Speaker 2In the name of the Exalted, we give you all glory and all praise. Our Father, thank you for this blessed Sunday afternoon. You are everything to us, dear Lord Jesus. Open our eyes to behold wondrous things out of thy law. Yes, Lord. Thank you, Lord. We open up to receive from you the riches of understanding. Yes, Lord. We give you all praise for the life you've loved us. And blessed Holy Spirit, have your eminence in this place. Our eyes are all opened. Our eyes are all opened to see the wondrous and the glory of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and his marvelous work, which he has fulfilled for us. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that in all of eternity, we will be praising you for what you've done for us. In the endless ages of the glorious eternity, we will be praising you for what you've done for us. when he cometh into the world he saith sacrifice and offerings thou wouldest not a body has not prepared me verse 6 invent offering and sacrifices for sundown thou has had no pleasure then said i lo i come in the volume of the book it is written of me to do thy will oh god this is concerning our lord jesus christ it was written of him to do him god's will jesus christ came to the earth to do god's will praise god what is that will what will did he come to do now this is the next the next verse above when he said sacrifice and offerings and bent offerings for sin bent offerings and offering for sundown would have not neither has pleasure therein which are offered by the law let's go on then said i lo i come to do thy will oh god he take it away the first that he might establish the second hallelujah the will of god what jesus came to perform was to take away the first that he might establish the second that's the will of god that's the will of god Praise God. Many years ago, I had this friend, and he was preparing to marry, but the marriage didn't come on. The relationship, there was a breakup. And he was so sad, but when I met him, I told him that, look, he took her away the first, that he might establish a second. I said, don't worry, the second will be established. But that's not the meaning of this. The meaning is that he would take away the first testament, the first covenant, that he might establish the second. That is called the new testament, or the new covenant. That's the will of God. So Jesus came to do the will of God. The will of God was to take away the first covenant, and to establish the second covenant. The second covenant is called the new testament. Hallelujah. So the reason Jesus came was to establish the new what? Testament. So I want us to, we are in the new testament disposition. I want us to understand God's dealings and what it means to be in the new testament and to participate in the blessing of the new testament. Hallelujah. So Jesus came to establish the second, which in context is the second testament. Not the first, not the old. Not the old testament, but with his own blood, the new covenant. Hallelujah. So let's go to Hebrews chapter 8. Now we read from 7 to verse 13. Hebrews 8, from verse 7 to verse 13. For if the first covenant had been faultless, there should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord. I will put my laws into their minds. I will put my laws into their minds and write them in their hearts. I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. And they shall not teach every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord. For they shall know me from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, a new covenant, he has made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. Hallelujah. Thank you. Let's go to verse 7. Verse 7. For if the first covenant had been faultless, there should no place be sought for the second. Okay. The first covenant had fault. So God brought in a second covenant, which is without fault. The first one had fault. Verse 8. Verse 9. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt. The first covenant, which is the old covenant. The first covenant. You know when it happened. It happened at Mount Sinai. When they came out of Egypt. That is when the Ten Commandments were given. That is called the Old Covenant. Praise God. The Old Covenant was a given of the Ten Commandments. We call it the Mosaic Covenant or the Sinaitic Covenant. The Ten Commandments was given. But the Bible says God found fault. God found fault. There was a problem. It really couldn't help us. So God decided to change it. Since he found fault, he brought Christ to establish a new covenant. Because the first one didn't really help us. It didn't help us. Okay. All right. Let's see. Let's go to chapter 7, verse 18 and 19. Now let's read verse 19 first. For the law made nothing perfect. You see, the law couldn't do anything. The law made nothing perfect. It couldn't make our marriages perfect. It couldn't make our finances perfect. It couldn't make our relationships perfect. And the most important thing is that it couldn't make we and our relationship with God perfect. It couldn't. But the bringing in of a better hope did by which we draw nigh to God. So there had to be a new covenant to bring in. Something that would bring us. Something that would make us close to God. See, the law is very. Someone will ask, are we under the law or not? You should know the answer. We are not under the law. In fact, we are not even under the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments is the law. But there is no problem with the law. Because the law. There is no problem with dash and no steal, dash and no kill. There is no. It's correct. But the law is like a mirror. When you are coming to church, you are stood in front of a mirror. You can see certain mistakes. The makeup is not even. This place. The tint and the tones. Are not perfect. this place is darker than this place. You can't come out like that. The law can show you how you look, but it will never help you correct the mistake. So it can show you all your faults, but it can never help you. So it made nothing perfect. What the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh. It couldn't help us. So actually, when you get to verse 18, the Bible says the law became useless. I'm not the one saying it. That the law is useless. Look at verse 18. King James, the English is too high. Give me amplified version. Amplified. So, for on the other hand, a formal commandment is cancelled because of its weakness and uselessness. Because of its inability to justify the sinner before God. So, because of what? Its weakness and uselessness. So the law became weak and useless. Because it couldn't help us. You understand? Because, if God wants to accept you based on the law, then you have to be as holy as Jesus. In thought, in word, and in action. 60 seconds a minute. 60 minutes an hour. The rest of your life. That is the only means by which God can accept you. God's standard cannot bring you down. His holiness is so high. So, the law, also dependent on what we can do to be accepted by God. And even the best we did couldn't qualify us. So, the Bible says that it couldn't just be a sinner. It made nothing perfect. Praise God. So, there was a necessity for Jesus to come. So, the reason is that when you read the law, which is the 10 commandments, you find the word thou shalt, thou shalt not. Now, how many thou shalt? Thou shalt, thou shalt, you see in the 10 commandments. 10. The thou shalt, if you number them, they are 10. 10. But when you read Hebrews 8, where we read. Now, let's go back to Hebrews 8, King James. So, when we talk about the New Testament, let's go on verse 9. Verse 10. So, for this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord. So, this is actually the new covenant. There are three blessings in the new covenant. Which embodies every type of blessing. The first one is, I will put my loss into their mind and write it in their heart. And I'll be to them a God and they shall be to me a people. Now, look at the terms, I will. I want you to count them. For this is the covenant, that's I will. One. I will. Put two. I will. Three. The next verse. The next verse. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness and their sins and iniquities will I. So, there are five. There are five. So, thou shalt not extend. Then, in the new covenant, God says, I will. So, there's a difference. Thou shalt means you are the one doing it. Thou shalt. Thou shalt. So, it depended on you. It's all about what you can do, what you can earn, what you can merit. So, the old covenant was about earning and deserving. But the New Testament, what you read is, I will. I will. I will. So, it's not us. The I will is mentioned five times. Five is the number of grace. Ten is the number of the law. I will. I will. I will. I will. Five times. So, if God says, I will, I will, then what do we do? Believe. Our part is to believe. It's to believe what we have done. So, the old covenant was earning and receiving. The New Testament is believing. The old covenant was earning and receiving. The old covenant was earning and deserving. The new covenant is what? Believing and receiving. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And everything is by believing. Believing. Believing. And God begins to work through us. He works through us. He works through us. Hallelujah. The new covenant is supposed to give you a better life than the old covenant. Praise God. It's supposed to cause you to live. To live well than the old covenant. The old covenant will bring you into bondage. The new covenant will give you a better life. But you must know how it operates. It operates. For instance, look at 1 Corinthians 15, verse 56. 