but i know there's
concerns about his performances at the moment so yeah they need to do business mate don't they and
they do have for them they do they've they've cashed in a little bit so they've got we know
they've got a little bit of a war chest so uh them and aston villa are the ones yeah we've got to keep
eyes on because there could be a bit of a drop off even though newcastle season last season wasn't
what they would expect or hope for liverpool right liverpool i've seen your starting lineup for
liverpool uh people on youtube will see on screen and the first thing i wanted to zoom in on and
check was rio and gomoa's price because i'd love that to be a a game breaker in fpl if he had a
season the way he established himself and it's
really interesting you've moved him over to the right hand side going back to front for liverpool
you've got allison in goal back four of kirke's van dyke jacquet frimpong midfield graven birch
subosh light ahead of them vertz gackt off the left rio and gomoa off the right and isak up top
you think right wing is in gomoa's favored position and he just couldn't play there because
salah was there or do you think
no he's desperation left definitely left greater inability to come inside or go on the outside
and on the right it's more on the right coming in field there's a little uncomfortable for him at
the moment it's going to be very similar kind of similar situation to mikey more um they'd both be
better off off the left hand side i think because it stands and gomoa will start there um it's not
going to be 90 minutes if he does um got a factor in monoz
he's obviously at the club could play that position we think they're trying to buy bradley
barkler and um buyer from paris saint-germain so there are threats incoming to that position
so do i like rio and gomoa at this moment as an fpl pick no but as i've said across the last week
there will be a point i'm fairly certain over the next couple of years where we will want to go down
so he's he's always just what he's just one for the radar i think moving forward constantly
the only other one really from that lineup i'm unsure on is jackay versus arojo so
everyone who watched liverpool on sunday was extremely impressed with how jackay played
but it was 45 minutes and he's obviously he's not really played for five six months
that a question mark on then is one thing to do a planned substitution in a friendly for 45 minutes
you don't really want to do that in a proper game i don't think really want to do it for a debutant
if it was like bringing in a player who's been playing for a long time and he's been playing for a long time
joe gomez on for the last 20 minutes and he's played with van dyke for the last six years or
whatever you got okay he knows what verge wants to do arojo would be the replacement under that
circumstance i don't know if you want to piss about with that in the middle of a game because
i think he's possibly going to struggle to get to 90 so i do think there's a chance that he's
arojo rather than jacko i do think there's a small chance it's both as a consequence and maybe
frimpong plays a little bit higher might be an alternative but frimpong's basically a little bit higher
he kind of played right back all through pre-season so jacko might end up being a really
good pick you know surge but a very difficult one to to start with start with you can't remember
he's not really played football for six months basically yeah so the rest i see no reason why
that wouldn't be the rest of the team obviously there's been gapo rumors but even despite those
rumors i think he starts sunday i'd be very surprised if anything else happens to him
anything happens if he goes anywhere it's going to be tartan i'd be very surprised if anything
happens between now and then yep okay uh last but not least we've got the west london derby james
fulham hosting chelsea on monday night football um yeah so uh two new managers coming up against
each other are both around madrid last season right uh shit i hadn't found that parallel but
that's absolutely
amazing yeah round madrid's two managers from last season they're playing each other in game
one of the premier league um and they're both in the same part of west london yeah that's that's
quite something i hadn't yeah very good surge congratulations give yourself a rise mate
pretty confident on both of these teams i think there's a small question marks about maybe one or
two players for fulham but i'm pretty confident this will be the fulham 11 so uh leno in goal
castanho started the last two friendlies so with no reason to think he's not ahead of kenny tete at
this point um jockey manderson's obviously suspended so bassy and quenca bassy will play
right-sided centre-back we're pretty confident i've seen that it's uncomfortable uh ante robinson
left back it won't be in santa berge josh king in front of that oscar bob on the right palacios on
the left garcia up front the question marks on that a little bit is
a little bit on king and palacios if shea charles plays that's the only one i can think maybe with
many of these lineups is starting what could change and i feel like that's the only bit at
the moment is maybe shea charles now shea charles would play centrally if he plays could that shove
king into a wider area or does it just shove king out the same king obviously not great from a wide
position but it could be a big ask for palacios and garcia both to start against an opponent like
chelsea in one
i think they will um but i think shea charles is the one that could chop it up for one of king or
palacios maybe other than that the rest of that nine should all start i think uh i got nine i'm
pretty confident on for chelsea as well so on on um on that team that you've put out for chelsea
