The War Chapter 1 Timilbear stared at the gates of eternity. Every time he looked upon the holy city, it was as if it were the first time again. The indescribable beauty of the gods domain always brought tears to his eyes as he gazed up into the infinite. Tim tore his eyes away from the architecture of the divine realm and studied the gathering of themy gods. Many faces Tim recognized as warriors and heroes of old. Uremil, Adran, Kruger, and Durginov to name a few. The demigods mingled and talked amongst themselves, exchanging theories on why so many beings of power have been brought to the Great Hall when there was a divine war to be won. A hush fell over the congregation as a thunderous wave echoed from the halls, and the all-father thalawr called attention to his daughter, Lunara the Silver Mist. Tim turned his attention to Lunara, a tapestry of a appear to be a million diamonds lighting the air around her. Yet this veil only seemed to enhance her beauty and complement her every divine aspect. Chosen of the divine, you have been called here to defend your homes and all of a theory. Lunara breathed deeply, seemingly looking into the eyes of each individual gathered before continuing. Veranath and his traders have come out of hiding in force. In a foolish attempt to confuse the children of thalawr, the rebels have struck at multiple targets throughout the plains. These targets include the first city of Herbes Rekweum on a theory, the Citadel of Shadow and Nocturnus, the field of battle in Ardenia, and the veil of fate in Sanwell. But such an attack as a fools errand for we know Veranath's true intention is to overwhelm the defense in Nocturnus and reclaim his seat of power in the Citadel of Shadow. Lunara paused and gazed around the room, allowing the wait of her words to settle into the hearts of the crowd. The one who has cast out seeks vengeance on his sister Solara and her daughter, Farion, who took his throne once he was stripped of his power by the blessed thalawr. Veranath's forces are numerous and he has recruited allies that are powerful indeed. But we have you, the Seraphim of Thalawr, mighty demigods we are glad to call her children. You shall be sent out to destroy the evil at our doorstep and remove the tank to Veranath from a theory. Auxier rose from the gathered Seraphim and Tim found himself infected with the enthusiasm and rage that had overtaken his kin as a crystalline mists fell upon the crowd of demigods. The God of War are a gaff. Spoke within Tim's mind as clueies if he had said the words aloud. You, Tim Elvarez, shall go with Irriman, Durganov and Berkstra, to the steps of Irbiz Requiem. There you will quell the carnage on the steps. Lord Durganov's lead and break the enemy so that this is the last battle of this cataclysmic war. When our gaff went silent, Tim saw that he was now within a staging room. The rooms walls were white marble lined with gold and dark oak infurnishings. Stone and wooden tables lined the walls of the octagonal room, each had a spread of armor and divine equipment. There, standing in the room with him, was Berkstra, elderberry brouge, the guardian of Hallendor, Oral Waldron, the chosen of Thalor, and Durganov, the black scourge. Tim knew the names of almost all the demigods, but the being the presence of such figures as Durganov at Oral made his hands tremble. "Ah, Elvarez is it?" asked Berkstra, as he flashed a friendly grin at Tim. Berkstra was a short but sturdy looking dwarf, with dark brown hair and white wooden armor that glimmered like the sun. Tim reached into his mind and attempted to recall all that he had learned of the dwarf's heroics, and led to his ascension as the demigod of Korvikar, the eternal sentinel. Tim smiled as he responded, "Yes! Tim Elvarez the cursed, at your service!" Master Berkstra out. He bowed as he continued, "It is an honor to serve alongside the hero who protected the Halfling City of Hallendor for twenty-three decades. One day you must tell me your tale yourself." The dwarf's grin widened. "Ah, it was just defending my home and herds, sir, but after this business is done, perhaps I shall." Tim turned and bowed to Uramil and Durganov. "My lords, my service is to you as well. I pray that I will be of use to you in the battles to come." Uramil put aside his arrows and stood to face Tim. "There is no need for such pleasantries, Tim. You have been assigned to the Vanguard. I am honored that mighty Thalaur has put you by my side this day, despite what others may think of you." Tim couldn't help but admire Uramil. The savani was elegant as a serpent with silvery green armor and red and orange hair like the color of fall. Tim brought his gaze to meet Uramil's and straightened, "Thank you, my lord," he said. "That is great praise!" Common from Thalaur's chosen defender of Atheria. Uramil bowed with a warm smile before turning back to his armorments. Tim turned to Durganov and said, "It will be an honor to quell the enemy ranks alongside the black scourge." As he spoke, Tim could feel his hands tremble again at the sight of the first warlord. Durganov stared down at him from the immortal high of the Gorthans, his dark pale skin and eerie contrast to the burning red hair that flowed down his shoulders. Durganov said nothing but radiated an aura of power that made Tim's heart sink and his stomach churn. Tim strained once more and moved away from the right hand of the God of War. "Excuse me, but I must prepare for the coming battle with what little time we have left to us." He said, before turning his attention to the marvels I've been prepared for him. The table that Tim was drawn to had a weapon that perfectly captivated the essence of his domain. Sitting atop a cloth of crimson silk was an assortment of crystals, each associated with the realm in which they had been created. Thinking the crystals together was a chain of darkness, representing the corruption of a theory of bivarinath. Tim lifted the artifact and admired the craftsmanship of the weapon. He focused his mind and poured mana into it, and as he did, the chains of ban in the crystals as they snaked around his wrists, leaving the crystals to hover in the air, humming with power. Energy raced through Tim's veins as dark memories returned to him of the day he became a chosen of bivarinath.