1 Corinthians 15, verse 56. Look at it. The sting of death is sent. And the strength of sin is the law. Do you know that? Can you imagine? So, the law did not strengthen you against sin. The law strengthens sin against you. Isn't it clear? In fact, the Greek word says, the dunamis. The dunamis. Ye shall receive power. The dunamis, the power of sin, is the law. So, because the law actually requires your strength to obey. And when, now, if I have a glass of water here, okay, and there's death beneath the water. The top is clean. The down is dirty. The water is sediment. The water is fine. But if I take a spoon and I mix it, then all the death comes up. Do you know that the flesh, your flesh is not born again. It's your spirit that is born. This flesh is not born again. It's your spirit that is born again. There is still sin in the flesh. So, the law requires your fleshly ability to obey. So, the point is that if you see thou shalt not and you try with your ability to obey it, the law is like the mixing spoon. That stirs up all the desires in the flesh so that when you are trying to avoid it, now, the desires now come up and now puts you into bondage. So, what you don't want to do, that is what you begin to do. Do you understand? Yeah. So, actually, the law actually strengthens sin against you. That is why you have to bring a better covenant so that we can reign above sin, sickness, disease, and everything. Hallelujah. Are you here with me? Alright. So, I want us to examine the content of the New Testament package. Let's go back to Hebrews chapter 7. From verse 10. From verse 10. So, verse 10 says that this is what God will do when he gives the new covenant. Number one, he says, I will put my laws into their mind and I will write them in their hearts. I will explain what this is. That's the number one. So, number one, God will put his laws in our hearts and our mind. Number two, I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people. That's number two. Number three, no, that's not number three. There's another one. The next verse. Yes. And they shall not teach every man his neighbor and every man his brother saying, know the Lord. For they shall all know me from the least to the greatest. So, this is it. Number one, God will put his laws in our hearts. Number two, he says, God will be to you a God and it shall be to him a people. I'll explain what it is. And number three, he says that we will know God. Everyone will know God from the least to the greatest. Praise God. These are three main blessings, but there's a fourth one. It's as if it's three, yet it's four. And as if it's three. Praise God. Now, let's go to verse 12. Four. I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. Their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now, English says four, but that's not the Greek. The Greek word is hoti. H-O-T-I. Now, H-O-T-I. Hoti literally means precisely because. Yeah. Every Greek scholar will tell you that hoti means precisely because. So now, we have said that with the content of the New Testament, what will God do? He says he will write his law in your heart. He will build to you a God. And they shall all know me precisely because I will be merciful to their unrighteousness and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. So, there are different clauses. These are the clauses of the New Testament package. But this is the last clause of the package. So, the reason for the clause, the reason for the clause, The Colossus is the last gloss. So, the last clause is the cause of the clauses. So, the reason for the first three blessings is this one. So, the reason why God is going to be your God, the reason why he is going to write his law in your heart, the reason why you are going to know God is precisely because your sins will be forgiven. That's what it means. Precisely because he will forgive your sins. Your sins will be forgiven. So, all the blessings of the New Testament are predicated upon the fact that our sins are going to be forgiven. So, the reason we are enjoying these blessings is because our sins are forgiven. Precisely because I will be merciful. I will be merciful to their unrighteousness and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. So, there is going to be eternal forgetfulness of your sins. It was accomplished on the cross. The word no more, you see, no more. If I slap you no more, what does it mean? It means all this while I have been slapping you. But now I say I will slap you no more. It means that it is not going to happen again. So, previously God was always remembering our sins unto the blood. So, he says I will remember no more. And the word no more is the double strongest negation in the Greek language. The word is u. Me. So, u. Me means I will never, never remember. Not in any way, by no means remember. This is God speaking. I will never, never remember. Not in any means. By no means. Hallelujah. Praise God. So, God says I will be merciful. Now, listen. Are you following me? I will be merciful. Actually, the word merciful here is different from the word mercy. When we think of mercy. Actually, the real translation is not merciful. Because it is not a word for merciful in the Greek. The Greek word says I will be propitious. Let me explain. Let me explain. Assuming you are owing me. Okay. You are owing me. One million Ghana City. And you cannot pay. And because you cannot pay. With all your nine seats, you cannot pay. I'm sure you used some of the money to buy this seat. But because you cannot pay. I had compassion on you. And I said, okay. I forgive you. You go. I don't want you to pay. That is called mercy. I will be merciful unto him. That is not what God did. It is our forgiveness. We are not just forgiving mercifully. We are forgiving righteously. According to divine justice. Now, this is it. God didn't just say, okay. I have compassion for you. So, you go. God didn't do that. Let me tell you a story. There was this university in China. There was a university in China. There was this headmaster who was very wicked. And in the school, he had a flower. There was a beautiful flower vase. A flower vase, which was glass. Then he announced to the whole school at the university that whoever breaks it will pay $1,000. And everyone was afraid. Even if they are walking, they make sure they don't go close to the flower vase. But there was one student whom the headmaster, the chancellor actually loved so much. He loved the student so well. And he was the one who broke it. So, if you were the chancellor, what will you do? Because you can't say, you can't say, because I love you, go free. If the chancellor does that, he has been merciful, yet he's unjust. He has breached his own justice. It's like a judge at the court of law saying, okay, someone has committed murder, saying, because I love you, go scot free. It doesn't work like that. Everybody will murder everybody in town. And you have no rights to correct. So, the chancellor couldn't say, because I love you, go free, go scot free. He can't do that. He has been merciful to him, but he's unjust. For God to be able to forgive us, he had to forgive us justly. Because this one, he's letting a guy go, but it will turn back to the chancellor. He's unjust. So, do you know what he did? He went to the bank, withdrew money. And gave it to him to pay. By that action, you know what he has done? He has been merciful, and he has satisfied justice. He has done justly, and he has been merciful. If he had said, okay, you go, I love you, there would have been no problem. That's the word merciful here. It's the word propitious. What it has to do with payments. Our sins, God didn't say, you are just forgiven. No, it has been paid. It has been paid for. God didn't just say, because I like you, your sins should be forgiven. No. He gave us the payment to settle it, which is his son, Jesus Christ. That we settle. So, he said, be propitious. Propitiation is what is called satisfaction. It's the word for satisfaction. Propitiation is the satisfaction of God's righteousness. It's the requirement against sin. God is satisfied. The satisfaction of God's righteousness is the requirement against sin. Whereby, the satisfaction came through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. Whereby. So, when we say propitiation, two things happen with propitiation. Propitiation means that someone is offended. You've angered someone, but payment is done. And because payment is done, two things happen. Two things happen. The penalty of sin is now cancelled. And the anger of God is now abated. Now, divine justice is satisfied. Inflexible justice. So, God's justice is inflexible. Impartial justice is satisfied. Because the payment has been done. So, God himself cannot turn and say, okay, okay, I said I forgive you, but I've changed my mind. God can't even do that. And if God turns his mind to come against you, it means God was not satisfied with the previous payment. But what Jesus did is called propitiation. The Greek actually says satisfaction. God is satisfied eternally. Hallelujah. How long was God satisfied? The payment for your sins was not partial. You see, all believers know our sins have been paid for. But we do not know the extent to which our sins have been paid for. That is the problem of believers. So, we still have Old Testament mentality. Because in the Old Testament, your sins were forgiven one year. The day of atonement. That was the blood of animals. So, if the blood of animals could atone for their sins for a year, think of it. How much more the blood of. And Jesus paid for it once and for all and sat down. There's no other payment. So, I'm telling you that he paid for our sins past, present, and future. Past, present, and future. Your sins were not paid for from the time you were born to the time you were born again. Because when Jesus died, all your sins were in the future. So, he paid for it once and for all. That is why maybe your unborn children, even your unborn children, he paid for their sins. Your unborn children, how much did he pay? Did he pay for their sins the time they were born again? No. He paid for their sins. Yeah, lifetime. Obviously, he paid for it. If there's a sin Jesus didn't pay for, it means we have a big problem. But he paid for all. He couldn't have sat down. In the old temple, Jewish temple, there were no chairs. So, every high priest turned that daily. Oftentimes, offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sin. But this man, after he had offered up one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down. Forever. For by one offering, he has perfected forever those who are sanctified. Yeah. Praise God. So, the message here means it has to do with not just, okay, you've sinned against me. Okay. God didn't sweep our sins under the carpet and close his eyes and say, we've not done anything. No, there was a payment involved. And the payment was even an overpayment for what we did. Because of the value of the payment, the one involved, you know the one involved, the son of God. You have to know his exceeding preciousness, his excellent value, the son of God himself, himself. And he is more than all our sins put to himself. This is the God man. His blood was not ordinary. It was the blood of God himself. His blood is royal. His blood is kingly. He is God made flesh. And with that controversy, great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh. And the word was made flesh. and dwells among us, this is God, the Incarnate. son of god his value is more than all our sins put together it was his payment much more than being now justified by his blood it's jesus hallelujah thank you so now i want us to go back so the reason for the new testament is because of the death of jesus four the last clause is four that is the word haughty precisely because the reason for the three blessings i wanted to be in spirit the one who is showing this one so all right you are now in spirit okay because i will be merciful because because so are you here with me all right so i want us to go back and see the first blessing of the new testament the first package of the new testament blessing we under a new covenant you have to understand the terms of that new covenant what's the first one i will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts that's it that's the first lesson what does this mean what this means is that in the new testament it would never be difficult to know the will of god it was so easy to know the will of god for god to put his law into our mind and heart means that he has