when i look at it on paper james bar the goalkeeper i think it looks pretty bloody good
football team there but they've been linked to martinez as well yeah yeah
by the way that's a pretty good football team there he's also been linked with tottenham emmy
martinez which i'm i'm gonna put my foot throw on say that's not gonna happen but i wouldn't be
surprised if you got top i wouldn't be surprised if you got top of chelsea yep even though it's
like oh find a pathway for penders now over the course of the next year and they go no we're
gonna shove you back the third choice um so look i mentioned that martinez and say forest the other
day i do think you want an awareness of that at the moment you know just where could martinez go
because you've got uh the goalkeepers played in the last two world cup finals someone's going to
think that's a great option it's not necessarily in this country obviously could go abroad but he
never went to juventus because the salary demands right so how many places could he go yeah it's
true i think you might end up at psj because i don't like i'm not happy with saffron off for a
chevalier in gold we all know we all know i'm really not keen so let me read you this chelsea
lineup you've gone with robert sanchez and goa quite a Greek
back three set up with colwell lacroix and reese james two in front of them caicedo and
fernandez you've got palestra on the left and netto on the right operating as wingbacks
with two tens palmer and rogers behind xiao pedro like it's a good team that midfield two
caicedo fernandez solid that back three is very very good palestra netto offers some width and
pace out there i don't know how good they'll be at tracking back or how much they'll be at tracking back
they'll need to rogers and palmer behind xiao pedro like that it's strong man
it absolutely is um no arguments on that at all i do think there are drop-offs to certain positions
like you could take out a key player from that like xiao pedro and you go ah it's short on the
nine i take caicedo a short or something um i think the quad's great addition for them by the
way as long as they play this system um reese james played in midfield in the final friendly
um sorry against caicedo with caicedo wesley for fun obviously started at center back he's suspended
so i think reese james will move into right-sided center back for the first couple
that obviously then opens the spot for enzo fernandez to come back in the 10
and so fernandez by all accounts did really well when he came on the other day
he obviously has been linked with a move away it's still something that could happen in my opinion
do you any other one i think rogers is great to go now as i said on monday by the way if anyone
wants to go
The one I've got a question mark on a little bit is Neto.
It's just a small question mark in the sense he's also been linked to a couple of other teams, potentially.
I do get the vibe that if Chelsea got an offer they were happy with, they would sell him.
And there are other obvious options.
For example, maybe it's wrong or maybe Rhys James will play wingback is a possibility.
Jamie Gittins, I think, could play the role on the left-hand side.
And Palestra is equally comfortable playing left or right.
It doesn't seem to matter for him.
And they've also bought, so moving Palestra to the right, another possibility here.
They've bought Pep Chavarria from Real Vallecano, who's been priced up at £5 million, can definitely play the left wingback role.
And we've not seen how that really gets integrated yet.
So I think Palestra is good to go.
Just a small question mark on Neto.
But as it stands, I think he'll start.
Cool.
There we go.
I think it's a pretty decent rundown on all of the teams.
Obviously, some a little bit more certain than others.
What have we got for the rest of the week for the listeners, James?
We've got a special guest on Friday now.
Yeah.
Ask James Thursday, tomorrow.
And then we're going to do final drafts Friday.
And yeah, Mr. Hunter is joining us now.
So it's going to be a threesome, darling.
Lovely.
Caveats.
See these predicted lineups for people to take away.
First thing is my opinion.
If you disagree with that or you've got better insight on something than me, then praise to you.
That's absolutely fine.
Let us know in the comments, feedback, the stuff you disagree with, what you think might be different.
Please remember to be nice to each other, including to me and such.
There are things here that could obviously change.
Give you an example.
Later today, Watkins goes to Al-Hilal and Villa take Jackson on loan from Chelsea.
I think there's every chance.
Jackson will start on Saturday.
If Savino did join Tottenham today, which I now cannot foresee at all, he will start on Saturday.
So there are still a few things and a few certain circumstances that I think something could still change.
I think the deadline for registration, I would think, is 12 o'clock Friday.
I would think.
I don't know if that's any earlier for Arsenal and commentary because they're playing night one.
And because it's a Friday deadline, there's a possibility.
That registration may actually be tomorrow on Thursday.
But be aware.
Obviously, listen to team news.
And obviously, you can get the team news with me for advanced here on Patreon.

Summary:
In this episode of Planet FPL, hosts Sutch and James analyze predicted starting lineups for all 20 Premier League teams ahead of game week one, following their earlier shortlist show. They stress that these predictions are their own opinions, subject to change due to transfers, injuries, or late team news, and advise listeners not to overthink or over-tinker. The discussion covers each team systematically, starting with Arsenal vs.
, Mikel Merino vs.