put his will into us now when the bible says law he's talking about his will psalm 40 verse 8 psalm 40 verse 8 verse 8 he says i delight to do thy will o god thy law look at it i delight to do thy will oh my god yea thy law is within my heart it's the same when god puts his law in your heart what it means is that you have the desire to do his will hallelujah this is a messianic sum about jesus okay so he says that the first blessing of the new testament is that he's going to put his law into your mind and write it in your heart so god's will you will know god's will he'll put it into your mind and write it in your heart why your mind now he'll put his will in your mind to know them then he will write his law in your heart to love them it's both the mind and the heart the mind to know it the heart to love it listen how do you know the will of god now one of the blessings of the new testament is that the first blessing is that you you know his will you know the will of god you know what god wants do you know that we all know what god wants but we complicate ourselves we all know what god wants i want us to read do you have the the living bible let's read the living bible i want you to see what i'm talking about the living bible look at it but this is the new agreement which i'll make with the people of israel says the lord i will write my loss into their mind listen i will write my loss into their mind so that they will know what i want to do with them to do without even my telling them you understand i will write my laws in their minds so that they will know what i want them to do without even my telling them you don't have to be chasing for prophecies to survive yeah yeah i will put my loss into their mind so that they will know what i want them to know to do without even my telling them and this loss will be in their hearts so that they will want to obey them you see it is god that will kept in you both to will and to do it's good pleasure 213. now i want you to you to know that the will of god is the best for your life you cannot improve upon god's will i don't know you see some people think that uh they have a better will than god's will no before you were born do you know that in someone some 139 there is a book about your life god has a daily schedule schedule for you and do you know that an efficient student from the amplified ampc god pre-planned your life and everything about you was good there was no evil there was nothing bad with it and god i'm telling you that the one who loved you arranged and pre-designed your days in your life you cannot improve upon it for instance you want to go and do masters in uk and god says no stay in ghana do you think going to uk will be better than being in ghana you cannot improve there is a way that seems right to a man by the end of the ways of death so what god wants for you someone told me that he he was she was afraid to pray for god to give her husband she was afraid to give him a husband she was afraid to give him a husband because she's afraid that god will give her someone she doesn't love and the person one one leg the person is twisted the person i said is that what you think about your god your father so you are afraid god god what you don't love it's wrong it's a kind of misconception about who god is what god can far better than what you can choose it's fabulous what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose it's a kind of misconception about who god is what you can choose school so you have to be with the Sunday school how will you feel because if you look at yourself you and Sunday school the difference is big you don't have any desire for Sunday school now when the prophecy comes now it doesn't the man is wrong even if he's right what it means is that it's not your time so don't quickly run to go and join a Sunday school keep playing the keyboard okay what will happen is that when it's time good now begin to put a desire within before you realize a Sunday school Sunday school when you see children then it is helping begin to bubble up because it is God that worketh in you both to desire and to do of his good so he gives you the desire and he keeps performance so when it's time don't just quickly rush to Gwen Oh I see they are going abroad but you realize that you now there is no don't rush that the God who said it will let it come to pass in fact he can even mention time but time lights are not always correct it's not always correct I'm telling you so allow yourself walk with God flow with God and the desire we build when it's time for that thing to be done got to keep the desire I know a couple. They have four or five children now. At the fourth birth, the wife really suffered. So the wife told me that even if the Holy Ghost tells me I should give birth again, I will not do it. That's what she told me. I will not do it. I just smiled. But the man, too, told me that that's what God has showed him. I said, God has showed me. So the man was using the word of prophecy to, God says, God says. The wife, too, said, it's the wife who has gone through a lot of challenges in pregnancy. So the wife, too, says, look, I'm not going to do it. And he also said, God says. I told her not to stop saying God says. Don't even say anything. Forget about it. Live your life. If it is God, it's a matter of time. When the time comes, how will she know it's the will of God? It is God that worketh in you both to will, to desire, and to do of his good pleasure. I'm telling you that after two or three years, the wife was the one person who was chasing him. I need another child. You see. So why? Because at the right time, God has written his desires in her heart. So that's what God does. He writes it in your heart. So you came to church and you knew you should sing. Where did that come from? Desire. Desire. It bubbles up. It bubbles up. Yeah. God has a way. Sometimes you don't want to give birth to a child, but you go to someone's name in ceremony and you see how the baby's face is looking nice and how they are in the song. And God can use that, I'm telling you, to desire in your heart. Yeah. So God, that's how he does his things. And these desires are supernatural. He writes them in your heart. And you begin to love them. You begin to love them. Love them. Praise God. I remember many years ago, I had a prophecy that I was going to teach the Bible. I got discouraged. I got broken heart. That I was going to be a teacher of the word. Because of all the gifts, the one I didn't like was to teach the word. Because at that time, I didn't even understand what it means to be a Bible teacher, teaching the word. What I knew was sign the school teachers. To sign the school. I didn't even know anything about teaching, teaching the word. What was popular was being an evangelist and being a prophet. So even my books, I wrote my name evangelist George Wolfe and Arthur. So I love to be called, I love to be called evangelist. I love to be called evangelist. So evangelist. So when God showed me, I got broken heart. I wrote it down and hid it somewhere so that God would not even see it at all. But when I write it down, I wrote it down. When the right time came. Oh my. God just pushed me into it. So it has to be the right time. And just check your heart. Anything that contradicts with God's dealings in your heart, watch it. If we're divided, take time and pray into it. Even if it's correct, probably the time is not right. Because it says, this is what I will do. I'll write it. So that I like this version. I will write my laws into their mind so that they will know what I want them to do. Without even my telling them. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So you will know it. You will know it. So if God wants you to work with the Sunday school, the desire will be there. If God wants you to work with the ashram team, when you come to church, the desire will be there. It will show up. It will come. If God wants you to pursue education, the desire will come. He will put it there. You know, you can live your whole life fulfilling the will of God without having received a single prophecy. But there's one person, he has received prophecies for a long time about one particular thing. God is confirming his love towards the person because there are challenges ahead. So God doesn't want him to leave the picture of what he wants. He wants him to do. So God keeps prophets confirming it. That doesn't mean he's so special. Of course he's special. But he has to stand in the midst of challenges. That's why it is coming so much like that. So don't think if you don't receive any prophecy, does God love me? Hey, God loves all of us. What are you talking about? Hallelujah. Praise God. Now the question is this. He says that we can easily know his will. Never think. Knowing God's will is difficult. We can easily know his will. But he said the last clause of the New Covenant is that precisely because I'll forgive their sins. Is that not so? Precisely because. Now the reason why we can discern God's will in our heart is precisely because he will forgive our sins and be merciful unto us. You know what it means? The more conscious you are about how much you are forgiving, the more easier it is for you to be led by God. Let me ask the question. Have you ever come to the place where you are divided? You cannot tell what God wants you to do. You are divided. You have to make a decision. But for a long time, you don't know whether you should take left, take right. You don't know which decision you should take. You are so confused. You are troubled. Have you ever come to that place where you are struggling to know what God has written in your heart? The truth is that one of the main reasons for such struggle is that you have still not yet believed how much you have been forgiven. You have still not believed how much you have been forgiven. You have not received the gift of God's full forgiveness for your life. Because this blessing is predicated upon the cross. That he will rise. It is his will in your heart for you to know them precisely because your sins will be forgiven. So the more conscious you are about what Jesus has done in removing your sins efficaciously, the easier it is for you to discern his will. So if you are confused, wanting to know his will, and you are distracted and struggling, the probability is that you still not believe in how much you have been forgiven. The greater you have the light into your forgiveness, the easier it is to discern his will. Why? Let me show you why. You see, God speaks to the heart. That's where he put the desires and that's where peace is. He leads us by his peace and by putting the desires there. So the heart is a very wonderful place. But let me show you where it becomes difficult. 1 John 3 verse 20. 1 John 3 verse 20 says that. Look at what it says, King James Version. For if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts and knoweth all things. Look at this verse. Does he say God has condemned us? The truth is that your heart can condemn you without God condemning you. God actually doesn't condemn anyone. God hasn't. It's your heart that condemns you. There is not therefore no condemnation to this world. So he said if our heart condemn us. If our heart condemn us. So listen. Do you know that if the devil is coming against you with condemnation, it doesn't matter what you have done. It doesn't matter what you've done at all. Do you know that for instance, As a man of God, you read one chapter. one of your members and he read ten chapters? He read ten chapters. And he has prayed faster than you. Maybe you've eaten, you've just one chapter, you sleep. Do you know that you're condemned for reading only one chapter? You can feel condemned. I'm telling you. The devil can't use anything to condemn you. You met your sister and oh, she's prayed three hours, but you barely made it in 30 minutes. Do you know you can be condemned? For condemnation, the devil can't condemn you anyway. Now, where does condemnation come from? From the heart. Because the conscience is in the heart. Now, when you are condemned, when you feel condemned, it's a work of the conscience in your heart. It troubles the peace of the heart. The peace in the heart is troubled. When your heart is condemned. So, when you carry condemnation, the very heart that should give you peace to endorse God's will for your life, that heart is condemned and it cannot give peace. So, it is difficult discerning God's will. Now, God will write on your heart, but you cannot get the answers. Because the same heart that should have the peace and the desires is actually affected. Because it feels condemned, and when the heart feels condemned, there is no peace at all. So, if you work in condemnation, you are likely to miss the will of God. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But condemnation is pride. Condemnation is self-righteousness. Condemnation is an insult to the one who paid for you. I'll come to it before I end. So, you shouldn't work in condemnation. Actually, when you work in condemnation, you are likely to repeat what you did. Condemnation actually incapacitates you and makes you so weak. Because it takes your mind from God. You are self-absorbed that you can repeat the sin for which you are condemned. Yeah? Praise God. So, I'm telling you that the reason if we are not conscious of harm. So, the blessings are because. Our sons will be forgiven. The reason. So, the more you are conscious about his love, about how much you have been forgiven, the easier it is for you to discern his will. Please, are you here? Thank you very much. Okay. Now, let's see the second blessing of the New Testament. The second blessing of the New Testament. Verse 11. Sorry, verse 10. Verse 10. And I'll be their God and they shall be my people. That's the second blessing. I'll be their God and they shall be my people. What does it mean? My friend can't let me use it for. If I meet, let's say I meet, I meet you in town, but you are homeless. I know you are not homeless. And you are wretched, but I know you are not wretched. You are hungry. I just meet an orphan and I call him and I walk with him and I tell him that, look, boy, from today, I'll be to your father. I'm going to be a father to you. If I tell him I'm going to be a father to you, what it means is that I'm pledging my loyalty to him. Telling him I'm going to be responsible for him. Now, if I tell you I'm going to be a father to you, what it means is that I'm going to be to you all that the name father is implied. I'll be to you all that the name father is implied. That means I'm going to care for you. I'm going to provide for you. I'm going to protect you. Whatever fatherhood is, I'm going to be to you. So when God says, I will be their God and they shall be to me a people, I will be their God. So God says he's going to be to you all that my name God is implied. All that is implied in my name God, I'll be to you. Hallelujah. Pastor Mark, Reverend Mark, you're welcome. I'll be to you all that my name is implied. What it means is that if you are sick, you think you are sick, what is my name? Jehovah Rapha. I'll be healing to you. You are without comfort. You are discouraged in life. What is my name? Jehovah Ruhai. The Lord is my shepherd. I'll be a shepherd to you. You think you have even failed in life. Remember, I am Jehovah Tikino. The Lord of Righteousness. That's what I'll be to you. Or you are defeated in life battles. Today you are defeated in all of that. Remember, I am Jehovah Nisi, the Lord of Banner. I am your victory. So he's saying, I'll be to you all that my name is implied. Whatever my name is, I'll be loyal to you. I pledge my loyalty. I'll be responsible for you. I'll be to them a God. So God being to them a God is a connotation of the miraculous. You'll see endless stream of miracles. Whatever I am, I'll be to you. Praise God. So if God is your God, that means whatever his name is implied, he'll be that to you. Thank you. Praise God. Now, King James Version, let's see Psalm 144. Let's read from it. From verse 12 to verse 15. Psalm 144. King James Version. I said from verse 12 to verse 15. That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth. That our daughters may be as cornerstones polished after the similitude of a palace. This is family blessing. Blessing on our children. You understand? The next verse. That our gardens may be full, affording all manner of store. We are talking about you have enough food in the house. Our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands on our street. This is prosperity. I mean prosperity. That our oxen may be strong to labor. That there be no breaking in or going out. That there be no complaining on our street. Prosperity with peace. And it says, happy is that people. That is in such a case. May you be in such a case. This is a better case. Happy is that people whose God is the Lord. That's what I'm talking about. So if God is your God and if the Lord is your God, this is your Lord. This is your inheritance. This is yours. It belongs to you. This is what a covenant means. This is what it means. Psalm 68, verse 7. So I'm telling you at this distance, you should believe it and confess them. You should confess them on your sons and daughters and on your home because they are yours. Hallelujah. Psalm 68, verse 7. Oh God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness, if God is your God, he goes ahead of you. In the Old Testament, the Ark of the Covenant was in your midst. But whenever there is a battle or a war, the Ark of the Covenant will go in front of them. So what it means is that whenever you are facing life's challenges, God goes ahead of you. So when thou didst march through the wilderness, the word march deals with military march. The militia are going ahead to fight for you. God will march. God will march. God will march. You see, when thou didst march in the wilderness, when they were in the wilderness, God actually marched before them against their enemies. And look at what happened. The next verse, verse 8. The earth shook. The heavens dropped at the presence of God. Even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. So you see, God, God, God, God. What God will do for you? Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance when it was weary. The rain here, go back, the rain here, it's not physical rain. The rain here has to do with the rain, God rained manna in quails. In Psalm 78, it says, Thou didst rain manna from above. Here it says, you did send a plentiful rain whereby you strengthened your inheritance, that is, the people of Israel, when they were weak, when they were hungry. He rained down, he rained, the word rain shouldn't, let me think, it's just water. For the period of 40 years, he kept rain down. What? Rain, manna. In Psalm 78, the Bible says, he actually rained down manna. So God brought manna. Do you know that, according to Jewish authorities, the manna that fell for a day could have fed Israel for 2,000 years? It came in such abundance. Yeah. God is more than enough. So, if God is your God, if you are like me, Lacking his Jehovah Jireh. And I'm telling you that one of his names is that he's El Shaddai. He's the more than enough God, the multi-breasted one. He can give you more than you can carry. So he calls you his inheritance. My, my, my, my, his inheritance. Now, he says, I'll be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. I want you to do something. Draw a circle in your book. Draw a circle in your book and put a dot in the middle. You are that dot, and God is the circle. Now, when he says, I shall be to them a people, in 1 Peter 2, verse 9, but he is a chosen generation and holy nation, a people of his possession, or a peculiar people, that word actually means a dot in a circle in the Greek. Now, look at the circle. The circle is God, and you are the dot. If someone wants to touch the dot, he has to touch the circle. That's where you are. Your life is hid with Christ in God. The dot is in a circle. It speaks of monopoly. That means the dot is only owned by the circle. That dot is outside. It is owned by the circle. It belongs to the circle. We are his inheritance. He confirmed his inheritance when it was worthy. We are the people of his possession. The Greek says we are his peculiar treasure, a treasure privately owned by a person. Hallelujah. That's who we are. We are in that dot in the circle. Why are you afraid of witches and wizards and Satan and principalities and power if you know who you are in him? You are owned by God. You are his possession. So he says, I'll be to them a God. That means that, listen, your life should be an endless stream of the miraculous. So whatever you need, he will be that to you. That's who he is that I am. He is that I am. Whatever you need, he is that I am to you. If you are like blind by tomorrow, he says, I'm the light of the world. And he opened his eyes. If you are dead Lazarus, he says, I'm the resurrection and life. Raised from the dead. If you are hungry, he says, I'm the bread of life. And he multiplied bread and fed them. Whatever you need. Whatever you need, he is to you. He is the answer and the solution to you. Praise God. So the first clause of the New Testament blessing has to do with knowing the will of God. Our hearts can easily know his will. The second clause of the New Testament blessing is miraculous. We walk in miracles. Because whatever God is, whatever his name is implied, he will be that to us. So we will see his miracles. God will be there for us. But if you believe, he says, I will. I will. By your response. He waits for your faith response. If you believe. Hallelujah. Praise God. Galatians 3 verse 5. King James Version. Galatians 3 verse 5. He therefore that ministereth to you the spirit and worketh miracles among you. Do what he is by the works of the law or by the healing of the spirit. He says, the one who is supplying the spirit to you and the one who is working miracles among you. How are you receiving those miracles? Is it by earning it or deserving it or by faith response? He is saying, how do you receive miracles? Is it by saying, okay, I'm going to earn it. I'm going to do this and this and this to deserve it. Or by believing. Believing means it is done, it has been paid for, I'm receiving it. Paul is asking a question. But you see, he that works miracles. The Greek actually is in the present continuous things. He, the one who is constantly performing miracles amongst us. Do you know that God is constantly working miracles around us? God is not working occasional miracles. From when you wake up in the morning to you sleep. A lot of miracles. The miracle actually takes place. You have no idea. There was a fly that was supposed to enter into your eye. And the angel just hit your head small and it passed away. I'm not saying that if something falls into your eyes, your angels were lazy, no. But that's the normal. If it was going to blind you, it would have taken it away from you. So I'm telling you that we are receiving constants. You have no idea the food we buy and eat, the miracles we are experiencing. With the food we eat. Yeah. The food we eat. We are experiencing so many miracles. You say this is a very great restaurant. You have no idea what happened inside. Yeah. A certain woman was serving soup and the sun sneezed and a flame entered the soup. That's a natural one, you know. Someone with integrity would have set it aside. But this woman just mixed it, you know. To her it is nothing and she served it. And people really enjoyed the soup. What you don't know doesn't affect you, you know. But God protects. And so many things God is doing that we may not know, we may not see, is constantly working miracles. Constantly working miracles. And sometimes where we miss it is where we work in doubt, in fear, in worry, and unbelief. That's how come we don't receive a lot of things God has made freely available for us. Yeah. They are ours, but we have fears and worries and anxieties and doubt. And so these things seem to hinder the flow of faith. Because faith is heaven's currency. Faith is easy. Very simple. Never come to a place where you think faith is difficult. You have already passed the greatest test. Listen, the faith you had to be born again is the greatest. You can never believe for anything greater than the salvation you already obtained. So everything is less. Everything is less. That's why the more you hear, the more you believe. The more you hear, the more it ushers you into rest. You realize that, hmm, it's as simple as, I never knew it was that simple. Our mind actually, I mean, you know, trouble us and makes us, you know, work conscious and strive, thinking we have to end it. That's where the problem is. So it is by the hearing of faith. Believe. When you wake up in your, believe that God is protecting you when you sit in the car. Believe that God is protecting you when you sit in the plane. Believe your water is blessed, your food is blessed. Whatever his promises are, you believe it. But you see, you can come to a place where. So this is it. This second blessing, let's connect it to the last clause. This is precisely because I'll be merciful to the unrighteousness. If the more conscious you are about your forgiveness in Christ, the more you'll experience his miracles. Have you ever come to a place where you want some doors to open to you, you want some miracles, but it is not happening? Most of the time, the root cause is because you, it's in your heart. You have not fully believed in his forgiveness. You have not fully believed in how much he has forgiven us. There's guilt and condemnation somewhere. There's something you feel you have to end. And that is the greatest impediment to the faith life. Hallelujah. Now, Romans 14.23 and Mark 11.23 tells us something. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat. You see, he that doubteth. Meanwhile, the word doubt here is not the Greek word for doubt. It's the Greek word for condemnation. There's a word there, krino. The word means through. Dia is through. Krino is condemnation. Through condemnation. Now, the Bible calls condemnation doubt. In fact, he that, there's a repetition of words. He that doubteth is damned. One condemnation. Listen. It's another condemnation. I don't want to go deeper so much into it. But let's go to Mark 4. Mark 11, verse 23. Verily, for verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart. Doubt is the word destazo. That's doubt. But actually, the Lord used the word diakrino. Diakrino. That is not a word for doubt at all. But he used the word diakrino. Diakrino. Thank you. Now, diacrino means to make a difference, but the root word actually has to do with condemnation. This is it. Now, Jesus is talking about saying to this mountain, Jesus says you can say to this mountain, be thou removed to yonder place. Now, in those days, when we talk about mountains, it was a rabbinical way of addressing problems. They called problems mountains. So, he says you can speak to your problem, and your problem will just disappear. Praise God. Jesus had just cursed the fig tree, and the fig tree collapsed. The fig tree, you know, was cursed. The next day, they saw the effect. Then Jesus says that, look, if you have faith, you will not only speak to the fig tree, but you can say to this mountain, be removed into yonder place, but if you will not make a difference in your heart. You will have the result. Let me give you an example. What does it mean to make a difference in your heart? Let's say you came to me, you have a headache. It's a man or a girl headache. Pray for me, headache. Oh, headache. You are healed in Jesus' name. I feel it's easy. So, you are healed. I don't even give attention. Headache. How many of you have prayed for headaches before? Someone says headache. But if someone comes and says cancer, stage five. Stage five. I'm telling you, it's okay. Hmm. Hmm. What have you done so far? You ask so many questions. I'm telling you. What is that they're getting so much questions is unbelief. Ask them so many questions because you yourself, you know that. You know, you are making a difference between headache and cancer thinking it is by your power or by your holiness, that's going to heal the cancer. And it is because you have guilt and condemnation. I don't think I'm powerful enough. I've not prayed enough. I've not fasted enough. Last week when I got sick, I don't think I'm holy enough. You know, you can disqualify. I have to do this. Do that. Do that. Meanwhile, when I got sick, I don't think I'm holy enough. With the headache, you didn't think of yourself this way. And the headache had results because it was independent of works. You knew it was the Lord himself. The Lord was healing and doing his work. But when it came to cancer, you thought it should be you. You should earn and merit. Meanwhile, it's by believing and receiving. So you are making a difference between the fig tree and the mountain. You are making a difference between the headache and the cancer by disqualifying yourself. You are making a difference between the pain and the pain. And that disqualification is called doubt. So, for instance, if there's a situation and you have to pray for a sick person or cast a devil out, you call the person in, when you're about to pray, a lot of things come to your mind. Now, you want a miracle. But the Bible says, how does a miracle come? Is it by the works of the law? Is it by earning and deserving it? Or by the response of faith? So, with the law, the law is like an insulation. The way electricity cannot flow through rubber or plastic. Once you are work-minded, hey, today I already read one chapter. I don't think God can use me. Look at what I said yesterday. I've missed my quiet time two days. How can I? You see, a lot of things are playing in your mind. And you are disqualifying yourself. You are disqualifying yourself. So, you lay hands and you are praying, but you know you are disqualifying yourself. You know. I mean, you are looking to works. A lot of things. I've not done this. I've not done that. It will not flow. It's like an insulation. But when you got there, you took your eyes from you. You took your eyes from you. You saw Jesus doing the work. You are just a vessel. And you look to him and you look to him to do it. I'm telling you that. The work will be done and his name will be glorified. Praise God. So, the reason we don't see miracles is that we don't know how much we have been paid for or forgiven. He says, I'll be to them a God and they shall be to me a people. Precisely because. The because is very important. Precisely because they are sent to be forgiven. So, the more conscious we are in the fact that he has forgiven us, the more conscious we are in the fact that he has forgiven us. The more, the more, the more, the more we can see miracles. The more we can perceive his will. Hallelujah. Thank you very much. Praise God. Praise God. Now, let's see the third one. Back to Hebrews chapter 8. Now, let's go to verse 11. And no one then will need to speak to his friend or neighbor saying, you too should know the Lord. Because everyone great and small will know me already. Now, King James Version. King James Version. So, the third one. The third clause of the New Testament lesson is that we are going to know God. We are going to be intimate with God. But he says that you will not need to teach your brother, saying, know the Lord. Because all will know me. There are two Greek words. The word know here is genosko. The word know here is oida. This is it. Genosko and oida. You will not tell your friend, know the Lord. That is genosko. Because all shall know me. That is oida. Or idu. Or idu. Hallelujah. The first know, genosko, is knowledge by experience. Knowledge by experience. There are some things to know you need to read books. The more you read books, the more you acquire that kind of knowledge. For instance, are you married? Are you married? So, if the day you meet your fiancée, or a damsel you want to learn, you want to marry, you don't just go and marry the person. You know that. You have to know, and it takes time to understand her. That's what you do. So, you make your calls. You talk. You gain knowledge by experience. You get to know her. Who she is, her belief system, her values, what she stands for. That acquisition of knowledge over time is called genosko. It's knowledge gained by experience. So, you get to know her before you marry her. So, you get to know him before you marry him. So that if you cannot marry him, you go your way. So, all you know, she may be beautiful, have all the physical vital statistics, but where you are going is north, and where she is going is south. You may not be able to go together. So, the more you study him or her, the more you get to know the person. That is called genosko. So, in the New Testament, there is a way you are going to know God. That doesn't come by experience. He says, "They shall all know me." The word genosko. The word is oida, which is revelation knowledge, intuitive knowledge. Knowing we deem, that just comes from revelation. It comes from we deem. We know him. Amazing. You know what God normally does? He says, "From the least." That means the first to know God will even be the least of us. It begins with the least before it gets to the greatest. That's amazing. Because when you read the Bible, Jesus gives attention to the least, the lost, and the last. They are the heroes in Jesus' message, you know. The first shall be the last, and the last shall be the first, you know. They shall all know me. Have you ever come to the place where you go like, "How can I know God? I wish I could really, really know God more. I wish I could know God. Why am I struggling to know God?" The Bible tells us that the root cause of this trouble is because you have not fully, fully believed how much he has forgiven you. Sometimes we may not even know the cause of our problems, but the Bible is saying that the reason why we will know the Lord by revelation is precisely because, the word is haughty, for I will be merciful. The reason why we will know God intuitively, instinctively, by revelation is precisely because I will be merciful, our sins will be forgiven. as an advantage. To do what they want to do. And they didn't understand it. Then the message is still on information level, not revelation. No, no, no, no, no. It's not revelation yet. Because you cannot behold the riches of redemption and not be delivered. Let me not go ahead of myself. Hallelujah. Praise God. So, I want to know God. I want to know God. But why do I keep running away from God? Listen. One reason why people are running away from God is fear of punishment. Or fear that God will bring their sins into remembrance. Because we have not adequately beheld what Jesus did. I'll zoom in. Can I ask two people here for illustration to join my brother? Okay. I like your tie. Okay. I'll zoom in. I'll zoom in. You are owing him. Okay. You are owing this brother. One million ganasities. You are owing him. And this guy, he's a creditor. He's looking for you to arrest you. He's chased you everywhere. He cannot find you. Now, I'll zoom in. You are going somewhere and you see him coming from a distance. But he's not going to find you. He's not going to find you. But he has not seen you. What will you do? Ah, of course. You will hide. Because you don't want any trouble. You should understand this then. The moment you feel like a son is not forgiving, you are carrying debts on your conscience. And once you are carrying debts on your conscience, God now becomes the creditor. And you become the one in debt. And the truth is that you start hiding from God. You keep running away from God. I'm telling you. When Adam sinned, he had to hide from God. For God to say, Adam, where are you? Because there was debt on his conscience. So when you carry debt on your conscience, you're going to run away. You're going to run away. But assuming this man, if you look at him, he looks very wealthy. Look at his shoe. Look at this nice. This is Zionist. Yeah. If you see this word. And he's your friend and he has your predicament. But he's making a transit from Dubai to Turkey. And from Turkey. So he hears of it and calls him and said, don't trouble the lady. How much is she owing you? Go like one million Ghana City. Say, for your trouble, I'll give you two million. Send me your bank account. So you receive the bank account and deposit the money in your account. And he goes, but you have, you don't have the information yet. You don't have the information yet. You still don't have the information yet. And, but a friend of yours got information that there has been some payments, but she also doesn't have the full message. So she met you and tells you that, oh, do you know that your friend has paid for you? And you ask, how much did he pay? Okay. I think he paid. Half or a little more than half. So what happens is that you are happy. Of course you're happy, but your happiness is not complete. So it's not complete. So when you see him, when you see him, it's half, halfway, halfway. 50-50. Maybe at the beginning you may meet him, but after 50-50, you have some ill feelings. Because ill feelings, you are not totally free. But meanwhile, he's so happy, he cannot wait to see you because for him, this guy has overpaid and because of your debt, he's now rich. So he cannot, he's so happy. He's longing to see your face, but you also don't have the right information because the right message has not been delivered onto you. So you are still entertaining guilt here and there, and this becomes your problem. Although she's bringing a good news. The news is not good enough. But if there be a messenger with him, one among a thousand, to show unto man his uprightness, then he is gracious unto him. So the problem is that you have not received the good news in full. So although the payment has been done for you, you will keep running away. Because you are still carrying debt in your conscience. The reason people are running away from God is that they feel that, they still feel, God is holding something against them. The New Testament is totally different from the Old Testament. Listen, in the New Testament, your sins don't separate you from God. It's not blasphemy. Your sins don't separate you from God. In the Old Testament, it separated you. In the New Testament, when you sin, you don't have to run away from God. Because, so the Bible says that, listen. That is why I spoke to someone two days ago. The person is serving God sincerely. But the person fell. The guilt. The guilt has been so much that, now, he called me and said he wants to go back to his old ways, and what he was doing when he was in the world. Now, he wants to go back to what he was doing. He says when he was in the world, he was smoking, he was drinking, he was doing, but the guilt is so much that, and he's not also being received the way he ought to be received. So he tells me, he told me, I'm tempted to go back to the world. And I have encountered people like that who actually went back. Because they felt that God is done with them. That's a poor foundation of understanding what Jesus has given us. That's why I'm saying that we don't have the full understanding. So, you may think you know how much you are forgiven until there is crisis somewhere in your life. The Bible says that, "Haven't therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus." By a new and a living way which he has consecrated for us. Now, there is a new and a living way. In the Old Testament, we had an old and a dying way. Now, we have a new and a living way. As you are going through the Father, you are going through the blood. Do you know what it means, the blood? The blood is the receipt of the payment for your sins. So, even if you have sinned, you are going to the Father. You are going through the receipt of payment. Because if you see blood, blood means death has occurred. Blood means there is a death that has occurred. So, as you are going through the blood, that punishment for that sin has already been borne by an innocent victim, by a substitute. Jesus has borne it for you. That's why today, even, because, listen, what is sin? You only say sin is, you only call some sins, sins. But do you know that worry is sin? Do you know that fear, the first category of people to enter into hell, but they're fearful. And they're unbelieving. Do you know fear is sin? Unbelief is sin. So, gossip is sin. Do you know that that evil thought that came to your head is a sin? If God is to receive you by what you do and what you don't do, oh my God. Because even when you were worshipping, that thought that came to your head. Yeah, that thought that came to your head in worship. Yeah. Yeah. Even when you're in a choir, you thought you had dressed better than your friend. Do you know that you can have covetousness in your heart? The Bible says covetousness is idolatry. So, if God, if thou shouldest mark iniquity, who shall stand? Who shall stand? But there is forgiveness in thee that thy name mayest be feared. So, if God is to count all of these things, you can't qualify. That is why now we go through the blood. We go through the blood. Praise God. Yeah. The reason you can be freed is that that sin has been paid for. You don't have to pay for it. Let me show you something. Okay. The man of God said I should show it, so I'll show it. When God made man, man didn't have a conscience to begin with. But the moment he sinned, he had a conscience. Or rather, his conscience was also activated. Because when man was sinless, he had no need for a conscience to accuse him because there's nothing wrong he would do. The conscience is very good for the unbeliever, but it can be challenging for the believer. Listen, after the fall, conscience is very necessary. If there was no conscience, you can imagine what the world would have been. If you put a child, put his hands on a hot stove, he quickly takes his hands off. After the fall, pain is very necessary. Because the pain tells you, keeps your hand from burning. So, when you do wrong, your conscience tells you, you are wrong. That is what tells you to stop. That is what judges you that wrong is wrong and right. It's a conscience. So, every unbeliever has it. And every believer has it. the challenge is this. Now that we are in Christ and our sins have been paid for, the greatest problem the believer is now going to face will be his conscience. So that although, although it has been paid for, when you do something wrong, you don't even know how wrong that thing is. Sometimes you cannot even tell what you are. You see, when you do something and the conscience pricks you, you can live in guilt the rest of your days. And you know what it means. All the while it has been paid for, yet you are carrying the guilt. You are carrying the debt. This man sees that you are always hiding from this man. He's now seeing that, why are you always hiding from him? But he knows he has paid fully. You know, if it has been fully paid and you are still hiding, it becomes an insult to your benefactor who paid for you. Because you are not honoring him. You are pretending as if it has not been paid for. So carrying guilt is living in pretense. Carrying guilt is honoring the benefactor that did the payment. You understand? So you know what we do to the guilt. This is what we do. This is what we do. Hebrews chapter 9, verse 14. Verse 14. How much more? Quickly. How much more shall the blood of God of Christ? Quickly. Who through the eternal spirit offered himself without support to God paid your conscience from dead works? Now what is dead works? So sometimes, you know you are wrong. When people know they are wrong, they use dead works to settle their debt. So some even, there are some who want to give to orphanages. They want to give gifts. They want to do a lot of good works. There are people who even, to the poor, there are people who even go to orphanages as missionaries. All to, with those, do a lot of good works to appease their conscience. The Bible calls that dead works. Dead works. Dead works because all the world, the blood of Jesus has paid for it. Has paid for it. So, how do you know? See the word conscience, conscience, there is corn and there is science. The word, in Latin, actually means through knowledge or by means of knowledge. Because we have not received the right knowledge, we still carry the guilt in our conscience. Yeah? For instance, when I was a young man, I was taught that wearing trousers was a sin. So my father brought trousers from Germany for me. I never wore them because I thought I was sin. So one day, I wore the trousers and I felt guilty because I thought I was sinning. Even as a man, I thought I was sinning. So the ladies I was leading, nobody could wear trousers. So in those days when I was coming, if a lady spots me from a distance with their parents, they would leave their parents and they would run to the house and change their dress if they are in trial before they can come and meet me. I was not only, I didn't only preach the law, I was actually a lawyer. The moment I wore trousers, I felt guilty because I had received the wrong knowledge. But when I, I renewed my mind, now when I wear trousers, I don't feel guilty again. Hallelujah. So when the believer is wrong, you, when the believer does something wrong, the Bible tells him to repent. Repent means that you judge it as wrong and you turn away from it. I don't have to carry the guilt that I've not been forgiven. It's a lie. That is why the only remedy in the epistles, when a believer is wrong, Paul will say, repent. But he doesn't spend, he doesn't, he doesn't say so much about do this. It just repents means that you, you judge it as wrong and you turn away from it because you have been forgiven. You see, we confess our sins not to be forgiven. We confess our sins because we have been forgiven. It is because we have been forgiven that we repent. Repentance means we turn away from it because sin is sin and that's not, that's, we are dead to it and that's the entire nature. How shall we who are dead to sin live any longer than we are in? We have the nature of holiness and that's how we have to live by that nature. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Know God. Sometimes you wake up in the morning. You slept but you wake up in a bad mood. As if God, no, as if you have a problem with God but there's nothing wrong you've done. I've had that feeling before. It's like, you wake up as if God has something against you. So you try to remember what have I done, what have I done? You don't even find. So your feelings are not redeemed. So don't let your feelings detect the pace of your life. So when I wake up, despite my feelings, I say, Father, thank you for making me the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Yeah. Yeah. That's what he has done. Wake up with joy. That's how come you can be very intimate with God. You can talk with God. You can walk with God. Yeah. Now, assuming you are talking with God and all of a sudden you forget that you are talking with God and you start thinking about your love for rice and chicken. The eh, eh, eh. Lord, I'm sorry. Do you know that thought? Yeah. I had a friend like that. A little thought will incapacitate him. A little thought will destroy him. Just even jollof rice would keep him away from God for a while. Yeah. One day, this wealthy guy, one day he was, people, he had this company, he asked this company, people came for interview and the guy wore a t-shirt with the name Papes Pisa. And the guy was the best. But as he was interviewing him, he saw the word Papes Pisa. He turned and said, oh, I have blasphemed. Why? Because I attribute Pisa to Papa, Papa God. So he disqualified the guy. He disqualified him. He called to tell me, so he disqualified. Meanwhile, the guy, why did the guy even wear that t-shirt for the interview? He wasn't led by the spirit. He should have won something different. So people are guilty for a lot of things in their mind. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Praise God. Yeah. Yeah. You can tell the Lord you are sorry because he has already forgiven you. And you can flow with him knowing how much he has loved you. Hallelujah. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you. The reason we have eternal life is to know God. It's for intimacy. This is life eternal that they may know thee only through God. The reason for eternal life is to know God. But entertaining guilt and condemnation, we cannot know God. We cannot know God. We cannot know God. Now in Latin, the word guilt means I deserve to be punished. Yes. So, guilt. Yeah. One word for condemnation is the word catachrisis. The Bible says that if the minister of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness excel in glory. One word for condemnation is catachrisis. That means if you live in condemnation, kata means something that dominates your life. And crisis, K-R-S-E-S, is where we get the English word C-R-I-S-E-S, crisis. So, catachrisis is your life dominated by crisis. That's the Greek word for condemnation. So, if you live in condemnation, you are opening your life to be dominated by crisis. You understand what it means to have financial crisis? Or to have health crisis? Because you are saying that what Christ took it, I want to bear it myself. Praise God. May you be freed from condemnation in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Oh, my. 2 Peter, chapter 1. I want us to read from 2 Peter, chapter 1. Verse 5 to verse 9. That's our last part of scripture. All right. It says, And beside this, given all diligence, add to your faith virtue. So, you, the believer, you should add to your faith excellence. The word virtue here is excellence. You should add some excellence to your life. And to excellence, some versions actually say excellence, knowledge, and to knowledge, self-control. So, you, the believer, you need self-control. That's temperance and criteria to be able to hold yourself in. You understand? Temperance. Look, when you are in the supermarket and you want to wee-wee, do you say, it's coming, so let me just allow it to happen because it's my right. You don't do that. You're able to hold yourself in. Yeah, when you're in the supermarket, you hold yourself in because of self-control. That's how we do it. we can hold ourselves in in the temptations of life. Whether it's sexual temptation, any kind of temptation, we call that temperance. It is the word for self-control. You can hold yourself in. Hallelujah. So, then temperance add patience. And patience, you add godliness. And to godliness, you add brotherly kindness. The word is philio. And to philio, you add agape. So, it's philio and agape. Philio is we have to be friends. And agape is God's love reeling amongst us. These are wonderful things. The next verse. For if these things be in you and bound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The next verse. But he that lacketh these things is blind, cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his own sins. But he that lacketh these things is blind. He that lacketh these things is blind and has forgotten. So, he that lacketh. Now, what does it mean? Now, so in the Christian faith, we have to be abundant. Is that not so? So, it says add. So, to your faith, add some excellence. And to your excellence, add some knowledge. And to your knowledge, add some temperance. And to some temperance, add some patience. And to some, your patience, add, keep adding godliness and kindness. Just add, add. Talking about the kind of life you have to live. So, in all of these things is the fruit of the spirit. The quality of life we have to live. But here he says that if you are not doing that, there's a reason you are not doing that. If we cannot see these things happen in your life, we cannot see kindness and patience and godliness in your life. It's because he that lacketh is blind. Now, the word blind in Greek is not the one who has lost his sight, but the one who has lost his eyes. You know, to lose your sight means that you have your eyes, but you cannot see. But this one, the eyes are gone. So, it's describing how blinded he is. The word lack is two words. It's the word parimi and me. Me, parimi. Let me explain. Assuming you are sitting on your breakfast table in the house. You are sitting. And you have milo, the milo on your table. You have margarine. You have hot water. You have cheese. You also have coffee. Tea leaf. You have everything. You have cutlery. It's just in front of you. Then you have bread and everything for a good, well-balanced breakfast. Okay. It's just. At a proximity. You just have to, what, eat it. But if those things are before you, you are hungry, but you cannot see them. You cannot see the things just in your immediate presence. That is the word lacketh. That's the word lacketh. What it means is that all the virtues that were mentioned are things that is present with us already in Christ, in the Holy Ghost. So, you can't even see what is yours in Christ. All these things belong to you. you understand so he's saying that if you lack these things then you are blind and cannot see afar off you have forgotten so you are blind and cannot say afar off haven't forgotten that's the rendition haven't forgotten that he was perched from his old sons so the reason he cannot manifest those things is because he's blind the reason he's blind and cannot see afar off is because he has forgotten how much he was forgiving he has forgotten how much his sons have been forgiven you see how peter now look at the root cause of not bearing the root cause of non-godly the root cause of not working in patience and in godliness and in kindness and in agape is because we are not conscious that our sons are gone we are not conscious that we have been preached well he has forgotten about the purification of his sons i like that version he's forgotten about the purification of his sons now the word page or purifier here is the same word jesus used for the cleansing of the leper when jesus told the leper that you jesus told the leper he's cleansed it's not the same word it's a word for a leper being cleansed can the leper be cleansed and he forgets that he has been cleansed and remember that leprosy in the bible is a symbol of our son nature our sin the symbol of our sin that is why in the old testament if someone is leprous from his head to his feet if his whole body is leprous he the bible says he's clean because he qualifies for his savior because he's a total sinner all right all right so how can the leper be cleansed leprosy is a symbol of our sin that he's forgotten is cleansed but there are people who have been born again but they have forgotten their sins are gone and he's saying that if you forget your sins are gone you can't bear fruit if if you forget your sins are gone you can't work in the fruit of the spirit that is how damaging guilt and condemnation is so once you forget your sins are gone you are not working in his love because every day you wake up loving him because of what he's done for you because that reason for the cross his redemption you you can't even love him there was a woman who came to jesus who was a prostitute and she came to worship jesus at his feet and wiped jesus's feet with her hair and the tears from her eyes jesus says she loves much because she's forgiving much the reason why she loves much is because her sons which are many are forgiven so those who know how much they are forgiving chances are that you are going to love the lord much so the revelation you have into about your forgiveness will actually enhance your love life for the lord jesus christ so are you working in faith are you working in excellence are you working in temperance are you working in knowledge are you working in patience are you working in godliness or are you working in holiness or are you working in kindness are you working in agape the love of god he says if distance are lacking you've forgotten how much you have been cleaned cleansed you've forgotten how much you have been forgiven you have forgotten praise god but i wanted to see something he says but here the lucky distance is blind and cannot see afar off listen haven't forgotten what does it mean cannot see afar off he cannot see afar off haven't forgotten that his sins were forgiving he cannot see afar off now what does it mean to see afar of these all died in a faith and not having received the promises but haven't seen them afar of they were persuaded of them and embraced them and they confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth and they confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth he's talking about the heroes of faith in hebrews chapter 11 from verse 13 and truly if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out they might have had opportunity to have returned but now they desire a better country which is unheavenly therefore god is not ashamed to be called your god for he has prepared unto them a city the bible says that when the fathers walk upon the earth in hebrews 11 from verse 13 they saw something afar off like abraham and he looked for a city which has foundations whose builder was whose maker and architect is god listen those who do not know how much they are forgiven they cannot see afar off they don't have eternal perspective to life they don't have eternal perspective to life to see afar of the scribes having eternal perception or eternal perspective to things becoming heavenly minded or heavenly conscious about things those who cannot see afar off are actually earthly minded do you know why because they they don't have assurance of salvation and they don't have the security of salvation they are not even sure they will make it to heaven and once you're not sure you make it to heaven you cannot see afar and once you are not even sure you make it there it affects your present living so that you do your best to attain and achieve a lot of things in this life you become earthly conscious earthly minded earthly perception governs your life because you you know you don't make it or you may not make it so that country is not yours you don't have eternal perception to things i'm telling you that we are supposed to live our daily life living heaven on earth have an eternal perception to our day-to-day running you can forgive others because you know about heaven and people are fighting for fame because they think all that they have is in this life but these guys the bible says because they saw from afar they only say we are strangers in this life we are pilgrims knew it's a short time we are just moving through this life we are strangers and pilgrims this is not our eternal dwelling so they saw it and they confessed that they were strangers and they were pilgrims so i'm telling you that one reason why people are earthly minded they want to amass things on earth for themselves they can't forgive they are fighting is because i don't see afar off because but once you know listen once you know that heaven is yours eternity is yours because your sins are gone once you know and have eternal perception and perspective to things you know what happens things around you will change you you become heavily minded for our citizenship it's in heaven the bible says set perfection on the above and not on things below for ye are dead and your life is hit with christ in god so that's where we are we see him we see his glory the earth is temporal it's transient we are strangers we are pilgrims because we can see from afar why can we see from afar because god has qualified us because heaven is ours not that we go to heaven we are already citizens of heaven so we because we our sins have been purified and we belong to him we have assurance of salvation and we have security of salvation so therefore we can apply heaven to the present time and we can know that we are just pilgrims and and very soon we are going home but those who don't know how much they are forgiving disqualify themselves and cannot see that they belong to that country they are not sure they will even make it therefore there's a short circuit there is a cut there's a shortage of supply they live only for this life they live for the fame of this life unconsciously that's what they are pursuing but they cannot tell they live for what they can get in this life for what what they can get in this life that's what they live because they know eternity is not for them that's what they live for because they know eternity is not for them for them they know their sons have disqualified them but once you know about the purification of sins once you know about these things you can see from afar you can see from afar you can see from afar we can see from afar while we look not on the things that are seen but on the things that are not seen for the things which are seen are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal we look for that which is to come looking for that which is to come looking for that which is to come looking for that which is to come looking for that blessed hope and the glorious blessed hope and the glorious blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great god and our lord appearing of the great god and our lord appearing of the great god and our lord jesus christ we look unto him we behold jesus christ we look unto him we behold jesus christ we look unto him we behold his glory we look unto him for the glory his glory we look unto him for the glory his glory we look unto him for the glory that is yet to be received for our that is yet to be received for our that is yet to be received for our conversation is in heaven from whence we conversation is in heaven from whence we conversation is in heaven from whence we look for our lord and savior jesus christ look for our lord and savior jesus christ look for our lord and savior jesus christ who shall change our also to subdue all things unto himself subdue all things unto himself subdue all things unto himself for we know for we know for we know that if that if that if our earthly tabernacle of this house were our earthly tabernacle of this house were our earthly tabernacle of this house were dissolved we have a building of god dissolved we have a building of god dissolved we have a building of god and house not made with hands eternal in and house not made with hands eternal in and house not made with hands eternal in the heavens the heavens the heavens we belong to heaven we belong to heaven we belong to heaven there's a country we belong to there's a country we belong to heaven is ours heaven is ours heaven is ours heaven is ours heaven is ours heaven is ours we are born from love we are born we are born from love we are born we are born from love we are born again again again our names are in the lamb's book of life our names are in the lamb's book of life our names are in the lamb's book of life our cells are cleansed we have been our cells are cleansed we have been our cells are cleansed we have been purified purified purified because we have been purified heaven is because we have been purified heaven is because we have been purified heaven is yours and heaven is mine we are assured yours and heaven is mine we are assured yours and heaven is mine we are assured and we are secured we have put on the and we are secured we have put on the helmet of the hope of salvation hey hey listen listen listen listen the bible says beloved are we the children of god or the sons of god and it does not yet appear unto us what we shall be but we know that when he appears we shall be like him and every man that has this hope in himself purifies himself even as he's pure i'm telling you that if you we have the hope of going home in ourselves we will walk in purity because it says every man that has this hope purifies himself even as he's pure why because we have that hope it is called the blessed hope we know heaven belongs to us we know heaven is ours we know about the purification of sins we know we're qualified by his qualification we know to the praise of the glory of his grace wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved we're not accepted by our works we are accepted in the beloved therefore his acceptance becomes our acceptance we are accepted in the beloved hallelujah heaven is ours we can see afar off we can see afar off we can forgive we can give we can love we can endure trouble and trials and challenges because we know it's just temporal it's transient it's transient it's transitory it's a short time we don't belong here we are passing through if you call on the father who without respect of persons judge every man according to his works pass the time of your second in him in fear we are saturnists we are strangers we are wayfarers we are passing through thank you jesus thank you jesus listen i want you to lay hold on his forgiveness now listen listen the word forgiveness listen in the greek is the same word for deliverance the bible says he came to preach deliverance to the captives it's the same with forgiveness the captives why if you know how much you are forgiving that is how you can lay hold on your deliverance every sin you know you have been forgiven of you are free to walk out from the power of that sin you are free to walk out from the power of that sin because in your forgiveness lies your deliverance because the word deliverance and forgiveness is the same thing because his blood the same blood that forgive you the same blood that delivered you praise god so to know how much you are forgiven means you know how much you are delivered from the power of sin from the power of sin from the power of sin the power of sin my brother my sister if you know how much you have been forgiven you can descend the will of god he has forgiven you in the past in the present in the future all your sins are forgiven it has been forgiven once and for all that's what jesus did we shouldn't limit what jesus did it's once and for all in the greek is in the perfect tense first john 2 verse 12. it's in the perfect tense means once and for all past present and future in the perfect tense of our forgiveness present tense is indicative it's a matter of fact it established it's a spiritual truth spiritual fact is established we have been forgiven therefore we can discern god's will we can work in miracles we can know god we can bear fruits we can work in love we can work in patience we can work in godliness if we know how much we have been forgiven lift up your voice and bless his holy name thank you jesus thank you jesus
